They still believe that Matthew Applewhite is the incarnation of Yeshua Christ, who took one group of people to heaven back then and is now back on earth to prepare to take a second group of people to heaven. And the second group of people in these people's mouths are the believers absorbed in the dark net. With the current situation that the official website of Heaven's Gate receives about 200 to 300 letters per day. At that time, if another mass suicide case does occur, the number of deaths will far exceed several times that of 1997.

So I just got a new Cloud Orbit S headset sent to me by HyperX because my previous Orbit S is completely cracked and falling apart. They still work fine with my PS5, though. My boyfriend and I have been happily together for 2 years now. He has a best friend that has said to me on three different occasions that my boyfriend is “not a real man”. So my girlfriend broke up with me in late Jan. We were together for a little over 3 years. She had moved in with me on Nov. 2022. It seems so abrupt. 3 weeks later, she breaks up with me again because she was tired of trying. She said she didn't want to make things work anymore. She also said that she wanted to figure herself out because I didn't let her do what she wanted to do. I never told her she couldn't do anything she wanted. I asked her if I was doing something, whether she wanted to join and she never object. But whenever she had some free time, she would sleep because she was tired from her work week.
Now I'm fairly certian she is with the guy she cheated on me.

Hey y'all, I have an Acer E5-575 laptop, and I recently did a bit of an update to it; a new hard drive, new RAM, and a new battery because the last one was operating at about a 65% capacity. The hard drive and RAM were easy to put in and work well. The battery, however, is another story. I was able to swap it easily, but it is not charging. When I unplug the power cord it immediately turns off. The new battery will not go above 1%.
I was wondering if the new battery was defective so I swapped the old one back in. Same issue, only the battery is stuck at 27%. Did I mess something up on the board putting the new battery in? Did I not calibrate it correctly or something? How can I check? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I've tried Acer Care Center's battery health feature, the battery is recognized by the computer and shows up in the battery report, and I've done pretty much all the recommended procedures to try to reset/fix the issue. Starting to get pretty worried, I need this laptop for school.

I’ve been having a lot of electrical gremlins with my 2011 e82 that I’ve been slowly fixing one by one, but there’s a few that I can’t find a fix to or have a idea what it is. Please note that I’m fairly new to bmw ᵕ̈
So when I turn on the car I can hear all the fuses in the glove box clicking, then when turning off the car I would hear the same clicking and when removing the key some more clicking, then my headlamps and brake lights will start flickering and stay on (I’m able to turn them off when I turn the car on and off 1-4 times but sometimes more) I just installed a new FRM so I know that’s not the problem. As well when trying to start my car at times it will crank a little before starting. Through my Carly scanner everything points to the CAS as well what I read online. Is there anything else I can maybe check and see before messing with such a important component as the CAS? Any tips and advice is appreciated! Thank you for reading!

My sweet boy (an all white cat named Feta) woke me up yesterday morning for his breakfast and that’s when I saw that he had somehow gotten into the box of his toys and had pulled one of those dangling toys connected to a stick by a string. I saw the stick and the toy on the floor, but the string (probably around 10-12in) was gone. I am not for certain that he ate it because I didn’t see him do it and he has a habit of hiding parts of his toys around my apartment but i’ve looked everywhere and I am assuming he did.
It’s been about 36 hours now since i suspected he ate it, and he is still acting normal, eating, pooping, playing, etc. I have been monitoring his poop to check if he passes it. I am just so so worried. When it comes to my cat, if i suspect something is wrong with him i will constantly worry/think about it until i make myself feel sick. I am not exactly sure when he would start showing symptoms if there turns out to be an obstruction of some sort, or how long it would take him to pass it if he did eat it.
I am also incredibly worried because I know if he does have an obstruction he will probably need surgery which is incredibly expensive. I am a college student so i exactly have a lot of disposable income, but the thought of not being able to help my baby when he needs it is heartbreaking :(

