2023.05.29 17:11 Remo_yesman Im a good Apex Player. Pro Tips
Hey guys, Im a good Apex player, but not because I get 8 to 10 kills a round (because I dont, I'm usually 3/3/3), Not because Im good in the clutch (because Im not, I'm usually 50/50). Im a good Apex player because I dont do anything dumb to jeopardize my teammates. Today I want to share some Pro tips, these tips are in no particular order, and they may seem obvious to a lot of you, but bear with me here. If I miss anything on the list, please feel free to add it in the comments.
PRO TIPS : * Dont spawn in the game Idle, If you "ready up" be for your teammates when the match starts. We know real life gets in the way sometimes, but you manage to hit that ready button, maybe you can take an extra 5 Seconds to leave the Q.
*Dont dropping a high tier loot area 5 seconds after everyone else. We all like dropping hot and getting those instant action kills, but if you're 5 Seconds too late, maybe consider dropping right outside the Hot Zone.
*Pick your battles. Before you shoot at the first thing you see, maybe you should consider your teammates current disposition. Maybe mark them and wait for your teammates, that way we're all in this together.
*Control the engagement distance based off of the weapon you're using. Basically, if you're 100 m away from the target, don't try to tap fire them down with an assault rifle and give away everyone's position, unless you're really that guy, in that case go for it.
*Stop chasing wounded enemies, unless its the last squad. (Unless your that guy) we have all seen it, someone on the team wounds an enemy, enemy tries to make a tactical retreat, teammate charges after him like a maniac. Oftentimes when someone's running away, they are most likely running to their teammates, or they are running for a better position. I know you seen teammates try to chase down dudes before and get absolutely melted as soon as they're out of sight. Chasing someone down is very akin to the old run around the corner and see if the enemy is dumb enough to come after you cliche. So, unless you're that guy, don't chase these guys down unless you know for sure you have the kill and you're not going to put everybody in a compromising situation.
*Try not to take so long to loot.. We all have seen it, that one teammate that just has to lose every freaking room before they go. And that's perfectly fine, as long as you're doing it in a timely manner. A lot of people find it annoying to spend more time looting then actually fighting. Often times when people take too long to loot, some people kind of disengage a little bit, kind of start doing other stuff, now they're not fully focused on the game, then you end up getting melted in your first gun fight cuz you're only half paying attention. Try not to take so long to loot, and for my part I'll try not to get bored in keep my full attention on the match at hand.
*Be conscious of the circle. I don't know how many times, I've died because I have that one overzealous teammate that insist on fighting outside the circle just to eliminate this squad while we're all taking damage. Look I get it, I want to eliminate those guys too, but if you can help it, do it from inside the circle while the enemy is still taking damage and you're perfectly safe.
*Stop sitting on your Ultimate.. look I get it, we're all waiting for that perfect moment to use our ultimate, but if you have an offensive ultimate, use that thing as many times as possible. Don't be afraid to use your ultimate, and you keep waiting for that perfect moment, only to get melted before you can get that thing off.
*Turn on your mic (if you are not a squeeker) if you see a player on your team with a mic, maybe consider turning on your mic and coordinating with them. I'm one of those people that usually keeps my mic muted, but when you have two confident players on the mic, your survivability might improve dramatically.
*Careful Reviving. If you're engaged in a gunfight, an one of your teammates goes down, I get there's a sense of urgency to revive them. The thing is, if there are still enemies around, make sure you clear the area before you attempt to revive them, unless you are using a legend that can either stealth revive, or has a revive ability baked in.
*Have fun. At the end of the day, you're playing a game. You owe it to to yourself to have a little bit of fun while playing this game. Unless you're making money, if you're not having fun while playing this game, then what's the point. Remember stuff happens, and stuff is going to keep happening till the end of time. So, don't let all the little things in life bother you cuz if you do you'll never be happy.

2023.05.29 17:09 trungdle Am I the asshole for being mad at the Brompton customer service agent?
Ordered my Bromton electric P line through the phone, just to realize that I've got the wrong handlebar selected (Mid instead of High). Thought to myself, "no big deal, it's a like-for-like replacement, the order has not been fulfilled, I can just call customer service to get it modified".
I was wrong. There was no phone number to call. Instead, you get a choice between an online chat and an email option. I tried to email, got told it'll take at most 3 business days for them to get back to me. Thought to myself, "maybe I shouldn't have ordered on a Sunday before a holiday", but oh well, I will try online chat tomorrow.
Fast forward to today, finally got to talk to a real agent. This guy - all I know is he's called Richard - asked for my order number, then told me that's there's nothing he can do, LOL. He told me that he can't even see the details of the order, and that he will raise a ticket for me, so that I'll hear back from the team in 2-3 days. He said orders can't be modified once they're in the system, and I'll have to cancel my order and make a new one for the change. Since I ordered through Klarna, I asked if it means I'll have to go through all the steps again. He said he can't tell me anything, as he can't see anything.
So, there will be a 2-3 days wait for me to cancell my current order, put in a new one through Klarna, that I most likely have to input everything again (I wouldn't know since he was so unhelpful) and THEN I can modify my order for a different handlebar option that doesn't even change the price of the order, LOL.
I got mad, asked him if there's another portal that I can get my issue resolved, and let him know that I'm frustrated. Dude straight up told me no, that I'm talking to actual Brompton Customer Service, and that I need to wait 2-3 days for the US team to contact me. I felt like I was begging him to help me the whole time.
I'm so frustrated that I'm thinking of just cancelling it altogether. If this is the level of support I'm going to have going forward, might as well not put myself through it. I'm getting the bike and paying a hefty price just so I can have that peace of mind and look what I've got.
Anyways, shoot me down if you think I deserve it. Am I the asshole?

2023.05.29 16:48 artmalique Different levels of awrah and zina of the eyes?
I know we should not focus on the size of the sin, but rather on who we are disobeying. However, for the purpose of increasing knowledge and understanding, are there different levels of haram when it comes to a person exposing their awrah or looking at someone else's exposed awrah?
I would assume that a man in public wearing nothing but a speedo is a worse sin than a man wearing a T-shirt and shorts which are a few inches above the knee... I would assume that a woman in public wearing nothing but a bikini is a worse sin than a woman fully dressed except not wearing a headscarf... However I could be wrong and they could be equally sinful?
Likewise, I would assume that the level of haram when looking at someone else (from most bad to least) would be: private parts > chest/bottom > legs/belly > arms > hair - but, again, I could be wrong and they could all be equally sinful?
I know we are not held accountable for our first sight as long as we immediately lower our gaze, but sadly in today's society, especially in the West, and especially during summer, it is impossible not to see men walking around shirtless or women walking around in crop tops and miniskirts. In my opinion, we should avoid places like beaches for this reason. But we cannot avoid walking down the street. How can a man never view a woman's hair??
There is a difference between "seeing", "looking" and "checking out" of course. If a person views someone else with no lustful intention, are they still in sin? And are there different levels of sin for different parts of the awrah?

| Hey Guys. I'm new to guns, so I'm looking for advise of what is happening inside my Walther's PDP 5" barrel. It started as few small scratches in mid length upper side in polygonal grooves. It grows today after shooting 70 rounds and it looks bad. I'm cleaning my pistol after each use in range with plastic and brass round brush. We will examine it using boroscope Friday. Before that, any ideas what this could be? Anyone experience this? submitted by Zibski to Walther [link] [comments] |
2023.05.29 16:38 developmentwomens Women’s Rights in the MENA Region: Progress & Obstacles
| https://preview.redd.it/q3l3vcrjpt2b1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fdcca48838631e309ee844aeac6675fc808136f3 A Background to Women’s Rights in the MENA Region Gender equality is a fundamental human right and an imperative foundation which lays the groundwork for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. The development of women’s rights in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region has seen much progress and obstacles over the past decade. However, the unequal status of women stands out as a particularly challenging problem.Following“International Women’s Day” last month, this article provides a snapshot of the development of women’s rights in the MENA region as of April 2023. MENA countries include Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. The MENA region has a reputation for struggling with gender equality. Development of women's rights Therefore, this article focuses on this region. However, it is important to emphasize that the MENA region is not the only place women experience inequality. Gender inequality is also seen in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and North America. Undoubtedly, women continue to face discrimination and significant barriers to fully realizing their rights worldwide. Any Progress in the MENA Region? Governments are developing stronger laws and policies to support women’s rights.Significant laws, policies, and programming developments have focused on gender equality within the MENA region. Moreover, women’s representation in government has increased. Many countries in the region have established “national women’s machinery”. This machinery is used in government offices, departments, commissions, or ministries. All these provide government leadership and support in achieving gender equality.Furthermore, there have been notable improvements in education and health within gender-related indices. There has been an increase in specialized programming to support women’s rights and empowerment in this region.Women struggle to uphold their rights in places like Palestine. It is international human rights laws and conventions which are helping women in advocating for and strengthening their fight. Since the ratification of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) by the State of Palestine in March 2014, civil society organizations and women human rights defenders have publicly advocated for the implementation of the Convention and the passing of a Family Protection Bill, pending since the early 2000s, which would specifically address gender-based discrimination and violence. In turn, this will help to edge women closer towards gender equality in the occupied Palestinian territory. Women are increasing their role in civil society and advocating their rights Women are increasing their engagement in civil society. Women’s and youth feminist civil society has started to dominate the political scene in advocating for and securing gains. In Iran, millions of young women took to the street following Mahsa Amini’s death in police custody for improperly wearing her hijab. These women risked their lives to change the system. Many were arrested and beaten and now face the death penalty for speaking out. This demonstrates women’s power in standing up against authoritarian regimes and fighting oppression.Caption: Thousands walk to the cemetery of MashaAmini’s funeral in Iran supporting women’s rights in September 2022.The Iranian government is brutally repressing women’s voices who courageously stand up for their freedom. The UN has called Iran a “gender apartheid” on women.Women’s civil society actively engages internationally with the “Women’s Peace and Security” agenda. Remarkably, women activists have testified before the United Nations Security Council. The UN Women highlighted the gender impact of conflict and occupation on women’s rights. What Obstacles Hinder the Development of Women’s Rights in the MENA Region? Women face many inequalities within the MENA society, correlating them as second-class citizens with little to no protection from violence. The COVID-19 pandemic has compounded existing inequalities. Moreover, factors significantly reducing space for constructive civil society engagement with governments include ongoing conflict, the revival of extremist religious groups, and increased political turmoil. These international crises created many setbacks in passing long-term legal change. The 2022 global poverty update from the World Bank reports that the MENA region is the only place worldwide where the extreme poverty rate increased between 2010 and 2020. Poverty has a detrimental impact on women’s rights.Gender-based violence is also one of the main challenges facing women in the region today, with devastating effects on their health and well-being and their economic and civic participation.Women protest for the development of women's rights in the MENA region.Caption: Egyptian women in Cairo protest against violence against women [EPA].Read more: Female Genital Mutilation in Somalia Reflects Deep-Rooted Gender Inequality.A striking example of gender-based violence was in 2022 when the Israeli forces shot dead Al Jazeera’s journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in the occupied West Bank. Abu Akleh, a longtime TV correspondent for Al Jazeera Arabic, was killed on the 11th of May 2022 while covering Israeli army raids in Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. Women have no right to nationality in the MENA region The MENA region has the highest concentration of gender-discriminatory nationality laws. An estimated 50% of the 25 countries in MENA deny women equal rights to pass nationality to their children.Algeria is the only country in the region with nationality laws upholding complete gender equality, including women’s right to confer nationality on their children and noncitizen spouse on an equal basis with men. Thus, gender discrimination in nationality laws is one of the primary causes of statelessness in the MENA region, in addition to causing several other human rights violations.Lebanon, Kuwait, and Qatar deny women the right to confer nationality to their children and spouses in all circumstances. Other States, including Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), deny women the right to confer their nationality to children in most circumstances. Malnutrition in women and girls increases by 25% Malnutrition in women and girls increased by 25% in crisis-hit countries in the MENA region between 2020-2022. Over a billion women and adolescent girls are malnourished in the world. This has detrimental health, economic and well-being impacts. Most women and girls affected by this statistic live in the MENA region. Both local and global crises in 2023 could exacerbate the development of women and girls living there. Rising poverty and inequities increase the chances that people will turn to cheap, ultra-processed, unhealthy foods.ddressing malnutrition in women and girls is essential to reduce the gender health gap”Therefore, the world is making slow progress. Issues like soaring food prices, climate change and the lasting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic risk making the nutrition crisis an even more significant problem in 2023. Nutrition is a widely overlooked issue; coordinated access and policy intervention are urgently needed.Read more: Children’s Rights in Yemen Are Teetering on the Edge of A Catastrophe. The opinions and attitudes of citizens across the MENA region were recorded in the latest Arab Barometer survey from October 2021 to July 2022. This is the largest publically available survey published since the onset of COVID. Its results were shocking across 12 MENA countries, which collectively are home to 80 per cent of the citizen population in the Arab world. The findings give an unprecedented insight into the everyday lives of these citizens. submitted by developmentwomens to u/developmentwomens [link] [comments] |

2023.05.29 16:28 hillenium Does Every Culture and Civilization Have Monotheistic Roots?
