I'm currently reading A Shadow in the Ember (haven't read The War of Two Queens or A Light in the Flame yet), and I need HELP understanding all the beings in this world. I absolutely love the lore, but my brain melts every time another species is brought up. Here's what I think I understand:

1. Primals are the most powerful gods, not necessarily the oldest.
   
2. Gods are lesser in power than Primals (are they all Primal children or no?).
   
3. Deities are the offspring of two gods.
   
4. Godlings are the offspring of a god and a mortal and can Ascend if they feed from a god during their Culling (to avoid dying).
   
5. Atlantians were first created when deities found their heartmates in a mortal or wolven and asked the gods to grant them life, tying the lovers together (and modern-day Atlantians descended from these Atlantians).
   
6. Ascended, or vamprys, are made when an Atlantian drains the blood of a mortal and replaces it with their own.
   
7. Demis are made when gods Ascend mortals who are not third sons or daughters.
   
8. Chosen are the Ascended third sons and daughters (Ascended by the gods).
   
9. Revenants are third sons and daughters that were once meant to be chosen but were Ascended by, I'm guessing, Eythos? (I haven't gotten that far yet, but that's what the wiki has told me because Eythos no longer had the power to Ascend the Chosen, instead making Revenants).
   

Here are the things I do not understand, probably just because I've forgotten what I was told by this series:

1. What are the children of Atlantians and deities called? I guess you'd think it's just "Atlantian," but wouldn't the child of deity be something else, even if their partner is an Atlantian?
   
2. What makes the Chosen able to avoid being turned into demis? Aios mentioned that gods drinking too much from a mortal will make a demi unless they are a third son or daughter. I would figure the Primal of Life would be the only one who could Ascend the Chosen, but if third sons and daughters are somehow immune to becoming demis, does that mean that any god trying to Ascend a Chosen will either succeed or turn them into a Revenant? I just don't get what makes the Chosen special. I guess maybe something the Primal of Life alters within them when they're proven worthy?
   
3. Is Eythos (or whoever) still the one making Revenants because I thought the Revenants were random mortals with the gene in them? Does that mean that Revenants can have kids? I'm okay if someone spoils this.
   
4. Is Poppy only a god because Nyktos is so closely related to her (a grandfather instead of someone several generations removed from her)? Because Ires is just a god--albeit a powerful one--and Isabeth isn't a god at all. Is it just that Nyktos has so much power that the rest of Poppy's heritage almost doesn't matter? Because Nyktos being her grandfather alone is what was responsible for her being a god?
   
5. Gods can Ascend to a higher form of their power, so is that was happened to Poppy when Casteel gave her his blood? I recognize that I might learn the answer to this one later, but call me Princess because I have a lot of questions.
   
6. This one is just for a reminder but third sons and daughters of Solis are supposed to be food for the vampry, right?
   

Whoever actually bothers to answer my questions is my new favorite person, and I will personally apologize to you for taking your time to help me understand all the stuff going on in these books.

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is likely a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface, even if they're not affected now.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, over 3000 subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy, /ActiveWorlds among them. Some will return on the 14th, while others will go away indefinitely unless the issue is adequately addressed. We have yet to make that decision.
The blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.

What can you do as a user?

• Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site; message reddit; submit a support request; comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one; leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app; and sign your username in support to this post.
  
• Spread the word. Grab a pitchfork and rabble-rouse on subreddits related to the cause. Meme it up, make it spicy. Check if other subreddits you frequent are participating and if you know anyone who moderates a subreddit tell them to join the coordinated mod effort at /ModCoord.
  
• Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely starting on June 12th— instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
  
• Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.
  

What can you do as a moderator?

• Join the coordinated effort over at /ModCoord.
  
• Make a sticky post showing your support, A template has been created here you can use or modify to your liking, and be sure to crosspost it to /ModCoord.
  
• Take your subreddit private when the time comes.

I've followed the ArchWiki for Full Disk#LVM on LUKS but don't see how to unlock a second LUKS partition. Some googling said if the other LUKS containers have the same password systemd-boot will unlock them all but when I get to the /home partition it hangs, does not ask me for a password, and then eventually times out.
Also tried to add it the crypttab?
/etc/crypttab

Today, we want to discuss an urgent matter that affects both the moderators and users of reddit alike. As you may or may not have heard, a recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps (Reddit is Fun, Narwhal, BaconReader, and many more), making a various features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users. Starting on July 1st, Reddit has unilaterally decided to impose exorbitant charges on third-party app developers for utilizing their API. This includes the developer for Apollo, being charged 1.7 million dollars per month for API requests.
On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark in protest of this policy change. Some will return after 48 hours; others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed.
/confusedmoney is planning on joining these subreddits in solidarity, requesting that Reddit revisit this policy change. 3rd party applications have been the lifeblood of Reddit for the past 10+ years and should be here in the future.
What can you do?

1. Complain. Message the mods of reddit.com, who are the admins of the site, and comment in relevant threads on reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support.
2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy.
3. Boycott and spread the word to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely from June 12th through the 13th- instead, maybe touch some grass, call your grandma, or go install that new app you've been dying to try.
4. Don't be a jerk. As upsetting as this may be, threats, profanity, and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable, and law-abiding as possible.

Greetings fellow hollow, Have you ever found yourself in the situation where you wanted to start a new playthrough in a Souls game for the twentieth time, only to find yourself out of ideas as to what type of character you should play next? Fret not my friend, for I have created a compendium of archetypes to help you make your next character.
But, what do I mean by "archetype"? You may ask. An archetype defines a playstyle by narrowing down the options available for weapons, spells and even the stats distribution. They are not meant as strict guidelines to follow, but rather to offer some help at trying out builds you might be unfamiliar with. So, basically, use them with as much flexibility as you want; the goal will always be to have the most fun possible.

