Or
After 10 minutes of gaming, the pc will blue screen resulting in stop code “Memory Management error” or a code similar that involves the memory.
Here are the steps I’ve taken so far to resolve it,
Switched to a new ram kit
Reduced Memory frequency
Ran the Windows memory diagnostic tool (showed no errors)
Reinstalled windows (multiple times)
Checked temperature of CPU and GPU while gaming to make sure it’s properly throttling
Power supply fan is running properly
At this point I am out of my skill area and need some help. If anyone has any advice at all I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

2023.06.01 21:34 In_Yellow_Clad Huh -- (A One Shot)
Badrapra - a name that would go down in history - is a planet smack dab on the edge of human space, a planet that sat at the junction of several supply lanes and commerce hubs, and was for all intents and purposes, a fortress world as a result. Considering it was the only way through a region of space that was known for lost ships that ventured out into the twin nebulas, from which nothing but space wildlife ever returned, it was as you might think, a damn important planet to hold onto. A planet from which a counter attack could be launched in any direction, a chokepoint that couldn’t be breached without exorbitant cost to resources and manpower. A planet from which a foe could strike at the heart of humanity should they take it.
Which was why Humanity and the Ta’Ex were currently brawling over it. The reasons for the current interstellar conflict aren’t important, what is important is this planet, over and on which the two belligerents have fought each other to a standstill. Upon this planet is a fortress, a fortress garrisoned by some of the most seasoned men and women of the Terran military, and trenches span the entire planet, surrounding cities and industry as protection against invasion.
In orbit it is much the same, sort of. Instead of trenches there are reefs of defense satellites and weapons emplacements, shoals of warships patrol the space around the planet and the lanes that all are forced to use. It was built to be impenetrable, imposing in a way that any foe would cower at the mere mention of it. And yet…
And yet the Ta’Ex had launched a bold assault upon the planet, bringing four of their largest fleets to bear down upon the defenses. It was a brutal fight, losses were heavy on both sides, but neither was willing to back down. It was the same on the ground, the Ta’Ex had made planetfall with relative ease, only to find themselves staring at trench lines that were miles thick and brimming with all manner of terrible weaponry. Since humanity was unwilling to give up their defensive positions and simply let the enemy break themselves against said defenses, things quickly devolved into a game of waiting and patience.
The Ta’Ex had boldly walked right into the fire, thinking they could easily beat such defenses, they were quite wrong about that. In less than four hours they’d lost several thousand troops to coordinated artillery, air and ground fire, while humanity lost not even a percentage of that. So the Ta’Ex decided to emulate humanity instead, building their own counter trenches and emplacements.
And now the course of any engagement was predicated on who was winning in space. Regular supply drops and the rotating of troops off the frontlines became exceedingly difficult at times thanks to the back and forth nature of the spaceborne conflict. So, as is want to happen in such cases, the soldiers grew bored, and in some cases, desperate.
For example, on the day the battle would end. Nobody knew it at the time, but one small event would change the course of the battle in favor of humanity, as the Ta’Ex would get a taste of what humanity was truly like, and it would be a thing that shook them to their core.
A fine morning indeed, or so it appeared. The silence over the trenches was an illusion that could be shattered at any moment by artillery or gunfire, yet none came. And so the Ta’Ex commander watched the birds in the sky instead, sipping on a hot drink that was his species' equivalent of human coffee. It served to give him that extra little jolt that would keep him awake, something he needed these days since the most that ever happened were one side hurling insults at the other and the occasional potshot just to remind the enemy that they still existed.
I, Lord Commander Issal, turned my attention to the device they were building, it was a two fold thing. The first part of it would project a moveable shield which could theoretically withstand an orbital strike and would allow their troops to advance on the enemy trenches without fear of death. The other part, was a directed energy weapon, one capable of leveling entire city blocks if they so wished, or even striking at an orbiting capital ship with reasonably grand results. It would be a good weapon to use when they began to advance, as it could soften targets with ease in a way that artillery wasn’t quite capable of.
At the moment only the cannon was built, and even that wasn’t fully ready for deployment, there were several simulations still needing to be run, but I was confident that soon we could begin a proper assault, once the shield platform was complete. That said, I had a feeling of unease settle over me as a heavy fog rolled in and partially obscured the sky.
