Hello. I'm 32m, It’s been more than 1 year that I live in Tokyo (minami-azabu). I have visited some famous places i.e. parks / temples / shrines / viewpoints and that was quite boring experience (may be because I was alone). I don't go to bars, clubs etc. and eating / travelling alone is a hell. As a tech / games enthusiast I visit the Akihabara once in a month and for shopping I usually go to Ginza or Odaiba. I'm here for 2 more years and I find it hard to make friends or do conversation with people mainly due to language barrier.
Any suggestion to explore places for alone person and where to find some one for hangout / travel / coffee / chat etc.
(please don't suggest dating apps)

I recently got a new filter for my tank. It’s a bit stronger than the old one, but doesn’t seem to be too strong for the fish that I have. However, some of them seem quite stressed. It’s the typical swimming around semi-rapidly (not too bad thankfully) and swimming up and down the glass. Should I leave them be for awhile in hopes that they’ll get used to the filter or is there something else I should do? I’m hoping that some time to adjust will calm them down but I’m not sure if that’s the right course of action.

Just got back from our trip on Wonder of The Seas. It was truly a fantastic trip for our little family. I went into it with the expectation that it may not be perfect when it comes to the service and food and drinks, but RC blew us away. Everything was perfect. Food was on point, granted I knew I would need to salt to my liking, we were so surprised to find that it was fairly delish! Even the windjammer was pretty good. I only had one dish that was meh. The drinks we awesome! The bartenders were all great, and I don’t think there was one drink that I truly didn’t like. The servers were all pretty good too!
Our room was spotless every single day and our room attendant was extremely friendly and always willing to help when needed. My only bone to pick was that the fitted sheets didn’t stay (but it wasn’t something that bothered me enough to complain about).
The entertainment was amazing and we found ourselves going back to see inTENce twice cause it was so dang cool. We didn’t really see any of the others since we don’t really enjoy singing and Broadway like shows. The comedy was good too. There was always something to do which was great. I only wished that they showed the movies on the lido deck between the pools instead of the theater. But again, not bothersome enough to complain about.
The kids club was also great. This allowed my husband and I done much needed alone time, and gave our son some time to do what he wanted. They were fantastic about his food allergy and provided us with a private cel so they could contact us if there was an issue with him. All the staff was extremely attentive with the kids which was nice to see.
My only (biggish) issue was the spa. I broke two nails by the second day we were on the ship so I made an appointment to get them redone. At $200 bucks for gel nails, it was a complete rip off. The polish even ran over the quick of my nails so I had to fix them myself. The other was my massage. We paid for a couples Swedish (which should be nice smooth motions) I but what I got was “Olga” beating the crap out of me lol. I did request three times for her to take it easier and she obliged however it left me straight up sore afterwards lol.
We truly had a wonderful time, and on the last night we watched the sun set from our balcony and got a surprise visit from a pod of dolphins. I straight up had the whole “double rainbow guy,” excitement from it. Completely embarrassing to admit but that shit was magical! Lol
Also, to the couple that had the sign I posted on their door, you had us laughing every time we passed it. 🤣

Just found out that the movie theater company AMC offers sensory-friendly showings of select films at select dates. I want to recommend it to this sub, but only if people who've gone to one of those showings say it's good.
Is there anyone who's been able to go and if so, how was it?

I’ve been having reoccurring dreams since I was 18-19 (now 24) about everyone at my funeral, or a candid conversation between 2 people that knew me and every single time someone asks “what happened to him?” And someone always replies “he killed himself.” I’ve never tried it but every time I drive by a forest or bridge this really chilling feeling comes over me. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve planned out how I’ll do it. I really don’t want to but I’m afraid of my dreams becoming reality. Maybe one day I’ll get too drunk or something and just do it. I’m starting to get worried a little I can’t lie.