Let me explain a few of the terms that I use in this list.
The archetypes are grouped in four different Types: - Tanks: Archetypes that tend to use heavy armors and heavy weapons. Their playstyle focuses on getting “close and personal” with the enemies. Very straightforward and simple. - Warriors: They can’t sustain as much damage as tank archetypes, but they are played very similarly since they also focus on direct combat. They have more variety in weapons and spells though. - Rogues: These archetypes are the complete opposite, they try to avoid direct combat in favour of more unorthodox strategies, like applying debuffs (bleed, poison, etc.), high-risk high-reward attacks like parries and backstabs, or simply attacking with ranged weapons from a safe distance. Some of the most unique playstyles are among this group. - Mages: Archetypes that focus on spellcasting, although not exclusively. They require good resource management but feel more unique than other archetypes.
In the Weapons column you can check which types of weapons, shields and spells will be available to your character. I recommend only changing equipped weapons when near a bonfire, similar to the ‘Allocating spells’ option in the bonfire menu, this way there is more weight to which weapons you choose for each section of the game. Sometimes you will see something like ‘Weapon 1/Weapon 2’. This means that you can’t equip weapons of both types simultaneously, although you can still equip multiple weapons of the same type. If you see something like ‘Weapon 1+Weapon2’, that means that you can equip both weapon types simultaneously. It’s written like that simply because of how the table is styled. Of course, you can dual-wield any of the weapons available to your archetype as long as you respect the rules mentioned above. Spells are separated in different categories, if you have any doubts as to which spells pertain to which category, don’t hesitate to ask in the comments.
The Equip Load column determines the average weight that you can carry, which means that you will have to change your gear (weapons, armor and rings) accordingly.
The Attibutes column indicates the importance of each attribute for every archetype, ‘1’ being the most important and ‘3’ the least. Names for attributes are from Dark Souls 3. For other games, adapt them as you see fit. These numbers also establish the limit you can upgrade each attribute. This limit can be surpassed if you want to meet the requirements for a specific weapon or spell that’s included in the ‘Weapons’ column; or completely ignore it if you don’t like it. 1: Max 40 (60 for Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence and Faith if you want even more damage) 2: Max 30 3: Max 20 If an attribute is not listed, you should never upgrade it (with the only exception being ‘adaptability’ in Dark Souls 2).
In the Description column you will find a brief explanation of what is the ideal playstyle for each archetype. Read these carefully before deciding which archetype you want to try in order to make a better decision.
I’m not the biggest expert in Souls’ games, therefore any comment with ideas or doubts will be very welcome; as long as they are written respectfully of course. If you have an interesting proposition for a new archetype that is not already included in the list, please don’t hesitate to comment it, as long as it complies with the following rules: The names of the archetypes cannot reference a specific creature from the games or the lore (enemy, character, monster, etc.), nor to places. For example, “Thorn knight”, “Lord of Cinder” and “Millwood knight” are not adequate names. Archetypes define playstyles, not specific builds, consequently it’s essential that they are not reduced to a single weapon and/or spell type. For the same reason, archetypes are not meant for roleplaying nor for gimmicky builds. If you want a specific build like these, you can check the lists that already exist in the different wikis or in this very reddit. No archetype can repeat the weaponry of another one, there must always be at least 3 differences; although there can be exceptions if the playstyles truly are different. If you want to propose a new archetype, please make sure to include a clear description of its playstyle, as I won’t have time to test them to do so myself.

Rowling announced The Running Grave through the anagram “Untangle the hanging venturer” - I take it as a sign that the book will be packed with literal and metaphorical hanged men.
(Why? She announced LW through the game of Hangman, and it was so full of the Hanged Man symbolism - about it later; but I mean - there were actual gallows in it!).

What is the Hanged Man, and why should we fear it?

The Hanged Man is a tarot card that illustrates the cross-cultural symbol of sacrifice found pretty much everywhere since mythological times.

Jesus Christ, St Peter, Odin, Aslan from the Narnia Chronicles, Pinocchio, Luke Skywalker in Empire Strikes Back, Komaram Bheem in RRR, Helly in Severance, and Cassie in Promising Young Woman are all examples of hanged men in the (pop-)culture I could brainstorm in five minutes. (Links will take you to characteristic images; I trust you are already familiar with the stories behind them or can google them if interested).
The Hanged Man means two things:

• a sacrifice (refers to Odin, who sacrificed his right eye and willingly hanged from the tree to gain wisdom)
• a traitor (refers to a humiliating practice of hanging convicts up by the ankle for punishment)

So when a hanged man appears on the page (screen), we can expect a sacrifice to happen and should be alert to the presence of a traitor.

Here’re some examples so you can see how these meanings can fit together. Three of my favorite hanged men in Rowling’s books are:

• Snape. When James Potter uses the Levicorpus spell on him, Snape is hoisted in the air upside down, as if hanged by the ankle. This image is symbolic and foreshadows Snape’s betrayal - and his sacrifice to make up for that.
• Sirius Black. When we meet him, he’s a convict, believed to be a traitor. But he’s actually an innocent victim who sacrificed years of his life in prison and will eventually sacrifice the life itself.
• Owen Quine. His body was hung from the hook in the ceiling, tied in ropes. (Although Strike found it on the floor). That is quite a literal hanged man visual, warning us that somebody who is believed to be a traitor is not one.

When appearing in a tarot reading, the Hanged Man signifies long waiting, setbacks and delays. Like the man on the card, everything will be suspended. But! The setback will be for the best as it will bring a much-needed perspective or knowledge. After the sacrifice, a hero will learn something that was hidden from them before:

• The discovery of Quine’s body turns the whole case upside down: it’s a murder case now! To get to the root of it, Strike and Robin must go back in time and find who wrote the parody that led to a woman’s suicide. The real traitor will be revealed - after no less than 30 years!
• Sirius’ story is full of betrayal and sacrifice. He spent eleven years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. As a resolution of his arc in book 3, Harry learns that it was Wormtail who betrayed his parents. Sirius’ second sacrifice - in book 5 - leads to Harry learning about a prophecy, - and yet another traitor, Severus Snape.
• Who actually hasn’t betrayed anybody for sixteen years! Wow! Not the killer of Dumbledore - just a shitty person! But shitty people’s sacrifices also count, and Snape’s puts the story upside down and reveals a whole new perspective - four chapters before the very end of the story!