By:Bheria May 25, 2023 Islam, as a system or way of life that imposes itself as being the obvious truth, necessarily makes many claims and propositions.
One of these is that it is the last revealed religion, as
we had discussed in a recent article.
Another claim is that all human communities were greeted by messengers and prophets who taught them Tawhid (pure monotheism) before they innovated and corrupted the original message, birthing the cults and religions we have today.
Among the many Qur’anic verses on the subject, including the following:
Indeed, We have sent forth among every community a messenger [with the commandment]: You shall worship Allah [alone] and shun [all] false deities [and objects of worship]! So among them were those [people] whom Allah guided [aright]. And among them were those who [persistently rejected guidance. Thus they] deservedly remained astray. So journey in the earth, and see how [devastating] was the end of those who belied Allah! (Qur’an, 16:36)
Under the explanation of this verse, Ibn Kathir writes in his
Tafsir:
Allah continued sending Messengers to mankind with this Message, from the first incidence of Shirk that appeared among the Children of Adam, in the people to whom Nuh was sent—the first Messenger sent by Allah to the people of this earth—until He sent the final Messenger, Muhammad ﷺ, whose call was addressed to both men and Jinn, in the east and in the west.
The inference from such information is that all communities were taught about Tawhid and that, despite the now deformed message, it may still feature some features of the original monotheism that they were supposed to maintain.
Due to this, many Muslims have sought to “recuperate” some religions and even religious figures. For example, many have supposed that
Zoroaster, the founder (or more correctly the Mazdean reformer) of Iran’s main pre-Islamic religion
might have been a prophet. Similarly, the late Muhammad Hamidullah—the prolific and polyglot Indian-born pioneer of Islamic Studies in France—famously suggested in the explanatory notes to his translation of the Qur’an into French (the first by a Muslim) that the historical Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) may also have been a prophet (those who speculate regarding the supposed potential prophethood of the historical Buddha tend to look at Surah 95).
RELATED: The Traditional Buddhist View of Women: Feminists Beware Of course, they all remain cautious and speak only in terms of hypotheticals. This is because we simply cannot assert that any such figure was a prophet or messenger of Allah without the existence of solid grounds for such a claim within the Qur’an or Ahadith (prophetic narrations).
But Muslims are not alone in trying to trace the monotheistic roots of the world religions. Once upon a time, Western anthropologists were immersed in this venture too.
“Primitive Monotheism” in Western Anthropology
“Primitive monotheism” is basically the idea that all communities essentially began as monotheistic prior to degenerating into different forms of polytheism.
The first modern proponent of this idea was the Scottish poet Andrew Lang, who was active during the second half of the 19th century.
These were the decades in which Darwin and his theories were slowly encroaching the Western intellectual discourse and public imagination. Due to this evolutionary approach, the “simple” religion was viewed as just a form of adaptation to the society itself, and when the society evolved, the religion evolved along with it. Monotheism was thus considered to have followed “primitive polytheism,” which is often equated with tribal cults and animism.
Edward Burnett Tylor—perhaps the foremost acclaimed British anthropologist of his days—was someone who propagated such an evolutionist approach, to the extent that he could potentially be regarded as the spiritual father figure of evolutionary anthropology, if not the entire field of modern anthropology. In fact, it was Tylor who popularized the term animism within the public discourse.
It is not difficult to guess the ideological underpinnings of Tylor’s worldview. He lived at a time when the British Empire was at its peak, and by saying that polytheists are uncivilized by virtue of their belief system, he was essentially justifying British imperialism.
On the other hand, Andrew Lang, who was Tylor’s student and disciple, disagreed. He believed that monotheism is not merely some sort of evolution which tells us about a society’s so-called complexity but rather that it is a concept of its own right. According to him, it was not something to be used for differentiating some “savages” from the “civilized” crowd.
Lang even debated directly with Tylor on this issue, arguing that the idea of a Supreme Being, creator, benevolent, source of morality, etc., is the default position so to speak, not some sort of animism.
Lang looked at the Australian Aboriginals in particular and their concept of the “sky father,” Baiame.
During the 20th century, many would actively promote this idea of primitive monotheism. Included among them were famous anthropologists such as Paul Radin, who was one of the most influential American anthropologists of the first half of the last century, having studied Native Americans in particular.
But the most important figure was someone named Wilhelm Schmidt, a Catholic priest from Germany. Over the course of four decades (1910s–1950s), he compiled a 12-volume work entitled
The Origin of the Idea of God.
To get a basic idea regarding the scope of this work, we can read the following summary of its main thesis (albeit with some criticism) by Stanley Arthur Cook, who was a professor of Hebrew at Cambridge. He writes in his article “
Primitive Monotheism” (1931), published in
The Journal of Theological Studies (p.2):
From the evidence for the prevalence of beliefs in High Gods or Supreme Beings among people who are ‘ethnologically’ primitive, Father Schmidt argues that a monotheism of a strikingly pure character distinguished the very beginning of the history of religion but has been overlaid by the less pure when not degraded cults of peoples living at higher stages of developement. […] From his survey of the peoples who are held to be ethnologically primitive, Father Schmidt constructs a picture of the worship of a Supreme Being, a personality transcending all experience, omnipotent, universal cause and creator, omniscient, beneficent, all righteous, father, giver of moral law, and the centre of cult. These Primitives include pygmies, Tasmanians, Algonkins, Eskimo, etc., and are food-hunters. Above them in the scale are the Primary peoples, living at the stage where man exploits nature. They fall into three classes, each with religious characteristics : (a) matrilineal, agriculturists (with lunar ideas, mother goddesses), (b) patrilineal, totemists (solar ideas; men are prominent), and (c) patrilineal, nomads (sky-gods, social hierarchy). Next, with all sorts of complex crossings come the Secondary and Tertiary cultures, the latter comprising the old civilizations of Asia, Europe, and America.
RELATED: Sikhism’s Dubious Monotheism – Between Auto-Deification and Book Worship This idea of “primitive monotheism” is no longer popular in Western anthropology, due primarily to the secularization of the West. The concept of primitive monotheism is considered to be too indebted to a Eurocentric and even Christianized definition of religion. What is preferred now is the “phenomenological” approach. This is the idea of learning a religion directly from its adherents, without superimposing Western concepts onto it.
Such a methodologically secular and even postcolonialist approach is quite clear in James L. Cox’s 2014 book,
The Invention of God in Indigenous Societies.
Yet even if the interpretation were to differ, the ethnological data remains. Furthermore, the interpretation of the adherents themselves may itself indicate towards primitive monotheism. For example, this was the case with Hehaka Sapa (also known as Black Elk), a Native American religious figure who said that the concept of
Wakan-Tanka (“The Great Mysterious”)—found in varying forms in virtually all Native American shamanism—contained a belief in the Supreme Being, though in a pantheistic way. This is quite clear in his discussions with ethnologist Joseph Epes Brown.
In Black Africa, the Shona people of Zimbabwe believe in
Mwari, a Supreme Creator (though one that has a sort of internal duality); in Latin America, the Aztecs have Ometeotl; and pre-Islamic Iranics who didn’t accept Zoroaster’s reforms have Zurvan. All of them believe in a sort of unique Supreme Creator. However, their belief in this Supreme Creator includes a belief in there being some sort of internal duality within them. This would, of course, mean that their initial beliefs had already been corrupted.
