2023.06.07 04:31 iamseason1rachel Study places in Cebu
Hello!
Idk if someone made this list na. A quick search in this sub did not yield the results I was looking for.
To preface this: Yes, we can study in our dorms / houses. Minsan talaga, we need that change of scenery when studying, especially during the height of exams season. Plus, hindi lahat may rooms na always conducive for studying. I am of the opinion na okay lang twice or thrice in a semester mag-study outside (arbitrary numbers).
Some of the cons that keep me from studying out are:
- SAFETY. I lived in Cebu since college (2015), so di na ako new sa environment. Pero with news about gun shootings sa cafe (to be fair, I'm only aware of one during college, pero schoolmate ko kasi ang victim so it hit closer to home), I have my reservations. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF YOUR SAFETY DIN, can't stress this enough. It's a scary world.
- My chair sa room is so comfortable, my desk is wide and tama ang height. Well-lit din because lamp.
- Sadly, since the pandemic, parang shiny rare Pokemon na ang 24-hour places :(((
- Mas mahirap umuwi at night because less na ang jeeps that ply the road. Truly missing the pre-pandemic time vis-a-vis studying out and 24-hr places.
- For USC students, okay mag study sa library. They adjust their operating hours depende sa demand. Bring jacket!!! The library has a small retail corner (library and bar ops) where u can buy instant sachets ng kape, biscuits, candies, ordinary medicine like biogesic na you don't need prescription for, papers, pens, highlighters, drinks, may water dispenser for hot and cold water, may 7/11 across the street. If you prefer, be friends sa blockmates mo, order kayo sa Grab for food and coffee, share sa delivery fee. There's wifi but mahina sa library. You can mobile hotspot pero parang mahina ang Globe din there. Stay safe and vigilant pauwi at night.
- Library in your school / university if meron and conducive for studying. Take advantage sa binabayaran mong tuition. Plus, if you need to more references, chances are may books available kasi nga library: this dawned on me a little too late.
- IT Park has a lot of study places.
- My favorite in undergrad was Krispy Kreme (coz hello donuts and relatively cheaper coffee) and Bo's Coffee yung near sa Jollibee/Chowking. Closed na ni nga branch sa Bo's, I think? No wifi na yata ang KK and di na 24 hours. I forgot when siya mag-close. Baka open pa ang Bo's Coffee branch in the same bloc where Krispy Kreme is.
- Recently, may Dunkin Donuts na but they close mga 8 PM yata? For sure walang wifi. Idk okay lang mag-aral there. Takeout ka na lang ng kape.
- Starbucks near the louvre triangle thingy na closed na today and near Sugbo Mercado. Closes like 2 AM as far a I know. Madaling mapuno. Don't finish 2 venti espresso-based coffee in a span of 4 hours before your big exam. I think no outlets? I haven't seen any. There's a Starbucks near Krispy Kreme/Jollibee/KFC din, pero I haven't tried.
- Civet Coffee, pre-pandemic hanging 4 AM yata sila. Small tables, small chairs. Idk, my friends liked it there.
- MangoSix. Salinas Drive. Parang gusto ka na nilang paalisin sa lamig ng AC nila. I don't think you know what is cold before you experienced MangoSix cold. Bring jacket. Maybe may times na it won't be as cold. They have wifi. Contrary to (my) expectation, they don't just serve mango stuff, hehe. Limited outlets.
- Idk if Cafe Talk in Escario St. is still open for studying. Poor cell reception inside. Last time I was there was in undergrad, they have a box-like set up: you're inside a cubicle na sa sides ang opening so may ceiling ka, you squat inside like a Japanese would for meals. They had outlets per cubicle back then. Idk now.
- Bo's Coffee near Cebu Doc. I haven't tried, but I always see med students study here.
- Dunkin Donut, Fuente Circle. I think 24 hours sila, pero when I was there, they had to close at like 2 AM kasi they have to clean up, mag-open again in a few hours. For sure open na sila by 6 AM kasi I used to get my coffee there before I go to work. No outlet. No wifi. Love their coffee. Cheap, strong, good taste.
