He eventually met him in person because this new guy was going to be his new manager. Is this considered cheating? If he maybe told me what he was doing, it might be different? Or at least ask if Im ok with him doing this for the sake of his career. When I initially had a weird feeling about it he denied it and would get defensive. Few hours ago this incident ago happened as someone threatened my friend that either he pays them money or they will send his morphed images to friends and family and internet.
My friend is a fisherman and not well educated. Few hours ago he came to me and asked me to send 1k on phonepe to someone and that he will give me cash. He was sweating a lot and looked very nervous. When he gave me QR code to scan, I got warning that transaction is blocked due to security reasons and as I had doubts asked about what happened.
He told me that he had installed app named Jodi which is an matrimony app and texted one girl. I did check it and he hadn't done anything else. He was getting messages on WhatsApp where they sent him images on his FB account and threatening that either he sends them money or they will morph his images. They even sent link to one YouTube where they did poor edit of his photo and constantly kept messages and calling him.
He was very scared that they will ruin his reputation and even begged me not to tell anyone. Was ready to pay them 1k they were demanding but not willing to go to Police station to file complaint with notion that they might come to his home for investigation.
The way he was behaving, I knew I had to do something. Took me several mins to convince and finally take him to Police station. Thankfully for us Police were kind enough to show support and explained to him he isn't the only one who came with such complaints and not to worry. Finally managed to calm him down and deleted all details like social media accounts and deactivated that phone number now.
While the problem is fixed now, I fear what would have happened if I wasn't there. So many incidents have happened where innocent people have been scammed of thousands of rupees and some have even committed suicide. I always make sure my family not to download any apps or talk with strangers on phone.
We can't find these scammers and right now best thing we can do is to spread awareness among our family and friends on such matters and make sure they will not fall prey for such schemes.
Today this happened to my friend and tomorrow it can happen to someone else I know and even to friends and families of any of you as well. Is there any way we can tackle this issue? Cybercrimes are still very hard to bust in India. What can we do in these situations? Any suggestions?

here is some backstory. I have been with my better half for 32 years. Sort of young love sweethearts. We are in our early 50’s. We have had a lot of ups and downs over the years. We struggled a lot. The kids are now gone and there is just the two of us. The house is pretty quiet and I would hear these strange noises at night after I have gone to bed with women talking and he is making very low noises, etc. He would be sitting up and saying he can’t sleep, etc.and he would come back to bed. I started recording these noises because I would think I was going crazy. Unfortunately, my spidey sense tells me he got a feel-connect device with random women and call girls. The talk wasn’t loud enough to hear but my gut was screaming that something was wrong. It began to escalate that he would stay behind while I ran errands during the day. So, I started to record while I was gone. Conversations were pretty clear and especially when he spoke with a booking agent and said she was with one girl more than 10 times and he really liked her. He calls them hookers and tells them to take their clothes off and blow him among other things. So, I confronted him. He denies everything and even offered to sign a legal document that he has never cheated and does not have any sex toys and doesn’t even talk to other women. He even made an appointment with a marriage counsellor for us. He said I hear the tv but I know it isn’t that. He deleted his apps on his phone, gave me his password, credit card details, offered to put up cameras in the house on the condition I deleted the recordings. That night he told this chick that in the bathroom while I was listening that he was having problems with his wife and he would make it up to her. He has a game plan. Where he is getting the money to pay her, I don’t know or if she is doing this for free. My Ah has very low self esteem and I would boost up his spirits, make him laugh, send him boudoir photos when he has a rough day at work for the past 6 months.
Now,after hearing that last call. He isn’t planning to stop. My whole world has come crashing. Three weeks ago, I packed my stuff to leave for a few days but ended up in the hospital instead due to a serious inflammation and he said he couldn’t live without. Me. He states if I did leave, I would had died somewhere in the car running away. He has been attentive lately. But this issue is still lingering. I don’t trust him at all for the first time in 32 years. I don’t even know at this time if I will ever trust him again. I want to hear from others if I should just plan an escape route and just separate from him or continue to still be here and try to fix it?

