So hi my maatersamuri I love Adventure RP I have been trying to get people to do my RPS I made 15 rp start but people don't like the fact I misspelled if they use discord I can edit my text all my rps are best off move and anime and TV shows I find interest but I change it to fit my tip of rp.

A card arrived by post to my address, I opened it without thinking as it was about a week after my birthday and assumed it was meant for me. Inside the card was a £20 giftcard for a supermarket and it had someone else's name on it, so confused i looked at the envelope and it was indeed their name on it, but with my address. It wasnt the name of any of my neighbours (very small village, we all know eachother) and it couldnt have been meant for the person living here before as its a new build house and im the first person to live here.

Hi! My husband and I are looking to take a beach vacation in July. Looking it to make a vacation of pure relaxation so would prefer an all inclusive so we just get to enjoy the food, drinks, beach and pool. Only restriction on place is that is should not require a visa / allow entry for green card holders (which most Caribbean countries are good for). We are vegetarian so hoping that going all inclusive will help with some of those dietary difficulties.
We’re looking for something in the $300-$350 range per night if that’s feasible. Ideally 4-5 nights. It doesn’t need to be a spectacular room but would prefer a spectacular property. Not interested in it being close to bars / clubs or a downtown area as looking to enjoy the property the most.

I made a similar post awhile back, but this is more of a question for a friend. What kind of permits would I need to be able to sell prepackaged cold foods? I wouldn't he making them, just selling them from my card shop. They would be in a stand up freezer. As far as I know I would only need a food handlers license and to be fda approved.

So just over a year ago, I left an abusive marriage, I been staying at an Airbnb since. In an attempt for my ex partner to get me back, got a credit card on my name and maxed it out. There’s no denying that it’s primarily a showcase for WWE, but that’s in part what you have your legends and celebrities for (and their contributions are their star power). And in any case, the Bloodline, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, the Judgement Day, Austin Theory, Edge, John Cena, Becky Lynch, Lita, Trish Stratus, Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Bianca Belair, Gunther, Damage CTRL, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, Omos and Rey Mysterio are all accounted for. That’s a star-studded lineup.
Between them, there are eleven matches, plus possible appearances for LA Knight and Bobby Lashley, which for the latter could still be a match with Bray Wyatt. And then you never know who else will make appearances.
My question is, after some really well-paced PLEs since I began watching again at Clash at the Castle, why are we over bloating the biggest show of the year with a bunch of jobbers and lower-midcarders? It’s mind-boggling to me that Extreme Rules only had six matches, and yet it’s easier for the Viking Raiders to appear at ‘Mania than on one of those cards.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Alpha Academy and Strowman/Ricochet. I was posting about how Liv and Raquel should be on the card as well a few weeks ago. But this is the most thinly-veiled attempt at getting them on the card that I’ve seen. Bayley has missed out before, KO has missed out before, but god forbid Shotzi misses out this time. And the worst part is that there’s no indication that there’ll be any ramifications for the tag champs. Obviously the Usos or Sami and KO working night two as well would be dumb, but they could easily have had an angle of Ronda and Shayna calling Becky and Lita out for them. I know Triple H is keen on tag team wrestling, but all he’s doing is exposing the clear gap between the Bloodline/Judgement Day and everybody else. Heck, the night one main event can be the tag showcase he wants.
And guess what, they’re still having the battle royal on SmackDown! Take a look at this lineup, and tell me who exactly we’d be missing. Knight and Lashley (and Lashley was already booked). That’s it. Gargano’s already working Stand & Deliver, and Legado may interfere in Rey v Dom. Remind me again, how is this connected to André the Giant? Hogan did a good job hyping it up the first time around, but now it’s just a relegation for the wrestlers involved because winning it has benefited no one besides Corbin and possibly Cesaro in the long run.
TL;DR: make WrestleMania appearances mean something again. There were reports of talent unhappiness over potentially missing out this year. To me, that sounds like a perfect incentive to begin working harder so that they make next year’s card, even for the likes of Liv who arguably did deserve a spot this year.

