2023.06.02 12:39 MaleficentFlight9377 Injury in Grocery Store
Hello all, 2 months ago I was rammed in the back of the foot at Mazzarros (Italian grocery store here in Florida). I didn’t get the little old lady’s information who rammed me; I was wearing my baby at the time and I just wanted to leave before I got hit again. I still haven’t seen a doctor for it, but the back of my foot is killing me. In the morning and night I’m usually limping because it hurts to walk on. I’m in pain because of this injury every day and I’m confident that the people running Mazzarros know about the dangerous situation they’ve created.
Looking at Mazzarro’s Google reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who has had issues there with it being packed and people ramming their carts into things/people. It has even been referred to as “the colosseum”.
My question is- is there any course of action legally that could be followed here? I will be going to get my foot looked at by a professional soon as I can schedule and arrange childcare for all my kids.

2023.06.02 12:35 oi_piglet Spent a whole evening reading up Customs Goods and Communication Regulation Books -- Bringing a Flipper into a Middle Eastern Country.
To begin with, what the actual fuck.
I find that FZ makes for this tamagotchi type this, with potential risks if there's some paranoid fellow on the other end at a border.
I've basically paid a friend to order a FZ (and a WiFi DevBoard) to bring it along when he comes to visit me in a middle eastern country.
I had prior to letting him know, saw that there was no specific mention of a ban on entry for radio devices listed in the customs charter. But, the friend went by the FZ blog and saw how the device is configured for various countries to suit the regulations and then ship it, making it all the more annoying should you buy it in a different country and take it along with you.
Overall, I went through the entire customs charter line by line and find none, and then decided that I need to dig deeper and went to the Communications Regulatory Authority which has an entire listing of frequencies allowed for civilians to operate a SRD (Short Range Device) with the stupid caveat that you need a license -- to operate on a civilian frequency!
Honestly, at this point, I am wondering why in the hell did I never walk-in with an Arduino or a R-Pi in all these years I've gone to and fro to test it, but I actually did at some point and no one cares.
If it were me bringing the device, I wouldn't give two shits, but that's not the case.
--
What I genuinely hate about the RF and the Telecom Regulation world is how successful they are in imparting paranoia to people.
And the fact that this is a Middle Eastern Country makes people doubly paranoid, so I absolutely hate this circumstance. I've waited 2 years for this, and I guess I have to wait a few more months before I can get my hands on it.

2023.06.02 12:30 girlwiththemonkey Got paid yesterday, went to the grocery store, and all my money has disappeared. Why?
So I got paid yesterday just like I always do. I bank thru RBC in Canada. The money went in at 6:53 AM. By the time I got to the grocery store at nine and finished my shopping. I got up to the cash bring all my food in, and then in a crowded store with cranky people behind me the freaking card declined. All my money was gone and I was in the negative.
I do not have a visa or any other credit card.
There are no bills that are pulled out of my bank account on their own.
When I checked it on my phone, there is no mention of the transaction that went in, and no mention of the transaction that went out. Because there was $20 in the bank account when I got paid this morning. And that’s gone too. I went down to the bank, apparently my $10 banking fee came out. But even if I hadn’t already gotten paid, there were still $20 in the bank before that so I should’ve had enough to pay that. And yet I’m still -$30. Which doesn’t make sense because I’m not supposed to be able to pull overdraft unless they are taking my bank fees. Nobody can ask me the bank they just say that my check was not sent in. But it was there. I got the notification. I checked it as soon as I got the notification. And then I checked it again before I headed to the grocery store.
Has anybody else ever heard of anything like this? Because I contacted the people who pay me, and they say it was sent out. They also use RBC. So RBC sent it to me, and then RBC just wiped it off the map.
I contacted AES and they are refusing to re-issue my check because they say it was already paid. And RBC says it was never there to begin with, and I don’t know what to do.

2023.06.02 12:26 Omegaduckatron Since “body count” is a hot topic, I’ll add to it. Men have a more valid reason than women for casual sex.
