The Gaurdians movies have always had banger sound tracks, and earth music is such a part of Quills story right from the first movie. Gunn came out and said the theme was 90's - 2000's music, but idk some of the music choices felt very weak or I'll fitting, compared to the previous two films.
Like they give us Faith No More (in the statue of liberty scene) but it's "we care a lot" not the far superior "Epic" or "Easy like Sunday Morning"?! I understand music rights cost money, and those songs are VERY famous, but for that particular scene, the appropriately named "Space Lord" by Monster Magnet would have been waaaay more iconic.
We didn't get a single Soundgarden song through the whole movie?! If not "Black Hole Sun" I at least expected Spoonman thrown in there somewhere. No Beck?! No Everclear?!
The two other scenes I really felt the music choices stood in a bad way were:
1) the hallway fight - cool song but just didn't meet the intensity of such an epic fight.
2) the intro - Honestly idk why this scene didn't work for me, it has all the right elements, the lyrics are fitting, it's an iconic song, maybe it was because there was no old school 'credits over the screen' during Rockets walk?
I think it would have been cool to throw in a nod to another filmaker who makes cool movie sound tracks, and overlay "Superbeast" by Rob Zombie onto Adam Warlock flying in to beat up Rocket. Would have been a great juxtaposition from the previous mood. ...did they even change the song there?
Anyone else feel the same. What songs would you switch out/add in??

General Notes:

• The level 4 bloodline tactic spawns a 30k hp vampire that will give you a small heal after attack, +1 mobility (stacking), and +20% ATK/INT to the summoner on death.
• Do pick up the 2x ST skills that are based on shatter, because shatter is relatively easy to stack in the later waves. Even the 2 range one can be used by melee with Werner 3c since it passively allows melee soldiers to always attack on range attacks.
• Aquatic heroes are very useful for Wave 15, to abuse the water movement on the map.
• Despite getting Lightbringer, I didn't actually find a lot of magic ranged skills that are usable in melee. Be warned if you do pick her, because you might get stuck with standard mage attacks or have to just use LB as a backup healer. I did end up picking Yulia just to give her an attack skill she could actually use in the earlier waves.

Wave 5 Boss:

• Kill slimes, hit boss with the stacks the slimes give you until you get 3 of each on the boss. Preferably bring holy units to otherwise stomp the demon slimes.

Wave 10 Boss:

• The archers and the golems are not to be underestimated, because all of the enemies will start with damage bonus and damage taken down stacks. The golems will pretty much ignore your tank, because they naturally have an Emerick aura. The archers will likely one-shot mages with their aoes because of all the damage boosts they have, so you have to properly CC or silence them.
• Additional friendly mooks will spawn as your units die. They're mostly used to sponge hits and occasionally have a useful skill.
• Don't be afraid to use the fence up top to your advantage, to help control the number of enemies you're having to deal with at once. Especially if you can stick a water movement debuff on most of the enemies to get them stuck on the fence.

Wave 15 Boss:

• Abuse the water as much as possible, to limit the number of aoes you take at once, because eventually units will start getting one-shotted when they get feared.
• Drop the fear inside the blue circles. It gives you a free AA when you do so.
• Ideally, if you can have a water unit get aggro from all the top units, you can abuse the water to kite by running up and down on the top left. Otherwise, better hope you have a strong enough holy unit to outright kill Leo Beck when you decide to go hit Theon, or you're in a world of pain.
• None of the enemies are immune to silence, so Soul Stealer Headdresses are king.
• Try not to waste a lot of time on the kids, you can abuse the kids for lots of Operation: Mourn stacks.