I know this is shallow but as the headline says, I want suggestions on books where the MMC is blond or redheaded, especially if he is a true ginger!
I am really tired of dark-haired heroes. I think the last seven books I read, based on plot alone, had dark-haired heroes. It's always black and touches the collar and falls into their eyes. I know it sounds silly but I am over it. Bonus points if the FMC is brunette with brown eyes. So many dark-haired heroines who always look like Liz Taylor when I read the description.

I’m not here for judgement about our age gap or how he is this or that, please spare me from it.
My boyfriend is not from my country and we live in my country’s capital but still many people don’t speak English, so he’s been saying he feels lonely and isolated. We’ve been together for 1.5 years now, and he is my everything. He was my first in most things, but sadly I wasn’t the first for him in anything.
This immediately came with some problems as he mistrusts women terribly. He comes with a lot of baggage about that, while I have 0 experience in a relationship much less how to gain someone who by default mistrusts me’s trust. We moved in together after about 3 months, as I had to leave my home and we’ve been together since. Things have been hard, but it’s been getting so much harder recently.
He has always had problems with me not doing enough, not giving enough love. I told him I loved him today and he said “If only that were true” when I said it was he just replied “Too little too late”. He says I refuse to improve but I’ve been doing my best, but I am graduating high school this year, my dad died in October so I’ve had to work, and in general I just don’t sleep enough so I’m tired.
He also works a lot because he started his own card game store recently, but I helped with the establishment of it, and I always offer to help but he refuses. He just asks me to go here email this guy, nothing that lightens his workload significantly.
So how I try to help is by cooking food, cleaning the house, getting things in order, but every time I make the smallest mistake he blows up at me and recently that’s been every night. And then he complains he feels I don’t show him enough love, I don’t make him feel at home, or like I care about him. And the cycle just goes on, the next day I try to ignore what happened the day before, and then he tells me how I am shit for ignoring what happened the day before. If I suggest not going to a vacation with him, he just tells me he has an image to uphold that he is happy and alive, when he doesn’t care if he lives or dies.
I don’t know what to do, because I love him. Please help