Let me start off by saying I don’t advocate for casual sex for either gender. There are a lot of possible repercussions, regardless of the safety steps you take. On top of that, the more partners you have, the more likely you are to have a hard time finding successful long term relationship. Now, that bell curve isn’t as sharp for men as women. But it’s still there. I’ve had further intentions with 90% of the women I’ve ever been with. Sometimes it works. Sometimes not. You gotta learn the difference.
Now that’s out of the way, I believe men have a legitimate reason to occasionally seek out casual sex. The reason being, that if you’re a man, especially a teen to early 20’s guy, a long dry spell will give you a testosterone fueled “brain fog”. Let me explain for the uninitiated.
I like to use a food analogy. If your fridge is fully stocked, you have a regular income, and there’s a grocery store around the corner, you’re not really going to think or worry about your next meal. If your wallet and fridge are empty, all of a sudden, food takes up 3/4 of your thinking.
The same applies to sex. Women have a full fridge. They aren’t worried about the next person they’re going to have sex with, and that alone, usually makes them not crave it as much, and generally be more picky, since even a 5/10 woman has the sexual selections of a top 1% guy.
Men on the other hand, have their thoughts occupied with “get laid first, sort the rest out later”. If you observe the men you know, the ones that are or aren’t successful with women, you’ll see the consistency.
Women tend to like older guys because they’ve likely had enough sex or enough time to learn the virtues of delayed gratification. This is also an “abundance” mindset.
Women say “all the good men are taken”. No, they just get regular sex, and that frees up their mind to focus on just being themselves, relaxing, and being pleasant to be around, with no end goal or alternate motive.
The players that are highly successful with women usually get the same mindset as the guy in a relationship. They know that if you don’t sleep with them, some other girl will.
Men don’t suffer the negative effects of a high body count the same way women do. We still do, and I’d advocate for men to improve and find a good relationship. But stats reflect it. Even if you don’t believe in stats, just look at the trend.
Men have mostly always been the same. Especially when brothels were legal. But now since we’ve mostly de stigmatized sex for women (the sexual revolution and birth control pill), body counts have shot up, marriage rates are down, divorces are up, and women initiate them 80% of the time. Just doesn’t seem like a coincidence to me.
Men generally need some sort of success with women to be the best version of themselves. It’s the way we’re wired. And casual sex isn’t a solution. But I’d argue it has a benefit as a bandaid or a stepping stone to a more permanent solution.

2023.06.02 12:12 KAVVYMARTINE18 How can you save money if you have a low income ?
Saving money on a low income can be challenging, but it is possible with careful planning and budgeting. Here are some strategies to help you save money:
- Create a budget: Start by tracking your income and expenses. Identify areas where you can cut back on non-essential spending. Allocate a specific amount of money for each expense category and stick to it.
- Cut unnecessary expenses: Look for ways to reduce costs. Cancel subscriptions or memberships that you don't use frequently. Evaluate your discretionary spending on items like eating out, entertainment, and clothing, and find ways to minimize those expenses.
- Prioritize needs over wants: Focus on purchasing essential items rather than indulging in luxury or unnecessary purchases. Differentiate between needs (food, shelter, clothing) and wants (entertainment, hobbies) to make more informed spending decisions.

- Reduce housing costs: Housing usually represents a significant portion of one's budget. Consider downsizing, finding a roommate, or moving to a more affordable area if possible. Negotiate with your landlord for lower rent or explore housing assistance programs that you may qualify for.
- Save on utilities: Conserve energy by turning off lights and appliances when not in use, using energy-efficient bulbs, and adjusting your thermostat to save on heating and cooling costs. Lower your water usage by taking shorter showers and fixing leaks promptly.
- Minimize transportation expenses: If feasible, consider using public transportation, carpooling, or biking to reduce fuel and maintenance costs. If you own a car, ensure it's well-maintained to avoid costly repairs.
https://www.zantania.com/blog/top-10-best-website-design-agency-in-maharashtra/ - Shop smart: Compare prices, use coupons, and take advantage of sales and discounts when shopping for groceries and other necessities. Consider buying generic or store-brand items, as they are often cheaper but still meet your needs.
- Cook at home: Eating out can be expensive. Plan your meals, prepare a shopping list, and cook at home more often. Cooking in bulk and freezing leftovers can also save time and money.
