Maxwell Alejandro Frost has laughed off criticism after he yelled at Ron DeSantis while performing on stage at a Paramore concert on Friday night.
The Florida congressman joined the rock band for a barnstorming rendition of their hit song “Misery Business” during a show at Capitol One Arena in Washington DC.
When a clip of Mr. Alejandro Frost’s outburst was posted to Twitter by the Conservative War Machine account, he replied “lol they’re so mad”.
“I said what I said,” he wrote in another post.
The 26-year-old shared several photos of himself with Williams onstage and after the show.
“Very grateful for this moment. I’ve been practicing in the shower for YEARS,” he posted alongside a video of him rocking out with the band.
Earlier this week Williams told fans during a performance at the Adjacent Music Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey, that anyone who votes for Mr. DeSantis is “dead” to her.
Mr. DeSantis announced his candidacy for the 2024 Republican presidential primary last week.
Paramore’s This Is Why Tour continues in Cleveland on Sunday.

I saw this ad from Domestika and I saw Bearbrickjia, one of my favorite artists, is selling a course there. I am interested in learning that art style so I am considering buying the course. However, in her course, she is using Photoshop. I only have Clip Studio Paint :<
Is it still a good idea to buy the course or are there stuff in Photoshop that cannot be done in Clip Studio? Would appreciate tips for leads where I can buy a good course with similar art style and learn Clip Studio as well.

There's a character mentioned briefly in BotW and TotK: The "Ancient Hero" from the first Calamity 10000 years ago that sealed Ganon at the time. We see him briefly in a tapestry from BotW and then in full detail as an armour set in TotK. Most fans quickly came to the conclusion he was a Zonai, being a new race of beast-like peoples with similarly dark fur. Ultimately, though, I believe this isn't the case.
For starters, they aren't actually that biologically similar. Take a moment to look at Rauru and Mineru, the last of the Zonai according to the game. While they share dark fur and beast traits, the resemblance stops there. I'll go from general to specific, here, so refer to the pictures or your own as you need. For starters: The fur! I don't actually think the Ancient Hero has any, or if he does, it's incredibly fine. On the model of Link, they simply swap the colour of his skin to match the dark fur on the torso, and up at his ears, it lacks the fluffiness and colour differentiation present on both Mineru and Rauru. Then there's the proportions: Rauru and Mineru are all torso. It's not always made clear in the cutscenes due to framing, but both of their torsos' make up over half of their whole height, and they have rather stubby legs. Ancient Hero, instead has legs making up a more human percentage of the body. (This particular one may be a limitation of the armor being applied to link -- ultimately it still needs to be rigged to similar dimensions or there would be clipping issues.) Next, the Ancient Hero has three toes, beastly feet, and digitigrade ankles. Despite their beastly appearance, Rauru and Mineru have human legs and even humanoid feet, and it's reasonable to assume all Zonai did as the Zonai Wing device also features skeletal, five-toed, humanoid feet. Next, the third eye: Rauru and Mineru both have a third eye on their forehead, and this third eye is also depicted in a variety of Zonai artwork so it is fair to assume Zonai all share this trait. The Ancient Hero, however, does not. While there is an ornament adorning the location of one on the armour, no matter how I look at it I don't get the impression there is an eye there. Lastly... tails! Rauru and Mineru don't have them. The Ancient Hero has a quite prominent lion-esque tail that you can see in gameplay.
Now, biological differences alone can't really make this arguement. We've only seen two Zonai, and they are directly related, being brother and sister. Their biology might also be altered by their role as royalty, like King Dorephan compared to average Zora. It's also possible the Zonai are just a race with higher biodiversity than we've seen in the other sentient species of Hyrule. So... I have other points!
The next one is a simple placement of timing. The ancient hero and the first Calamity are not the same event as Rauru's Imprisoning War against Ganondorf as depicted in TotK. While we don't get an exact timeframe from the game itself, the Imprisoning War seems to be an event prior to the First Calamity, and by quite a number of years. Sheikah technology is undeveloped and the Hylians seem to be a tribal people with little development outside of what the Zonai give them. By the time of the First Calamity (which is 10000 years before current day), Sheikah technology has propogated to the point they created the four Divine Beasts and countless guardians to fight. Additionally, Zonai technology is completely absent from the depiction, which you wouldn't expect if such a high-technology race was still present and available. Additionally, both Impa and Purah recognize you as the Ancient Hero at a glance when they see you, despite having no knowledge of the Zonai and expressing shock when seeing the ruins. Finally, Ganondorf explicitly refers to Rauru and his sister as "the last of the Zonai" prior to the Imprisoning War, and Rauru doesn't deny this or make any sign that this is untrue.
There's one problem with my theory though... As much as I wish to deny the Ancient Hero being a biological Zonai, based on both physicality and timelines... he's wearing Zonai armour. Both the colour, shapes, and symbolism on the armour of the Ancient Hero's Aspect all align with Zonai culture, in fact, it's identical to the Zonaite armour set with the exception of a lack of helmet. It's hard to deny the armour itself is Zonai... but why can't it be? My theory is that the Zonai constructs imbued the armour they had with the aspect of the hero, but the armour isn't actually something he wore. Refer back to the Ancient Hero as presented in the tapestry. While there are a variety of colours on different parts of his body, so we can assume he was wearing some kind of clothes or armour, the locations of no particular colour actually line up with where the Zonai armour is. Ergo, he probably wasn't wearing it.
So... where does this leave us? The Ancient Hero isn't a Zonai, nor is he any of the races that remain in Hyrule today. My theory is it's actually sequel -- or I suppose prequel bait. The Zonai were almost entirely unmentioned in the original BotW. They are referenced at one set of ruins that are completely optional, and that's it. Weird to elevate a mystery so small if you didn't already have plans for it, eh? I think that's what's happening here. Whatever the ancient hero is, it is something for us to ponder over to hold our interest for the next game. Dare I say, a prequel set in the first Great Calamity? As for what his race actually is, I can only guess it is a new incarnation of an old beast race like Wolfos or Mogma. I don't really expect it to be an entirely new species like the Zonai a second time in a row, but Nintendo's done weirder things before.
So, whaddya think? Did I overlook some gaping hole? What is the Ancient Hero, and why did they model him like that?

