So just a little background on the car and my own experience lol I’m of course a DIYer and I have a 2013 328i xdrive. I got it at about 68k, and slowly learned how to properly care for it. Car is currently at 131k and no issues thank god ( knock on wood ) I do the basic stuff like change the oil, spark plugs, ignition coils etc… I would say I’m pretty confident in working on my car at this point. I learned how to bleed my brake fluid, changed my brakes, rotors, I changed both front and rear diff. fluids, changed alternator, starter, valve cover gasket, just to name a few… BUT I was going to attempt changing my transmission fluid, and bought the replacement kit off of fcp euro. I was ready to change it as I’m noticing my car jerking just a little from 1st to 2nd gear in the mornings when it’s cold. Did some research and found out it could be as simple as just a transmission fluid change as it is time for a change. Here’s the issue… I’m reading comments everywhere saying it shouldn’t be done after 100k as there can be issues with new fluid if my transmission is bad . The trans fluid to my knowledge hasn’t been changed, but I do daily my car and the only issue is the jerking from gear 1 to 2. I have searched how trans fluid should look and how it shouldn’t. Issue is I’m scared to even attempt anything with the trans, frankly because everyone online has put the fear into me lol. I have everything for the trans fluid change and an obd2 reader that reads the trans temp. To me it honestly looks simple to do but of course precaution when doing it all the way through. Can anyone who has done it give me an input or someone who has actual experience with bmws with somewhat similar issues give any advice? Thank you guys in advance (:

Stinky dog skin issues,itchy, ear infections, autoimmune?
My dog has major skin issues, he's dry and flakey, gets infections easily (especially ear), and is always itchy.
We've been to the vet. They told us to try a diet change of fish and sweet potatoe food to check for allergies. It didn't help. We tried antibiotic and steroids which help temp. We tried apoquil which maybe helps alil with itching but no major difference.
Home remedies we tried helping his skin. Raw eggs for coat. Coconut oil. Fish oil. Hot spot med. Oatmeal dog shampoo. Other itchy dog shampoos and coat shampoos. Baby shampoo. Benadryl. Claritin. Ointments.
Last time I washed him I washed him really good and he was good for a few days but then he smelled awful. Ithink it's because his scabs and build ups of skin flakes come off in the bath and then as it has back over he smells worse.
I wonder if he has like doggy psoriosis or eczema something. Because he has ceritan areas that are really bad and also build up of thickend skin on like his "elbows" and knees. His foot pads bother him and he gets like blisters on the tops of his toes as well. Makes me think it's some systemic auto immune issue or something.
Like I said the vet tried some things and just basically gives temporary solutions. Can the vets of this group please brain storm and help figure out what his issue is so we can improve his (and our) quality of life.
It makes me so sad when people don't want to pet or be near him because he stinks and leaves skin flakes everywhere. I love my dog. I want him to get all the cuddles and love he deserves. I'm tearing up writing this. People have literally said shitty things like I should put him out of his misery. He's only 7 and I hope he has 7 more with me. Please help.

Around mid January of this year I noticed I the skin around my right eye specifically became crusty and scaly in nature causing my eye to have more wrinkles. It wouldn't itch or be red in any way but it would bother me because it never went away and Vaseline was only a temporary relief. I finally tried to use Vitamin E Oil around it overnight and woke up the next day to something being in my eye. I'm not sure what it was but I think some of the oil may have seeped into my eye overnight. What was in my eye lasted there for an entire week. After it was gone my eye started to become red and watery a lot and I would wake up to crust and discharge. My skin around my eye also became worse where it became red and itchy.
I've gone to the doctor twice for this. The first time they gave me a steroid + antibiotic eye ointment and my completely healed but once I stopped using it after a week it came back after a couple of days (the doctor also said it looked like I had eczema on my eye). The second time I went they gave me eyedrops which only helped a little bit with tears but did nothing for my skin. After the steroid/antibiotic eye ointment the redness in my eye went away for the most part though. I am still currently dealing with scaly and crusty skin throughout the day as well as constant eye watering.
I have no idea what caused this. I changed nothing in my lifestyle including diet, sleep, changes in products I use, etc. My left eye is completely fine. I don't know if this is an allergic reaction to something because I feel like I would've gotten it in both eyes if that was the case. I also do not wear contacts and have 20/20 vision. I have no idea how to cure this and this has been going on up until now. Can someone please provide some insight?

My car desperately needs to be vacuumed and have the interior cleaned (there's dog hair everywhere). Where's the best place for auto detail? I used to have H&H do it when they'd change my oil, but I don't think they do that anymore.

