An emerging dark horse in the entertainment world
“This time, no matter what happens, I will definitely survive.”
Dex, who was discharged through voluntary voting in 'Blood Game 1', is emerging as a dark horse in the entertainment world by playing an active role in 'Blood Game 2'. Dex in 'Game of Blood 2' has a completely different atmosphere from season 1, from the sturdy physique of a UDT native, excellent adaptability, and strong appearance to a crisis.
It was the 'Fake Man 2' that Dex started to make his name known to the public. Dex, who appeared as a special forces instructor at the time, left a deep impression on viewers with sincere advice for trainees, unlike his cold appearance. After that, he appeared in Netflix's 'Solo Hell 2' and began to build a fan base in earnest.
At that time, Dex appeared as a 'Catfish man' who joined from the middle of the program and shook women's hearts with his chic but not excessive kindness. In particular, the scene where the female performer cuts the steak so that it is easy to eat and casually says, “Eat it,” is considered a famous scene that has been talked about so far. Accordingly, there were many opinions that 'Solo Hell 2' was more boring than Season 1 at the beginning of the airing, but according to Good Data Corporation, topicality rose for 4 consecutive weeks after Dex joined in the middle, and Dex ranked first in topicality in the OTT TV category. and realized its popularity.

Other activities continue in 'Blood Game 2', where betrayal, lies, and conspiracies are rampant. In fact, 'Blood Game 2' is the second challenge for Dex. At the time of Season 1, he advanced to the semi-finals, but “I couldn’t help at all in today’s game. I don’t know why someone like me has to go to the finals,” he said, deciding to voluntarily leave. Regarding this, at the press conference for season 2, Dex said, "It was the best choice at the time, but looking back, it was a stupid choice."
In fact, Dex, who was selected as a member of the wild team in the first episode, showed excellent adaptability, such as skillfully lighting a fire in an empty field and catching live chickens with his bare hands. Later, in the 4th episode, on the day the wild team raided the mansion, he had a physical fight with basketball player Ha Seung-jin. According to Good Data Corporation at the time, Dex proved his influence by ranking first in the topic ranking of non-drama performers.
From 'Solo Hell 2' to 'Blood Game 2', it is only natural that people in the entertainment industry will pay attention to Dex, who is becoming a hot topic in every program he appears in. He is already in charge of the MC for the web entertainment 'Dex's Fridge Interview' of Market Curly's YouTube channel 'Day 17', JTBC's 'Smiling Boss', which will be broadcasted for the first time this month, MBC's 'Adventure by Accident 2' scheduled to air in the second half of this year, and Netflix The appearance of 'Zombie Bus' was confirmed.
Dex, is emerging as a blue chip in the entertainment industry, causing over-immersion in each program he appears in, and like the aspirations he showed in 'Game of Blood 2', which is currently ahead of semi-finals.

FYI, this is a story COLLECTION. Lots of standalones technically. So, you can basically start to read at any chapter, no pre-read of the other chapters needed technically (other than maybe getting better descriptions of characters than: Adam Vir=human, Krill=antlike alien, Sunny=tall alien, Conn=telepathic alien). The numbers are (mostly) only for organization of posts and continuity.

Okay this is weird. So, this story is a long time ago, like 6-7 years ago, but its also in the future for us…
German has a specific tense for this, but English has no tense for this…
So, I guess welcome to the close past of the far far future?