- Tom N Toms. Idk their operating hours sa new na location nila at 88th Avenue. Con is tuyoon kayo siya murag di for students and convenient lang if naay kay car? FOR ME. Back in undergrad, I studied sa branches nila in front of SM City Cebu (APM mall) and yung near sa Greenery. Okay study atmosphere. These 2 branches are already closed na today, sayang.
- Bo's Coffee sa Ramos, I haven't tried studying here. Saba daw here based sa naka-try. I think maraming med students here since near siya to medical schools. Maka-order ko sa foodpanda at dawn so I think 24 hours ni.
- Starbucks Colon, closes by 8 PM I think, small area. Madaling mapuno. May outlets daw but limited. The baristas are kind.
- *Dunkin Donuts, Colon - under construction pa I think, but may tarpaulin sila showing Dunkin, Idk when mag-open, high hopes for this place.
- Starbucks - BPI Ayala. I love it here sa morning kasi wala masyadong tao. Jazzy, quiet, chill vibe. Mapuno late in the afternoon, becomes noisy, closes at 12 AM I think. Their staff is accommodating and approachable. Poor cell reception sa Globe. Wifi is gosurfwifi.
If possible and you're lucky enough na you can have them in your space, get a comfortable chair with back support, a wide desk na appropriate say ang height, and a good lamp. This saves you the trouble of going out. SAFETY FIRST. Pa-deliver ka na lang ng kape.
Do you know of other studying out places in Cebu City na you'd like to share? (10%) char. submitted by

2023.06.07 04:30 Scary_Forever_6448 17-year-old Florida girl stabbed 15 times before attacker cuts his own throat
| https://youtu.be/pmMbyXp9p54 A 17-year-old girl was stabbed more than a dozen times, along with her mother and a bystander, in broad daylight in a Florida parking lot. The incident took place at a Ponte Vedra Beach restaurant Saturday afternoon on June 3 in front of a crowd. Afterward, the 18-year-old suspect started to "steadily" cut his own throat, according to an arrest warrant. 17-year-old stabbed 15 times: Arrest warrants says girl stabbed 15 times in Ponte Vedra restaurant before suspect sliced his throat Four people stabbed: Four people taken to the hospital after stabbing at a Ponte Vedra Beach restaurant Here's what we know so far. Who was injured in the attack? The family identified the daughter and mother as Madison Schemitz, 17, and Jaclyn "Jacki" Roge, 43, of Ponte Vedra Beach. Who was charged with the attack? Spencer Ross Pearson, 18, was charged with two counts of attempted premeditated first-degree murder and one for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. Did Madison Schemitz know the suspect? Four people were stabbed at Mr. Cubby's Wings, 150 Valley Circle in Ponte Vedra Beach about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said. Schemitz had broken up with Pearson a couple of months ago. They had been classmates at Ponte Vedra High School where she played softball and he played football. The arrest warrant said Pearson began to follow and harass Schemitz in April. On Saturday, Schemitz and her mother met some friends at Mr. Chubby's Wings and saw Pearson seated at another table. “He was threatening her safety," said Tatiana Cruceta, Schemitz's oldest sister. "My mother was looking to get a restraining order against him so this was definitely premeditated. This was definitely something that he had planned.” What happened at Mr. Chubby's Wings? St. Johns County sheriff's officers work the scene of a stabbing attack on Mr. Chubby's Wings in Ponte Vedra on June 3, 2023. As the family headed to their vehicle, Pearson was seen charging toward them. One of the victims told investigators Pearson held Schemitz with one arm and stabbed her about 15 times. As her mother tried to stop him, she was stabbed in the forearm and leg. A bystander who tried to get Pearson off Schemitz was also stabbed. That's when Pearson sliced his own throat, telling witnesses he was trying to kill himself, according to the arrest warrant. How badly were Schemitz and Roge injured? Jaclyn \"Jacki\" Roge with daughter Madison Schemtiz. The two were attacked June 3, 2023, in a stabbing by the daughter's former boyfriend Spencer Pearson at Mr. Chubby's Wings in Ponte Vedra Beach. Cruceta told First Coast News that although Schemitz couldn't feel her legs due to spinal wounds, the family is confident she will recover. Their mother suffered some cuts to the face, forearm, hand and thigh but is recovering. Who was the bystander who jumped in to help? Kennedy Armstrong told Times-Union news partner First Coast News that he heard people