Ok so I had a request a couple weeks ago with really good pay, They had good communication at first then they ghosted me a couple days before the booking , they never confirmed booking but said we were still on and would book it as soon as they had their son look at it cause the client is old and doesn’t know how to use technology very well , but anyways, that’s fine I told them I can help them if they don’t see their son before, but either way, it’s the day of and they haven’t replied in 2 days and I don’t think their gonna show up as their already late , what do I do? I spent all day preparing and even bought food cause they said they would pay me back for it which I’ve done before. I know I shouldn’t have bought the stuff and prepared until they confirmed but I grew up with my grandparents and understand that elderly people often just don’t know how to do tech stuff and apps, so I was more understanding, is this just a I fucked up situation and nothing I can do? Or is their a way I can report the owner for canceling without telling me?

I planned 2 weeks ahead for a date with her and she arrived 1 and half hours late and only spent an hour or so with me with half of that time on the phone or in the bathroom of the restaurant. She also dressed up extremely well (she'd never dress like this for me). She said she had a dinner with a "new client" which was work related later that night, it was a guy and on a Friday night??. She apparently spent 4 hours with this dude and got home at 11pm. I don't know if this is the normal lifestyle of graphics designers, I'm an engineer and this sort of things that she tells me about that goes on between her and her clients are just weird from my perspective because in my line of work things work differently. I rarely even meet my clients on anything other than teams and it's a 5 minute call.

I have been playing for about a year now and i am pretty decent at killer and have a lot of fun with it
But i find it so frustrating when i try to play as Survivor
Mainly because when you play as Killer, it is basically up to you what you count as a win or not, for some getting 1 kill/sacrifice and 3 people escape is a win for them, for others nothing but 4 kills will do
But as Survivor i find there isn't really that same feeling, as it's basically escape or it's failure, i know people will say, well aslong as you got a few people off hooks, did a few gens, got some stuns etc it's not a failure you still got good BP and ran the killer close
But i wondered if BHVR have any plans to add a secondary objective so that if the survivors do get killed or sacrificed they can be like oh well at least we completed the secondary objective so it isn't a total failure
Like something for example, maybe not this, but in the vein of,
say there are 20 blood vials scattered around the map and a jar at a set point on the map
maybe some vials are connected to gens so when the gen pops you get 3-4 so you run to the set point to deposit them and if you manage to get them all and the jar filled everybody gets a share of say 40,000 BP meaning an extra 10K ontop of what they do in the match
Maybe it's stupid and won't work but for me as someone who gets annihilated when i play survivor it would make that not so bad knowing, well we all got killed but hey we filled the vial and got an extra 10K BP so it's not all bad
But as i say i am a relatively new player compared to some so maybe they have tried something similar in the past and it didn't work or maybe there's something i've not thought of about why it wouldn't work
But i just think it's something to make the solo q experience not as overwhelming

4) Harry Potter: this one is usually pretty popular of course so it's not a major one I'm looking for but I'd like to roleplay it either way! I have an OC I just need someone to play Harry for me! Also have plots depending on the year
5) Criminal Minds: Now I'm not caught up on this show but I do have an oc that pairs with Derek Morgan. I have no plots for this and usually wing it or brainstorm with someone.
6) 13 Reasons Why: I have an OC I just need a Clay. I love this show despite how sad it can be and would love to roleplay it.
7) Victorious I have an oc I just need a Beck I know it's a kids show but I love the show despite that

Hello! I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I'm just getting increasingly anxious about the up coming birth of my daughter.
I just feel like there's still so much to do!
I need to put together a hospital bag for when it's go time and I have no idea what all I need in it, aside from like clothes and diapers for baby.
The nursery is still half done and I have to get the baby clothes put away and organized by size yet.
I don't have any bottles or pacifiers yet, I do have a breast pump but I've yet to check the sizing for the bits or anything to make sure it's good to go.
Baby shower is July 8th so I know I'll get an influx of clothes and diapers and the like then too.
Husband and I just picked out a really nice diaper bag online so I'm kinda excited about that at least!
I feel almost panicky about the whole thing because I feel so unprepared 😭