A few orders later and I was certain that any potential attack could be thwarted during such a phenomenon. What I wasn’t expecting was to see a shape walk out of the mist that was distinctly not a Ta’Ex. See, we Ta’Ex are a very tall species, they sport six limbs, four arms and two legs. The second pair of arms are smaller and widely considered to be vestigial at this point in their evolution. Their bodies covered in a light coating of fur, vaguely avian heads and a long stinger tipped tail. Like some sort of really fucked up hybrid of a bird, scorpion and a dog as the humans would say. That generally didn’t offend the Ta’Ex, they understood that some species were really only able to compare them to somewhat similar creatures on their homeworlds, that was alright.
What walked out of the mist was not Ta’Ex, but human. Smaller than the Ta’Ex by at least four human feet, lacking the extra limbs and fur, plus no tail which was just wrong on so many levels. I expected a human in power armor, which we had discovered to be exceedingly devastating against us, with no real counter beyond sticking a det-pack somewhere where they couldn’t reach and blowing them up. Instead, this human walked casually through our trench in what they call ‘shorts’ and a ‘t-shirt’, their hair messy and the beginnings of something called a ‘beard’ showing along their jaw. Even their boots were untied, loose and flopping around their hideous feet as they walked.
So stunned we all were that nobody moved as the human walked wearily up to the cannon controls - which I know really shouldn’t be out in the open like they were, but the design of the cannon resulted in the controls being outside rather than protected internally- and just stared at them for what felt like ours. I was about to bellow a war cry and charge the human when they finally moved. It felt as though my perception of time slowed as I watched their five fingered hand curl only four digits, what they called an index finger rigid and extended as it rose into the air, and then began a descent towards the control panel. Nobody moved, nobody even dared to breathe, as that finger pushed a button.
Nothing happened, and the human seemed to be confused by this, as they pushed the button several more times before they tried simply holding it down. When even that didn’t work they let out a little huff of annoyance and started pushing other buttons, till one actually did something. He paused when the capacitors began drawing power audibly, quickly too, and finally the first button he’d been pressing lit up as the charging sequence finished.
With a soft shrug and a frown of sorts they pushed the button one more time, before the sky was split in two and darkened considerably as a violet beam of energy lanced forth from the cannon. It lasted for thirty seconds before suddenly shutting down, the cannon barrel smoking and the human looked surprised before they shrugged and uttered a sentence that would haunt me forever.
“Huh… So that’s what that does. Neat.” And they turned around and walked casually back through the trenches. When they reached the perimeter they climbed up and out, sauntering lazily across the open fields between our lines. A flurry of panicked comms chatter reached me finally, and as I listened with a mounting sense of horror and even embarrassment, I learned that this random human who had fired our weapon quite by chance, had also heaped more misfortune upon us.
Our flagship was in flames.
Against all odds, the stars had seemingly aligned for this one human to make an unguided and unintentional attack against the pride of our fleet, using our very own weapon against us, all because he’d let his own curiosity get the better of his judgement, and because I, in my shock, had simply allowed it to happen.
I sat down heavily, and wondered what to do. Two hours later, word had spread far and wide, and we no longer wished to fight these apes, for what new misfortunes could they heap upon us in their pursuit for the cure to boredom? An hour after that, the war was over.
– – – – – –
When Corporal Flynn made it back to his particular stretch of shitty trench, he found the company CO standing there waiting for him, and he did not look impressed.
“Just what the hell were you thinking Corporal!?” Captain Mcgowan practically spat, and the corporal stared blankly at him for approximately two seconds before responding, realization crossing his face before he grinned broadly.
“I was bored, sir.”

2023.06.01 21:33 ham_alamadingdong My First Time Watching: Season 33- Millennials v. Gen X
overall season: i liked this season. i thought the theme was really interesting, i thought adam was a great winner, and i thought there were some really fun characters. i wasn’t a fan of the legacy advantage because of how secretive it was and no one was aware of it, i wasn’t a huge fan of the advantage itself, but overall it didn’t have a big effect on the game.
specific players:
adam: so i knew going into this that adam would win and it also seemed pretty transparent towards the end of the game. i think he definitely had some messiness in his game, for example i couldn’t believe that he told taylor about his advantage, that was a huge crack for him. but he pulled through and obviously his story was touching. i literally gasped out loud when he said that his mom passed away an hour after he got home. stories like that are crazy, it’s so interesting how we subconsciously control our deaths. she waited for him to get home and that’s amazing.
