2023.03.21 11:22 twelvepoodles XiaoMi Note 10 Pro or Google Pixel 6A (suggestions welcome)
Hey all,
I'm looking for a business phone for my ecommerce store. I'm looking for a simple interface hopefully.
I will need to make calls, don't want the phone overheat on Tiktok livestreams and in general..
Will need to use whatsapp, shopee, tiktok, lazada, camera(just be clear)
Note 10 pro is almost $100 cheaper but I heard that the note 10 pro has some issues with proximity during calls.
I do like the pixel interface but the battery last shorter? (4410MAH vs xiaomi 5000)
Between both which will be a better phone looking at the overheating issues and what I need it for
Thank u!

2023.03.21 11:21 dogs-and-snacks I like killing spiders and bees
Important to note, I was raised in the 90’s. This was before it was public knowledge to not hurt bees and that bee population was declining. At least to me.
Anyways I’ve always been afraid of both. I don’t give a fuck that I’m big and they’re small, anything that flies and stings, anything that moves in complete silence whilst having eight legs and a potentially toxic bite, is a danger or nuisance to me, my health, my behavior, my environment, my day, etc.
So logically as a kid I’d kill them. And I never stopped. I never thought to myself I should trap this piece of shit in a Tupperware container. I hear people complain that spiders come in my home because they’re cold. Then why the fuck would I let them back outside?
As far as bees, I know I’m doing a bad thing. My coworkers get angry with me when I kill a bee. But, and this is the crux of the unpopular opinion, I straight up do not give a fuck. I don’t care if a honey bee, a queen, a worker bee, a hornet, a wasp, it doesn’t matter. If it buzzes in my face it dies. I kill them emphatically and I can’t wait to squash the next spider under my foot or spray the next bee with whatever product is within reach. Good day to you all.

For those who recently were hired at Walgreens with a sign on bonus, when did you receive it? My husband started working in January and still didn’t receive it. Also, they tried saying it was for 50 and not 75. His offer letter clearly stated 75 so that part was fixed. It’s been 6 weeks since it was fixed and electronically signed a form and about 8-9 weeks since he started working for them.

2023.03.21 11:19 lublinj2 Day 23
I don’t think I’ve felt physically this good since the last half of my senior year of highschool, and I’m 32 almost 33. My lungs don’t hurt anymore from non stop concentrate use and vapes. My endurance physically is superhuman compared to when I was using thc. I suppose a combo of lack of sedation allowing me to workout the way I did when I was 18, and also lungs have cleared up massively even in just over 3 weeks. My brain; holy fucking shit. Totally forgot I honestly had one of those!! I used to be unable to remember literally anything. I’d go to make coffee, and walk away from the keurig empty handed because I forgot why i came to the kitchen in the first place. Setting reminders for EVERYTHING, writing 2-3 pages a day of notes for a job I’ve been doing pretty much since college.
It’s insane how taking this substance away has turned me into what feels like some kind of a super hero. I’m interested in so many things again, which I had largely ignored previously. I haven’t felt this good in years, between binge drinking and then normal /heavyish drinking, with endless thc use mixed in, and then just thc. I even vaped nicotine for like idk a year maybe slightly less, and quit that cold turkey too. I suppose through the process of maturing from a college freshman to a professional, I have learned that I can do pretty much anything that I put my mind to (sorry time travel, not just yet), and that nothing can get in my way. I quit drinking cold turkey after an incident in 2019 where thankfully no one got hurt but it was a massive eye opener. I quit nicotine vaping by flinging my vape out the window on the interstate and never looking back. I quit thc by smoking 1 last time when I woulda had to re up, and simply just didn’t get more.
I realize now that I am a special kinda person that I can just quit. Not everyone can cold turkey; and that’s ok. But if you really want to quit, it may take some work, and it will be hard, at least for 2-3 days while you adjust to your new homeostasis sans thc. But I promise if you want to quit, you will. Just look at me.