My situation is so specific I can’t give a huge amount of context, but I don’t know where else to turn than to the internet?
I have a huge issue with anxiety. To the point of panic attacks. Recently I have made a huge life change because I’ve been making awful, horrible, self destructive decisions.
Im very depressed and I know that but I have zero healthcare, and so therapy is not an option. Despite being below the poverty line and having a child (6) I do not get any benefits from work, the government, or any other place. I dont even quality for sliding scale programs but all I can say is I make less than $20 more than the limit for any assistance..
Now for the past 7 years my(f27) partner (m27) have really had a rift. He wanted a kid, I wanted to be child free. Despite protection AND the pill, I got pregnant. I freaked out because I would lose my job that I LOVED. It was the happiest time of my life. The guy I liked for so so so long (almost a year) and I had been together for 11 months. I knew it was a bad idea. My job was the one that made the majority of our finances and I didn’t want to be pregnant or have a child.
Well “love” (read: emotional manipulation) won and I kept the pregnancy. Yeah I’m stupid I know. Our relationship was actually good, we had fun together and the issues we ran into we worked together and fixed them or at least started the process because of my crippling anxiety and his inclination towards anger it was a process but we were a team.
That ended when he used the ultimatum to either keep him and the baby or my job (and life I mean I brought a human into a world like this and I’m doing everything I can to not feel guilt for knowing they will face hardships because my partner would leave me if I didn’t) it was entirely a stupid mistake. He is a good dad but a horrible provider. I’m now depressed and ofc hormones ppd, ppa, I developed diabetes and other chronic health conditions and became, well I wanted to get away from the world but I have a small human that needs me. Stopped wearing my seatbelt or looking before crossing the street.
Partner turned to drugs and we split. He gets clean, we work through it. My health (mental and physical) stresses him out and then he eventually relapses. Couldn’t hold a job, so I worked 2 jobs 4 weeks after having a child. This may give away something personal but after I gave birth, he disappeared after holding our child for nearly 4 hours. Then comes into the room, has not spoken to me at all looks down at arc child, and says, “are you sure the child is mine? “. I should’ve left. But my health and financial situation made it hard. I would end up having to go back because I can’t raise a child and work two jobs. I had one friend and my mom who also has health issues that would watch my little one but has nerve issues. My dad was too far to help. Childcare is expensive Well now the past few months since the last relapse and I live with my mom and we are “trying” but he’s cost me over $5000 and he works but he’s making so little and having to pay for legal costs for possession and a few other things and might go to prison for a few months/years because he enjoys his job despite the pay.
This will be odd but he wanted to apologize and celebrate my birthday. I figured it couldn’t hurt. He couldn’t pay for any of the gifts or food. There’s another $200 but he ordered me two gifts that were collectively $70-90 with shipping maybe..
Since then I can’t eat or sleep unless I’m drunk or take way. More than the recommended dose of sleeping medication. I haven’t cried a lot but today my aunt passed away and I went from crying for hours to deciding I want to leave him and move and get my old job back. I got so happy I danced around work listening to music and finally talking to my friends again.
Idk why I got so excited but I did. Unfortunately something held me up tonight so I went to get food and gas because even though I can’t eat, I keep making meals or buying food and I just stare at it until I just give up trying to eat. While I was there, I met someone here I am just getting out of a horrible relationship. But I allowed him to get my number. Technically, my partner and I are separated but today I did decide to leave them. I just haven’t been able to tell them we haven’t lived together in months. And this other guy and I start texting turns out we have a lot in common. I don’t want another relationship but I’m also moving in a few months. The advice I need to ask about is do I wait and not tell that I am leaving my partner, which would make it easier on me and probably safer or do I end it and maybe pursue seven things like a friendship with flirtation with someone that actually seems to care about the things that I like because he likes them too.? I don’t think it’ll be a forever we’re gonna get married thing just I want to be happy. I wanna have fun and not want to stop existing. I want to get excited when my phone rings instead of dreading what has happened now. I know pretending is wrong, but it would make it easier on my mental health even though I would feel like I’m cheating even though I don’t plan on doing anything like that, just casual flirtation, and possibly being like Internet friends or we don’t see each other, but we talk and play games and watch videos, but virtually using voice chat. I was also able to eat, but only a small amount of fries. I think this decision to leave is a good one. It’s the right one, but do I leave secretly it’s not like I’m gonna hide from him. It’s just that someone else is also on a similar situation. We don’t know each other very well but I know she needs to get out to her more than me, if I go and get everything ready and then come back and get her and our kids we could have a very happy life. I am almost 100% certain that this is the right choice. I just don’t know whether I should be open to my partner or ex partner or if I should tell him and risk it, possibly getting out because my child’s father is very close friends with her partner. I started trying to reach out more with her because I found out how dangerous her situation is. It is benefiting me may be more I don’t know I’m not sure what to do. Tell or wait ?

I am a second semester freshman this school year, and I am sharing a room with someone (let’s call him J) I’ve never met before. I have been J’s roommate since the beginning of last semester and his behavior has been persistent the whole time. He doesn’t seem to care about his school work, and constantly lives as if no one else is in the room. At the beginning of the year, we set up a “contract” required by the school to help us get along. This lays out things such as how we expect to act towards each other and our things, what we will share and not share, when the lights can be on or off and how we will keep the room clean. At the end, I added a statement that basically said some rules (such as the ones that have been stated above) are discretionary, but we must verbally agree on a change for that day or week. It also stated that we could add or remove rules throughout the year if we verbally agree. We agreed that if any issues arises, we would tell each other and fix it. J also never talks or responds to me, he has said maybe 5 sentences to me since the first time I saw him. He also sleeps 12-14 hours a day, his wake hours being 6p - 6a overnight. He never goes to class and only leaves the room to get food or take tests. Something here that’s important to remember, is that he has disregarded all of the rules we put together even after I reminded him of it. Here’s some key events:

1. (Our school has a roach problem, and our dorm is connected to the dining hall, making it slightly more prone to infestation). J would constantly leave half eaten food sitting out on the counter, leave greasy spots everywhere and spill over his trash on the floor. The spilled trash would sometimes have liquids, making the floor sticky. All of this would be left this way for days at a time, until I would tell him (in a very respectful manner) that it needs to be picked up, reminding him of the contract. The breaking point for me here was one day, I had climbed into my bed around midnight after a long say, and a roach ran over my chest and back into my sheets. As I’m trying to crush it on my bed, he laughed at me as if he didn’t cause it from his trash and food laying out. The next day, I sternly told him to clean up his shit while I go to the store to get roach spray, and it better be clean when I get back. When I got back, it was clean but he refused to spray the roach spray I had purchased with my money.
   
2. This kid smells. He showers maybe 2 or 3 times a week and it took him 2 weeks and 4 days to get a toothbrush. Air fresheners have a hard time working. My friends can’t even come in my dorm cause they say it smells that bad 😳. Honestly it’s so embarrassing. He also wears his clothes for long periods of time, so they’re really stinky when they sit in his hamper for 2-3 weeks at a time.
   
3. He plays video games at night before I go to bed, and there’s no problem with that. He talks to people sometimes and honestly I could care less. I’m glad he has fun. It becomes an issue after midnight, the curfew time we set. He doesn’t chat after that time but he plays games that flash a lot, so it becomes very difficult to sleep. I’m writing this at 4:30am cause I can’t sleep due to the flashing. I put a tarp around my bed to try and mitigate the issue but it doesn’t work well. He doesn’t seem to care and isn’t willing to turn his desk or compromise in any way. He also gets visibly frustrated with me (but won’t say anything) when I make any sort of noise that wakes him up during a regular time to be awake like 2 pm.
   
4. He’s stollen stuff from me and looks through my stuff. (I think he looks through my stuff). He stole a gift card and lied about it, but I knew where he put it and exposed him so he gave it back. He’s also stolen pencils and pens. Not expensive, but I never said he could use them or permanently take them. Lots of my stuff also seems to shift around and I’m pretty sure it’s cause he dig through my things, but I can’t fully prove it’s him. My stuff just seems to shift around frequently without me remembering moving it.
   
5. I’m all for people having their own beliefs and living their own lifestyle, but in this situation it makes me uncomfortable. I’m a Catholic, and I put crucifixes and religious items on my side of the room. He hangs up things on his side of the room that my beliefs don’t always align with, but that’s his half of the room so I’m okay with it. What makes me uncomfortable is when he wears/ buys things that directly attack my faith. I know he’s doing it intentionally because I was hesitant to put religious items out for a few weeks, and none of his items turned up until I had put my religious stuff out. Every time I add an item, he seems to add one or two more. This is also an issue because our rules say we will respect each other and our life styles even if we didn’t support it.
   

These are just the main things that seem to happen, but there is much, much more. I’m hesitant to say this, but I think he has a history of mental health problems, so I try to keep some of this to myself because I don’t want to but a larger burden on him. It just becomes very difficult because all of this starts to take a toll on me after a while. I’ve tried to talk to him about issues that there’s been, but he straight up ignores me or puts his headphones back on while I’m talking to him. I know that many people have a bad freshman year roommate experience but I just can’t imagine it being this bad all of the time. I’m not sure what to do to improve the situation? I’m cool with anything you think of.
Forgot to mention that the RA and HRA have got involved and J doesn’t seem to care. He won’t change. I cannot change rooms, I requested and they declined. There’s no change without special permission I cannot obtain.
TLDR: Roommate doesn’t follow any rules we set at the beginning of the year. He’s caused many issues in our room such as roaches, not respecting me and my religion, preventing me from sleeping and showing anger towards me for making even a small noise in the afternoon because he wants to sleep.
Idk what to do to help the situation. Any advice?

