I have canoed for years with the occasional use of someone else’s kayak. My daughter is growing out of her smaller Sundolphin and I want to get her something for the lake we live on.
We canoe mostly right out of the boathouse and also take it different places, usually by motorboat. We do a lot of smaller streams and tributaries that lead into the relatively large lake—around 4000 acres. It would be mostly adventuring and fitness.
Also, in my research someone mentioned the different bottoms of the boats. How would that affect things?

So I’ve always used cabs with a head for my tone , recently was gifted a joyo American sound pedal from a friend , been playing with it today and have some noob questions

1 how can I make sure I don’t blow my woofers using pedals like this , do I set my dials to moon and use the pedal to control tone ? My amp does not have a pedal input or whatever just front input Jack

Second I am thinking of purchasing a MXR Bass D.I + pedal to shape my sound how I want , I notice I’m getting more smooth bottom end with this joyo American sound dialed in to what I believe it safe and correct no distortion just fattening up my sound
I have the money to spare for a preamp (and no I do not want a sansamp , I tried the v1 and v2 and a friends house and HATED the sound , not a fan of grit and distortion or heavy mids , I like FAT clean smooth sound on my bass the cleaner the better with tons of booty )

Feeling so shittyy!!! Why am i(24F) becoming like this? Why am i not able to control my actions. Whenever i get drunk i end up kissing someone. 2 years ago me and my friends were partying. Drunk me and a friend(25M) of mine felt attracted and we made out. We were about to have sex but we stopped, but after that, I started craving sex. I was not in any relationship at that time and I don't know why i wanted it more and more. Although I was in a physical relationship a few years before that happened but never wanted to have sex even after my breakup. This feeling was not leaving me even after a few months passed. After 6 to 7 months the same thing happened again with him. And yeah it didn't happen again. This time i was craving it more than last time. A few weeks later we stayed in the same house for a few days alone due to some reasons i thought that we won't feel anything like that again but it happened again he said he wanted to kiss and i wanted it too but couldn't say it and pulled me closer and kissed me. We did something more than just a kiss. Next day when we woke up he said that he made a mistake and we shouldn't do it ever again because he had a girlfriend. After that we always stayed away from each other.
All this time i always craved some love some affection someone with whome i can cry with.
Fast forwarding 5 months I used to talk to a boy in phone and texts and kind of liked him a little. I knew him for like 6 months And then we had a friends birthday party and he came. We had drinks that day and I told my best friend that i was attracted him but don't let me go to him. But i don't know why he went and told him that i was attracted to him ( i was attracted to him for the past few weeks but not enough to really kiss him or do anything with him). Later I and my girl friend went to sleep in a room she was with her boyfriend. Later that boy came to the room and laid next to me and asked me if he can kiss me I refused him 2-3 times but still he kissed me, I was so drunk that I didn't know when it happened and i got carried away by whatever it was. we did something more than just a kiss.
Next day when we woke up i didn't knew how to face him or anyone who was there that day. It felt like i made a really big mistake. But later that night we went to a movie there was a scene in which the hero says a dialogue and holds the hands of heroin in a very romantic way and he did the same thing. He said that he liked me for the past few weeks. It was something that i carved a lot i thought that it was happening and he is the one whom i can laugh and cry with. He lived in another another city and next day he had to go. After he went we talked on phone and on texts for the next 2 weeks i guess. I felt something was off about him and i was concerned about what's going to happen next. I talked to him about everything thing that was going on in my mind and he said that we should just stay as friends and i should not think about these things anymore. And i was just devastated hearing everything. Sitting there thinking about everything thing that happened that day shivering and crying and what not. I used to have anxiety attacks 3-4 years back. I started having attacks again. Didn't knew what to do.
And there one more thing that my best friend stopped talking to me after that day. I regretted everything thing alot. There was no one with me. For the next few months i tried hard to convince him but things didn't work out the way they used to. After some time things slowly started getting better.
Fast forwarding few months
Guess what i fucked things again!!!!!!! I drunk kissed my best friend. I never wanted to do this, never... All i can remember is foggy and i just can't remember who initiated it. So I just pretended that I don't remember anything. And he never mentioned it too... I was always scared that if i get close to him in that way it would ruin our friendship and everything. I never want to spoil my friendship with him, but I have a feeling that everything would change because of this kiss. what should I do about myself? What's wrong with me man!! I just fuck things up...

The cofferdam would provide current protection and what ever liquid used would so something to preserve the ship.
The coffer dames does not go all the way to the surface just high enough to submerge titanic.
How feasible would this be? out side of cost.