2023.03.21 11:19 brujah88 [FIX?] Missing Enhanced Wolven Trousers. Finally figured out solution.
I've seen numerous " missing Wolven Enhanced Trousers" around the web. This was my solution (dumb find. Lol).
- Search completed quests. See if your missing a part of the "Scavenger hunt Wolf school" (I was missing only "Part 2" of 6)
- Went to blacksmith in Lindenvale, Bought 2 papers marked with "!". One was, I think, "a torn note" & the other "Adalbert Kermith's fourth map". Find in inventory & read, should mark map.
- I already search the location for Wolf Mark & chest in the water before when trying to find a fix. So my game might have been glitched. Cuz all I did was fast travel to Kaer Morhen - Lakeside hut.... And as soon as it loaded, I used Witcher vision cuz a enemy was close, and it completed the quest😆.
- Back to Velen & made my Wolven Enhanced Trousers!
Hope that helps/remedies the Wolven great problems.

2023.03.21 11:17 jonnyfiftka LG fridge GBB61PZGCN1 freezer does not freeze enough
| Hello, I would like to ask an opinion if this fridge freezer behaviour is really normal, or something is wrong. I complained to LG support that my food is half melted when I remove It from the freezer and there is gradual frost build up on the food. I also provided the temperature curve, which I am adding also here. (note the thermometer was in between food and I checked also the other drawers and the situation was the same). The fridge is 3 months old and behave like that from the beginning. Freezer is filled from 2/3. When the freezer was almost empty the temperature rised to +5°C , +6°C and the alarm started to ring. LG send a technician who exchanged the defrost sensor and when I complained again, they said that this is normal behaviour of fridge with defrost cycle. So I am looking for other opinion, because I do not find normal, that the average temperature of the freezer is -8°C. I do understand that there is a defrost cycle, but I do not think that the temperture inside freezer should move from -17°C to +1°C every 7h. Does anyone have experience with this and could provide advice, so I can again pressure the LG support to fix It? https://preview.redd.it/nejpodnzi2pa1.png?width=1173&format=png&auto=webp&s=295e713e96616d3eb6d9bbd1e00175c37bed67b4 submitted by jonnyfiftka to Appliances [link] [comments] |
2023.03.21 11:17 1JimboJones1 How to receive letters or post cards in Vietnam?
I am living in Hanoi for 5-6 Months. Some friends wanted to send me postcards but I have no idea how the post system works here. I do have an address but technically its the shop next door since my apartment is a side entrance behind a rolling gate (typical Hanoi old quarter house). No door bell, no name tags, no letter box.
Apparently my friends could somehow write a phone number on the letter, so that it can arrive? I don't speak Vietnamese close to good enough to speak to a delivery person either. Does anyone have experience with this?

2023.03.21 11:15 cotocoo Rehoming - two year old pup
My husband and I are in need of rehoming our dog Benny (Benito). We are looking for a forever home for him.
Benny was born Oct. 5th, 2021, at a small pig farm in Colima, Mexico. His mother is a rescued mutt and father, we are unsure. He is a healthy neutered male with a lot of energy. He won't get any bigger and currently weighs about 35 lbs.
The ideal forever home would have the following characteristics: - loving dog parent(s) - Dog parent(s) who love to walk, run and/or hikes - Frequently - someone with patience and time - large back yard (fenced preferably)/farm possibly - no other animals, especially no small animals. - commitment to dog life long updates
A little bit more about Benny: - He's leash trained. Went to boarding school for two months. Was trained with German collar. - Knows commands like sit, stay, come, down, paw, and cage. Sometimes too excited to follow them. Potty trained as well. - Friendly, but very curious, anxious and sometimes other dogs make him uncomfortable. Not the best with small dogs. - Does not have experience with or around children. - Some behavioral issues - loves to sleep in bed but also likes the floor - Is very loving, loyal and unconditional. - Likes to play fetch, but bad at sharing. - Loves belly rubs, pets, shadows and lots of attention
My husband and I will be traveling up to Whatcom county at the end of the month (March) please message me if you are interested.
Please note: Rehoming fee applies. Serious inquiry only.

