It's sold out on Paradise, and was thinking about getting one. This is going to be my first stick (other than my old Hori Mini) and just wanted a smaller sized, empty case to work in. I'm already a little experienced in modding other electronics such as keyboards and mice so I'm not too concerned about soldering/wiring/etc being difficult.
Budget isn't much of an issue either, and I don't want extra parts laying around, hence why I want an empty one. I've included the parts that I'm thinking of adding to it. Other than a Brook controller and the wires, am I all set to bring this to life? Would love any suggestions y'all may have. Thanks in advance!

This is an informative post about a recent negative experience I had with Chase regarding an airline ticket refund.
TL;DR Chase rep told me I didn’t need to file a trip cancellation claim to be refunded, and might have spoken incorrectly. but after over a month of waiting and constant calling, a CFPB complaint finally did the trick.
To start, I have the CSR and purchased 5 plane tickets to Germany in May. Did this in November, 2022. Two of the passengers included my wife’s grandparents (wife is an AU), and we did this so they wouldn’t have to purchase the refundable tickets or trip insurance, since the CSR has trip cancellation insurance, and they would be covered according to the T&Cs. Unfortunately, grandfather developed cancer so I started the process of canceling both him and grandmother tickets (she is primary caregiver). I submitted a claim for the trip cancellation insurance, and started to gather all documents.
I called Chase customer service to explain what happened, and the rep there was very nice and called Delta, looked over everything, and then informed me I don’t have to submit a claim because there were multiple flight changes and they would refund the two tickets, no problem. 5-7 business days and it’ll be back on my CSR. Great. This was on 02/20.
2 weeks later I called, checking the status, and the rep had no clue as to what I was talking about. No notes, no pending transactions, nothing. All he kept telling me was the flights were non-refundable, and I needed to submit a claim. I escalated the call, and told the supervisor to pull the call logs and figure this out for me. They told me they would research and call me back the following Monday.
No call Monday, so I called back Tuesday. The next rep also had no idea what I was talking about. No notes on my account. I became increasingly frustrated, but having worked at a FI call center before, I understand that it isn’t this particular poor reps fault, and again ask to escalate the call. The next Sup does her research, and asks to call me back similar to the first one. I told her yes, but I wanted her to notate the account and give me a case number. She did that.
After about another week of hearing nothing, I called back AGAIN. The grandparents were asking us for the money back, and we are getting nervous about the whole thing. They then say the refund was processed on 03/11 and the funds would be back in 7-10 business days. Finally. Called on the 10th business day, and the rep said she didn’t see anything and doesn’t know what is going on.
After this, I submitted a CFPB complaint as I’ve had enough. The next day chase executive called me and told me they were taking over. About a week after the CFPB complaint, I finally saw it pending to credit my account. Finally!
In hindsight, I should have continued with the trip cancellation insurance claim as well and just seen which hits first, but a signed physicians form and other documents are difficult to get and I was told by a chase rep I didn’t have to continue with it, so I thought it would be fine.

I've been playing Walkabout Mini-Golf every day for about a week with maybe 12-15 hours in game. I'm fairly used to VR after playing around 60 games, so that would probably total a few 100 hours.
Today when going to the urban area center to run an errand, I had the strangest sensation that I was still in VR walking around. I knew of course this wasn't the case, but I still experienced a sort of dissociation with reality. Anyone else felt this after frequently using VR?

You can use ANY card that you have unlocked no matter the level and the game will auto bump up the lvl 1 card to lvl 11! You can play with noob friends too if they unlocked cards..
Tell all your friends who unlocked alot of cards but didn't grind card levels to come play again! You can 1v1 and 2v2 for free with any unlockable cards and pair up and use all spell decks and weird troll decks again no boring same lvl 14 cards ANY cards will go to lvl 11 whether underleveled or overleveled!!! As long as they are post lvl 50 king tower update lvl 8 or something...

What you mean no tournament standard lvl 11??? THAT'S amazing 🤩🤩🤩! F2P players can exclusively play 2v2 with friends trying new card combinations all the time! You might have above lvl 11 cards since you are complaining but it not only caps the lvl BUT also INCREASES the level 1 troops to level 11!!! So now you can play any card at any level for fun like 2017 days 👴👴👴 back in my days i would try out deck combos with level 7 cards that would bump up to lvl 11 tournament standard and this is exactly like it! Why complain about chests when 2v2 is basically peak game rules wise in the fun department 🏬??? 😖😓 Like now if you want to play with your younger brother or some classmate who hasn't played long enough to get maxed cards can play with ANY cards they unlock and simply need to learn HOW to use the cards WELL...