I broke my middle toe almost two years ago by running and crushing it against a wall. It bruised and swelled horribly for a few days, then went beck to normal except for the pain.
It hurt intermittently for a year, so I finally went to get it checked out. They said that a bit of my bone had come off and tore part of my ligament, and that the damage was too small (1mm) for them to be able to fix it, and that it would resolve on its own eventually. That was almost a year ago now, and it still hurts so I assume it hasn't healed. Now the pain is radiating to the rest of my foot, so I'm a bit concerned.
Why? Is this normal? Is there any way I can get it to heal faster, and is there really nothing they can do?
20F, 5'8 108 lbs no medical issues, drink rarely (once a month), don't smoke, no drugs except I guess caffeine

While it was indeed emotionally impactful that Alex was the one who warped Ellen and gave hepassed on borderline disorder, it was just too much, too disturbing past the point of sympathy and I found it offensive. The showrunner obviously does not know much about mental illness if they would treat it so lightly, or think these illnesses are things you can pick up from a quick chat one time with your dad's insane mistress if you otherwise had healthy familial relations. I know Dan was absent but to manifest in that specific way, they act like Alex was so skilled and magnetic in her manipulation that anyone would just go along what she said.
While the basic point was solid- Alex was so evil that her final revenge was to take his daughter away from Dan, in ways that wouldn't be apparent for years so his family never 'forgets' her- weren't they also trying to make Alex so sympathetic? This puts her well past the point Glenn Close ever was, just an animal who wanted to ruin a child's life for fun. That's more just plain evil and not based on anything real people would go through that they can relate to in any helpful way. It's using mental illness as a catch-all for villain motivations, then paying fake lip service to the big ideas.
I also didn't think it was realistic how Ellen just rolls with it and then becomes a cartoonish stalker later on. Most borderlines like Alex are also acting in these specific ways because they have sociopathy that prevents empathy. Others just suffer forever and push people away because they don't understand their feelings, so a more impactful ending would be Ellen not hurting anyone but unable to connect from the combination of trauma and suffering alone. A mentally resilient person can overcome some of these behaviors with therapy. I found this stupid swerve the show wants to spit out to be cruel, reductive nonsense. They made a lot of bluster about how modern they were, when their view of women and psychology was more dated than the 1987 movie just to be edgy.

Warning: I have only seen clips of Saints and Sinners and the Telltale game. This is just a natural discussion, not bashing either game, just pointing out something.
In most of the video games, they are not really based on the tv show or comics, but rather spin-offs in the universe. In discussions about a dream TWD game, many of them are just open-world sandboxes with no story.

This post is an overview of the blackmail tactics used to control most of the influential people and governments around the world. The world is run on blackmail, mind control, and shame.
There exist many collections of videotapes of 'high-up' people engaging in some of the worst, sickest things imaginable. Drugs, torture, pedophilia, and murder are common themes to these videos. These tapes are in the hands of many different people, groups, and especially intelligence agencies. 'Honey-trap' operations are constantly being run to gather compromising and incriminating evidence on people of importance. Child slaves will be used to compromise people on video. Global leaders are often covertly videotaped doing perverted things with sex slaves sent to them by intelligence agencies, the Illuminati, or other groups, and this is then leveraged. Rape and murder of a child (forced or not), one of the most repulsive things possible, is many times filmed to ensure future compliance.
"Back in 1966, Rothstein became the first police detective assigned to investigate the prostitution industry. Almost immediately he discovered an underground sexual blackmail operation that compromised politicians with child prostitutes. ‘Human Compromise’ is what he labelled the honey-trap process. Rothstein and his colleagues found that approximately 70 percent of top US Government leaders were compromised in this way. Rothstein said, the CIA conducted the human compromise operation, while the FBI was tasked with covering up any leaks."

Intelligence agencies all over the world utilize blackmail, routinely employing and exploiting it as much as possible. It is an extremely important 'tool' of theirs. Operations are done to gather the incriminating evidence.

