Idk if this is the right sub but here goes. I'm a university student currently living at home with my single mum and a young sibling (who doesn't work). My mum, whose job is barely above minimum wage, made various irresponsible financial decisions and then often at the end of the months doesn't have enough money to pay her bills. (She drops 500+ dollar on a fancy perfume this month) And then she told me to pay her bills. And it would be big sums too. Like 500+ dollars everytime and it's a very big amount for a university student like me. I'm very stressed out because it seems like she wants me to graduate so she can quit her job and made me the sole provider instead. It's causing me to be angry and resentful of her, because it seems like all my efforts to be frugal is out of the window cuz I have to keep covering electricity, gas, wifi bills, etc

I'm renting a flat in Barcelona, my rental contract is from May last year and is a 12 month contract that says something about automatically renewing up to five years.
I forgot to update my padrón when I moved here, so it's currently still using my old address elsewhere in the city.
If I book an appointment to change the address, what do I definitely need to take?
I obviously have my rental contract, but reading online it says something about signed documents needing to be no older than 3 months old. Obviously, it's now over a year since the contract was signed so I'm not sure if I can use it?
It also mentions showing payment receipts for rent, utilities, etc. which also need to be within the last 3 months. I have an internet bill within that time, but for the last few months we've paid the rent from my girlfriend's account rather than mine (we're both on the rental contract) so I can't show a rent payment receipt from my account within that time frame. Do I need both?
Lastly, is there anything else I need? At my last flat I don't remember all of the documents I had to take, just that it took a couple of appointments as they said I couldn't just use a rental contract (they wanted notarised documents showing my landlord was a controlling director of the company that owned the apartment, also a castral reference or something like that).

Throwaway account as my wife also uses reddit.
Background We are married for 23 years, and my mum always did not really like my wife, but as we are overseas we don't see my parents often so they managed stay cordial until recently.
Recently though, everything changed. My sister is looking after and stays with my mom (dad passed away last year). They have a summer holiday house, and also had a flat as their permanent residence. The flat though, was deemed to have faults so they received a notice to get it demolished and rebuilt.
I also had an investment rental flat in the same city, so my wife and I offered them our unit to stay until things are sorted. It was my wife's idea to do so. We gave a notice to our tenant and my mom and sister were going to move in.
At the same time, they sold another property they don't use, and with the money bought a new flat.
Here is the complication:
Instead of moving out of my and my wife's rental, they decided to rent the new flat to my sister's boyfriend. They really like the boyfriend as he helps them out quite a bit, helped find this new flat, and was kicked out of his own rental at the same. So my mum thought it would be the right thing. My mum also said she thought this is the right thing as we don't really need the rental income.
I don't actually need the rental income, and even though I thought it was a bit odd, since she is my mum and quite elderly, I thought I will let this and didn't object. Being quite elderly with lots of health issues, it is hard for her to move in quick succession. My mum is 80+ and has a few issues with mobility, along with severe asthma, and a few other things. My sister is around 55 and she doesn't work. They both receive a modest pension, which is barely enough for day to day expenses.
My wife however thought this was unfair, and since they bought their own flat they should move there. I asked her not to talk directly to my mum, and to leave this to me as my mum is always defensive when it comes to money matters, I feared their relationship would be damaged. She did call my mum directly, and it escalated from there, there was a huge fight, things were said on both sides.
This was about 4 months ago. Initially I was very upset at my wife to raise this directly as I knew this would happen. Daily life and work is stressful enough and at least home should be peaceful. Since then I thought the best way to handle this was to compartmentalise this, I would only speak to my mum on occasion and wife/mum would have no contact. They have no contact at the moment. I speak with my mum and sister, but it is a bit strained quite often.
That sounded the best way at the time but I can see my wife is still very resentful of the whole situation.
Further complicating this, is my wife's mum now also has to vacate her house. Due to some legal issues (they very stupidly signed a document making them liable when investing in something done by a scam artist, and now her house could be taken by a bank due to the actions of the scammer). So the lawyer advised she should sell the house, and and move in to another one bought with the money, though the new house will be in her daughters' name). My mum in law has also been diagnosed with Alzheimers few months ago, and my dad in law also passed two years ago, and we want to do the right thing by her.
So, currently my wife wants my mum/sister to vacate our rental, so her mum can stay there while looking for a new house, once her house is sold.
My mum and sister see themselves as the victims, and get very defensive about the whole thing when discussing. They do not at all see themselves at fault. They have some vacant country acreage inherited from my dad, and we now put these on sale so hopefully they can get another flat for themselves to live in. My mum/sister don't pay rent now, but said they will once they get some money from these sales (they have a very low income).
Now, I am in a sticky situation. I don't really want to force mum to vacate and would rather if she moved at her pace. At the same time, we also need to help my mum-in-law.
An option I will float by my wife is to find a rental for her mum to cover the period when buying and selling. We can pay the rental costs, though I suspect highly she will see this as appeasing. My wife though is also very icy about the whole thing and just wants my mum to vacate as soon as possible.
TLDR My wife and mum got into a huge argument, stemming from the fact that my mum stayed in our rental flat even though they didn't have to. Now my wife wants them out so her mum can stay there for a few months. I don't want to force my mum out involuntarily, and wife sees this as hurting us.

