As a man, I'm curious because I've never been in a FWB type relationship and wouldn't mind having one.
I know there are lots of ways but, for me personally it seems like the best and "easiest" way is to literally befriend a woman irl with whom there is mutual sexual attraction, and take it from there. Yeah sure, there is Tinder and dating apps but, most men on Tinder ARE looking for sex/ONS/FWB's so unless you are super attractive and physically really stand out, most women aren't going to go for an average joe or even an above average guy for sex. Which, is fair enough. I would as well if I was a woman looking for sex.
Problem is for me is that I work from home and my only "social" activity is frequenting a local restaurant bar. Tinder is super hit or miss for me so I don't have much hope of finding anyone there.

How. Just fucking how.
Last Sunday (May 28), I decided to quit my summer job because part of me felt that all too familiar pit beginning to form in my stomach. I knew it was going to be the right choice because I had been dealing with suicidal ideations for the past 7-8 months. Sunday morning I had officially quit and began my 5-hour drive back to my parents' house. At about the 4-hour mark, I got a call from my mom to tell me that my family dog (that I had spent the past 12 years with and basically grew up with) had a seizure. Ten minutes from my parents' house, my fucking bumper fell off my car. I am a car guy and have an alright SUV with an ok offroad rig. I also had a steel bumper that managed to vibrate the only bolt out of the frame. The bumper fell off and I got lucky (for once) that I pulled over and stopped before my bumper got pulled under the car and fucked more things up. Can’t replace and can’t repair. I got home and unpacked my shit and went to bed hoping to start tomorrow with improvement.
Boy was I fucking wrong
At around 11 am on Monday, my family and I made a trip to the emergency animal hospital because my dog had a second seizure. This one was different, she seemed very out of sorts and even compared to the previous seizure, she was worse. At around noon, I held my dog one last time as the dog I knew and loved for all those years became a memory. I cried more than I ever had in my 20 years on this planet. Thanks to substance use being my only coping mechanism, I buried the feelings and kept going. I don’t remember Tuesday. It was alot of sitting and trying to ignore the dog bed in the corner.
Wednesday was much of the same until that night. I have been/was/am an emotional wreck. It can’t get any worse, right? Life said fuck you and shot my other leg off. My girlfriend and I broke up/changed the label. It happened because my (ex?) gf needed to distance herself from being emotional support to support herself. I wholeheartedly blame myself and I can’t even find a reason that it isn’t my own (I have no idea which mental issue that’s from). We were quite literally one hour shy of 15 months. It ended very amicably so it hurts so much more but the only positive is that there is a chance of us getting back together. It is probably a high chance if I think it's low or a low chance if I think it's high. Regardless, I fell further to a point of apathy and other numbness. So I smoked some more and went to bed.
Wednesday I got invited to drink with my buddy at a celebration I won’t get into for privacy (yeah I'm starting now) so I left Thursday. My emotions and alcohol mix quite well in my personal opinion. I drink and I forget. I don’t remember most of that night. I left Saturday (6/3) hoping to get home. I dissociated too hard or I stopped caring but I got pulled over speeding in a county 2ish hours away. Mind you, I am unemployed and a dead-broke college student with barely enough to even pay the fines. Sadly the fine is all I can cover because I wouldn’t have gas money if you catch my meaning.
This isn’t some elaborate setup for a punchline but here we are. My two possible ones are either “I quite literally have 0 bitches now (I’m not calling my gf a bitch, I still care about her)” or “I’m living life like a country song: unemployed, girlfriend just split, my dog is dead, broke and drinking/smoking to be sane.”

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can you do?

1. Complain. Message the mods of reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
   
2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at ModCoord - but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
   
3. Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
   
4. Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.
   

The above is copied from other subreddits, we are on the list of subs that will be going dark until the issue is adequately addressed. I know this is a car subreddit, and we all come for cars but at the end of the day we provide the content for the platform not the other way around.

