When Will The Little Mermaid be Streaming on Disney Plus ?
The Little Mermaid Disney+ premiere date is tentatively estimated to be Aug. 30, 2023. Currently, no official Disney+ release date has yet been announced.

It should come as no surprise that The Little Mermaid will undoubtedly be coming to Disney+ at a later date, as the massive streaming service has become a one-stop shop for all manner of Disney-related content. Still, the question remains of when the anticipated reimagining of The Little Mermaid will be coming to Disney+. Well, typically for Disney's theatrical releases, such as their new animated features like Strange World and recent entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, they usually arrive to Disney+ roughly ninety days after the theatrical release begins. That means we can assume that The Little Mermaid will be available to stream on Disney+ sometime in either late August 2023 or early September 2023.

Disney+ currently has two solo subscription options for those who don't yet have access to the prolific streaming platform. The first solo option is the Basic plan, which offers the entire Disney+ library with limited ads for $7.99 USD per month. The second solo option is the Premium plan, which removes ads from the service entirely and allows for select titles to be downloaded for offline viewing, all for $10.99 USD per month.

There are also three Disney Bundle options that package Hulu and/or ESPN+ for an all-in-one collection. The first is Duo Basic, which includes the Base options for both Disney+ and Hulu with ads for $9.99 USD per month. Then there is Trio Basic, which is the same as Duo Basic but with ESPN+ included, costing $12.99 USD per month. Finally, the best bang for your buck is Trio Premium, which removes ads from Disney+ and Hulu (but not ESPN+) and allows the downloading of select titles for offline usage for $19.99 USD per month.

If any of these options sound enticing to you, click here to sign up for Disney+.

Is The Little Mermaid 2023 streaming on HBO Max?
No, The Little Mermaid will not be available on HBO Max. it’s not a Warner Bros, The Little Mermaid is distributed by Walt Disney Studios, so therefore, it will stream to Disney+. Our best guess is a Disney+ premiere date in September 2023, but check back with us when it’s official.

2023.06.02 14:37 retrofuturism77 AS-like symptoms (SI pain, uveitis and B27+) now 18 months into remission

I thought I’d write up my experience of AS or AS-like symptoms in case it helps anyone else. I’ve been meaning to write it all down myself for some time too.
I first realised I had a problem in March ’21, after I developed really bad uveitis in one eye. It was utter agony at times and extremely worrying. My vision really suffered and it was very difficult to be told the cause was unknown so might or might not come back. Thankfully I made a full recovery, through really slowly tapering of the steroid drops as directed. But my optometrist also asked about joint pain.
I’d had back pain for at least a couple of years. It would periodically get worse then better and I largely ignored it, taking only occasional painkillers. Knowing what I know now, it was so obviously auto-immune related, rather than mechanical. It was always worst in the morning (but I assumed it was my bed) and it got better through exercise and stretching. The pain did seem to be getting worse, though I was also more aware of it, and I was thankfully able to see a rheumatologist within a few weeks.
MRIs were clear but my blood work tested positive for HLA B27 and highly raised CRP, among others. He suspected nr-axSpA and prescribed NSAIDs. I chose ibuprofen which worked for the most and the fact you can get it off the shelf made it feel less serious mentally…
I was feeling pretty ill though and to make things worse, I developed atrial fibrillation, which was a complete surprise and detected by my Apple Watch. I’ve heard and read differing views on how AS can affect your heart. I had never had any heart issues until this point and I am convinced the issues were connected, due to the inflammation and everything else. The atrial fibrillation also reduced as my AS symptoms eased later (and even later, I had catheter ablation, which should hopefully be the end of it).
I found all this really difficult to accept, especially the fact that the cause of all of this was unknown. As such, I started reading scientific papers online.
The more I read, the more I was convinced my autoimmune issues were related to my gut. I had a very serious bout of food poisoning before - I think - the pain had started. I’d also had general antibiotics at a similar time for several different operations. I also have a parent who has coeliac’s and once had a bout of sarcoidosis.
I started to make significant changes to my diet to see what might help, also writing a food and medication diary. As things got better later, I was able to relax the diet a bit. I had never eaten unhealthily as such, and I always used to run regularly, but I massively increased the amount of fruit, veg, fibre, pre and pro-biotic foods I ate. I stopped vaping and massively reduced my alcohol intake. When I was most desperate, I cut out gluten, and then starch, but I was never fully convinced by the simplicity of the klebsiella argument, and found the severity tough, so I gradually reintroduced both. I stopped vaping, which likely helped and I massively reduced my alcohol intake, though I noticed later it probably did not make much difference. I also started introducing different supplements, all listed below.
Over the next 6 months, things improved but only slightly and when a second round of blood results came back, my suspected diagnosis was confirmed by my specialist. Regardless I continued with the dietary changes. In particular, I started taking psyllium husk and glutamine and I now believe these two made the biggest difference. Psyllium husk is the simplest and basically pure fibre. I had eventually realised that my pain was often - though not always - worse when my stools were harder (yes, my diary even started to note these…) Based on a thread here, I also started taking a spoonful of glutamine every morning before eating, mixed in water. The theory with glutamine is that by taking it before eating, it’s absorbed first by your gut, which has a particular affinity for glutamine. The supplement subsequently helps repair it.
My pain reduced significantly over the next 3 months of taking the extra fibre via the psyllium husk and glutamine. By the time I got to my third main appointment with the rheumatologist, about 18 months later, my pain had essentially gone entirely. About another 6 months have passed since then and the vast majority of those days have been at 0. I think I have occasional hip lower back stiffness when I’m fighting off a cold or other infection but it’s pretty subtle and might even be just general feverish joint pain/stiffness.
I am so sceptical of the various cures you see online. The UK’s NHS website makes the same warning and notes that if there was a cure, they would be recommending it to everyone.
I can only speculate but I wonder if I had the beginnings of AS but I was able to stop it developing to a point it became irreversible. Or perhaps there are just similar sub-AS like conditions, or perhaps it was all just coincidence. Perhaps it just indicates how little we know about the impact of our gut on auto-immune diseases.
All I do know is that I am B27 positive; I even have a diagnosis of sorts; I had symptoms and I have a family history of auto-immune conditions. I am no longer as strict on my diet but I still take psyllium and a small amount of glutamine daily. The gut brain axis is even less studied but since remission I have since been diagnosed with ADHD (accompanied by periodic anxiety and depression).
Anyway, my best wishes to everyone on here. AS is horrible. I myself had days when I could hardly get out of bed, whatever it was that I had. I am very thankful to be where I am now. I hope this might help someone. Here’s a list of some of the things that helped (and those that didn’t).
Good foods Sauerkraut and kimchi (I ate huge amounts and still do, even if the AS-benefits are minimal it’s good for you in other ways) Apples (the pectin in the skin is a good prebiotic)
Things I stopped Vaping Alcohol (though not completely)
Things I didn’t stop Coffee (though I limited it when I was worried about my heart) Dairy Gluten and then starch (I stopped both for a 2 week period, not long enough to tell for definite)
Supplements in order of benefits Psyllium husk (perhaps I was just constipated all along? This helped anyway) L-glutamine (as above, I also thing this helped massively) Probiotic supplement (as many CFU as possible and as many varieties as possible. When I was really desperate, I also took a probiotic suppository. I even spotted a trial testing the effects of FMT on AS…) Boulardii supplement (there are lots suggestions that boulardii can the gut to recover from dysbiosis) Apple pectin (taken as a powder as a prebiotic, it possibly helped) Fish oil (as high omega content as possible, it’s good for you anyway) Vitamin D (I read the links and think many of us are deficient anyway) Multivitamin (minimal benefits for AS I think) Curcumin (expensive, supposedly anti-inflammatory but I could see no benefits)