Here is the link to the master-post.
The bus bumped and jostled over the lumpy dirt road.
Inside bodies swayed and juggled back and forth, ramming into walls and steadying themselves against the antiquated seats before them. The bus was old, older than a large portion of dirt, old enough to have rubber tires, shitty suspension, and foam back seats, nothing like the sleek magno buses they used these days.
Clearly their program wasn't important enough to acquire a real transport vehicle.
Their ride from the airport had been nerve wracking to say the least, and only some of it had come from the imminent threat that the bus would disintegrate into its component parts, most of the rest of it had come from the slow building of nervous energy felt by all the young teens as they waited to begin their first day at training.
There were forty of them in all, though less than half of that was predicted to make it through the training and actually become pilots from the program at Trans Space Combative Aviation Academy. Of course, the Academy didn't have its own location, as new as it was and untested as it was, the burgeoning UNSC wasn't likely to spend a ton of funds on a group of untested children. So, they had been shipped onto Del Rio, Texas where the air force flight academy was located, and had been allocated space, some instructors, and a few classrooms to get started.
Adam had found the other recruits from the program nervously waiting outside with their duffel bags and clothing. None of them were over the age of fifteen, and they consisted almost equally of boys and girls.
Adam was displeased to find himself the shortest among the boys, and about mid pack among the girls, a good portion of them probably weighing a good ten pounds more than he did, though none of them were out of shape.
He tried to ignore that, doing his best to make friends with the other nervous recruits, determined not to be the loser this time. Just as long as he didn't show his weirdness to them straight off, maybe he was going to be fine.
It seemed to be working, at least until the bus pulled up, and the group of them stared on with shock and disappointment at the monstrosity before them.
A centuries old bus.
They sort of hoped it wasn't for them, but the ACU clad, army man stepping out of the door and onto the pavement dashed their hopes.
And soon they were on their way, jostling down the highway, eventually cutting through manned security gates, patrolled by armed guards, and finally onto the backroad that was taken around the airfield. Adam had his face pressed up against the window, watching as a set of jets took off, leaving trails of white behind them in the great blue sky above.
The implant in his arm buzzed, and he looked down to see a text from his mother asking if they had landed yet.
He had to apologize for forgetting and assured her that he was, indeed, landed and on his way.
The further they went onto the base, the more people they could see, large muscular men and women running in formation, wearing the same light grey T-shirts tucked into blue canvas shorts.
Voices roared past them as the men chanted in time with their cadence.
Low lying buildings pulled up on the horizon in front of them, crouched together in stumpy lines. Yelled commands wafted through open windows as more recruits rolled past kicking up dirt clouds as they went.
Adam grew nervous upon seeing them, big and adult.
He glanced down at himself and his baggy T-shirt, and jeans held up only by a belt, the cuffs folded up over his shoes.
They belonged to his brothers, but were still too big for him.
The bus rolled to a stop just then, jostling him forward so his face nearly rammed into the seat in front of him. A dust cloud billowed up around them obscuring his vision for a moment. At the front of the bus, the driver reached out and cranked the handle to the door, manually forcing it open.
"Wow, this thing is a real piece of shit."
Someone muttered, while boots thudded onto the stairs, and the entire bus went quiet as a man stepped onto the front of the bus. He was tall, and serious faced with thick eyebrows and what appeared to be a shaved head, though it was mostly covered by a wide brimmed dumbass hat in dark, clashing seriously with his patterned ACUs.
They all waited on the edge of their seats.
Adam shrunk down into his expecting to get yelled at.
That's what all the old army movies told him was going to happen.
Instead, however, the man smiled.
Adam didn't buy it for one second.
"Welcome recruits to the first TSCA Academy class of 4013. I am Master Sergeant Kimball, and I will be one of your MTI (military training instructor) during this program. If you need to address me at any time during this course, you will call me Sir or Master Sergeant Kimball. Now I understand that you may all be tired from your flight. We have recruits here from all across the world coming in right now, so hopefully, today will be easy and relaxing."
Adam eyed the group around him, watching as the others began to relax.
Maybe this wasn't going to be so bad after all?
Perhaps because they were kids, they had been given some leeway during the training process?
I mean, were they really going to yell at a group of kids barely out of their teenage years?
Surely, they wouldn’t…
"Alright everyone, Unload!"
There was a collective shuffling around the bus as the group of them took to their feet and began slowly shuffling towards the exit. Adam pulled his bag over his back, nearly tipping over backwards as the weight pulled his small frame off balance. Someone put a hand on his shoulder,
”Whoa."
He glanced over and thanked the girl who had helped him, hurrying off the bus and down the stairs into the hot as hell Texas heat.
Stepping off the bus he found Master Sergeant Kimball standing next to two other MTIs, who were smiling at them, though their smiles seemed more wolfish than reassuring.
My what big teeth you have, he thought idly to himself, stepping to the side so the others could walk through.
One boy came trudging down the steps last, lugging an absolutely massive suitcase as a few of the others flopped to the ground, resting against their bags, eyes closed, basking like lizards in the sun.
Sgt. Kimball stepped forward towards the last young man.
"Here let me help you."
The boy seemed rather grateful, handing his bag down to the MTI, taking some weight off his shoulders.
That was until Sgt. Kimball grabbed the zipper, opened the bag and dumped the entire contents of the suitcase into the dirt. He then got right up in the boy's face and shouted.
"NOW WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK DO YOU NEED A BAG LIKE THAT FOR!? CHRIST SON, I COULD USE IT TO SMUGGLE YOUR CORPSE OUT WHEN I'M DONE WITH YOU."
The entire group jolted with surprise, all of them bolting upwards.
Even Adam was startled, and he had been expecting it. The poor kid was scrambling around in the dirt trying to collect his things,
"GET YOUR ASS OFF THE GROUND YOU SORRY PIECE OF SHIT."
The two other MTIs bore down on them, their charming smiles revealed for what they really were.
Wolf in sheep's clothing, snarling ravening beasts.
More bags were dumped on the ground, turned over, emptied until the contents mingled with the dust on the ground. The female MTI leaped over, ripping Adam's bag off the ground and tossing its contents into the dust. She reached down, picked up a book and chucked it at him, hitting him in the chest as he stumbled back.
"YOU THINK YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TIME FOR READING!?”
She moved on to the next student.
One of the recruits had burst into tears, and the MTI's descended like vultures. One of them grabbed a water bottle from the ground and shoved it at the crying student.
"BETTER GET STARTED ON CRYING ME A RIVER!"
Adam was scrambling to pick up his stuff and shove it back in his bag.
"GET ON YOUR FEET!"
He bolted upright to find Sgt. Kimball in his face, or more looking down on him. His face was red and as he screamed, little droplets of spit flew from his tongue. He gave Adam one long look over.
"GOOD LORD BOY, I'VE TAKEN SHITS MORE SUBSTANTIAL THAN YOU!"
"GO ON CLEAN UP THIS SHIT, IT'S FILTHY! WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN DOING!? THEN GET YOUR ASSES DOWN TO INTAKE."
He scrambled to put his things in his bag, the MTI's shouting at him the entire time. He nearly tripped over himself multiple times, falling flat on his face in the dirt much to the amusement of the MTIs.