Me 31F have been with my partner 31M for about 9 years now.
Backstory: we both live in UK, bur we’re not originally from UK. I emigrated here in 2010, him in 2012 and we met at work.
I have 2 parents and 2 older siblings. My sister lives in UK, my brother lives in my home country with his family.
Now, I can’t say I had the worst family experience, but it wasn’t the best. I was the youngest child, not particularly wanted at that point, because my parents already had my brother and sister. And I felt that during my childhood. My brother abused me physically and mentally since I was a little child, my father didn’t give a damn, and my mother was always angry at me and my sister for literally everything, nothing we ever did was good enough. Also, my parents were always in some sort of debt, we never had nice things, I barely got any presents, and if I ever got one, I was made feeling extremely guilty about it afterwards. So, me and my sister moved out of family home and moved to UK at the first possible opportunity. I promised myself I will not live like my mother, with a man she resents and forever in debt.
Fast forward now, I am pretty much my mother, and in my lowest moments it makes me not want to wake up in the morning.
I was at university and working part time when I met my current partner, he was working full time. When I graduated, we were dating for couple of years and decided to rent a place together. I was currently in debt due to being a broke student, and moving together made my financial situation worse, but manageable, because I landed full time position shortly after graduating. He however decided he wanted to go to Uni as well, which meant for the next 4 years we would live on a full time and part time salary, and our debt increasing. Couple of years forward, I noticed he started receiving some letters in the post which he proceeded to immediately hide from me. That lasted for few months, so I decided to investigate what is happening. I just want to point out, that any talk about money, finances or moving out from UK were met with instant anger. He knew I don’t want to stay in UK and wanted to move out as soon as possible, and knew financial stability is important to me. Anyway, to my shock I found out he took out some debts behind my back, it was about £2500 at that time. He was also paying for a phone contract he didn’t use cause he was too lazy to cancel it. I challenged him on it, I was understanding etc and he promised me he won’t do it again. Not even a week later he took another payday loan for £300. I asked him why he did it and he said ‘I don’t know’. Then gave me a sob story that his mother might have cancer (which she hasn’t , she is quite sickly and her having a potential cancer happened quite often since then). I was questioning my relationship at that point, but decided to stay cause I thought he might change and be more open with money, and be careful. Fast forward another couple of years, he says he wants a child. I never liked kids, I was very awkward around them, didn’t know what to do, and I enjoyed being child free. However, a year later I caved in and got pregnant, because I thought we will have the opportunity to create a loving family on our terms. Shortly before our child was born, I took a consolidation loan to replace our high interest debt and ease the repayments, which now I know was a mistake. Our daughter was born in the beginning of Covid lockdown, I had to give birth and stay in hospital on my own. During his paternity leave he was helping me with the baby, but when he came back to work, his help was less and less. He stopped waking up at night to help, he changed less and less diapers. During this time he also got a promotion at work (he was back doing full time work for some time now), however it meant relocating to another part of the country. We wouldn’t find house to move into in time, so for couple of months he had to drive to a new location. We decided that it was safer for him to stay there during the week and come back on the weekends. I thought he would do it the cheapest way possible with room share schemes etc, but he got mad and said ‘he won’t live with some random people’, and proceeded to stay in hotels, which as you can guess wasn’t cheap. So, the credit card debts I consolidated meant nothing at this point, cause now we had a loan and his credit card which was now getting full. We finally moved, and this is where everything went downhill. He wouldn’t spend any time with his child, every time he came back from work he was stressed, tired and pissed off, every time I asked him something he would literally bite my head off, even over smallest things. Every 5 min he had, he went upstairs and sat in front of a PC watching some YouTube videos, he even took meals with him. So at this point I was doing 100% of childcare, walks, house cleaning, cooking, I was also exercising and dieting to lose baby weight, AND I came back to work. I started to resent him at this point and pretty much stopped speaking to him, cause I had enough of being talked to like trash. Things got little better when daughter got bigger, he spends more time with her, but I still do almost everything and work full time now. Around 1,5 year ago I noticed some similar patterns that happened before - bunch of letters being hidden and his refusal to talk. It continued to the point where he was always short on money after each pay day, even though he earned more than me. So me, on top of the bills I pay from my salary (which leave me with less than £50, I somehow had to fork out 300-500 each month just so we can have food on the table. So by now, my credit card was also full again (also, the loan). So I investigated again (yes I looked through his emails and I’m not sorry, he broke my trust before), and I was mortified. Turns out he owns money to 10+ different companies and debt is more than 11k. I almost had a heart attack to be fair.
So, I am here looking after the child he wanted and I’m tits deep in debt.
Now this is where my problem lies: I am afraid of confrontation. I’m scared of fights and making people angry etc so I still haven’t said anything to him. I want to leave him at this point but I’m scared to have that conversation. I am also waiting for ADHD assessment, which might explain a lot of behavioral problems I face daily. I’m also scared how will I make it alone financially with the child.
I don’t know why I’ve written this post, I know what needs to be done, but I’m so scared to do it I prefer to just wait it out. If someone can give me some logical explanation and solution to the situation I would be grateful.

