2023.05.30 15:25 Ribido Where to find a fixer upper?
I've been browsing the sub reddit for a while, done my fair share of searching and excited to start a project of fixing up a golf cart, however I'm really struggling to find anything in my area (Raleigh) to serve as a fixer upper. I'm not sure if this is just post pandemic side hustling, but the only thing I find on craigslist/FB marketplace are scams and carts that have already been flipped. Mid 90's club cars going for 5-6k. At this point I feel like my best and only option is to hope I see something by the side of the road.
Any advice? I have no problem doing work, or a complete rebuild, but I would expect that to be something sub 1k or even free if it was completely inoperable. Are my expectations just off? Looking in the wrong places?

2023.05.27 18:27 jankublik19 2021 Liv Thrive vs. 2015 Liv Avail
| || | submitted by jankublik19 to whichbike [link] [comments]
Hi all! I (F24) am in the market for a new bike to help me commute more around my city (Chicago). I've been commuting ~3 miles on an old Raleigh mountain bike and doing some longer ~15 mile weekend rides for fun. Moving in a month and my commute will shorten to two miles, but I'd like to start riding more often to pick up groceries, meet friends, etc. and I'm excited to upgrade!
I've felt really good on Liv bikes when I've test ridden them at my LBS and I managed to find two on Craigslist -- a 2021 Liv Thrive 2 and a 2015 Liv Avail -- that are the same price and in my budget. The Thrive looks pretty new and I know that the Avail only has about 100 miles on it and the seller recently got it a full tune up.
Obviously the big difference is that the Avail is much more of a standard road bike and has rim brakes, but I don't have a strong preference between drops and flat bars or rim/hydraulics. If I test ride both and don't have a strong preference, is one superior to the other component-wise/is the Avail being nearly ten years old despite having very few miles on it a concern? I've been reading up as much as I can on both bikes but am still moderately new to cycling so would really appreciate any help with judging the components.

Thank you!! Liv Thrive 2, 2021 Liv Avail, 2015

2023.05.16 07:20 Prestigious_Stress17 How to Find the Best Deals on Used Vending Machines for Sale
| || | submitted by Prestigious_Stress17 to u/Prestigious_Stress17 [link] [comments]
Are you considering starting a vending machine business or expanding your existing one? Buying used vending machines can be a great way to save money while still obtaining high-quality equipment. But with so many options out there, how do you find the best deals? Here, we’ll share some tips and tricks on how to find the best deals on used vending machines for sale
. From where to look, what to look for, and how to get the most value out of your purchase – we’ve got you covered! So let’s dive in and start exploring the world of used vending machines!
How to find used vending machines for sale
When it comes to finding used vending machines for sale
, there are several options available. One of the most common places to look is online marketplaces like eBay or Craigslist. However, it’s important to do your due diligence and thoroughly research the seller before making a purchase.
Another option is to check with local businesses that may be upgrading their vending machines and looking to sell their old ones. You can also reach out to vending machine distributors or manufacturers who may have refurbished models available at a lower cost.
Attending industry trade shows or auctions can also be a great way to find used vending machines for sale and network with other professionals in the industry.
It’s important to keep in mind that while purchasing a used vending machine may save you money upfront, maintenance costs should also be factored into your decision-making process. Be sure to inspect any potential purchases thoroughly and ask about any previous repairs or issues before making a final decision.
What to look for when buying a used vending machine
When buying a used vending machine, there are several things to consider to ensure that you get the best value for your money. Here are some important factors to keep in mind:
- Condition: One of the most critical factors when buying a used vending machine is its condition. You want to make sure that it’s in good working order and has been well-maintained by its previous owner.
- Age: While age doesn’t always indicate the quality of a vending machine, newer models tend to have more advanced features and technology than older ones.
- Inventory capacity: Depending on your needs, you’ll want to choose a vending machine with an appropriate inventory capacity that can handle the products you plan on stocking.
- Payment options: Another essential factor is payment options. Ensure that the used vending machine allows customers to pay using various methods such as cashless payments or mobile payments
- Warranty and customer support: Make sure that the seller offers adequate customer support and provides warranties for any repairs needed after purchase.
By keeping these factors in mind when searching for a used vending machine, you’ll be able to find one that will meet your business needs while still offering excellent value for money spent.
How to get the most value out of your used vending machine
Getting the most value out of your used vending machine is important to ensure that you make a good return on investment. Here are some tips on how to do just that.
Firstly, consider the location where you will place your vending machine. Placing it in a high-traffic area such as schools or offices can increase the chances of sales and help generate more profit for you.
Secondly, keep your machine well-stocked with popular items that people crave such as snacks, drinks and healthy options like fruits and nuts. This keeps customers coming back for more and increases the likelihood of repeat business.
Thirdly, consider offering promotions or discounts during slow periods to entice customers to purchase from your machine. Make sure these specials are advertised clearly on the outside of your vending machines so they are visible to potential buyers.
Keep up with maintenance by regularly cleaning and servicing your used vending machines. A clean and well-maintained machine not only attracts customers but also ensures longevity for years to come.
In summary, finding the best deals on used vending machines for sale
requires some research and careful consideration. By following the tips outlined in this article, you can find a great machine that meets your needs and budget.
Remember to consider factors such as location, condition, and price when searching for a used vending machine. Don’t be afraid to negotiate with sellers or ask questions about the machine’s history and maintenance.
With these strategies in mind, you can confidently invest in a quality used vending machine that will provide you with years of profitable use. So start your search today and enjoy all the benefits of owning your own successful vending business!