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 7 years. We are both in our 30s. Our relationship is very fulfilling save for the fact that the majority of the time I need to let him know that he did something to upset me, he starts an argument instead of making up or having a constructive conversation. Every minor hiccup turns into a volcano tantrum of emotions.
A few years ago I began to see this for what it is and stopped taking the bait. Now that I no longer take the bait into a fight, he goes into a rage and throws a tantrum, refusing to calm down. I'm not totally conflict avoidant, but it drives me insane to argue for argument sake. My boyfriend comes from an extremely toxic family that are always combative towards one another, so I understand where this behavior comes from and I have some level of patience with it. He attends therapy and seems to benefit from it a lot, yet still fights for his right to throw tantrums to deflect from a situation at hand and shut it down. Whenever he does this I remain calm and remind him I love him, I understand him and why he can be this way, I accept him for who he is and want to work with him to overcome this, and the whole time I am showing him compassion and asking him to please calm down, he just gets more and more and more worked up. It really feels like he is angry that I won't feed into the drama.
I'm curious to hear from those of you who are in or have been in long term relationships with someone like this. Did this behavior ever change or at least diminish? Did it become a reason you separated? If you are also dealing with this currently, how do you cope? This is my first time in a relationship with someone who has these issues. I'm doing everything I can to be patient, but these experiences really drive a wedge between us. Sometimes it feels like he wants it that way despite he says otherwise. I do not need to be unhappy to be happy. I do not need drama to feel close to someone. The cycle of pointless-fight-and-make-up is so old to me it doesn't even effect me anymore in the moment. I'm starting to wonder to myself how long this relationship could last if this doesn't change. I really want our relationship to work, but how on earth are we supposed to make it work if one person wants to converse about relationship issues and the other just wants to rage?

Until recently it occurred to me that this is the only active aram community in the west (as far is I know). I have been playing aram and browsing this sub for quite some time now . I have only dived into the rabbit hole of Chinese aram culture recently when I was doing research on LPL . I figure some of you may be interested in how Chinese players play Arams, so I decided to share some interesting finds and I am happy to be corrected. (Note: I will generalize things such as English speaking aram bros as "the west" just for the sake of simplicity)

1. Popularity Same as the west, aram is getting more and more popular. Most of the playerbase are getting older, and not being able to keep up with metas and investing hours into the games. Increasingly more players would rather play arams. Therefore, the content creation scene of Aram is thriving. There are a lot more serious and aram focused videos compare to the west, such as Champion tier list, Item optimization, troll builds, bugs and op strats etc.
   
2. Winrate Teams The popularity of aram is at all time high, however many servers are plagued by premade players called "winrate team, 胜率队". These players, often with >90% winrate will have 4 to 5 premades and queue against normal players. Since these games are not enjoyable at all, some normal players will afk and surrender after spawning in-game. They use a tool called Wegame to check their opponents' winrate. A lot of high ranking players cannot win against winrate teams, causing them to form a winrate teams as well.
   
3. Pushback Aram players are very vocal against winrate-premade teams for ruining aram. People will post videos of them winning against winrate teams and pride themselves for breaking their winstreak. A small amount of players even became vigilantes, and began hunting the winrate teams. These players will [email protected] mins if they face normal players, and tryhard to win against winrate-premades. (Tbf I don't think this is very common thing)
   
4. Who are these winrate teams? A group of aram veterans that want to make a name for themselves and enjoy stomping others. They often compete with other teams for higher winrate. There are even aram tournaments held for winrate-premades. A lot of them are also provide aram boosting service. Player can pay to be in a member of the premade. There are also players who pay the winrate teams to grind for the aram achievements for their accounts. Sometimes 10 players in-game can reach to an agreement and start farming pentas and what not. There are other tricks to farm for achievements.
   
