Alright, so before people get on me about calling for heat another coaches head. I think it’s looking pretty clear that Voss isn’t up to it. I was a big fan of his last year, but seeing how our system this season has been non-existent and our ball movement has become predictable and stagnant… I don’t see how he survives beyond this season.
With that being said. What options does everyone think there are for the Blues? Do we need a Roos type experienced head to take us on for a few years? Or do we need a McRae type to come in and overhaul our whole coaching department?
Personally I think Jaymie Graham would be a solid option with some senior heads around him.

Does anyone know what will happen to narcissists and psychopaths when they die and end up on the astral plane. Will they recover and feel guilt?

I bought the Kobol helios64 as it was seemingly my perfect NAS. It's no secret how that went!
I've finally lost my patience with its instability, so am looking to get rid of it and replace it with something more stable. Apart from the instability, I'm generally happy with what it offers. I like the prebuilt enclosure and I like how little power it draws. I like that it's got > 1Gbe. 5 disks is about right but I'd be willing to expand it a little

In an ideal world, I'd prefer some modest improvements over the helios64
- mainline linux
- More than 4GB RAM (ECC would be amazing, I'd be happy to move to ZFS)
- possibly some kind of PCIe expandability
My needs are very modest as this is mostly just a file server. Some very light containers being run but that's it. I'm building out a k8s cluster also so this box is is for media storage, server backups etc.
Does anything like this exist in the market? I'd prefer not to build my own as I'd prefer to focus on my cluster and after my experience with the helios64 I'd like some stability in my life.
Other things I've briefly considered:
- hypervisor running a NAS OS (would still want appliance hardware)
- Synology (Would prefer ECC/ZFS but I suppose not a dealbreaker. If I wanted to do linux things I can run a VM. High cost for the hardware you get. I see just managing bare metal linux as a bit simpler overall)
- QNAP (security history, otherwise I like the appliance hardware, the software is not known for being amazing)
- longhorn/openEBS cluster (I'd still want a basic fileserver to back that up to, also is the antithesis to simplicty)