david: david had the most fascinating story other than adam. i definitely expected him to rise above his insecurities and fears, but i really didn’t expect him to be the huge final 4 threat that everyone respected and wanted out. i was really happy for him. we’ve always had weak players and insecure/shy characters but i related to david’s fear of basically everything. he was a great addition to the season
zeke: he was so entertaining this season, his rise and fall was hilarious and fun, and i’ve already started game changers and i was excited to see him return (although i know something bad will happen soon lol)
figgy/taylor: they were sooooo clueless and annoying sometimes, but this showmance was atleast entertaining. however jeff addressing them at the reunion was so incredibly awkward….
michaela: i know she returns next season and she was definitely an entertaining character for tv but she got on my nerves with her constant negative attitude and moodiness and rudeness to everyone she talks to, she just took everything way too seriously imo.
other notes:
- i’m not a part of either generation, but it was interesting how they picked very stereotypical castaways for each generation. i got frustrated with how cocky the gen x people could be in a superior sort of way, and i also got frustrated with how oblivious and naive the millennials could be.
- very interesting that we had an entire evacuation. never seen that before. did they go to ponderosa during the storm? how did production hold off gameplay occurring?
- why was jeff asking figgy and taylor about marriage at tribal 🤦🏽♀️ he takes it so far
- damn, jessica’s rock draw was brutal.
- i couldn’t help but feel bad for ken and hannah at FTC, adam clearly had the best performance and pulled on the jury’s heart strings but i could see the sadness and frustration from that in ken and hannah, who both didn’t play horrible games.
overall, this was a solid season. i’ll rate it 8/10

2023.06.01 21:32 bikingfencer 1st John chapter 2 - the antichrist
Chapter Two
The Anointed learns upon us right [זכות, ZeKhOoTh] [verses 1-6]
- My children [ילדי, YeLahDah-eeY], write I to you [את, ’ehTh] the words the these to sake you not sin, and if sins a man, we have to us an advocate [מליץ, MayhLeeYTs] before the father – YayShOo`ah [“Savior”, Jesus] the anointed, the righteous.
“…ethics in the N.T. [New Testament] is never finally a matter of a ‘works-righteousness’ or code. The Spirit interprets our duty to us in various situations.” (Wilder, 1955, TIB p. XII 227)
- And he is atonement [כפרה, KahPahRaH] for our sins,
“`Ιλασμος [‘Ilasmos], the atoning sacrifice for our sins… כפור kippur… The word is used only here, and in chap. iv.10.” (Clarke, 1831, p. VI 862)
and not upon our sins only, rather [אלה, ’ehLah’] also upon sins of all the world.
“The apostle does not say that he died for any select part of the inhabitants of the earth, or for some out of every nation, tribe, or kindred, but for ALL MANKIND: and the attempt to limit this is a violent outrage against God and his word.” (Clarke, 1831, p. VI 862))
- And in this know [נדע, NayDah`] that we recognize [שהכרנו, ShehHeeKahRNOo] him: if we guard his commandments.
- The sayer, “I recognize him.”, and has not guarded [את, ’ehTh] his commandments, a worder of falsehood is he, and the truth has not in him.
- But [אך, ’ahKh] the guarder [את, ’ehTh] His word, in same the man is completed [נשלמה, NeeShLeMaH], in truth, love of Gods; in this know that in him are we.
- The sayer that he stands in YayShOoah, as [the] way that walked YayShOoah, yes also is upon him to walk.
……………………………………………………….
The new commandment [verses 7-17]
- My beloved, not a commandment new write I to you, rather [כי אם, KeeY ’eeM] a commandment old, that was to you from [the] first. The commandment, the old, she is the word that you heard.
- And in all that, a commandment new write I to you, a word that is established also in him and also in you, that see, the darkness passes and the light the true already shines [זורח, ZORay-ahH].
- The sayer that [כי, KeeY] in light he is and with that hates [את, ’ehTh] his brethren, still is he [עודנו, `ODehNOo] in darkness.
- The lover [את, ’ehTh] his brethren stands in light, and scandal [ומכשול, OoMeeKhShOL] has not in him.