This takes place in Kentucky. Throwaway for obvious reasons.
I work for a very well known, retail employer in the US. I am a union member.
I was supposed to receive a bonus a few weeks ago. This was supposed to be a very large amount of money. I live paycheck to paycheck so this money was really going to help us out.
The day to get our bonuses came and everyone got one except me. I was told there was an issue with mine and it would be coming in the mail, in a week or two with a paper explaining how much I should have gotten. "OK, cool, that sucks but no problem."
A week later, I get a direct deposit for nearly three times the estimated amount I was to receive. (I don't know the exact amount after taxes I'm supposed to get as this bonus incentive is brand new and therefore, it isn't present in our union contract, but I know how much we are supposed to get before taxes.
I immediately reach out to my boss to start the paper trail and tell him I've been severely over paid. He tells me we'll look at it in a few days.
Today, we finally look at it and they have over paid me by a large amount. My boss conferenced HR with me. They don't know how much I've been overpaid as I've never received the paper stating how much I should be getting, (i only the amount I should have before taxes).
Upon further inspection, the overpayment is broken into multiple paystubs online with seemingly random dollar amounts.
The majority of the money in my account is this deposit. I was told by corporate that they're going to debit my account for the difference, amd that this happened to people in similar roles, but no one can tell me what that difference is, or tell me when they plan on debiting my account. I have never signed anything or authorized this debit and the deposit has already posted so I don't think they can do this. I've spoken with other associates that have been affected by this and we're all being told conflicting information.
I called the union and was told to try not to spend it, and they told me that my employer shouldn't be able to debit the money but they'll have to do some digging because they don't have access to my pay info.
I don't know what to do. I was already strapped for cash and thus was supposed to help, but now I have way too much money in the bank, no idea what's mine, and bills due...
I have kept a running record of conversations with dates and times. I feel like I'm telling everyone trying to make this right, but no one can provide me with any information...

I'd like to ask you what is your opinion on security when you are using your chosen protheroject management tool (Asana, Jira, Mattermost, ClickUp, Kanban, Taiga ...)? I mean, how far do you have faith in your tool for tracking your project management when you are i.e. a freelancer or somebody with a startup project? It's about security, that my data about the projects I publish in my chosen project manager is not leaked anywhere. Somewhere I read that Asana can look into all your project files. Ibeforea Asana begore but after this information I wanted to find better about regard to taking full control and security against possible theft of personal data. I was thinking about Mattermost, Taiga or Kanban board project management, but still, I can't be sure about the safety when using them.
What do you think is the best way to ensure a high security and what tool would you prefer? I read about self-hosted project magement tools (i.e. Mattermost, Kanban, Taiga, ...), but still these are the tools that were created by somebody that will probably store data about their users anyway. Are there other tools for personal project and task management which will be fully under your control? How is this usually handled?