Hi! I thought I'd come on here to share a word of warning in regards to Synchrony Bank and their line of credit cards. A brief search in here shows I'm not the only one this happened to but it's always worth a new person bringing up in case theirs new viewers to a sub.
Six or seven years ago I applied for, and was given a CareCredit card through synchrony. I really valued that card, it had a relatively high limit for someone in their early 20s ($8k) and was an appreciated safety cushion for unexpected vet and medical/dental expenses. In the first few years, if I carried a balance it was low. In 2018 I had to have some dental work done that after insurance was much more than anticipated, and put that $6k on the carecredit card. I stayed on top of payments, granted not much over minimum because the minimum was $200 a month and of course was right at the same time as rent, but I never once had a negative mark on my account. In 2021 I decided to do a credit card consolidation loan, mostly because the APR on it was significantly lower than the APR on my CareCredit card. Paid it off in one lump sum, and a few months later charged a vet bill to it just to keep the card open. Carried that balance for a bit, paying over minimum but letting some roll to the next month because, really, how often do you use a card dedicated for medical expenses?
In February 2022 we found out my husband had to have surgery. Unfortunately our insurance company doesn't accept carecredit, but it's okay. We decide to buy a new couch that pulls out so when his mom comes to help she isn't on an air mattress or our shitty couch. Off to Jerome's we go. Pick a nice, but cheap, couch... maybe $500-600 out the door? Oh if we pay it off in 6 months with their card we can get 0% APR? Sure! Apply for the card, get immediate approval for the Synchrony Jerome's card, fast forward to September we send in the last payment before the promotion expires. Super easy, honestly never even activated the cards they sent us. I had no intention of closing this card, the extra available credit always looks good.
By this point the CareCredit card was paid off, but every month I still check the accounts of paid off cards because you never know. The account is closed. Gone. My unexpected medical expenses safety cushion is gone. I call and ask why. Im googling while on hold and finding out this is happening to tons of other people. They can't give me a straight answer, I ask for it to be reinstated, they tell me to apply for a new one. My credit isn't as good as it was when I still lived with my parents, not to mention as far as I'm aware having that closed account on my report isn't the greatest. I say no, reinstate my account. They say they can't do that. I ask for a supervisor, the supervisor was rude, I ask for their supervisor, they say they'll schedule a call. I never received that call. In my anger I call back and close the Jerome's card, vowing to never do business with Synchrony again.
Fast forward to yesterday. I receive a letter from Synchrony stating that the account that I applied for in February 2022 should have never been approved that my approval was "made in error." Somehow nearly a year and a half later they've decided that an account that was opened, used, paid off, and closed... was an error.
How do you mess up that badly? How do you approve someone and then decide later "shit sorry, didn't mean to do that"? How do you just close good standing accounts for no reason?
I've since called and confirmed that both accounts are fully closed and were closed in good standing, but yeah. Fuck Synchrony, they're an absolute disaster.