5. How are they so effective? All of them have dozens of accounts, they will dodge in order to get the advantageous comp. The strategy itself is quite simple. A good comp with voice comm will steamroll random players most of the time anyway. They also pick champs that have fast wave clear and that can take towers fast. They like to dive players under tower and adc will hit the tower freely. Coupled with good death timings, they control the pace and rhythms of the game all of the time. Sometimes, they will mess up the death timing of the opponent (deliberately not killing a low health tank etc) in order to have the number advantage all team fights throughout the game.
   
6. Interesting meta? I think the meta overall is very similar to the west as well, abusing aram buffed champs with op builds. There's memey build such as First strike nuke build: AP rengar, AP Udyr etc. The aim is to build night harvester asap by using first strike and treasure hunter. You will start to one shot players and become a menace once you have the items. Some aram analysts seem to think that the game state has returned to pre durability patch. It is better to build for full dmg to burst the enemies. Bruisers should not build defense and they should go full dmg instead, or else they will be moving Heath packs for adcs.
   
7. Trying to crack the code? Same as the west, the player community has noticed the win streak, lose streak phenomenon. There are many theories around this, some claimed to have cracked the algorithm of aram matching making. They claim that not only the system will try to balance your overall net winrate, it will mostly base the winrate from most recent 20 games. Other than winrate, stats such as kda is also taken into account. Theoretically it is better to win with a bad kda. Some also claim the player activeness is also a factor, if the player has not played for a long time, the player will be awarded with more wins.
   

This is all I can think of now. Overall, the players there are very similar to the west, with the exeception of their Aram scene much more popular and active.

I pulled up to the block in my car right as the chaos erupted. Across the park someone started shooting up a high school graduation ceremony. Kids in gowns and their families bolted across the park in all directions while an ocean of cop cars and ambulances flooded the scene. Traffic bottlenecked instantly as people attempted to get out of there any which way, but cops started attempting to control traffic to manage the chaos. I felt like a sitting duck in my car, having no idea where the shooter was, or how many there even were. Just confusion all around me. Seven people shot and thirteen injured. Two dead so far.
When I got out of the fray and eventually made it to my destination, I mentioned to an acquaintance what I had seen. “Oh but it’s the drag queens we have to look out for”, was her internet-mediated, desensitized, antisocial response. I mentioned that I saw cops flood the scene with ARs, to which she responded “better than when they’re used on protesters,” as if that was remotely relevant to anything. Nothing about the fact that a bunch of children were just randomly targeted by a deranged psychopath.
We live in a sick society where NPR talking points take precedent over the fact that kids are dying. Hug your families, fire up the grill, be compassionate. Nobody is living in reality anymore.