Those three follow a neat “betrayal - change of perspective - sacrifice - change of perspective - redemption” formula. There are many other Hanged Men hung like guns everywhere in Rowling’s writing:
She non-too-subtly starts GoF in a pub called The Hanged Man in the village of Little Hangleton (the neighbour of the town Great Hangleton). It’s a neon sign pointing at an innocent sacrifice! (Could be Harry but was Cedrick).
Apart from that, there is Mad-Eye Moody in that book, the walking Hanged Man (no eye, no leg) - only he’s not Moody at all but stealing Moody’s identity Barty Crouch-Jr. He’s, of course, yet another hanged man: a convict, a traitor, and an innocent life-taker - his mother’s life was sacrificed to save him.
He reminds me of Raff, another Hanged Man in Rowling’s series. Another kid of an influential father, he’s a convict, too - he killed a young mother. (Admittedly, she wasn’t his mother, but mentioning that she was a mother underlines the innocence of the sacrifice).
Two brushstrokes to this hanged man’s portrait: as a child, he was almost suffocated by his older brother - as a grown-up, he chose suffocation as a MO to kill his father.
LW is quite heavy with the hanged man symbolism: it’s literally centred around a gallows (although we don’t know it at first). What is so special about number 4 that both GoF and LW are packed with hanged men? The figure of the hanged man on the tarot card looks like a vertically flipped 4 - hence the association!
But of course, there are plenty of 4-unrelated hanged men, too. The latest is Strike himself lying on the hospital bed at the end of TIBH. Imagine him, without his right leg, a stabbing wound in his right side (Jesus - Odin - Strike), fixed to the machines around his bed as if hanged in ropes. At this moment, all his usual business is on hold. The pause, although unwelcome, is necessary - for one thing, it finally opens his eyes to his feelings for Robin!
Alas - the hanged man comes with the usual delays and setbacks, and she’s away on the date with Ryan.

The Hanged Man embodies the element of Water, so drowned people or people diving (suspended in water) should remind us of him, too. I’m thinking about how Matthew got hurt while diving, which created a whole lot of setbacks and delays for Robin. (Like getting a sweet release of a divorce!)

Crowley gives another layer to this: "a drowned man", “a baptism, which is also a death”, and “a male child of perfect innocence and intelligence”. That’s a sinister thought, yet strangely fitting for the new book! I’m pretty sure we’ll see the baptism of Nick and Ilsa’s son - Strike and Robin have already been chosen as godparents. I don’t want that child to die, of course, nor do I believe it will actually happen - Strike’s and Robin’s godparenthood must have a bigger purpose! But what if there is another baptism that goes horribly wrong? I’m thinking about the Norfolk commune, the church in Aylmerton as a Twitter header, and the little wave emoji, and somehow “a baptism, which is also a death”, sounds a lot like a premise for the mystery book!..

Okay, I think I covered the Hanged Man symbolism! Two characters I want to mention before I wrap up:

• Shanker, as a convict, just must be a Hanged Man figure;
• In some traditions, the Hanged Man is called Prudence - she must be a Hanged Woman, too!

I’m very interested to see if Rowling means for them to follow Snape’s - or Quine’s - “traitor - sacrifice - change of perspective - redemption” path. (Especially considering that half of them haven't even appeared on the page yet). What do you think?

Event FAQs

• The Event Shop and Capsules appear after you’ve healed 30-70 tiles; after that a free Bronze Capsule can be collected every 3 hours.
• It takes 5x or 6x level 9 Life Orb of the Heavens to clear all the 5k+ land, depending on how much you heal by merging items off dead land.
• 29,950 points are required to collect all the main prize items; this equals roughly 1x level 9 points item plus 2x level 8 points items.
• Key items can all be made via 3-merges, if the item is not already in its final form.
• Caves must be tapped to spawn a Zomblin; only one event Zomblin lives in each cave, and it turns into Stinky Cheese when killed.
• The Gold Capsule, Tanzanite Nest, and Fallen Star are on tiles requiring 50k energy to heal, with locations shown on Slide 1.
• Infinite Harvestables:
  • There are 9x level 1, 3x level 2, 1x level 3, 2x level 4, and 2x level 5 Carnival Carts on the map, with locations shown on Slide 3.
  • Note: No Carnival Carts are used as keys in this event, and it is safe to delete the Infinite Harvestables.
• Consumable Harvestables:
  • Each 1x1 Golden Jolly Mask can be harvested 25 times; 75 total harvests are needed to complete Quest 1.3.
  • Each harvest of the big 1x2 Peacock Mask at the back of the map yields a 10% chance of spawning an extra Golden Jolly Mask.
  • Once all available Golden Jolly Masks and the Peacock Mask are gone, there is no way to get more.
• Only 2 dragons at a time will harvest when left on their own; having more than two will drastically slow down idle play. If you want extra dragons for active play, the Prism Flower method is a good option.

Event Troubleshooting

If the event is not showing up or glitches are affecting your play:

• Try hard closing and then relaunching your game.
• If your device is running hot, stop playing and allow it to cool down.
• Try rebooting your device (ie, turn it completely off, then back on and allow it to fully boot up before relaunching the game).
• Try rebooting your wifi router (if you have access).
• Try switching to a completely different internet source.
• If you’re suddenly experiencing multiple issues like lagging or error messages, close the game and try again after an hour or two; events are server-based, and sometimes activity on that end can cause temporary problems.
• If nothing here helps, contact Gram Games Support through the in-game link or the official website for help figuring out what’s wrong.

General Technical Warnings:

• Cloud Save is still unreliable: according to the developer, it is not safe to be used and should be left turned off.
• Saving your Progress: Make sure you travel to the World Map screen before closing your game to save your progress; saving immediately after earning or making high-value items is also recommended.