We could go on providing numerous other examples—and Schmidt has already covered pretty much all he could for every continent—but the point is this:
Despite this belief having been polluted in many cases (with that pollution later degenerating into different forms of polytheism, including animism), every civilization and culture seems to have held a belief in the idea of some kind of unique Supreme Being.
It thus seems that the Qur’anic claim of every human society being graced with some divine message resonates with anthropological research. Of course, this is not to say that there was ever any doubt regarding the veracity of the Qur’an’s claims to begin with; or that the Qur’an needs any sort of support or validation from contemporary sciences.
But, that being said, all of this should serve to make us more conscious and appreciative of Tawhid and Iman (faith), along with our own individual and even societal approach to them. Let us be grateful to Allah for endowing upon us these great blessings by increasing in our worship and devotion.

2023.05.29 16:04 PennyworthInvesting Canada Nickel Announces Initial Drilling Success at Mann Northwest Property, Assay Updates at Midlothian & Sothman
Canada Nickel Company Inc. (TSXV: CNC) (OTCQX: CNIKF) released assay results today from its 100% owned Sothman Property located 70 kilometres south of Timmins, Ontario, its optioned Midlothian Property and initial drilling results from the first 4 holes at its optioned Mann Northwest property.
Bottom Line: Canada Nickel continues to generate surprisingly strong exploration results from properties nearby to the main Crawford nickel resource. With Crawford estimated to generate US$1.2 billion of net present value from only 1.6 km square kilometers, the fact that Canada Nickel is finding similar grades of nickel ore on another 19 sq kilometers means the team has likely found a new world class nickel district.
With a preliminary economic assessment for Texmont and the feasibility study for Crawford expected this year along with further announcements on construction funding, Canada Nickel has several catalysts coming that will prove they are the next major nickel producer outside of Indonesia. At a market cap of only US$124 million, the risk reward is significantly weighted to the upside in our view.
Size Comparison of Canada Nickel's Properties
Crawford is 1.6 km²
Mann Northwest is 6 km², approximately 4X the area of Crawford
Mann Central is 3.1 km², approximately 2X the area of Crawford
Mann Southeast is 4.1 km², 2.5X the area of Crawford
Newmarket is 2.1 km² – 1.3X the area of Crawford
Mann Northwest Property
The Mann property is located 22 kilometres east of Crawford and 45 kilometres northeast of Timmins. The property consists of at least three main ultramafic targets like that at Crawford –Mann Northwest with a target footprint of 6.0 km2, Mann Central with a target footprint of 3.1 km2, and Mann Southeast with a target footprint of 4.1 km2 – compared to Crawford target footprint of 1.6 km2 (see Figure 1).
Drilling started in the Northwest zone, with the first four drillholes intersecting very strongly serpentinized peridotite and minor dunite. These first four holes delineated mineralization along 800 metres of strike length and a width of at least 500 metres within a total target length of 10.4 kilometres. Mann Northwest remains open in all directions. Mineralogy and assays are pending.
All four holes collared in dunite/peridotite with lesser intersections of pyroxenite and some minor dykes (Figure 1). All holes show strong serpentinization, and fine-grained mineralization throughout.
Midlothian Property
Canada Nickel has an option to acquire the Midlothian property from Canadian Gold Miner. The property is located 70 kilometres south-southeast of Timmins, 25 kilometres west of Matachewan and is directly accessible by road. Four drillholes were completed during the winter of 2023. Hole MID23-01, which entered mineralized dunite after 2 metres of overburden, intersected 0.28% nickel over 343 metres with the hole ending in mineralized dunite (see Table 1 and Figure 2). The first two holes (MID23-01 and MID23-02) were sent for QEMSCAN thatshowed awaruite to be the dominant nickel-bearing mineral (April 13, 2023, release). Assays for the remaining holes are pending.
Sothman Property
The Sothman property consists of 50 mining leases acquired from Glencore Canada Corporation (“Glencore”) in 2021 and totaling 1,000 hectares. Canada Nickel has a 100% interest in the patents subject to certain royalty and offtake provisions with Glencore. The property has a high-grade West Zone and a large tonnage, low-grade East Zone, both road-accessible by an all-year road (Figure 3). A power line corridor is located less than 6 kilometres east of the property.
Sothman West Zone
Drilling in the West Zone targeted high-grade nickel with ten of eleven holes intersecting mineralization. The best intersections (Table 2) occurred in SOT22-09 which encountered 1.28% nickel over 5.3 metres within 192.3 metres of 0.31% nickel and SOT22-08 which encountered 0.99% nickel over 10.5 metres within 77.7 metres of 0.37% nickel.
The West Zone is mineralized along a strike length of approximately 300 metres, a width of 100-120 metres and remains open at depth. There is a shallow historical resource of approximately 190,000 tons of 1.24% nickel1).
Sothman East Zone
Seven drillholes were drilled within the East Zone, a large, highly serpentinized, ultramafic sill composed mostly of peridotite and dunite and delineated mineralization across 1.6 kilometres length and ranging in width between 160 and 300 metres open at depth. The magnetic anomaly measures 2.2 kilometres along strike.
All seven holes intersected mineralized peridotite and dunite (see Table 3). SOT23-18 intersected 319.3 metres of mineralized peridotite at 0.29% nickel starting at 15 metres downhole. Six of the seven holes had mineralized intervals over 140 metres. SOT22-02 intersected 31.5 metres of 0.62 g/t Pt+Pd hosted in a Pyroxenite-Peridotite transitional contact.

2023.05.29 15:53 Famas_1234 Whose track is this? How to spot FFXIV music composer by hearing (analysis + review)
| Cover image: Composers of FFXIV Endwalker (Famitsu, Feb 2022). Staffs (left-right): T. Imamura, M.Soken, D. Ishikawa Yeah it's me talking about FFXIV soundtrack again. The TLDR is in Part 1 (scroll below) It seems that FFXIV has so many tracks then some people recently figured it out which track is composed/arranged by whom just by hearing. I don't have experience on music producing, but at least I can hear and spot a bit for newer tracks including 6.4. This is for me the naive method to find and spot the composer style and pattern. Although this post can be "in-depth", I'm a bit not sure as that needs proper knowledge on music composing and producing, which I don't have that much for now. If you're working on music stuffs, you can also share the composition breakdown too. I assume you know better than me for this. The scope I'm using is composers of Shadowbringers and up because we no longer saw previous composers done something after those. I refer to previous composers like ARTUS Inc. and other companies. Although I want to include Yukiko Takada, I'm not sure if she's still working for FFXIV or SE after 5.x so I opted her out as ongoing composer pls hope she's in FFXVI. However, the tracks are not limited to past expansions like Soken's work in the past such as pre-ShB. Currently the composer lineup is the lead M. Soken himself, T. Imamura, D. Ishikawa, and the new one Saya Yasaki, who debuted from patch 6.1 and up. In case of Yasaki, I'll plan for a separate appreciation post but I have to wait until full 6.x album which is kinda long. Third party composers like Y. Suzuki usually get hired again for few orchestral tracks, at least for each album, so I can still opt him in the guide. The Primals is included. but still discussed in the style of the music for a bit. As I said above, each composer has distinct style in other ways. The purpose of the writing is to guess and spot the composer. Let's get started. Please beware the tracks maybe a spoiler up to 6.4, but if you don't mind it's fine too. Part 1: General This will be a short explanation on what and how they usually do in the composition. I'll say this is basically the TLDR for Parts 2 and beyond Assignments Usually some composers are assigned to do their own scope. For example, composer A only does particular series whereas others like B and C do another series. Sometimes they collaborate together to produce a track. That also describes their style on doing tracks. For example in this current case, Imamura is assigned to do more modern tracks like rock and techno genre, Ishikawa is assigned for orchestral tracks, Yasaki is assigned for more calming tracks, and so on. For example: - Imamura: mostly early parts of Eden raids, Bozja content, and others with modern genres
- Ishikawa: mostly dungeon parts with orchestral sounds
- Yasaki: mostly calming parts which also includes Alliance Raid dungeon themes
- Soken is the oddball here since he's the lead composer. He can be involved anywhere. But previously he worked on main melodies like field music
General mixing This one is a bit tricky to hear because some are similar. However, the mixing is combined with samples so composers have characteristics in terms of mixing. Example: - Imamura: bass and treble are more clearer. Not as complex as Soken
- Ishikawa: the same, but a bit less prominent
- Yasaki: can't say due to few tracks, but at least still clear
- Soken: likes to dump all to mids especially drums. some instruments don't get the spotlight together due to complexity
General composition style Assignments can influence composition style. Recurring leitmotifs usually used for driving the melody. Some composers break those leitmotifs apart to carefully place into most crucial moments in their composition - Ishikawa usually uses the piano in the orchestral piece. If it's in band environment, there should be teraditional instruments. He can break leitmotifs into some pieces as if they were hidden in plain sight. In terms of genre, he's playing it safe
- Imamura usually takes the modern approach. If you ask me, he's the modern Soken (is it though?). He's a bit unhinged at some times especially when he composed techno tracks. The composition is a bit stable which is noticeable in rock songs
- Yasaki's output is still unknown but at least produces some calm output except the hippo ride
- Soken is the prelude enjoyer and leitmotif abuser. But he knows how to outdo even with those two factors. His composition is sometimes experimental, a driving force to other composers to do the same. He likes to change movements to make composition interesting. Most prominent on drum progression..