This was a special that CBS aired on May 29th 1985, staring Bob Keeshan, better known as Captain Kangaroo. This may be partially lost media, but part of it has surfaced within the past few years, specifically this hilariously homoerotic clip of Rex Smith singing David Bowie's Boys Keep Swinging. There was also a New York Times review of the special, but that is all I have ever been able to find of it. I saw the Rex Smith video, and became deeply curious about what exactly the rest of it was, but I have reason to believe it might still be out there somewhere.

Sometime around late 2021 - early 2022 I came across a YouTube video claiming to be an unused animatic from the 70's for a potential edit made to the American dub of Speed Racer. In reality, the description specified this was actually just a college project of some sort.
The video opened with text claiming that the people in charge of the American dub of Speed Racer were unhappy with how the confrontation between Speed and Racer X goes down in the 50th episode. They then show a clip from the ending where Speed asks Racer X if he's his older brother, only for Racer X to punch him in the gut, rendering Speed unconscious. Then more text appears claiming that the people in charge planned to reanimate a completely different ending before ultimately deciding to cancel, and the animatic they are about to show us was all that was ever worked on. Finally, the video shows the animatic, which is just semi-detailed pencil art to sell the effect, which shows Speed still asking Racer X if he's his older brother. Only now Racer X decides to unmask himself and confess that he is Speed's brother. The two then hug before Racer X decides that he must still go into hiding and quit being a racer to become a full time special agent.
I really liked this video, despite how my description may sound, and would love to watch it again. Does anyone know what this is?

Everyone at my store was hyping them up this year so I was super excited and the ones Canada got looked nice. I saw ours today and they made me so mad because they look generic. Like someone took a card they were making and just slapped the clip art for it on the back of a tee and didn’t bother to resize it.
The fact that they’re going to charge me 14 dollars for it infuriated me even more. I will simply just recycle last years because at least that one had some spirit and didn’t look like my nana made a teeshirt out of an old card I made her in 5th grade.

However, today's generative models struggle to do this type of task.- This research from Google (and others) introduces a new approach to textual scene decomposition. Given a single image of a scene that may contain multiple concepts of different kinds, it extracts a dedicated text token for each concept (handles) and enables fine-grained control over the generated scenes. The approach uses textual prompts in natural language for creating novel images featuring individual concepts or combinations of multiple concepts.