Background We are married for 23 years, and my mum always did not really like my wife, but as we are overseas we don't see my parents often so they managed stay cordial until recently.
Recently though, everything changed. My sister is looking after and stays with my mom (dad passed away last year). They have a summer holiday house, and also had a flat as their permanent residence. The flat though, was deemed to have faults so they received a notice to get it demolished and rebuilt.
I also had an investment rental flat in the same city, so my wife and I offered them our unit to stay until things are sorted. It was my wife's idea to do so. We gave a notice to our tenant and my mom and sister were going to move in.
At the same time, they sold another property they don't use, and with the money bought a new flat.
Here is the complication:
Instead of moving out of my and my wife's rental, they decided to rent the new flat to my sister's boyfriend. They really like the boyfriend as he helps them out quite a bit, helped find this new flat, and was kicked out of his own rental at the same. So my mum thought it would be the right thing. My mum also said she thought this is the right thing as we don't really need the rental income.
I don't actually need the rental income, and even though I thought it was a bit odd, since she is my mum and quite elderly, I thought I will let this and didn't object. Being quite elderly with lots of health issues, it is hard for her to move in quick succession. My mum is 80+ and has a few issues with mobility, along with severe asthma, and a few other things. My sister is around 55 and she doesn't work. They both receive a modest pension, which is barely enough for day to day expenses.
My wife however thought this was unfair, and since they bought their own flat they should move there. I asked her not to talk directly to my mum, and to leave this to me as my mum is always defensive when it comes to money matters, I feared their relationship would be damaged. She did call my mum directly, and it escalated from there, there was a huge fight, things were said on both sides.
This was about 4 months ago. Initially I was very upset at my wife to raise this directly as I knew this would happen. Daily life and work is stressful enough and at least home should be peaceful. Since then I thought the best way to handle this was to compartmentalise this, I would only speak to my mum on occasion and wife/mum would have no contact. They have no contact at the moment. I speak with my mum and sister, but it is a bit strained quite often.
That sounded the best way at the time but I can see my wife is still very resentful of the whole situation.
Further complicating this, is my wife's mum now also has to vacate her house. Due to some legal issues (they very stupidly signed a document making them liable when investing in something done by a scam artist, and now her house could be taken by a bank due to the actions of the scammer). So the lawyer advised she should sell the house, and and move in to another one bought with the money, though the new house will be in her daughters' name). My mum in law has also been diagnosed with Alzheimers few months ago, and my dad in law also passed two years ago, and we want to do the right thing by her.
So, currently my wife wants my mum/sister to vacate our rental, so her mum can stay there while looking for a new house, once her house is sold.
My mum and sister see themselves as the victims, and get very defensive about the whole thing when discussing. They do not at all see themselves at fault. They have some vacant country acreage inherited from my dad, and we now put these on sale so hopefully they can get another flat for themselves to live in. My mum/sister don't pay rent now, but said they will once they get some money from these sales (they have a very low income).
Now, I am in a sticky situation. I don't really want to force mum to vacate and would rather if she moved at her pace. At the same time, we also need to help my mum-in-law.
An option I will float by my wife is to find a rental for her mum to cover the period when buying and selling. We can pay the rental costs, though I suspect highly she will see this as appeasing. My wife though is also very icy about the whole thing and just wants my mum to vacate as soon as possible.
TLDR My wife and mum got into a huge argument, stemming from the fact that my mum stayed in our rental flat even though they didn't have to. Now my wife wants them out so her mum can stay there for a few months. I don't want to force my mum out involuntarily, and wife sees this as hurting us.