Forgive me, I don’t seem to know a lot about this and the Catholic publications I read seem to state a lot of things I have never heard of and make it even more confusing for me.
I mean, I have never heard these claims from anything other than a Catholic Church member or from a Catholic publication. I’ll link the publication that made me decide to post these questions. Even the scripture they reference is really a stretch. The word Catholic isn’t even mentioned in the Bible.
The Apostles gave the seven the authority over food distribution and the social work of the Church, the 7 were all Jews.

Hello! So, long story short, I’m on an exchange program with 2 friends in a foreign country. On the beginning of the trip my friend paid for a lot of stuff we have now like utilities and food on her card(which I paid within one week without considering the fees).
Going forward this friend of mine is having quite the financial struggle, so I’ve been paying for a lot of stuff, I’ve lent her quite a heavy sum of money these past months which she still hasn’t paid back.
Now, every time we go to the supermarket to do our weekly shopping, she insists to pay on her card(the only way she can pay) to settle her debt with me, because she doesn’t have another way she can do it. However, when she does this she puts the fees the credit card uses due to the exchange rate, so I’m given much less than what I’ve lent.
So I’ve been quite pissed lately. I also pay some fees when I buy our stuff, the conversion rate and the withdraw rate, but mine is much less because I had the foresight to order Wise before I came, which this friend of mine didn’t despite me advising her. So I’ve been losing quite a lot of money, because on top of my fees (the money I lent her)now I also have to pay for hers(the money she is giving back).
Should I say that because it’s her debt I shouldn’t have to pay those fees? I feel guilty because of all the stuff she bought at the beginning of our journey on her card, but I’ve even took out a lot of money that she owned me to compensate that. I just feel super pissed having to pay fees on top of fees when it is her that has a debt with me. I even prefer to use this money to buy her gifts but not those damn bank fees!