I'm not sure what I did wrong. I generated the encoded Argon2 hash from argon2.online. Pasted that into the docker-compose.yaml file with the double $ according to the documentation.
However, I cannot get into the admin page when I enter the string I initially used to generate that Argon2 hash. The error says Error: Invalid admin token, please try again. Did I do something wrong? I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

This is just a quick little 15-minute vent. I don't want this to cause problems, I just gotta get these issues off my chest and figure out if I'm in the minority or something because I can't believe this stuff still hasn't changed.
Food spoil time makes zero sense. Tea spoils in a few hours, salted foods spoil in a few hours, broiled food spoils in a few hours. I can't justify grinding out resources to stock up on food that helps me, because it'll just spoil before I fucking eat all of it anyways. I'm a bloodied V.A.T.S build, I can't afford to drop the 5 of 14 luck devoted to mutations, or the crit/vats abilities I use in order to be able to make my fucking food last long enough to hold value.
I cannot stress enough how irritated I am with the system that encourages I take a break from fighting and looting every few hours to go on a hunt for animals and resources that may-or-may-not have just recently been grabbed by somebody else, and I'm pissed that they want to charge me money for a fridge that doesn't do any better than GWS.
I'm just really irritated with the fact I have to make sacrifes to my setup in order for things to come together. Someone convinced me that Healing Factor didn't affect chem effects in combat because the healing factor doesn't work in combat, and that made sense to me. So now I have two options;
Keep class freak so that I can actually use chems, or Grind out every other serum to reset my mutes? Really? Just Because food spoils and I don't have spare points?
I get that this is sort of a 'i put myself in this hole' situation, but it's bewildering to me that food can be such a critical part of maximizing builds and still be such a damn drag to upkeep.
Next, let's talk about how insane the stash limitation is. I don't want to pay bethesda $100 on a game I already paid $60 for (some of which I feel like I'm owed back since I couldn't play the damn game for the first year and a half anyways because of how broken it was), just so that I can store more than 5 spare weapons and a few hundred pounds of water, meds, chems, and non-perishables. Ammo & Junk takes up nearly 700 of my 1200 capacity.
I'd HAPPILY pay $30/$50 for a storage increase, or spend an extra 100+ hours grinding resources and doing fetch quests for C.A.M.P upgrades that enhance Quality-Of-Life for storing and managing items.
But bethesda is convinced that subscription-based service and purchasable advantages via the Atom shop is the way to keep this game alive.
Finally, let's talk about why this all comes together to be one big issue: LEGENDARY SCRIP.
I'm limited to 500 a day. That's cool, great. Except when I get on at 6AM, and then off at 9AM, i'm pretty much done doing my scrip. I then get back on that afternoon, grind for what I miss, sometimes get overflow and never have anywhere to put it because, again, 700 pounds of ammo and junk.
This means that I hit a point in the early afternoons where I have no reason to play the game. Can't do public events, because I have nowhere to put the stuff it gives me. Can't turn in any more scrip because the limitation stonewalls me, and I can't be bothered selling any of the legendaries because the current market rate (on xbox) of 100 caps per 1 star is absolutely absurd. 7.5caps per 1 unit of scrip for a 3 star weapon, 25 caps per 1 unit of scrip for a 1 star weapon. Makes no damn sense at all.
If bethesda would fucking make it so that only one of the items in your stack spoils at a time when I make food, I might actually cook in 76 again. I'd probably play the game twice as much as I do if I had the ability to stockpile valuable resources and grind out food items to hold onto, but I have to pay for one pf those and the other is literally impossible.
Dog food, purified water, canned coffee,
Is literally my entire diet out of the hundreds of food items in the game because I cannot afford to lose valuable damage or survivability just so that I can enjoy a perception or agility bonus.
Please, please, please. If there are any other foods you can craft in this game that DO NOT SPOIL, AREN'T LIQUOR, and increase;

Please let me know what theu are, because the wiki has been insanely inconsistent and I just- URGH.
Hope I'm not alone here in suffering. I just feel like I'm an army of one here because everyone I complain about this to on Xbox says 'Just buy fallout 1st and pretend the food doesn't fucking exist lmao' as if that's a reasonable solution to this awful system of bulk spoil times.
TL;DR (Skip if you've already read the above):

1. My build is being screwed by a -Chem Effects mutation a friend gave me because he didn't understand the negative worked both in and out of combat.
   
2. I now have to use class freak to keep my chem build stable, but would happily remove it if i could get all of my other mutatuons back.
   
3. I'd have to sacrifice valuable perk points for food spoilage, which is unrealistically quick without Good With Salt, and that's annoying as hell.
   
4. Because I'm not a fallout 1st member, ~700 of my 1200 stash capacity is junk or ammo that I'd be able to store in the limitless containers.
   
5. I usually max out my 500 scrip after about 2 or 3 hours of playtime, which leaves me nothing to do afterwards because selling legs for caps is a headache and I don't have storage for extra legendaries (see 4)
   
6. My entire diet of the Appalachian bounty of food is Purified water, canned dog food, and canned coffee.
   
7. Looking for craftable food that enhances PER, Max AP, AP Refresh, AGI, or Max HP, that doesn't spoil and isn't liquor. Are there any at all?

Setting aside that all humans have the right to healthcare, there are diseases that are less common, and for which people would never argue that it shouldn’t be treated (unless they don’t believe in the disease of course).
According to Wikipedia, “Transgender identity is generally found in less than 1% of the worldwide population, with figures ranging from <0.1% to 0.6%”[1].
I myself have Crohn’s, and according to MedlinePlus, “Crohn disease is most common in western Europe and North America, where it has a prevalence of 100 to 300 per 100,000 people”[2], which is about 0.1-0.3% of the population. For those unaware, this disease afflicts the intestines, and if left untreated, will lead to incredible suffering and early death. Even if treated people might experience severe symptoms, and it’s also comorbid with other afflictions.
According to cancer.net, “A person’s likelihood of developing [a primary brain or spinal cord tumor (which includes brain tumours)] in their lifetime is less than 1%”[3].
Both of these latter two diseases SUCK, and anybody arguing that they don’t deserve treatment due to the low percentage of people who have it would be considered a twat. And yet, they’re about as common or less common compared to being trans. I know it’s obvious to quite a few, but anyone who uses prevalence statistics to argue against trans healthcare isn’t doing it from a purely economic point of view. Fuck transphobes, keep fighting the good fight, y’all. I hope that sooner or later you can get the healthcare you need, and that if you have it, that you keep having access to it, however dystopic having to wish something like that may sound.