My parents are the main caretakers of the godmother and as they are both retired, they have time to take her from the nursing home she is in to some walks, to the beach, to any family occasion, etc. My father is also the main executor of her properties right now.

This rentals would not only give them comfort and means to properly enjoy their retirement but also help me and my sister start our own families with more financial safety.
The problem is, they don’t want to sell anything, saying they want to recuperate all houses (they don’t have money nor time for that - father is 70) because it will all be for me and sister in the future and also because godmother is still alive. I honestly couldn't bring myself to open this up to others because it just feels too heavy. I tried opening this up to my family but they just disregard it.
My friend (let's call her Tina) died in an accident last month and I will always blame myself for it. She was so much like a sister to me. My actions indirectly caused her death, all because I kept quiet so that I could keep the "peace" and "friendship" with the other people who are hurting her. And with me tolerating the bullshit she's putting up with those people, our friends, caused everything.
First is our friend, and best friend, J. He's honestly an insensitive, egotistical, self-centered pervert who thinks his sexual jokes are funny and that he's very dependent on others to do stuff for him especially towards Tina. For several years, Tina put up with him but she was so fed up and distanced herself from him (and me, for a certain time) Then she opened up me a bunch of times more than a year ago about this. I could vividly remember just us 2 at the beach at night having this talk. We talked about so kany things and she told me her problems. How her family treats her like shit. Her abusive older siblings being careless and her being the one taking care and feeding her nieces because their parents were neglectful. Her experiences of SAs from different men, some who are her relatives. I could also remember that time when her boyfriend plead me to confront J because she's just so fed up and he can't stand her crying about it.
And on that night at the beach, I told her that I'm going someday but not now because I'm scared of ruining the friendship. And that's one of my faults. I tolerated abusive behavior and that made her distant from us. She isn't hanging out with our friend group anymore (that is, if J is there. We would secretly go out with some other close friends without J because we were just fed up with him).
Next is a former friend of ours: "Mae". Her absolute toxicness and laziness in helping at our thesis was the last straw for Tina and she quitted for a while. And of course, I have a fault in this because Mae was initially my best friend too. I kept quiet and did nothing with Mae's abusive behavior towards Tina as well. Because I was so scared of confrontation. I prioritized myself over her and that was my biggest mistake.
And lastly, the worst part.
Tina finally just went back to college and we're already a year ahead of her. Some friends are still closely keeping in touch with her. But on her current year, she got close with a former classmate of ours (we're formerly the same batch here) who also dropped school before and went back. Let's call her "Joy". Both of them became really close and would even always go to many places. They'd usually have roadtrips that are far from the city. I'm also included sometimes too since I'm the only one who's free and available from our circle. So the 3 of us became close and we would always go to different places, just living the life.
It was fun and exciting at first. Going to bars late at night, drinking. Going to faraway, beautiful places, we frequently visit beaches from different towns. And I'd usually be the one who would drive them to our destinations and when going home. I always made sure they're home safe, especially Tina. I wasn't really close with Joy until this year and I only tag along for the fun and because Tina's there.
But over the months, it just gets out of hand. We frequently drink travel further and further. Me and Tina were just following Joy's whims. Sometimes forced to. But we went for the sake of " experience " and "getting along". And Joy's behavior was getting toxic and overwhelming for us. I was getting fed up with Joy only calling me up when she needs something, like some company to listen to her tiring rants or someone to drive her around. And once she gets what she wants, she'll forget you existed until she needs something again.
I always had this hunch that Tina's fed up with Joy too but she's just forced to get. I know damn well that Tina's the type to not say no for the sake of peace too. But I never opened it up to her because she seems to have so much fun with Joy. And that led her to her death.
One night in May, Tina and Joy were planning to go to the next town over because there's a festival. They went after their class (ended at 7pm). The town's a 20-30 minute drive from ours. On that night, I wasn't able to come with them because I have a part-time shift until 10pm. So Tina used her motorcycle instead to drive there with Joy as her passenger. Hours later, it was almost midnight. They're driving home. It was reported that Joy drank so much while Tina only drank soda. And I know that Tina's a slow but steady driver. She'd never speed up on the road especially if it's dark.
But she's too late to realize that the road's been broken off. The warning sign's just right before the broken road. She crashed head frist and died after midnight.
Joy was far from the crash. She was on the asphalt side. She was mostly unscathed and was able to walk around.
Before the accident, there were some witnesses from that town who said that they saw that the motorcycle was swaying left and right.
Joy survived. Tina didn't.
And then I thought that it's Joy's fault. She was a heavy woman and I know best that if she drank so much, she moves around a lot.
But then it dawned on me that it's not just her fault. I had a part in this. Then it all came flooding back and the guilt just becomes heavier each day after the accident.
If only I was braver and confronted J and Mae before, Tina wouldn't had to suffer so much and stay away from the friend group and dropped out. If I called out Joy on her bs and opened up to Tina about it, she would've stayed away and not go on that night.
I was the one who's there. To hear her rants and problems especially about this people. The one who always accompanied her wherever we'd go, with or without Joy. I saw everything. And I barely did anything. I feel so guilty. If I only I said and did something before, she would've been alive right now. We would've been living our lives and prepare to go to med school together. Because of her, I had a direction and purpose in life after college. As long as she's there, I was confident to proceed and explore what life has to offer and have the most fun out of it. And now I feel lost again. I don't know how to proceed anymore. I feel like utter shit.
She was literally the kindest and nicest soul I've ever met. She's one of the few people I feel so comfortable. She doesn't deserve all of the shit she's gone through, and she definitely doesn't deserve this kind of ending. I'll always hate myself for this and I'll carry on this guilt until I die.
I just hope that she would forgive me for all of this.