On Monday night while I was winning at Code Cragor 3, my fiancée Montana sat next to me folding more of those damn origami cranes. As soon as she finished one, she'd add it to the growing pile on the floor and start again. Fold, fold, fold, flick. Fold, fold, fold, flick. She'd been doing this since I proposed a week ago. She said the birds meant “happiness” so they’d be our gift to our wedding guests. I hated those demon birds.
She stopped folding long enough to ask when the town justice was showing up on Thursday. She meant for our wedding. Except I hadn't booked the justice. I said I left a lot of messages and didn’t get a call back. That was sort of true, I did leave a message at the town court. I left a wrong number for them to call back. She didn’t need to know all that, though.
She said I was too relaxed about this, like I didn’t want to get married. I didn’t, but I wasn’t going to tell her that. Last week she said she wasn’t going to keep cooking and cleaning unless I proposed. Well, she cooks, she cleans, why would I want her to leave? I proposed. I didn’t “set a date.”
Montana doesn’t like when I don’t answer her. She started flicking birds at me. I kept gaming. Flick, flick, flick. I don’t remember how many she flicked at me before I called her uncle, Sam Orrs. He’s the mechanic for our town manager. Uncle Sam had the connection I needed to ’prove my love and commitment’.
With Montana listening to every word, I described a bunch of phone calls I never made. I laid it on thick for over an hour. The overwhelming incompetence of town court staff infuriated Uncle Sam. He promised he’d work it out with the town manager and call me back Tuesday afternoon.
As soon as I hung up, Montana started talking again. Something about her ‘wedding jeans’ and how we had to get the marriage license in the morning. That killed my interest in finishing Code Cragor 3. As I turned off the console, she asked if her ‘wedding jeans’ made her look fat.
I said yes.
She left the house holding three pairs of shoes and two large overnight bags. She said to call her at Uncle Sam’s when I was ready to get the license.
As soon as her Uber turned the corner, I dumped several handfuls of those demon birds into our trash can. There were so many of them, I couldn’t fit the lid on. Oh well. I was sure most of them would stay in the can until the next trash collection day, whenever that was.
Although I went to bed right after that, I had trouble staying asleep. I hoped Montana couldn’t sleep either, so she’d come back right away.
Uncle Sam’s text-a-thon woke me at two o’clock the next afternoon. He said Montana was fine and he had "worked it out" with the town manager. He also said sit tight and wait for more. Who knows what old people mean when they text. I microwaved hot dogs, finished a bag of chips and tore through three rounds of BulletFold (new release!) before going back to sleep.
A couple of hours later, a weird noise woke me. My neighbor was sanding their floors. Roar, swoosh, roar, roar. Why are people so loud? Close your damn windows. I threw on a Pomplamoose playlist, extra loud, and held Montana’s pillow over my head until I got back to sleep.
That worked well until I woke up hungry and in the dark. Now my neighbor was doing something swooshy and crunchy. Why are people so damn loud? Close. Your. Windows.
I wandered down to the kitchen for something substantial that didn’t require cooking. Took a while to find it: two boxes of chocolate chip cookies in a cupboard and a stale donut in the fridge. Ate the donut on the way upstairs and ate half a box of cookies before getting back to sleep.
A couple hours later, I’m not sure exactly when but it was still dark, noises woke me again. This time it was my stomach rumbling. I finished the cookies and the bottle of soda I found by my closet doors. Not really filling but I was hoping Montana would smarten up right away and gets back here to cook again.
Wednesday morning I woke up around ten o’clock. Why go downstairs when I could eat in bed like a king? Okay, my emergency stash of chips wasn’t as filling as a full breakfast, but Montana hadn’t moved back yet. I watched TV until I couldn’t hear it over the sounds of my stomach grumbling, then I went down to the kitchen again. There was nothing to eat without cooking it. I made toast with peanut butter and took it, with a can of soda to my sofa.
After a couple hours of BulletFold, I still heard grumbling. It was still quite dark outside. There was nothing else to do so I went to sleep on the sofa, clutching a pillow over my head to block out noises.
This morning, I woke up hungry again. Montana was being stubborn and, in a way, that suited me just fine. If she stayed stubborn for 24 more hours, we’d miss the “wedding date” she wanted, and we’d have to start all over again. But I couldn’t wait to eat so I ordered from EatFleet, whose motto is “Delivery half an hour or half off.” With nothing else to do, I waited by the door. Twenty-eight minutes in, my phone rang. I was sure it was delivery, begging for an extra minute or two.
How wrong I was. The driver said she was outside my place and had left the bags on my front walkway. She said she couldn’t get past the birds. I said bullshit. I couldn’t hear any birds and I was waiting at the door.
The driver insisted hundreds of birds were surrounding my house. She made it clear she’d delivered on time and brought the bags as far as she could, meaning no discount.
Then she added one more weird factor: She said my house looked just like it did on local news. That was it, she ended the call. I was so angry, I didn’t want to throw open the door and risk losing my temper at her. Instead, I went to the closest window to see if I could at least describe her car to the cops.
I pulled back the curtains and saw – white. Hundreds of white origami cranes were pressing against the window. I couldn’t see the ground or the sky. This made no sense.
I ran upstairs to the bedroom window, hoping to see where the pile of birds ended, and how far across the front they went. The birds didn’t stop. There were birds past the top of the second floor windows and birds at every window, front and back of the house.
Remembering the delivery driver’s words about local news, I turned on the bedroom TV. Local news was showing drone views of my house. My house, covered by white demon birds. Reporter Gary Moovilon was right outside my house. He called me 'home owner, Dirk T Wadder.' The jerk said my name like it was Dirty Water. He said I'd broken off my engagement with less than a week’s notice. What was a rejected bride-to-be supposed to do, he went on, except get revenge?
I had suggestions. She could calm down and stop obsessing about getting married. But Gary didn’t even bother to come to my door. He wondered if a helicopter had dumped thousands of birds on the roof. He called me Dirk T, saying it like Dirty. He was clearly doing it on purpose. I decided to sue him and the station. He wondered how I managed to sleep through the noise of a helicopter. He tried to talk to my neighbors about his ideas. No one wanted to get on camera.
I didn't hear any such thing. And even if there was a helicopter, how did the birds stay in place? Did someone apply glue to each bird, or are they magnetic, or -- who cares. Less thinking, more action. I ran downstairs to start Operation Remove the Birds.
Since I was doing this during daylight, it would be best to at least pretend I was going to recycle all that paper. My hands were shaking and I realized my breathing was shallow. Last time I felt like this I was seven years ago and had just finished watching A Nightmare on Elm Street. I haven’t been seven in – a lot of years! -- no adult should be scared of paper birds, c’mon now!
It took half an hour but I found the box of recycling bags Montana got a few months back. I stuck a few bags under my arm and grabbed the broom before returning to the front door and turning the handle.
Nothing happened.
I pushed my full weight against the door.
Nothing happened.
I don’t know how much thousands of origami cranes weigh but I do know it was enough to stop me from opening my door. For a second I thought about trying my first-floor windows, but all three of them open out. If I couldn’t push a heavy wooden door into the birds, there was no way I would risk pushing glass into them.
I ran to the bedroom window -- it opened up, not out -- and pulled a fistful of the little bastards inside. The rest of the wall should have collapsed.
It didn’t.
I grabbed more of them. I pushed against the birds that remained.
The wall or birds stayed in place.
Something was very wrong. A wall of paper birds couldn’t be stronger than me, could it? There are things that defeat paper. Like water! I dumped out the bedroom trash can and filled it with cold water. When I got within throwing distance of the window, I picked up the can with both hands and aimed for the opening.
Water went everywhere. It made no difference. I pushed, poked and pulled at birds that were wet and unmovable. I only stopped because paper dust caused my eyes to tear up. I mean, that had to be it, no way I was crying at the thought of being trapped forever.
A man knows when it’s time to admit defeat. I called Montana's Uncle Sam and asked for help. He said he had proof Montana hadn’t left his house so this wasn’t his problem. Even if it was, he said, he didn’t know what to do. He said to call emergency services.
Emergency services said they came here after they saw my house on lunch time news. They soaked the birds with fire fighting foam. The foam didn’t make any difference. They said don’t cook anything until I can get air flow in the house again. I said I can’t get food delivered through the birds. They said good luck and hung up.
I went online for two hours and couldn’t find anybody who’s been trapped like this. By this time, my throat felt like it was on fire and my eyes were producing extra water to put out the flames. That’s when I realized I was dying. I was going to starve to death, if I didn't run out of air first.
I called Montana's Uncle Sam again. I didn’t care if he got a helicopter to remove the roof, just get me out. I didn’t care if I had to wash his car every week for the rest of my life, just get me out. I begged, I pleaded, I told him I would do whatever he wanted me to do, just get me out of here!
He was direct. “I want YOU,” said Uncle Sam, “to marry Montana, today.”