• LaVIN, for cheap and quick vision-language adaptation in LLMs- New research from Xiamen University has proposed a novel and cost-effective for adapting LLMs to vision-language (VL) instruction tuning called Mixture-of-Modality Adaptation (MMA).- MMA uses lightweight adapters, allowing joint optimization of an entire multimodal LLM with a small number of parameters. This saves more than thousand times of storage overhead compared with existing solutions. It can also obtain a quick shift between text-only and image-text instructions to preserve the NLP capability of LLMs.- Based on MMA, a large vision-language instructed model called LaVIN was developed, enabling cheap and quick adaptations on VL tasks without requiring another large-scale pre-training. On conducting experiments on ScienceQA, LaVIN showed on-par performance with the advanced multimodal LLMs, with training time reduced by up to 71.4% and storage costs by 99.9%.
• Top AI scientists and experts sign statement urging safe AI- In a bid to facilitate open discussions about the severe risks posed by advanced artificial intelligence (AI), a concise statement has been released, urging the global community to prioritize mitigating the risk of AI-induced extinction.- The statement highlights the importance of addressing this issue on par with other societal-scale risks like pandemics and nuclear war. • Open AI’s latest idea can help models do math with 78% accuracy- Even SoTA models today are prone to hallucinations, which can be particularly problematic in domains that require multi-step reasoning. To train more reliable models, OpenAI trained a model by rewarding each correct step of reasoning (“process supervision”) instead of simply rewarding the correct final answer (“outcome supervision”).- It was found that process supervision significantly outperforms outcome supervision for training models to solve problems from challenging MATH datasets. The model in the experiment solved 78% of problems from a representative subset of the MATH test set.- Additionally, process supervision also has an important alignment benefit: it directly trains the model to produce a chain-of-thought that is endorsed by humans.
• Neuralangelo, NVIDIA’s new AI model, turns 2D video into 3D structures- NVIDIA Research has introduced a new AI model for 3D reconstruction called Neuralangelo. I'm moving to Spain from the USA in September to teach indefinitely and have decided not to go through the hassle of transporting my outdated pc with me. I also have an iPad Pro that I use solely for digital art that I desperately want to sell because it's basically an expensive sketchbook. So, I've decided to pursue a 2-in-1 laptop that I can draw with so I can sell both my pc and iPad.
However, I can't decide between getting the 15.6" Book2 Pro 360 and the 16" Book3 Pro 360. My expenses for my visa, airfare, apartment fees, replacing my broken s20+ with an s23 ultra, and first month's costs are going to be about $4000+, so I'm stuck between spending the extra money on the new one and just getting the 2.
I'D BE USING IT FOR: -- occasional 4k video editing because I'll be vlogging my experiences. I'll be using Kdenlive instead of something RAM intensive like Adobe.
-- internet browsing and multitasking (maybe up to 10 tabs at a time at most) and blog post writing since I run a small blog.
-- digital artwork through clip studio paint.
-- minor lightroom photo editing.
-- note-taking.
-- slideshow presentations and small Zoom meetings to provide private tutoring sessions.
-- using my galaxy tab s7+ as a second monitor.
Samsung (and tech in general) is more expensive in Europe so I need to get one before I leave in September. I prefer the size of the 2 versus the size of the 3. However, the 3 is slightly more powerful, better resolution, and is less flexible/flimsy than the 2. I am also needing something to last me a long time, especially since replacing it will be much more expensive in Spain, so I worry about the longevity of the 2.
Right now I can get one of the Book2 Pro 360s with the s-pen and charger off ebay for less than $900. Best Buy and Samsung still have them at $1300-1600 and the 3s for $1900 outside of the occasional sale for $1600. I feel like the 2 is the better choice but the only laptops I've ever owned were a 2012 MacBook air and a 2014 hp so I don't have the most experience with them, especially Samsung laptops.
Do you think the Book2 Pro 360 with the s-pen is still worth it for my needs in 2023? Or should I plan to drain my wallet with the Book3 Pro 360?

• Can drive between continents in a short span of time. Exactly how it does this is unclear, but it's seen dropping from the sky and driving directly vertically³
  • How long this takes also isn't known, but multiple trips to all continents is required and the game takes place over the course of several hours³

Forms

• Becomes a jet to fly off¹
  • Takes a similar form to boost himself up and across a gap¹
• Becomes a helicopter¹
• Becomes a boring machine with a drill appearing from the front, creating a tunnel through rocks blocking off a road¹
• Turns into a submarine, complete with periscope, before jumping out of the water¹

• A shorter range blast which releases a burst of red energy around it, destroying all nearby robots^HtM
• Makes the ship invincible for a period, capable of running through robots without injury but still risking damage and destruction from walls^HtM
• One token fully heals the M.E.S.S.^HtM
• Extra lives^HtM

Other

• Highly maneuverable^HtM
• Bashes off of walls, but takes damage^HtM
• Can travel underwater, using air instead of fuel, which replenishes on breaching the surface^HtM
• Through booster rockets, can travel to and fly about in space^HtM
• Refuels by flying through floating gates^HtM
• On the ship's destruction, ejects Spy Fox in a floating capsule^HtM
• Had an upgrade, the Super M.E.S.S., which repeatedly bashes against a force field with seemingly no injury, has enough space for multiple agents, and is equipped with a can opener to cut open a space base³

• Translates hieroglyphics from an ancient language, though what they translate to is rather self-evident¹
• Doesn't shift gears in his cars while in pursuit of bad guys because he can't be bothered with that sort of thing³

• Disguises himself as a tumbleweed, using it as cover to getting into the middle of an area without being seen and letting it blow off without him after³
• Is a terrible secret agent³
  • I mean seriously, he just tells everyone what he is³
  • This isn't even a spy thing in this universe, a Canadian spy tells him to cut out using her name too often²
  • He even was presented the highest award the President of the United States could give to him in a highly publicized and reported event, isn't that the exact opposite of what he should want¹
  • Even some slight competency stops him from foiling the villain's plans due to how he announces himself first how is this guy still hired³