"LEAVE YOUR SHIT HERE!"
He tripped and wobbled, running after the others as they ran towards the building that had been pointed out to them by the screaming MTIs. A few of the other recruits were crying, but Adam, well he had sort of expected it, and honestly, he would have been disappointed if they hadn't. In fact, he found himself grinning from ear to ear as he walked into the equipment room behind a line of other recruits.
The equipment officer turned around from his desk to glare at them. He was a heavy-set man in his late forties with biceps as big around as tree trunks.
He looked them over with a frown before jabbing his finger at Adam.
"You there, smiley. Small or extra small?”
He blushed,
"Errr... Extra... Small?”
"At least he's honest."
The man grouted, turning around to rifle through his equipment, coming back with two pairs of everything in stock. He stacked it on the counter in front of him.
"Two PT uniforms, Two ACUs, two shirts, sweatpants, jacket, gloves, hat, and…"
He pulled up a set of tan combat boots then glanced him up and down.
"What is your shoe size?"
"Er..."
More blushing,
"Six."
The man grunted, ducked back behind the counter,
"We only carry eight plus in men’s, but a seven in women's should work."
He tried not to wilt at the reminder of how small he was.
The man turned away again and motioned him off. He clambered to pick up everything he needed and wobbled away, juggling the boots the pants and the jacket with some difficulty, dropping a glove on the floor and nearly dropping everything else when he went to pick it up.
Walking outside he was met by another MTI, who yelled at him to get his ass to the barracks to change and put all his shit away. He hurried to do as he was told, running and nearly dropping everything again as he made his way through the doors into a large room, lined along either side with beds, a single trunk at the base.
He ran to one of the beds at the far end, opened the crate and placed his things inside, struggling to pull on one of the PT uniforms as the others ran into the room to do the same, throwing their things in the lockers at the base of the beds, as the MTIs continued to scream at them.
It was only as he was running out of the room that he noticed the horrible terrible thing.
Oh no…
Please no…
The extra small pants...
They…
They were too big.
He tried looking for a drawstring to make them tighter, but they were canvas with an elastic waist, and they did not go any tighter. He turned in his spot, trying to figure out what to do, but as soon as he slowed down, another MTI was screaming at him to get back onto the field and line up.
So, he chickened out, holding onto his pants for dear life, as he raced back to the training ground.
Upon making it there he helped the other students line up into evenly spaced rows, thinking that the MTIs might be impressed with them if they were to do that.
They did their best to stand like they were supposed to, though all of the instruction they had ever gotten was from old war movies, and they were all doing it horribly wrong, a fact for which the MTIs noticed and yelled at them for with great glee as soon as they noticed. Of course, they were eventually whipped into shape, standing in line in straight rows, heels together hands at sides, shoulders back.
He could feel his pants slipping, though he was too embarrassed to say anything.
Sgt Kimball stepped out in front of them, hands behind his back.
"What did I say!? Didn't I say we were going to have a fun relaxing day!? Are you having fun!?"
He was right in one of the recruits face, now bellowing almost at the top of his lungs. He moved onto the next student.
"Aren’t you relaxed!?”
Adam didn't think the kid looked particularly relaxed. In fact, he looked so tense, that if he squeezed any harder his spine was going to go shooting out of his ass.
"Well!?”
There was silence on the grounds.
"WELL!?”
Adam scrambled his brain not entirely sure what to do before squeaking out.
"Yes sir."
The MTI leaned in.
"Why don't you try and communicate in normal ranges of human hearing, son. I am not a bat!"
He looked back up at the rest of the group.
"WELL!?"
"YES SIR."
"That's better."
He turned to stalk away from Adam, pacing up and down the line.
"I will be straight with you when I say that today IS going to be fun and relaxing compared to what you will be going through in the next few years. If you manage to make it into this program, I promise you we will destroy your social life, you will have time for nothing other than this program and sleeping, if I decide to allow you to sleep, that is."
Adam was grinning.
Unfortunately, that caught the Sgt's eye.
"THE FUCK ARE YOU SMILING AT!?”
He waited.
Adam just stood there.
"ANSWER THE QUESTION GODDAMMIT!"
"Yes sir, sorry sir! I thought it was a rhetorical question."
"HEAVENS ABOVE HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL. I SAID ANSWER THE QUESTION!"
His mouth opened then closed,
"Er..."
"THE HELL KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT!"
"Um."
"Sweet Jehova did you come out this stupid or is it a family tradition, a side hobby?"
"I'm sorry sir, I forgot the question."
He lowered his head with an exaggerated sigh rubbing his temples,
"Forgot the question. FORGOT THE QUESTION!? I'VE MET GOLDFISH WITH BETTER MEMORIES THAN YOU! I SAID WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SMILING!?"
He blushed,
"Oh... Um."
"HURRY UP!!!”
"BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE A SOCIAL LIFE FOR YOU TO RUIN, SIR."
That seemed to take the man back, and he simply sat there, staring at Adam with a bemused expression.
*"If you were any more pathetic, smiley, I might just cry for you. Honest to god, if you get any more pathetic, I will cry real tears for your shame." *
He turned away.
"Now everyone get on the ground and give me FIFTY."
At least everyone seemed to know what that meant, though pathetically enough his arms were wobbling at twenty.
"JUMPING JUPITER RECRUIT, I DIDN'T EXPECT YOU TO MAKE ME CRY IN THE FIRST HALF HOUR. MY COUSIN COULD DO MORE PUSH-UPS THAN YOU AND HE'S GOT NO ARMS!"
The Sergeant seemed to have a lot of disabled relatives.
A blind granny, an armless cousin, a nephew with a pole up his ass from a tragic fishing accident.
By the time they were done, Adam was quite nearly ready to throw up.
"ALRIGHT FIFTY BURPIES GO,GO GO."
Oh no, anything but that!
He paused, but was almost immediately screamed at to get his ass in gear. He knew what was coming before it happened, but he couldn't stop it.
So he accepted his fate…
So long self worth!
As he jumped down into his first plank and then back up, he could feel the waist on his pants slipping, at first just a little, but then, as his feet left the ground there, they went right down around his ankles.
At first, he thought he was at least lucky to be in the back row, but then scrambling to pick his pants back up, he realized none of that was going to matter.
Sgt. Kimball was staring at him, cheek twitching.
He himself was blushing excessively.
He was quiet for a very long time before.
"CONTROL YOURSELF RECRUIT, THE LAST THING I NEED TO SEE IS YOUR CHICKEN LEG FLAT ASS KIDDIE JUNK ON MY TRAINING FIELD. Fuck, as small as you are I'll probably be indited for CP. Now go get some new fucking pants before you blind us all for a second time. And, since it seems you've never seen leg day, I want you to cluck like a chicken all the way there. Let everyone know the pantsless chicken boy is coming!”
He did as he was told, rose red the entire time and beat red on his way back, seeing as, they had given him the smallest size available in mens, so instead he had been given a pair of woman's shorts, which, due to the cut, tended to ride up in very uncomfortable places of his anatomy.
It was a very good thing he was used to embarrassment.
Or this was going to be a very long couple of years…
Hell even with being used to embarrassment this would probably be some interesting years..
[…]
Commander Adam Vir blinked and put a hand to his head, boots throwing up little puffs of dust in the Texas heat.
"You ok Commander?"
He sniffed at the air and took in a deep breath, hands on hips.
"Ah, the memories!"
”What are you remembering Sir?”
”Good times… good times…”
And with these words he stepped out of the hovercar, mumbling to himself.
”I wonder what’s up with Sgt. Kimball, is he still training new recruits? Maybe I’ll see him again…”

