Where to begin. I met my husband in college and we were together for 5 years before we got married last year. The controlling, inappropriate behavior began pretty much from the beginning. I am type 1 diabetic and when I was first diagnosed (right after college/ two years into dating) I had trouble with control. I had a BAD low blood sugar one night at their home where I was sweating through my clothes, shaking, and couldn’t see straight. I was pretty much crawling on their floor trying to find my glucose tabs. My husband got me a juice from the fridge and gave it to me. My mil pulled him aside and told him I should get my own juice and he shouldn’t have to do things like that. That’s just one example but she’s also horrendous to his older siblings significant others (he is the youngest of 4). Well then we got married and that was an entire nightmare all together. She complained about everything. I’m sure she was just mad she couldn’t legally get on the altar and marry him herself. But she still brings up to this day that there weren’t enough pictures of their family (it was extremely even - I would even go to say they had more but alas), that they overpaid for the wedding (this was a big big wedding and they had over half the guest list. His dad gave him a set amount and we worked with it, so if she wasn’t mad about this it would be something else), and just tries to take a wonderful memory and taint it for us. We got pregnant on our honeymoon and waited to announce to my husbands parents at the 12 week mark. When we announced she pulled my husband aside and asked him “if he knew I wasn’t on birth control” (lmfao as if we haven’t been having sex for the last 6 years without reproducing - I can promise this baby was very much wanted). All this to say I still hadn’t called it quits with this psycho yet. Well once my son was born we had a super traumatic birth experience and a week in the nicu with a scary diagnosis. I couldn’t hold my baby for a week and it deeply scarred me. We got out of the nicu on Friday and I could finally hold my baby I disturbed (ha.). This woman showed up to our house the next day and took my son and didn’t give him back for hours. I went into the nursery I worked so hard on and just wept. I was folding his little clothes while she snuggled the baby I had sacrificed holding so he could get better. She even came in and say me crying and just asked that I move the clothes off the rocker I had bought so she could rock him. This gutted me because I hadn’t even gotten to rock him in it yet. He’s now almost 4 months and I feel like I’ve seen her constantly. She lives 3 hours away but we’ve seen her every 2 weeks since he was born. When he was about a month old she did the same shit she always does and hogged him all day long (I don’t get to have him when she’s around) and I was finally upstairs giving him a bath and getting ready for bed and he was crying because I was putting a long sleeve onesie on him and it bothers him when I pull things over his head. I started breastfeeding him and she ran upstairs and worriedly asked “is he okay?!” Which I somewhat condescendingly said “yes” to (because no shit he’s okay he’s with his parents) well she turned around to walk away and just started yelling at me on her way out “RUDE! SHES JUST RUDE!”. I was just done at this point because it had been a long day of putting up with this beast of a woman and I was exhausted. I want to add that my husband has always defended me and we had agreed we shouldn’t cut her off because she’s still his mom and my sons grandma but it’s taken it’s toll on our new marriage. We have continued to see her and it’s been pretty miserable each time. We both leave unhappy and I’ve become pretty resentful towards my husband and my marriage from all of it. She wants to visit this weekend and we’ve been fighting because I just want a break. I see all these people in here that see these monster women weekly and I don’t know how they do it. Am I wrong for wanting a long long break (if it were up to me I wouldn’t see her again until probably the holidays but even ruining my sons first Christmas with her presence makes me sick to my stomach). I’m just looking for any advice. I love my husband and I know he loves me but neither of us knows how to handle this and I’m tired of it wearing on our relationship. My son deserves happy parents who love each other. Which honestly he has, but when my mother in law is around it drives a giant wedge between us.

It's funny because at one point years ago I was a horrible insomniac. I would toss and turn and not be able to put my mind to rest or fall asleep. Sometimes I would wind up staying up all night because I could not matter how hard I tried. Fast forward to about a year and a half ago, now I have the opposite problem. More often times than not, I cannot make it through a movie let alone the first 5 minutes of a movie if I lay down on the couch or in bed or even sit up straight for that matter, I wind up falling asleep. My boyfriend tells me how jealous he is because it doesn't matter what time of the day it is or how much sleep I had gotten the night prior I just pass right out almost instantaneously. I'm starting to get very nervous. A few nights ago, I was peeing I'm usually a sitter when I pee but I stood up this time and managed to pass out. I hit my head on the toilet and banged up my elbow. Now, last night, I woke up as I usually do almost every other hour for the night, came outside for a cigarette and was sitting in my chair... What happened? I fell forward and banged my head into the banister scraped my knee and have a humongous lump on my head and a scrape on my ear. Despite the fact that I wake up often throughout the night since I have to constantly pee I fall back asleep very quickly and get at least 8 to 10 hours a night but I still cannot stay awake. Mind you, if I am alert and doing things during the day like working or walking my dog or conversating I do not have a problem. I can stay awake with no issue. It only happens when I'm watching a movie or after I wake up from sleeping shortly after and still feel exhausted so I pass right out. I obviously need to go to the doctor but I'm hoping that somebody here might have even an inkling of an idea as to what I may have wrong with me. I may nervous wreck please help!