- But [אבל, ’ahBahL] the hater [את, ’ehTh] his brethren, in darkness is he; in darkness he walks, and he does not know to where he walks, for the darkness blinds [עור, `eeVayR] [את, ’ehTh] his eyes.
- Write I to you, my children, So [מפני, MeePNaY] that will be pardoned to you your sins on behalf of his name.
- Write I to you, fathers, so that you recognize [את, ’ehTh] him, that he was from [the] first. Write I to you, first-born, so that you conquer [שנצחתם, SheNeeTsahHThehM] [את, ’ehTh] the evil.
- I wrote to you, children, so that you recognize [את, ’ehTh] the Father. I wrote to you, fathers, so that you recognize [את, ’ehTh] him, that he [was] from [the] first. I wrote to you, first-born, so that you strengthen, and word [of] Gods is realized in your midst, and you conquer [את, ’ehTh] the evil.
- Do not love [את, ’ehTh] the world, nor [אף, ’ahPh] [את, ’ehTh] what that is in [the] world; man, if he loves [את, ’ehTh] the world, has not within him love of the father.
“… a love of the creature and the creation is disparaged over against the primal and everlasting ground of existence, the Father and his purpose….
Such an emphasis is indeed exposed to the modern reproach of a false otherworldliness, and this passage has often been used to fortify such a piety.” (Wilder, 1955, TIB pp. XII 238-239)
- For all that is in the world - lust of [תאות, Thah’ahVahTh] fleshes, lusts of the eyes, and pride of [וגאות, VeGah’ahVahTh] the possessions [הנכסים, HahNeKhahÇeeYM] - not from the father is it, rather it is from the world.
“For the lust of the eyes a passage in the Testament of Reuben[10] (ch. 2) is illuminating. It speaks of the ‘seven spirits of deceit’ which are ‘appointed against man’ of which one is the ‘sense of sight from which ariseth desire’ (cf. also Ezek. [Ezekiel] 20:7-8). Jesus strictly warns against the eye as the occasion of temptation in the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. [Matthew] 5:27-29)” (Wilder, 1955, TIB p. XII 240)
[10] “The Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs is a constituent of the apocryphal scriptures connected with the Torah. It is a pseudepigraphical work comprising the dying commands of the twelve sons of Jacob. It is part of the Oscan Armenian Orthodox Bible of 1666. Fragments of similar writings were found at Qumran, but opinions are divided if these are the same texts. It is considered Apocalyptic literature.
The Testaments were written in Greek, and reached their final form in the second century CE. In the 13th century that they were introduced into the West through the agency of Robert Grosseteste, Bishop of Lincoln, whose Latin translation of the work gained immediately became popular. He believed that it was a genuine work of the twelve sons of Jacob, and that the Christian interpolations were a genuine product of Jewish prophecy; he accused Jews of concealing the Testaments ‘on account of the prophecies of the Saviour contained in them.’
With the critical methods of the 16th century, Grosseteste’s view of the Testaments was rejected and the book was unjustly disparaged as a mere Christian forgery for nearly four centuries. Presently, scholarly opinions are still divided as to whether the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs are an originally Jewish document that has been retouched by Christians or are a Christian document written originally in Greek but based on some earlier Semitic material. The feasibility of the Jewish author hypothesis is increasingly difficult to defend, while the Christian nature of the book is a given. Scholarship, therefore, focuses on this book as a Christian work, whether or not it has Jewish original (Vorlage).
A copy of the testaments is published in The Lost Books of the Bible and the Forgotten Books of Eden.
The work is divided into twelve books, each purporting to be the last exhortations of one of the twelve titular patriarchs. In each, the patriarch first narrates his own life, focusing on his strengths, virtues, or his sins, using biographical material from both the Hebrew Bible and Jewish tradition. Next he exhorts his listeners to emulate the one and to avoid the other. Most of the books conclude with prophetic visions.
The Testament of Reuben is predominantly concerned with admonishing lust, and the sinfulness of Reuben in his having had sex with Bilhah, a concubine of his father. It is likely that the author wished to cover the topic of fornication anyway, and assigned it for Reuben to discuss due to Reuben's relationship with Bilhah being recounted in the canonical bible.

Distressor [צורר, TsORehR] [of] the Anointed [verses 18-28]
- My children, that is the hour, the last, and, like that you heard that [כי, KeeY] would come the distressor [of] the Anointed [αντιχρισος – antichrisos ~ antichrist], also now have risen distressors of Anointed multitudinous. From here know we that that is the hour, the last.