State of Missouri
Fiance and I found a place. The place is great but needs some repairs i.e. windows have been painted shut, garage door lift was broken etc. There's a whole list.
The property manager told us we could text him to communicate. Of note, this is not a huge property management company but they do manage several properties in multiple states.
Request for Repairs pt 1.
We stated via text message that we were interested in the property but in order to move forward there were a list of things that needed to be repaired on the property. The property manager advised us that those fixes would be no problem and told us the fixes would take no time. We also requested a longer lease during this conversation and the property manager said it'd be no problem.
We submitted the deposit and the property manager said they'd draw up the lease. But we had to request the lease multiple times. Once we received the lease we read it and realized the property manager was reneging on things he agreed to, the first of which was the lease term. It went from sure we can do a longer lease before we paid our deposit to "we'll give you first priority to renew over other potential tenants after 1 year." Which, is basically how lease renewals work...but thanks?
My fiancé and I decided that this was likely better for us in the end, and didn't push back.
Lawncare Addendum pt. 1 : "You'll pay us for lawncare but you're responsible for lawncare"
We had to follow up multiple times regarding the lease because it was missing things like our pet addendum and also oddly said that we were responsible for lawncare even though they were charging us a lawncare fee. We'd discussed a lawncare fee so we were prepared for it. But, the lease stated we were responsible for lawncare maintenance and we were not prepared for that.
We requested that they change the lease to say that they were responsible for lawncare since we were required to pay them for it. The property manager said he would go back to their legal department and get the change made.
Request for Repairs pt 2.:
While he was going back to get to get the lawncare addendum change made, we followed up about the repairs and the property manger then reiterated that the list of repairs would be complete for a 6/3/23 final walkthrough.
After a couple weeks, we asked the property manager if we could come in to quickly measure rooms because we were getting ready to buy furniture (and take advantage of Memorial Day sales). We got there and nothing had been done to the property, none of the repairs had been made. It was clear that the property would not be ready for the final walk through on 6/3/23 ( 6 days later).
The property manager was there with us, we asked about the repairs and he said they'd could be done by 6/13 so we moved our walk-through date to 6/13.
Lawncare Addendum pt 2.: "This email serves as your lawncare addendum"
Today, after more back and forth, we received an email from that property manager's boss. She stated that the email she was sending us would serve as the lawncare addendum we were requesting. In the email she stated that they were only charging us for lawncare as a "service to us." They would find the vendor and pay the lawncare fee on our behalf, but the lease would still say we were responsible because we could opt out at anytime.
We said fine to the "lawncare addendum" and asked the property manager's boss to confirm the repairs would be made before move in (in 9 days) and she never responded.
Current State
- To date, although this process has been awful everyone has been polite and professional.
- We've saved all the text messages where the property manager agreed to certain terms. We have paid our deposit but still have not signed the lease.
- I'm concerned that they're not going to make the repairs and that leasing from them is going to be a nightmare.
- I'm uncomfortable entering into a lease agreement with them at this point and my fiancé and I have agreed that if they cannot confirm the repairs will be made prior to move in that we will request our deposit back and move on.

Is the property management company entitled to keep our deposit in the state of Missouri
TL:DR We've paid our deposit but haven't signed a lease. What recourse do we have in the State of Missouri?

This story is about the time my JNMIL lost my three year old son, Michael.A Little Background -Michael (3) went to preschool with his best friend, Jacob (3) in the local high school. My MIL also worked at the same school.The Story -It was the day before Thanksgiving, my husband took the day off, and we decided to go Christmas shopping while Michael was at preschool. We had rushed through the store at record speed to find exactly what we needed, flew through the checkout and were on our way to pick up Michael. Unfortunately, traffic was not on our side that morning, and we realized that we were not going to make it for Michael's 11:40 pick-up. My husband called the school, and was transferred to his mom (she was a secretary for one of the administrators). Conversation goes like this;Husband - "Hi Mom, Katie and I are stuck in traffic and won't make to the school in time for Micheal's dismissal. Do you think you could walk over and pick him up? If you can't, we understand, we could just call the classroom and have them hold him..."MIL - "Of course I can pick him up!Husband - "Thanks Mom! If you want we can all go for lunch after"MIL - "That would be great, see you soon"Short, sweet, no one seemed confused about what was needed or expected, and if that was the case, I wouldn't be writing this story...We arrive at the school a few minutes before noon. We go through security and arrive at his mom's office. His mom is on the phone, and gestures for us to come in, and we realize that Michael is not in her office! She hangs up the phone.MIL - "Well, where should we go for lunch?"Husband - "Mom, where is Michael!?!?"MIL - ??? "I wouldn't know!"My husband and I run out of her office and straight to the preschool / Childhood development classroom (literally two doors away). After interrupting the current class, we explain what has happened, and hope that Michael is just waiting for us in his classroom. Unfortunately, he was not. Security was called and they started pulling all the student teachers back to the classroom, to figure out where Micheal was at. While I waited for the students, my husband started driving around the neighborhood to see if Michael decided he would walk home. My MIL, did nothing to help, she stayed in her office.After the student teachers started coming down to the classroom, one tells me that Michael and Jacob were telling everyone that they were going to have a 'sleepover' at Jacob's house, and that when I wasn't in the dropoff/pickup line they thought that maybe the boys were having a sleepover.I immediately call Risa, Jacob's mom. No answer, but I leave a message. Call my husband and tell him Michael is with Risa and Jacob. He comes back to the school. MIL is now asking, why we would allow Michael to sleepover at a friends house the night before Thanksgiving. We ignore her. I continue to call Risa, but no one is answering. Michael has been missing for over an hour at this point.Risa calls back and explains that she was called into work and that her sister picked up Jacob. Risa's says her sister took the boys to McDonald's and they were at Risa's house now.As we were leaving, MIL says, "Hey, I thought we were going out for lunch!"We stopped asking MIL to do anything with our children and Michael has gone extremely low contact with her.Edit - MIL played victim after we blew up at her. Claiming she didn't realize that class was dismissed (I mean bells ring at the end of class, pretty hard to miss). Then when we weren't buying that BS, doubled down with, "I thought you were going to pick him up and take me to lunch!" Then again played victim, "I told all my friends that I was going out to lunch with my son, and now I look bad." The next day, Thanksgiving, we were very cold towards her, and at dinner she just blurts out, "It's all your fault, if you hadn't been late then none of this would have happened!" Then gets up and fake cries. We left right after dinner.