In the next 2 years I will do my master's degree and the state exam. I plan to get really good grades in my master's degree to compensate for my average bachelor's degree. My problem/fears:

Having run the Enemy Within in the late 1980s (using 1st ed) and revisited it in the 2000s with 2nd ed. I am thinking of having one more go with the 4th edition reworking of it. At the moment, I am just getting a feel if any/how many might be interested in joining such an endeavour.
As you can gather from the above I'm a long, long time GM (and perfectly happy with that) who foregrounds character and roleplay, though values the importance of action, combat and 'roll'play - the game aspect of RPG is important.
Traditional in approach, I'm not much for homebrew (though to be honest Warhammer doesn't seem to have so much of that), and love to explore the Old World as is writ. I favour the gritty, low fantasy, grim and perilous nature of the game though equally enjoy incorporating the Pythonesque quirky humour inherent within the setting from the very first books- it's can't be all dour misery!
I prefer a theatre of the mind approach and don't use VTTs, usually playing on Discord; immersion is key for me- I would much rather hear how a character plans to sneak up past the body of Knights Panther looking for him or her rather than simply have a player ask for a Sneak roll. The intention would be to play on Sundays from 6:30-9:30 though that could be a moveable feast.
Though I am just the wrong side of 50, any and all are welcome with the only probiso being 18+,, as long as the style of game advertised above appeals: if you're giving up a few hours of your Sunday it should be about everyone having fun.
As said, I am just throwing it out there. If there's interest and we can muster a group of 4-5 would be great to get something up and running at some time throughout June. Any questions please feel free to message me.

I've been meaning to make this post for forever. She's such a busy bragger because she thinks it makes her look important and wanted/needed. Every single blog from the Krystal days to now, she talks about how busy she is. It's so childish. I am an old gorl so back in the day, like ten years ago when I was 22/23 when I got my first full time job and whatnots, I noticed that most of my conversations were about how bussssy I was and how I had so much to do in so little time. Because I only worked part time jobs up until that point so I felt important, I felt like i was needed at work. I felt like everyone had to know that I was needed, I felt like because I was so needed at work, I had to plan my time outside of work to get alllll of the things that I needed to do done(which was not much, I assure you).
Thankfully, this lasted maybe a few months, maybe 3 months. I remember randomly reading an article or reddit post that said that bragging wasn't cool. I rulized that I did exactly what the article did and stopped. But, uh, this gorl never got the memo. Our humgle gorl is a humble bragger and a busy bragger.
Also we have to remember she's living the life shes always wanted to live. She's an iNfLuEnCeR, she has the cool mental illnesses (not the icky diseases like diabeetus and hbp), she can go shoppeen without leaving the house, food comes directly to the door, doordash has a membership (noice!), she lost 3 ell bees, she has a hot, fit gf, her hair is kinky, etc. I can go on and on. She's bragging about how great her life is to us work hogs who work so much but make $1000 a month. Yes, alr said that she thinks some full time workers make only $1000 a month so she is thankfull for her job. I think she thinks that we watch her and are in awe by how cute and dainty she is and how much style she has when decorating. Remember when she used to show off all of her cash in her wallet. Lol!