I've been a lurker on here and I want to share my most controversial opinion to get some insight, I've been enjoying the sub so far and figured I wouldn't get canceled here. I am moderate when it comes to most things which is why I want to understand why I feel the way I feel about this topic.
As many do, I support the death penalty, however I would go further and say I support torture as capital punishment. I believe we should have methods of inflicting varying degrees of physical, psychological and sexual trauma. Now let me clarify some points:
-I am not trying to argue that capital torture would benefit society as a whole or that we switch to such a system (im not educated enough to know all the consequnces). I just believe that for some crimes, it is the only way, at least the best way we have, of obtaining true justice.
-I understand there is subjectivity when it comes to what someone "deserves". Historical attempts to single out crime as "deserving" are ultimately arbitrary on some level. However, I think most will agree there are cases that are cut in stone. There is an arbitrary line for sure, but past that line there is just complete and irredeemable depravity and those cases are the ones I'm mostly advocating torture for.
-I know people are currently and have always been wrongfully executed and capital torture would make that much worse.
-I do not support death or torture in cases of theft as we see them commonly used in 3rd world countries. I don't believe most thievery to be on the same level of moral depravity as ones deserving of death or torture.
-I know capital punishment isn't a good deterrent for crime. I also think this is irrelevant to the question of whether it is justice.
-I disagree that capital punishment legitimizes the behavior it wants to oppress. A big reason why these crimes are heinous to begin with is because they are done to the innocent. No one is saying killing itself is evil. No one cried for Bin Laden. We celebrate war heroes. Torture and death are merely tools, like guns, you can use them for evil and you can use them for justice.
-I don't care that people are able to reform. I think literally everyone can reform, even someone like Hitler. It's human nature. We are malleable and given the right set of circumstances even the most evil person can change for good. It's always technically possible. Just because it is doesn't mean you should always be given that chance.
-I don't buy the argument that using torture and death as capital punishment condemns the poor soul who has to carry it out. Go watch interviews with executioners they literally don't give a single shit, on top of that with today's technology it wouldn't be hard to have machines automate the process.
-Forgiveness, and "revenge through success" are not justice for the perp, it is absolutely a show of good character on the victim though, and I commend anyone who's able to achieve that.
In today's civilized world we look down on eye for an eye type justice, and with good reason. There are many compelling arguments against it, some I disagree with but some I cant disprove. However, I can't help but feel that the thirst for this type of justice is part of human nature. I think we all feel deep down that retribution is the only true justice, even though in practice it only leads to more chaos. When we see a serial killer get a life sentence we don't feel like he got what he deserved. The current max sentence of life in prison would be given to a man who murders another in cold blood (and not even always), then what of all the crimes that supersede that? What if a man murdered not one but five people in cold blood, what if there was torture or sexual abuse involved as well? Why do they have the luxury of being handed the same sentence? There's a reason capital torture and death was the default justice for tens of thousands of years and practiced in basically all cultures and religions. I feel like we all feel the same deep down, and if someone were to do something completely disgusting and depraved to your family member, I know myself and plenty others would be on the hunt for vigilante justice. Because what's known as vigilante justice today, is oftentimes true justice. It's not that today's max sentence of life in prison is true justice. It's that true justice seems like it's just not compatible with a well run society so we left it behind.
I believe justice can only be earned by retribution, by making the perpetrator feel what the victims felt, and the punishment should be along the same lines, a criminal who tortured his victims should be tortured, a r*pist should be sexually violated and castrated, etc. And this would ideally be automated by machines. Again, I'm not claiming this to be a good idea, only that I believe it is true justice, I think many others hold that belief deep down whether they acknowledge it or not, and I want to understand why I believe these things because I am moderate and reasonable when it comes to basically everything else. What do you guys think of torture as capital punishment, is it true justice, what is justice to you, why is it human nature to seek vigilante justice and do I have to calibrate my moral compass for having these thoughts?