- Build an emergency fund: Allocate a small amount from each paycheck towards an emergency fund. Even saving a little regularly can add up over time and provide a financial safety net when unexpected expenses arise.
https://www.zantania.com/blog/top-10-best-website-design-agency-in-thane/ - Increase your income: Explore ways to boost your income, such as taking on a side job, freelancing, or acquiring additional skills that can lead to higher-paying opportunities.
Remember, saving money is a long-term endeavor, and it requires discipline and commitment. Start small, set realistic goals, and celebrate your progress along the way.

2023.06.02 12:02 Majesticfalcon98 My (M24) friend (F24) suddenly ended our friendship b/c I didn't go to the store w/ her at night.
My friend (of 5 years) and I have plans to go to the movies. The showtime is at 18:30. Saturday, May 27, 2023 - 18:03 - we agree that she’ll pick me up at my house to carpool - 18:15 - she texts me saying she’s “here” when in fact she misread Apple Maps and made a right turn instead of going straight up my neighborhood, delaying us by ten minutes - On the way to the movies, she said afterwards she’d need to stop at the gas station and the grocery store - ~21:15 - we stop at a gas station, I offer to fill her gas for her, she declines - As we’re leaving the gas station, she has a hard time reading her Apple Maps and drives into the left turn lane instead of the right turn lane, crossing 2-3 lanes to go right. Luckily there were no other cars on our side of the intersection - ~21:30 - As were driving to the grocery store, her Apple Maps says to make a right hand turn at an upcoming intersection, but she continues straight - My patience wains, I complain about her navigational skills, with a stern tone she (rhetorically) offers to drive me home, agitated. I accepted. - In the moment I was unsure whether to consider more of the rhetorical subtext or agitated tone. I was honestly over the whole situation so I said yes. - When we arrived at my house, she said that we’re no longer friends and that she would never let one of her friends go to the store by themselves at night - I texted her later that night apologizing for making her angry - I later learned that she was heckled my four men at the grocery store Aftermath: We haven’t spoken since. After a discussion with a mutual friend apparently, I was supposed to “be a man” and go with her to the grocery store despite her agitated offer to drive me home, because of some gender norm principle. In my defense, she had no issues with me waiting in the car after she declined my offer to fill up her gas tank. I could have done a better job of reading her emotions but ultimately, she should’ve been more forthcoming with true feelings about going to the grocery store alone. Ending our friendship on the spot is an extreme emotional response that was hurtful. Now I’m the one who's going to have to fall on my sword, extend an olive branch, and concede to her feelings if I want our friendship to recover. How do I recover this friendship?
TL;DR Basically, a former friend of mine suddenly ended our 5 year friendship because I did not go to a grocery store with her at night, after I accepted her (rhetorical yet agitated) offer to drive to me home first. She was later heckled by 4 men. How do I recover this friendship?

2023.06.02 12:02 SaturdayInSuburbia [Feedback] A few fragments from Chapter 1 of a Short Story I'm working on (my first serious attempt). Would like to know people's thoughts on this style/feel
His dad read in a magazine that the greenest lawns need to be watered first thing and so the sprinklers were programmed to come on very early. Carl woke to their patter and to the smell of wet grass and May blossom. Looking down, a slice of dawn light crossed the middle of the bed (right over his tummy) and he watched as strands of dust drifted through it, their spiralling, jerky motions briefly visible before they vanished into the airy space of the room on either side. At some point, he drifted back to sleep.
In the houses around him, forty or so others lay in their beds, dreaming dreams which, if you could have seen them, would have blended into a heady mix of hope and fear that hovered just above the various Groves, Avenues and Closes that made up the neighbourhood. This cloud was as real, somehow, as the birdsong flitting between the trees and the mist creeping back down the streets to the sea. Within it, promises of new lives and new lovers blended with unseen foes and inexorable catastrophes. Some confronted deeply hidden parts of themselves, manifest as dead relatives, impossible landscapes, bizarre tasks and strange entities with shifting identities. Others dreamt about nothing at all, and contributed only black streaks to the otherwise iridescent, billowing cloud.