I've never had a real job, 2019-2022 I was on health issues medication so couldn't work. That made my situation even worse now no one will give me a job as they just ask for work references or see the gap in employment and don't give me a job.
I'm starting to lose patience and it's frustrating me to boiling point. No ones going to help me its easy for my mom to say "no need to get a job" .. yeah right she's only saying that shit cos she has her own house and job & taking hundreds of my sisters money every month on top of that...she doesn't give a shit about me and is using me. DeFi protocols as victims accounted for 82.1% of all cryptocurrency stolen by hackers — a total of $3.1 billion — up from 73.3% in 2021. And of that $3.1 billion, 64% came from cross-chain bridge protocols specifically.

While I firmly believe in the core values of crpyto and ethereum, it's important to acknowledge the evidence, that currently the money of most people is safer on a CEX than in DeFi protocols.
Sure, we've had CEXs going rouge or being fraud (FTX, Celcius, Mt Gox etc.). However, we also seem to have tons of money hacked by unsuspecting users who either were naive or just didn't know about the complexity of certain projects.
For me, I've stuck to really safe protocols and did extensive DYOR before interacting with serious funds there.
Usually, we say "not your keys, not your crpyto". This is true, but the evidence actually speaks against this.

Republican leaders have mastered the art of manufacturing crises to divert the public’s attention from the real crisis of our era – the siphoning of income, wealth and power from most Americans by a small group at the top.
Consider the fake fears they’ve been whipping up:
1. Wokeness
Florida’s governor (and now Republican presidential candidate) Ron DeSantis has declared a “war on woke”.
Immediately after the mangled launch of his presidential campaign, DeSantis claimed on Fox News that “the woke mind virus is basically a form of cultural Marxism”.
What?
What exactly is “woke”? The term gained popularity at the start of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2014, following the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, when many Americans – including white Americans who were seeing the extent of the problem for the first time – awoke to the reality of police brutality against the Black community.
DeSantis’s own general counsel has defined “woke” as “the belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them”.
He’s right. We all need to be woke.

2. Trans people
Former president Donald Trump says that one of his top priorities if he’s re-elected in 2024 will be a “sweeping federal rollback of transgender rights”.
DeSantis and other Republican governors have signed a stream of laws in recent months aimed at transgender rights.
At least 10 states have banned gender-affirming care for minors and another 21 have introduced bills to do so, even as multiple studies have found access to gender-affirming care reduces the risk of depression and suicide for trans children.
Other bills target gender-affirming care for adults. Some ban drag shows.
Why have Republican lawmakers targeted transgender people as dangers to the public? There’s not a shred of evidence that trans people are threats to anyone.
But targeting trans people is a way to court evangelicals. It’s also a way to stir up the base against people who are different, making trans people the sort of scapegoats that historically have fueled fascist movements.

3. Critical race theory
Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin’s “day one” executive order banned the teaching of critical race theory. DeSantis and Greg Abbott, the Texas governor, have also banned it from schools.
Here again, though, there’s no evidence of a public threat. CRT simply teaches America’s history of racism, which students need to understand to be informed citizens.
Banning it is a scare tactic to appeal to a largely white, culturally conservative voter base.

4. Couch potatoes
In the fight over raising the debt ceiling, Kevin McCarthy’s House Republicans added work requirements to food stamps and welfare, arguing that too many “couch potatoes” collect government benefits.
Like Ronald Reagan’s claim about so-called “welfare queens”, the “couch potato” myth is a cruel racial dog whistle. Work requirements will burden many people who often have difficulty finding work that pays enough to live on.
The plain fact is that most poor recipients of public benefits already work extremely hard.
In addition, evidence shows that work requirements don’t lead to long-term increases in employment or to more stable jobs. Most people subject to work requirements remain poor. Some become poorer.

5. Out-of-control government spending
In fact, discretionary spending has fallen more than 40% in the past 50 years as a percentage of the nation’s gross domestic product (from 11% to 6.3%).
Lately, rising deficits have been driven by social security and Medicare (which is to be expected, as boomers retire). They’ve also been driven by defense spending.
But a major culprit for the US’s soaring debt is George W Bush’s and Donald Trump’s huge tax cuts that mostly benefited the wealthy and big corporations – and that will have added $8tn and $1.7tn, respectively, to the debt by the end of the 2023 fiscal year.
House Republicans are even proposing to cut funding for the IRS, which would make it harder for the tax agency to go after rich tax cheats and thereby reduce the debt.
All five of these so-called crises have been manufactured by the Republican party. They’re entirely made up.
Why? To deflect attention from the near record share of the nation’s income and wealth now going to the richest Americans.
As the super-wealthy and big corporations pour money into politics – especially into the Republican party – they don’t want the rest of America to notice they’re rigging the economy for their own benefit, that their unrestrained greed is worsening the climate crisis and that they’re also undermining democracy.
The game of the Republicans and their major donors is to deflect and distract – to use scapegoating, racism and outright lies to disguise what’s really going on.