Hello everyone, first, I just have to say thank you to this sub and everyone in it. I have spent the last three weeks reading every single post, commenting on many, posting a few of my own because of my NIPT experience. I will always be so grateful for the warmth and support coming from this group.
I wanted to update and send a little good news into this group so the happy stories are well-represented. I had a NIPT draw at 13w that came back inconclusive, and a redraw at 14w4d that came back inconclusive, too. The test was Qnatal through Quest Diagnostics, so I never did learn my actual percentage either time, but both were due to low fetal fraction (Quest does not run the test at all when they see the fraction is below 4% so it’s “inconclusive” not “high risk” like many Natera people have dealt with). I was referred to a GC who took all of my family history and my spouse’s and recommended a Quad if we wanted it, and my OB allowed an elective Ultrasound.l for the following day at 17w.
My ultrasound was yesterday, and baby showed absolutely NO signs of any defects, measured perfectly, moved, strong heartbeat, and I learned that I’m having a baby girl.
She is not in my arms yet, and I suppose I won’t fully calm down until then, but I know the pain that so many of you are experiencing if you’re waiting on test results and scared about your options and all the variables out there. My heart will always go out to every parent in that position because these three weeks have been the hardest time in my life. You really don’t quite get it until you’ve gone there.
Thank you, again, for the time and opportunity to be apart of such a supportive group. I hope I can pay it forward in the future.

It seems that the 400/800 is an awkward combo to train for. I've ran XC for 2 years, and the XC head coach wants me to continue XC training both in the offseason and during the fall. However, as a 400m (52.5) runner who has also moved up to be a sprint/fast-twitch-based 800m (2:02) runner, I really want to work on developing my "speed reserve," focusing more on lower volume speedwork in the offseason (ideally 2-3 times/week). Still, I understand the benefit of XC for developing aerobic base, which is important for both events (more so for the 800m, of course).
What should I do to best train in the offseason, both for the more aerobic 800m race, as well as for the 400m sprint? Hoping for sub 50/sub 2 next year.

I had posted some about this in the general FE sub but I got accused of being a troll although this is something a genuinely struggle with. Thought maybe I could try a post here since people seem more forgiving and less judge mental here.
I’ve been thinking about trying 3Hopes for a while. I know there’s a demo, but my concern isn’t the gameplay. It’s the characters and story. I know all about tre story in all three routes, but my FE fan, Fodlan lover, and gamer brain says play it anyways. But I can’t shake seeing all the intensively negative things about the story asks characters online off me, especially with Dimitri and Claude. I love all the lords in three houses so it’s a relief to see Edelgard fans not under nuclear fire for once. But guess who’s my favorite?
Yep! It’s Claude. I’ve seen so many YouTube videos, YT comment sections, Twitter, tumblr, and Reddit posts disparaging Claude the most. I’ve seen it all from bloodlustung tyrant,backstabber, the objective evil guy of Fodlan, worse than Thales, idiot, and psychopath. Not to mention actual racist aimed at him too. And I’m biracial myself so it’s extra awful. Some pretty respected redditor on the main subreddit made a post calling GW atrocious and a “golden trash fire” and says Claude ruins all the GD in the story.
The Dimitri anger is less profound but still there. I’ve seen centrist, boring, and even that his route is sexist cause what happens to Edelgard in AG. Both part 2 of GW and AG appear universally hated.
Now my issue is twofold; 1) I don’t want to hate these characters that I love and 2) I don’t want to be outcast and revolved for liking those characters. I’m always been terrified for having “wrong opinion” since I was a kid.
Should I still get the game cause I may like it? And if I do, how do reconcile the fact that some of the characters I live are now despised? Like, how do fellow fans here deal with it?

i didn't notice it until i started learning guitar myself.. well of course my own playing is bad, but.. i started paying more attention to guitar in songs i like, and listening to isolated tracks... and.. they all sound quite bad!!
this is a very interesting phenomenon... like.. you listen to a song, really like the guitar part, there is an idealised version of the guitar part in your head, but when you actually listen to it, it's kinda disappointing..
and also, very depressing.. like, even if you practice it for 20 years, become one of the greatest guitarists of all time, you will still sound bad...