2023.06.02 14:30 BlackWidow1990 Exercise issues?

It seems as though I am currently flaring, but it’s totally my fault. I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy (it was thought I may have celiac, but I do not) and it was shown that I was flaring. Made sense as I wasn’t feel well but I did start feeling better. I have been eating a lot of foods that normally cause me to flare because I thought I could handle it. Apparently I could not handle and now I am feel ick again and heavily fatigued. I’m wondering if should go gluten free, but idk. Doctor said if I don’t have celiac, it’s up to me.
Part of the issue is that I am not having diarrhea but I am going to the bathroom several times a day. Not sure if it counts as a flare since it’s not diarrhea. Guess it means my medication is working?
My main issue at the moment is exercise. Every time I exercise my stomach is extremely bloated. I’m not sure if this is related to food or to exercise. It mainly clicked because a family member was talking about how they lost inches from doing stomach exercises and I am exercising just as much and I feel like I gained weight, but only in my stomach.
Has anyone else experienced this? I feel very self conscious and bad about myself. I feel like my body looks out of proportion- I have skinny/toned legs and arms and my stomach is huge, I look 14 months pregnant (and I’m not even a little pregnant). I’m also constantly thirsty, not sure if drinking so much water helps either.

Can someone explain why this could be happening (see stats below)? I’ve been running FB ads. The CTR is decent, and then they reach checkout (though the “buy now” link goes straight to checkout) but no one converts. It’s for a $20 product in the fitness industry.
I’m at my wits end because I don’t understand what’s stopping them at checkout. The checkout has PayPal, Venmo and Apple Pay so it’s super easy. They know the price beforehand so it’s not a surprise. Shipping is free. I only have the absolute minimum fields for getting their address. Help 😭

2023.06.02 13:31 appicsoftwareseo Top 10 Factors Affecting The App Development Cost.

Top 10 Factors Affecting The App Development Cost.
Do you know the download volume of apps and games in 2022 is 142.6 Billion? In this post, we will be mentioning the In-depth knowledge of factors affecting the app development cost. In today day’s mobile app development is very profitable for companies' growth, but the cost factor plays a major role in the development of an application. How, Do check it out.

Mobile App Developments
Top 10 Factors.
  • App Building Platform
  • App Security Costs
  • Third-Party Integration
  • The App Type And Size
  • App Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Development Team Location
  • Functionality And Features
  • App Maintenance And Updates
  • UI/UX

App Building Platform

The choice of a platform for developing mobile apps would depend on the business strategy. If the services demand an application, it must be made accessible on widely used platforms like- Android and IOS. There are two methods for Building apps: Hybrid, and Native.
According to a futuristic viewpoint, the majority of businesses create Native and Hybrid apps, especially for Android and IOS to scale the business possibilities Another type is web applications, Which are fully functional mobile-friendly versions of websites.
Hybrid apps are additionally less expensive than native apps. It permits capability for both native and online apps. With just one line or web code, it makes it possible for the program to run on various platforms and devices.

