Hello all, hope you’re all having a great start to your day.
I inoculated 10 UB bags and 4 jars with 1 syringe of liquid culture on 6/1 around noon and I’ve yet to see the mycelium take hold anywhere. The strain is Avery’s Albino. Am I getting overly worried about nothing because it’s only been ~3 days? What should i do. I feel headache and when my headache stopped it goes to my heart, i have heartache, nauseaand stroke feeling. I could hardly breathe for few mins and back to normal. I was having low fever for a week and its already 10 days.

Hi guys, I have a situation with my flat, there is a leak and I have called up the management company but nothing has been done so far, here is the bullet points

• I am in London
• I first noticed the leak on may 27, it was the weekend and bank holiday and I couldn't get in touch with the management company, I sent them email, filled out the contact form on their website and kept calling but i didn't get a response
• on Monday (May 29) I posted on a local WhatsApp group asking if anyone has a personal contact for an employee, an employee reached out to me and said they are sending out a plumber to take a look, the plumber arrived an hour later but couldn't get into the upstairs flat (where the leak is from) so he left, the management company told me I need to provide them a way to enter the flat otherwise they can't do anything, I tried knocking on the door and asking the other neighbors for a contact but no luck
• on Wednesday (May 31) I sent them the title to the flat upstairs, there was no contact but I figured they might have a better chance of getting a contact number from the information on the title, they didn't respond to it
• On Friday (June 2) I sent them a message saying that this is taking too long and I need it resolved, they responded saying that they couldn't do anything because I didn't give them the contact info

So I have a couple of questions

• Are they right for not doing anything because I couldn't get a contact number?
• Can I withhold rent until it's fixed?
• Even if they fix it I still spent almost 10 days in a flat that stinks, I can't use my kitchen because it's leaking in there and my bedroom is a mess, can I deduct some money from the rent?
• And most importantly I need to threaten them with something, I was considering calling the landlord and telling them why they are not gonna get the rent this month and let them fight it out with the management company, but is there also am agency or something I can file a complaint with?

I am full-time everything, technically produce but I help out in merchandising and anywhere else they need me that I don't mind doing for the day to get out of the mundane. So my question is I spoke with management and they said because of block scheduling a four-day 10 hours schedule isn't possible, am I being lied to or is this something that really cannot be altered? They talk about health and wellness my ass more like wealth and hell of a mess!

I (36f) got banned on Venmo due to a customer doing a chargeback on an order they had received (I sell candles and bathbombs, I know they received it as package was signed for, if they were unsatisfied for whatever reason I would have refunded had they just asked but they went straight to disputing), this Venmo was a business account.
However I still heavily rely on it for business; I'm a small business owner and it's what many of my customers use to pay.
So a friend of mine has agreed to take Venmo payments on my behalf and I told her for her help she can take 10% of the proceeds; and I only use this as a last resort if customer can't pay another way (cashapp, zelle, PayPal etc).
She is good at remembering to send the payment but one time a month or so ago when I asked her she felt insulted when I asked her if it had been received because she "never forgets" (and which is true up to that point she hasn't), I wasn't implying that she forgot, I just had a deadline to get a discount on a bulk order for some supplies and wanted to see if I'd be able to make it or not, I wasn't trying to insult her memory/remembering skills.
Anyway she owed me a recent payment this time she did forget because she sent me.$$ from another order in the week and thought "she already did it" and I told her no that was another customer, that was two days ago and she said "ok I'll do it later."
I however two days later didn't receive it and I have to pay my rent, so I tried to be super gentle about it and say "hey when you send the zelle payment please send it to xyz account as that's where my rent comes out" again she gets insulted that I'm implying she'll forget (though it did seem like she genuinely did forget, and I tried to be as gentle and diplomatic about it as possible).
AITA for reminding her again?
EDIT: when I say I use Venmo as a last resort; I mean I use that if that's the absolute only way the customer is able.to/willing to pay

• T30: in short, its basically a heavy tank. a great great one. 10/10
  
• T95, aka the Doom Tutel: this is an absolute brute force of a tank. u get a slow moving fortress with absurd armor and a hard hitting gun. it also received speed boost which just makes it even more insane. 10/10
  
• WT Pz IV, aka the Waffle: im still salty it got an alpha nerf, like why wg? nonetheless, its still 600 dmg, and that still hurts a hella lot. the gun is insanely accurate, which makes the tank super fun to play with. the smaller gun is a literal hit-scan gun (u just click fire and it will hit and pen 90% of the time). its such a great sniper tonk. 10/10
  