yelling in the parking lot and saw a man stabbing two women. He said it was all a blur, but he just wanted to get the man off of them. After it was over, he discovered his right hand had been cut severely, damaging an artery and several ligaments. "You see two girls in trouble getting attacked by a guy, I would hope most people would do the same. Kudos to the mom, I think she's the real reason that girl is still alive," he said, adding that his friend Jimmy Stepp also helped. Roge pleads for privacy, thanks Kennedy Armstrong for his actions “I would please ask for privacy at this time but ask everyone to pray for my daughter. She is the strongest, most amazing person I know. "We owe huge gratitude to that young man Kennedy for saving Madison’s life and to the incredible trauma team, neurosurgeons and hospital staff at Memorial Hospital.” GoFundMe page set up for Madison Schemitz, Jaclyn "Jacki" Roge A GoFundMe has been set up for Roge and her family, with a goal of $100,000 for medical expenses, unforeseen expenses and to help support the family until Roge can return to work. As of June 6, $80,000 had been raised. Where is Ponte Vedra Beach? Ponte Vedra Beach is a seaside community and suburb of Jacksonville in St. Johns County. 2023.06.07 04:30 SchwiftySchwifferson Irritation when partner reminds me to do tasks (that I’m doing or know I need to do)
I’m usually a very easygoing person and there isn’t a lot that bugs me, but I can recall a handful of times that I’ve become really irritated at my partner for reminding/telling/ suggesting I do some task that I know I need to do or that I’m already doing.
It’s very frustrating because she can say it in the nicest way, but no matter what it always hits some soft spot that I never realized I had and my first reaction is irritation.
So I’ve been unemployed since March, and I’ve been looking for jobs to help pay the bills since I left my job. Within the past two weeks or so, I feel like I’ve really ramped up my efforts to look for a job. (I’ve had a small handful of interviews so far and a couple freelance assignments, but nothing steady.)
She knows that I’ve been looking and has been supportive of me through this.
We hadn’t talked about it much today, but this evening it was on her mind and she asked why don’t I go down to the bars and give them a copy of my resume.
This has been something I’ve been thinking about for a while, but had not gotten around to it. I immediately reacted with irritation. It came out of nowhere and it developed into an argument.
I felt like I was being hounded and that none of the efforts I had made mattered and that it felt accusatory like I wasn’t doing anything about it or that I wasn’t doing enough to change the situation.
I don’t know why I went there mentally cause she said it in a calm and polite way.
It’s frustrating because this has happened before for multiple things. I would get this way when she would prod me on going to the gym; when I was assigned to find a parking space for us before we moved to our new apartment; job applications; and maybe a few other things that I can’t remember.
I’ve brought this up with my therapist before and we’ve been trying to work on mindfulness and noticing what exactly I’m feeling before and during this reaction.
I feel terrible for giving her attitude when she is concerned and trying to help. I don’t know what to say about it to help make her understand, and I’m tired of being like this.
Does anyone else experience this? What is it and how do I stop it? I never knew this was a part of me until we started living together.

2023.06.07 04:29 HeroesJourneyMadness Across the Spiderverse Sound mix?
Just got out of the new Spiderverse movie. I didn’t know it was part one of two- still processing how I feel about that.
What I’m definitely taking issues with was that I couldn’t make out large portions of the dialog. Gwen’s final lines- all I understood was “I made my own”. Whole scenes I could only sort-of follow, and many many exchanges just could not be understood. Any time music or sound cues ramped up the dialog got drowned out.
It really put a damper on the movie for me- and my teenage daughter- so it wasn’t just me.
I talked to the theater manager- this was at Classic Cinemas in downtown Oak Park, IL and she insisted this was an issue with the sound mix of the film. “They’re complaining all over the internet about it”.
I’m not seeing any mention here on Reddit about it though. Am I right in thinking this is a theater issue, not the mix?
Great movie. Wish I could have enjoyed it more.

