First of all apologies for doing this in English. Although I speak little german, still there will be some mistakes, and in the end I do not want any miscommunication and that's why English.
I am already in the salary negotiation stage in a really big company in Villach for an Electronics Engineering Position (:D You know which company it is). The job ad says it pays the salary according to the collective agreement and this job ad falls under group F-G. F has a minimum salary of 3409 Euros per month brutto and G has minimum of 3921 Euros Brutto(https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2023.pdf). Me, a Masters Degree Graduate (Soon to be Graduate) from a public university in Germany, Falls under which category? F or G? How is this classification basically done? Is it the same process as what IG Metall Does?
Now I can understand that these salaries are Bare minimum what the company has to pay. Which means there is still room for negotiate. So I am still unaware of what a fresh graduate can ask for during the salary negotiation. What is the trend in salary for a masters Graduate? Although I will be a fresh graduate, I would still have a collective experience of about 1.8 years in the relevant field that I am selected, in the form of Multiple Internships, working student roles and Master Thesis. Does these count as 'Experience' with regard of salary negotiation?
And I would like to get some insights about Villach :D I am an Indian, who has been living in Germany for the past 2.5 years (East side in Thüringen). I can speak conversational german with a lot of grammar mistakes, yet I can hold conversations. But my job is completely in English. How would be the life in Villach? I obviously like nature/calmness than a City. I am more of outdoor person who likes to roam around in Bike, and also I play cricket professionally :D. In the end, is it really worthwhile to shift from Germany to Austria.

Should I be trying to save more, i.e putting more money into s&s isa + sipp.

It seems to be common consensus that people seem to think the LCSPA demands are ridiculous, however, when you actually dive into each demand, all seem somewhat reasonable, or could be made into something reasonable with a few tweaks.

• Institute ‘Valorant style’ promotion and relegation between the LCS and NACL.

This one is probably the most contentious due to the nature of the LCS franchising. However, one way this could be implemented is by adding 2 slots to the LCS and expanding it to 12 teams, with those 2 slots being held by the top 2 academy teams of the previous split. If these teams end in the bottom 4 of the league, their slots in the LCS can be relegated by other academy teams. These academy orgs would get access to Riot's revenue share for whatever splits they are in the LCS. This would dilute Riot's revenue share, but this shouldn't be a problem as Riot no longer needs to do revenue sharing to help pay for each org's academy teams. As a viewer, this change could provide some interesting narratives and provide a bigger spotlight to academy as well. I could see this being something that could be negotiated, and it would likely be pretty good. LCS would have extra games, and the extra scheduling required might be the biggest downside.

• Allow LCS orgs to partner with affiliates for cost-sharing.

This seems like a weird demand, not because it is unrealistic, but because this is already happening and Riot has already agreed to it.

• Riot commits to a revenue pool for player salaries of $300,000 per NACL team per year.

This one isn't so bad. It's 3 million per year for 10 teams at the cost of Riot who already makes a load of money. This could also be negotiated in some way to be lower if the NACL stuff was held in a cheaper state in the US, potentially closer to the servers. The demand itself isn't unreasonable, Riot could payout 100 million to mistreated staff in their workplace, so they could easily afford that 3 million per year for 33 years and still have a little left over afterwards.

• Institute a 3/5 roster continuity rule to provide players on released NACL rosters first priority in maintaining their slots in the upcoming NACL season if a majority continue to compete together.

This one makes absolute sense. It's about providing some level of security and stability to the players who may have just lost their jobs. It might not be great for the academy partners, but this would only last one split. Riot doesn't seem to want to budge on this, instead pushing for orgs having more authority, even though this would be a one split thing.

• Riot guarantees LCS minimum contracts for the following year for the five players who win the LCS summer finals each year.

This isn't costly and provides more stability to players who win the league without costing much. Top players shouldn't be struggling to find an LCS team, and in the situation they do, Riot would act as an insurance policy to make sure they don't fall through the cracks. I don't think this policy is a big deal, and I think it could have gone further. I think any player representing the LCS internationally should be financially secure for the next year. This is such a small demand.
All in all, these demands can all be easily implemented or negotiated around. The LCSPA is not really asking for that much.