I am skeptical about weather conditions and how one plans around the same. Please help us with everything be it itinerary, hotel recoms, car rental recoms, driving in winter.
Also, how one should navigate if they come across snow storms, blizzards? How it affects next bookings etc if we are stuck somewhere?

For me,
- The occasional stray cat roaming around the neighborhoods. A 0.001% chance of seeing a stray dog. Also stray cats in the city. Animal control will pick them up if you call them.
- Occasionally, you will see people park at houses and walk inside, or vice versa, walk out of homes and get in their cars and leave.
- Once a week, trash compactor trucks will drive around picking up trash from homes, and people will deliver mail to mailboxes on occasion. Also, Amazon type delivery services will occasionally drop off packages on the door steps of homes. Alternatively, food delivery will deliver to homes.
- Some homes have a swimming pool in the backyard with NPC's in and/or around them. Occasionally you will see smoke coming from someone's backyard because an NPC is barbecuing.
- Taking LSD at the museum brings everything in the museum to live (like Night at the Museum).
- Proximity voice chat used in combination with an in-game movie theater that let's you play YouTube videos to the big screen. You can watch videos with your friends and talk about them. Seen something similar with the Oculus VR movie theater and in another game.
- If Cuba is a real thing, then modern day ocean piracy could play a large part.
- Being able to own pets in a player owned house. Player owned homes isnt widely discussed here. Full interior decoration from items you purchase from the various shops in the game would be cool. Especially shops in the mall or an in-game walmart knock off.
- Random events in a literal sense.. Such as you might see a random concert appear at the beach with a stage set up and barricades in place. Extra police are present. Or even simple random events like someone playing music at the pier and a few people watching. Maybe every few months a street fair will pop up. Roads get blocked off. Extra police are everywhere and helping direct traffic. All of these random events would happen occasionally and wouldnt be that frequent.
- Random ambient events that you don't expect, such as a traffic light is out of order so theres police directing traffic. The goal with unexpected ambient events that are extremely rare would be to make traveling around town not feel completely expected. Never know if a homeless person will come to you at a red light asking for money or people will road rage against you. Or once every month or so you might see a random building on fire with a bunch of fire trucks and firefighters everywhere, with police blocking off that area of street.