2023.06.07 04:29 king-of-sunbeams SO grateful for Lord Apollo's help today
today my family (my mother, brother, sister, and I) went on a family day trip to a place a couple hours away from my house. The place we were going to required a lot of walking as there wasn't much parking or road space - it was expected you walk. The problem with this is that my mother is very sick. She has many chronic illnesses, the main two worries being her stomach issues (her stomach is almost constantly in pain or she is nauseous) and her weakness in her legs. Well, she woke up this morning and was feeling even more sick to her stomach than usual and she immediately started panicking. We decided to still go on the trip but just before we left I ran to my altar to Apollo and just started praying, asking that she would be healthy enough to enjoy today and get through it. I was practically begging as this was a very important trip for all of us, but especially for my mom. Well, when I got back to the car, my mom was taking a while to pull up her GPS and at some point while we were sitting there, the biggest yellow butterfly just flies out of nowhere. We do not get a lot of butterflies in my area and this was a more rare species for where I am and it was absolutely huge. I just stared at it in awe for a moment and I suddenly felt this sense of peace, knowing this was Apollo telling me he'd heard me. Throughout the drive and the trip my mom's pain subsided and she was able to do everything she'd planned for us and was feeling well enough to enjoy it. On the way home, right as we were getting on the highway, we turned a corner and the sun was there and it looked absolutely gorgeous. There was some smog in the sky (wildfire season) so it obscured the sun enough that we could look at it and it was a fluorescent orange/pink. It was so beautiful I couldn't stop staring at it. I looked at it and just felt so grateful to Apollo. It felt almost like he was saying "You're welcome". I still am so happy and so so grateful. I've already thanked him profusely and given him one offering tonight but i definitely intend to make another offering tomorrow. I am just so so thankful and I love him so much.

2023.06.07 04:28 Rick12334th Mystery long-range weapon
The map view shows an enormous highly-transparent red weapons-range circle, at least 5 times the size of an artillery range circle. It's ROUGHLY centered on the middle of my factory.
I have Rampant, Rampant-everything-except-Maintenance, M.I.R.V.s, Kombat Drones, Aircraft, Aircraft Realism, and various others. There's nothing in the middle of my factory that strikes me as being a long-range weapon. I tried removing my lone rocket silo, and the circle is still there. Same for the Spidertron. I can make a M.I.R.V. strike outside the red circle. The 2 aircraft are parked pretty far from the middle of the factory.
Any ideas what weapon has an enormous range?

2023.06.07 04:26 tea_at_221b 28 [M4R] UK/Anywhere - A long walk in rainy London or getting lost in an old bookstore- take your pick
Hello there, I understand the dilemma. Both are such cool options, right!? But maybe we can brainstorm and figure out which one we like more. Perhaps we get frustrated and decide we need to do both to experiment to figure out what we like more. But of course, before that I hope you will turn out to be someone important enough to me to do these with you. Beyond that, I guess I am just looking to get to know someone amazing like you. So reveal yourself, please! On a separate note, I am a scientist working in some random artificial intelligence thingamajigs in medicine (for more technically interested ones - we do machine learning) after finishing uni. And no, we do not wear lab coats. I absolutely love what I do and where I am. To be fair, I love science in any form.
Some random tidbits about me - - One of my claim-to-fame moments till now has been being at loo next to a Nobel laureate. - I love to read. On some weekends, I sneak away to different cafés, libraries, parks, river banks, and other places in my city to read alone. A dream of mine is to have a personal library at some point!!! - I am into running, hiking, rambling, biking, and squash. In addition, I am always keen on checking out new sports, now onto Eton Fives! Also I really enjoy exploring outdoors, generally with friends. - I enjoy cooking, even though I am very slow at it and am certain that I am not very good at it either. Bonus happiness though if I am doing it with friends. - I am very close to my family. And I am the silliest (and definitely the cheekiest) one among them. - Regarding music, I listen to a bit of everything, depending on my mood. Having said that, more often I find myself listening to classical and indie. Some of my favourite classical composers include Brahms, Vivaldi, and Debussy. My city has an incredible music scene, so I sometime find it tough to stop myself from going to too many concerts!! - I have seen some posts including their MBTI or enneagram type. So if you are interested in that - from all the times I have given the MBTI test, I have been an ENTJ. Similarly for the enneagram tests I have been a number 3. Though I believe it is difficult to profile someone based on just one type alone. - Here are some more random clichéd things I like. I love going to a wide variety of museums (from art to natural history and more) and spending hours getting lost inside. My personal record till now is to go to four museums on the same day (yes, it was stupid, no, I do not regret it at all). With friends, I like exploring independent cafés and sampling hot chocolates.