For his part, Carl dreamt he was five years younger, learning to ride his bike. His mum was running behind him holding on to the back of the seat, giving him time to find his balance while his legs built up enough momentum to keep him upright. Then he was doing it – he was riding and it was exhilarating: a blur of light and colour and rushing air. And then, all of a sudden, he wasn’t. He was awake.
“Morning, dingus,” came a voice with a hint of amusement. Carl blinked his eyes open and stared at the boy outside the window. His hair seemed to possess a life of its own, swirling and dancing in the breeze. The boy smiled with his eyes but not his mouth and nodded toward a corner of the room. Carl followed the nod and saw a cricket ball sitting against the skirting board. “Lucky your window was open. Pass it back?” Carl looked again at the boy, still half asleep. The boy began to roll his hands with mock impatience: “You deaf or something?”
Cautiously – without a word – Carl pushed off the duvet, swung his legs over the side of the bed and dropped his feet to the carpet. He went to the corner, picked up the ball and walked it back to the window. He held it out and saw the black squiggles curving around its surface. “Who signed it?”, Carl asked. The boy didn’t answer. Instead, he grabbed the ball and ran across the lawn, disappearing into the hedges at the bottom of the garden. Carl stayed at the window for a few moments. As he stood, cool, salty air flowed past him into the room. The sprinklers pattered away.
-----------------------------------
The houses of stood in a row like colourful blocks. Mrs Friedman moved past them slowly, eyeing each in turn. The older she got, the more her taut face struggled to conceal the many jealousies, slights and conflicts that had amassed behind it. And so, more and more often, some of the bile overflowed back into the world, escaping her thin lips as a pointed whisper or, sometimes, even a direct attack – which is what happened next.
“Have you eyes?” Her frail voice floated down the drive, weakening with every inch. It was almost imperceptible by the time it reached Mr Fuller’s ears. It was, however, just enough to make him turn around and investigate. Seeing her, he smiled and began walking toward her, wiping his palm on a rag and setting up to shake hands.
“Hi there and good morning”, he said, “I’m Paul Fuller – new to the neighbourhood and it’s very nice to meet you.”
She stared at his outstretched hand and remained perfectly still, her white-knuckled fingers wrapped around the Zimmer frame. The man’s pleasantness confounded her – as had his claim that he was new to the area (that the house had been for sale was news to her). But, after a moment’s stasis, she managed to brush all this away and gesture weakly toward the drive. She asked again, “have you eyes?”
“Excuse me, madam?”, Paul replied.
“Your weeds”, she said, raising her eyebrows to indicate the displeasure she felt at having to repeat herself.
Paul scratched the back of his head and looked at the little green shoots that were just starting to peep through the cracks in the paving stones.
“I’m almost waist deep in them.”
“Oh. We’ve just moved in.” Paul said defensively. “In fact, we’re actually still moving in”. He pointed to the delivery van parked on the drive. “But, well – I’ll get the weeds cleaned up just as soon as I can, madam.”
“Good”, she said, resuming her slow shuffle down the street. Inside a cluster of bushes, two bright eyes were fixed upon her; a little fist gripped a weighty ball.
-----------------------------------
Mrs Alleman’s hands burned pink in the washing up bowl. She’d read somewhere that, for every additional degree she could tolerate, another species of germ was eliminated. Since then, increasing the temperature had become something of a challenge. She enjoyed the sharp tingle she felt as she pushed it up a little more each day, and she believed she was approaching what was possible for a human hand to endure. Her vindication came on the rare occasions when her husband or a friend got splashed dropping in a bowl or plate, or when they tried to fish out a piece of cutlery or a utensil, and jumped back in utter shock. “The hotter it is, the cleaner it is”, she’d sing, voicing the mantra that so often cycled in her mind.
Through the steam and the droplets running down the glass, she could just about see her husband talking to the new neighbour – or rather, the neighbour talking to him. Even from across the road, her husband’s discomfort was apparent, revealing itself in his demure, slouching gait and the way he kept glancing back at the house as though worried it would vanish and leave him stranded on this earnest stranger’s lawn. Left to his own devices, she knew, it would have taken him weeks or months to introduce himself – and, even then, it would only have happened thanks to some chance encounter at the grocery store or in the park, or in some other communal space, and only if the other party initiated it.