An individual who must remain nameless for a variety of reasons - but whose name is known to this writer - underwent an experience that is both horrific and chilling. When properly administered 'it causes absolute obedience' without this being 'observable by others'. Importantly, the target will not recall any of the events that occurred during the period they were under the spell of the drug. Tatum states that X was invited to spend a relaxing weekend at a luxury hotel as a guest of his friend George Bush. His host for the weekend was a trusted 18-year veteran field-intelligence officer. The evening started with cocktails and was followed by a fine meal. ''Nothing but the best' were the orders.' Following the meal, he was ushered into the suite of a 'blonde bombshell' supplied by the CIA. Mr. X had already ingested a dose of Burundanga during pre-dinner cocktails. X was gallant with the blonde as they both moved into the bedroom where video cameras were already set up in one corner. In short order, the blonde had X standing naked in front of her and began to indulge his desires. All the while, the video cameras whirred. Slowly stripping off, the 'blonde' revealed his manhood in all its glory. Mr. X was instructed to reciprocate the favour and perform fellatio. He obliged, his intimate activities recorded at 24 frames a second on videotape. Tatum says the male prostitute was hired from a bar in New York and killed that same evening. Two weeks later, X - wholly unaware of the events of that evening - was visited in Nicaragua. He was presented with a copy of the video footage, along with instructions. Tatum says that X can never allow that video to be seen: 'Not only does it reveal his homosexuality, but it also reveals his bestiality and satanic worship rituals.' As frame after frame flicked by, X reportedly wept, forced to watch himself kill his homosexual 'lover' and then engage in the most grisly cannabalistic ritual imaginable. Neutralised, Mr. X became a leading member of the Nicaraguan government a few short weeks later."

Y'all I've had a super night tonight. I have found out some things that I CANNOT wait to happen (not at liberty to discuss at this time) As of right now Zye will never battle Beck's again, and V seems super annoyed with his roommate being on TT 24/7 I bet she blocks him off her lives when he's at work. My husband is an extrovert and he loves being around me 24/7, even when he doesn't, if that makes sense. Like even when he's annoyed or tired or touched out, he still wants me there. We WFH side by side every day. But today I said I was working late, which is usually a fight, because he doesn't want to do the evening stuff alone, even when I'm on a roll with whatever I'm working on. I work in a creative field that is unpaid, until I sell my project, so there is no quantative pay off of my work for long stretches of time. I also have a passive income that's about a quarter of his pay, but I don't have to do anything to get it, and thus it's not seen as "real income."
I think that attributes to how I'm also expected to take the role of SAHM at the same time. Why I'm always supposed to drop everything and do whatever it is he wants us to do. Why he can come in and talk to me when I'm working and talk nonstop. Why, now that summer is here, I'm expected to run down in the middle of the day and make the kids a meal instead of him. Why, at the end of his 9-5 work day, he can be tapped out but not me.
I think he's a wonderful partner and hands on dad. He shows up in a lot of ways. But I have been on for what feels like weeks. I haven't done anything that I want to do that can't be done on my phone in the evening after he falls asleep for the night. He picks our weekend activities and I just roll with it because I don't want my idea to be met with protests. Chilling out is never an option, either. And usually, we have a good time. But it's all invisible labor, where I feel more like an extension of him than my own person. I day dream about living alone. I day dream about being a single parent because he's so high strung but STILL wants me around every minute of the day. I day dream about moving to another country where I can work while my kids are in school, uninterrupted, and in the evenings, we meander down the road to have a bite at our favorite cafe, and pass out in a doggy pile after bedtime watching movies I want to watch. Reading books I want to read.
So today, I slept in, and so did he, but he had a meeting that he had to be at, so he didn't have time to run our youngest to daycare. He stayed downstairs with them during his meeting and was pissed I didn't wake up and take care of them while he worked. I slept because I am absolutely beyond exhausted being at everyones beck and call without any quiet, any time to myself, at any part of the day, for weeks and months on end. Just this last week, I entertained his MIL to the point I was falling asleep on the couch during a nonstop talking session, which he was mad about even though he was sitting right next to us not speaking, just playing Zelda.
But right now he's bathing the kids and he's gonna put them down for the night too because I'm in my room with the door locked. I'm tired. I want to play video games. I want to read a book. I want to have a moment without fear of someone inserting themselves into whatever I'm doing. I know I sound spoiled. But god fricken damn. I need my stupid silly little internet time.