“The actual term antichrist appears only in I and II John in the N.T. but the same figure is in view in the ‘man of lawlessness’ of II Thess. [Thessalonians] 2:3-4, in the great agent of sacrilege in Mark 13:14 and its parallels, and elsewhere. In our epistle he is identified with the ‘spirit’ of heresy (4:3) or error (4:6) as already come. He has in mind disturbers of the life of the churches generally and pretenders to messiahship or divinity in various parts of the empire. Words assigned to Jesus in the Gospels bearing on these events were thought of by the evangelists as fulfilled in their day. … The church fathers, rightly or wrongly, supply the names of Dositheus[11], Simon Magus[12], Judas Gallaeus, and later, Montanus[13], as having made messianic claims.” (Wilder, 1955, TIB pp. XII 243-244)
[11] “The legendary background of the Pseudo-Clementine polemic informs us that the precursor of ‘Simon Magus’ was a certain Dositheus. He is mentioned in the lists of the earliest hæresiologists, in a Samaritan Chronicle, and in the Chronicle of Aboulfatah (fourteenth century); the notices, however, are all legendary, and nothing of a really reliable character can be asserted of the man. That however he was not an unimportant personage is evidenced by the persistence of the sect of the Dositheans to the sixth century; Aboulfatah says even to the fourteenth. Both Dositheus and ‘Simon Magus’ were, according to tradition, followers of John the Baptist; they were, however, said to be inimical to Jesus. Dositheus is said to have claimed to be the promised prophet, ‘like unto Moses,’ and ‘Simon’ to have made a still higher claim. In fact, like so many others in those days, both were claimants to the Messiaship. The Dositheans followed a mode of life closely resembling that of the Essenes; they had also their own secret volumes, and apparently a not inconsiderable literature.
Dositheus (Dousis, Dusis, or Dosthai) was apparently an Arab, and in Arabia, we have every reason to believe, there were many mystic communities allied to those of the Essenes and Therapeuts.”
http://sacred-texts.com/gno/fff/fff20.htm [12] “Simon Magus (Greek Σίμων ὁ μάγος), also known as Simon the Sorcerer and Simon of Gitta, was a Samaritan proto-Gnostic and traditional founder of the Simonians in the first century A.D. He appeared prominently in several apocryphal and heresiological accounts of early Christian writers, who regarded him as the source of all heresies.
Simon Magus has been portrayed as both student and teacher of Dositheus, with followers who revered him as the Great Power of God. There were accusations by Christians that he was a demon in human form, and he was specifically said to possess the ability to levitate and fly at will. The fantastic stories of Simon the Sorcerer persisted into the Middle Ages, becoming a possible inspiration for Goethe's Faust.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Magus [13] “Montanism was an early Christian movement of the early 2nd century A.D., named after its founder Montanus. It originated at Hierapolis where Papias was bishop and flourished throughout the region of Phrygia, leading to the movement being referred to as Cataphrygian (meaning it was ‘from Phrygia’). It spread rapidly to other regions in the Roman Empire at a time before Christianity was generally tolerated or legal. Although orthodox Nicene Christianity prevailed against Montanism within a few generations, labeling it a heresy, the sect persisted in some isolated places into the 8th century. Some people have drawn parallels between Montanism and modern Pentecostalism (which some call Neo-Montanism). The most widely known Montanist was undoubtedly Tertullian, who was the foremost Latin church writer before he converted to Montanism.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montanism - And you have to you the anointing from [מאת, May’ayTh] the Holy [one], and all of you know.
“The word [anointing] is not used in the N.T. outside the present chapter.” (Wilder, 1955, TIB p. XII 245)
““The χρισμα, chrism, or ointment, here mentioned, is also an allusion to the holy anointing ointment prescribed by God himself, Exod. xxx. 23-25. which was composed of fine myrrh[14], sweet cinnamon, sweet calamus[15], cassia lignea[16], and olive oil.”