Traveling from hua hin to chaiyaphum (nong bua dang) with my thai girlfriend and baby. I'm on a 60 day visa that I've already extended for 30 days with imagration in hua hin. A friend of mine whos girlfriend is from loei told me if im going to the village I'd have to register with imagration in chaiyaphum. Thank you to u/kyokocake for giving me the floor this week, and also huge apologies as she actually gave me the floor LAST week and I missed my slot! I’m hoping to make it up to you with my own take on Song of the Week - a love letter to Living In The Dark Live, and to the shows themselves. Strap in, and thank you for indulging me!
I have been very, very fortunate to have seen the band a good number of times post-pandemic - six to be precise! I made the decision to see them whenever and wherever I possibly could when the lockdowns lifted and live music came back to us. We all learned or reaffirmed that life is ridiculously short, and nothing is promised, so I was determined to make the most of my UK base and get out there. As such, I’ve witnessed this magnificent live performance several times and it truly never gets old! I began to really look forward to it, and moved past being ‘hopeful that it will be on the set list’ to ‘certain that it will’ by the end. My certainty was due to seeing what an incredible time the band, and in particular Jon, seemed to be having onstage whenever they played this beauty.
So onto it - I didn’t attend the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, but we do have a lovely upload of it here thanks to Josh! It opens with the most beautiful jangly guitar. A little bit country, a little bit indie pop to my highly untrained ear. Then the fun really begins - Jon’s vocal is as exquisite as ever in this performance, and the addition of the horns and the Wild Tonics really does elevate the whole thing. When we first heard that this would become a regular addition I was very unsure, but I am completely sold now. In person it’s impossible to take your eyes off the Tonics during their solo here, which y’all who know me will recognise is a huge deal for me when The Fratellis are around. It’s a joyous performance all round, and I can’t get enough! I look forward to my European/US/rest of the world friends being able to enjoy it and experience it as I have.
Live or recorded, Living In The Dark is such a beautiful blend of music and lyrics I just can’t help but love. I hope to see the band back on the road soon - I'll be here waiting every day // Wild, wild horses couldn't keep me fromyour front the stage door, oh, I swear x

I’m well aware that I ran the risk of this happening when i initiated the break up in the first place, but I really hoped it wouldn’t. She ended up hooking up with an ex coworker who was “there for her”after the break, and no…she didn’t sleep with him beforehand although she did know him then, she slept with him about 3 months into the breakup.
The problem is, being an ex coworker he sometimes still attends outings after work as he stays in touch with friends from the workplace. My gf has always told me when this happens and admits it can be awkward but they barely acknowledge each other if they can help it. I know I can’t control when there’re out at the same time but I’d just feel more comfortable knowing he they can’t reach out to each other at will.
I asked her to block him as it’d make me feel she’s 100% committed to giving us another shot she said that she completely understands but claims that blocking him would just make things even more awkward between them as they’ll inevitably see each other again during a work outing but said if it would really make me feel better she would, so I’m now torn between feeling it’s not a lot to ask and I’m being a tad controlling…thoughts?

I am sinking into the state of being an incel. I would never join a community, but I have so many bad feelings towards women that I feel like it is an endless cavalry to find anybody who would want me.
This really puts a burden on my everyday life, and I found I need some help. So I am struggling to get a partner (serious relationship or simply sexual) for myself for the last 3 years since I have been in a long relationship which was not fulfilling at all. The feedback from people is that I am a good looking, intelligent person with a sense of humour, I have hobbies and just started working in my first full-time job as an engineer, so on paper, I should have everything that is necessary for a man to be attractive. Last month I got to know a girl who seemed to be into me, all our friends said that we looked like we were a couple because when we were together on one of our little gatherings. She walked close to me, we sat next to each other all the time, then when we said goodbye, I hugged her and she put her face next to mine while hugging, so of course I had to make a move and set up a date with her like two weeks after. The meetup went alright, until the very end. I hugged her to say goodbye, then she looked in my eye without letting go, and then pulled my backpack back (we were in a park and I brought some juice, hence the backpack.) turns out she just lost her balance and did not want to fall, but I understood it so that she just made sure I did not kiss her. To which I only asked “no?” The response was “no.” I said “okay, I don’t mind waiting.” Then she texted me that she did not want a relationship and that she just thought of our meeting as a friendly meeting. This happened on thursday, now it is sunday and yesterday was not that bad, but I feel a constant resentment building up inside me. Every time I tried to do something with women, I failed miserably by hearing this reason, or just straight up got ghosted. The problem is that this time I really believed in it happening. It really broke me in a bad way. I curse a lot when I talk about this problem, I feel hate towards women because I always fail to be chosen. I simply am uncapable of finding love. Not only love, when people say they just go and have hook-ups, that is also impossible for my miserable ass. I used tinder and bumble a lot, I rarely got matches, the ones I get either don’t text back or separate the match immediately. I feel like crying but somehow I lost the ability to do it but it would just feel so good if I could let go of this feeling of never being wanted. My family always had trouble with finding relationships, most of my closest relatives are old and single. I want to give this up so badly but I just cannot do it. I feel like a complete loser who will never achieve anything meaningful because of this.
I posted this before, but it was not friday yet, a week or so has passed since then and I feel a bit better, but still the feeling tends to overwhelm me to the point I am not as energetic as I should be. I reached out to a therapist since then and I am waiting for our first appointment, although I have a slight doubt about anyone being able to tell me something that would soothe this feeling for me.