App Security Costs

Whether you develop a business app or one for m-commerce, security is always a top priority. As a result, remember o factor in security when estimating the cost of developing a mobile app.
High security is crucial because you will be storing sensitive data including employee and customer information as well as transaction and other payment details. Assign a price to this strategy by making sure your app is safe enough to protect the user data you acquire.
Depending on your app size, target audience, and how many users involve it requires, mobile app development may suggest the best security measures.

Third-Party Integration

If your app requires third-party integration services like payment gateways, social media platforms, or APIs, the complexity, and cost of development can increase. Each Integration adds additional development effort and potential licensing fees.

The App Type And Size

The size and nature of the app you are creating is the next aspect to think about, The three levels of complexity for mobile apps-small, medium, large-affect the cost of development, with the latter being the most typical.
Small apps are created for a single platform, have a minimal feature set, and make use of a common UI Component. These apps cannot require any back-end programing or API INtegration.
Even if they were created for a single platform, medium-sized software will have a consistent user interface and payment options.
Depending on the functionality it offers, various small-sized programs can also be included as a part of larger apps. Any travel booking application like Sotheby's Apple TV is an example of a medium-sized business.
These apps also require a lot of back-end labour to manage and keep enormous databases.

App Testing and Quality Assurance

Comprehensive testing and quality assurance processes are crucial to delivering a reliable and bug-free app. The complexity and depth of testing required, including device compatibility testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing, can influence the development cost.

Development Team Location

The pricing of developing a mobile app may differ depending on whether you work with a well-known mobile app development business, a niche app development company, or an independent developer.
This is due to the fact that each task associated with the development process is managed by a different department in a huge organization, resulting in high costs.
On the other hand startup or Independent developer offering service or mobile app development can have just one team handling everything, which would result in lower costs.

Functionality And Features

The feature and functionality you decide to include will ultimately dictate how much money your app will cost. As the number of features and functionality rises, so will the price.
The primary and secondary functionality of your application must therefore be separated. For instance, a geolocation service is not necessary for an editing app. However, without employing location services, it is impossible to build a food ordering app.
The feature you include in your app should therefore be carefully considered.

App Maintenance And Updates

Ongoing Maintenance and regular updates are essential to keep the app functional and up-to-date. The cost of maintenance and updates should be considered a long-term factor, as it can impact the overall cost of app development like:-eCommerce, Astrology, Automotive, Real-Estate, On-demand, and healthcare, etc.

UI/UX

User Interface(UI) and User experience (UX) are essential for the success of your application. A basic yet distinctive UI/UX app design is difficult to make, and it will cost more money. If you want to leave a lasting impression on your users, your application needs UI/UX elements like push notifications, icons, visual pictures, and customization.
With a decent design, consumers will want to use your app more frequently and won’t eventually stop using it.

Mobile App Developments

Conclusion

Now In the end we hope that you understand that there are likely additional elements that influence a mobile application’s cost in addition to those already listed.
However, If you too are planning to develop an application and looking for an eCommerce, Astrology, Automotive, Real-estate, On-demand, Finance, Education, and Healthcare app development company, then you should check out Appic Softwares.

2023.06.02 13:14 Bob-the_scary_tomato I quit everything "fun" for 3 months to see if it would make me happy like they say... Here's what happened.