Hi, I’m a 19 year old female and my now ex just broke up with me. I’ll give some background information, We’ve known each other since middle school and we were dating for 6 months but due to personal reasons he broke up with me the first time. During that time it was a little weird but that can be another story. Anyways it was our last year of middle school and he decided to confess and ask me out again before we went to separate schools. He did this during texts and I wished he would’ve said it irl but I replied with a yes because I obviously still had feelings and we were dating ever since. He has treated me so gently and kindly that I don’t think I’ll ever find again in this now generation. We shared very good memories and he was my first to literally everything. We wouldn’t hang out all the time it would just be once a week due to his strict parents and curfews and I never once complained about this, I was just grateful we were able to see each other. It’s always been like this our entire relationship and As we got older it would sometimes be twice a week but it was still a consistent once a week. We always texted and he was always there for me to cheer me up and be supportive. Id love to spoil him with presents and see his reaction of the gifts. I took so many pictures and videos of him too it was kind of sad to see them all be deleted. Due to us getting older and getting jobs and being in college(not in same college), it was kind of hard for us to keep up with each other and hang out. Work and school was always in the way so we tried to keep up with seeing each other. As for our texts it was becoming dry and he would reply late white I replied so quick no matter what, I was very attached. Today he broke up with me by sending a video of him talking and saying he’s not in love with me anymore, he said he thought maybe because of the distance that grew but when he said he saw me and we were together, he felt happy for a moment, but when I would leave, he said he felt different, that it wasn’t the same feelings as before, like he didn’t miss me as much anymore. I think it hurt more hearing this in video rather then him telling me in person. Ofc I had to ask a couple of questions to get some kind of closure. The two main questions were how long he’s been feeling that way and if I did anything to make him fall out of love. He said first he didn’t have an exact time stamp but he was feeling like that 2-3 months and second I didn’t do anything and that it was him. Other questions if there was someone else (he said there’s no one else) and if he wants to to stay as friends (he said yes) after he answered my questions I thanked him and we haven’t talked after that. How do I get over him? We were about to make 6 years next week and it really saddens me. It also feels weird because I would tell him about everything that happened in my life and now all of that is gone. I don’t wanna tell my family yet because they really liked him too. Sorry for the long post but I would like any advice to help myself feel better and move on. Thanks for reading and have a good day.

LONG POST! I hate to bragg because I have seen so many discouraged with the process but we closed today and have the keys with a pretty smooth process! Only thing is I forgot to get a pic with us in front… We were able to find a home in the country side of South Jersey which was older but well kept. Built in 1978 so it definitely can use some updates but basement is finished, the updates the septic with a larger tank for us and reseeded the yard. We had a gap with the appraisal that they also took the majority of the difference so we could close. My husband is a grump because it is an older home with septic and well and oil. He says everything has to be replaced and all annoyed with me for pushing him to purchase and not rent any longer. Our home is just over 1600 sqft with a newly lined LARGE in-ground pool with a huge deck and .47 acres all fenced in. He has lost his mind IMO because the home was $363,636 6.1%. When all was said and done and we only had to close with $1,234. ZERO DOWN… We did do the grant for closing costs(second mortgage zero interest zero payment) Our original offer was 370,000. I know he will come around once we get a deep cleaning and have our things in the home. It is very livable, he is just delusional and thinks that after a yr of renting we would be able to get some luxurious home for our first buy. I’m happy and proud of us. Our 4 children finally have a home of their own (6,5,4 & 2.5). They can finally live with a lot less rules and I can relax if they make a mistake with markers or throw a toy at the wall. I just wanted to gush because I am proud of me/us … we got the F out of FL and found a decent home to purchase in and closed in under 40 days time. ** I will be sure to post a pic when we move in next week.

Hi all,
So I've been having a regular issue where windows will randomly and without warning start displaying an oversaturated image. This happens while in the middle of a game, watching a video, just browsing the web etc. The 2 "fixes" I've had were to just open display settings, and it will just fix itself or to open color management and select my monitors profile and click "set as default profile." It's annoying, but works.
As of late though the problem has gotten worse and more frequent and just opening up display settings swaps for a moment then swaps back. And now due to the new firmware on my monitor and upon a recommendation by another user on the forum, I've deleted the ICC profile from the color management page (though, If I go to the system default page, it's still there).
I'm not really sure what's causing this issue or how to fix it. Is there someone with experience here that can help me resolve this?

This problem has been going on and off for a couple months. Either the game will give me error code 249, 429, or it will run fine but then kick me off because of “no internet connection” and not let me back on. Is there anyway to permanently fix this issue?

Hi, FtM trans guy here in San Angelo TX. There is no Transgender health care anything here, not even Planned Parenthood.
So, long story short, started Testosterone last year in MT while at school, left in Feb of this year for medical leave, will be returning next month, thank gods.
BUT I need a refill on Testosterone and even tho they already filled it once, my local clinic is now giving me the run around (even telling me I HAVE to see a GYN before they fill a prescription, which I have never heard of before?) and I think they are just refusing to fill it. Hell, when they did the first prescription they prescribed me "200mg weekly" when my actual prescription is ".25mg weekly" but I got extra viles so jokes on them ig.
Anyways, I got frustrated and looked online for online prescription fills and found Plume, paid for the service, using Spruce to set up and they asked about using Quest, I clicked the, Quest won't work for me, option cause Quest shows no services in my area and I have been staring at a "Oh no, we informed our team and they will get back to you soon!" for the past hour.
So... does this mean I can't use Plume bc I can't use one of their Labs? I don't mind paying for my own labs but I am ngl, I am going to be really ticked off if I just forked over $99 to get told "Oh, oops you live in a REALLY red area and we can't help you, bye!" and get ghosted.
Does anyone else who used them selected that option that Quest won't work? If so what happened/what did Plume say?