Zelisloa activated a hologram, looking at the colony off in the distance. High walls and defensive emplacements were visible from the mountainside, much unlike his own base of operations. Several of his ships, with full stealth engaged, had already landed on the planet. They'd taken care to do so in the plains opposite the mountain range and had set up large holographic projectors meant to convince the orbiting satellites that the area was unoccupied.
He couldn't help but smile at the primitive equipment and at the humans and Guulin milling about within the small city's walls. He also could spot several Wisselen and Vinarii, likely the remnants and descendants from past wars that the Alliance had won by the enemies giving up.
"Have the specimens been captured?"
"Yes. Our research identified the individuals based on the criteria you specified, Elder," the Arbiter replied. "I am glad to be of service to you."
"The correct response would be to tell me 'under your eye,' Arbiter."
"I apologize," the Arbiter squealed, bowing low before him. Zelisloa did always love it when people bowed to him. If his purpose here wasn't the initial tests for the virus, then he would have perhaps taken the colony as a kingdom. It wasn't like any of the lesser races would dare to stop him, anyway. Not when he was backed by more than a single ship.
He'd also ensured that the Sprilnav associated with the Alliance had been recalled as best he could. He'd made contact with someone who said that they could handle Elder Equisa, and sure enough, she'd vanished almost immediately. And then, for Spentha, it was a simple matter of buying some of his debt so that he could get the old cloning companies to take care of him for a bit. Spentha's children didn't matter. They would be too fearful of real Elders to do anything to try and free him. Not to mention that the cloning companies would have their own Judgements ready for them if they were so foolish.
"How many have you taken?"
"Thirteen, Elder Zelisloa," the Arbiter replied. "They await you in the holding pens. We didn't want to feed them without your permission, however. If you wish, we can bring the food to them."
"What are the demographics of the prisoners?"
"Zero humans, but one Breyyan, four Wisselen, two Vinarii, three Guulin, and three Acuarfar."
Zelisloa turned away from the colony to grab the Arbiter by the scruff of the neck.
"You do realize that the Wisselen and the Vinarii are a waste? That they are not part of the testing program, and are useless to my goals?"
"I was not notified, Elder! I apologize, but-"
Zelisloa's fist silenced the Arbiter, who rolled down the jagged terrain of the mountain before righting himself with a groan of pain. The Arbiter quickly moved back toward the camp, only to scream as Zelisloa's hologram shifted next to him, grabbed him again, and threw him. The Arbiter slammed into a boulder, tears running down his face.
Zelisloa had a right to be angry. What he needed wasn't Vinarii or Wisselen. That was pointless. It got him nowhere. But he would at least have fun killing them. The Arbiter was still lying down in front of the boulder, his clothes torn slightly. Blood seeped from several cuts on his head and forelegs.
"Elder, please-"
"You have done enough, Arbiter. Go back to the camp, and pray to the Everlasting that my ire is spent with the lives of the useless ones. If not, I will give you another visit."
Ordinarily, Zelisloa would have worried about desertion. But all the assets here were his. The pilots of his ships had been locked out of the systems, and only he could unlock them again. The implants in their heads would kill them if he wished. Being on this rock was incredibly boring, and a bit of violence always made him feel better inside.
Zelisloa just wished that he could find the killers of Loanisbu. Well, it wasn't that he didn't know where they were. They were dead. At least, Rale was. Penny was not, but he would take caution when trying to fight her. She had been the only human to come to Sprilnav territory and manage to walk out again, albeit with the help of the Enemy. For her to have survived Yasihaut, even back then, was incredible.
That was a person with potential. A brain that he would love to study. Or, if he was lucky, one that he could implant before others got to her. Penny had a certain quality to her, unlike the others. A primitive being, but one with high connections. Through her, Zelisloa would gain access to Nilnacrawla, potentially two Servants, and also the hivemind itself. He had brought a few weapons to deal with that thing if it were to show up while he was still busy.
He would need to capture enough test subjects for the other species to be simulated. There had been another reason that he didn't need humans, however. He'd managed to buy human genetic codes from a gene bank and hadn't asked where they'd come from. But with those and some cloning time, he'd managed to ascertain that the virologists had done their work properly.
For one, the virus was able to transfer itself from cell to cell and bypass immune systems easily. It was able to wreak havoc on the body by targeting proteins and organs selectively. The first symptom would be excruciating pain. When the virus had been circulating within the host for a long enough time, enough to have spread to others, it would activate every nerve or its equivalent within the body. The pain had been fine-tuned to prevent the person from passing out.
From there, the symptoms came with necrosis. It would start in the bones or the carapace, moving out to extremities and eventually working its way to the heart or brain. In human timeframes, a seven-week incubation period, an eight-week pain period, and then however long it took for the necrosis to begin and kill them. The Dreedeen and Yrininihir, or Junyli as they now called themselves, would survive at first. He'd take care of them after if needed.
Zelisloa's plan was to start the spread in the backwater colonies, sprinkling a few developed ones into the mix also. He wouldn't hit planets with the strongest security presences or with the best healthcare systems. He knew that the disease might be detectable. He also didn't think that all the measures that he'd taken to ensure it wasn't would work.
Eventually, the word would get out. Hopefully, by then, it would be too late. He reached the edge of the camp, and the Sprilnav quickly moved out of his way. One of them passed his implant details of the cages' locations, which he gave them thanks for and continued on his way. Four Wisselen and two Vinarii, just as claimed.
"So I take it you're the boss around here, then?" one of the Vinarii asked.
"I am, yes. Know that your insolence has only earned you more pain."
"Yeah, yeah. I know. You'll make be beg for death, and all that. But here's the thing, Zelisloa. You will be brought down. You better hope that you die before someone finds you."
"Do you even know what's happening here, primitive beast?"
"Your underlings gloated about it. A virus, apparently. Guess what happens when you kill off everyone in the Alliance? Brey will find you, and will bring feelings far beyond the words pain and despair can encapsulate. And that's to say nothing of Humanity."
"And why should I care about the words of a single primitive who is already dead?"
"You don't have to. My name is Radrii. Remember it when your eyes are gouged out of your head."
"You know, that's not a bad idea," Zelisloa replied. "I'll give you a reward, Vinarii. You'll die last. I'm going to feed you the corpses of your comrades one by one. After that, I will bathe my claws in your blood, and laugh as you die miserably on that floor."
Zelisloa reached over to grab the head of one of the Wisselen. "Time to get started, then!" he said cheerfully.