TL;DR I believe torture as capital punishment to be the only way to achieve true justice for crimes worse than one which would receive a life sentence or a death penalty. I've heard a lot of arguments against it, I disagree with some, but can't disprove others, and I want to understand why humans feel this way about eye for an eye type justice.

The post is going to be long so tldr if you do not want to read it is basically: dad earns the vast majority of money to provide for me and mom, the Polish economy is fucked and mortgages are getting higher and higher, dad's an alcoholic and he will either die while I'm studying (less likely) or lose it to alcoholism completely (more likely to happen). I love music way more than biology and that's what I want to do for a living but I know how hard it is to get there, so I have to decide between bioinformatics (more time for music but more expenditures on my parent's part because I will have to move to the other city) or stay here and live in hell for the next 6 years, without my girlfriend and pursue medicine which is interesting but harder than bioinformatics and means little to no time for music.

So I'm in a rough situation. I am extremely ambitious both in music and in biology. I love medicine, I love studying human body, I love learning biochemical chains and cycles. The thing is I produce my own music and I am a DJ, and I am on a good path to make something more out of it. One of my tracks went viral in my country and even abroad. I've played live in clubs and got good feedback from both regular people and other DJs that are well-known in the city and the country. I know I am good and I've been at it for the past few years, and haven't lost the drive for a single day. I think that is what I want to do in life, that is what I want to do for a living. However, I am aware I will need to practice and learn for countless hours to do this, not to mention how hard it is nowadays to even earn enough from music to sustain your basic monthly expenditures. I think it would be easier to be a doctor than to cut through the noise in the music industry lol.
So that leaves me with two options - I need to either jump ship (or at least to some extent) and go for medicine (so little to no time for doing what I truly love), or go for something that will leave me with more leisure time to work on music. The latter option would be bioinformatics. I am curious and I am persistent, also I could do research in numerous fields of biology.

And then comes the worst part - my financial situation. I live with my parents and my mom earns less than my dad, and he is an alcoholic. A functioning one, for now. Nevertheless, me and my mom do not trust him anymore, and a day might come when he loses it completely and stops earning enough money. My parents have to pay their mortgage (and it's getting increasingly harder in my country), sustain their needs, buy our dog food and sustain my needs.
I need to move out because this place is fucking toxic, I cannot live here for a day longer than I have to. There is a medical university in my city, there are medical universities in the other cities in which it is cheaper to rent a house (with my girlfriend). There is no bioinformatics in here, only in the other cities. My mom is largely skeptical to bioinformatics, but she's always wanted me to become a doctor and she will never admit that but it is because she is a physiotherapist and not a doctor, and now she hates her job and how hard it is compared to what she earns.
So yeah, any advice on what to do would be appreciated. It is possible for my parents to provide for me studying in the other cities but it is possible for now. My dad doesn't understand the idea of mental health and he believes "he knows how psychotherapists work and that they are not able to help him", and he also keeps destroying his organism with alcohol while he is a severe asthmatic, has high blood pressure and probably some other stuff I wasn't told about. I am lost and I apologise for any mistakes in my grammar or whatever, I havent slept well in days.