Hi, I’m going into my second year at Western and for my ITR I did Polisci (I was in Bmos before). I’m also an AEO. I had a difficult time in my first year in terms of mental health and that really affected my academics. I had a suicide attempt pretty early on in the year (October) and reached out for help during December. It was my first time ever reaching out for help. I’m grateful that Western has been lenient with academic considerations and I have been getting better. I had a 43 in two classes so I am taking summer school right now and I have to overload next year for another course. I reached out to Ivey around the beginning of the school year and asked if taking summer courses will affect my AEO and chances of getting into Ivey (because the AEO handbook says you can lose it if you fail a course). They said they will take the average of both marks in the calculation of my cumulative average in years 1 and 2. So this made me feel less worried. If I end year 1 with around a 70 average and a high 80 or above 90 average in year 2, what would my chances of getting into Ivey look like? Is it possible to get in considering my failed courses? Also, would it be bad if I were to write about my suicide attempt in first year in the extenuating circumstances part for my AEO report next year? (In terms of EC'S, I have pretty solid EC's and am hoping that it would boost my application for next year)

So as any of you who have been on reddit recently have seen, there has been a lot of criticism of reddit's recent announcement to start charging people to access its API data which has historically been free. This data is used to run all 3rd party apps and with the change in pricing most of those 3rd party apps will shut down. For more info with more detail you can check out this post.
In response many subreddits across the site will be "going dark" starting June 12th. These subs will go private and not allow any new posts while the protest is happening. The organizers are also encouraging users to boycott the website as well.
There have been people asking if punk will join the protest. After talking about the mod team feels that this is a big decision and because we want this sub to be democratic, we decided it would be best to poll the community to decide. Now this is not as simple as should we join or not as the protest is taking different forms on different subs, mainly in how long the protest should last. So for this poll these will be the options:
punk should go dark for 48 hours
This is the basic protest that many subs are doing. The subreddit would go private and not allow new posts for 48 hours from June 12th through June 14th. After 48 hours the sub will return to normal.
punk should go dark indefinitely
Some subs (including big ones like music) are going dark until reddit agrees to either scrap its planned API changes or at least lower the price to something more in line with other websites. In this case starting June 12th, the sub would go dark for an indefinite period of time allowing no new posts.
punk should not join the protest
In this case nothing will happen.