If you have read the until this long, thank you for that!!! I did not want to shorten the length. Maybe you and I have some common interests! Or perhaps we do not share any common interests at all!?!?! No matter what, I am waiting for your message and getting excited for the fun experiments ahead with you.
Good day to you and cheerio!

2023.06.07 04:24 BITTYBEDROCK Bella Part:1 [M4A][Crime scene][Good friends][Suicide][Demons][Yandere][Weird death][Mystery]
After a few altercations with a problematic Girlfriend (Bella) your close friend, Jake, needed to spend some time with friends so he called up You up (as your off duty at the time) and a few others just to hang-out and have fun, but just two days later it turns out that Jake’s Ex had a killing streak. A few days later as you get called in to work on a new case the person you see on the floor caught you off guard, as you look at the scene in front of you another friend of yours, Kyle, comes up to talk to you…
Kyle: Hey, you doin’ ok?
…
Kyle: That's good to hear.
…
Kyle: I’m doin’ fine thanks
…
Kyle: Yeah “What a scene!” is right! Creepy basement, Weird thing written in blood on the wall, just blood spatters everywhere, a pentagram made completely drawn out on the floor with a picture frame, car keys, a book, some random kitchen knife (looks like it’s been used quite frequently though), and a big lop of hair all placed on one of the five points on the pentagram. As if that weren't enough Jake's Ex lying dead on the floor with a knife sticking out of her chest with a shit ton of ash discoloring her clothes. Weird ass scene if you ask me.
…
Kyle: Yeah how DO we tell Jake about this?
…
Kyle: The keys? Yeah these are car keys I just said that are you even paying atte-
…
Kyle: Wait…your right these are the keys to Jake’s car, that uhhh… Bel-Air! right?
…
Kyle: Yeah. Just wait till we tell him this *sigh* he won’t take this well at all.
…
Kyle: Both his car keys being stolen and having to be taken in a evidence and his Ex committing suicide, he still loved her after all even with all the shit she put him through.
…
Kyle: I think you should tell him, after all you’ve known him the longest it might make him feel better if his childhood friend told him instead dontcha’ think?
Random officer: Ok everyone! Forensics are here and everyone else can leave, except you Kyle. We need your detective skills for this one!
Kyle: Welp you heard her, I’ll talk to you later buddy, but you better get on home take your mind off all…this and rest for the night, I’ll inform you of everything in the morning, sound good?
…
Kyle: Great now you best get on talk to you later
…
*Police chatter and sirens in the background*
*footsteps followed by a car door opening and closing as the listener gets in*
*Sounds of a car starting up and driving off as listener leaves*
*listener parks car and gets out opens the door to his house and walks in*
*Telephone rings and listener picks it up after a few rings*
…
Kyle: Hey! I know it’s a little soon, but we found a few major things that are pretty concerning one of those things being a Book of demonology, soul fusion, and transmutation/ possession along with finding a picture of all of us in that picture frame with everyone else's eyes “X” out with a sloppoly drawn heart on Jake and Bella’s head I think we all know what that means at least, but what I can figure out is what the books are for, I mean demonology that stuffs all made up isn’t it? Well anyway I’ll get back to you in the morning. I know you must be tired and You still gotta be the one to break this news to Jake and all that so I say sleep on it and do all that shit tomorrow. Have a good night buddy.
*Listener puts phone back on stand, gets underneath the covers, and falls asleep*

2023.06.07 04:23 BreakDisastrous2826 Are you a menace like me?
A lot of my mom friends take their kids to so many events, like every day: playdates, library story tines, carnivals, museums, ugh you name it! I’m mostly surrounded by stay at home moms, but these are, like, elite stay at home moms. They’re like racehorses or greyhounds or something. Sometimes I just want to go on a quiet walk and keep the social interactions to a minimum. I cannot do one big event like going to the mall or story time every day. I still have to come home and cook, and I just don’t have the energy to chase a toddler around and exert more physical energy once I get home. I need to sprinkle in some neighborhood walks, or waking up early to play at the park just by ourselves. I also enjoy taking my son out to eat just us, too. I will admit I’ve put the pressure on myself, but I feel more relaxed and present if I don’t make it to story time every week. I have admiration for the parents who can keep up with their kid’s social lives, but I just can’t anymore. Honestly, I’ve been loving life lately by choosing to live more slowly.