[14] “Myrrh is a reddish-brown resinous material, the dried sap of a number of trees, but primarily from Commiphora myrrha, native to Yemen, Somalia, the eastern parts of Ethiopia and Commiphora gileadensis, native to Jordan…. Myrrh was used as an embalming ointment and was used, up until about the 15th century, as a penitential incense in funerals and cremations. The "holy oil" traditionally used by the Eastern Orthodox Church for performing the sacraments of chrismation and unction is traditionally scented with myrrh…”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrrh [15] “Sweet Flag, also known as calamus and various rushes and sedges, (Acorus calamus) is a plant from the Acoraceae family, in the genus Acorus. It is a tall perennial wetland monocot with scented leaves and more strongly scented rhizomes, which have been used medicinally, for its odor, and as a psychotropic drug.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_Flag [16] “The spice now known in pharmaceutical literature under the name of Cassia lignea has, from time immemorial, been an article of trade from South China. Flückiger and Hanbury are indeed of opinion that it was the cinnamon of the ancients, what now bears the name being peculiar to Ceylon and unnoticed as a product of the island till the thirteenth century. (‘Pharmacographia,’ pp. 520, 521.) Cinnamon and cassia are, however, enumerated amongst the products of the East from the earliest periods; and the former was known to the Arabians and Persians as Darchini (dar, wood or bark, and chini, Chinese). It seems in ancient times to have been carried by Chinese traders to the Malabar coast, where it passed into the commerce of the Red Sea. In this way the statements of Dioscorides, Ptolemy, and others, are accounted for, who speak of cinnamon as a product of Arabia and Eastern Africa, countries in which there is no reason to suppose it ever grew.”
http://www.henriettesherbal.com/eclectic/journals/ajp1883/03-cassia-lign.html (Clarke, 1831, p. VI 866)
… 22. Who is he, worder false, if not with [בלתי, BeeLTheeY] the denier [הכופר, HahKOPhayR] in thus, that YayShOo`ah, he is the anointed? This is him, distressor [of] the anointed: the denier in father and in son.
“… not the Jewish refusal to recognize Jesus as the messiah; this denial would hardly be made by members of the church… it is the denial that ‘Jesus Christ has come in the flesh’. … The Doscetists made a separation between the earthly Jesus and the heavenly Christ. These verses sound very harsh and dogmatic to us (and cf. 5:10, 12). As a matter of fact, the impulse of the writer was not that of an inflexible orthodoxy: it was an appeal to the abiding dynamic witness of the Spirit, which quickens and leads into all truth. This Spirit was indeed related inseparably to the old oral confessions of the church (cf. Acts 8:37, RSV mg [margin]), but these evidently were already taking various forms, and the meaning of the term Christ, for example, had changed markedly.” (Wilder, 1955, TIB pp. XII 246-247)
“Some have supposed that an Ebionite denial of Jesus’ messiahship is all that is intended here (so Maurice Goguel). But the second part of the verse makes it likely that Docetic-Gnostic issues are involved.” (Wilder, 1955, TIB p. XII 271)
“There were certain persons who, while they acknowledged Jesus to be a Divine Teacher, denied him to be the Christ, i.e., the Messiah.
“He is antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son.] He is antichrist who denies the supernatural and miraculous birth of Jesus Christ; who denies Jesus to be the Son of God; and who denies God to be the Father of the Lord Jesus: - thus he denies the Father and the Son. The Jews in general, and the Gnostics in particular, denied the miraculous conception of Jesus: with both he was accounted no more than a common man, the son of Joseph and Mary. But the Gnostics held that a divine person, ᴁon or angelical being, dwelt in him; but all things else relative to his miraculous generation and divinity they rejected. These were antichrist, who denied Jesus to be the Christ.” (Clarke, 1831, p. VI 866)

2023.06.01 21:32 QiqiStan USB Wifi Adapter not detected by Windows 10 at all
My WiFi adapter was working fine until randomly last night. I was unable to connect to the WiFi, and the option to connect to any networks was just gone altogether. I've looked in Device Manager, Network connections through Control Panel, everything— none of it has worked. List of things I've already tried:
- Resetting Network settings
- Resetting my router
- swapping USB ports
- trying a new wifi adapter
- installing the adapter's drivers
- resetting windows 10
- disabling Windows Firewall temporarily: this worked for a split second, but immediately stopped. The Windows Firewall is still off and when checking the driver, it said the adapter needed to be reconnected (it gave me a code 45 when the usb adapter was already connected.)
I know nothing about computers or stuff like this and it's giving me a headache. Please help!