Locate the box of t-shirts that were supposed to end up at camp but didn’t make it past the JFK airport. Blue thought it was a pretty straightforward task when she initially signed up, however, as she sat in the van staring out the window while Argus drove them up to the airport she realized she didn’t plan exactly how she would find the shirts.
As they neared the airport she spotted the logo of UPS on a building. Her eyes widened as she realized the package would be sent to a distribution center, not baggage claim. “Wait,” she shouted, causing Argus to slam on the brakes and several cars behind them to honk their horn. “Turn here, we need to go to the UPS building,” she said with excitement as she pointed to the warehouse. They drove along the path until reaching a guarded gate. Argus rolled down the backseat window as opposed to his own so Blue could speak. The guard's eyebrows knit together presumably at being directed towards the back or being directed to speak to a teenager.
He still spoke professionally, however, “What’s your business here?” Blue thought about coming up with a lie, but she’s never been a good liar. “Um, I’m inquiring,” she says hoping the fancy word gives her more credibility, “about a missing package.
“Why didn’t go through the process of reporting it lost online or by telephone,” he asked sounding somewhat accusatory. Blue did not have an answer to this, I mean he did have a point. “Umm, well we did a while ago but haven’t heard back…” She racked her brain for something that would make any kind of sense. The guard sighed and spoke into the walkie-talkie attached to him, “There’s some people searching for a lost package, they said they already tried to make contact, but couldn’t get a response. Blue heard a garbled response, that the guard nodded at. He looked up at Blue with a flat look on his face, “Well, you’re lucky. My boss said you can go on back just turn right here till you see a little door marked ‘Main Entrance’.” Blue sighed with relief and got prepared to speak to an authority figure who hopefully would already know what she was talking about.
She entered the building and made her way to the receptionist's desk and explained the situation. The young woman nodded along and slowly chewed the piece of gum in her mouth as Blue spoke. “Mhm, we probably won’t be able to tell you like exactly where it is right now, but I’ll like see what I can do,” she blew a gum bubble and let it slowly deflate back into her mouth as she typed furiously on her computer. Blue was tense with anticipation, hoping she’s found a lead in her case when the secretary looks back up at her. “So like, the only thing I can see is that it was delivered to one of the ports outside, but like it’s not showing up as being sorted for delivery. So maybe it was like accidentally left on the boat or like fell out or something?” she guessed with a small shrug.
Blue took a small breath, “Um is there any way I can look around,” she asked knowing it was probably a long shot. The secretary looked back toward a hallway presumingly leading to administrative offices, before turning and leaning towards Blue and speaking with a lowered voice, “Okay, well I’m like not supposed to do this, but you don’t seem like you would do anything like bad or something. So take this pass and go ahead, don’t stay too long though.” Blue nodded and tried to prevent too big of a smile from coming to her face. She had to maintain a level of seriousness before the secretary did get a vibe that Blue may be irresponsible with her illegal permission.
She exited the building and made her way to the dock area. As she got closer she heard chattering and giggling but did not spot anyone other than a couple of employees carrying boxes back and forth from the boats. Eventually, she noticed what looked like heads pop out of the water with wide grins. Nymphs! Maybe they had seen something. She quickly made her way to the edge of a dock crouching so the workers couldn’t see her.
“Psst, hey guys,” she whispered. The two nymphs that she’d spotted swam over and looked at her curiously. They both seemed to be about her age. Their skin practically glowed and glossy black hair draped past both of their shoulders. However, the part of their experience that really stuck out to her was their clothing. Specifically, the Camp-Half Blood shirts they were wearing. Blue’s jaw dropped open.
“What do you want?” one of the nymphs asked with genuine curiosity. Blue pointed a finger at their shirts, “where did you get those?” she said accusatorily. The nymphs either didn’t notice or didn’t care about Blue’s annoyance, because they both casually shrugged. “Hmph, this box fell into the sea and we found these shirts in them,” one said nonchalantly. “My cousin lives in the lake by Camp Half-Blood and I’ve always asked her to bring me a souvenir, but she never does. So selfish,” she said with a scoff.
Blue shook her head in disbelief. “No guys we needed those,” she almost whines. This task just got more complicated. Sure she had found the shirts, unfortunately, it did not seem likely she would be getting them back.
“Sorry demigod, finder keepers,” they said in unison, before diving back into the water.
“I-,” she started to go after them before deciding against it. What? She would chase them down and demand the shirts off their back? There was no point in that. She sat for a moment thinking about how she’d have to break it to Lady A that if a camper didn’t already have a shirt they’d have to continue waiting. Just as she was about to make her way back to Argus one of the nymphs popped back out the water. She carried a pile of shirts along with her and tossed them at Blue. Blue jumped back at the sudden stack of wet clothes being thrown at her. The number of crumpled shirts could not have matched the original number in the box, but at this point, she’d take what she could get.
“Here, but that’s all we’ve got,” the nymph said matter-of-factly. Blue offered her a small smile and gathered the clothes in her arms, her arms strained from the weight and she dropped the pile on the ground. She carefully willed the water soaking the clothes to extract from the pile. When she collected the stack again they were still damp, but nowhere near as soaked as before.
She discretely carried the stack back to the van where she heaved them into the backseat. Argus turned and several of his eyes blinked in confusion at the decidedly not a box of shirts. Blue sighed and sank into the seat. He turned around wordlessly, as per usual.
By the time they reached camp, the shirts had completely dried. She gathered the wrinkled pile once more and brought them towards the Big House. She looked around hoping that maybe there was an empty box laying around, unfortunately, there was not. She knocked on the door and shifted her weight nervously. What if I just ding-dong ditched this? She pondered as she waited.