I was your test dummy.
I literally only ate freaking meat, veggies, and seeds/nuts. I didn’t even eat bread or put dressing/crutons on my salad to make sure to keep it healthy.
I cut ALL hobbies to ONLY the weekends and cut all unless texting with people off my radar.
I was only productive.
All my free time went to a business start-up, even down to my bathroom breaks. (I would literally watch sales training on the toilet, haha). And I did all this for three months…
SO. WHAT HAPPENED, AND WAS IT WORTH IT?
DID IT MAKE ME HAPPIER OR JUST MAKE LIFE STINK?
Good question.
…………………….
Well it’s finely happened.
In this third update I have my first report of failure, but that didn’t last long.
Exactly a quarter way through month three I got sick, but getting sick is not what scared me. What scared me is that I slowed down my progress because of it. Before you think that’s perfectly normal, imagine this:
While I was sick, my flipping brain was PERFECTLY ALRIGHT with watching some YouTube videos, or enjoying my hobby of piano with spare time, but as soon as it came to putting a paint job on a jetski for re-sale, ALL OF A SUDDEN my brain didn’t feel like putting any time there! Malarkey! I snapped out of it after a week and am back in the race.
I then made 3k with the remainder of the month Entrepreneurly selling jet skis. I started buying and selling them after refurbishing due to taking care to be perceptive of my environment. I noticed a trend and made profits, and not bad profits for my third month. (I tell exactly how I do it on last months update if you want to see :)
Some would say that mindset in sickness is weird, but I think you’re weird 😆. If you, in any way, desire to accomplish more than the average human, then YOU MUST hold yourself to a higher level of responsibility and commitment. If you heard me speak of that mistake and considered it overkill, that tells you a lot about what you’re capable of. Standard mindsets won’t take you further than standard everything else.
That mistake has been juiced of its lessons and will not be made again.
WHAT THE LAST THREE MONTHS HAVE TOUGHT ME:
(trigger warning for some. I say things the way they are :)
  1. If you procrastinate, it’s not because you have a problem. It’s because you don’t care. If someone showed a fat man a fitness program that could lose his weight in 6 months, he wouldn’t do it. Two weeks in he would get tired and start skipping days and procrastinating. “I just have bad genetics. Obesity runs in my family.” Or… “it’s 11pm. If I worked out this late it would steel my sleep and that’s bad for me!”
BUT…
If you told him that “if you don’t lose the weight in 6 months, you’ll lose your left leg”, I flipping GUARANTEE the weight would be gone. There would all of a sudden be VERY little talking about fat running in the family because all of a sudden he wouldn’t care if it ran in his family. The only thing that would matter is losing the weight. He would never be “too tired” to train, and it would never be “too late” to train. He would wake up at 4am if he had to because he wants his left leg more than an hour of sleep. Procrastinating just tells you directly how much it means to you and that’s all. (That’s why my sickness quandary scared me)
  1. If you currently lack the ability to care enough to stop procrastinating, it’s actually not your fault a lot of times. I know. That’s not what you were expecting haha. There is ONE main reason that you lack a drive to put in enough effort. It is THE ONE killer of your dreams. The killer is COMFORT. “Give a man a full stomach and empty balls and watch his dreams fly out the window. COMFORT HAS KILLED MORE DREAMS THAN FAILURE EVER WILL.”
If you watch YouTube, and play video games, and have Netflix, and view porn, and eat yummy foods, YOU WILL almost NEVER acquire the required drive to accomplish big things. You don’t care enough because you’re unhealthy habits satisfy you JUST enough that you don’t change crap. :) You can only become obsessed once you remove them.
……………………
Alright, I think that’s it for this month. If you liked that advice, we all gotta know so we can realistically see how many people do. Even if it’s just one word “yes”, leave it behind so we can see who has the majority haha. Or leave me hate. We need to know who is greater.
If you wanna watch my personal journey, then you can save my account or whatever lol. This is all I post, and reddit is removed off my phone in-between updates so you won’t get crap all the time.
This next month I have some interesting money ideas. We’ll see how it goes.
See ya in a month and my best wishes go to you! You got this and perhaps we can live our journey together. I may not be super experienced yet, but so far, it’s far worth it!

2023.06.02 13:05 Cultivate88 Lengthy Macbook keyboard Repair Process at Apple Store

I just went through quite a lengthy (several months) keyboard replacement process for a 2018 Macbook Pro 15" and thought I might share a few things I learned along the way.
TL;DR
  1. Keyboard replacements at the Apple Store include the Keyboard, Touch-bar, and Battery (at least for my MBP 15).
  2. All costs were covered by Apple, but in case you're curious, the invoice listed $100 for labor and $578 for parts for each top case repair (more on this later).
  3. After 3 repairs for the same issue, there is an opportunity to get a replacement.
Part 1: Store Visits
First time I went to the Apple Store late last year I mentioned the sticky keys issue which the employees were able to quickly reproduce. I also mentioned that my battery was having issues since I was getting about 1% percentage drop every 2-3 minutes. They ran their diagnostics which didn't find anything wrong, but the Apple employee was pretty upfront and mentioned that the top case part that they replace would include the keyboard, touchbar, as well as the battery. I got my replacement back after 3 days.
TBH, I was pretty excited to see a nearly brand laptop - the keyboard was fixed, however the battery issue got worse after the replacement dropping 1% every 1-2 minutes. I played around with it for a week to see if I could reproduce it. Brough it to the store and they were quick to spot the issue and offered to replace the entire top case again for free. Got it back, and unfortunately no-go. The store employee mentioned I should call an Apple Specialist since senior advisors could help me debug more serious issues.
Part 2: Specialist Calls
  1. Specialist 1 asked me to run power cycles and download a diagnostic to record logs.
  2. Specialist 2 suggested I try another power adapter (and actually sent me a new power adapter to try).
  3. Specialist 3 asked me for screen recordings and more diagnostic logs to send to engineering.
  4. Specialist 4 mentioned that had I gone back to the store a 3rd time for the same battery repair that I had an option to get a replacement.
Throughout this process I realized that my Macbook was consistently draining 1% of power per minute while just browsing on Safari.
Part 3: Resolution
Well it ended up being a fairly complex hardware problem and the issue is resolved now, just wish it hadn't taken a few months.
Make sure to document (down to the day-level detail) your interactions with an agent because sometimes they switch case numbers on you and you really need to track what happened and when if your support case becomes complex.

