hello! i submitted my requirements to st lukes college of medicine last wednesday and they told me that they would call regarding my interview schedule. how many days before u guys received urs?

Hello! I recently bought a 2007 s2000 with about 123000 miles on it to share the fun with my fiesta st. The car was waiting on a clutch install for about 7 weeks and I’ve been driving it just this past week. I drove maybe 2.5 hours to get it and on the way home the check engine light came on. The place that did the install, ended up breaking the knock sensor, and I drove it for a while like that and scanned it a couple days ago. It just got replaced today. Do you think it’s necessary to reset the ecu after? I did hoon it several times before the engine code came up but I was more tame with it afterwards. I wasn’t sure if the trims needed to be reset or not. I’m pretty sure they had the battery disconnected while it was waiting around.

First off, all required info: Cat, 4-5 years old, spayed female, domestic short hair, about 13 pounds (she’s a bit chunky but we’re working on it), Virginia, US
Alright so background and signs and everything will be in this next block of text. Sorry for bad formatting on mobile yadda yadda.
In July of 2022, I got my sweet grumpy lady Betty White from the shelter. She had no hair on her stomach and just looked… rough. She had been surrendered by her last owner with two other cats but the only thing they knew (they didn’t even know her name) was that she didn’t like other cats at all. When I first got her, she let me do whatever to her. I cut her nails, gave her a bath, etc. first vet visit after getting her, she was prescribed daily allergy pills for her scratching, itching, and over grooming. As well as the overgrooming on the stomach, she would bite and scratch wounds onto herself. She took these pills like a champ, let me do it every day for about 4 weeks and there was no change. Because of personal reasons I had to move and went to a new doctor who said maybe it’s a food allergy. Went on a specific veterinary diet, gave her some steroid shots to calm it all down (which worked!) and then slowly reintroduced other foods. Turned out it was chicken (big sad for her she loves chicken). Every now and then she gets into my family dog’s food or something but overall does well. However, she has recently been having a flare up that has lasted longer than usual and I can’t seem to get anything to help her. The doctor is worried about her weight and the amount of steroid shots she’s had recently, as well as she was attacked by another cat in December and since then hasn’t been as trusting (I’m trying to gain it back). I’ve tried giving her a few mL of liquid Benadryl to help but it doesn’t really touch it. The vet was also concerned it may be OCD or anxiety that causes her to do this because she also “barbers” her hair, but isn’t sure because of the allergy also going on.
Guess I’m mostly asking is it better to try to fight for more steroid shots until this flare up is under control or should I take a closer look at OCD or honestly I’m just at a loss. Anything helps really. Thanks