I'm a beginner (can finish 10k within 70 mins or so). Lately I've been running everyday for 5-6 km (takes me around 40 mins for 6-6.5 km).
Summer is ending here. A week back, it was hot summer (around 25 degree Celsius right at sunrise). Now the temperature is dropping (around 22-23 at sunrise), but humidity is rising. For last 3-4 days, humidity is going beyond 80% and I'm observing that I find it hard even to finish 3-4 km. And it's extremely sweaty.
Today's weather - 23 degree Celsius with dew point at 21 and humidity 85%. I was able to run 3.5km within 21 mins. Usually I don't have an issue running 6km within 40 mins - and my problem is - I started sweating so badly and feeling so tired, that I really doubt if I could continue running till 20 more minutes - regardless of speed. And it has been the case especially since last 2-3 days (now rainy season is starting so sudden rise in humidity is expected).
I've read/heard that humidity has impact on running, but is it this bad? or is it something else?

Hey all, I have this idea, which I have only spent a week thinking/writing about, and I am hopeful & ambitious about having it come to life.
Like many of you on this subreddit, I have general startup ideas on probably a daily basis which I keep track of, and they all generally deal with education and sometimes healthcare, since I come from both of those two backgrounds. But, again, a lot of those ideas/plans never come to life because I lose traction and motivation due to a demanding job in tech.
This EdTech platform that I hope to build aims to make education more efficient in the United States, and to offer numerous opportunities for enhancing learning experiences for not only students but teachers as well by developing a platform that has training courses on how to use the platform before implementing it to the infrastructure.
What this platform is, is a collaborative space for students and teachers/professors.
I am not sure if I can or should say more than this, as I am still new to asking for help on the internet.
All in all, I am looking for help or advice on how to move forward into making this idea into reality?
There are website builders like Builder.ai, or even hiring Software Engineers to help me make an MVP, but I wouldn't have the budget for an 'employee.'