2023.06.02 12:38 keyboardsmash_55 Celiac or gluten intolerance? Please help

Hey everyone!
Back in 2020 I said I started experiencing some weird symptoms every time I went to the toilet. Constipation, sometimes blood, anal pain, bloating etc. I had blood tests done and found out I have sensitivity in gluten. We didn’t know if it was just intolerance or celiac back then so I just lowered gluten to see how it goes. A few months later my blood tests were better, still positive but the rates have dropped even though I wasn’t extremely strict with my diet. After a few months I visited a doctor and had upper endoscopy. He confirmed that I have sensitivity in gluten. The problem is I don’t remember whether I have just gluten intolerance or celiac. Back then, I was going through HUGE health anxiety and thought I had something serious like cancer. So when my doctor said it’s gluten I was relieved and didn’t paid attention to what it actually was😭 I know it’s stupid😭 I don’t remember him mentioning celiac but I’m not sure, it’s been a year and half.
So yeah, my symptoms when I eat gluten (unfortunately I have gluten all the time..) are not extremely severe. I just get bloated a lot, gas, constipation and maybe some pain from the bloating. I’ve read that people with celiac are going through much more severe symptoms. I’m on a Facebook team about celiac and see people eating just a little breadcrumbs on accident and have intense symptoms like throwing up, diarrhoea, dizziness etc. I don’t experience any of these I don’t know… it’s a big mistake that I’m not stopping gluten, I have to but it’s addictive… And now I’m going through health anxiety again and be like, what if it’s not just gluten intolerance and something else that upper endoscopy can’t detect. What about Crohn’s disease and what if I have to live with a bag in my belly for the rest of my life?
I remember after my upper endoscopy, I followed a strict gluten free diet and felt much better but I’m not sure, it could be placebo.
Anyways, Whats your opinion? Thanks in advance:)

2023.06.02 12:36 NimbleThor 5 Quick tl;dr iOS Game Reviews / Recommendations (Episode 178)

Happy first Friday of June, my friends! :) And welcome back to this weekly mobile gaming recommendation thread based on some of the most interesting games I played and that were covered on MiniReview this week. I hope you'll enjoy the read.
Support these posts (and YouTube content + development of MiniReview) on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/NimbleThor <3
This episode includes an amazing adventure flying game, a cute polished puzzle game, and old school action arcade game, a fun Brotato alternative, and an indie tower defense real-time strategy game.
New to these posts? Check out the first one from 178 weeks ago here.

Let's get to the games:

Laya's Horizon [Game Size: 546 MB] (Netflix-only)

Genre: Adventure / Casual / Flying - Offline
Orientation: Landscape
Required Attention: Full
tl;dr review by NimbleThor:
Laya’s Horizon is a fantastic 3D adventure flying game where we explore a large island, participate in mini-games, and complete quests – all by gliding from mountaintops using the cape on our back.
Starting at the top of a mountain, we tap to launch ourselves into a glide across a completely open game world. Scattered across the island are NPCs with quests or mini-games, airstreams that provide an uplift so we can glide further, and lots of hidden secrets.
The mini-games range from flying under bridges or close to threes without hitting any obstacles, to racing against NPC gliders. Bust most importantly, gliding around the island just feels amazing – especially when going fast. Although the core gameplay is different, it has a bit of that same feel as flying in “Sky: Children of the Light”.
Despite the many challenging quests, however, the gameplay feels more like a relaxing free-roam experience than something you’re meant to complete as fast as possible.
A few hours into the game, we also discover new mountain tops to launch from, and better capes with different advantages, which allows us to reach new areas of the map.
Laya’s Horizon is made by the developers of Alto’s Adventure, which shows in the game’s atmospheric art style and overall feel. Combined with the music, it creates a highly immersive experience.
The controls may seem daunting at first, but I quickly got the hang of them, and after an hour or two, they start to feel natural.
The biggest downside is that the game requires a beefy phone to run properly. Hopefully, it also expands with more islands down the road.
Laya’s Horizon is a premium game that can only be played with a Netflix subscription. If you already have Netflix, it’s a must-try for anyone fond of casual adventure games.
NOTE: if you don't have Netflix, it's not worth buying the subscription if you only plan on playing Laya’s Horizon.

Where's Samantha? [Total Game Size: 310 MB] (Free)

Genre: Platform / Puzzle - Offline
Orientation: Landscape
Required Attention: Some
tl;dr review by AlexSem:
Where's Samantha? is a beautiful and clever physics-based puzzle platformer that tells a romantic story of two living pieces of fabric who brave increasingly dangerous challenges in order to eventually reunite.
The game takes place in a surreal and colorful textile world full of gaps, springs, levers, buttons, gates, moving platforms, and other interactive objects. There are also plenty of dangerous traps that we need to overcome, including spike pits, rotating saw blades, shooting cannons, and even laser turrets.
Starting as an easy "walk in the park", the game gradually turns into a deadly obstacle course that requires some serious platforming skills to survive.
Throughout our journey, we can make use of an unusual gameplay mechanic that allows our character to split into two, or even three separate pieces of fabric that we can then operate independently. This enables us to solve complex puzzles that involve interacting with multiple remote objects simultaneously.
What’s more, our weight and physics change when splitting up, which means we can apply a large force to doors and platforms when playing as a single character, or split up so we can jump higher to get over obstacles.
What I like the most about the game is its amazing visual style, where every item we see and interact with is hand-drawn to resemble a real-world physical object. Add to this the game’s atmospheric music, crisp sound effects, responsive controls, fluid animations, and an absolutely amazing voice-over narration by an award-winning actor – and you have yourself one of the most aesthetically pleasing experiences you can hope for from a mobile game.
Where's Samantha? shows occasional ads, with a $0.99 to disable them and a $3.99 iAP to unlock the full game.
It's rare to find such a high-quality game on mobile, so if you enjoy puzzles and platformers, I can easily recommend checking it out.

