2023.05.29 16:03 Working-Brilliant-14 How long did it take?

My husband and I have been working with a local agency for almost 2 full years. We completed the classes right away have had one home study and lots of seemingly busy work that takes weeks /months for the agency to follow back up with. Is this the norm?! We have a beautiful home family and a room waiting. I can help but feel discouraged. I even threatened the universe I’d just go through county, sigh. A lawsuit against San Bernardino county on behalf of 5800 foster kids has just been filed, so they probably aren’t better right now….

2023.05.28 23:11 leapsandbounds1 The Role of Parents in Supporting their Child’s Learning in Daycare Preschools

Fontana is a beautiful city in San Bernardino County, California. Fontana is very much known for its numerous cultural, sporting and recreational opportunities. Leaps and Bounds is a preschool in California that has its branches in some of the cities of California, such as Escondido, La Puente and Fontana. This Day Care Fontana is ideal for your children, since it provides all the necessary education and teaching.
Our school Leaps and Bounds has a series of qualities that can make your child’s future adventurous and bright. Our Infant Care Fontana Preschool helps your child to thrive, but, when your child is too young, your mind does not agree to send your child to a school that is far from home. But Leaps and Bounds assure the security of each child that comes there. If you’re a parent, then you can set your mind at peace by knowing that your child is in safe and good hands. The Leaps and Bounds school is quite reliable. We also help in preparing your child for kindergarten. As a parent, your priority towards your child would be teaching basic manners and etiquette, working on language enhancement, and giving some basic materialistic knowledge to make them eligible for kindergarten. Leaps and Bound help you all through it, we have different teachers for different aged children with different requirements. If you enroll your child in Leaps and Bounds we take all the responsibility for your child. From enrolling them in kindergarten to enhancing their physical and emotional abilities, Leaps and Bounds take care of everything.
Why Should You Choose Leaps And Bounds?
The Leaps and Bounds Preschool Fontana is based on a five fold path that leads your child to physical, mental and academic development. The stages are:
  1. Proper Development: The first priority as a parent towards your child would be teaching them basic manners and etiquette such as to behave, to respect, to eat properly and to have courtesy. All of these are taught in Leaps and Bounds, we take total responsibility for your children.
  2. Prepare For Kindergarten: There are many preschools, but the difference between a conventional preschool and Leaps and Bounds is, any conventional preschool is limited merely to a preschool only but Leaps and Bounds includes a kindergarten plus preschool. We prepare our children to enrol in kindergarten.
  3. Skills Development: Leaps and Bounds offer different physical activity to maintain children’s health, they are engaged in different activities such as sports and play. Besides physical activities, we engage your children in many other curriculums that will develop mental well-being. They learn to make friends, recite poems, interact with each other, draw, etc.
  4. Emotion Management: Leaps and Bounds School helps your children with emotional support. Children are often afraid to interact with others, do a public speech, or perform anything outside their safe place. Leaps and Bounds teach your children that school can be a safe place for your children and they would love to come here.
  5. Self-care: Clearly self-care is the last stage when your kids finally learn to self-care. They can take care of themselves after going to school. They learn to become more independent.
These are the fivefold paths that will lead your children to become independent. School should be a place to learn everything and gradually become independent not only for knowledge and academics. Leaps and Bounds welcome your children to our safe place for a bright and better future.

2023.05.28 06:27 MrEdgyEdgelord It's worthy to note that just because you have children, doesn't mean that they'll keep you company in old age. Regardless how good or bad you treated them.

My aunt whom I have always been fond of, just got done with hip surgery a week ago. She's in her 70s and she has a good relationship with all her three children.
That being said. None have visited their mother since the surgery. Two of them have valuable explanations. One is in New York. The other is in Australia.
The son that lives the closest is honestly way too caught up in his own family life as he has three kids of his own. We live in the LA area. She lives in the Pasadena area to be very specific and the son lives in San Bernardino which is a 50 minute drive.
My mother has been the only one keeping my aunt company the past few days and my mom complains that it's if her three kids could care less. A little bit ridiculous in my honest view considering two of them are literally thousands of miles away.
But my point is, loneliness just comes with old age. I don't love it. But it's accurate whether you have children or not. So having kids so you won't be alone when you're old is complete horseshit. Being alone was gonna happen regardless.
You can't expect your kids to keep you company.
At the end, they're gonna get caught up in their own lives as well.

2023.05.28 02:39 Xing_Gateway Downey CCW Process

So I went and did my periodic check of the Downey PD website to see if they had updated their CCW procedure. And it turns out they did:
https://www.downeyca.org/our-city/departments/police/administration/concealed-weapons-permit-ccw
They say the process take 1 to 4 months. In the requirements they mention having good moral character and also a good cause. There is also a psychological exam needed (and there is only one place they consider... and it's in San Bernardino?) Looks like the total fees are almost $1000.
They're using some place called myccw.us.
So, looks like just a whole lot of BS. They really want to discourage people from doing it.

What species of Fleabane is this? (found in a park in San Bernardino, California)
It looks like a species of Erigeron, but I can't tell which. The flowers were white, but with purple edges on the underside of the flowers. Even as they aged, they stayed mostly white on top and only the a few grew more purple.
It doesn't look like the Seaside daisy to me (not an expert), the petals are fatter(?) and shorter looking.
I also can't tell if they are naturally wild or an escaped domesticated strain from somebody's garden.

2023.05.27 07:26 Greensleeves- San Bernardino Forest

Looking to explore SBNF this summer for some overnight testing of my new backpacking gear. Does anyone have any suggestions for some more secluded / forest / rock areas that would be ideal for an overnight? I’ve looked over some campsite areas with bathrooms and so on which would be fine, but would love to find something a little quieter with large trees / rocks kinda vibe where you can really be set back in the forest. Thanks !

2023.05.27 02:39 rialtokidd257 DUI finally filed after over 10 months. What do I do now?

I was pulled over for a DUI in San Bernardino County in July of 2022. I checked the court website and they finally filed it yesterday. I do not have a lawyer, as I really don’t have the money to get one. What happens next? Do they offer public defenders? And how much help are they really. I appreciate any input guys 🙏🏼