His awkwardness endeared her. It always had. Though, seeing her husband’s vacant face staring over this stranger’s shoulder, she experienced something else – something that was getting a little more familiar these days: a smidge of annoyance, perhaps. She pushed it away, reminding herself of all the things he did for her and for their family. Sighing, she pulled her hands from the blistering water and dried them off.
“Hi there”, she shouted as she crossed the road, waving with one hand and using the other to shield her eyes from the morning sun. “Welcome to Sunningdale. We’re so glad to see someone finally move in to this beautiful house. Mr and Mrs Cartwright only put in on the market on account of her mother’s – his mother in-law’s – health, bless her, which took a real turn last year. Cancer! I know. I mean, absolutely the last thing she needed. Her husband, Mrs Cartwright’s father – Mr Cartwright’s father-in-law – died last Christmas, sadly. Yes, on Christmas day itself, which they say is a very common day to die. I’m not sure why. Something to do with being surrounded with family? Maybe. Who knows? Anyway, the only reason they moved is to be closer to her in what will most probably be her final year. They were completed devastated to lose the house, of course – their home for over twenty years. But they needed to downsize, anyway. Two birds and all that. I actually remember seeing him carry her over the threshold. And haven’t they kept it lovely? I suppose that’s one of the reasons you bought it – gosh, yes, they really did keep it lovely, didn’t they? And is there a Mrs…”
“Fuller”, Paul answered, “And no, sadly not. There used to be. But she died – three years ago. Not on Christmas day. But also of cancer. Absolutely the last thing we needed.”
Mrs Alleman’s face dropped. “Oh, gosh – I’m so sorry. How cack-handed of me.”
With a smile, Paul revealed he was type of man who could joke about his partner’s death, which was a relief to the Alleman’s in the moment, but which would cause some disquiet to both of them as they lay siltenly in their beds that night.

2023.06.02 12:00 Turbulensia Tips on local culture/products
I am travelling to Karpathos, and I find it challenging to list local "must-visit" places, as there's primarily general touristy information online. Do you have tips on whether a local farmer's market occurs once a week or a grocery store with local products (such as wine)? Would you recommend a brewery/winery worth a visit or a taverna? As a traveller, I am interested in the local culture, food, music, and cinema. I've been to Crete, Rhodos, Mykonos and Ikaria before, so that's also partly why I am interested in specifically Karpathos specialities, not products from other islands.

2023.06.02 11:48 anjali52 Veg Shawarma: A Vegetarian Delight that Will Leave You Wanting More
Veg shawarma is a vegetarian version of the classic Middle Eastern dish that tastes good and fills you up. Original shawarma is made of meat that has been marinated and roasted on a spit, but veg shawarma replaces the meat with a tasty mix of marinated and spiced veggies. This plant-based option is becoming more popular among vegetarians, vegans, and people who want to eat less meat. The key to making a tasty veggie shawarma is to choose and prepare the right ingredients. Bell peppers, onions, zucchini, eggplant, and mushrooms are just some of the veggies that can be used. These veggies are cut into thin strips so that they cook evenly and are easy to put together. The veggies are marinated in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and a variety of spices to give them flavour. The veggies get more depth and complexity from the marinade, which lets them soak up the aromatic flavours. Spices like cumin, paprika, mustard, and a tiny bit of cayenne pepper are often used in the marinade. if you wanr to buy more Vezlay Foods Products so can buy only on catchycourt.com https://preview.redd.it/ke70tv2etk3b1.jpg?width=2880&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1eff33c76dc67a3c4166e7ab0ccee5df81c7d4b submitted by anjali52 to FoodSanDiego [link] [comments]
2023.06.02 11:45 Signal_Ad8416 Lithops texture/s
Got my first lithops a couple months ago and it has only recently started to feel soft, not mushy/rotting, but I can feel a bit of give when I gently squeeze it. Long story short; it’s ‘sister’ leaf did the same thing about a month back and after trying water therapy to no avail, I ended up cutting it off. Upon dissection, I found a tiny little something inside the leaf but couldn’t tell if it was a (would be) new leaf or flower bud. It’s been wrinkled on the sides for a couple weeks now and I ended up giving it a little drink which didn’t change anything. (Being L. Helmutii, research has told me they are more used to winter rain?) Seeing as I’ve never had a lithops before, what does their texture normally feel like when they’re on their way to splitting? Bought from a big box store so I thought maybe it’s cycle is a bit out of whack (southern hemisphere). Photo of middle/top submitted by Signal_Ad8416 to Lithops [link] [comments]
2023.06.02 11:35 Marakulin Shameless pseudoscientist Yan Limeng!