Retro City Rampage DX [Game Size: 29 MB] ($4.99)

Genre: Action / Arcade - Offline
Orientation: Landscape
Required Attention: Full
tl;dr review by AlexSem:
Retro City Rampage DX is an old-school racing and shooting arcade game that draws heavy inspiration from the famous Grand Theft Auto series. It features lots of pixelated violence, energetic 8-bit soundtracks, hectic action, and tons of references to movies and video games of the past.
Playing as a henchman for a powerful crime lord who is robbing yet another bank, we quickly find ourselves dragged into a dangerous cascade of events that only get weirder when time-traveling and other ridiculous sci-fi elements get introduced.
I personally stopped paying attention to the story after a while, as it mostly served as a background for all the crazy events taking place, and as an excuse to reference endless iconic characters from popular franchises.
Just like in GTA, there’s a lot happening very quickly - shooting, racing, fighting, stealing vehicles, robbing banks, chasing the police, participating in minigames, and much much more. The game doesn’t restrict itself to a specific genre, instead just mashing together various elements from all the retro hits of the past. And it somehow actually works.
If we get bored by the fast-paced story mode, we can freely roam the city to do whatever we want, or hone our skills in various arcade challenges.
Unfortunately, this mobile port of the game isn’t perfect. Everything looks too tiny on small screens, and the touch controls aren’t comfortable when we need to react ultra-quickly. So it’s highly recommended to use a Bluetooth controller.
Retro City Rampage DX is a premium game that costs $4.99 on iOS. It’s a great tribute to the classic games of the past, and it succeeds at inducing a deep level of nostalgia while providing the exact type of highly entertaining gameplay experience seasoned gamers grew up with.

Pickle Pete: Survivor [Game Size: 248 MB] (Free)

Genre: Arcade / Bullet-Hell - Offline
Orientation: Portrait + some Landscape
Required Attention: Full
tl;dr review by NimbleThor:
Pickle Pete is a reverse bullet-hell roguelike that combines the over-the-top chaotic gameplay of Brotato with the permanent character progression of Archero for a surprisingly fun gameplay experience.
The objective is to survive 10 time-limited waves of enemy attacks, return home, and then continue to the next chapter. During each wave, we control our pickle character with a large joystick while it auto-shoots at any enemies in range.
After every wave, we get to first pick one of three random stat-boosts if we leveled up during the wave, and then spend the pickles we’ve collected on buying weapons and items. Just like in Brotato, we can equip six weapons at a time, which quickly makes the gameplay chaotically fun.
If we get two of the same item, we can even merge them to increase the rarity, which makes it a lot stronger. I found the weapons to be decently diverse, and it’s entertaining to experiment with everything from snipers to magic wands, anvils, turrets, and drones.
After defeating the boss in wave 10, we receive gold and permanent items. In-between runs, we equip and upgrade these items to grow stronger, and buy stat boosts. All this permanent progression makes the game feel slightly more rewarding than Brotato.
Playing normal runs requires energy that we eventually run out of. Thankfully, the game also features a daily mission game mode, a competitive endless mode, and several challenge modes that are almost entire games on their own. Most of these don’t require any energy.
The art and animations are silly but neat, and I found it particularly nice that we can see where an enemy is about to spawn.
Pickle Pete monetizes via incentivized ads to revive, receive extra gold, or refresh the shop. There are also iAPs for items and a paid battle pass, but none of this is needed to progress at a decent pace.

Nanuleu (Game Size: 59 MB] ($2.99)

Genre: Tower Defense / Strategy / Indie - Offline
Orientation: Portrait
Required Attention: Full
tl;dr review by AlexSem:
Nanuleu is an area control real-time strategy game where we expand our territory, accumulate resources, and place defenses to repel the enemy onslaught until we can launch an effective counterattack.
We play on a randomly generated square grid where certain tiles contain valuable resource deposits such as minerals and water. Starting at the center, we spend resources to build various nodes adjacent to the tiles we already occupy.
Cheap root nodes serve as roads that expand our network, while more expensive extractors can only be placed on deposit tiles to increase resource production. Our objective is to reach several distant tiles on the map and build special nodes there.
As time goes by, enemy camps start to appear in the corners of the map. These spawn troops that attack our nodes, and to oppose them, we must place defense towers that fire projectiles. Once we occupy all the special tiles, we get access to our own troop factories so we can produce units that destroy the enemy spawns. Getting rid of all the enemies is the ultimate goal of the game.
The strategy revolves around carefully balancing our expansion and resource production while racing against the ever-growing enemy forces. If we fail to occupy the deposits, we may not be able to produce enough towers in time, but a larger territory is also harder to control and requires more resources for towers. I found this balancing to be quite challenging and unforgiving, which highly contrasts the game's seemingly casual art style.
Nanuleu is a $2.99 premium game without ads or iAPs. Despite being rather simple and repetitive, it still provides an entertaining and unique experience for fans of real-time strategy and tower defense games.