Satan is a liar. He enters our minds with lies and uses other people to lie to us. His mission is to steal, kill and destroy. He does this through causing confusion with lies. Fear is confusion. Sin is confusion.
The lie itself is nothing. It can only cause harm if it is believed. If a lie is accepted as the truth, the mind then begins to formulate its own thoughts around the lie. Before long, many of one’s own thoughts are false and wicked. Wicked thoughts lead to wicked actions, that lead to damnation.
This is how Satan works. He lies. He uses deception to try to kill our faith in the LORD and to try to convince us to rebel against Him. Satan can not harm us, he can only try to trick us into harming ourselves through being disobedient to the LORD.
Furthermore, it is paramount that we study the Bible, the LORD’s word, the TRUTH. The LORD’s word is our ultimate defense. Within the Bible there is a word to counter every lie that Satan can throw at us. The LORD’s word must be written on our hearts. We must be readily-equipped with LORD’s word to combat Satan at a moment’s notice.
When the mind is not meditating on the LORD, it is more prone to being attacked and deceived by Satan. Of course we sometimes need to think about worldly things in our daily lives. The key is that we have the LORD and His word as our strong foundation of rock. That way, if we become overwhelmed by spurious thoughts and the affairs of life, we can quickly focus our minds to the present moment with the LORD, who is our true and perfect support.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you. (Isaiah 26:3)
For the LORD loves judgment, and forsakes not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. (Psalms 37:28)
Any mind without the knowledge of God is an easy target for Satan. This is the majority of the minds in the world, the minds responsible for bringing up children. Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it (Prov 22:6). Children need to be taught the LORD’s truth as early as possible, and consistently. First give them milk and gradually give them meat as they grow. There must not be any slackness in this process, lest Satan steals ground. This is especially important considering many schools are teaching children doctrines that go completely against the LORD’s truth. And of course, for children to be most effectively brought up in the way of the LORD, the adults themselves must be trained and obedient to the LORD.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6)
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves (James 1:22)
Knowledge, obedience and discernment are the keys to identifying and rejecting Satan’s lies. To become obedient, we first must know how the LORD commands us to live. As our obedience increases, we are keen to continually study the Bible and develop our prayer. This leads to greater knowledge and discernment. We need knowledge to make righteous life-changes, such as as separating from unclean habits, people and foods. Such actions greatly please the LORD, who rewards obedience with greater discernment. Jesus, the apostles and the prophets were given extreme discernment, largely due to their extreme obedience to the LORD. Their obedience was rooted in their knowledge of the LORD's word, and their willingness to act boldly with that knowledge. In short, to avoid the snares of the devil, we must fully submit to the LORD and His way.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
As we become more obedient to the LORD and our discernment grows, we become adept at resisting Satan and causing him to flee. However, we must be aware that he will eventually return with new tricks. Against a supreme spiritual warrior like Jesus, Satan recited scripture, telling Jesus the truth, but the truth was a cover for malicious intentions. Jesus saw through the deception because of his discernment and deep understanding of the LORD’s word. (Matthew 4:6-7). Furthermore, we must not be satisfied with our own understanding of scripture, and continually study to improve. In addition, we need to be slow to words and quick to listen carefully, always testing peoples’ spirits, aware that someone may use a little truth to cover a big lie.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)
Finally, it’s important for us to examine our thoughts and the effects they have. If I were having many thoughts about something that ended up being irrelevant, I now know that those thoughts were false. Using this experience, I can be quick to reject those thoughts if they ever appear again. If certain thoughts keep leading me to waste my time on something, I know that those thoughts are a distraction. I should then search for the root of these thoughts, tracing back to the initial deception that led me to think falsely. Often, the root is fear, a reliance on the world, pride, or an attachment to the world. As children we are often taught to be fearful, to rely on the world, and to live and behave as the world does. We must unlearn this behavior and replace it with the knowledge of God. When we fully give our lives to the LORD, study the Bible and seek to progress in His righteous way, we realize that where there is faith and obedience, there is no fear.
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me? It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.(Psalm 118:6, 8)
But seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33)

I’m (25yr F) and my partner of 5 yrs is (28yr M), my partner has been dealing with some pretty devastating news about his health which has been heavily affecting our relationship and mental health.. he wants me to be compliant with everything he wants. I feel as though it may be a tactic to control the small things he can since everything is such chaos rn. He anger and frustrations have escalated so quickly and according to him I’m the one that increases his frustration and makes things worse. Boundaries were cross from both sides and in my attempt to resolve it by communicating just back fired in my face. We got in each others face and said things to each other that we don’t usually. I needed to be heard and validated. He kicked me out and threw all my belongings in a trash bag and left them outside for me to grab. I was so humiliated, I’ve stuck by him for so long and have let so mannnnny things slide.. I deserved better. We both deserved better. I feel like I failed him, although I know I did the best I could. I wanted him to know what it was like to be loved purely, I wanted to be by his side.. he pushed me away and he pushed a little to far 😔 I can’t say it’s all his fault I take responsibility for my actions, I just thought we would do better. My first deep love 🥺

I'm in a living situation where I'm dealing with ceiling fans (below me) and roof HVAC (above me) I can't fully control.
They are the types of noises that are well handled by NC products and I always find Bose NC products to be the best at doing that sort of noise cancellation.
That said, I want to use this type of product for "silence" more than playing music/audio so much and thus the hiss/noise floor of Bose NC products is really a detractor.
In the experience of folks here, is there a particular Bose NC product that had the "quietest" (least hiss) noise floor that one could recommend?
I don't even care if it's something very old and I have to go preowned from eBay, etc. I just want something that I can put on for as much "silence" as possible.

I was watching a movie and was confused by a line. So there's a character called Adam, and he really wants to get a job. His interviewer refused to interview him because he hears some bad rumors about Adam's working performance. When the interviewer tries to leave, Adam stops him and says, "Please, I work very hard. I just... I just need a break."
So my friend and I have different opinions about the meaning of "need a break." I think this man is saying that he really needs this job opportunity, but my friend thinks he's saying "I was just tired, and needed some days off. I'm actually a hard worker." I think if he means that way, then he should've said "needed" instead of "need" since it was something that happened in the past. But after googling, I find usually people use "need a break" to mean "to rest," and when they mean "chance," there's usually an adjective before it, so now I'm kind of confused. What does "break" mean here?