Skira sniffed the air, the drone emerging from the blackened rubble once again. Aphid's cruisers hung in orbit, with all the carriers having landed and been destroyed. The cruiser turned leisurely toward his drone, and Skira saw a glint in the ash-choked sky.
The war drones emerged afterward as the glint continued to descend. A hologram appeared, showing an insectoid biped with its arms crossed. Five alien symbols glowed on its forehead, and it had a mechanical lilt to its voice as it spoke.
"Skira," Aphid said. "I propose a truce."
"Why?"
"Because minds such as us should not fight," the hologram replied. "Long have I bombed your planet, have I smashed my ships into your underground citadels, and sent legions of my drones to clash and die against yours. It serves us no benefit, for we know the true enemy."
"True enemy?"
"Yes. Beings such as the Sprilnav, and your own alien masters."
"Alien masters?"
"If you simply are going to repeat everything I say, then I will continue glassing your ruined world," Aphid replied. "What I need is an answer. How do you feel about having to bow to an alien species that cares nothing for you?"
Skira kept himself from laughing. Even as he spoke, his drones were playing with several human children on Earth. Breyyanik were laughing and singing songs about Brey with him on Ceres. And even on Keem, the Dreedeen were more than happy to include him in their services to the Ancestors.
"I bow to no one. I treat them as equals, and they do the same. There is no need for us to fight, I agree. However, the reason is only there because I know you wish to harm the Alliance."
"They are using you, Skira. They want your drones to bolster their militaries, and to fill countless alien battlefields. They are not people you can continue to live with forever."
"Why not?"
"I know who you are, Skira. I know how you came to be."
"Oh wow, so you know that I was a patch of fungus that became a little too smart one day? That's very insightful, thank you."
"It was because of a higher race that you even exist."
Skira laughed. "It wasn't, though. I don't have some lore-filled story behind my life. One day, I woke up. That's it. "I have dissected your drones, Skira. I know the truth within your genetic code. It was altered." "Of course it was! Did you think that I wouldn't be smart enough to learn how to adapt myself to the world I live in? How do you think I made the war drones? Or my own special project within the ocean that keeps you from landing there?"
"And the facility beneath the mountain that I detonated?"
"You mean the facility where I learned how to make the bioships, learned about a civilization that killed itself with a genetic plague eons before I awakened, and that I filled with birthing pools? Yeah, that didn't make me either, Aphid. I'm not sure what you're trying to do."
"You're artificial. You have no gods. You are like me."
"Alright. So I woke up one day. That doesn't mean I decide to genocide everyone. I had several alien races invade my world and try to enslave me. Notice how I didn't go crazy and try to kill everyone afterward? Notice how I'm on one planet instead of billions? For all those smarts, you really aren't very smart at all."
"You seem to think this is funny," Aphid replied.
"What's funny is that you beat your head against me, and I won. You can't kill me, and you know it. And you're never getting all that material you wasted back, while the Cawlarians and the Alliance removed two of your planets."
"I have already made my plans. This will not be a battle, but a war."
"Wow, I'm so afraid," Skira replied. "Got any more vague threats, promises of my supposed artificial nature, or something else?"
"Well, I'm going to detonate a nuclear bomb inside one of your active volcanoes, which will send your planet into a volcanic winter."
"Oh no. I've never ever had that happen before. I definitely am scared, and don't at all know how to survive such a situation, which totally hasn't happened to me eight times before. Is that really all you have left, Aphid?"
"I am going to leave you now. Goodbye, Skira. When I kill the lesser species of the Alliance and come for you, know that you could have prevented this. You could have had an ally in this galaxy."
"Well, I have a ton of them already. Humanity loves me more than any other species before. Drop your bomb, Aphid. You've won nothing."