When I say "you" I do not mean any one person in particular, just "the average person". Though since you are probably an average person this probably does apply to you.
I hear people complain all the time about anything and everything. My landlord charges too much rent for a bad apartment and does no work on it. My job pays too little and expects to much work. My partner does not spend enough time with me. XYZ person is late picking me up to go to ABC event.
Then I turn around and hear people making plans and goals for the future. Wanting to own a rental property. Opening their own business. Starting a new relationship. And the things I hear people plan sound terrible. "I am going to buy a rental property and charge an insane rent each month and only give back half the deposit. Yeah the AC is kinda broke but they can live with it". Or "I just started my own business and hired 3 people but they all only work part time, that way I can pay them less and not give them any benefits".
Normally I would not have a problem with hearing people complain and hearing people talk about their goals or what they are working on in their lives right now, but there is a significant overlap in the people that I hear complaining about a problem and then talking about their goal which makes them sound like they are going to contribute to the problem.
And these people are everywhere. It is not any one city, any one job, any one church or p0litical party or club that I hear this at. I hear these things everywhere. Everyone has a hypocritical nature of "they did XYZ to me and it was so horrible" and at the same time "I will do XYZ thing and it will make me money and get me what I want in life and if it hurts someone else then too bad". The whole "screw everyone who is not me" attitude is making life worse for everyone.
You can have goals. You can look to make life better for yourself. You can look to get the most you can out of life. But you do not need your goal to be "Become a slumlord". If you want to own a rental property then be ready to put in the work, the time, the effort to make your property liveable and set realistic prices.
You want to own a business? Do it, but dont plan on how you can screw over your employees to save money.
You want a better relationship? you are right to demand that your partner not cheat but dont turn around and start flirting with someone else or acting in a way that would make your partner uncomfortable.
You want honesty and respect? great, stop stealing from walmart and justifying it as "they deserve it". You can not do something wrong and Justify it as good. If you want to steal then own it as stealing. You are not robinhood because you snuck a box of condoms out of the self checkout without paying for it, you are just a selfish and dishonest person.
people are always talking about how big corporations or p0litical groups or the 1% are making life terrible for average people, but from my point of view you are making life worse for people like you. You would not be better than the current 1% if you were rich. You would not be better than the current c0ngress if you got elected. You would not be better than your boss if you had your own company.
Yes there are a dozen other factors in play with each specific issue, and details will change the answer to each situation. And yes this does not apply to everyone but it applies to almost everyone. And people are not perfect, i do not expect them to be. But they can be a lot better than they choose to be now. This is just a small rant to say that i think it is the dumbest thing ever to try to say the world is bad because of XYZ when really the world is bad because of you.

So l'm 14, just over one month on T. I was born in Maine, now live in Atlanta. Because of Maine I am able to get my gender marker changed without surgery. I'II be turning 15 in like 3 months and wanted to ask about top surgery when it comes to minors. I have a therapist, endocrinologist and psychiatrist. My therapist goes by the WPATH standards of care which are at version 8, updated in September 2022. I have read over a few times but wanted y'all's take on it. From what is written in chapters 6, 7 and 13 do you think it looks like they recommend double mastectomy for minors? Sometimes I have trouble properly interpreting stuff. I'm aiming for surgery at 16-17, lowest age fifteen. In states like California, Washington or Connecticut for example it is possible. In Atlanta there's like two surgeons who will operate on minors, but Brian Kemp passed a law preventing new people from receiving gender affirming care so I don't think it will affect me but idk. I do know I have to make some money be insurance won't cover for minors here. I also wanted to ask about the process, like getting approved, paying and checkups afterwards. I know I need more than one letter and permission from both parents which thankfully are both supportive. Any help from you guys would be very appreciated.

After finishing the game myself, I went back to watch all the youtube playthrough videos I missed (in order to avoid spoilers). It is incredible to see how many different solutions every puzzle has. This game doesn’t just encourage creativity; it demands it. It made my experience so worthwhile because as long as I kept trying, eventually something worked (ngl, usually used recall as a cheat code). That made completing each puzzle that much more rewarding.