I've been working at this startup for more than 3 years and the company has yearly appraisals and salary hikes. I'm part of the early employee team. I'd shared my intent of pursuing higher education with my boss (the company's CEO) for transparency and for the close interpersonal relationship we shared back in October 2022. The salary hikes were supposed to reflect starting April 2023 based on performance. I got told today that since I am serving my notice period, I'm not eligible for the hike (I have not put down any formal notice yet and just informed that my classes begin in September 2023. And I'm yet to go through the visa approval process for it). The official notice period in my firm is 30 days. I've calrified multiple times that I'll continue working here if I don't get to go to college for whatever reason and that I'll put down an official notice once I have calrity too. What can I do in this case? Any help will be really appreciated :(

What should be my average salary expectation for a fresher role in the company? Any advice, any suggestions would be really appreciated.

I’m on the verge of losing it all, and I have nowhere to turn.
Some (long, but) necessary background:
I (M24) have been unemployed and unable to find work since I graduated university in May 2021 with a BA in Public Relations.
I went to a top 20 public university, but never utilized any of the career center’s guidance or academic advisory help - for most of college I was majorly depressed and didn’t leave my room unless it was to go to the gym or go out drinking with friends (I also skipped class to sleep / nap often).
I moved back home with my parents after college where I suffered from even worse anxiety and depression.
I barely left my room, my parents would berate me for not landing any jobs, all my friends had moved away, and to top it all off, I witnessed my older brother (27, still living at home) exhibit major psychosis after dealing with bipolar and schizophrenia for years.
He was having episode after episode, and more often than not they were violent, loud, and physical.
I was job searching while dealing with this in the household, occasionally having to call the cops when he became too violent, often saying he would k*ll my parents.
This was a very traumatic few months for me, being ‘trapped’ in the house with my brother, getting denied from job after job, and dealing with my very unsupportive parents who wouldn't listen to how I was being affected.
Within that year, I had a serving job for only month before quitting, I had a one-month unpaid internship, and I worked minimum wage at a gym for 1.5 months.
That was it.
In September 2022, after a year of job searching, I moved across the country with my bf. I still had no money, but he was super supportive and was willing to float me a couple months rent - I had high hopes that the job market in San Diego would be better than it was in New Jersey.
I figured a huge change would be good for me.
It’s now June 2023 - in a span of eight months, after applying and interviewing day after day, I only landed a part-time remote tutoring role (that's now done for the summer).
I’m applying every day to full-time positions in PR, marketing, communications, every writing-related, creative-related, and advertising-related field you can think of.
Since graduation, we're talking over 1000+ applications.
I've utilized LinkedIn, Indeed, my personal network, and my university's career portal. No luck.
I get denied from every part-time position as well: serving, bar backing, hosting, retail, working at Trader Joe’s, etc. - some after interviewing, and some not.
I have no money and going back to living with my parents and brother in NJ isn’t an option.
My bf has sat me down recently and discussed how he can’t fully support me for much longer, and that I’ll need a salary if I want our relationship to continue.
So, currently on the line: A place to live, food to eat, my sanity, and my relationship.
I struggle with major depression and anxiety that affects my energy-levels, I always feel like sleeping -no amount of coffee, ADHD medicine, or exercise solves the tiredness.
I’m on Wellbutrin (have tried Zoloft and Viibryd), I go to therapy, I go to the gym 5x a week, and I eat healthy, yet I still have no energy, low self-esteem, and such crippling anxiety that walking into a place to ask for a job makes me so dizzy and nervous.
Even though my back is up against the wall to get a job ASAP, my motivation and hope for the future is at an all-time-low.
What do I do? How do I get a job? How can I develop the motivation I need to pull myself out of drowning?

Ever wonder why INC is aligned with Christian missionaries? Who did Rahul Gandhi meet first in Bharat Jodo Yatra? A hate mongering Catholic priest named George Ponniah who spewed vile hatred against the Hindus of Tamil Nadu.