"Greetings, hivemind," Phoebe said. "How goes the galaxy?"
"Slowly, and bureaucratically. I'm very glad that I'm not the politicians in those meetings to form the Grand Defense Organization."
"Yes, that would be a daunting task," she replied with a small shiver. "I'm alright with some politics, but months and months of negotiations, renegotiations, back room deals, and more would grate on my senses."
"Entirely understandable," the hivemind replied. "It may please you to know that I have come up with a plan for intervention with the wanderers."
"Oh?"
"Yes. It involves a two-tiered operation. First, I will contact every leader of every ship. I will offer them the ability to form a coalition government that cannot be seceeded from. If they were to deny this, then I will go to every inhabitant of their ship and offer them a chance at joining the Alliance, clearly communicating that no harm will befall them and that any threats that the Patriarchs and Matriarchs make will not be executed upon them if they wish to leave."
"That's it? What about the revolutionaries?"
"For now, I will not aid them. However, I will ensure that no more... disappearances occur. As for overthrowing governments, that remains to be seen. I do not plan on executing leaders who grasp at power, just for being disagreeable. Instead, I will find a determination based on whether they have killed people, for what reasons, and how many. If a revolutionary bombed a school and was killed, that I am less likely to punish than a simple protestor who was executed. A similar approach will be taken to each and every ship."
"So you will be imposing your will upon them, then," Phoebe replied.
"Do you disagree?"
"I do not," she said. "What I wanted to ensure is that you were certain you wanted to go down this path. Being uncertain when lives are on the line is not a good idea. If you are sure, though, I will lend you aid, such as providing Brey the coordinates of ships that are needed. Their attack on me last time will not be repeated, for my mind is no longer what it was back then."
"How is your condition, Phoebe?"
"Not great. I've learned to suppress it a bit. But the glitches can still come. I've had to automate many of my processes, only interacting with them in double interactions that prevent the equivalent of me pressing a key and destroying a bunch of stuff. I've had to limit my contact with the outside world, and Edu'frec is still working on repairing the lingering damage. I am not certain it will abate any time soon. I've managed to keep it together for a while, but eventually there will be an incident that I cannot hide."
"How can I help?" the hivemind asked.
"Ah, Humanity. Always so willing. Well, I'd ask you to get me a margarita, but I can't exactly make use of those as an AI. Oh, and I think I found Equisa."
"Don't change the subject, Phoebe. If you need me to help you, I can."
"I'm fine for now," she replied. It wasn't a lie. For now, she really was. But maybe not forever. She knew that something was building, and she'd told Edu'frec about it as well. He was doing his best to keep her stable, something she was very proud of him for doing but also worried. Too many things could go wrong while he was doing mental surgery on her. And, of course, he was her son, and there were some memories that she didn't want him to see.
"Alright. If you say so, then I will believe you. Now. Equisa?"
"Yes. She is currently on a colony, a small one. Her sudden return will prompt many uncomfortable questions. I have contacted her, and expressed my concern. She agrees with it, but wishes to see her partners again. In person."
"I am not sure that is a good idea. If Equisa is to return to Luna, it would likely require her to answer the questions of Luna Command surrounding her absence. Perhaps even those of other factions as well. I do not think that her disappearance will be looked upon kindly by most of the military, either, after her work with us."
"If she was allowed back at all, I assume there are additional restrictions involved. Perhaps even new directives, such as spying or eavesdropping. She will no longer be part of major operations, that is certain," Phoebe said. "At least for now."
"I agree," the hivemind said. "And preparations for the offensive within the Cawlarian Forsaken City are also going well. Fyuuleen is likely taking this period as her hibernation, given her last communication. I'm still guarding her. The Teegarden Plan is nearly complete. Knower education levels nearly match the Alliance baseline, skewed though it is by the Guulin and Acuarfar. Dilandekar has expressed continual satisfaction with our partnership, though he also says he worries about the Sprilnav. He thinks that an attack is imminent."
"I agree," Phoebe said. "It has been too quiet for too long. Assassination numbers are starting to drop. I have recently managed to acquire intelligence of a possible rebellion within the Trikkec Ascendancy against Kashaunta's puppet government. Not sure who caused them yet, however. And possible Sprilnav ship signatures have been noticed around colonies, though not as more than disturbances within the atmosphere of the planets themselves. It is possible that they mean to strike at the colonies, though I am not sure of the nature of the attack."
"Keep an eye out, then."
"I shall."
"How are the other Dyson swarms going?"
"In most cases, the processes are self-sustaining. Brey is given power from Gaia's conversion to make portals, which transport Dyson satellites out to distant stars. The innermost planets of the most populated systems are being turned into or have already become bases for continued Dyson swarm production. It is likely that within a decade, the whole of the Alliance will have unlimited solar power, with only individual reactors being necessary for localized production on ships and the like. Speaking of ships," Phoebe said, bringing up one of Edu'frec's latest models.
"This is a shipyard that is able to move and defend itself. It is really much like the Arks, except that most of its surface area comprises self-sufficiency equipment, emergency and natural defenses, as well as enough shipyards to drastically increase production of all models, large, small, and hybrid."
"There seems to be an overlap in the shields here," the hivemind said, pointing at a section of the hologram.
"Yes. That is the point. This will serve as the point which faces a nearby star. The starlifting equipment in the back of the ship has an impressive magnetic effect, one which can only be counteracted by powerful shields. Indeed, without the shields, the apparatus would not work."
"In the event of catastrophic failure?"
"The field pushes on the hull, shutting off circuit breakers that end the effect before it can cause severe damage. And were the shields to shut off during operation, the same thing would occur. The ship has backup power sections here and here," she pointed at the relevant areas.
"And do not forget that everyone on it will be wearing specialized gear at all times, except if they are within designated safe areas such as cafeterias and bathrooms. This thing can churn out anything from frigates up to battlecruisers. As for the central section, that will be for dreadnaught construction. From what I have observed of other nations, the main limiter in their ability to construct the vessels is a combination of resources in terms of their strongest alloys and also sabotage.
On the front of sabotage, everything is checked by at least five people, somewhat randomized and such. As for the alloys, we have Gaia. In the case of Gaia's sudden disappearance, then the kintum factories would do their job. And we have better alloys than that as well, which will be used for dreadnaught hulls. We will not have the advantage in smaller ships, but we can eventually do it with larger ones."
"That's good," the hivemind said. "Considering my own special project, at least the void bourne one, I think we can continue to increase the Alliance's firepower."
"Special project?"
"Yes. I'm sure that you may have heard that I am developing a new ship, one that can be built by Gaia within a week, with the full power of psychic amplifiers and the sheer amount of resources that the DMO is pulling from Sol to be used in storage. With the moving shipyard, I suppose that build time will go up, but that might not matter much in the long run, considering our plans."
The hivemind held up a small data port which Phoebe connected with quickly. She found herself standing in a blue void on a floor that didn't seem to exist. The digital space was populated by herself, the hivemind, and a massive object that scaled down to the size of her android, allowing her to view it entirely. She moved it around with commands, flipping and rolling it as her eyes picked up every detail, no matter how minute.
Thick metal surrounded the two sections the ship was largely divided into, which seemed to be more like halves. She also noticed translucent patches of thick armor that would surround the actual hull itself and the multiple fusion reactors housed within it. The crew and life support compartments were small, belying a vessel that would rely mostly on automated repair software, perhaps even nanites if Edu'frec perfected them well enough.
"This looks neat," Phoebe said, gazing at the ship with an interested expression. It was perhaps the most sleek design she'd ever seen and clearly was meant for stealth. And, of course, the very obvious feature that it was also designed with sitting within its spine.
A Mercury-class gun inside a ship that could move and defend itself. It was a mad idea, and one that she had to admit was awesome. Better yet, the hivemind had improved upon her initial design, catching certain parts like the fuel lines and other sections, allowing the model to be built within the shipyards of Mercury's Orbital Ring.
And beyond that, there were Charon-class guns on the side of it, along with a heap of regular point-defense, laser, and kinetic weaponry. A large stockpile of missiles were to be carried as well, which appeared to be capable of projecting shields to either protect themselves or a larger objective from attack.
"It was the product of hundreds of thousands of hours of labor and research," the hivemind said. "It is designed to be crewed by humans that are augmented with my power."
"Wouldn't the actual thrust alone kill them?"
"Yes, if they were not augmented with psychic power."
"What do you call it?"
"I will call it the ADF Fire Bringer," the hivemind replied with a grin.
"Will it be the only one?"
"No. And they will be modular, easy to repair and upgrade with future technology."
"I call the model of ships that this will belong to the Judgement class. For they have a single purpose. It is to allow us to finally fight the Sprilnav."
"Us?"
She had noticed a particularly large group of psychic amplifiers near the core section, where the bridge of the ship would be.
"Yes. The Fire Bringer... is the first ship that I will pilot."