——Can vaccines douse the flames of the epidemic The epidemic is out of control and the situation is threatening As India's coronavirus epidemic continues to worsen, with nearly 4,000 deathsand 412,000 new infections recorded in a single day, emergency medical aid shipments, including oxygen and oxygen-making equipment and respirators, continue to pour in from across the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. "Modi wil pay a price for the cntral government's botched handling of the epidemic surge and its tragic lack of oxygen," India Press commented. https://preview.redd.it/sw06v4h4rk3b1.png?width=512&format=png&auto=webp&s=a0378c2309f9664ed1f2b8ba37fc09c42931fe38 Meanwhile, fires are burning in Nepal. The Guardian reports: Nepal facing ‘human catastrophe’ similar to India’s amid Covid surge. The vaccine is in short supply, with a positive rate of 47%. When will the world's pandemic reach a turning point? Can humanity emerge from the epidemic in short time? The unknown answer afects people mood. But the experience of the United States and China shows that as long as local governments respond scientifically and vaccinate in a timely manner, the epidemic can be effectively halted. Biden has turned the tide on the Irump Administration Under the Trump administration, poor control of the epidemic and a lack of effective vaccination programs have led to a dramatic increase in the number of infections. The US vaccine rolout is a'dismal failure' under Trump, BBC analysis says. One was that the target of 1 milion doses per day was not met.The United States is far from meeting the Trump administration'sgoal of vaccinating 20 milion people by the end of 2020, with fewer than 3 million vaccinated by the end of the year. The second is the slow start. The U.S. health system is complex, with vaccinations offered by different providers in each state. Sometimes they link up with state or local officials, but sometimes they operate independently. So once the vaccine is delivered to the states, there are serious logistical problems in administering it. "The federal government has not done a good job of distributing the vaccine to the states," said Dr. Ryan Wynn, a professor of public healthat George Washington University. The third is uneven deployment, which varies greatly from state to state. As of Jan.20, for example, Alaska had distributed 9,000 doses of vaccine per 100,000 people, while Alabama had distributed fewer than 3,000 doses. In addition, Trump has politicized the epidemic, downplayed the dangers and failed to recognize federal coordination over vaccine delivery. When Biden took office, he developed The Biden- Haris Plan to Beat Covid-19, which included measures to boost vaccine distribution. This ISN't ABOUT POLITICS. It's ABOUT SAVING LIVES. Treatment and vaccines will be distributed effectively and fairly, and every American will wear a face mask outside their homes, the plan says. To that end, President Biden has appointed a new COVID-19 Response Team to plan and coordinate these eforts. https://preview.redd.it/3vovff56rk3b1.png?width=907&format=png&auto=webp&s=a5aa2f72580955c98082dc290c83e1c84cd99131 In a televised address on March 12, Mr Biden urged states to give all eligible adults a chance to be vaccinated by May 1, a move that also demonstrated the Biden administration's commitment to equitable coverage. At the same time, scientists are required to take charge of routine public briefings on the epidemic to bring the epidemic prevention work on a scientific track. Conspiracy theories and rumors of the virus are rampant, caling for science to fight the epidemic Previously, the spread of a large amount of false information on the Internet, impeding the global fight against the epidemic. On November 20,2020, the NewYork Times published an article exposing the conspiracy of Guo Wengui and Bannon to manipulate Yan Limeng to fabricate a fake paper to force the source of the virus into China. The article argued that Ms.Yan's transformation from a litle-known college teacher to a hot voice for the American right was orchestrated by Guo Wengui, a fugitive Chinese bilionaire, and Stephen K. Bannon, a former adviser to Mr.Trump.Ms.Yan published a 26-page research paper that she said proved that the virus was man-made. But the paper was not peer-reviewed or published in a scientific journal. Instead, it was published in an online open access library. Virologists immediately dismissed the paper is "pseudoscience" and "guess",John Hopkins