2023.06.07 04:21 CuriousCanteen Traveling to SF in two weeks and have questions
I was excited about visiting SF, but I keep coming across horror stories regarding the homelessness and car break-ins. I have reservations at the Hilton in the Financial District. My plan was to leave the rental car in the parking garage and walk to the ferry for Alcatraz.
- How safe should I consider my rental car if I leave it parked in the parking garage?
- What precautions can I take to avoid a break-in and the associated headache/cost?
- Is the walk from the Financial District to the ferry safe?
Any other words of wisdom are appreciated. I hate to limit my exploration because of what I've been reading, but I can't deal with the headaches on what's supposed to be a vacation.
Thank you!

2023.06.07 04:20 UllikRulit [TOMT][MOVIE][2000s-2010s]Can't remember the name of a horror movie, main villain is a monster that looks like an attractive woman, can only be seen in mirrors.
The monster looks like a humanoid with black messy hair when viewed in a reflective surface, but just looking at it it looks like an attractive woman. It eats specific parts of the human brain using an extendable needle-like finger that it inserts into the skull to eat. The movie takes places in a hospital, with the mystery surrounding multiple dead patients. When the main characters look at them in the morgue, they find that they have the same entrances into their skull(near the base of their neck i believe?). At one point, it's true face is revealed in a convex mirror, like the kind that hang in parking garages.

| What is up Rivets!? This week, I'm going to switch the order around on our regular thread because I'm feeling spicy. I'm also going to change how we do the questions and answers formatting for you. You know what... scroll to the bottom because I got a question for you instead of the Roundup! Can you handle it? Can you even believe such dramatic changes are happening to you?! Listen. I said I was feeling spicy. But how are you feeling. Let us know! We can just say hi sometimes. Subreddit Updates - Earlier this week we pinned a poll asking you if Rivian should participate in the Reddit blackout to show support for 3rd party apps that use Reddit's API - specifically Apollo. As mods, we think it's important to ask the community about what should do in cases like this rather than decide on our own. Truthfully, the mod team is just as split as your vote right now and I think one of us shares the opinion of just about each of your comments. So let's hear it for democracy! The poll is open for the next ~24hrs and we'll do what you want.
- I got a few DMs recently about what our relationship is with "Rivian Official" after I posted a PR response on the fire recently. The deal is that we talk to Rivian - from Customer Experience to Comms to Engineering - all the time. We text. They're great. We sometimes get information shortly before the rest of you so we can prepare content. Other times we get it at the same time as all of you, but we get an alert. Rarely, PR arms us with information if there's ambiguity about something. This kind of stuff, including Rivian Responds, adds value to the community directly and it's symbiotic. We do not get free stuff, have any "insider" information, or have any intention to create a business out of this subreddit - meaning that there's no merch, exclusive events, or anything like that. (I'm actually extremely opposed to having that relationship with any brand) If you all ever have questions about this stuff, we're happy to answer your questions.