In the takeover of Credit Suisse by UBS, the Swiss government marked down senior bonds as a loss, meaning those bonds went to zero. The shares in Credit Suisse have not been canceled, meaning the shareholders will be doing better than bondholders. The merger deal also skipped shareholder votes as emergency powers were used.
It's not a coincidence the biggest shareholder is the Saudi government. Or should I say the House of Saud, as they are an absolute monarchy and government fund's are the sovereign's personal funds. They bought up 9.9% of shares on the way down, saying the shares were a steal since the company had more assets outstanding than their whole market cap. They stopped short of 10% as doing so would trigger the EU's regulatory restrictions, requiring fund managers to submit to background checks, audits, and reporting requirements. The Saudis did not just say they were unable at the moment to buy more they said they emphatically said they would "absolutely not" give Credit Suisse more funding, and this is what triggered the bank run.
Many of you have heard that before but... I think I know why the Saudis didn't want to get audited. The Saudi government fights each other as often as they fight anyone else, but it is all obscured behind palace walls. Nominally King Salman rules, but he is "retired." The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) runs things, but you'll note he's nowhere near the firstborn son, nor his father's favorite, nor are his older brothers dead. Before he became "Crown Prince," there were several men that held that position with no reason given why they left it, to say nothing of offices like "Prime Minister" and bureaucratic offices that vary from year to year and are often created in order to be given to certain men.
You get the picture: They're all competing with each other behind the scenes. This culminated with the "Night of the Long Knives" where soldiers and police invaded a palace and began charging many ministers with a variety of crimes. Some were arrested, others faced impromptu fines. Any pretense that they were not simply being robbed disappeared when they started guessing their net worth in order to fine them, and didn't understand that they didn't have that sort of cash in the bank. One guy even called his "Swiss banker" (probably Credit Suisse's wealth management division) who said there was no way to get that money over the weekend as it was tied up assets. No one is sure who is who's side, but it is believed this coup was MBS purging his rivals.
This just scratches the surface. Reality involves dozens of executions being ordered due to secret evidence over breaking vague security laws. The Saudis are also big into the kefala slavery scam. They offer impoverished foreigners high wages, make them take loans to get to Saudi Arabia, seize their passports, and simply don't pay them. You can't sue the Saudi government and the oligarchs running this scam have armed retainers.
The other thing the House of Saud wants to hide is they're actually really bad with money. The riches of the House of Saud started as this: Standard Oil approached King Abdulaziz of Nedj and offered him 50,000 dollars for the oil exploration rights, and the king knew so little of geology that he thought he was ripping them off. He immediately blew away the money on luxury items. And the tale goes on like that, with the king going insolvent routinely and simply making up the shortfalls with arbitrary changes to taxes, fees, and fines on western oil drillers.
Things did not improve over time, as the construction magnate Mohammed bin Laden rose not by the slightest lick of competency. He was a Yemeni immigrant builder, and he was working one site where he and the German engineers the princes hired were arguing about how structurally sound the building was. Bin Laden got into the work truck and drove it up a ramp onto the roof to prove how sturdy it was. The princes found that hysterical, and fired the engineers and rewarded Bin Laden with his truck's weight in silver, and that money he used to start his own company.
I'm leaving out the worst stuff, but you get the picture.
There are a couple thousand of these buffoons, and none of them want to get audited. This is also why I'm suspicious of the irregular ruling favoring the shareholders over the bondholders. Riyadh is a sovereign government and there's really nothing stopping them from making legal threats to the Swiss government to cut ties, or cut trade, or seize assets. I also wish I could say UBS and/or the Swiss government are bribe proof but that simply isn't so, and there's not exactly anything people could do to stop one sovereign government from bribing another. In any case, Saudi oligarchs stand to gain or lose more than anyone else in the fall of Credit Suisse, more than even the CEO of Credit Suisse stands to lose.

Hello, when I start the car, as it warm up, I see large amount of smoke (exhaust like color and smell) coming out of something below the exhaust manifold, but I couldn’t tell exactly where. I just completed belt water pump change, and oil+coolant change. I didn’t notice this before the maintenance. Smoke doesn’t stop as engine warms up.
What could this be?

Scooter starts and runs decent, my question is sometimes after I ride and shut off the scooter walk away go into a store buy something go back to the scooter then sometimes will not start…? I kick start seems like it will start but doesn’t. Then kick it again and get nothing. Then if I wait about 10 mins or so I can get ot to turn over if I’m lucky. I’ve never treated the scooter for winter time with the fuel as long as I had it. I’ve never cleaned the carb once. I’ve never changed the fuel filter. I’ve done the gear oil, and added oil. My electric starter died awhile back. Should I check my starter switch ?? Should I clean my carb? Any ideas would be great