Part 2: Instrument and Genre Usage In this part, I will break their instrument usage by its genre, from the samples to individual composition style. For tracks, I intentionally don't include the link as I will mentioned repeated examples. Go find in Youtube, at least in private browsing in case you don't want to screw your recommendations. Seriously, annotation is as mess in long posts. Drums Samples, soundfonts, whatever you say... In case they're doing arrangements involving drum set, those tracks become obvious. Each composer has their own drum samples. Here are the examples just to hear the drums: - M. Soken: What Angel Wakes Me, A Long Fall, To the Edge
- T. Imamura: Fierce Air Forceth, Blinding Indigo, Blood on the Wind
- D. Ishikawa: The Extreme (Shadowbringers), Seven Flames
While the others have single drum set samples which seems fine, Soken has so many drum samples that it can be inconsistent in case of which drum did he use. With that, let's flashback a bit on his drum samples across the expansions, let's say prior Heavensward and Stormblood. While the generation seems out of scope, it's still him so I want to bring it historically. On Heavensward, he's started not to shy away for his quirks about genre exploration. But we're talking about drums now. The best example is Alexander series (Locus, Brute Justice, Exponential Entropy, and Rise). You can hear today how old that sound is. Onward to Stormblood, at that time the drum composition split into two samples, the "retro" one and the "modern" one. The retro one is used when he was arranging Uematsu's music back in Omega raids, and the modern one was what he usually composed during these days, including his work on The Four Lords series. Here are the examples: - The retro leans into more treble sound with muddy mids: A Battle Decisively, Dancing mad IV, Amatzu Kaze
- The modern is safer and more balanced: Final not Final, Wayward Daughter, Sunrise, From the Dragon's Wake
But that's just me, I divided his samples and mixing into two. It might be the same samples at all. I can't really comment on his ShB drums besides What Angel Wakes Me because some tracks involving drums were not him, but rather ARTUS Inc. which i don't cover here. Back to the scope. Imamura has his own samples which is kinda different if we hear the others. His samples are a bit modern, with clear sounding of cymbals and kick. I can hear it clearly. It's something that we can praise for the sound upgrade. Ishikawa rarely done some band arrangements but his premise was at least there. The sound is at least clearer too. The style The second one is the style. Some are simple, some are great, but some are maybe unrealistic. Each composer has their own style on composing the drums and percussion. Let's hear again, I'll post the obvious: - Soken: Infinity, From the Dragon's Wake, Hic Svnt Leones, Battle II (Endwalker), Embers
- Imamura: Black Wolf Stalks Again, Wrath of the Harrier, On Blade's Edge, Scream
- Ishikawa: I can't find anything besides what I mentioned before
Save Soken for a while, I gonna discuss Imamura first. He's the stable and consistent guy. This composition seems a bit more realistic, maybe inline with what we usually hear from The Primals arrange. Black Wolf and On Blade's Edge give similar style which I can associate for Scream. I think Scream is a bit slower on the refrain but at least the premise is there that his style is prominent. Soken on the other hand...what just happened? Alright you got it, the style is drastically different. He likes fast paced drums with unconventional writing, perhaps too ambitious it can become unrealistic. I appreciate its complexity though. This becomes apparent during The Primals arrangement where the drum composition is a bit different. Compare A Long Fall the original version to band version as the example, or Rise band version too if you want to hear again. How about the fanmade cover? At least I found Joe Muntal doing great drum cover on HSL and Embers. That aside, Soken's not always fast, you can hear the slow parts even though it's still fast, eScape for example when the music towards refrain. He likes to change drum progression and movements, something that becomes a challenge for drum covers. To differentiate Imamura and Soken composition, another evidence between these two is how it's constructed. Sleeping Penguin did some transcription for HSL and Scream. Then, you know the picture. That's all for the drums, but how about the other aspects? Guitars Guitars are the powerful part of FFXIV music, ranging from leads and rhythms. But don't forget about the acoustic part. I assume composers already done guitars in some ways and methods. Let's (re)hear the following: - Imamura: lead heavy with clear sound, more acoustic performance. Examples: Black Wolf Stalks Again, Wrath of the Harrier, The Nautilus Knoweth
- Ishikawa: a bit heavier on rhythm, also can do acoustic. Examples: Where All Roads Lead, Seven Flames, The Ewer Brimmeth
- Soken: rhythm heavy (also fast), warm leads, some are a bit too metallic, chord progression is more personalized. See below for examples
To put it simply, Soken relies more on chords so he likes to emphasize the rhythm but he can also lead even though it's less obvious due to his mixing. On the other hand, Imamura likes to stand out with his leads. Moreover, Imamura also performed the acoustic more, which FFXIV lacked before. Besides these two, Ishikawa also likes to play rhythm more so it seems like he's still learning from what Soken does. His twist is that he's less for guitar, but more to string sections with the violin family (I'll discuss later in classic instruments) Historically, Soken's guitar style is kinda different for each expansions. The most obvious is his Stormblood era where he liked to spam one chord for the buildup. What's that? I'll give the example: - One chord buildup/progression: Wayward Daughter, eScape
- Journeys album: Rise, eScape, Sunrise
Yes, I mention eScape twice. This song has way too much influence for FFXIV music, or basically you can say "one of FFXIV musics of all time". Have I mentioned retro stuffs in drums section? Yes, with addition, there are some treble sounding guitar compositions he usually likes to do. The examples are here: - Treble-heavy guitar: A Battle Decisively, Dancing Mad IV, Dangertek, Amatsu Kaze
Another one is the progression which dubbed "The Soken Prog". This at least helps what happened until these days. This one is a bit older than the prog he used to do now. Recent example is P8S theme "White Stone Black" PS: seriously, pre-ShB tracks are a bit like wild west like there's no standard of it. At least late Stormblood was getting stable As a compilation, the amalgamation of those styles since ARR are into one track which is Endwalker - Footfalls. Each movement has different guitar style. There is one chord spam, the known progressions, warm leads, and more. Bass You want some fat bass or clear, trebled bass? I'll give example of how they sound like by the composers: - Soken: emphasizes more on mids, sometimes a bit trebled. This one is prominent at "Dancing Mad IV". The bass also sounds muddy at that time so sometimes it's hard to notice the strums especially changing notes. Regardless, his bass work is a complex
- Imamura: he likes fat bass, good for basshead users. This is prominent at 'On Blade's Edge" which has bass solo. Besides that track, the composition likes to repeat, playing safely
- Ishikawa: somehow he's underrated here. On "The Extreme", while it's not as clear as it suggests, his work is rather interesting as the composition may be like what Soken does.
Piano (and Keyboard) Alright now this is something. If we're talking about piano, there's no BS whether it's a custom filtering or not, because we're talking about techniques here. Yes, you are probably thinking about Keiko, but what if it's not her? You can see Flow's piano is performed by Soken and The Exarch's farewell scene "Forever at Your Side" was performed by Imamura. Who do what then? I'll give examples for the piano section: Piano as main instrument - Soken: The Scars of Battle, Tomorrow and Tomorrow (original), Flow (original)
- Imamura: Dynamis (early section), Forever at Your Side (early and end section), Answers (piano version)
- Ishikawa: Those We Can Yet Save, Each Drop
Piano as supporting instrument (could be in band environment) - Soken: Ink Long Dry, Carrots of Happiness
- Imamura: i can't find yet
- Ishikawa: basically his work on orchestra environment, such as Heroes Forge Ahead, Finality,
Let alone solo piano, that thing has to understand raw technique. Now let's jump straight to other environment. Soken, besides the solo work, he likes to utilize piano with jazz chord with half modulations. This is evident on his last section of Pulse "Equilibrium" too. That's contrast with Ishikawa's piano on his orchestral works. His piano is utilized as the lead chord, as it is noticed in solo performance (piano concerto? i forgot the term) in Heroes Forge Ahead Voice Filters This one is easy. FFXIV relies on voice filters until today. As for the experience whether you like it or not, it varies. Let's get to the point: Soken is the one who likes to use filters as they (the staffs) have professional experience on singing (it's okay). He intended to use heavy filters for their staffs and himself, but minimal for professional singers like Jason Miller or such. For me, there are types of filters he use: - Clear: Sunrise, To the Edge, Flow Together
- Robotic: Locus, Brute Justice
- Radio: Under the Weight, Rise, eScape, Hic Svnt Leones, White Stone Black
- Distort: Amatsu Kaze, Return to Oblivion
Of all of these, He mostly uses radio mode, the filter he uses since ARR until now. Although it's often, it feels old, like since 2015. The filter breaks on high notes or hissing sounds, something I hope he has to change the filter. On the other hand, clear filter is used for pro singers where he mixed with more treble and a bit of gain. Sunrise and To the Edge is apparent for this. If there's a usage for all or some filters, Shadowbringers (the track) is the best example to represent all the filters he likes to use (I'm not saying Shadowbringers is the best track. I just give the best example). Imamura also jumped to the ship with filters, except his is different with somehow updated filters. - Clear: Scream
- Radio: Blood of the Wind, The Queen Awakens
As you can see, although this one is a bit tricky to discover, at least you can find the picture. He doesn't rely on filters since what he mix here is actual singer (Scream) or a voice sample (Blood on the Wind) Part 3: Ensembles Whether you like classical or electronic, this section will analyze the overall style in respective genre Classic instruments Classic instruments especially programmed ones become a challenge for composers to make it right. That's no exception for FFXIV composers. The most prominent is how they use strings and brass for the composition. It's hard to break down, but at least given with their composition style, you can finally see the picture. However, the first thing I want to say is about the evolution of them doing samples, especially Soken. From ARR to Heavensward. the violin solo he used is still robotic at that time. Examples like "Hard to Miss" and "Infinity" is I believe the same font he used. Compare that to Stormblood's "Into the Dragons Wake" where there are solo/duet violin involved but it's much smoother in terms of note changes. That's only one aspect, I believe they also changed the samples for mimicking real instruments. Orchestra environment Back to today. Here are examples of how they do in orchestra environment: - Ishikawa: In the Belly of the Beast, Force Your Way (ShB), Heroes Forge Ahead, Finality, The Aetherial Sea, Of Countless Stars, etc etc etc (yeah he's excel at this)
- Imamura: Forever at Your Side, Dynamis, Radiance
- Imamura-Ishikawa: Tower of Zot (EW), Your Answer
- Yasaki: Pilgrimage, Troian Beauty (EW), Favor
- Soken: In the Arms of War, Unbowed, In the Balance (double arranger)
- Suzuki: Promises to Keep (double arranger), Endcaller, The Final Day