2023.06.02 12:01 jodriksen Grilled Iberico Secreto w/ apple and onion puree, almond and fennel salad and a white wine and mustard sauce

Hello fellow procooks and homecooks!
I'm making a grilled Iberico Secreto on saturday. A fennel and almond salad on the side, a white wine and mustard sauce and a caramellized apple and onion puree.
I'm a bit unsure about the puree.. Thinking browning the onion and apple separately with thyme and a bayleaf and some butter. Then maybe adding some lemon zest and/or juice to bright it up, and maybe some yoghurt for lightness and some more freshness - since the Iberico is very fatty. Maybe some horseradish? And then pureeing it with some salt to taste.
Do you think this combination in the puree will play well with the rest of the dish? And do you think it will be a balanced dish overall? I have tried keeping the sides and the sauces light because of the fat in the pork, and want them to accentuate the pork, not overpowering it.

2023.06.02 11:50 SoulAncient 30M, 5'4.5" 176 lbs, 12-Hour 7 days/wk Nights

I have been trying for a while to get back in shape but I admit I lack consistency.
Frequently, I work 7 days a week for 12 hour shifts (I desire to take advantage of the available overtime). My work is not very physically taxing, but I find that I cannot get myself up in the evening soon enough to have time for a workout.
Generally, I fall asleep between 9 and 11 AM, I do not have issues with light exposure, but I admit talking to women I am interested in on my phone can keep me up till 11. Usually, I will end my shift and get breakfast (usually a driver through breakfast platter with steak slices, every veggie, steedded cheese, rice and black beans, with eggs and a sour dough cream cheese sandwich, sometimes I will get a milkshake type drink or candy....lol I kinda am seeing my issue).
During my shift I do eat the rest of my waking meal (evening dinner, which is basically the same meal without eggs and the sour dough sandwich) and then I get a sugar free energy drink or iced coffee with the sugar free flavorings with skim milk, depends what I'm feeling for.
I often have apples or mandarins I get from the store and drink water (usually without the flavor packets).
At work I do tend to eat left over fruits and brownies, cookies that have been sitting around for the patients that never ate then for that day(😈).
I realize my diet is actually pretty poorly regulated, I have a habit of eating too many sweets. I don't like juice or sodas (energy drinks excluded).
I guess I need to figure out food that will sustain my sweet tooth (usually I eat because I feel drained and crave sugar, not really a stress response, i feel like i do when i use to go on long runs, a type of mild starving feeling, sometimes I do not eat breakfast before bed because I'm not hungry).
I usually do compound exercises during my workouts:
chest press, shoulder press, leg press, dead lift, chin ups (on the lat pulldown machine, its my preference over bicept curls) and lat pulldowns, calve raises, Crunches and triceps extensions. I don't do all of these at once it's just a 3 to 4 workout 30 minute routine before work.
But I only go once a week at worst and at best 4 times.

2023.06.02 11:29 Kaihanz Fermenting Store-Bought Iced Tea

Greetings fellow homebrewers.
Summer is here and I would like to try a different recipe this time.
I found out that Hard Iced Tea is a thing in the US, brands like Lipton have this product.
My question is this: is it possible to ferment store-bought iced tea? Compared to apple juice, iced tea is way cheaper in my country. Does iced tea contain ingredients like Potassium Sorbate, Sulfite or Benzoate? Has anyone ever tried fermenting iced tea?

It's not real? Keep telling yourself that! For the first time since 2022's Firestarter, the legendary master of horror Stephen King, will have yet another one of his classic tales told with The Boogeyman. Directed by Host filmmaker Rob Savage and based on King's short story of the same name, this terrifying story follows a young girl named Sawyer (Vivien Lyra Blair) as she is tormented by a malicious monster known only as "The Boogeyman." What first sounds like a simple case of a child being afraid of the dark to Sawyer's sister Sadie (Sophie Thatcher) and father Will (Chris Messina) turns out to be anything but, as this children's tale turns out to be very real and very dangerous.

Stephen King adaptations are infamous for their variations in quality. For every masterpiece like The Shining, Misery, and The Shawshank Redemption, there's an adaption less than stellar like Sleepwalkers, Maximum Overdrive, and Cell. In the case of The Boogeyman, it thankfully looks like we're getting one of the better cases of a Stephen King story. Following its premiere at CinemaCon 2023, reactions to The Boogeyman have generally been quite positive, with Collider's own Chase Hutchinson describing the film as a "frequently petrifying" adaptation.

The Boogeyman follows Sadie Harper and her young sister Sawyer after the recent death of their mother. Sadly, their father, Will, is not able to give them any sort of support through this as he is dealing with the death in his own way. A stranger comes knocking, claiming to need help from Will, who is a therapist, but what they allow inside their home is an evil entity.

With a strong start through decent reviews, The Boogeyman is bound to attract dedicated members of the horror film community. To learn more about how you can see Stephen King's nightmare come to life, here is exactly where and how you can watch The Boogeyman.

When is the Release Date for The Boogeyman?
Make sure you got plenty of batteries for your nightlight ready by next month because The Boogeyman will officially begin terrifying audiences everywhere starting on Friday, June 2nd, 2023. However, check your local theater listings for advanced screenings, as some theaters release the film as early as Wednesday evening on May 31st, 2023. Any parents eager to take their kids to go see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse that same weekend should definitely make sure they're walking into the proper theater, so they don't accidentally scar their children for life with the titular monster.