Weekly Rivian Responds To get your questions answered, comment below within 48hrs of this post going up. Please remember that Rivian is a publicly traded company, so you may not get the detail you want about upcoming product, feature, or software timelines. Of course always ask what's most important, but for more detailed answers, try to ask questions about vehicle capability, choices already made (eg, design), or about the company in general. Q: Are there plans to have the side view mirrors tilt down when shifting the car into reverse? My last 3 cars all had this and it's very helpful for street parking | A: Yep, we're working on this! And as a reminder, when you shift your Rivian into reverse today, a series of cameras feed into the Center Display to assist as you back up. From there, you can toggle between a 360-degree Bird’s Eye View or the Front and Rear camera views. You can also manually adjust your side mirrors in the “Access and security” menu if desired. | Q: When are the revamped phone charging pads coming out? Will retrofits be covered? | A: In a recent interview with Marques Brownlee on his WVFRM Podcast, RJ mentioned that we’d be updating the phone charging mats in R1 vehicles. That’s all the info we have for now, but we’ll share more details as they come. | Q: How many battery cells are in the max pack? Since Rivian has already told us the cell count in the large pack (7776) I see no good reason to keep the cell count in the max pack a secret. | A: The 7,776 battery cell figure was shared prior to launching the R1T and R1S. Rather than an official spec, it was intended to be a fun fact about the vehicles (the 7,777th cell powering the flashlight in the driver-side door). But as we continue to develop our battery architecture, it’s possible that the size, shape, and number of internal components will change. Rather than track these design updates in granular detail, we’ll continue to share our battery packs' overall range capacities to help customers decide which option is right for them. | Q: Is Rivian looking at the possibility of offering the powered tonneau as a retrofit (at a cost) for those that took delivery of a manual tonneau due to the timing of the powered tonneau being removed from the configurator? | A: We do not currently have plans to offer a paid upgrade for R1T owners who took delivery of a vehicle without a powered tonneau cover. | Q: How much longer will RAN chargers be free? Last we heard, those were supposed to cost something by the end of ~April, but they're still free | A: You can expect to see pricing roll out at Rivian Adventure Network charging sites in the coming months. | "Wow CarterGee," you might be saying, "that table is so. neat. I can't believe that you haven't shared the Rivian Responds as a table before now! It's just so much better." And, if you are saying that, my response is simply, "IKR!?" Roundup Alright. You made it. Here you are are the bottom of the post where we usually share the most popular posts over the past week. But this section is time consuming and I'm not sure if you actually like it or not. This week, I've decided against doing it because Diablo IV came out and there's a lot happening at work. But my question is... Should we continue doing these in the future? Or should we do something else in this slot? You tell us. We're all ears. <3 via u/MrrQuackers submitted by CarterGee to Rivian [link] [comments] |
2023.06.07 04:13 Ecstatic-Kitchen-783 Finally found out what makes someone ugly: a high trust face
So today I was just taking a walk in the park and someone asked me what the time was. Many times strangers have asked me for directions, etc. This is because i have a high trust face. We all know for men, high trust face are highly ugly. If you look at guys with big jaws and hunter eyes like Sean O'Pry or Jeremy Meeks, they have intimidating faces because they are handsome.
I don't know how I didn't realize this, but I think this is it. It doesn't matter how many womenni match with on Tinder or how much strangers tell me my eyes look good. I have a high trust face and that makes me 100% ugly. Theres a reason why guys like Richard Ramirez raped tons of women and at least one of his victims said he's handsome. High trust face = too friendly to be considered a sexual nate or breeding partner. Its only good for getting bullied and taken advantaged of.

2023.06.07 04:13 futurebro How to make more gay/queer friends?
NYC based
I don’t have many friends in New York anymore and the ones I do have I only see occasionally because of our schedules. A few best friends moved away and I lost a lot of friends when I stopped heavily drinking. So even tho I’m currently sad cuz of a break up, I want to start thinking about meeting more new people and having fun. Most of my friends in NY are friends from college and their close friends/partners.
I’m shy and generally mind my business which is not great for meeting new people. I was even recently at a party and saw a few hot guys who I wanted to talk to but I was too nervous they were straight and didn’t even know how to approach them. I am much better when the other person approaches me, but I know this is something I need to work on. Any pointers here would be appreciated. I’m not totally lost at parties if I know people tho. I’ve met some people who are Instagram friends but that’s it. My romantic partners have all been made on the apps :(
But I also just need some ideas on where to meet more queer people who want to be friends. I want friends who want to go dancing, hang out in the park, try that new cocktail bar, go to the movies or theatre, etc. If things develop romantically that’s ok but I’m not looking for sex, I legit just want more friends so I can stop doing things solo. I go out less cuz none of my friends want to go, which becomes this self fulfilling loop of not meeting new friends or lovers.
I’ve been in on going acting classes but no one goes out after or anything. I go to workout classes but no one really talks to each other. And I go to the gym 3-4 days a week and see the same people but no one’s ever said hi. And again I’d like queer friends, don’t need anymore straight people in my life hah.
Any advice on where to meet friends and/or advice on how to go from small talk to actual friend?