I am here because I need to scream this into the void. My friends know my main account and I am posting this with my main account because FUCK EM.
So my (29F) friend Trevor (31M) now ex-girlfriend has hated me before the better part of the last 2-ish years and I never knew why until a few days ago. I have known Trevor roughly 6-7 years. He is a member of my larger friend group and existed somewhere between an acquaintance and friend. Halloween party of 2019 Trevor introduces his girlfriend, Raven(30F), to the group. I get a migraine during the party and thus spend most of the party in a dark room. I missed the Christmas party that year due to getting sick and then lockdown happened right before St Patty's party.
Now I went through a transformation during lockdown. In Fall of 2019 I graduated with my Master's and was very reserved, shy, uncomfortable in my skin, and just escaped an abusive relationship. During lockdown, I was faced with my own mortality and decided to live. I started engaging in hobbies I always wanted to try, quit the job that made me sad and started working at an amazing nonprofit, worked out regularly, invested in a closet that highlighted my curves instead of hiding them....etc.
The first party we held again was Halloween of 2021, and I was on cloud nine. I was so excited to see my friends again with my new look and was hugging everyone. When Trevor and Raven walked in, I was admittedly a bit drunk at that time, and I ran and hugged Trevor and re-introduced myself to Raven. She stared draggers at me and I quickly backed off. My other friend suggested that perhaps she wasn't comfortable with physical touch, which made me immediately go over and apologize to her. She told me to f*ck off and I kept my distance the rest of the evening. Every party since then, she's glared at me from corners of room, would offer to get drinks for everyone and "forget" my drink, and would attempt to change the subject when discussing my recent successes. At first I thought I was imagining it, until some of my friends told me that they confronted Trevor and Raven about her behavior towards me. This happened before the Christmas party, which they did not attend.
The other weekend was the annual St Patty's party. Raven and I had a weird conversation about my job, and Tuesday I get a message on FB from Raven. It's her asking me to lunch and saying she wants to apologize for how she's treated me. I am nervous but decide to take the bait and we meet for an early dinner yesterday. She apologizes some more and tells me she broke up with Trevor on Saturday and that I never did anything wrong.
Apparently during lockdown, Raven began suspecting that Trevor was seeing someone else. They moved in together less than a year into their relationship due to her lease ending and wanting to see each other frequently in lockdown. Eventually she went through his phone and found some app that encrypts users and found chats with a woman. She confronted him and he admitted to it, but then she realized she was trapped. There was no affordable housing in our area and she gave up her apartment. He eventually convinced her to stay and work on their relationship. She had no options and agreed. She admits she didn't want to know who the other woman was at first because she was worried they would be like a 6 foot tall model or something. She went through his laptop and found p*rn searches for "big tit black woman" repeatedly which made her self-conscious.
Guess what's a good description of me?
When I hugged Trevor at that Halloween party, "everything just clicked." She was convinced I was the affair partner and it wasn't helped by the fact that the man I was dating at the time was openly poly. She figured I was poly as well and was the "I want to f*ck everyone" poly stereotype. That night she confronted him asking if I was the other woman and (according to her atleast) instead of correcting her, this idiot said something along the lines of
"I thought you didn't want to know."
At that point everything I did pissed her off. She felt like me flourishing was a direct attack to her. She wanted to ruin me, but she knew my friends of the past decade wouldn't believe her and Trevor refused to admit it was me. So she was miserable at every event the past two years. At the St Patty's day party she overheard me talking about being the entirety of the asexual representation at my job at my job at an LGBT center. She entered the convo to ask me questions about asexuality cause she never heard the word before. I am used to this and give her the elevator pitch about demisexuality, how I don't really find people hot, how I was friends with my current partner for a decade before I was like "I could sleep with him," a funny story about dirty talk giving me the ick...etc. She realized at that moment that there was no way I was the girl in the sexually charged/aggressive messages.
She went home and cried and realized she didn't know who f*cked her boyfriend. And then she said she had a weird realization that it didn't matter who he f*cked but that he f*cked someone else. She had been so focused on finding out the who and getting proof that the other woman was me that she just overlooked her boyfriend was a cheater. It was no longer lockdown and she had options, so she dumped him.
She kept apologizing and said I didn't deserve how she treated me that last few years. I was in shock, I don't even think I gave her a real response besides "Yah, it's cool." Like I sat there eating my ribs (she was mean to me for 2 years, she can pay 25 bucks for my meal) with my mouth just open. Which sucks cause none of this is cool. She is going to stay with a friend who is not in our friend group. After dinner I went to call Trevor and he apologized and tried to say she was crazy. He said he had "a one night stand" and she was convinced it was me. I asked him, if he corrected her, and he claims he tried to but "gave up" because she wouldn't believe him. This idiot then made a comment along the lines of that there was no way he could have a one night stand with me since I am "out of his league."
I got the ick and hung up. He texted me apologizing for his dumb ass comment but I don't even want to deal with that now.
I'm just flabbergasted/in shock.
How did I live rent free in this relationship for 2 years and didn't even know about it?

The whole idea of a Pride Night is that the team and the organisation are saying, together, "if you're queer you should still feel safe and welcome coming to a hockey game" - which, it should be pointed out, is not a particularly divisive message. (It would be pretty notable if Eric Staal went on record saying "yeah, if you're gay, you should expect to get beat up here, better stay home!") A player warming up in that jersey is not assumed to be personally advocating for any particular thing, they're just being part of the team.
Refusing to participate in warmups as a protest to this message is directly undermining your team. It would be completely reasonable for a team to say "if you don't warm up with us, you don't play." Again, they're not expecting anybody to go to a gay bachelor party, they're just wearing a novelty jersey like they do for military day or St Patrick's Day or breast cancer or countless other causes. And teams are obviously still willing to scratch players for team discipline reasons - Drouin was just scratched for missing a meeting, if memory serves.
So the real message is that the extremely marginal contributions of a couple fossilized Staals or a mediocre Mennonite goaltender are more valuable than team cohesion or the safety of queer people. It's just weak and sad.

We are EBF but I am nervous to sleep train because my guy is a bad eater. He gets so distracted and when he does get bottles only does ~2-3oz for that feeding. I’m just not sure if he’s getting enough during the day. I’ve tried weighted feeds but I’m finding them to be inconsistent. Do I need to switch over to bottles to attempt ST so I know definitively he has a full tummy? I am not opposed to CIO but it would crush me if he was actually crying from hunger. Right now we are at about 2-3 wakings including a dream feed.