Challenge: The chefs are awoken by Samba dancers and music. When the chefs walk down to the restaurant, Gordon tests their ability to cook Brazilian cuisine. The Brazilian Cuisine Tag Challenge involves a chef running towards a bag full of soccer balls with names of popular ingredients in Brazilian cuisine spray painted on. They then tag one of their teammates and they must do the same. Lauryn sat out due to the Blue Team being outnumbered 7 to 8.
First Pairing: Candace and Glenn.
Glenn scores. 1-0 Blue.
Second Pairing: Trish and Don.
Don scores. 2-0 Blue.
Second Pairing: Martina and Bryce.
Martina scores. 2-1 Blue.
Second Pairing: Bella and James.
James scores. Blue Team wins 3-1.
Reward: The Blue Team are brought on a limo tour of Hollywood.
Punishment: The Red Team is forced to carry a Yellowfin Tuna and to prep both kitchens for Brazilian night.
Before service: During prep, Akira knicks her finger on a potato peeler, but gets stitched up and returns for service.
During service: The Red Team finds their rhythm, putting out appetizer after appetizer and make it to entrées 18 minutes into service. The Blue Team are lead by an unlikely power source, in Giancarlo, who finally found his voice and puts out 3 immaculate dishes in a row. Unfortunately, the teamwork was lacking, and it took 32 minutes to make it to entrées. In the Red Kitchen, Akira redeems herself and doesn't make a single mistake for the rest of the service, and the Red Team's teamwork improves tenfold, as they keep putting out fantastic dishes. The only member who had a below average service was Maddie, who had a couple miscommunications. The Red Team makes it to desserts after a 30-minute entrée session. The Blue Team flounders, as Dylan gets kicked out for talking back to Chef Ramsay. Giancarlo continues to be vocal, and carries the Blue Team until their service is shut down after 4 consecutive bad dishes. The Blue Team are declared losers for the first service this season. For his heroics, he is called up to announce nominees. He nominates Dylan, for talking back to Chef Ramsay, and Bryce for tanking the service on Meat. Gordon calls up Dylan, but sends him back in line. He then sends Bryce back in line. Out of nowhere, he eliminates Don without nomination, for having 3 services, and all of them bad. Don was in shock, but was glad for the experience. Gordon then compliments the ladies on an incredible service.
Gordon's comment: "Don was a nice guy, but you know where they finish. See ya, Don."