I'm the worst student ever. Finished MS1 by the skin of my teeth and genuinely feel like I don't remember anything. Studied to pass and not to learn - go figure.
Anki and I are not friends, feels like torture BUT IT WORKS, so I'm putting respect on the Anki name.
My approach to Step 1 must include Anki, I won't keep that much info in the noggin otherwise.
The resource overload is real. Since I'm dumb, I need a simple approach. As of now I'm thinking of sticking to some type of HY Anki approach + UW and Amboss Qs, then practice exams during dedicated. Any input appreciated on this.
So my main question is: how can I cover the material on Step 1 and Step 2 with an Anki deck that I can grind during the summer and to a lesser extent during the school year? If I'm understanding correctly, Anking HY tags number around 22,000 cards. Would it be better to focus on another lighter deck + practice Qs? I've heard of some shorter decks closer to 12,000 cards, etc. The less cards the better, but no pain no gain, I want to make sure I pass and can score well on Step 2.
I'm thinking at 2-300 new cards a day for 2 months, I can take a fair share out of the deck. But I'd also like to keep some time for learning/practicing even for limited time per day this summer. Anki takes me forever, but I think it's worth it. Sick of being the dumb med student, advice appreciated

I'm based in Malaysia , and the flying schools here are governed by an aviation body known as CAAM , which follows the standards of EASA not FAA
I plan to finance my flight school via the help of my father by securing an education loan from a Malaysian Bank , the cost of my flight school i researched so far costs approximately RM439,000-Rm444,000 depending on schools (95,351USD + -) .
Passion isnt an issue , i want this and i'm willing to go great lengths to achieve this but my future is a concern
This concern about my future as a pilot is specifically regarding several topics:
Paying off loans and ability to buy a house and a car in the future and being able to provide.
To senior pilots or captains out there, Assuming all goes to plan , I graduate at age 25 , I start getting a job in the airline industry as a second officer type rated on an a320 being on the observer's seat (example only , realistically I will take any aircraft type rating the airline offers me but I have a goal of getting type rated on multiple aircrafts throughout my life to increase my career security) . From this age and this position , how long would it realistically take (based on your average salary that you have earned incrementally from the lowest position up to captain) to be financially secure enough to :
A. Pay off my loans completely
B. Buy a house and being able to pay it off
C. Buy a decent car and being able to pay it off
D. Start a family and provide Extremely well
How long did it took you guys to achive A,B,C and D ? Would I be able to do this by age 30? 35? 40 ? 50 ?
Please be as honest as possible and do not sugar coat, screw all the marketing bs that being a pilot is a good life etc, I need to know the challenges I will be facing and advice on how to be prepared to face them.

1. Airlines work politics .

Assuming all goes well, I pass flying school , I gain the hours I start as a second officer and I start building my career.. I do everything right I follow every single rule of the book.
But there has to be a corporate catch somewhere ... some kind of grey area where as much as I follow the rules , there could be management grey areas or unspoken rules about the airline industry that I must abide by . If there is , what are they and how would I go about that .
Is there any favouritism in the industry, has anyone ever been fired by the airlines before for apparently no good reason other than 'you follow the rules but we just dont like you / we want to hire another pilot because he has ties to a fellow colleague / gov body /family ,'? Has any of you ever experienced a delay in your promotion to captain because other pilots got the queue cut due to connections ?
these are highly unspoken about items and they dont pop up on google but I need to know this before I invest and risk my life in service to the industry and know whether or not there is going to be some corporate BS that I need to prep in order to safeguard my career security.

Payment Scheme : Bank Loan covers 90% of the school's fees for a max of RM400,000 (86,881 USD)
with 7.75 % interest rate pa with a max tenure of 20 years .
Bank says during my flight school course I only pay installments based on the interest first excluding principal .(20 months duration for CPL/IR + Frozen ATPL course ).
after graduating , I get a 6 months grace period where i dont have to start paying the bank immediately . After that however I start paying Principal + Interest and from my understanding this a 'Reducing Balance' type payment .
I plan to take the loan and choose the 20 year tenure period, to give me more breathing space to pay off the loans, however once I get a really good paying salary , I will attempt to pay off the loans in lump sum to avoid paying such a ridiculous interest amount . Ideally down to 10 years or less

As for releases like Across the Spider-Verse, the film will be available on Netflix with "first-pay-window-rights" for the first 18 months of its home media release.