Thanks for reading! As you saw in the title, this is a cross posted story written by starrfallknightrise and I'll just upload some of it here for you guys, if you are interested and want to read ahead, the original story-collection can be found on tumblr or wattpad to read for free. (link above this text under "OC:..." ) It is the Empyrean Iris story collection by starfallknightrise. Also, if you want to know more about the story collection i made an intro post about it, so feel free to check that out to see what other great characters to look forward to! (Link also above this text). I have no affiliations to the author; just thought I’d share some of the great stories you might enjoy a lot!
Obviously, I have Charlie’s permission to post this and for the people already knowing the stories, or starting to read them: If you follow the link and check out the story you will see some differences. I made some small (non-artistic) changes, mainly correcting writing mistakes, pronoun correction and some small additional info here and there of things which were not thought of/forgotten or even were added/changed in later stories (like the “USS->UNSC” prefix of Stabby, Chalar=/->Sunny etc). As well as some "biggemajor" changes in descriptions and info’s for the same stringency/continuity reason. That can be explained by the story collection being, well a story collection at the start with many standalone-stories just starring the same people, but later on it gets more to a stringent storyline with backstories and throwbacks. (For example Adam Vir has some HEAVY scars over his body, following his bones, which were not really talked about up till half the collection, where it says it covers his whole body and you find out via backflash that he had them the whole time and how he got them, they just weren't mentioned before. However, I would think a doctor would at least see these scars before that, especially since he gets analyzed, treated and goes shirtless/in T-shirts in some stories). So TLDR: Writing and some descriptions are slightly changed, with full OK from the author, since he himself did not bother to correct these things before.