Im usually a lurker, not a poster - so apologies any misused forms. I wanted a share my thoughts/theory about Project Blue Beam, so thank you for reading, if you do. There are probably many other examples I've forgotten as due to work this has taken me most of the day to write please share if you have anything to add. I am quite tired, so apologies for any potential ramblings or spelling errors.
For those of you not familiar there's this very unbiased article on the subject, or my attempt at an introduction below. Project Blue Beam is (allegedly) a U.S. program (NASA) that was exposed by Canadian Investigative Journalist Serge Monast. After he exposed the program, he was in heavy legal troubles for being involved with “networks of prohibited information”. He conveniently died of a heart attack at home, just 24 hours after being released from jail after his second arrest. Project Blue Beam (PBB) consists of the theory that the US government along with certain groups both governmental and "privately run" organizations have an agenda for a World Government and planetary control. Three of the steps though of in the 1990's according to Serge was these:
  1. To abolish all religions and replace them with a one-world religion based on the “cult of man”.
  2. Abolish all national identities to create a “one-world” movement.
  3. To remove the notion of “family” and force everyone to work for a new one-world Government.
It makes sense in the years later as technology progressed to take Crypto into consideration, along with control of the already global food, mineral and oil/gas supply. It's name comes from point number one, where they planned on using an alien invasion as a rallying cry for the world to unite, and this would be done essentially with holograms.
Okey, so these are certain points that I've been thinking of:
- There's been a huge shift in the discussion surrounding Aliens as of late, along with their constant prodding of "Its maybe aliens" - The Media has gone from calling them Conspiracy Theorists who only deserve ridicule, to the current "Whistle blower" which should be taken seriously. - Whether you're for or against the LGBTQ Agenda, It most certainly does exist. I am not here to come off as bigoted, what you do with your partner in your home is none of my business. The simple fact remains, with the recent news surrounding children's involvement, schools hiding much of what they're teaching to the young from their parents creates a divide. The idea of the strong nuclear family, or the "traditional family" which whether you like it or not, built every civilization in existence is being broken down. I am specifically thinking of the new wave of Ped*'s "MAP's" and the overwhelming focus on transgender-ism which is being forced onto the young by the "woke" left.
- The very idea of nationalism in the west has been and is still being demolished. Through good intentioned mass immigration, to European native's not being allowed to be proud of their origins, to the very corruption of our history and literature through Hollywood/Nnetflix and similar producers.
- Many countries in Europe, which were the major food producers in the region, have either been immobilized (Ukraine) or had their hands tied by their very own government (Netherlands and others). When there isn't enough food to go around in the proud European countries, what better save than a global effort with strings attached to save the day. - If nothing else, Covid showed how easily the general public could be controlled, and how quickly people could be thrown to the curb by not following along. - The renewed threat of mutually assured destruction. Every day there is another article about the current two sides - the Glorious West versus the evil Russian/Chinese. Makes you think - wouldn't it be nicer if we all just got along, working as one?
- If you were ever in doubt there's someone in control, just look at the media. Currently there are protests all over Europe, and in many locations around the North American continent, and i would assume many other places in the world, And the global western Media speaking of these what so ever. So if it was needed, there is ample proof that they are consistently working together on an international level, taking the same orders, following the same agenda.
- A failing global economy, fear of global war and years of famine leaves WEF's and G7's CBDC as the perfect candidate for solving all international economies, forcing countries, companies and private citizens into using the CBDC's, and by doing so giving them complete control. With the disdain the western society have for religions today, money has become the new religion, which they can control.
We as the global population would of course not dig too deep into this, because with this agenda of scaring us, along with the major potential revelation of aliens, we would simply be too occupied to think. It feels like the perfect storm, and seeing how things are progressing, It genuinely feels like we're being groomed for something big. It might not turn out to be Project Blue Beam specifically, but it does fit the description.

2023.06.10 00:37 burner7338 Computer issues after downgrading from Windows 11 to Windows 10 on new laptop.

I recently bought a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 for school, unfortunately for me it came with Windows 11. Since I don't like Windows 11, I figured I was hot shit and could do the whole USB boot thing to install Windows 10 on it, and at first it worked.
The laptop booted into Windows 10 and everything seemed fine, except for the lack of any available networks to connect to. After installing some network drivers off of Lenovo's website didn't work, I decided I would try factory resetting the laptop. I did, and now not only is there still no available networks, but the audio seems to be messed up.
I then tried to download the Windows 11 setup onto another usb and use it on the laptop, but it won't work without an internet connection. So my question is, is there a way to revert the laptop back to how it was out of the box?

Traditional language learning methods attempt to teach a languages by utilizing tools such as grammar drills and vocabulary lists. However, these methods are highly insufficient when it comes to truly interacting with the language. It's like trying to learn how to swim by sitting next to a pool and reading a book about swimming mechanics.
Fortunately, Stephen Krashen, the leading linguist in the field of language acquisition research, has introduced a far better approach. Contrary to traditional methods, Krashen proposes the Input hypothesis. According to this hypothesis, true language learning only occurs when the student is actually immersed in the language, rather than simply studying it. In short, it's about jumping into the pool and swimming instead of reading about it.
To gain a deeper understanding of Krashen's hypothesis, (!) I highly recommend watching the video below (!) where he dives into more detail. The information contained in the video is essential for the rest of the guide.

That is exactly what we are trying to do, prepare our brain to understand messages in the content we consume. In short we try to increase our comprehension of the language we want to acquire.

###### Immersion:
The act of consuming content in our target language at our level or slightly higher.
###### Grammar:
Instead of pointless grammar drills, grammar points are only skimmed trough until a vague understanding is established. Immersion will handle the rest, as it did with our native language where none of us had to sit down and do endless grammar exercises to learn how to speak it as a baby.
###### Vocabulary:
Language acquisition is not a sprint but a probably 4 year long marathon but the brain is not all that great at storying information over a long period of time. We will overcome shortcoming with various tools mentioned later in this guide.

Now that we have established a basic understanding of our method let us continue with specific resources and tools we need to study Japanese on our Boox device
We need to set up three systems,
System 1.) Vocabulary (digital flashcard system)
System 2.) Grammar (grammar guides trusted by the language learning community)
System 3.) Immersion (set up a digital pop up dictionary to read Japanese content )
All of the systems and programs shown below I already use on my Android phone and PC.
But thanks to the Leaf 2 not being an e-ink reader but an android 11 e-ink tablet, all of the necessary programs and applications are supported and can be used on the device. Necessary details for the set up for each system will be included in the rest of the guide.