I had a D&C almost six weeks ago. After it was over, I had pretty much zero bleeding and felt ok. I haven’t gotten my period since. Three days ago, I started feeling those typical period cramps, like when you’re period is coming up. That pain started getting really bad yesterday, like much worse than I’ve ever felt it in my life (and I’m 35). The pain has become so excruciating that I haven’t been able to move much, I have been taking painkillers every few hours since yesterday afternoon. The pain is so bad it even woke me up in the middle of the night. And still, not a single drop of period blood.
I called my OBGYN just now and I only got through to the front desk, they said they cannot fit me in until almost a week from now, so if the pain is so bad then I should consider going to the ER.
Not sure what I should do. The pain is absolutely agonizing and I don’t know why I’m having it. Like, I really thought this means I’m getting my period l, but still nothing. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any clue what could be going on? Thanks.

Is she inappropriate sometimes? Sure. Can she display odd, awkward behaviours? Yes. But I dont see her as a villain.
She was open and told Xander clearly (and obviously before the show) that she doesn't think she wants marriage at all, she wants freedom etc. Xander is not a victim if they continued in the relationship knowing that. She continues to say this to everyone else, she's open about what she does and doesn't want. Yes, she flirts with everyone...but that doesn't negate the fact she's openly said she is more interested in 'fun'.
Rae knew exactly where she stood with her. As did Xander. So where are these accusations of being manipulative and/or vindictive coming from? If they choose to ignore what she tells them, that's on them - nobody else. She isn't the bad guy for not wanting the same type of relationship as them (or the general public).
I also completely understand her being hurt by Xander. Xander is painted as the doting, long-suffering spouse, the victim of 'horrible' V and yet they're the one who has continued to lie and act in a sneaky manner. Tells V that they'd be 'asexual' if it wasn't for her, that they love her and only her etc. They were the one issuing the ultimatum... but in 3 weeks is head over heels with someone else, extremely sexual with them and then continuing to text them behind your partners back after the trial while you're supposed to be focusing on your existing relationship? And having the audacity to act like V is the problem when she wants to know the extent of the relationship with Loly and asking to stop the inappropriate texting. Xander is the one whose behaviour isn't adding up.
V not necessarily wanting marriage or a relationship that fits the 'norm' doesn't mean she doesn't have real, genuine feels for Xander and isn't going to be hurt by their actions. I couldn't imagine my spouse responding to people who dislike me by saying "well just throw a drink in her face then!". Like, wtf?
She has been consistently downright bullied by a bunch of mean girls for all to see, and people are encouraging it...why? I dont get it.

You can't go out and buy an interesting life and hang it on yourself like a Christmas tree bauble. Nice try. It's almost like how the AliExpress algorithm still can't figure out my profile and I get redirected random ads for African crossdressers, BDSM paraphernalia, stuff for school age children, vacation homes in Bangladesh... because phones seem to be listening to my wide ranging chats with my grownup daughter, LOL, and came up with this. None of the above apply but ok, those outfits might actually work, LOL.

So, first questions: which starter classes make for strong summoner builds by endgame? How early does such a build become 'active', as in, when will I start to be a proper summoner? Is a melee summoner possible? What kinds of summoners are possible/viable (necro, natural beasts, dragons, erc)?
2nd questions: is trading mandatory or can I play fully on my own? Can I even play offline?
3rd questions: how does it play on Steam Deck? I don't have a pc anymore, so SD is my only option for the foreseeable future. Is it finicky to set up or optimized for Deck?

As active members, users, and moderators of numerous communities within Reddit, we come forward with concerns about recent changes to the platform's API pricing, especially as it relates to third party Reddit apps.
The Situation
Recently, Reddit has significantly increased its API pricing, rendering it increasingly unaffordable for third-party app developers to continue their services. The prohibitive cost threatens to make it difficult to mod from mobile, stifle innovation, limit user choice, and effectively shut down a significant portion of the culture we've all come to appreciate. Indeed, on May 31, 2023, when these changes were announced, every third party app developer on Reddit made essentially the same statement: "I will have to shut down the app." Apps can also no longer show ads which was a primary source of revenue. So not only do they have to pay exorbitant fees, they can't even mitigate those fees with ads.