I was thinking about this today and thought about why I always thought that. I wanted to make this post to see if anyone else can relate as well as just to get it off my chest like a diary entry. Maybe how to tackle this mindset? I'm not desperate to get over it but I would like to be able to enjoy more things in life generally. So let me explain.
I'm 20 years old now (born in '02), I've never been particularly patient in general and have autism. Not sure if it's worth saying but now we have all the pieces. My entire life till I was around 18 I pretty much ignored movies personally for that one reason: They're too long, I get bored quick. I knew this was true and not a one time thing I thought as a kid because it was constantly reinforced by my Dad. He would make me and my brother sit down and watch movies, start to finish. If he wanted us to watch something he'd just sit us down and put it on. He wouldn't let me simply not watch because I didn't want to. I HAD to. It was so annoying and being a small kid I was too scared to really push back. It felt like a punishment. I would ask to go to the bathroom, he'd pause it and I would be like "No no you can play it, I don't mind." Just hoping I could spend some time alone doing nothing in the bathroom to have a break while burning through the movies runtime. Sometimes it was going to a theater in which case I was too afraid of sounding like an asshole for saying no as it's meant to be a good thing so we just went and I would silently wanna go home the whole time.
This forceful movie crap didn't happen very often and it was the only time I ever actually watched movies. I watched the first Star Wars like that (in fact, that's where that memory of me wanting to escape to the bathroom comes from. I remember that happening while Luke stares at the sunset near the beginning). I also watched the live action Transformers that way when each one came out up till 4. A couple Disney movies, etc. I haven't been forced to watch a movie in many years as I learned to just stand my ground around age 14-15, he didn't really put up much of a fight, guess he knew his days of being in total control were over. For years I didn't watch anything but Youtube content till around 18 when some movies I'd hear about would interest me and I considered watching them. Nowadays I watch only a few movies I year. The past 2 years I could count the movies I've watched on my 2 hands.
I'm interested in a lot of movies but rarely take the plunge, I don't even have a favourite movie genre. I watched Borat a few years back and really liked it. When the Giga Chad and Patrick Bateman memes were in full-swing I watched American Psycho and thought it was great and really interesting. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was fun but, felt a little drawn out. I liked the setting though, really liked the indulgence on the Vegas aesthetic with most scenes being full of bright colours and lights. Oh, and one time, real curve ball for me. I watched the first Saw movie, and I loved it. The ending was so good to me that I made a cup of tea, sat back down and watched the second film straight after. No idea what came over me but I was captivated and enjoyed the second one and that ending even more XD About a week later I watched 3 and it was really good. I hear that 4 onwards are directed by someone else and where the plot gets dumb so I haven't gone past 3. I don't wanna watch a Saw film without John Kramer, he is just so cool. I've always been particular and drawn in by voices and voice actors. Tobin Bell's voice in Saw to me is dreamy. I really liked how 2 has a lot of just him sitting and talking... Aaaanyways.
I did try to rewatch the first live action Transformers film again, but 5 minutes into the introduction to Sam (the main human character) I'm bored and outta there. Even though seeing that helicopter transform and blow shit up at the start was really exciting, went from 100 to zero right away. Plus I recognize the scenes from when I was forced to sit and watch it and I don't think that helps. I really hated that but just suffered in silence as a kid. I always thought "Who cares about the humans? I just wanna see the cool robots fight each other." Not much has changed in my opinions of action movies I see.
As for other media, I LOVE video games. Funnily enough I have no patience for movies but can sit and play games all day. I played Yakuza Kiwami 2 for 12 hours just a couple days back. I've always loved all sorts of games, that's my passion and hobby. So it always confused me how I can sit still and engage with a game for hours and yet I can't spare 1 or 2 for a movie. Obviously video games have consistent personal engagement while movies just happen and you watch with no input so there's that. But even still, I've never liked or understood how movies make my brain turn off immediately unless I spend months building up to the idea of watching one, then being proud of myself for being able to watch one and telling all my friends about it next time I talk to them.
One final thing, I know I could watch a movie in segments to break it apart. But I just know if I started doing that I would build up a list of hundreds of barely started movies I never finish. This is not a movie thing, this is a me thing because I'm like this with anything that I can do in one sitting instead of many. It either gets done all at once, or not at all. Things I like doing I start and the hours just fly by and I finish it even if I didn't plan to. But things I don't like, if I don't get it done in one go it'll likely stay half done. So movies, never wanted to chance it and end up wasting several half hours on movies I won't finish.

What you said makes sense; people in the past had to send more mail since they didn't have other options. It's crazy how fast technology changes compared to other parts of society. Consumer tech changes especially quickly.