On orchestra setting, Ishikawa takes the lead, hence why he handles more in MSQ tracks alongside Yasaki as today. Imamura is a bit seldom in orchestra environment, at least he's known for Dynamis. But if we blend those, we got "Tower of Zot" and "Your Answer". The orchestration is clearer The thing about orchestra setting is when they're being assigned to do orchestral tracks together, it's kinda hard to differentiate as their sound is almost the same, except some circumstances where the instrument is a bit updated/outdated. This is noticeable in Soken's composition. Some old instruments since ARR or Heavensward are used until today but in reality it's kinda off-putting combined with updated instruments. That's different to "In The Balance" with double arranger setup. All setups are modern and more clearer. PS: "In the Balance" is a perfect track. It is their best work on mixing and instrument ensemble usage Yasaki is a bit new, but I'm going to include here on this environment. Yasaki did some calming tracks, but that's what i only know so far. The best I can do is wait. Band environment This is where it gets different even with classic instruments. You can hear the drums I mentioned before. I give you examples again: - Ishikawa: Where All Roads Lead, Seven Flames, Rhythm of the Realm
- Imamura: On Blade's Edge
- Soken: In the Dragon's Wake, Battle II (Endwalker)
Even in band arrangement, Ishikawa still uses classical/traditional instruments in the track, something that you see unusual for both Imamura's and Soken's band based tracks. If you see some traditional instruments in the band, it must be him. Electronic instruments PS: to be fair, most tracks here are MIDI-powered including synth orchestra. Also another note: this is the last section before I post it Get ready to dance for electronic instruments, ranging from simple electronic beats to fast paced DnB. In this section, I'll include Pulse album because that also influences composer's style until this time. We've seen techno instruments here for a while. Sometimes, we notice the samples used and composition style for techno music. There are subgenres but I don't want to get deep because I don't really verse on this much, but you get the picture. The track examples are: - Soken
- Chill: Rival Wings, Sands of Amber, One Small Step
- Dance: Equilibrium (Pulse), Return to Oblivion
- Trance: Woe That is Madness, White Stone Black
- Whatever this is but the share same samples and mixing: Dangertek, Primal Angel
- Imamura
- DnB and dubstep: A Long Fall (Pulse), Twice Stricken
- Dance: Sunrise (Pulse), Rise (Pulse), Miracle Works
- Others: Garlemald Express
- Ishikawa: Mother's Pride (Pulse), Under the Weight (Pulse)
- Yasaki: Hippo Ride
Alright that's it. I want to point out Soken's electronic work. The tracks are noticeable in mixing where sometimes the sound breaks like Dangertek. The same as Primal Angel where it breaks on the treble side. Other than that, he's fine. The chill tracks seems to be his best one to demonstrate. Imamura's work is prominent on his mixing. As I said earlier, the mixing is in the wide sound range. You can hear the bass louder this time. The best examples are what he's done in the dance subgenre Although last two can do electronic music, the sample is still few so I can't really describe much on them PS: Twice Stricken is one of Imamura's best work on electronic style Part 4: Conclusion and Suggestion They're simply great. The only suggestion is make sure to update/upgrade/change the samples if it feels old. But if don't want to, it's fine. Sometimes you don't need to fix what's already stable. Does the Another thing I want to note is that some composers have their own samples per instrument. I wonder if they can share their samples especially the essentials like drums, strings, and brass Predicting patch 6.4 and unpublished tracks until the official EP comes So, how to demonstrate all these patterns to the music with unidentified data like orchestrion roll? I'll demonstrate my prediction for 6.4 tracks. Obviously as the announcement said, we got new MSQ, raids, and criterions Based on the evidence and analysis I've done above, I can speculate whose track are those: Panda: - P8 (6.2): Soken: complex drums, leitmotif usage
- P9: Imamura. Explanation: fast electronic beats with robotic voice like The Queen Awakens. The composition has dubstep influence he got from Pulse version of "A Long Fall"
- P10: wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwwwwwwwww wwwwww see P9 wwwwwww wwwwwwwwww wwwwwwwww
- P11: At first you guess it's Imamura because the stable drum, but about how they sound and how the classic instrument plays, including piano, you probably lean more into Ishikawa
- P12: Soken. The voice filter gives it away. Chord progression reminds of Pulse "Equilibrium"
MSQ: - Dungeon: Ishikawa/Yasaki. Explanation: calm composition with acoustic guitar. Bass guitar is present
- Trial: Ishikawa. It's a safe bet for classic instruments in orchestra environment, unless Suzuki is hired again. PS: if this doesn't happen, this will be the first time Suzuki is not involved since ARR
- Zero's theme (6.2): Soken/Ishikawa/Yasaki. This is hard because it's purely piano unless Keiko is hired again.
- Red moon theme: Yasaki. This one is pure speculation though

Voice Log Entry number: 81-3, Timestamp: 02-15 (estimated (guesstimated)(aintgotacluestimated))
Bit into the -second- year here. Yeah. Still getting used to that. Think I am going to just start counting days as they pass here rather than doing the mental gymnastics needed to convert fifty hour days and two-hundred day seasons into Earth days and years. A 'season' here being about four-hundred and sixteen days long. Give or take a few days. Considering everything else on this world is artificial - I have a feeling the variance in the season timing is intentional and probably oscillates. Not enough pattern data yet to know for sure.
Still no handle on why time feels... compressed here? I have settled into a sleep schedule of about sixteen of the twenty-five hour night - and it feels like a restful eight hours. The dragon folk tend to sleep twenty hours. I use the extra time to practice with my magic sword. My MAGIC SWORD! yeaaaaaah!
This Grand Bazaar is so fun! It is like an enormous ren-fair if ren-fairs were into greeco-roman fashions. Speaking of. Baroness Clade was all ga-ga over some new dresses from the outer ring of the gathering. These were pretty interesting as the floor length skirts billowed out. This was pulled off by weaving the whole thing from wire mesh instead of chain-mail. Or used metal struts connected to a belt to give the garment shape. Just more example of how their textiles diverged from ours due to the radically different materials on hand. No mammals, no wool, a ridiculous abundance of metals. Oh yeah. And freaking magic.
I have to keep reminding myself that this is all on an enormous scale. It takes me about three hours to walk the outer ring. (oh-so much longer because we are window-shopping...) My walk speed is forty-eight kph. So yeah. Its big. And this thing lasts a ten-day. Though the tenth day is when alot of folk start packing up. Some far earlier if they sold out their wares quicker.
Found out what the wigs are made from. Dragon hair. Found a stall selling wigs and turns out dragons with nice hair use a hair growth spell to grow it out and harvest it regularly. Can not do it frequently. Something about needing time to replenish. But it is a business here for dragons who like other hair colors.
If you are willing to hang around a few days there are crafters and brewers who can whip up during the event some basic magic items. Mostly little widgets that do not do a whole lot. Or quick-craft stuff like arrows with basic targeting enhancement enchantments. Potions can be gotten in a day. I nabbed a few "Healing Potions" because they should work on my nominally organic parts. Least that was what I expected. Guess what? That's right. I'm WRONG! Kinda-sorta... Its Complex!!!
We swung around the Druid section of the magic ring at Ghinda's request and got the lowdown on the problems of fixing me up as it had apparently unbeknownst to me, been prying on her mind ever since we met. She would prod me now and then at the keep to do some 'tests', but never said what for?
This for...
She had been talking at length with one of the higher ups in the rankings of nature lovers. This guy looked ancient! Yet strong at the same time. My chest and veins felt a little tingly near him. Guessing that was the more plant based parts of me responding? In any case he was blood red and had these curly corkscrew horns like a ram. Rings everywhere! Fingers, horns, tail. Don't wanna know where else! And holding this staff that was like twenty meters tall! Wood. Like a whole tree. Topped with a turquoise orb and an, ahem, orbiting ring of, er, rings with different elements in the rings where a finger would go. Standard Earth, Air, Fire, Water. But between those were Magma, Smoke, Ice (how'd he get that even???), and Mud. Really impressive looking. The length of the staff was carved with arcane runes and banded in gold. Guy really liked his ring motif huh?
So first glance at me is that dismissive "Fuck off technology." attitude and I'm like "ooooh Imma gonna -show- him somethin!"
But then he does a double-take and starts to look at me funny. Like he is looking -through- me, inside me?
Then he starts to get excited.
Then really excited.
Then -oh fuck! What did I do this time?- excited.
Turns out he could clearly sense all the plant-life inside me comprising my life support systems. A fifteen meter tall enclosed micro-ecology. He was just ooohing and ahhing at the near perfect balance of my internal workins. And so an hour or more passed while I tried to explain in fantasy terms the incredible effort that went into the CyberDyne project and the botanist who made the breakthrough in sealed life support systems. They read it all as a neo-Druid creating a self sustaining eco-system. Something Druids of this world consider a work of art or a religious experience in a way. Due to how the whole world is in a way just that. Self contained and perpetual.
He was really interested in the mini forest that makes up my lungs. Probably because they are not of this world and at a guess are pinging his nature sense. He asked me if he could get a clipping. And I said "Not on the first date."
He got all purple in the face and then laughed and laughed.
So he confirmed that basic healing incantations like [Balm of Life] will kinda-sorta work on me. But due to my, ahem, Golem nature and my botanic parts, I'd get more oomph from a simple [Repair] incantation for my cybernetics and [Botanica's Blessing] for my plant based systems. A healing potion was going to do me little good then - and would be only a -third- as effective. argh! ah well. I can use it in the others in an emergency. Stuff makes triage look like leeches and poultices. hmph. Magic.
From all this I did though get some advice. Mainly to look up a Master of Alchemy to whip up some specialized healing draughts. Cost a bit more. But better than needing the magic equivalent of a Pit Crew to heal me up. Not like I intend to get perforated again. But with these Coalition jokers out there. I have a bad feeling I am going to be in the eye of the storm. Least they pointed me at someone here to talk to about that.
Noon will be dinner with the local nobility. The Baroness suggested I dress well so I guess I will be stowing the Regalia and going formal. Good thing packed the clothes for this. Kinda nervous. Aside from meeting the mayor of Dynamiton City, I have never really had to deal with the higher ups.
Forescout Valkyria signing out.
=----=====----=
Valkyria, with much assistance from Roscida, disengaged her Regalia and a few plates to slim down to a less aggressive profile. Then her ward helped her to get dressed and don her wig. Together they met up with Dasos and she resupplied more goggles to sell and for the morning the Gorgon swapped out with the Ki-rin girl so Dasos could do a little shopping herself.
Wandering the stalls and merchants she was updated on the sales of the goodies and stoning potions. "huh, more sold than I expected?"
Dasos nodded while munching on a glazed tyra leg as she walked beside the War Witch. "The Grand Bazaar is an opportune time to sell and spread word. And word is spreading."
She glanced sidelong at the Gorgon. "Feels good to be making a difference?"
This got an emphatic nodding. "Very much so. The look on peoples faces. Especially the expressions when learning the low cost. After thousands upon thousands of days we are not shunned and driven off."