2023.06.01 21:30 merfolkJH sf6 : question about solo "arcade" mode
Hi,
beside the "world tour build your own fighter gta like", is there a classic "You vs max difficulty Ia", and try to beat the game, with all characters ?
"arcade mode vs Ia": like, you take a character, you chain fights vs 8 others, and at the end you unlock some arts ? From what i vs read, there is, but can someone give me more details ?
I am not interested in "tutorial /training modes or so". A plain old shool : you start at bottom and must chain win X fights, with limited "continue option's". And this for all characters, with for example, different reward for "easy / normal / hard" victory.
- Is this in the game ?
- Is there any "challenge" , that can keep you on for 10+ hours, or is it a simple "win 2 fights and win a picture" final dot.
- X = 3, 5, 8, 10, 15 ?
- a sort of final boss at the end ?
Thanks for clarifications, it was one of our favorite activity, a sort of "PVE" relay, trying to win everything in "difficult" mode. I wonder if i will find this in SF6.

2023.06.01 21:28 she-sylvan "Is r/endangeredart about art?"
This was a question that seems to have come up on the community page. The answer is that we aim to use various art forms to showcase the plight of endangered and vulnerable species around the world. Whether the form is digital art, videography or even photography does not matter, as long as it deals with the subject at hand.

2023.06.01 21:28 Leading-Fail-7263 Free Speech and Blockchains
| [ Original post here]( https://bbs.market/METABBS/posts/BIDVqFGbnKWsImlQHgM5?backLinkUrl=%2FMETABBS%2Fprofile%2FSalam_Shalom%40bbs&backLinkLabel=Back%20to%[email protected]) Free speech is a fascinating topic in political philosophy. It is of paramount importance for a functioning society. Nowadays, our society constitutes two important realms: the physical, and the digital. It’s useful to think from first principles when discussing these issues. So, what is speech? It’s just the expression of ideas, and ideas can be expressed in two ways: in real-time, and in written form*. Real-time speech being the action of your mouth creating certain sound waves, and written ‘speech’ being any kind of information represented by visible things. Interestingly, only the latter exists in the digital world. Everything in the digital world is ultimately represented in binary form, 1s and 0s. All digital manifestations of information are just text. Nothing more. Securing real-time, public free speech in the physical world is relatively simple, as it only really constitutes two stages: thinking and verbally transmitting. Thoughts are extremely difficult to regulate, so enabling someone to think freely is an easy and important part of securing free speech. To facilitate the free transfer of ideas, you need to permit people to speak what they want. Or, in extreme-first-principles thinking, permit them to create an infinite range of sound waves. In London, Speakers’ corner is the epitome of securing real-time, public free speech in the physical world. Anyone can think and say anything. Written, public speech is slightly more complicated. It involves thinking of the idea, transferring it, and storing it. In the physical world, you have two options when it comes to transferring written information: distribute many copies of your written speech, or gather people to one physical place to learn about it. Transferring written information in a free, decentralised and public way is very difficult in the physical world. To pursue the former option of transfer (distribution), you are at the whim of the printing press or, before them, the literate person of the community. To pursue the latter (gathering), you’re also at the whim of whoever has access to display such information publicly (maybe whoever owns the billboard) . Your ability to transfer written speech freely in the physical world is limited, due to the difficulty of everyone being able to spread information equally. Once information is spread, however, it’s fairly easy to store it in a public and decentralised way. You write down your idea and distribute it. No one person "stores" the bible – it’s stored in a distributed, decentralised way, and that’s why it’s survived 4000 years. No one can delete the bible. In short: you can’t transfer written information in a decentralised way in the physical world, but you can store it as such. The internet completely changed this. In the digital world, you don’t need to ask for anyone’s permission to transfer your idea via the internet – there is no printing press, literate minority, etc. Everyone is a publisher, at least since the internet’s second iteration (a.k.a. Web2). But this came with a trade-off: information was no longer stored in a decentralised way. So, the digital world swapped realms of the strength of written free speech in the physical world: Transfer, before blockchains You could not store information in a decentralised way in the digital world, so free speech was limited**. Until January 3rd, 2009. On that day, things completely changed. Bitcoin was implemented and, for the first time, humans could process, transfer, and store written ideas in an open, public, censorship resistant, decentralised manner. Free speech had been achieved in the digital world. As Nakamoto put it: information became “easy to spread but hard to stifle”. BBS uses the same technology to bring the free speech of linguistically-expressed ideas, posts, into the digital world. And that is why it is censorship-resistant. No one controls what you use to create your writing (your PC). No one controls what you use to transfer your writing (the internet). No one controls where your writing is stored (the blockchain). For the first time. Ever. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry for taking so long to get to the point. I hope some of the information was informative. *I use “written” as a broad term to mean anything visual. It could include art, etc. **because speech necessitates storage in the digital world submitted by Leading-Fail-7263 to CryptoCurrency [link] [comments] |
2023.06.01 21:27 moodymug My crush confuses me. He likes me or not?