Hey guys, I had some ideas for an Irish civilization and I was wondering what you thought.
Starting Bias: Grassland, Grassland Hills (Tier 2)
Leader: Saint Patrick
Leader Ability
Drive Out the Snakes
Inquisitors can Remove Heresy one extra time and remove 100% of the presence of other religions. +5 Combat Strength for military and religious units against civilizations following other religions.
Similar to Ghandi, Saint Patrick was never a political leader of Ireland, but he is an iconic figure in Irish history and was a religious leader. He wasn't born in Ireland but there's a precedent with Eleanor leading England. His ability is a reference to him "driving out the snakes," i.e., pagans, and bringing Christianity to Ireland. The ability is a copy-and-paste of Philip II's ability since I think it works well thematically with Saint Patrick. It also synergizes well with their unique unit and Defender of the Faith.
Civilization Ability
Emerald Isles
Farms provide an extra +1 food and +1 faith. Farms provide an additional +1 food and +1 faith with Feudalism. Farms provide +2 loyalty per turn, but pillaged farms give -2 loyalty per turn. Tile improvements provide tourism equal to their faith output after researching flight. +100% tourism from improvements in grassland and grassland hills.
This ability is a reference to Irish potato farms, the Irish Potato Famine, and the natural beauty of Ireland. The first part of this ability allows Ireland to grow large cities as well as generate a lot of faith. A farm diamond in 10 cities would provide 80 faith before modifiers after Feudalism, which synergizes with Saint Patrick's ability. It also allows Ireland to go the domination route because you can just buy a builder in a conquered city and slap down a few farms to counter the loyalty penalty. It's not overpowered though because all the enemy has to do is pillage the farms to counter. It also synergizes well with the Grand Master's Chapel, allowing Ireland to use its increased faith yield to win a domination victory.
The second part of this ability allows Ireland to win a cultural victory by generating tourism from faith and doubling tourism from tile improvements in grassland and grassland hills. It also synergizes well with Ireland's starting bias toward grassland and grassland hills. With this ability, a farm diamond in grassland terrain provides as much tourism as a national park while providing faith instead of costing it. I don't think that it's overpowered though because, unlike national parks, farm diamonds can't be boosted by appeal increasing features or improvements and don't benefit from the Eiffel Tower or Golden Gate Bridge. It also buffs Ireland's seaside resorts as well as city-state's unique improvements in grassland and grassland hills. This can be situational given the city-states in the game but it has good synergy with Cristo Redentor.
I had idea for another ability called "Luck o' the Irish," but I couldn't think of any luck based abilities other than Montezuma's Eagle Warrior's ability, and I don't think that fits thematically with Ireland.
Unique Unit
Insurgent
A modern era melee unit unlocked with mobilization that replaces infantry. +3 combat strength in Irish territory. +2 combat strength when defending on hills. +5 loyalty when garrisoned in a city. +5 combat strength against English and Scottish units.
This unit is a reference to the Irish War of Independence. It's a mix between Bà Triệu's and the Zulu's abilities, as well as Georgia's unique unit. An insurgent fortified in woods hills for two turns gains a total of +17 combat strength in Irish territory, +22 against a civilization of another religion with Saint Patrick's ability, putting it two eras ahead. Throw in Defender of the Faith and it gains a whopping +27 combat strength. It does sound overpowered but it's only an extra +10 over what other civs can do and it's mostly defensive and situational. The extra loyalty makes it even easier for Ireland to hold conquered cities in the modern era and thematically makes sense given Ireland's history. The extra combat strength against English and Scottish units is kind of a meme but I thought it made sense historically lol.
Unique Infrastructure
Distillery
A building unique to Ireland that replaces the factory. Provides +4 food and tourism equal to the adjacency bonus of the industrial zone.
This building is similar to Japan's electronics factory and is a reference to the fact that Ireland is famous for its whiskey. It provides +4 food, similar to the +4 culture Japan gets from the electronics factory, but since food is weaker than culture it provides tourism equal to the industrial zone's adjacency bonus. The industrial zone generally doesn't synergize well with a cultural victory because it reduces appeal but that's easy enough to play around, especially with Ireland generating tourism from faith. It also synergizes well with the Craftsmen card and the coal power plant, allowing you to generate 20 tourism from an industrial zone next to an aqueduct and dam. I think it synergizes well with Ireland's civilization ability but it makes the player think about city planning and district placement.
So, what do you guys think? Overall, I think Ireland would be a strong civ focused on a cultural victory, but it could also do religion well and even go for a domination victory. I am a little worried that it's too overpowered though, especially the civilization ability and unique building, so any nerfs are welcome. Also, if anyone at Firaxis is reading this, feel free to use any of my ideas here because I think they'd be a fun civ to play lol