In particular, I have a deep hatred of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi who are Catholic Christians. They are evil, completely anti-Hindu, and the brainchild of laws like Right to Education Act and the 2011 draft of the Communal Violence Bill. It is painfully obvious that they are Vatican agents who have a deep hatred of Hindus and of Indians. That is why I pray for Sonia and Rahul's downfall each and every day.
Communal Violence Bill - Do all Hindus know that the Congress Party tried to pass a Communal Violence Bill in 2011 that assumed that all Hindus were guilty as default, just by being born as Hindus, while Christians & Muslims could freely attack Hindus without any consequences? Did you know that this plan involved creating a so-called "National Communal Commission" with a "minority" (read Muslim/Christian) majority that could somehow control the Indian armed forces and the police forces to bully and terrorize Hindus? Luckily the BJP under Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, along with Narendra Modi, blocked Congress from passing this anti-Hindu law. BJP and RSS successfully killed this law and then won 2014 in a landslide. Luckily since 2013, the genocidal anti-Hindu Congress Party has been destroyed in the Rajya Sabha and so can never do something like this Communal Violence Bill (CVB) again. Also, India has massive internet penetration now in 2023 compared to back then in 2013 when Congress tried to pass CVB, so if the Italian scum who rule the Congress Party try to pass CVB again they will be exposed and there will be bloody retaliation against them. Variants of the Communal Violence Bill appear in different Congress manifestos under cleverly disguised names and descriptions, but the anti-Hindu intent of the Italian scum is the same. Harsh Mander, who wrote this evil anti-Hindu law with genocidal intent, is still running free instead of being hunted down and punished.
Right to Education Act - We all know how this law discriminates against Hindus running schools while leaving Christian "minority" institutions completely exempt from its horrible requirements like 25% quota, teacher salaries (that are extremely high for no reason), infra requirements like playgrounds etc. Hindus need linguistic minority status or Jain minority status just to escape RTE on their school. This law is so evil and no other country in the world has laws that discriminate against their majority community in education. How dare a RAPIST Catholic padre who is a filthy pedophile has more rights than a Hindu to run a school without government interference? This was the brainchild of Vatican agent and Catholic terrorist Sonia. People like @ realitycheckind on Twitter have been screaming about RTE since 2014.
Nowadays, wealthy Hindus get around RTE by running linguistic minority or Jain minority schools. In Maharashtra, for instance, the vast majority of Hindu schools owned by politicians or big businessmen switched to linguistic minority status (Hindi/Gujarati/Kannada/Sindhi/Marwadi/Punjabi/Malayalam) or to Jain/Buddhist minority status. For instance, you'll notice that Ambani school in Mumbai is a Gujarati linguistic minority institution, or that Lodha school school in Mumbai is Jain minority, or that Birla school is Marwadi linguistic minority, or that Walsingham school owned by the Mittal family is Hindi linguistic minority. If the top 1% can kill RTE in their schools, why should a mom-pop Hindu family running a school be forced to take in RTE quota freeloaders?
Given how hard it is to politically undo reservation-type laws, the solution to kill the Right to Education Act across the whole of India is to make all Hindu schools across India into Jain minority institutions on paper, throwing out the 25% RTE quota freeloaders who should be kicked out of non-minority private schools. Simply put, nobody has the right to "free" private school education, just because you are part of a particular caste (SC/ST) or community. RTE is also a tool to infiltrate Muslim kids into Hindu owned private schools to achieve the so-called "secularism" that leftists want. If you run a Jain minority institute for instance, you can avoid such "secularism" and "diversity" in your student body and can screen out certain types of students.
This law was so evil and was the reason why so many communities like the Lingayats etc want minority status. Because no other country in the world has laws that make it easier for "minorities" to run schools compared to the majority community. The Jains wanted minority status and got it from the Congress Party in 2014, solely to protect their private schools and colleges from the evil reservation laws that we have and the 93rd constitutional amendment. Nowadays, all wealthy Hindus/corporate India are running Jain minority schools and colleges in the private sector free from any type of caste based reservation. In the future, you will see a movement run by Upper Caste Hindus against reservation in private educational institutions. Pratap Bhanu Mehta (who is really a Jain) knew of the 93rd amendment back in 2005 and successfully got the Jain minority status from the Congress Party. I've seen really top-notch private schools that have linguistic/Jain minority status and are safe from RTE.
Despite this law there, RSS appointees like Priyank Kanoongoo (head of NCPCR - national child rights commission) continue to try to "enforce" RTE on hapless Hindu owned non-minority schools. I have no idea why RSS doesn't have a problem with RTE. If Mr. Modi himself wanted to end RTE, I could guarantee you that this whole "program" would have been shut down on Day 1.
Why should a Hindu school owner be forced to admit 25% "free" education, while a similar school run by a Christian does not have to do so? Is this secularism? If it isn't secular, why aren't Hindus coming on the roads, demanding RTE to be imposed on the schools that those Catholic rapists run?

