Headed to Chicago on July 1-3 for my bday. Any recommendations on a speakeasy that plays good music (hip-hop, pop, top 40, etc.) and where I can reserve a table for a group of around 6-10 people? Ive been socially transitioning for about 6 months now. Starting hrt next month. I actually decided to delay it cause of a trip and I thought I needed more time to reflect. I also had a lot going on (uni, work, getting married).
One thing I noticed when I started to dress up was that I was being hyper feminine. I've read about this. Its an overcompensation for all time we couldnt express it. I wanted to wear cute petite clothes, silky fabrics and short skirts. I'm tall, like 186cm. So as cute as I felt, I probably looked ridiculous.
I started to wonder if their was authenticity here, or was it all just a fantasy and wanting to become something I wasn't. I battled with this for a few months before it hit me one day when I was at the gym. I was trying to become my fantasy that has always in my head, not who I actually was. I wasn't trying to become the girl version of me, I was trying to become someone else.
I'm still trying to find her, my authentic self, but I'm getting closer. Instead of tight pencil skirts and undersized clothing I'm looking into leather jackets and punk aesthetics. It feels right. I'm covered in what people would call metal style tattoos. I tried to deny them when I came out, saying they weren't me, but they are.
I'd like to hear about other peoples experiences on finding their authentic self. Did it take you long? How similar or different was it from your past self? I for one, did not expect my female self to just be a more edgy cooler version of me but with tits.

I 24f have a friend 24f we'll call her May. who I have been friends with for nearly 6 years. We recently got much closer in the past 2 years. And during this time I've found she has a case of undiagnosed chronic victimitis.
Start with the recent years leading up to this post. Amber has been in an abusive marriage for the past 2 years. Her husband 28m, Jon had multiple domestics that May was aware of before becoming involved with him. May already had a 3 year old daughter at this point, but that did not seem to bother her. They got married in the first 3 months of dating. When May's daughter's dads side of the family found out they immediately took custody. May could not understand why they would do such a thing. She got pregnant during their marriage with a son. 6 months now.
May just recently filed for divorced. I was and still am proud of her. I sympathize with her despite her putting her daughter in dangerous and questionable situations, I fully believe that John was abusing her. Since her filing for divorce she has not skipped a beat with drinking with strange men & spending the night at their houses. While I don't necessarily judge her for it, it's been concerning because she complains that they take advantage of her, I tell her to stop drinking & to take more time to get to know people before spending the night but to no avail. This is pretty much how it was before she got married. I don't necessarily expect her to change over night, just because I'm giving her advice.
Wendy (33 F) (Mays stepmom) has been more of mother to May than her own mother. They're very close and Wendy has always supported her with open arms despite anything May is going through. Wendy recently got back together with Mays dad, who is not the greatest and May has expressed to me how displeased she is that she is not receiving as much attention from Wendy now that's she's gotten back together with him. & how she thinks Wendy is stupid for being with someone who doesn't treat her well (ironic).
In the days leading up to our disagreement May asked Wendy to watch her son And of course Wendy agreed to. When Amber went out with her friend, that friend had previously had relations with Wendy's 1st ex husband/father of Mays stepbrother from her first marriage and they ended up going on his boat. From what May told me she had been flirting with Wendy's ex husband all night in front of her friend who had been involved with him. Which pissed her friend off and she ended up going home. What does May decide is the best thing to do in that situation? She starts kissing him and spends the night at his house. While Wendy ended up watching her son ALL NIGHT. She claims they didn't go all the way but I have my suspicions. I told her that she was wrong for doing that, she lost my trust, & if she ever got pregnant by him, her children would have brother cousins. May says I'm not nice for "taking something she confided in me with while she was vulnerable and throwing it in her face" AITA or WHAT?

I hit a low 10 months ago. I came out of a neurological rehab which had worn me out completely. I was on 1500 steps per day.
I've been steadily recovering since and I'm now on 3200 steps/day. I started Ivabradine 6 months ago which really helped my mobility.
Today I'm hunting for some good television to watch, so I don't do too much. Things have really turned around. I'm forcing myself to stop and rest instead of forcing myself to roll over every half an hour!

There are lots of threads about film scanners so I'm not going to ask for comparisons. At the moment in my local area there are two comparably priced scanners for sale (secondhand). One is Epson V700 and the other is CS9000f.
My question is around connecting these to an ipad. I'm not a big mac user and I actually don't really get on with the ipad but it's what I've got to hand so I'm wondering if it's possible for one of these scanners to be connected to it? Noting that it's one of those ipads with only the charging port and nothing else (ipad pro 5th gen. Software version 15.6.1)
I do have a really old macbook air (I think 2011) but it's a trojan horse of a thing. That's a backup that might be useful too...?
Any thoughts on what film scanners might work with an ipad, if not the V700 or CS9000f? This will help me decide with one (if any) of these scanners to buy.

I'm watching a video on using Maclaurin series for limits, but I don't understand one thing. Say I'm supposed to find a limit of a function where the denominator is (ln(1+x))^6 with Maclaurin series. Say I only need one term and then a remainder. With Maclaurin series you get (x+B(x)x^2)^6 for (ln(1+x))^6, where B(x) is the remainder. When you expand it the video says you get x^6+B(x)x^7.
How do you expand it to the power of 6?

Last year, I began a video project to review every single M:tG preconstructed deck from a main expansion set from Tempest to Eldritch Moon.
Why? Because a) I miss the old 60-card intro decks when a new set is released, b) a lot of players got into the game thanks to a humble theme/intro deck, and I felt like they deserved more respect! And c) I was kinda bored and thought why not, seems like a niche to talk about janky 90s/00s/10s M:tG decks.