• Jagdtiger, aka the Chadtiger: the combination of dpm and good alpha damage makes this tank super dangerous to go against. it even has some armor to work with. the only thing that holds it back is the meh speed, but who cares its still a fken amazing tank. 10/10
  
• Obj 704: i mean, other than the gun, i dont love anything else on this tank. its just alright. the infamous 152mm BL-10 gun it has is lovely, but the speed is meh, and it has no effective armor. 7/10
  
• SU-122-54: the tier 9 E25. it features the highest dpm in the whole game, and a rather low profile with good mobility. u can snipe w it, or u can even play it like a medium tank. it works both ways. 8/10
  
• Tortoise: its alright tbh. i kinda wish it had the speed boost like the T95, and the armor, especially the cupola being better than it is right now. otherwise its a good tank. it has the same dpm as the SU-122-54, as well as HESH shells for 515 dmg. i enjoyed it. 8/10
  
• Conway: i rlly like this tank. ppl say i should run it with the 120mm gun for dpm, which i agree, it has amazing dpm, but the 670 alpha HESH it gets on the top gun makes it an amazing tank for me. i actually enjoyed this more than the Waffle cus of the HESH. 10/10
  
• Ho-Ri 2: like the tier 10, this thing rips through armor like nothing. the pen it has is fken amazing. it also has some armor (until ppl load premium), and some mobility too. its a good tank for me. 8/10
  
• WZ-111G FT: i think chinese tds are kinda underrated. this thing packs a huge punch. it can be played like the ISU-152 at tier 8 in a way, just a bit slower. armor can work but ppl normally load premium anyways so it doesnt rlly have that much armor. i enjoyed it. 8/10
  
• Foch: long gone were the days when this thing had the same dpm as the Chadtiger and the SU-122-54. it was fun back then and would get a 10/10, but now with the new autoloader it has, it is an alright tank. its playstyle is quite unique for a td, so it can still be quite fun. this and the tier 10 will still be one of my fav tds (wg pls give Foch 155 autoloader its 560 alpha back bruh). 9/10
  
• CC 1 Mk2: in short, its a heavy tank w a nice autoreloader, but i rlly dont like the reserve shell mechanic. 7/10
  
• WT Ritter: if u take the small hit-scan gun from the Waffle and greatly decrease the reload speed, u get this tank. it is extremely deadly sniping from a good position. i rlly enjoy this one. 10/10

How it began
My entire life growing up I've had frequent headaches, maybe a few times a week. I dealt with this, though it was not pleasant. However, things changed after I finished university.
I finished university and got my master's degree in computer science. I got an entry level software developer job using my degree and things were going great. I was still dealing with headaches as always, but I was used to that. However, things started to change.
Three years into work, I started getting headaches every single day instead of once in a while. They were also getting more severe. I work as a software developer so I spend a lot of time on the computer, and I also play a lot of video games. Eventually, I quit my job and ended up moving across country with my family. The headaches were beginning to greatly interfere with my ability to concentrate at work and my mood. I decided I would take a short break, resolve the medical issues, and get a new job right after in a new place. I also decided to take some time off the computer and games.
Eventually, the headaches started to wind down. They slowly stopped, but I had a new problem emerging instead. The pain seemingly moved to my neck.
Explanation of problem
Every day there is severe pain in my neck. It is mainly located here, but when it gets bad, it feels like it spreads all around my neck, sometimes feeling like the pain is in my throat:

The pain is nonstop. Every day. It never, ever stops. It is extremely painful, with some days being much worse, for no explainable reason. It lasts from the moment I wake up until the time I fall asleep. It feels like a sort of dull pain, but can feel sharp when it gets very bad. When the pain gets bad, it spreads around my neck, and will go up the back of my neck into my head a bit. Any decent exercise will amplify the pain greatly, even something like a 20 minute walk. The amplified pain can last the rest of the entire day, and I've also had it seep into the next day as well. I never get any pain in my arms, shoulders, or back; just my neck and partially my head. The only other action that seems to affect it is looking down for a long period of time. Laying down seems to reduce the pain after I lay down for a while, but the moment I sit up or stand up, the pain immediately starts to escalate and get worse.
I began to seek medical help.
History of doctors
First, I saw a chiropractor. He did various movements on my back and neck after heating sessions. After many visits, the pain did not change at all and it was not helping. He advised that I should see a neurologist. In the meantime, I also tried a dentist to see if my teeth could be causing the problems, but there was nothing there causing issues.
The neurologist wanted to do an MRI of my head and neck. We did the MRI, and there were no problems found. He said the only thing he could see was "benign cysts", and he said that they would not be the cause of any problems. He additionally did a CT scan, which also showed nothing. He then referred me for some xrays which, again, showed absolutely nothing in my back or neck. He decided to refer me to pain management, saying there is nothing he can do.
I went to see pain management and they immediately decided I should do an Epidural Steroid Injection into the back of my neck. They said that this would likely remove the pain for some months, and if it worked, I could get it again. I decided to do the procedure. It was very painful. For the next week, I suffered extreme side effects; I was unable to sit up or stand at all. I had no idea what was wrong. It got so bad I went to the emergency room, and they said there was an air bubble stuck in my neck. They said it would clear up in a few days, and I should get some caffeine to help speed it up. They gave me some morphine which basically deleted the pain, and sent me home. That visit sent me a bill of $10,000 since I had no insurance. A few days later, the side effects ended.
After the air bubble was gone, it seemed like my pain was reduced and the injection helped. After a month or two, the pain began to get worse again, so, I begrudgingly decided to do the injection again. The doctor said I agreed there would be risks, so it wasn't his responsibility in any way. He said it happens to less than 1% of patients and he does the injections all the time. I did the injection again, and this time, there was no air bubble problems. However, it also did not help in any way. There was no pain reduction at all.
The pain continued to get worse. I told him it did not help, and he said "it has to be an neurology problem at this point, I will refer you to a neurologist." He also prescribed me Tramadol for the pain. The Tramadol significantly helped reduce the pain, as ibuprofen seemingly had no effect anymore. I was being very careful on taking ibuprofen because I did not want to get rebound headaches, so I was not upping my dosage, nor taking it every day. I was also trying acetaminophen, but it did not help either. The Tramadol helped a lot for my sanity dealing with the pain every day.
I started seeing a general practice doc at the same time as the new neurologist. The general practice doc checked multiple things, and asked a lot of questions. He had me try muscle relaxers and also continued to prescribe me tramadol since it was helping, and I was keeping dosage under control just fine. The muscle relaxers did not help at all, so he had me try a med called Amitriptyline. He told me while it is an anti-depression drug, it will help with the pain. I did not want to take meds that mess with how I feel a lot, but I decided to try it. In general, I don't like taking meds, and I don't like how they make me feel at all (including the tramadol) but I was willing to try if they would help. The amitriptyline did help with the day to day pain overall but not enough to make it bearable. It also helped with the side effects of the tramadol.
The new neurologist looked over my MRI and other scans. He said that he believes it may be something called a "chiari malformation." He also said the tramadol is probably causing the pain and told me to ease myself off of it and stop taking it entirely. He ordered more scans and decided that it does not seem to be the malformation. Getting off the tramadol did not help with the pain at all after 1-2 months of not taking it, and life was hell with the extreme pain. He had me do "trigger point injections" and these did nothing to help either. He said he could potentially do botox injections and they may help, but advised against it regardless because "I was young" and "they could cause bone problems later on in life." In general, I did not like this doctor at all; he was very rude. Eventually, I was told he was leaving the practice and he was replaced with a new neurologist.
The new neurologist looked over everything again. He said the other doc was insane to think it is a chiari malformation, and took it off my chart entirely to "not mislead people." He was very kind and tried his best to assist me, but really did not know what could be causing the pain. He also said the pain management place was insane to immediately try an epidural injection. Ultimately, he had me try muscle relaxers again and also try another med called Benztropine. He said it may help with the pain as well. After taking the Benztropine for some time, it did not help with the pain at all. He referred me to a physical therapist.