"In time the cure will be found and you all can go back to living normal lives."
Dasos was keen to buy a new dress for herself after a lifetime of living in rags and whatever they could scrounge or steal. Well the metal equivalent of rags. Dragon clothing was very durable overall.
-<>-
As noon rolled around they saw the Gorgon back to her stall and Roscida joined Valkyria in meeting Baroness Clade at the castle gates. The structure was tremendous and some of the taller minarets reached high into the sky perhaps a quarter of a kilometer. The gate guards were armored and looked alot like silver versions of Valkyria. Though without the stiff wing covers. Each was armed with a huge halberd, a pole arm some twenty meters long with a spike pointing upwards, an axe head facing forward and a hook facing back.
Baroness Clade did the introductions and then they were escorted inside by an attendant and Valkyria got to gawk at the decorations, all on a cyclopean scale. Fifteen meter tall statuary adorned some halls. tapestries and stained glass windows were common and there were quite a few paintings. The elder Clade encouraged the guide to elaborate on some of the depictions.
"Here is show the mounted battle of the Phantom Swamps some two-hundred thousand days past."
The white and gold cyborg ran a quick calculation and figured that to be over a thousand years ago by Earth time. "So you even domesticated a thunder lizard?" She was looking at the huge diplodocus that was being ridden like an elephant and was about as large.
"The diplo in the center? Yes. They are native to the great swamps of the lowlands. A few daring souls have trained them for war. But they are difficult to manage. Bron are even harder to tame and for reasons unknown once every few seasons a bull will ascend the plateaus and go on a rampage until either driven off or put down." So explained the attendant.
Valkyria studied this for a time, taking into account the gigantic scale of this battle depicted. Spells were flying, knights with glowing weapons were cleaving into each-other, and a pair of trebuchets mounted on the diplodocus were lobbing stones at some sort wall of earth some mage had called up. The painting had tiny little details in it down to links in armor and little fine inscriptions on weapons and standards. "Who are they fighting? Looks formidable? Are those a pair of Golems? I see hinged joints?" she questioned.
"Indeed m'lady. Ta Matia tis Mageías, The Eyes of Vraja, were a mageocrocy that formed formed around a renowned vraja college of Solomonari to the west between here and the Ki-rin lands. They grew in power and then began expanding. They employed Golems and Elementals in large numbers and were a force to be reckoned with. The painting depicts the final battle on the borders of what would become the Principalities." pointed out the attendant.
"So what became of them?"
Baroness Clade answered that. "Everyone turning against them and internal fraction caused the eventual collapse as they suffered a series of defeats after some initial victories. A faction within the Eye was against violence and secretly aided the unified people opposing the expansion and so inside and out the cracks formed. Finally they could take no more and sued for peace when they realized the horrible loss of knowledge that was happening as one after another fell. They reorganized and police themselves rigorously now as a true college of study and wisdom. That was all some half a million days ago."
The War Witch gawked as she did some calculations. Over two-thousand eight-hundred Earth years ago. "And it is still going today?"
A nod from the elder dragoness. "Indeed. I myself studied there for six-thousand days and graduated well in my class."
Valkyria did not comment on needing to go to magic school for thirty-five years before getting out was a bit mind blowing. "Seems all that study payed off!"
"Twas not that long. Curricula has advanced since those early days. Back then one was expected to study for a full ten-thousand says!" the Solomanari waved it off as if decades meant little in the greater scheme.
This got the cybernetic human in a draconic looking variable frame to wondering just how long these people lived. Something she would have to ask later. She had some clues already based on the ages of Roscida and the younger Clade, which reminded her. "So will Clade and the Baron be arriving in two days?"
"Correct. My husband and daughter wish to do some shopping while the event is close."
After that they met up with Princess Lykofos. This woman was tall and a rich royal purple with blue scale trim. She was dressed in an ebony gown set with hundreds of diamonds so it looked like a starry night twinkling as she moved. Her long hair was a night blue with a streak of lighter blue like a comet trailing down one side. "Ahh. So this is the mysterious stranger I have heard so much about in so short a span?" she addressed the War Witch with a pleasant rumbly voice.
"That is probably me if it is something weird yea, M'lady." she replied.
The Princess' smile grew. "I would not call selflessly aiding the people of the land weird Lady Valkyria. You have performed a deed long thought impossible in bringing back to us our brethren thought forever lost. That alone is worthy of high praise. I also hear you were instrumental in completing my cousin's elemental collection, yes?"
Valkyria looked from one to the other questioningly. "Cousin? So you two are related?"
Baroness and Princess shared a laugh. "Oh indeed. Though Procidens here takes more after her seaside blood while I take more after our inland kin." she then walked along with the group and plied the cybernetic visitor with questions. "I observed you on the streets yesterday. But you were much bulkier and not dressed?"
"Yes. I removed my Regalia as it is cumbersome for formal affairs."
That got a smile from the Princess. "We have lost a few chairs to knights insisting on attending in full dress armor. So your mercy upon my furniture is appreciated!" Glancing at the figure of the strange being she asked. "I understand that you are lost and far from home, with no hope of ever returning. Let me assure you on behalf of the Principalities of the Comet as a Princess of my realm that you are more than welcome in our lands. I wish only that you might have seen us in less troubling times..."
"I would like to think the same if one of you ever ended up in my world. And sadly I am no stranger to troubling times back home. It is how I became as you see me now." So replied the War Witch in thanks to her gracious benefactors. Then she was treated to a lavish dinner and various deserts afterwards. The main course were various soups, some meat stock and some vegetable, all with tyra egg mixed in like a sort of egg-drop soup. Then there were roast uta in some sort of glaze and seasoning with no Earth equivalent. It was faintly sweet. A rarity for dragon cuisine she had learned over the course of her stay. Sugar producing plants were rare in the qualities needed to make it even remotely viable. So she guessed what she was tasting was probably honey.
This got her musing as to what sorts of bugs were in the environment. But she had thus far held off on that question. She certainly had not seen any other than a little flitting thing she guessed was a dragonfly the size of an Earth eagle. A speck at her scale; and butterflies, or the prehistoric equivalents of, with bright single colors in stripes rather than patterns. The wing edges were flat rather than rounded.
As usual she got some amusement from the reactions to her eating. "So how bad has the Coalition been in the last season? I hear the realms bordering on the Coalition have had a few incursions. But nothing big since that ambush on Clade?"
Princess Lykofos nodded contemplatively. "Not officially no. But there have been two attacks deeper into the Principalities that were not made public."
"To keep the enemy guessing what happened to the squads?"
"Correct. Your case was impossible to keep quiet on. That and it was agreed that the nature of your advent would perplex and confound the Coalition well and good. The various Princes and Princesses have been quietly deflecting inquiries about you ever since. And keeping abreast of who is asking these questions. We have designated you a War Witch, though it is rather obvious your nature and incantations function outside the norm. Obvious to those of us with a broader knowledge of the mystic arts."
Valkyria nodded between tossing trees dipped in some manner of broccoli-esque sauce into her maw and munching. "Figured that would be the case really. Trying to mesh what I can do with what you people can had been a challenge to put it mildly." she admitted.
"We appreciate the effort on out behalf. Were I pressed to classify you, based on the information thus far gathered, I would probably lean to that of the Fusillade. An as yet rare outgrowth of Artifice focused on long range strikes. Alchemists are another calling that is much better known due to it's utility." so described the Princess.
"I will stick to War Witch for now to keep the enemy guessing" so smiled slyly said War Witch while taking a bite from a uta drumstick. After that she tried some pie which was remotely similar in flavor to a lemon meringue pie. Made from a thick rinded fruit called a citron. They were about the size of grapes to her and looked like yellow fragment grenades. The actual usable part was the size of a pea inside. "Somewhere on Earth an agriculturist is having fits over the quantities needed to eat round here." she chuckled. Apparently the rinds were fed to styra as they loved it.
After dinner the party retreated to sealed chambers with guards posted round. The Princess sat down in a comfy looking chair and her demeanor got notably more serious. "Now for the more pressing matter we invited you to visit today. There has been a death at the Grand Bazaar."
Baroness Clade looked concerned. "Another?"
Princess Lykofos nodded solemnly. "Another inventor of enchanted items."
This seemed to be an ongoing thing so the white and gold dragoness asked. "I take it that this is one of several? How many?"
"Six thus far. All crafters working on some new wonder. All found dead of what appear to be natural causes. But their inventions missing and soon to show up in Coalition hands. This can not be coincidence. We have tried communing with the spirits of the dead. But to date none have ever seen their slayer and thusly can not place name to this mysterious spy in our midst. We would like to ask if you can assist us in any way with this mystery. Perhaps someone outside the problem can uncover a clue we are missing?" The Princess then laid out the six assumed murders so far.
"The first was several seasons ago. About one-thousand days. An inventor working on a repeating ballistia was found dead in his home and the prototype missing. less than a season later the Coalition is being armed with a new repeating ballistia. The shape is different. But the function and timing are suspect." she sighed and then continued. "Next was a craftsman who was working to produce a more refined healing draught. Found dead and the formula gone. We suspect the Coalition is now issuing it to their soldiers. Third was a friend of mine that I had patroned for years. She was working on a new armor enchantment for the Lightning Knights. Found hanged in her bedroom. Apparent suicide. I -know- better. Tellingly. We questioned her spirit and she remembered nothing of that and was as perplexed as we were. This invention has not yet surfaced in the Coalition to our knowledge. The next three have each coincided with a Grand Bazaar and yesterday we found another crafter dead. No vraja residue and incantations to detect poisons showed nothing. His creation is missing."
"Is the body still on hand?" asked the War Witch.
"Yes. Though we checked thoroughly." replied the Princess. "Also the Ruling Prince sent us an investigator who has been following the case since the second occurrence. He is here now. We wished to speak to you alone before bringing them in."
"If vraja showed no traces then we have to think outside the box. And working with a professional would be a boon I bet. They know vraja?"
The purple and blue dragoness bowed her head and so they retreated to the castles equivalent of a morgue. "Yes they are a practitioner of the arts. "We checked for signs of covert violence. Assassination is rare, but not unheard uf in some less reputable kingdoms."
Here she was introduced to a male red dragon with black scale trim. He looked curiously at Valkyria as she looked over the body laid out on a stone slab pending last rites or other arrangements. "M'lady. I was not expecting you to come down so late." he deferred to the Princess.