Am I a M:tG expert or historian in any way? No! I'm just a crusty old casual player who really liked these old precon decks and wanted to make videos where I put on rose-tinted glasses and ramble unscripted for 15-20 minutes a pop.
If that appeals to you (you sicko), then I hope you find some time to take a look at my content. There's a new video every day, and I fully intend to commit to go all the way up to Eldritch Moon, and probably beyond that into Planeswalker decks and Duel decks.

I’ve thought about this many times, just in case, and here’s my plan:
1-Phones will be working for just a few hours, maybe minutes, so use them wisely. Surviving alone will be impossible, so find a few trustworthy friends to live with, maybe one is enough. Among these people there should be some female friends because one day the ultimate goal will be to keep the human species alive.
2-Take my mom’s car, which is an automatic so I should be able to drive, and go pick these people up. During this first trip to town I should also go to get some fuel tanks and fill them up, and most importantly start getting food.
3-Find a source of food: in the first few days me and the people I’m living with will focus on getting as much food as we can from the supermarkets. However it will eventually run out, so we have to figure out a way to grow crops and hunt animals. Since I live in the countryside this shouldn’t be too hard, but still not easy at all.
4-Find a source of energy: a generator might work for the first weeks, but we’ll run out of fuel. We could get some solar panels but they’re difficult to set up, so the best option would be to get used to living without electricity.
5-Find a source of water: after we’ve run out of the water from the bottles we could find, the best option would be to find a clean river and go on regular trips to get water from there
6-Get whatever could be useful: the first few days are crucial not only for the food and resources, but also for everything that we might need. Tools and weapons are the most important items we will probably need
7-Try to survive for the first 10-15 years: after that most kids will have probably died and most teenagers will have probably become adults. Survivors will start to go back to the cities and start meeting each other to try to decide what to do. The strongest people will try to form some sort of governments to rule on the communities, but in many places there will be revolutions and chaos
8-Ultimately some communities will survive and start to form some sort of society with the knowledge they have, they will start having kids and after many generations there will be a new human civilisation based on what they found on books

let's acknowledge that Infinity Edge swap into a mythic is a complete failure, all that it gives are stats, no passive, no active, nothing .
just 70 ad , 20% crit , 35% crit damage, and 5 ad only per mythic, it's not fun at all and unsatisfying given that it's supposed to be the ADC iconic item, I'm sure that some will say that it's designed to be like this, and it fits adc playstyle of being damage machines, well theoretically that can work, but realistically the item is not even worth a mythic slot, not even crit adcs are buying it, not even Yasuo and Yone who have double crit chance.
apart from Tristana you can look into every single adc and see their highest winrate builds with a considerable pick rate, none of them has IE as the best mythic
you can pick any random adc except Tristana and see their best performing mythic, it's never gonna be IE
jhin ? (he has crit scaling in passive and R) ...nope his best mythic is Galeforce followed by Ghostblde
Miss Fortune ? (she has crit in her Q, and R) also not ...Ghostblade
Twitch? (he always used to build it before the change) Rageblade has way higher pick rate IE not even close
what about Draven ? this might be the closest that IE can get to be the best mythic, but still Ghostblade is better by a small margin

IE needs either to be reverted to Legendary, or a complete rework with a meaningful passive or active, for example they can give it an active that amplifies all damage by 3-7% and gives 3-6% move speed until out of combat (90 sec cooldown) , or any other type of change that encourages adcs to build it.

The goal this offseason is simple, building a roster to win next season. There could be multiple ways to do that, but here is one possible option:

• Re-Sign Draymond 4/90

It’s a fair deal and he’s a massive part of what we do here. Enough said

• Trade JP + Moody + 19 +25,26,27 2nd for DFS + Dinwiddie

Im not doing these terrible Poole deals for these middling role players like Olynyk or these huge risks like Isaac. If the goal is salary dumping then you trade the older and bigger salary, no one dumps 24 year olds. I’m either going all out for a star, or I’m grabbing 2 role players, one of which is an elite role player who I think could start on a lot of contenders. I think this is a pretty good win for both sides. The Nets can’t tank, so the best thing they can do right now is to retool while getting younger. The Nets need scoring, and Poole is a more than capable #2 option behind Bridges and an upgrade over Dinwiddie but you need to surround him with great defense. Do Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Royce O’Neale, and Claxton sound like good defenders? I sure think so. Meanwhile we get another great defensive wing and a good Poole replacement. Now the Nets may be valuing DFS at 3 firsts, but since he’s 30 years old I’ll value him at around 2. Again I do think JP is a Dinwiddie upgrade, especially for the Nets. I think Moody and 3 seconds will make up the difference, if not we can swap out a few seconds for a future first.
Then I’d like to sign a spacing big, I’ll go with what looks to be this sub’s dream choice in Dario Saric.
I’ll also sign Serge Ibaka. Not because I want to play him, but to use him in certain matchups like Jokic for some post physicality and a couple fouls. Won’t hurt. Could also sign Dwight instead but he seems to embrace Taiwan right now (LOL).
This leaves us with 1 more signing, and since we now have 3 non-Dray bigs and Wiggins, Kuminga, GP2, AND DFS for defense, I think it’s obvious we go emergency point guard. I personally would like a vet like Goran, but because it’s a guy who barely plays I’ll go Ty Jerome. I personally do not think he’s good, but he’s on Kerr’s good side and for the most part should be a garbage time player.
This leaves us with:
PG: Steph SG: Klay SF: Wiggins PF: Dray C: Looney
Dinwiddie GP2 DFS Kuminga Dario Saric
PBJ Rollins Jerome Serge Ibaka
And 3 2 ways.
This to me looks like we’re not actually downgrading our team for the sake of moving Poole, but spreading out the talent among multiple positions.