Sonia Gandhi - Italian Catholic Christian, whose real name is ANTONIO MAINO. How on Earth did the largest opposition party (Indian National Congress) get taken by an Italian Christian woman and a Vatican stooge?
Malikharjun Kharge - Buddhist Ambedkarite Dalit. Also has a hatred for Hindu Dharma, even when Hinduism and Buddhism are both Indian/Indic faiths in our civilization that are mutually compatible with each other. Manmohan Singh - Sikh who was the first non-Hindu Prime Minister of India. Now Sonia Gandhi could have chosen a Hindu in her Congress Party as the Prime Minister when Congress won in 2004 and 2009. It is painfully clear that Congress Party has an agenda against Hindus and Hinduism and that their national leaders are anti-Hindu. So, why does Congress still win in some state elections?
Himachal Pradesh - was very close in 2022. Also, the Congress Party in Himachal Pradesh seems to be led by people who are Hindus. Never saw Hinduphobia YET in Himachal by Himachal Congress.
Chhattisgarh - Suspect that there is a massive conversion of tribals to Christianity, particularly in forests. Would be very dangerous if Baghel wins a 2nd term.
Karnataka - BJP government in Karnataka was corrupt and had poor leaders, with massive anti-incumbency with a 36% vs 43% vote differential. Also, the Kharge factor was there and many Hindu Dalits who would have voted for BJP voted for Cong just because of Kharge's Ambedkarite credentials. If the Congress unit in Karnataka supports Christian missionaries or Muslim terrorist organizations like PFI, it's up to the BJP government at the center to act.
Rajasthan - anti-incumbency in 2018. BJP should win Rajasthan very easily in 2023.
I don't think BJP is favored to win Chhattisgarh but I don't want Congress to ever have more than 3 states (Himachal, Karnataka, Chhatisgarh) by the end of 2023.

Hey guys, just wanted to give some good news to everyone here. So in 2021 I got my first DUI, and it really fucked my life over. Got a lawyer and got into diversion, cool. 5-6 months ish later I end up getting a second DUI - long story short had some issues with my personal life (relationship that went wrong) leading me to make some questionable decisions. (No I’m not blaming her). Anyways that second dui under a year while I was on diversion really put me into a huge hole. So my diversion got lifted and I had to serve 2 days in jail. Fine. Got turned into a probation sentencing for my first one and lost all diversion privileges, meaning had to get drug tested once a month for a year instead of just calling the office.
During that probation period, everything went pretty smoothly. I learned my lesson and vowed to never drink and drive again. (Downloaded Uber and put that on my main Home Screen of my phone haha). During probation however, once a month meeting with the PO and drug tests, I’ve always asked my PO every meeting, “hey Amy updates on the second dui case”. And nothing everytime. - fast forward a year to 2022 and I finish probation for my first DUI - my second one still hasn’t been processed in the state.
After probation I decide to move states finally to leave everything behind me. Fast forward a year again, my lawyer emails me saying the second DUI finally got into the state court and I have a hearing coming up… this put me into shit because I thought I finally passed everything and my new life was going great. So I fly back to the original state where I got the DUI and go to court for the first hearing. Goes well, they are telling me second dui is a more serious dismeanor and I was looking at jail time plus another year of probation. Now mind you it’s 2023, and the duis been 2 years old now however this state has a 5 year leeway to pass it through state.
So I go to court and get a new PO since my old ones already retired now. Explain to her my whole situation and that I’ve moved states and been living a really good life. So we talk and talk and we come up with a way to get unsupervised probation but with that I have to serve my time in jail. My lawyer and I fought for the state minimum which is 5 days. Surprisingly we won the case during sentencing court and my PO was also there and suggested I get unsupervised probation.
Everything all went well. Just got back from jail a few days ago did 5 days and I’m technically on unsupervised probation for a year which is super nice - no drug tests or meeting with the PO.
But anyways I know this is a rare case, but I just want to tell you all life does get better as long as you are doing the right things!!! Keep your head up and any questions pm me and remember folks an Uber is cheaper than a DUI!!!!!!