Valkyria took some samples and ran some basic tests with her onboard analysis systems. These were not medical grade. But she took some readings anyhow just in case something showed up. "No foreign elements in the blood. But there is an elevated carbon trade in the lungs. hmmmmm." She redid her tests and focused them as an idea began to percolate to the fore. "Has anyone tried contacting the spirit since you have that option?"
"Not yet. It is a taxing incantation and requires five special candles to perform. We have some in stock but supply is limited and the dead tend not to answer exactly coherently. And you can not use the incantation on a spirit again till many days have passed." so explained the red dragon.
"Got it. Makes sense then. Lets see. Here's the results on the test and... ah-hah. Well I can save you some candles."
"Oh?" Both the Princess and the Baroness asked as one.
"Exotic tallow fume traces in the lungs. Someone used that communicate with the dead incantation ahead of you. Maybe to prevent you from finding out something? Or just waste limited resources?" explained the mechanical visitor.
The investigator nodded thoughtfully. "Though that does not explain the lack of clues as to cause of death?"
"Right. But we know from this that the spy is versed in the arts and is using it to cover their tracks. huh. Question. Would an incantation to cure poison work on a corpse? And would it leave any traces of vraja?" she asked thoughtfully.
"A [Counter Poison] incantation would leave faint traces of vraja in the system."
"Ok. Are there any incantations that mask vraja presence?" she followed up.
This surprised the gathered practitioners of the art. "Why no? How would that even work? To use vraja to conceal vraja. That would leave traces itself."
"Would it though?" mused the cyborg. Then she waved it off. "Just a thought. Was there any vraja trace found on the one that hung herself?"
"Why... no there was not?" and a dawning horror of realization shone in the Princess' eyes. "You mean..."
The War Witch looked down at the cadaver and then to those gathered.
"Yeah. Your spy is an inventor too."

2023.05.29 15:36 Kingiiiii Players that change everything
Hello guys today I wanted to share my 2 cents on the players that I feel change the most and which one should buy if they have the coins because of their insane impact. Maybe you can share your opinions and players below.
Mbappe Probably the most obvious one because he is the fastest/glitchiest player with the best shooting I thing he is the one player most people have in common atleast in higher divisions.
Vieira By far the best CDM and his prime is only 850000 at this point he defends everything and is insanely hard to pass.
Saka TOTS For me he has been better than every Al Owairan version and he has incredible passin, pace and even shooting.

2023.05.29 15:35 f00dl3 No Nino'
Happy Memorial Day!
This morning the models have taken a shift back to having the 7-10 day outlook pretty dry, with the European model showing less than 0.25" of rainfall over the 2 week period. This is stark contrast to yesterday and the past few days where models were showing a wetter start to June, many attributing to El Nino conditions. Guess our pattern wins over a pattern half way across the globe :(
GFS is still pretty aggressive but the GFS model has done this from time to time, holding on to an idea past it's prime. So who knows. But right now I would lean to it continuing to be dry until at least mid-July.
There will be a chance of pop-ups today and tomorrow, so make sure you have Ad Block installed if you plan on having any outdoor activities. Seriously though, the best chance of pop-ups is on Tuesday evening, I think everything should stay mostly west of the metro area today - Topeka & west.
Not much else in weather happening here. Fires in Nova Scotia are apparently getting bad. But that's way up in Canada.

2023.05.29 15:30 xtremexavier15 TSWT 21 (pt 2)
As the episode resumed to the heat of midday, the camera panned down from the sun and on to Topher and Ezekiel as they stalked through the savanna.
Topher stopped both of them suddenly. "Check this out," The camera features human footprints on the ground. "Those are human footprints."
"I can even see some drool," Ezekiel pointed out the specks of drool.
"That must mean Ezekiel Clone," Topher deduced, and they continued moving forward and holding out their slingshots.
"Remember, we keep calm," Ezekiel told Topher after they stopped, their bodies starting to descend.
"Right. All we have to do is set up a trap that'll lure him in," Topher claimed.
"That's a good idea, amigo," Ezekiel agreed before looking down. "What the? Uh-oh."
The scene zoomed out to show the duo sinking in quicksand. "Quicksand?" Topher realized.
"Help!" they cried out.
\
"How are we supposed to find that alien?" Owen asked the girls as they stalked through the savanna with their slingshots ready. He turned around and backed into a bush, only to hit something almost immediately. He slowly turned around to look, and his eyes went wide and the camera zoomed out as he realized he'd just bumped into a rhino's butt.
The camera panned to the animal's head as it looked backwards and snorted, and the focus returned to Owen as he screamed and took off, knocking Eva and Izzy out of the way. The rhino's viewpoint was shown, and in its eyes, Owen zipped through the savanna Road Runner style.
Izzy and Eva got up from the collision. "I am so going to kill Owen for that!" Eva declared.
"Save it for when we find him," Izzy said before they ran to locate Owen.
Meanwhile, Owen was screaming his lungs out and running until he bumped into someone and fell down. He groaned while opening his eyes, and when he saw that it was Mal he crashed into, he yelped and got up.
"What is the matter with you!?" Mal scowled in Owen's direction.
"A rhino chased me away," Owen stammered. "What about you?"
"Same thing, but with a lion instead of a rhino!" Mal growled.
"I didn't mean to run into you," Owen apologized.
"And I didn't mean to do this!" Mal took hold of Owen and hurled him up into a nearby tree. Owen hit his head on a branch, and he held onto it for safety.
"That was on purpose!" Owen confronted him, but screamed for his life.
"Maybe that'll teach you a lesson for nearly killing me, tubby!" Mal mocked him.
\
The footage returned to Ezekiel and Topher stuck in quicksand still, Ezekiel holding out a stick.
"I don't want to die in quicksand," Topher moped. "I prefer a quick death."
"Be quiet and look!" Ezekiel hushed the junior Chris when he heard the bushes rustle and Ezekiel Clone hopped out.
"Ezekiel Two. Over here," Ezekiel waved the stick in front of his clone's face, to which he snarled and bit on.
"You've got it," Ezekiel said when the feral clone dragged him and Topher out of the sand, Topher holding on to Ezekiel. "We're nearly out."
The boys were soon out of the quicksand. An antelope was heard off-screen, and as it ran past, Ezekiel Clone growled and went off to chase the animal.
"Shoot him, Ezekiel! Now!" Topher ordered. Ezekiel stood up and readied his slingshot. He shot the ball, but rather than hit the clone, it hit the intern holding a camera and knocked him to sleep, much to their disappointment.
\
The scene returned to Mal and Owen. Owen was still hanging on to the branch, but Mal was lying by the tree and whistling 'In the Hall of the Mountain King.'
Izzy and Eva arrived at last, and noticed Owen's plight. "What did you do to Owen, Mal?" Izzy squinted her eyes at Mal.
"I just gave him a little boost up that tree," Mal admitted.
"He did this to me because I ran into him by accident," Owen said.
"You are really petty," Eva told the troublemaker as Izzy stood next to the tree. Izzy kicked the tree hard, and it made Owen let go of the branch, but Eva was able to catch him in her arms.
"Call me whatever you want, but I just found some alien tracks," Mal smiled at the footprints on the ground and followed them. "Enjoy being put up for elimination!"
"Not if we beat you to it. Follow him!" Izzy commanded Owen and Eva, who obeyed willingly.
\
Back with Ezekiel and Topher, they were following the footprints until they heard the bushes rustle.
"Did you hear that?" Ezekiel asked and the bushes rustled harder.
"It must be your clone," Topher guessed and they pulled the slingshots. "Ready your tranq balls. On three. One, two, three!"
They ran screaming, and the shot cut to the bushes to reveal Mal, Eva, Izzy, and Owen coming out screaming and holding their slingshots. Topher and Ezekiel shot their balls, and the other four did the same.
One by one, the six were shown getting hit in separate shots. Owen, Mal, Topher, Ezekiel, Eva, and Izzy. A big cloud overtook the scene and vaporized to show the contestants out cold with their goggles lying on the floor.
The music note icon promptly appeared in the top-left corner of the screen, accompanied by its usual ding.
"Iiiiiit's song time!" Chris announced from off-screen, the camera panning right to show him and Chef in a jeep a couple yards away. "Hello?"
The camera was suddenly filled with darkness. "Hey!" Chris shouted as an eye opened to show Chris looking down. "Anyone in there?" The scene showed that Chris was prying Mal's eye open. "What do you prefer? Dynamite or TNT?"
"Dynamite!" Mal answered the question partly awakened.
Chris focused on the contestants lying on the ground. "Half an hour of you guys sleeping?! Oh yeah, that's gonna be great for ratings," he said cynically. "I want a song, pronto! No matter where the tranq balls hit you and how "groggy" you might be. You will be eliminated if you do not sing at least once! Now sing!"
///\
[The African drumbeat that played from earlier started the song as Chris left and the camera panned down to Mal.]
"What a sickening day on the Serengeti! I just feel like kicking a pup!"
[Mal started the first line.]
"I'll find that clone and win this game! As soon as my leg wakes up!"
[As he sang, the camera focused on his legs not waking up and laying still.]
"You ditched us and went alone! You failed, and I find that pathetic!"
[Topher sang, his face against the ground.]
"We teamed up and almost had the clone! I wish we were a bit more athletic!"
[Ezekiel sang next while on his arms, adding "Really, we were that close!".]
"Almost, doesn't count to me! You didn't catch him, that's all!"
[Eva raised her head up and sang their way, turning her head to see Izzy crawl up to her.]
"To be fair, we didn't fare well! But at least we have our balls!
[Izzy sang next. "Tranq balls, I mean," she added.]
Owen stood on his feet, wobbling his body back and forth. "I should sing or I'll get kicked out. There's something I wanna say. Rhinos…and…lions…are really scary. My body…just…feels…like…resting!" He went back to sleep once more.
[Mal was focused on again, and he was attempting to get up.]
"What a sickening day on the Serengeti! I just feel like kicking a pup!"
[Mal stood on his two feet and noticed them bending over.]
"I'll find that clone and win this game! As soon as my leg wakes up!"
[His knees collapsed to the floor and made him bend.]
"My head!"
[Eva was holding her head with one hand.]
"My hand!"
[Ezekiel rubbed his hands together.]
"My arm!"