Stock futures rise as Wall Street eyes May jobs report, traders cheer debt ceiling bill passing: Live updates

Stock futures rose as traders looked ahead to Friday’s May jobs report and cheered lawmakers passing a debt ceiling bill that averts a U.S. default.
Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 157 points, or 0.5%, while S&P 500 futures added 0.5%. Nasdaq-100 futures rose 0.5%.
Lululemon shares popped 14% in the premarket on strong results and a guidance boost, while MongoDB surged 23% after hours on a blowout forecast.
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones expect that growth eased in May over the previous month, with 190,000 jobs added versus the 253,000 gained in April. That would mark the lowest monthly gain since December 2020.
Investors will look through the report for clues on the Federal Reserve’s futures policy moves.
Easing concerns around the U.S. debt ceiling also helped sentiment. The Senate passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling late Thursday night, sending the bill to President Joe Biden’s desk. That comes after the House passed the Fiscal Responsibility Act on Wednesday, just days before the June 5 deadline set by U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
Fear that the U.S. may default on its obligations if lawmakers failed to reach an agreement rattled some investors earlier in the week.
“I do think markets were pretty savvy this time: They kind of priced in some sort of resolution, but because we’re taking a tail risk off the table, we’re getting a bit of relief here,” said Mona Mahajan, senior investment strategist at Edward Jones.
Investors may also be finding some solace in the likelihood of very limited economic impact from the recent debt ceiling fiasco and a cap on spending that appears unlikely to weigh on economic growth in a “meaningful way,” she added.
Stocks kicked off the new trading month on a positive note Thursday. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite gained 0.99% and 1.28%, respectively, to settle at their highest levels since August. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 153.3 points, or 0.47%.
As the week draws to a close, both the S&P and Nasdaq are on track to finish with modest gains of 0.37% and 0.97%. The Dow sits 0.1% lower for the week as of Thursday’s close.

2023.06.02 12:22 tony787720 Best Marijuana for Severe T2N?

Hi. I was on Vyvanse for a while and also on Effexor for my Major Depression that I got from my T2. Long story short, I met this chick online and we proceeded to have a fling but it was either the Vyvanse or the Effexor that was making me completely useless in bed (gun wont shoot or even point, get it?). So finding that out, I quit taking both cold-turkey. On the plus side, I got my um, gun back and it shoots just fine again!
But its been almost a month now since I left both meds (havent told anyone either, just keep lying to my docs for now), and Im still hesitant to come back to them because even though the fling is over and Im not looking for anything at all again w anyone rn, Im still not too happy about the sexual side effects (aka: disasters) that I 100% get with these. Also, Effexor has a side effect that makes you irritable, and the last thing I need is to be exploding at my parents again. Theyre both very old, and do not need that in their Senior Citizen lives.
I could discuss all this with my shrink but he would just dismiss this as me trying to look for ways to shun help from doctors so I could only focus on negativity and being a victim of a condition (my fam knows him for years- so have I).
BUT, I still think I need help with my T2N, so Im wondering if theres any medical marijuana that could help me. I have a still active license and theres a very trusting, serious-minded dispensary (from past experience) thats 10 mins away from me. Maybe weed could help me with my severe T2 AND my depression without any of the terrible side effects of pills? Money’s no issue here. Im not a weed “junkie” that goes to that dispensary all the time either. In fact, the last time I had any weed at all was more than a year ago one night and it wasnt that much. Before that, it was like half a year before that night when I had like three or four puffs from someone elses hit in a social setting (both times it was in social settings w other people- i dont like smoking alone if and when I rarely RARELY ever do). And would it be better to smoke it (once/twice a day)? Or ingest it?
*Note: I have a small year-and-a half little shichon that was meant as a retirement accessory dog for my mom but pretty much adopted me and literally goes with me stuck to me wherever I go (velcro dog). Just in case, can little-sized dogs get negatively affected if they happen to unintentionally inhale weed smoke (I wont be blowing it in her direction of course, but accidents can happen).
Thoughts? I could check out any suggestions starting today (energy permitting).
Thanks!

2023.06.02 12:01 ferretsinsweaters Feeling beaten down and could use some supportive advice and kind messages

Over the last few months I quit my job and moved in with a friend cross country who confessed they’d had feelings for me for a long time. I took up a job at their family’s business, but after about 2 months the business closed down. My sister then passed away due to a medical accident a few days after the anniversary of my mum’s death, then a few days after that my girlfriend broke up with me. I got a lucky break when I got the opportunity to move cross country again to a new home all to myself, however about a week or two before I planned the drive down I got into an accident that wasn’t my fault and my car was totaled and I wasn’t able to claim anything from my insurance for it. I’ve been in the new house for a few months, but I haven’t been able to get a new job in this new town at all and it’s weighing heavily on me.
I spent the last month+ interviewing and taking tests for a city government job out here, but got word today that I failed the polygraph test that was the final step due to nerves and got told I can’t apply for any more positions with them for 3 years. So I’m stuck in a house in a new town without any friends or family remotely nearby and I can’t afford to get a new car.
I know there are people that are way worse off and I can take some solace in my situation, but it just feels like everything just keeps getting worse with no end in sight and I’m just really not sure what to do. I could really use some support or advice to know that everything is going to be okay.
I’ve even reached out to momforaminute looking for some support and positive affirmations as my mother was a big part of my life, but I was immediately told that I don’t belong there, had my posts removed and that I needed to seek financial advice instead or seek therapy, and now I’m feeling even more isolated and alone and undeserving of help. I don’t want any hate sent to them because they are doing a good thing, but this experience with them after working up to finally reaching out for help hurt pretty deeply.
I just want to know that things really will get better.

2023.06.02 11:08 Bastirex May patay pero gusto sumbatay.