The Impact on Moderators and Communities
As moderators, we find ourselves at the intersection of Reddit’s management and its user base, striving to facilitate respectful and meaningful dialogues in our communities. The recent API pricing change is detrimental to our efforts in several ways.
Many of us rely on third-party apps to manage our communities effectively. Let's just rip the band-aid right off: in many cases these apps offer superior mod tools, customization, streamlined interfaces, and other quality of life improvements that the official app does not offer. The potential loss of these services due to the pricing change would significantly impact our ability to moderate efficiently, thus negatively affecting the experience for users in our communities and for us as mods and users ourselves.
Concerns about NSFW Content and the New Policy
Mature content, aka NSFW content, or 18+ content and subreddits are subject to new restrictions that make this type of content unavailable via the api. That means that if the other restrictions on third party apps were not present, they still would not be able to display that content.
These changes render moderation of nsfw communities via automated processes or by a third party app null and void. If a moderation bot does not have access to this content, it cannot operate. Moderators of these communities can no longer use a third party app to mod even if they were still going to be financially feasible to run. Having access to only content in the subreddit that the bot moderates is not sufficient to prevent spam, karma farming, link-dumping, and the other types of behaviors that ruin subreddits and sometimes separate users from their money. Mature content has long been something we don't really talk about; like it's a second class citizen or something not to be discussed in polite company. But we all know that mature content is a big driver of traffic, otherwise spambots and onlyfans promoters wouldn't try so hard to monetize it. Spam in these communities will skyrocket with these changes requiring either an exponential increase in brute force human moderation, or a give-up attitude on the part of mods leaving communities overrun with spam.
This also impacts communities other than mature content ones. Communities for art, chat communities for minors, and communities for nudist lifestyles are examples of non-"mature content" spaces that need their bots and mods to be able to see when a user is posting in mature content communities.
The reasons given for this restriction indicate complying with legal requirements or helping content creators better control their content. But we see no reason that third party apps could not incorporate a similar process as reddit would use to display the content in their own apps. Their lack of discussion combined with the high level of restrictions indicates another reason might be at play. Indeed, past interaction and communication with admins would all but guarantee it.
Communication Concerns
One of the longstanding concerns with Reddit management is the lack of transparent and consistent communication, particularly with those of us who contribute significantly to the platform's functionality and growth: the moderators. Over the years, we've experienced abrupt changes with minimal to no notice, as reddit made changes or launched new features or tools with little to no notice, creating unforeseen repercussions and consequences in managing subreddits. Entire subreddits and initiatives have been formed over the years to address these concerns. And while there have been some improvements, the communication gap remains sizable and often leaves us — as unpaid moderators — scrambling to adapt and ensure our subreddits remain places where every user feels comfortable enough to comment without fear of attack or other negative engagement.
Furthermore, inconsistencies between what is communicated by Reddit's management and the actual outcomes contribute to growing trust issues between mods and admins. Promises of advance notice of changes have repeatedly fallen through, further exacerbating our concern about this recent API pricing change.
Our Plea
We understand that Reddit, like any company, must balance its financial obligations. However, we believe that the longevity and success of this platform rest on preserving the rich ecosystem that has developed around it. We urge Reddit's management to reconsider the recent API pricing change, finding a compromise that allows third-party app developers to continue contributing to this platform's success.
We ask for a solution that recognizes the vital role these third-party apps play and takes into consideration the negative impacts this decision might have on both users and moderators. A sustainable pricing model that encourages rather than discourages these apps' growth and innovation will only strengthen the Reddit community.
Conclusion
We've seen how, in the past, responses to big issues can be a bit vague. We totally get that when tough questions come your way, it's not always easy to be there with a quick answer. Likewise, we understand that putting yourself out there in public can be hard, but we feel it simply comes with the territory when these times arise.
Unfortunately, these recent actions undertaken by Reddit come off as inconsistent with previous commitments, which makes it challenging to maintain trust between mods and admins. We are sincerely asking for an honest and direct response to this letter with tangible action that mitigates the issues raised here.
We hope this letter will facilitate a meaningful conversation among Reddit's leadership, its diverse mods and users, and third-party app developers upon which many mods rely. We firmly believe a solution can be reached that would be mutually beneficial to all while helping reddit achieve its goals. Likewise, we hope reddit will consider that its unique strength is derived from its diversity of mods, users, and developers and the myriad tools used to engage with the platform.