So hey! I am writing my master's thesis about storytelling in videogames and more spesifically I am analysing What Remains of Edith Finch as a part of my thesis. I am using Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey as base for my research and I'd be interested discussing especially about the Character Archetypes in the story. In my research I am not actually using the Hero's Journey as a whole but a shorter more precise version of it created by Dan Harmon. So tools I've been using in my thesis are three-act-structure, Character Archetypes and the Story Circle.
Basically my thesis is just a glorified story analysis of What Remains of Edith Finch using storytelling tools from more traditional fields of storytelling. I do this in order to learn more about how good stories are presented in video games.

Marisa Tam: I did a program called NBC’s Writers on the Verge, which is an initiative from the network to train writers who are almost ready to be on a writing staff as well as an effort to increase diversity among writers for NBC and Universal shows. At the end of the program, the NBC folks sent the script I wrote in WOTV to the shows that were looking for new writers. It caught the eye of someone at The Blacklist, and they brought me in to meet with Jon Bokenkamp, the creator and executive producer, who liked me well enough to hire me.
I wasn’t a viewer of the show before someone at NBC gave me a heads-up that I was in the running for a job, so I had to watch three seasons over the span of a few weeks. But that race-against-the-clock marathon to get up to date with the show showed me the sheer breadth of James Spader’s abilities as an actor and the wide, ambitious variety of crimes and action sequences the show tackles on a regular basis. It was both daunting and an exciting prospect for a baby writer staring down her first paid writing gig.
TCG: Did you do any background reading or research into other shows or films or did you approach this as a “blank page”?
Marisa: My research tends to be more in the vein of weird news: articles about unusual jobs or brain disorders or missing nuclear weapons, of which there are more than you’d like there to be. We’re always looking for new sandboxes to play in that would give us either a weird backdrop for an episode or a persona for the Blacklister or even someone who provides a service to the criminal world—a venture capitalist for criminal endeavors, for example.
But sometimes the bosses like something from another show or from ’80s or ’90s movies that will be the framework on which we build a Blacklist episode. We were even once asked to try structuring an episode like an hour-long When Harry Met Sally.
TCG: Can you talk about the process in the writers’ room? The show can be fairly intricate, and I’m curious how that works itself out with the writing team.
Marisa: This show works differently from a lot of other shows, where the writers will be together in a room for most or all of the day. The showrunners, Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath, generally figure out a story arc for a section of the season and pitch it to the room, which consists of 12 writers right now—though last year, we had 15! Then the writers pitch episodes that fit into that arc, and Jon and John run a “mini room” with a couple other upper-level writers, bringing individual writers in to break stories as they fit episodes into that arc. What that means for the rest of the writers is that we tend to work in smaller groups to flesh out ideas before the showrunners hear them.
The structure of the show can be pretty complex, but there is a loose formula, which helps when we’re coming up with stories. Generally, James Spader’s character, Red, brings a case to the FBI that presents as something like a kidnapping, but by the episode’s midpoint, the FBI team discovers that it wasn’t a kidnapping but a jailbreak, because the kidnap victim arranged her own abduction.
So sometimes we’re essentially coming up with two different ideas and trying to find a fun way to connect them through an interesting twist. Plus, we also have to fit a couple of action sequences in there somewhere, along with any smaller character storylines that need to be serviced. It can be a really difficult thing to do, but that’s why it’s great to have other writers to talk through the plot snarls—if I were trying to write this show without help, I probably would have put my head through a wall by now!
TCG: The show sits at an intersection of crime drama, tech thriller, and superhero science fiction. How do you feel about that? Are you inclined to any specific genre elements?
Marisa: I grew up on a lot of crime shows, but we were also loyal viewers of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Voyager, and stuff like Xena, so I hold a lot of different genres near and dear to my heart. The Blacklist is pretty grounded in comparison, though we definitely bend the rules on science that isn’t quite real yet and characters who do things like take off their noses at the end of the day.
But I like that the show is wide ranging, because it gives us the opportunity to explore different worlds and the criminal possibilities that come from each of them. It also gives me a chance to use a lot of the disparate, random knowledge that I’ve accumulated, even if it’s just to write a monologue for Spader about a tidal causeway.

I have started listening to MOAB before my playlist, like 7-10 days back. Basically, I try listening to MOAB + the playlist during the day whenever I have time or I’m taking a day nap. At night, I listen to MOAB and then play my playlist on loop overnight. Sometimes, the earplugs fall off or i get tired of the sounds and shut off the subs.
There have been multiple days when I felt pretty, my face seemed symmetrical and i appeared to have slimmed down as well. Although the results don’t seem so permanent as of now, as many times i feel like my results are gone. Not sure if it’s just psychological, or i am actually getting results.
I’ll continue listening to the playlist and will hopefully update here on weekly basis because daily gets a bit exhausting. Linking my playlist in case anyone is interested.
P.S. My playlist contains subs across various topics like clear skin, flat stomach, desired life/love life, family etc. So, my experience may be v different from others who are sticking to just 1-2 topics.