I have a some kind of friend on college who I used to hate him first because I thought he hates me(I trusted many people who betrayed me or controlled me in some ways, so I have some anxiety) and he's faking his kindness, but we talked once in a party and I found him nice. We have some same classes where we're attend to and I've started to like him since for two months, because he is actually kind and cute, and he has the cutest smile in the world. However I can't decide he likes me or not because we talk rarely. Sometimes I caught him to stare at me, and he was nervous. He helped me to study because I'm struggling with English especially with grammar, and he gave me some tips. But he never initated conversation with me so far. We're kinda different. He's more extroverted, friendlier and he's always with his group of friend, while I'm more quieter, more annoying and I have few friends but I can meet with them less, so I usually I'm just sitting amd studying and sometimes coding. What should I do?

2023.06.01 21:26 WormiestBurrito [Online] [D&D 5e] [Sat/Sun, Time Varies, PST] Experienced DM looking for 1-2 more players to fill out a campaign.
Hello Everyone,
I am an experienced DM (10 years or so, multiple 3-20 campaigns) running a weekly D&D 5e campaign that usually takes place on Sat or Sun, PST (time can vary). The game is run via a mix of Roll20, D&DBeyond, and Discord. There are currently 3 players and we're 4 sessions into the campaign, I'd like to fill the game out with 1-2 more players. New or experienced players are welcome (we have 2 new players in the game currently).
A bit about the campaign:
- The setting is homebrew high fantasy with a bit of steampunk, sci-fi, and weird fiction. The game style is sandbox with a heavy emphasis on party agency. There are certainly rails that can be followed, but the onus is on the party to decide to do so. Feel free to check out some of the lore to get a better sense.
- Many of the stories, characters, and settings within the world will be morally grey. Sometimes there will be clear lines between "good" and "bad," but I enjoy what's in-between and often the morality will have to be determined by your character's views. Mature themes are also present (slavery, genocide, racism), but will not be described in some cases (I.E. anything involving children, torture, or sex).
- I try to run a fairly balanced game combat-wise, however, a lot factors into encounter difficulty. Playeparty choice prior to and during an encounter can affect difficulty as well as things like the total amount of encounters the party is likely to see between long rests. PC death can occur. That being said, I do not run a DM vs. PC game and will not be trying to purposefully kill your characters or "win" encounters. A death will usually rooted in player agency/choice if it happens.
- I enjoy running a fairly RAW game. Most characteNPC abilities, spells, etc. will be ruled RAW or in line with Sage Advice. However, there are a few house rules like more impactful crits, +1/+2 flanking, bonus action potions, and standing from prone AoO.
My expectations for players:
- No Lone Wolves. D&D is a team game and I expect players to play with the party, not separate from it or against it. That includes no PVP, no stealing from other players, or other undue antagonism. Players will be expected to create a character that can work with other characters.
- No Hate Speech. Racism, sexism, phobia, etc are not allowed in any form and will not be tolerated. Mature themes will be present in-game, but do not represent anything out-of-game.
- No Sexual/Inappropriate Behavior. Some sexual themes (I.E. brothels, prostitution, etc.) will be present as part of the world and your characters can explore romantic relationships with each other or NPCs, but nothing explicitly sexual will be described. Trigger themes like rape, sexual violence/harassment, etc. will not be present or tolerated.
- Attendance. We run weekly and I expect players to make it to 75% of sessions (to the best of their ability). Life does happen though, so it's expected that we will have occasional absences or session delays and it's generally nbd as long as there is some heads up.
If you're interested, leave a comment here and I'll DM you. I will be talking with prospective new players via discord and choosing whoever seems like they'll fit best.
Thanks!