I live with my uncle who threatened to make me homeless. Always paid rent but he’s just tired of the situation I guess. So I found an ideal apartment and place I would like to live but have no money. So after work one night I drove to that apartment pretending i already lived there and my dog was waiting inside. After I felt good I headed back to where I stay now and imagined to the best of my ability that I was sleeping there and dozed off and for one of the first times I felt I was doing it correct. Wake up the next day to a text from my uncle saying he changed his mind he wants me out and is giving me a week with nothing to fall back on. I thought maybe it was just part of it coming true but honestly it made it super difficult to get back into the state I was practicing. Now I am not sure if I successfully did it that night or made it worse by possibly doing it wrong.

Anyway, Im 18m and recently i showed one of my friends (18m) a hobby i do that I've never shown anyone.
I have a collection of lego figures that represent a custom supehero universe (similar to marvel or D.C. except my own original storyline and characters). Ever since i was in elementary school I've been mixing and matching different pieces of figures to get unique looking combinations.
We sat in my room for what must have an hour or two. I fully explained all of the lore, storylines, and characters. He thought it was interesting (thank god) and asked genuine questions about the characters.
I even got deep with some of the more developed characters and explained their beliefs, interests, and even unique dynamics between the characters. I like to imagine that these characters are genuine people with entire lives.
At the end he said that it was cool but that it also might be a sign of autism. Is this something that sounds like a sign of autism?

So I guess I'm bracing for this post to be taken down but what do the rules mean when they say "this subreddit is coven only"? Wanted to wait until I finished the series to post this, but I couldn’t…just had to say Marsh is such an amazing character and I can’t be the only one who thinks so…right?
I love the juxtaposition of being both in a tragic position and still completely badass. I mean, this poor guy, he spends his life trying to keep his brother in line and raise him after their mother is killed, only to have Kelsier end up a thief and marry the woman Marsh loves, who then dies. Then Kelsier comes back and has this grand scheme to free all the Skaa, which is only something Marsh has spent his whole life trying to do with no luck. Finally, Kelsier becomes a religious figure in death and Marsh is left without a brother, without eyes, and without much credit for his own heroic acts. Sanderson never fails to mention how stern Marsh is, but how is that any surprise given his life?
At the same time, Marsh is a total badass. He’s not happy about having one of the “weakest” allomantic powers, but is still incredibly skilled at using it. And can we mention how hardcore you gave be to get complete eye tattoos to infiltrate the Ministry? That’s a level of commitment that most don’t have. Oh, and just casually dusting, what 10+ Inquisitors at once?
Obviously I was very upset when he fought Sazed but I still found myself liking even evil Marsh. And while I do hope for a redemption arc for him, the juxtaposition of Kelsier being raised to hero status following a life of mostly thinking of himself, to Marsh, self righteous and moral all his life, descending into villainy makes reading more interesting. Vin, Elend and Sazed are also realizing more and more what they are capable of in WoA but Marsh is on an opposite path.

Just finished reading Well of Ascension and immediately went onto Hero of Ages because I am hooked, but please no spoilers for that book (although I did read the prologue and can’t wait for the rest!)

I applied for a BofA Travel rewards credit card and got approved for $3000. I also applied for the BofA unlimited cash rewards card and got approved for $2000. The next day I asked for a credit increase of $1000 and got denied. Then I asked for a credit increase for $100 just to see what would happen and got denied again. The thing is- I’m traveling and I need another card with $3000 on it. Both of these cards are 0% APR for the first 18 months which is great because I will definitely be able to pay these back. So that’s why I want a third card. On my BofA app, I’m still preapproved for a few more cards…. And I’m leaving the country in 7 weeks. When should I reapply again because I can’t wait 90 days. Please help with any suggestions as to what to do. I also don’t want them to take credit from one card and move it to the new card if I get approved- so in this case should I apply with a different bank?

I think education is the key to have people follow and believe in proper moral standards. These cultural values are what every healthy society should be built upon and anything less than that is a form of barbarism.
Libertarianism has been pushed by the ruling groups for these reason. If no one can become an authority people are left to follow their own subjective standards. By having a mass of ignorant people, It's easy for the oligarchies in power to control the values of society through their control of the media.
Creation of organic communities is what needs to be done to resist the nihilistic influence of Libertarianism.

I have nightmares about my galaxy z flip 3 breaking ever since i got it. Just woke up from one and had so much relief after seeing it's fine. I think this is the 6th time in a month.