Issue 1:
On average, beginners need to learn the first 3000 most common words in a language to comprehend local newspapers. However, there is no efficient way to track and review the words we have learned, those we are likely to forget, and the ones already forgotten.
Solution 1:

I have a small amount of ETH in a few different wallets. Like $10 or $20 worth. I want to send that ETH to my main wallet, and I don't care how long it takes.
Let's say I set the gas to 10 on the transactions. And lets say gas doesn't drop that low for 15 months. Will those transactions just patiently wait there for 15 months until gas prices drop that low? Or will they time out or something?
I won't be using these wallets for anything, so the pending transactions won't get in the way of other transactions.

Seriously, how the hell did we go from
"Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" (D4C because its 4 words that start with D and then the C for cheap at the end)
to
"Filthy Acts At A Reasonable Price" (F3RP??)
It just feels like they took each word from the original title, put them in thesaurus, and used the first result for each one.
That is not to mention things like Ermes's SMACK, FLACCID PANCAKE, and the best of them all being Narancia's Aerosmith turning into L'IL BOMBER..
Iunno, this is probably just a rant post.

2023.06.10 00:35 nubbeldilla Fixing access violation crash error - restore your bios to default ! [PC CRASH FIX XMP DISABLE]

I had XMP enabled, all my games were working nicely, but this game was to much for my pc.
Disabling XMP by hitting the default button in the bios fixed the game crashes, in jedi survivor !
Go into the bios and click on the restore default button. Restart and test the game for a while.
If this does not help look up, on how to do a cmos reset.
Let's say nothing was helping, read some more, about fixing the game.

I’m pretty sure a friend i had since primary school has been telling ppl bad shit about me. I’ve told her about my mental health issues/family issues/ppl i hate. I’ve also had many sleepovers with her and was still friends with her despite her dad barging in the bathroom and opening the curtain while a bunch of girls were naked in the bathtub. At that time I was hairy and didn’t know how to shave so he saw my pubic hair. I’m not surprised if she told ppl about the hair and not about her dad opening the curtain.
I remember the first time i cried to her, there was no empathy. In fact she looked like she was almost holding back amusement. And it was on face time so i bet she recorded it and send it to her friends. She has told me before that she has receipts on everyone. She’s also told her friend my exact weight, cus i was chuubby at the time and that friend mentioned out loud in front of the whole class.
I also have other friends who’ve explicitly told me that they use ppl. And i kept being friends with them. Even though there were other people actively trying to be friends with me but I wouldn’t interact cus i was afraid i’d have to deal w/ more toxic ppl. I think the biggest reasons for my terrible SAD because always felt like I had to perform for everybody. And when i got burnt out, I got depressed and all of a sudden people started to leave. Ppl only like me because of my energy, and then put me down while they suck the life out of me.
I just don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I already have toxic family that emotionally abuses me. I’m tired of realizing that people I CHOOSE to be in my life do the same thing?
I keep hearing about these low maintenance friendships. I want a friendship where i can talk about trauma and be validated, and not for it to be gossiped about. I want to feel like people actually enjoy my presence.
I have never really felt truly liked just cus i exist. What are the red flags of a person before becoming friends with them? And is having a best friend not possible? Like i just don’t understand, maybe i’m clingy and need to have a higher group of friends.
But that’s stressful i’m already socially awkward, how am I gonna convince so many ppl to be friends with me? When I don’t want to be friends w/ ppl they bully me, but when I do they find out I’m messed up, take my good energy, and leave me worse than before.
What kind of bad luck is this?

I have a big problem with the headlines some news channel use or the rhetoric some journalists use when writing their articles.
Before explaining myself better i will leave some examples of headlines of various articles found online:
1 NBC NEWS: "Putin thinks he can win in Ukraine because it matters more to him than to the U.S., says CIA chief"

What do these articles have in common? A particular word is used in all the headlines.
The word i'm referring to is "THINKS".
I wonder if articles titled like this are totally garbage or if those people seriously think they can read a person's mind. How can articles like these be allowed on Mainstream news channels, and why does nobody seem to question how these articles are presented?
Do you guys also find this strange or perhaps you think there is nothing wrong with those headlines? Why do they use this rhetoric? Is it just propaganda?

Im using a port feature from the design library. SAE J1926-1 to be exact. Does any one have any experience with how this inserted feature carries over to the real world? Meaning, I design a part with this port and send the file to the machine shop. Does it automatically correspond to tool paths, does my operator have to recognize it and then add in the steps and features he needs on his end? I’ve sent plenty of parts to CNC job shops before but never with a feature like this. Anyone here got some experience or is this better posted over in the machinist sub?