I previously beat AM and SS, then moved on to CF. I really liked seeing how things played out if you chose a darker path. Since I beat AM already, seeing Sylvain and Dedue die and Dimitri’s reaction gutted me. Tears were shed. I kept recruitment to a minimum, since I expected the students from other houses would feel out of character in CF and it wold be more impactful to kill them off (it was).
-I did see on YouTube the dialogue of Felix vs. all his old friends and it was so heartbreaking. It did feel pretty OOC, though, so I’m glad I didn’t bring Felix along for the bloodbath. Heck, I saw some dialogue from a deleted AM scenario where Felix wants revenge against Dimitri for Rodrigues death and joins the empire. And he was SO angry and grief stricken. But he showed no willingness to cut down Ingrid or especially Sylvain. His betrayal is more in character there.
-It was heartbreaking in its own way when I killed him in Arianrhod in CF. Rodrigues reaction was…pretty underwhelming, honestly. Nothing like the anguish Seteth showed when I killed Flayn. Claude sounded more broken up when I killed Hilda. I was at first disappointed that Ingrid and Felix‘s deaths had such little fanfare. They deserved so much better, right? But that’s the point. They died like true knights. Ingrid even said she’s just like Glenn now. In her last moments she realized how utterly unfulfilling it was to die with “honor”.
-And I think Felix was right about his dad. Rodrigue didn’t love him the way a normal father does. It’s clear that Felix is so screwed up in large part because his dad only taught him how to kill and die for a king and not much else. I think the person he truly had a problem with was not really even the boar, but his dad. I compared the scene where Rodrigue gives his life for Dimitri and compared it to his own sons death in CF and the difference is so stark. Felix mourns Dimitris death very hard, no matter the route. But he felt like nobody would mourn that way for him. Not even his own dad. It makes me love the Sylvain/Felix ending in AM even more, because Felix actually has someone that would mourn his death so heavily that he’d literally die without him.
-Annette wanting to avenge her dad was so sad. She came running at me after I took him out but she was so weak and died so easily. But again, I saw in that deleted scenario where Annette joins the colonized Faerghus territories in the empire. And Gilbert kills her even though she was just trying to protect her mom!! He is as bad a dad as Rodrigue. I’m sad that route got cut because it really emphasized how screwed up the Faerghus knighthood ideology is. Poor Annette.
-Poor Dimitri. What an awful way to go out. Just like his dad. And Edelgard felt…something. But she didn’t cry. Damn, that girl is cold. It is what makes her so fascinating, though.
-I had Shamir kill Catherine. Awesome dialogue. Especially because it was Catherine who set the town ablaze. It might be a bit extreme for Shamir to side with the empire, but it’s not as unbelievable as most of the others. I also loved how you could pick up Thunderbrand. I was joking in my mind how we should take it from her body, then the game actually let me!! Damn. I didn’t like Catherine before for what she did to Lonato, but I felt very sorry for her. She was just brainwashed, thinking she was serving the goddess.
-I also felt awful for killing Cyril. Yes he was annoying, but it made sense with his backstory and I felt no animosity toward him. And Rhea had no reaction to his or Catherine’s death. Not surprising.
Overall, I felt like complete shit beating that route, so mission accomplished, game. My only complaint. I think that the Black Eagle students felt OOC in that route. It didn’t feel like they really had the conviction to be with Edelgard, nor was their friendship with her or even the professor strong enough to justify their presence and their deeds.
-Bernadetta is the most anxious person ever, she has no motivation to join any war. In AM, I figured her father forced her into the army or she joined just to escape his abuse. I don’t buy her being there because she felt anything for Edelgard or her beliefs. Maybe fear of Edelgard, but that’s it.
-Linhardt is the laziest and most pacifist mofo and has no compelling reason to voluntarily help El, either. I thought his presence made sense in AM, since I imagined he was forced into the war by his family and had no choice. But I don’t see him having much to do with Edelgard personally post timeskip.
-Caspar is so innocent all about justice and fighting evil. He genuinely felt bad for the victims of his father. I can see him participating in the war because he feels he has no choice due to pressure from his family. But not traipsing around with Edelgard going, “Woo hoo, let’s crush the Kingdom!” Just…no. He would feel very conflicted fighting with the Empire.
-Sure, Dorothea hates the class and Crest system. But not enough to kill her old schoolmates over it. She hates the violence too much. And unlike the others, she’s a commoner so she has no noble family pressuring her to fight in the war. She’s only there because Professor, which is so OOC for her.
-Ferdinand lost everything because of Edelgard. He also doesnt share her ideals about nobility being unnecessary. He even had some monastery dialogue pondering if he should have chosen to go against the empire.
-Petra is a literal hostage. That’s what made it so tragic when I fought her in AM. While she was the only one who I think had compelling reason to fight for the Empire, I don’t buy her CF characterization.
Overall, I found these characters more compelling in AM, where they died tragic senseless deaths in a war they had nothing to gain from. The Black Eagles were meant to be tragic innocent victims of Edelgards war and they work way better as recruits in other routes than in their own. So the story of CF didn’t feel “canon”, in a way because none of them would want to associate with Edelgard after she started the war. IMO, Edelgard is great but she makes a much better antagonist than protagonist.