[Izzy flexed her arms to see if they're stable.]
"My face!"
[Topher mumbled groggily.]
"Wake uuuuuuuuuuuuuupppp!"
[Eva and Izzy sang together.]
"Wake uuuuuuuuuuuuuupppp!"
[Ezekiel and Topher sang the last line of the song together.]
///
The shot immediately cut over to Chris and Chef. "Somebody better catch the clone fast 'cause the plane is taking off in exactly one hour, with or without you," he told the contestants, five of them standing still while Owen rested still.
Chris pinched his nose, then turned to Chef. "Man, you are ripe! But, you wanna watch the tranq ball massacre on the widescreen?" he asked.
Chef pressed down on the gas pedal and sped off, but as Chris had been standing he quickly fell off the jeep.
"Hey!" Chris called out. "Get back here! AND STAY AWAY FROM MY HOT TUB!" he yelled as he ran off after his assistant.
Eva heard the sound of snoring, and it prompted her to make her way towards Owen and kick his side, jolting him awake.
"I didn't eat the strawberry cupcakes at the bake sale!" Owen shouted. "Oh, hi Eva."
"I'm giving you one more chance," Eva warned Owen. "If you ditch me and Izzy again, you're on your own from then on!"
"I won't do it again. I swear!" Owen pledged.
"You two were right about me going alone," Mal said and strolled towards Topher and Ezekiel. "I'll work with you now."
"Now you're reconsidering your plan," Ezekiel snorted. "And what makes you think I'd assist you after you tricked Sadie and got her eliminated?"
"That girl was expandable, and I didn't want to deal with any couples left in the game," Mal explained.
"Even if they're weak-looking and easy to beat in a contest?" Topher asked.
"I'd rather take on a powerhouse than an oblivious fool anyday, anytime," Mal said proudly.
"Temporarily. We'll work together temporarily for this portion of the challenge," Topher sighed.
"That's all I need. Now here's what we're going to do," Mal got the prairie boy and the junior Chris in a huddle and whispered their plan.
Confessional: Mal
"As you saw earlier, I encountered a lion while I was by myself earlier. Having allies by your side is necessary at a time like this," Mal claimed. "Allies that are easy to shove in front of a dangerous animal and let them be devoured while I protect my life!"
Confessional Ends
The scene flashed forward yet again, this time showing Eva, Izzy, and Owen as they walked through the plains.
"I'll forgive you for leaving us behind this fast because I love you," Izzy said to Owen. "Next time won't be so easy."
"I already talked to him about that!" Eva reassured her. "You can lay off, Izzy."
"I just wanted to let him know, Eva," Izzy replied.
Owen sighed. "I'm sorry for being so cowardly. I'm too young to die, sure, but I can't ignore lives as well, especially if they're my friends." A rustling was heard just before he tripped and fell down with a cry of "Whoa!"
The camera pulled back to show Owen had fallen in a bush that was littered with red berries, with red stains all over him. "P.U. These berries are as smelly as my underwear during laundry day," he winced.
"It seems like you fell in a patch of Serengeti blood berries," Izzy told him. "They are a sight to see, but their juice smells just like fresh blood.
"I said sorry for leaving you with that rhino," Owen wailed.
"I didn't push you into that bush. You tripped and fell yourself," Eva said.
"Now I have to go wash off these blood berries," Owen moaned as he stood up.
\
The scene moved to Owen at the edge of a pond, covered in red stains. "I'd rather be covered in strawberry jam than this," he complained as he peered into the water. A rustling was heard nearby.
He paused for a moment, and looked around. "What was that?" he asked before Ezekiel Clone showed up and sniffed the air.
He perked up and the camera cut briefly to the still berry-covered Owen washing up then back to him. The clone took the opportunity and launched himself at the fun guy.
The shot cut to Mal, Topher, and Ezekiel as they arrived on the scene. "This is simply entertaining," Mal said happily over the sounds of a violent and one-sided scuffle between Owen and Ezekiel Clone.
"I'm going to shoot if you two are just going to stand there like statues," Ezekiel said impatiently.
"Someone help me!" Owen yelled.
"Help is on the way! Eva shouted as she and Izzy arrived in time. The three boys got distracted by their arrival, and Eva wasted no time taking out her slingshot and tranquilizer ball.
A close-up was shown of Eva's slingshot as the tranq ball was loaded and drawn back, and the shot moved to show Owen trying his best to keep Ezekiel Clone from punching his face.
The shot came, and immediately knocked Owen and Ezekiel Clone into a deep sleep.
"We did it! We stopped that alien!" Izzy shouted to her friend.
"Technically, I was the one who put that thing to sleep, but sure, you can leech off my success," Eva said.
Chris and Chef returned in the jeep. "Congrats, Eva. You are on your way to first class!" Chris announced.
"I would've shot that clone if I didn't lose my balls on the way here," Topher claimed.
"Whatever you say!" Chris said with a smile. "Now quick. Grab Owen and let's get the heck out of Africa before that thing wakes up!"
\
The footage skipped ahead one more time to the Total Drama Jumbo Jet as it took off from the Serengeti plains. The camera zoomed in to the top of the fuselage between the wings, Ezekiel Clone pulling himself up before prying off a panel and crawling in through the opening.
Confessional: Mal
"Looks like it's time for me to pack my bags today since I'm the one going home," Mal glumly said, but quickly smiled in satisfaction. "Or it would be if I hadn't suddenly found a loophole through all this."
Confessional Ends
A flash took the scene to the elimination chamber, where Chris was standing in the middle of the room with all six contestants. "Mmm, tension-y!" he taunted, holding out the stack of passports.
"Alrighty then, one vote for Owen. And, the lucky loser with five votes is...," Chris finally said, reading the last passport with a devilish smirk as he paused for further effect.
"Mal."
"Serves you right!" Eva smirked.
"See you never, Mal!" Izzy taunted him.
"So this is where my journey ends…" Mal scowled at the pleased faces of the contestants.
"I'd agree with that, but I have to say otherwise this time around, 'cause Mal is not the one going home tonight!" Chris announced.
"Are you kidding me?" Ezekiel yelled. "He got the most votes out of all of us!"
"That is true," Chris explained, "but I remember telling all of you to sing earlier. You did, but it seems one person broke that rule. And I specifically said that you'll be eliminated if you don't sing, so Owen, here's your parachute!"
The teens, except for Mal, gasped as Owen was given his parachute.
"You're implementing this rule now of all times?" Topher protested. "Some of us don't even sing the songs in every episode."
"True, but this time, I was placing the rule on everybody, not just a select few," Chris said.
"It is what it is," Owen sighed.
"Don't be so down. You're better than this," Izzy told him. "And you're not getting evacuated this time.
"That does make me feel a bit better," Owen smiled again. "And thankfully, Mal has been exposed to the public."
"Just one more thing before you go!" Izzy jumped into Owen's arms and they began to kiss each other.
"Ugh. This is what I wanted to avoid," Mal reacted with disgust.
Owen and Izzy finished their kiss and Izzy got off of Owen. "If you didn't know it yet, we're now boyfriend and girlfriend," Izzy reminded the funniest guy around.
"I'll miss you, but just know I'll be watching you make the finale," Owen said to Izzy and made his jump…only to get stuck in the exit. "Could somebody push me out please?"
The camera cut to the outside of the plane, and Owen could be seen falling out of the open door.
"I'm gonna miss that guy," Chris said idly as the shot cut back inside to show the host staring out of the door. "Now, Eva," the host asked as he turned back around. "Who you bringing to the big leagues?"
"It's a decision I'll regret," Eva said while Izzy smiled expectantly next to her. "But I'll have to choose... Topher."
"WHAT?!" Topher and the others reacted.
Confessional: Eva
"Izzy's my companion, but I couldn't let her be in first class for the third time in a row or her head would be overinflated with arrogance. If I bring Topher over, he could give me tips on how to stop Mal for good," Eva clarified.
Confessional: Mal
"They might miss the big boy, but getting rid of Owen for the second time was like scraping gum off my shoe," Matthew smirked. "A bit sticky, but oh so satisfying. I'll have Chris's rule to thank for that."
Without warning, the confessional door swung open and Chris leaned in. "Things are getting cra-zy!" he told the camera with an excited grin, the series' capstone theme playing in the background. "Thirteen down and only five remain," he continued as Mal scowled. "Who will almost die next? Find out right here, on Total! Drama! World Tour!"
He lingered in the confessional as the music ended, and finally noticed Mal. "Whaaaat?"
(Roll the Credits)
\
(Bonus Clip)
The clip opened up to a shot of Owen parachuting down. "I wanted to sing, but I was too tired to do so. It wasn't my fault."
"Like my other elimination, I was eliminated irregularly instead of just getting the most votes. I think that's lame," he admitted sadly. "On the bright side, I get to keep my brain and me and Izzy are sitting in a tree!" Owen sang. "K.I.S.S.-"
He trailed off while drifting down, eventually landing in the quicksand...right next to a lion. They were both sinking, but it didn't erase the fear in Owen's face and the viciousness in the lion's.
"S.O.S.! S.O.S.!" he told the camera as his parachute covered him completely. The lion roared heavily, and Owen started to scream for his life.

When: Be prepared to embrace the sun in early June. Exact date will be determined based on the weather forecast, ensuring a perfect sunny day for our creative endeavour. How much: Just 15 Euros per person, a price that includes all necessary equipment. More than just an engaging experience, you'll wrap up the session with a stunning print to take home – a beautiful artifact of your newfound cyanotype skills! Who? We require a minimum of 5 radiant souls to get started. To ensure personal attention and a more intimate learning environment, we recommend a maximum limit of 12 participants. How to Join: Simply send me a DM here on Reddit, or shoot a WhatsApp message to +49 174 8284 758, and we'll take it from there. About me: Greetings, I'm Salam! As a visual artist and designer, I've enjoyed a flourishing career since graduating from the Lebanese University in Beirut with a degree in Visual Communication. Currently, I'm putting the finishing touches on my Master's in Design and Computation at the UdK Berlin. I can't wait to share my passion and knowledge with you! We're anticipating an exciting exploration of cyanotype artistry and cannot wait to see the fantastic prints you'll create. Secure your spot in our creative community today and join us in celebrating the fusion of art and nature! submitted by Salam_Shokor to berlinsocialclub [link] [comments] |