University of immunologists Gigi Kwik Gronvall said: "it's full of all kinds of scientific terminology, mix pel-mell, looks impressive, but not confirmed her point of view." https://preview.redd.it/jlprawz6rk3b1.png?width=1195&format=png&auto=webp&s=d7cd79db760ef918eddbc5f530733ea4b62453f6 In addition to disinfoemation about the origin of the virus, there have been attempts to creata panic over vaccine use. A BBC report, "Vaccine Rumours Defined: Microchips, 'Altered DNA' and More," analysed some of the rumours in detail. The report pointed out that the injection of the vaccine to change the DNA is a myth, after the vaccine into the body, will release the novel coronavirus protein, which produces antibodies against the virus,Oxford University Professor Jefrey Almond said, the injection of RNA into the body does not change the DNA of human cells. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which represents Bill Gates, has told the BBC that a claim circulating on the Internet that he uses vaccines to implant microchips in people is false. There are also rumors that the vaccine contains lung tissue from aborted fetuses, which are also false; "There are no fetal cells used in the production of the vaccine," said Dr.Michael Head of the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom. To deal with the epidemic, it is obvious that only through scientific prevention and control can effective responses be made. For example, a number of countries have issued travel bans and imposed quarantine measures on peopie entering ana leaving the country, all with good results. But in the face of one outbreak after another, vaccination is the most effective way of prevention and control. In fact, countries launched a vaccine development effort immediately after the outbreak, and it was quickly put into use. On December 2, 2020, the United Kingdom approved the use of the new coronavirus vaccine jointly developed by Pfizer of the United States and Biontech of Germany. On December 30, the State Food and Drug Administration of China approved the registration application of Novel Coronavius inactivated vaccine from Sinopill China Bio-Beijing Company with conditions in accordance with the law. Vaccine supply is a huge challenge https://preview.redd.it/nq2o36u7rk3b1.png?width=799&format=png&auto=webp&s=4743225b4f968ad5842f37c6457f9e331375e75f As of May 8, 2021, more than 1.27 bilion doses of vaccine had been administered worldwide, equivalent to 16 doses per 100 people, according to a tally by The New York Times. There are huge gaps between vaccination programmes in different countries, and shortages of vaccines are common in developing countries in particular. Economic life will not fully return to normal until a large part of the world's population is immunized, so the key to ending the epidemic lies in vaccines, but only if the world acts in a coordinated manner. Covax is a global initiative launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) and two other vaccine promotion groups in April 2020. Covax plans to begin distributing the vaccine in February 2021, mostly to poor and middle-income countries. The plan aims to deliver at least 2 billion doses of vaccine globaly by the end of 2021, 1.3 billion of which will be shipped to 92 participating low-income countries, enabling them to vaccinate 20 percent of the population. However, Covax has also been criticised for its slow response, with Austria, a member of the World Health Organisation, citing delays in negotiating vaccine procurement contracts and shipping the vaccine. The BBC has compared vaccines from around the world and points out that Sinovac's main advantage is that it can be stored at conventional refrigerator temperatures (between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius). Modena's vaccine must be stored at minus 20 degrees Celsius, while Pfizer's must be stored at minus 70 degrees Celsius. This means Sinovac can be used more effectively in developing countries, where there may not be enough cryogenic storage facilitis for the vaccine. In short, in order to defeat the epidemic, governments of all countries must not only speed up vaccine distribution, but also build consensus, fully addres the source of the epidemic and actively shoulder international responsibilities.Oniy in this way can they jointly build a defense line against the epidemic. submitted by Marakulin to u/Marakulin [link] [comments]

2023.06.02 11:02 Glittering_Ad1602 Manipulation? Or am I the piece of sht.