2023.03.30 11:56 GCseedling Newbie, need some help with my first gaming/streaming pc, please.
Biting the bullet and building my first gaming PC, please help!
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
• Gaming, streaming, browsing internet, possible 2d art. I would like to run games on at least high, preferably ult obviously (assuming a L/M/H/Ultra setting), and at 60 fps since I don’t really like higher fps. A couple years future proofed at lower settings is also preferred.
These are the games I’m looking to play: subnautica, elden ring, the long dark, Skyrim, Hogwarts legacy, Tomb Raider remakes, maybe CSGO, etc.
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
• $750 USD, willing to go to $1000 and pull all my hair out.
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
• Couple weeks?
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
• I have a large tv for a monitor, should I get an actual gaming monitor? I also have a keyboard and mouse, both usb. Whatever else is what I don’t have.
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
• NC, USA, there is a microcenter 4 hours away if it’s a really good deal, my mom would be on the way drive and would enjoy getting out.
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
• Bengoo rgb keyboard and Amazon basics mouse.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
• Maybe down the line, I don’t really care about that. If something’s cheaper for better performance, then yes.
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
• I think a terabyte of storage would be enough. I have really bad internet and it takes hours to download a few gigs, so I’d like to keep games on my HD unless that’s bad. I think SSD helps Game boot speed or smth like that? If it does, that would be good unless it could be better spent elsewhere. Also, very good wifi or an extender, but I’m not sure if that will work.
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
• Don't sacrifice money, but it would be nice if it was pink or second place is white. RGB and window is pretty cool, too. Think super girly.
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
• I have windows 10 on my current pc and I hope I can just transfer that over.
Extra info or particulars:
I’ve been gaming on an integrated graphics card for 7 years, playing Sub at 20 fps locked and generally ruining my eyesight, so I’d love to be able to really experience these games. I really just want the best rig I can get for the price (regardless of looks) and I hope I don’t have my expectations too high!
I’m totally willing to buy used.
If anyone could take a look at this and let me know if it’s a good deal, that’d be great. I checked pcpartspicker and subbed in a few things I didn’t know and the total came to $1800. Any questions I should ask? https://raleigh.craigslist.org/sys/d/durham-gaming-pc/7604804636.html
I appreciate any help, thank you sincerely for taking the time out to research and answer.

2023.03.20 11:02 AllegedlyLoL Help me help myself, please
Some Backstory- I've been displaced since April of last year. Home we lived in for almost 4 years/Owner broke hip, son filed eviction within 48 hrs/sheriff's showed up and gave us 10 minutes to grab what was important and changed locks. Period- doesn't matter what was legal or could have been done. Made camp in September, 1st burned down in late October (lost everything again) February cleaned out and pushed to move (2nd time) and just last week was told we needed to move again with a 4day notice. Mind you, my camp has always been clean, out of sight, never had any legal issues, so please don't bash me. I'm really just at a loss at who to turn to at this point.

Hi all. Bought a 2001 triumph sprint RS about a year ago. Subsequent divorce has me working two jobs, with no time to ride and no place to keep it. Plus I could use the money right now. Outside of FB marketplace and craigslist, is there a good place to sell reliably? I'm about 30 mins outside Raleigh, NC. Thanks.

2022.12.28 04:23 themattydor 2012 Mazda3 vs 2009 Pontiac Vibe
I’m not necessarily dead set on one of these 2 cars, but I’d like to get a car soon and each of these is really appealing for their reputation for being reliable. The Vibe is essentially a Corolla and mileage is decent. The Mazda is a little high in mileage, but it’s 3 years newer and is the Skyactiv model that apparently works really well.
All else being equal, I’d choose the Mazda. But ultimately I want a car that still has at least a few years of life left in it and won’t require a bunch of money to get through those years.
What do you think? mazda3 Pontiac vibe

2022.12.10 17:46 EricaFYeah Local Bar Jobs
I know this is probably posted extremely often, but I just moved here from Raleigh and am MAJORLY low on money.
I have been scouring Craigslist, Indeed, Monster, and SnagAJob, and I've applied to plenty of places and heard nothing. I did already sign up for UpShift and am about to, as a last resort, give DoorDash, Instacart, and Uber Eats a try. However, I'd really rather avoid those as I'm not too familiar with the area and have an abysmal sense of direction.
I really enjoy working in neighborhood/sports bars and I have been for years. From my experience, I know a lot of these places avoid advertising on big job search sites because a lot of the candidates are unreliable or just not a great fit for the specific brand they're looking for. I know it's a total long shot, but if anyone has any leads or suggestions I'd love some help. I'm 37, have been serving since I was 20, Bartending since I was 22, and also have managing experience. Thanks in advance friends.

2022.11.29 15:34 gumballmachinering Would anyone mind telling me about this loom?
I found this loom on Craigslist, and while I have been making use of the wiki to learn about tapestry, floor, backstrap, and rigid heddle looms, I'm still not sure what kind this is. I'm curious about weaving but remember childhood projects well enough to know I'd want a shed - no interest in going oveunder with a needle for lengths and lengths. And I'd like to be able to make dishtowels, at least. But I'm not quite prepared to drop $200+ on a new rigid heddle loom! Wondering if this would work.
Hope this is allowed, I'm in a few other craft subs and know these kinds of totally-at-sea posts can be tiresome. Thanks for any guidance!