I saw the physical therapist and explained my issues. He had me do sessions twice a week for a few months. We did various stretching exercises in the meetings and he had me do more at home. The stretching exercises amplified the pain whenever I did them due to the physical exercise. Despite that, I did them as instructed every day. After seeing him for a few months, he told me that there is nothing more he can do, as everything he is doing does not seem to be helping. He told me that something is causing the pain, and his stretches and exercises will not help until whatever is causing the pain is gone.
I returned to the neurologist and explained. He advised I should try taking some vitamin B12, so I began taking supplements for that and other vitamins. He also referred me to a rheumatologist for them to check for any diseases or blood problems, but they found nothing after multiple blood tests. He tried doing some sort of special MRI that scans for blood issues... I don't remember what it was called, but he saw nothing wrong after doing the test. He advised I should take the Tramadol again as it was helping with the pain, but he really did not know what to do. He advised I go see pain management again because he was out of ideas. Beyond that, he told me I should make sure my glasses prescription was up to date with blue light blocking (which I did) and I should do everything I can to make sure I have good posture and everything when I do use the computer.
I told my general practice doc what happened and he still didn't know what to do. I tried researching online what the pain could possibly be from, but still had no idea. He decided to refer me to a university nearby to see a neurologist there, saying that they may have the knowledge and expertise to pinpoint the problem. I was really not happy with seeing another neurologist given what has transpired so far, but I decided to try. He also gave me a referral to an ENT to check my throat.
At this point, I got a new job working remote because it was clear this problem was not going to resolve itself any time soon. The new job is very easy to do but does not make full use of my degree. It at least gives me insurance, as I have spent thousands of dollars now with no aid. One day I had particularly bad pain and decided to just go to the ER and hope they could find something wrong... but this did not help at all. They just gave me some morphine and tell me to follow-up with my general practice doc. This completely removed the pain and I felt what it was like to be pain free for once in a long time, but didn't actually help to bring me to a solution.
The new neurologist at the university said I should have another MRI done. She said that their process is very detailed and they will look over things with scrutiny and have a good chance of finding the problem. So, I did another MRI scan. She looked things over and found nothing. She had no useful advice to give. She said "you have tried everything we can give in terms of meds" and she did not believe it to be a neurological problem. She said I should see an orthopedic doc to see if they find anything. She also advised a nearby headache institute might be able to find something, but she also said it is extremely unlikely they will see me if I'm taking tramadol.
I saw the orthopedic doc and he had me do new x-rays. He looked over those and my other scans. He found nothing wrong and he said that he has no reason to perform any surgery because he sees nothing wrong. He had no advice to give and said there was nothing he could do.
I saw the ENT doc I was referred to, and he stuck a tube up my nose to look at my throat, and he immediately just said he saw nothing wrong. He had no advice to give.
At this point, I'm pretty much losing hope. My general practice doc was out of ideas at this point since I've tried many meds and seen many doctors. He referred me to a new pain specialist to look things over. The new pain specialist really did not know what to do, but insisted I should try trigger point injections again. I did them, and nothing changed, once again. Because they did not help, he said I should try botox. My insurance denied the procedure, twice. He said he would do it for free with samples he has, and gave me the botox injections. A month passed and the pain did not change at all. He is out of ideas and does not know what to do. He told me to keep taking tramadol since it seems to help.
Today
That's the end of my story up until present day. This is where I stand now. The pain has gotten worse over time. It still hurts, every day, never stopping. The pain is so severe some days that if I did not have the tramadol to reduce it, I would want to go to the ER. Many days I just want to lay down and sleep as much as possible so I am not awake, dealing with the pain. I have to push myself to do my job and often just want to sleep once it's over. No doctor has been able to figure anything out, and none of my doctors have any idea of what to do next. At this point my general practice doctor says that I should expect to live with the pain, and advise reading books about "living with pain." The pain is way too high to just tolerate. I can't stand it. I can't do any exercise because it will make the pain even worse. I spent months forcing myself to do exercise routines, walks, stretches, but it just makes it hurt more and doesn't do anything to help.
I might be forgetting some things, but it's been a painful few years. I really don't know what to do. If anyone has any ideas of what I can try or do, please tell me. Nobody seems to know anything about it. Nothing I do helps. I am getting very depressed.