My grandma died today due to old age and other complications. We(magkakapatid) love our grandma kasi she's the one who made us feel loved during our childhood. So we help financially mostly kasi busy rin kami sa buhay.
Before telling the story of what's happening now here's the background. My grandma have 6 children who are alive. Panganay nanay ko and ung family namin ung mas matatanda than cousins, our oldest sibling is 35, im 33, oldest cousin is 32yrs old followed by 30yrs old, hopefully this gives you an idea about our age ranges.
Anyway going back to our grandma. Early last year she had an accident, kaming magkakapatid 50% inambag sa medical bill then the rest sa mga tyahin na namin. Later on we found out na sobra ung ambag namin ng 8k pero sabi ng one of our young cousin (20s) na wag na daw sabihin samin sa per our other tyahin, pambili nalang daw ng gamot. Kami naman magkakapatid thinks na sige okay lang willing naman kami ibigay un.
Late last year she had another accident this time affects her brain functions na, the bill is less than 90k, because of philhealth and other gov't help labas pa dyan ung other expenses. again we helped by giving 45k total kasama mga misc expenses.Malaki naging issue nito kasi gusto nung mga tyahin namin kami magbayad lahat kasi sila daw nag aalaga. Kami naman magkakapatid thinks na "whyy? Kayo anak responsibilidad nyo yan." We made a stand na hangang dun lang itutulong namin. This time I semi cutoff my two titas na from my life.
Then today my grandma died. Nasa funeraria ngayon and 80k+ daw ang babayaran para mailabas ung bangkay tomorrow. This time inoobliga kami na kami magbayad lahat kasi wala daw kaming naitulong since nagkasakiy lola ko. Take note.. apo kami. My titas are messaging my sister (highest earners samin magkakapatid) and wants her to pay for everything. And constantly sunusumbat na wala daw kaming naitulong. Sadly kaming magkakapatid lang inoobligang mag bayad and never once na mention na sa cousins namin na tumulong din sila. Which I think is okay lang kasi apo nga diba, pero apo din kami and nanay nila ung nawala bakit gusto nila na kami ang mag shoulder ng lahat?
Added info.
My mom's siblings 2 boys, 3 girls.
We're supporting our mom kasi wala syang source of income.
Tita no. 1 have commercial properties and working abroad ang asawa.
Tita no. 2 have small business.
Tita no. 3 have sari sari store pero hindi naman din well off.
Tito 1 can't help as much sa expenses kasi he's working for tita no. 1, and mababa sweldo.
Tito no. 2 have junk shop but not earning a lot
Tita 1 and tita 2 are the one who are saying shit about us and wants us to pay for the funeral. Tita no. 3 doesn't say anything and tahimik lang.
Dunno how to edit the title: but it's sumbatan*

User The Benefits of Regularly Cleaning and Maintaining Your Roof - South East Roof Repairs
Introduction:

Keeping Your Roof in Tip-Top Shape

Do you ever think about your roof? It's up there, protecting your home day in and day out, yet it often goes unnoticed and unappreciated. Well, it's time to change that! In this article, we'll dive into the benefits of regularly cleaning and maintaining your roof, and how South East Roof Repairs can help you keep your roof in tip-top shape. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and let's explore the world above your head!

Aesthetic Appeal: Enhancing the Beauty of Your Home

Imagine driving up to a house with a dilapidated, moss-covered roof. Not the most inviting sight, is it? Cleaning and maintaining your roof not only keeps it in good condition but also enhances the aesthetic appeal of your entire home. A clean roof with no debris, moss, or algae instantly gives your house a fresh, well-maintained look. It's like a makeover for your home's curb appeal!

Longevity: Extending the Lifespan of Your Roof

Your roof is a significant investment, and you want it to last as long as possible. Regular cleaning and maintenance play a crucial role in extending the lifespan of your roof. When you remove debris, leaves, and branches, you prevent the accumulation of moisture that can lead to rotting or deterioration of your roof's materials. By taking care of your roof, you're essentially adding years to its life and saving money in the long run.

Energy Efficiency: Lowering Your Utility Bills

Did you know that a dirty roof can affect the energy efficiency of your home? When dirt, algae, or moss cover your roof, it can trap heat, making your home hotter during the summer months. This can result in increased energy consumption and higher cooling bills. By regularly cleaning your roof, you allow it to reflect sunlight instead of absorbing it, which helps keep your home cooler and reduces the strain on your air conditioning system. A cleaner roof means lower utility bills and a more comfortable living environment.

Preventing Damage: Keeping the Elements at Bay

Your roof acts as a shield against the elements, protecting your home from rain, wind, and sun. However, if your roof is neglected and not properly maintained, it can develop cracks, leaks, or weak spots, leaving your home vulnerable to water damage. Regular cleaning and maintenance help identify and address any issues before they become major problems. By proactively taking care of your roof, you're safeguarding your home from costly repairs caused by water infiltration.

South East Roof Repairs provides thorough roof inspections, identifying any damage, leaks, or weak spots. They offer prompt repairs to ensure that your roof remains in excellent condition. By addressing problems early on, you can prevent further damage and costly repairs down the line.

Gutter Cleaning: Keeping Water Flowing Smoothly

Clogged gutters can lead to water buildup, which can damage your roof, walls, and foundation. South East Roof Repairs offers professional gutter cleaning services, removing leaves, debris, and other blockages that can hinder the flow of water. By keeping your gutters clean, you prevent water from backing up and causing potential damage to your home.