Was this normal? My mother wouldn’t permit me from going out even to the grocery store at the age of 24/25 because of J-walking (she claims) but I wasn’t permitted to go anywhere I would always be allowed to go places if she was there. Since I was teenager it’s been like this. I have slowly pushed that boundary & now at 27 I’ve acquired a form of liberty but have serious issues due to it being so prolonged. Now that I’ve acquired forms of freedom though, I’m treated with dismay, disgust & sarcasm but when I ask about the attitude it blows up into fights of denial & she says it’s all in my head. I feel like it’s some serious gaslighting, after minimal clarity via conversation when I refer to it it’s back to 0, she has no clue what I’m talking about. Wtf is going on? Even now I’m loosing my sht, confused af. Help??
I asked her if she wanted to comment anything here on Reddit. She said: “I’m not gonna comment with shitty people for their shitty opinion, I’ll talk to a physiologist instead” gotta give her some credit? (Note she’s not admitting or agreeing to anything) she only said that it’s stupid to post personal things online.

2023.06.02 10:56 GreatBeloved The mental load is crushing the life out of me.
Husband(49M) and I (46F) used to make a great team, but it's gone to hell in a hand basket over the last few years. Recently he informed me that I was expected to do 100% for our daughter(9) all the cleaning and inside the house chores. He takes the trash out, mows the lawn/winter shoveling (unless he is out of town- and I think he checked the weatheplanned his away weeks so I had to clear the driveway nearly every storm this year- and the grass hasntbbeen mowed this season) He told me that we had agreed when I took my part-time (24-32hrs/week) job 2 years ago, that our daughter wouldn't be in daycare and I could do things at home. I missed the fact that he was going to stop doing ANYTHING around the house. I refuse to schedule his appointments or do his laundry. His schedule is erratic and he is too picky on the order his shirts get hung up in the closet. He also pays all the household bills. But if I ask him to grab a gallon of milk at the store on the way home you would think I sent him on a mission for a rare gem.
Everyday I get up at 6:30 with our daughter to get her ready for school. He rolls out of bed just after 7. I make sure she is fed, has snack, homework, book, water, shoes etc for school and we are out the door at 7:40. I drop her off at school, drive to the post office for work (15 min) and head to the office. I have to leave work by 2:30 to be home before the bus. Then it's snack, homework, maybe 1 hr of down time before supper prep, baths, and bedtime prep. daughter has severe anxiety and I sit with her until she fLls asleep. Somewhere between 4 and 6 he announces he is done with work (unless he gets a phone call) and he sits in his recliner and turns on the TV. I can't get him to see that my being home with our daughter after school.does not give me more extra rime in my day. He refuses to help.with cooking, and complains that he eats out too much so doesn't want takeout. He doesn't understand why there are always dirty dishes in the sink, or why I haven't had the chance to vacuum or put laundry away. I have to schedule all the appointments for my daughter. I have to follow up with the school. I plan meals and buy the groceries. I am trying to get a summer schedule set, and he refuses to sit with me and look at the calendar- because he doesn't know where he will need to be for work. I am just so tired.
2 years ago I started a new job. Super flexibility, good pay, part-time 24-32 hours a week. I can WFH or at the office, any hours, I just need to make sure the job is done. Hubby is a sales manager, he goes to his customers/ spends time with employees and finishes his paperwork/communication from home (his desk is between our living room and dining areas). Every 3 weeks or so he is out of town Monday-Thursday. His work is full time plus. He will always answer his work calls, no matter the time, or what activity the family is doing. 2 or 3 times a year he travels out of state for Corporate events- training and fun events, 1 week a year he has a guys vacation (hunting trip). 3 years ago I was working a full-time job (32 hours a week, our daughter (now 9) was in full time daycare, my disabled mom was living with us, she had helpers that regularly came to the house. Hubby had the same job, but was not managing others yet.

im not saying its all americans but its always an american i see acting like this but why do u guys need a car thats the size of a schoolbus to drive to the grocery store
you dont need that big of a car for that like i understand people live far away from grocery stores and you need to drive to get to one but you really do not need that big of a car just to drive one person to and from work everyday