The other day I went to DTLA and Santa Monica and parked along the meters. Both were $2 per hour. Today I checked my bank statement and saw I got charged $10 and $5 by LADOT and $1.25 to the city of Santa Monica. I know it’s not a lot but I don’t understand why the charges are that high considering I paid only for an hour at both meters?

My husband and I are traveling to the greater Anaheim area to visit our respective families that live all over Orange County. We haven’t been in over 10 years and so our main goal is to spend time with family. We both would like to spend a day at Disneyland and have chosen Tuesday, July 11th. But, I’m also pregnant, so here is my conundrum:
I know that rope drop to close in normal situations is tough, but I will be 17 weeks pregnant. My first trimester has been somewhat rough with exhaustion and nausea. It’s starting to get better, but I’m not going to count on it going away completely in the 2nd trimester. Since tickets will be close to $500, we want to get as much bang for our buck, but I also don’t want to overdo it. I know that I won’t be able to ride many e-Ticket rides and my husband isn’t a big fan of coasters, so that will free up some time.
Here is my question: Would you bite the bullet and stay one night at a hotel, increasing the price to around $1500, so we would have a guaranteed midday break? My idea is we would rope drop at 8AM, leave around 2 and check into the hotel for a nap and relaxing time and then reenter the park around 5-6 to close down the park at 12. Then, we could sleep soundly at a hotel and not rush to leave in the AM (anyone know check out times?).
I would book the hotel and tickets separate because on Disney’s site you can only book 1 night with 2-day pass tickets. I only want a one day pass. We know we’re only going to Disneyland Park (we may do park hopper, but that’s up in the air). GCH is $936 with fees and things and then the tickets separately are $498 (this is with park hopper & genie+). So total of $1434.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for a pregnant woman visiting Disneyland for the first time in over a decade, who wants to enjoy everything possible with the realism of needing a good nap break?

Hii everyone . I don’t know why I’m here , but I am . I have struggled with mental illness for 10 years now . I’m currently 21 and remember the younger version of me wishing nothing but to see my fate . 10 years later and nothing has changed . Like , does anyone else feel like you live in a simulation . You look around and watch your favourite YouTubers or even your friends go out into society and fulfil their dreams and just try to be happy . Does anyone feel uncomfortable when you leave your house . I just get so anxious and have anxiety attacks . I’m in fight or flight 24/7 and just don’t know how to handle it . I can’t live life. I’m trapped , and to be honest I don’t want to get help. Because I feel like I don’t deserve it and I feel like it won’t make any difference . I have tried btw , I have been to therapy and stuff and done different things .
I had a dream the other night and I was in an accident and passed away . And the excitement I felt was extraordinary . Like I felt so excited , I felt as if I was free and I was safe and peaceful . They say writing your thoughts is the best way to cope so here I am. And I’m sorry if I don’t hit the requirements with my post if there even is any . I just know , maybe not today , maybe not tomorrow , but in the near future my fate will be my own choosing . And nothing will stop me . Because I do not want to be stopped . I once thought my importance on this earth was permanent but I’m not important and never will be . I love being lonely , and I’d rather spend my whole days watching movies in my room than be surrounded my people . I’m just lost . And every minute I sink deeper and deeper and I’m at the point where I am too deep and cannot come back . I hope everyone is okay though .

My wife and I co-own a stone countertop shop. She runs day to day operations, is the face of the company, and while I work a full time job but will do paperwork & IT on the weekends. I’ll also come in, as needed, to be an extra pair of hands.
I need to mention our looks, because it’s relevant. I’m not a 10. I’m an early 40s, bald, dad-bod type. I’ve aged like milk. My wife, on the other hand, has aged like wine. Between a love of fashion and fitness, she is a beautiful woman. We joke that our business does so well because she’s “contractor bait.”
This past Thursday there was a load of new show room material being delivered. I had scheduled to be at the shop to help unload the new, move out the old, and do a deep clean.
Around 3:30 PM, a contractor came in to drop off a check, and then discuss a new project. He’s chatting up my wife, being friendly, etc. I’m just hired help to him, but I notice the way he stares at her ass as she walks around, and then he blatantly looks down her shirt when she’s at the front desk writing up paperwork. I just shake my head. He’s there for 20 minutes or so, and leaves.
About the same time I finish cleaning up and go to head home. She has to run payroll for Friday and then make a bank run, so we go our separate ways.
Since I have time to kill, I hit the local bar for a beer before driving home. Guess who is there? The contractor. I sit near him because most seats are taken, and he notices my company shirt. He chats me up.
Pretty quickly he mentions my wife. “I don’t know how you can work for her. I’d be harder than those countertops seeing her walk around all day!”
“Yeah, I guess she’s pretty cute.”
“Pretty cute? That’s the time of woman that could drain my bank account and it would be worth every penny!”
It goes like this for a bit, when he asks if I know what she likes to drink. I say I’m not sure, but when we do happy hours she usually gets a vodka soda or something like that.
My wife hates vodka. She loves gin.
So imagine my surprise when she comes home from the shop the next day with a handle of Tito’s vodka from a friendly contractor! Apparently she did a “great job” on the last project, and he wanted to say thanks.
I’m typing this post on Sunday morning enjoying a Bloody Mary with that man’s generous vodka gift.