Roof Coating: Adding an Extra Layer of Protection

South East Roof Repairs also provides roof coating services to add an extra layer of protection to your roof. Roof coatings act as a barrier against UV rays, moisture, and other harmful elements, extending the life of your roof. They can also improve energy efficiency by reflecting sunlight and reducing heat absorption. With a roof coating from South East Roof Repairs, you can enhance your roof's durability and save on energy costs.

Maintenance Tips: DIY Steps for Roof Care

While South East Roof Repairs provides professional services, there are also steps you can take to maintain your roof between their visits. Here are some simple maintenance tips:

Regular Cleaning: Clearing Debris and Keeping it Clean

Make it a habit to clear any debris that accumulates on your roof, such as leaves, branches, and dirt. You can use a soft-bristle broom or a leaf blower to gently remove the debris. Avoid using a pressure washer, as it can damage the roofing materials. Regular cleaning helps prevent the buildup of moisture and keeps your roof looking tidy.

https://preview.redd.it/8555xtgagk3b1.jpg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc2b9dc9e6e26ca585f957108fd0fa67a1fc055b

Inspect for Damage: Keeping an Eye Out for Issues

Take the time to inspect your roof for any signs of damage, such as missing shingles, cracked tiles, or loose flashing. Look for any areas where water might be pooling or signs of leaks inside your home. If you notice any problems, it's best to call in the professionals at South East Roof Repairs to assess and fix them.

Trim Surrounding Trees: Preventing Potential Hazards

Overhanging tree branches can pose a risk to your roof, especially during storms. Trim any branches that are in close proximity to your roof to prevent them from scraping against the surface or causing damage during high winds. Keeping trees trimmed also reduces the amount of debris that falls onto your roof.

Clean Gutters: Ensuring Proper Water Flow

Regularly clean your gutters to ensure that water can flow freely and avoid backups that can lead to roof and foundation damage. Use a ladder to access your gutters and remove any leaves, twigs, and debris. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, you can rely on the expertise of South East Roof Repairs to take care of it for you.

Final Thoughts: A Healthy Roof, A Happy Home

2023.06.02 10:27 ConorBrennan Yamaha FSZ 150 engine rattling noise

Hi all,
https://youtu.be/d_1SGmyfCKo
Just got my first motorcycle, a secondhand FSZ-150. Think it's a V2. The engine makes a bit of a rattling noise both in idle and especially when throttle is added. I've read it could just be a timing cable problem or a valve issue (unclear exactly why – I'm in Taiwan and my Chinese isn't the greatest). If it's the valve issue, it'd be a comparatively cheap repair according to the mechanic, but it could also be a properly expensive repair. If anyone has experience here with these bikes, I'd super super appreciate all and any help in getting a possible diagnosis and idea of what range of costs I might have to pay for the repair (not including mechanic hours, as those obviously vary from region to region).
At this point i need to decide whether to just return it for a small loss or possibly repair for a huge loss. I did get it a bit cheaper than normal – around 15000 NTD (so 500 USD) cheaper than usual. It allegedly had an accident which damaged the body, but that was repaired and they said it caused no particular damage to the engine or any other components. Sounds like they slid the bike or something. I am inclined to believe this, as on the two hour drive home it generally felt really good. Engine just sounds weird.
Thanks for all and any advice :) I can try to provide more info as I learn more. I'm going to take it either later today or tomorrow to get it checked out and get a better estimate of price range.
If y'all want a longer video or anything, just ask and I'll deal with it

Thanks for all and any advice :) I can try to provide more info as I learn more. I'm going to take it either later today or tomorrow to get it checked out and get a better estimate of price range.
If y'all want a longer video or anything, just ask and I'll deal with it.

2023.06.02 10:14 Acceptable_Shift_247 my siblings are treated better.