2023.03.21 11:15 Bouncer214 A perfect server instance where everything works. It existed. I was on it.
No snark. This is a little long, you have been warned.
This is both a player report (that maybe somebody will see), and a tale of heartbreak. So yesterday mid afternoon (CET) after a 30k, I logged in to a US server with about a 120ms response time. Player FPS was a solid 60 and Server FPS was a solid 30. Niiiiice. There were 11 people on the server at first. I'm guessing the server instance was recently restarted.
Simply put, everything worked. And I do mean everything. Elevators, doors, ASOP terminals (retrieval, claiming and storage were nearly instantaneous a delay at most of less than three seconds), commodity terminals (both buying and selling (again very quick)) inventory management, player actions like eating, ship management, station comms, seat entry and exit (to include the mini-cutscene of entering/exiting), chat (although I was the only one who said anything for maybe 20 mins) etc etc.
I was amazed, gobsmacked. Looking around with wondrous eyes while also mentally noting everything and trying everything I could think to try. I immediately took a vulture and went and found an awesome 21 boxes of material via some panels. And sold it. Easily. While salvaging, I got jumped once by an NPC pirate and killed them in the vulture. And of course I scrapped them too! I bought a stealth drive for my cutter and QT'd from Crusader to NB, and then bought something there, then QT'd to Area 18, and bought something there and mounted it on the ship, then QT'd back to Crusader.
A-maz-ing. The entire experience was amazing. NPCs were walking around and there were conversations occurring, the places I visited felt alive and populated, the shuttles and trains were all working perfectly.
Eventually a person on my friend list also joined, and they also were amazed. Just stunned that there were no issues at all. Period, full stop. If this is what the game will be when all is running correctly it's going to be fantastic. Just fantastic. And then someone else joined and we all agreed no one could ask how the server or SC was behaving, because NO JINXS!
You don't tempt fate when it hands you a solid gold environment to play in.
So slowly more people started to join the server... and performance began to degrade a bit. At around 20 to 23 people we started to see more glitches and more memory leaks and you could *feel* the server degrading. The Server FPS started to drop as well. The audio from the repeating ads became sort of disjointed/clipped, as if two things were playing, one very slightly behind the other. ATC stopped communicating actual sound or started communicating the departure script before we asked for clearance or was clipped. Shuttles started getting spooky, either not appearing or appearing all at once a short distance from the station. Inventory started to slow down in response, as did terminals, going to a 8 second response time on any interaction. Eventually I logged off for the day. When I did server FPS was down to around 18-23 avg.
So here's the heartbreaking part. When it works, when the player count is pretty low, the experience is second to none. The downside of course is that the whole point of SC is to be multi-player. I don't know how CIG will address the scaling problems. I'd hope that maybe by trying to localize servers to specific areas within Stanton so a player in Crusader isn't having to get positional updates and teleport messages about a player in Hurston. That's both bandwidth intensive and DB intensive, and if all the DBs are cross communicating constantly.. oof. Full server meshing sounds nice, but it might be better to take a meshing within a hierarchy approach (if they're not). So the Crusader servers are all meshed, but comms between a server for Crusader and a server for NB goes through some master cross-connect servers.
In any case, there is hope on the horizon. There really is.

B. Finance Paths. There are toooons of possibilities in here and would like to hear more. Investment banking, equity investment, property management, etc.
C. Going out of finance. I do not hate finance, but I also want to learn more about functions beyond it, particulary marketing and supply. My main concern is the transition. Accounting is a finance heavy program and I do realize that the only way for companies to filter is through school/programs/past experiences.
Btw, my main goal in pursuing a career is learning about business operation and the market. I actually initially enrolled in an accountancy program because I heard it's the backbone of business and there are numbers of opportunity afterwards.
Note: I am open for criticism. Please do enlighten me if I am approaching career decisions with a naive/childish mindset.
I would sincerely like to hear your thoughts and own experiences and I would be grateful for any piece of helpful advice. 🙏