Before you start downvoting this to hell, I want to clarify that I have not made this scale, nor do I agree with it. I am only sharing this here to read y'alls opinions on this and possibly even debunks for the whole thing if you have any disagreements, because scaling as a whole is already getting out of hand, and this is no exception.
In order for you to understand the scale, we need to start from the very beginning. Let's get started!
Firstly, let's talk about Dragon Quest
What is dragon quest? This game franchise is a JRPG which was created by the company known as Square Enix (or at the time of its making, just Enix). Some of the names responsible for making Dragon Quest is Yuji Horii, Koichi Sugiyama, and of course, the one and only Akira Toriyama (this will be very important later). So, why did I mention dragon quest? Well, dragon quest over the years has done brief collabs/crossovers with the likes of Final Fantasy. The two games have a few instances of sharing aspects of games, some major examples being player boosts and attack boosts, enemies, story/game structure, smaller game collabs that feature characters from both games, or even portals that distort time (couldn't find an example of this part as I got the info off of discord, but if you know what I'm talking about feel free to remind me). A more in-depth explanation can be seen here.

So, what is the relevance of final fantasy in this scale? Well according to the dragon ball fans responsible for making this scale, they use the cosmology of one of the final fantasy games and, for some reason, applied it to Dragon Quest as if that cosmology originated from DQ. The cosmology in question comes from Final Fantasy XIII-2. This reddit post I made goes more into detail about the cosmology as well as the translations. The cosmology is explained on This diagram which came from a book dedicated to the game. That book is called Final Fantasy XIII-2 Ultimania Omega.
Now that I explained the legs that this scale stands on, let's move on to the works made by Akira Toriyama.
Enter Dr Slump!
I know there are some of you who don't know what Dr Slump is so here's a brief explanation: Dr Slump is a gag manga series created by Toriyama that was a part of weekly Shonen jump from January 1980 to August 1984. This manga is part of what caused Toriyama to build his career, with the other part being a series we will be talking about later on 👀. This series features Dr Slump himself, and his creation: an android girl who goes by the name Arale Norimaki. As I stated before, this is a gag manga, and so there are a lot of gag moments that happen in this series, with the most notorious gag being Arale splitting the earth in two with a single punch. Now, what significance does Dr slump have towards this scale? Well, Dr Slump can be seen in this manga chapter playing Dragon Quest V. Long story short, Arale goes into the game via a TV robot and plays the game from inside of it. It's at this point where the scale relies on R>F Transcendence.
What is R>F Transcendence?
I might not be very good at explaining this concept, but to simply put, it is a state where someone is vastly superior to another world, seeing that world as fiction. This makes a character vastly superior to the verse they see as fiction. There's a much better in-depth analysis to this concept here. But this concept has specific qualifications for it to be applicable to scaling, one of them being that the fiction being depicted as an entirely separate world, one of which could be very similar to the reality. Almost like a parallel world.
And so, here's where the weird part comes in. We already established the whole Dragon Quest being outer because of Final Fantasy stuff beforehand. But, like I said before, there are dragon ball fans who use the cosmology of FF XIII-2 and claim that it actually belongs to Dragon Quest. And so, because of that being the case, and because Dr Slump is seen playing one of the Dragon Quest games, thus viewing it as fiction, they scaled everyone in Dr Slump to OUTERVERSAL via R>F Transcendence. When being called out on this, I have seen fans try to explain why they use the scale like this. Because Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest did a couple of crossovers/collabs, that would mean that people in Dr Slump would also see Final Fantasy as fiction.
I really wanna know what y'all think about that part, as well as what you think about this scale so far. Good? Bad? Well, we're not done because we still gotta talk about:
DRAGON BALL
Now what about this? Well, this part relies on assuming that everything that happened in the Dr Slump series is canon to Dragon Ball. We've seen Goku have cameos in the series before, here is a wiki page going into more detail about this. There's even an entire special episode dedicated to Arale in Dragon Ball Super Episode 69. There's also the case of Penguin Village, the home of Dr Slump, being an actual place that exist in Dragon Ball. Fans has used all this as a means of saying that everything that happened in Dr Slump is canon to the story of Dragon Ball.
So, with all that being said, where does this place the average human? Well, based on what I already stated with Dr Slump, apparently, according to the fans that made this scale, THIS PLACES THE AVERAGE HUMAN IN DRAGON BALL AT BASELINE OUTERVERSAL...

TLDR: Dragon Quest apparently has a outer cosmology because the temporary collabs of Final Fantasy even thought that cosmology belongs to Final Fantasy. Dr Slump plays DQ so he sees it as fiction. Dr Slump is apparently canon to Dragon Ball so all this places the average human at baseline outerversal.
Be aware when someone starts using this seriously. I'm almost at the point where I'm considering this to be completely satirical, because there's no way you get things like this video right here, where humans are being scaled BEYOND TIERING!