Is The Boogeyman in Theaters?
The only way to see Chris Messina take on a child-hunting monster is to head to your local movie theater, making the Boogeyman's torment of the Harper family only viewable on the big screen. No plans for a streaming release have been made, but more on that in a moment.

Where To Watch The Boogeyman Online:
As of now, the only way to watch The Boogeyman is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, June 2. You can find a local showing on Fandango.

Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube and Apple, or become available to stream on Hulu.

How to Watch The Boogeyman
There's been no official announcement regarding The Boogeyman's streaming release date, though we know it will eventually be released on Disney+, rather than Netflix or HBO Max.

Since the movie was originally supposed to have a streaming release, we don’t doubt it will become available on streaming services at some point, with the most likely being Hulu since that had been the plan to begin with.

That would be Hulu. Don’t hold your breath on it, though! We strongly believe this is where the 20th Century Studios film will go, but this won’t be for a couple of months (or more) after the movie’s theatrical release. As soon as we learn more details, we’ll update you!

When Will The Boogeyman Be On Streaming?
While no official streaming plans have been released by 20th Century Studios as of yet, given the recent release patterns of other films under the ownership of The Walt Disney Company, we can likely expect to see The Boogeyman arrive on streaming no more than ninety days after its theatrical release. Given that the horror film is a 20th Century Studios production and monsters eating children isn't exactly "Happiest Place on Earth" material, The Boogeyman will likely be making its streaming home on Hulu rather than Disney+ (at least, for now).

Before we get into the various pricing plans for Hulu, we should also mention that The Walt Disney Company is confirmed to be planning a merge between Disney+ and Hulu, effectively putting all the massive media conglomerate's content under one roof by the end of the year 2023. No specific date for this merger has been given yet, but the company has already begun purging their least profitable content to prepare for the transition. With that information in mind, the following subscription options for Hulu may not be valid for long, so be sure to be cognizant of that before signing up.

As of now, Hulu has two subscription plans: an ad-supported and ad-free plan. The ad-supported option offers most of Hulu's streaming library with limited ads for $7.99 USD per month or $79.99 USD per year. The ad-free option removes most ads for a higher price of $14.99 USD per month. There are also the Disney Bundle options, including Disney+ and/or ESPN+ in addition to Hulu, but these will likely be reworked or removed entirely in the coming months with the upcoming merger.

Is The Boogeyman on Netflix?
The Boogeyman isn’t currently available on Netflix, but you can catch it in theaters from June 2, 2023.

However, there is a great selection of Netflix horror movies, so you’ll still be able to find plenty to be scared of on the platform. And if you don’t currently have the service, we’ve got all you need to know about the Netflix price.

Will The Boogeyman Be On HBO Max?
No, The Boogeyman will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.

Is The Boogeyman on Disney Plus?
The Boogeyman isn’t currently available on Disney Plus, given that it’s showing exclusively in theaters for now.

It’s also probably not going to end up on there, since Disney Plus isn’t well-known for its horror catalog. That said, it may end up being the option for UK subscribers since Hulu and Disney content often merge for UK-based viewers. There are also plenty of Disney Plus movies and Disney Plus shows you can get stuck into otherwise.

Is The Boogeyman on Prime Video?
The Boogeyman isn’t available to watch on Prime Video right now, but we’ll let you know if it does end up getting distribution there. If you’d like to see what else Prime has to offer, you can sign up for a free trial subscription here.

Is The Boogeyman Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new horror movie The Boogeyman on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

2023.06.02 11:05 SlaveryGames Guitar scales app

Hi all, I created an app for learning guitar scales and note/interval/ear training. It is available for
Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slaverygames.guitarfretboard
and iOS
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/guitar-fretboard-scales/id1623791852?platform=iphone
It has a lot of scales, tunings (it can have from 1 string to 14, bass included (sound for bass is different than for guitar)), you can add your scale or tuning, you can select the look of the fretboard and the look of scale markers. On each scale you can look what chords fit each scale degree "( i )" button. And you can select these chords that fit and app will display the notes of them on the scale. In the Menu -> Trainer there are different games to train notes/intervals/ear (also notes and intervals). In general app is very customizable. It is not a new app, so I had time to implement a lot of feature requests users asked for. Most of feature requests were implemented. Only some feature requests that don't fit the architecture of the app or principles were skipped. If you have any questions about whether the app can do what you want or you have some feature you would like to see let me know either by using "Menu -> Feature request" (via E-mail, this is preferred if you have very specific question because I would be able to provide instructions with screenshots as a response) or ask here. Any feedback is welcomed.
Also once you set up something on a fretboard you can save it as a picture (the whole fretboard or part of it) for later use. I think this would be useful for a lot of people who don't want to return to the app every time. Or just need a diagram to print.
By the rules of subreddit I see that advertising isn't allowed if the main purpose is to get money, but my app has everything free that anybody would ever need (all the main scales (all modes of Major scale, pentatonics, etc)? all the main chords). Only a small number of things are not free which you will never need anyway.I don't really make a lot of money from this app. 2h working as a programmer pays me more than I make from this app in a month and I spent a lot of months building it and improving. Just want it to be useful for somebody since I put so much effort into it.