my brother g is 14 years old. he's only 3 years younger than me and has adhd. i 17(ftm) have major depression, anxiety, and ptsd (all diagnosed ofc).
my little brother's life has always been better than mine from the get go. i am jealous with, in my opinion, good reason. his parents are together, neither abuse him, his extended family is positive and loving, and he generally has had a better family life growing up. as one of his 3 siblings i can't say the same. all of our lives have been worse in comparison yet he gets the most sympathy. my oldest brother has a drug addicted deadbeat dad that tried using him for money/rides and was abused by my father before being torn away from his friends to move states, my step brother has an over bearing mother who cares more about materialistic things then his interests, and i was sexually and physically abused by my dad and others from 4 up.
despite this me and my siblings are rarely given attention or get to choose activities. we used to have family movie and game nights yet could never pick the movie/game. it was always "oh that movies not appropriate for your brother" or "that game will be too hard for your brother!". this meant he got to pick everything every time and we couldn't ever play games/watch stuff without including him which meant never getting to do that stuff without adjusting for him. he was always slap happy but never was really punished. where my brothers and i were pit in time out or grounded for even accidents he hit on purpose daily and was only scolded. eventually we were told to stop being tattle tails and that it didn't hurt that much. if we ever retaliated or even just pushed him away or ran away to avoid being hurt we were yelled at cause he'd cry. he always got new clothes, back packs, toys, and games while i got hand me downs and told to enjoy what i had. while he'd get $50 lego sets i would get $10 dolls that scared the crap out of me and a guilt trip for not enjoying it. his interests were always looked out for with birthday parties, gifts, and conversations. we all had to watch his favorite tv shows. meanwhile, our parents couldn't tell you what each of us liked past things from several years ago. they always complained we were too complicated or didn't know what we liked when they were the ones not listening when we'd try to talk to them about things. my oldest brother stopped playing with all of us and participating in family activities first. then my step brother who was only over for half the week stopped. when i didn't want to play with him or engage with the family any more i wasn't allowed to say no because nobody else would hang with my youngest brother if i left. i was there to distract and keep him happy while my brothers all got to enjoy their time.
things stopped for me faster than my other siblings. my step dad always liked his own kids better but it hurt a lot more to be second priority to both your bio dad and step dad. where i was told to get my own snack/drink or that i was too heavy to pick up at 7-8 years old my step brother and little brother got that treatment into their teens. my step dad never asked for quality time with me or my interests. instead i was chided for not understanding sarcasm like his sons or ignored when wanting to do something he found boring. several times he laughed when my things got ruined because i "always ruined" his kids stuff. it was only ever on accident i damaged anything any of my family members owned.
i was a "prodigy" and "gifted" as a child so i was always made to do extra homework and get good grades. my brothers got to slide by with barely passing d's and threats by teachers of summer school while i was scolded for a c+. i remember my mom telling me i wasn't allowed to watch a movie i hadn't read the book for. i liked reading but this made it into a chore. my brothers of course had no such restrictions on what they could watch/play. even today my parents are upset that im not going to college when my oldest brother lives with them and plays video games any time he's home from work. i graduated a YEAR early under stressful and unexpected circumstances. even them instead of being proud of me for getting through it despite my mental illness' they were upset i hadn't done enough. my youngest brother meanwhile just barely made it through this year and yet complained he was asked to do his homework. he was still allowed to hang out with friends and play games all day despite having all f's at one point!
my little brother also made many jokes at one point that his dad hit him/left him because he thought it was funny. my parents had "talks" with him for months until finally my step dad yelled at him. it sucks that he got to make fun of such an experience when me and my oldest brother were abused by my dad. even now i suffer daily from ptsd. even if he doesn't make the jokes now he still makes fun of me for having a dick head dad knowing it hurts me and gets away with it. he never has to take responsibility for anything and gets to scream at my parents, hit me, and leave giant messes for others to clean without any consequences.
im just so done. i feel so overlooked and discussing this with my parents even with my therapist present has earned me defensive responses and at some points them simply walking away from me. am i just a bad kid?

2023.06.02 09:41 midwestchauffeur Enhancing Your Journey: The Importance of Car Service

Introduction: In today's fast-paced world, owning a car has become a necessity for many individuals. Whether it's commuting to work, running errands, or embarking on a road trip, our cars play a vital role in our daily lives. However, to ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our vehicles, regular car servicing is crucial. In this article, we will explore the importance of car service and highlight its various aspects.
  1. Maximizing Performance: One of the primary benefits of regular car service is maximizing performance. Over time, various components of a vehicle can wear out, leading to decreased efficiency and diminished driving experience. A comprehensive car service includes checking and servicing the engine, brakes, transmission, and other vital systems, ensuring they are in optimal condition. Regular maintenance helps identify and address minor issues before they develop into major problems, ensuring your car runs smoothly and efficiently.
  2. Ensuring Safety: Safety should always be a top priority when it comes to vehicles. Regular car service plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of both the driver and passengers. During servicing, the mechanic thoroughly inspects critical safety features such as brakes, tires, suspension, and lights. This proactive approach helps identify any potential safety hazards and enables timely repairs or replacements, reducing the risk of accidents and breakdowns on the road.
  3. Prolonging Vehicle Lifespan: Purchasing a car is a significant investment, and maintaining its value is essential. Regular car service contributes to prolonging the lifespan of your vehicle. By addressing minor issues promptly and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks, you can prevent premature wear and tear. Taking care of your car through regular servicing will not only extend its longevity but also enhance its resale value should you decide to sell it in the future.
  4. Saving Money in the Long Run: While some individuals may hesitate to spend money on car service, it is a smart investment that can save you money in the long run. Neglecting routine maintenance can lead to more significant and expensive repairs down the line. By detecting and fixing minor issues early on, you can prevent them from escalating into major problems that require costly repairs or component replacements. Regular servicing also helps improve fuel efficiency, saving you money at the gas pump.
  5. Manufacturer Warranty Compliance: For individuals with new or leased vehicles, adhering to the manufacturer's recommended service schedule is essential to maintain warranty coverage. Car manufacturers often require regular servicing to validate warranty claims. By following the prescribed service intervals and documenting the maintenance history, you can ensure that any potential warranty repairs are covered.
Conclusion: Car service is not merely an option but a vital aspect of responsible car ownership. Regular maintenance enhances performance, ensures safety, prolongs vehicle lifespan, saves money, and maintains warranty coverage. It is recommended to consult your vehicle's owner's manual or a trusted mechanic to establish a maintenance schedule tailored to your car's specific needs. By investing in regular car service, you can enjoy a smoother, safer, and more reliable journey on the road.