I'm 19 and this is my first full time job since completing my A Levels. I was told during the interview process that after my probationary period of 6 months my wage would be reviewed. That would have been early May so my probationary period is technically over - yet I've heard nothing from supervisors or HR regarding a review of my work or anything like that.
I started this job on the same day as another girl in a different office (same company), she has the same job title and expectations as me. we have become very close and she has told me that due to her being 21 at the time of starting work there she is on £10.19. We are coming in every day, doing the same level of work yet she s being paid 4-5K a year more than me. I've done some research on the average wage for a 19 year old in the UK, and the ONS says that it's around 18-19k, I'm on 14k. I've also looked on Indeed at admin jobs in the area and all are on starting salary's of about 20k.
My job has also been a bit more complex than first advertised, as a majority of the work was advertised as general admin and secretarial duties (phone calls, correspondence etc) but there are many duties that I feel are a lot more complex than these roles that i am expected to do.
At first I was happy to go with the flow, I really love this job so jumping ship isn't really an option for me but I'm very quickly realising that £7.50 an hour simply isn't liveable and me and my partner are beginning to struggle. We were planning on buying a house around this time and have worked incredibly hard to build a deposit, but we've now had to pause that for the foreseeable as banks simply won't lend us enough for a house and are adding huge rates of interest on top of the already inflated interest purely because of what a low wage I am on. My partner is on a great wage for his age, when looking at mortgages I compared mortgage offers to his and my wage compared to his and a £10.19 wage and basically it goes from impossible to a very reasonable mortgage offer. It's beginning to get quite frustrating and affecting both of our mental healths.
Would this meeting be an appropriate time to as for a raise? and would it be appropriate to ask for a raise of £2.60 (so i would also be paid £10.19, the same as my colleague)? If anyone has any idea how I can approach this then that would be very helpful.

Would this meeting be an appropriate time to as for a raise? and would it be appropriate to ask for a raise of £2.60 (so i would also be paid £10.19, the same as my colleague)? If anyone has any idea how I can approach this then that would be very helpful.

Hi good evening, my recommender (my most recent former manager) does not mention the word law school in my letter of recommendation but states that "will be successful outside the organization" which is nice but not specific. The letter of recommendation a bit generic and overall positive. I have 3 other recommendations that are stronger than this recommendation. All of my schools only require 1-2 recommendations with a maximum of 3 letter of recommendations. One school that I am going to apply to accepts 4 letter of recommendations and the minimum number is 1 letter of recommendation. The thing is that I was dismissed from law school in January 2022 (had some external difficulties that have now changed and I have learned from my previous experienced). So I am thinking having as much recommenders as possible will be helpful to application. I am thinking maybe this fourth letter of recommendation from my most recent former manager adds some new context. However, the fact that it does not mention law school or speak to academic qualities/ support of my academic abilities or passion for law and is weaker than my other 3 recommendations has me wondering if I should submit it along with my other 3 recommendations. Or should I just do other three stronger recommendations (one from my former law school professor, my undergraduate professor, and my older former manager) and not submit the fourth letter of recommender (from my most recent former manager)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated it.

This sub has been quite helpful and resourceful, but I have not come across many posts here about applying with dependents. So I thought I should share my application process.

• ECCTIS verification: I am the primary applicant, so I applied for the ECCTIS verification of my degree on 2 June 2022 which cost £207. A lot of back and forth happened with them asking for more documents and stuff, and I finally got my ECCTIS verification approved on 10 August 2022.
• HPI Application submitted: I took 8 months to decide whether to apply or not, given the high costs involved (3 people = 3x the costs), and the low salaries and uncertainty of jobs currently in the UK. Finally, my wife and I decided to go for it and submitted the application on 24 April 2023. Cost for each person - £715 application fee + £1248 for 2 years of NHS/IHS. So, the total cost for me, my wife and our infant came to £5889.
• VFS appointment for biometrics submission: We chose to go to Bangalore for our VFS appointment on 12 May (although dates were available from 3 days after the visa application submission date). After choosing the date of the appointment, they ask you to choose some add-on services; we chose the bronze premium package at Rs 1400 (~£14) for each person, so a total of ~£42. Oh and they also took Rs 1200 per person for document scanning at the VFS center on the day of the appointment (you can do it yourself for free when applying for the VFS appointment, but I had skipped it), so that was a total of ~£36.
• Visa approved: Got 3 emails (for each of the 3 applicants) on 24 May saying that we gave the intended date of arrival as 1 Aug, which is not within 3 months of submitting the visa application (24 April), so we either need to mention a date of arrival within 3 months, or withdraw the application. I replied to each of the 3 emails saying our new intended date of arrival is 1 July. After that, I got 3 emails on 29 May saying that the visa is approved and that the passports have been dispatched, and we received our passports on 1 June 2023. We will need to enter the UK between 1 July to 29 Sep (90 days) to activate the visa and collect our BRP.

It was not planned at all, but as it turns out, it took exactly 365 days from initiating the process to receiving the visa (2 June 2022 to 1 June 2023), which is oddly satisfying, haha. 🤓
P.S. Although the total cost of the whole process, if you add up everything above, comes to £6200, the equivalent of another £200-250 was additionally charged by my credit card as forex conversion charges.
