This post solves 98% of "what software do I use" questions.

There are key steps you need to take before you reply if you want help. Especially the last sentence.

THREE THINGS YOU HAVE TO KNOW.

These three things are crucial (spoiler tag to make you read):
  1. Footage type (See below)
  2. Hardware/System specs. Just saying "HD or 4k" doesn't help
  3. Even if you don't want something "fancy", you still need to read this.
  4. IF YOU DO NOT START YOUR REPLY with the proper format, you won't get a response.

If you get to the end of this post and you need more, check there first.
For example, MOBILE EDITING SOLUTIONS are in the wiki. Nobody is an expert on all of the tools.
Trying it with your system and footage is the best way to work.

1 - Footage type. Know what you're cutting.

FOOTAGE TYPE AFFECTS playback. READ THAT AGAIN. The compression type is key.
Action cam, Mobile phone, and screen recordings can be difficult to edit, due to h264/5 material (especially 1080p60 or 4k) and Variable Frame Rate issues..
AGAIN: Footage types like 1080p60, 4k (any frame rate) are going to stress your system.
When your system struggles, the way that the professional industry has handled this for decades is to use Proxies. Proxies are a copy of your media in a lower resolution and possibly a "friendlier" codec.
A proxy workflow more than any other feature, is what makes editing high frame rate, 4k oand h264/5 footage possible. It is important to know if your software has this capability.

2- Key Hardware suggestions:

The suggested hardware minimums for the "average" user
Can other hardware work? Certainly - but may not necessarily provide a great experience.
GPUS do not help with the codec/playback of media but do help with visual effects.

3- I Just need something simple. I don't need all those effects.

Sadly, having super easy-to-use software means engineering teams*.*
iMovie came with your Mac and is by far the easiest-to-use editor for either platform.
There isn't a lightweight, easy-to-use free/inexpensive editor that we'd recommend for Windows the way we recommend iMovie. We wish iMovie was available for windows. The closest we've seen on windows is Olive editor (open source)

Shutter Encoder is a free, cross-platform compression tool. It's a GUI front end to FFMPEG (a command-line utility.) It does more than handbrake, our prior favorite.
Lossless cut is an excellent tool to "snip" out a section of what you downloaded. Shutter does this too, but Lossless is a little easier.

My idea comes from the Mods confirming through each blog and Q&A video that Sailing will not be instanced in any form, but then I began to wonder "If this isn't instanced, how can they prevent a level 1 Sailor on a raft from going into the middle of the ocean?"
Which is where I came up with the idea for "Sea Zones" the basic premise is that the farther from the mainland that the player goes, the more difficult the ocean currents become. Therefore requiring larger and more seaworthy ships, as what occurred in real life. Major sailing expeditions did not begin until the ships became more sea worthy. However, the sea zones also represent danger from pirates and sea creatures, not just the dangers of the sea itself ie. larger waves and choppier waters.

TL;DR - Look at my map above, the minimum level unlocks the zone the max level is more of a "I would expect to see this level in this region grinding xp before moving on." Pirate Zones are PvP enabled areas, and open up content from higher level zones earlier and increased xp/hr creating a risk vs. reward system. They are also supposed to make travel more inconvenient as you try to decide if its worth navigating through the area to save time. The Pirate Zones also spawn more deadly versions of enemies and has at least 1 world type boss inhabiting them.

Please note that the "levels" I assign to each area, are representative of when the zone unlocks and the top end level I would expect for players to occasionally stick around. Similar to current game skills such as woodcutting - its not unusual to see someone with 60 woodcutting still cutting Maples before moving onto something else.
The sea zones are as listed:
  1. Levels 1 - 40 (Light Blue) - This area encompasses the entirety of what I am calling "The Inland Sea". Similar to the real life Mediterranean, this area would allow sailors to find their feet and begin learning how to sail on smaller vessels (rafts, row boats, Trimenes, Barques) before venturing out further from shore. You could expect to fight back Sea Slugs, low level Pirates, Mogres, and angry Tribesman from the Kharazi Jungle.
  2. Levels 35 - 55 (Dark Blue) - This area, The Menaphite Coast, is similar in difficulty of The Inland Sea, however the enemies have increased in strength as they raid your ship carrying valuable spices from Menaphos and Sophanem. and ancient artifacts from your raids on the ancient cities on the coast. You can expect to fight Menaphite Pirates, Menaphite Authorities, Giant sea turtles, Crocodiles etc.
  3. Levels 50 - 75 (Light Green) - Encompassing everything from the Fremmennik Sea to the Sea of Souls, the sea has become much more dangerous. The waves and obstacles are larger and more daunting, and the enemies have become more fearsome. You would be fighting Dagganoths, Elven Pirates, baby sea Krakens, Fremmennik Raiders, Sea Snakelings and Angry Souls.
  4. Levels 70 - 85 (Light Orange) - The zone covers the Morytania coast and Mos Le'Harmless. The waters are similar to the 50 - 75 Zone, however the raiders are much tougher and the loot even greater. This area you can expect to fight Vampyres on Patrol, Tougher Pirates, Sea Horrors (similar to Jungle Horrors), Zombie Pirates, Ghost Pirates, and the occasional Eastern War Party.
  5. Levels 80 - 90 (Red) - The first of the larger lumped areas, this area is when the player will truly begin to experience sailing farther away from the shorelines. The waters will be much choppier, winds more devastating, and enemies more fearsome. You can expect to fight larger adult Sea Krakens (Tougher than the current Kraken ingame), Pirates from Kourend, Mystifying magickal charms from Lunar Isle, Ninja Monkey Pirates, Gnome Pirates, Pest Control monsters and other sea creatures.
  6. Levels 85 - 92 (Light Gray) - This area will introduce Ice berg type obstacles, and begins to finally allow the player to explore farther north into the Penguins territory. The creatures fought will include Penguins, a new type of Lizardmen bred specifically for water warfare, weak Cthulu esque creatures, Ice Spirits, and WateIce Wyverns. Then the Western half you can expect to fight Tougher Zombie Pirates, a new type of water fossil creatures, tougher Eastern Raiding Parties, Weak Cthulu type creatures, and the occasional Cultist ship dedicated to worshipping... The Dragonkin?
  7. Levels 90 - 95 (Light Purpleish?) - This area will begin to explore more Dragonkin type isles, tips of Acheron, more Penguin bases, tougher Cthulu esque monster nests, small isles settled by Eastern Land settlers, and Varlamore settlements. On the West side you will fight Cthulu esque monsters, Larger Adult Krakens, Varlamore Pirates, and mysterious sea creatures. On the North, you can expect more penguin raids, and a mysterious group of Northmen who never left Acheron. On the East you can expect to begin fighting Eastern Land military patrols, giant sharks, tougher Cthulu esque enemies, Weak portions of Xau Tak, tougher Dragonkin cultists and more dangerous sea creatures.
  8. Levels 95 - 99 (Maroon) - This represents the farthest and most dangerous regions of the Gielinor Sea. Here you will find in greater abundance the influence of Xau Tak the true Horror of the Deep, as well as uncovering the secrets of the last remaining Dragonkin and their cabal of worshippers. The Eastern Lands are still unreachable, however, you will begin to see signs of their presence as pirate raids have become non-existent and an eerie since of order envelopes the region. Here you encounter World Bosses, Stronger versions of Xau Taks tentacles inching their way into our world, tougher Eastern Land military patrols, and a more organized Dragonkin Cult navy.

The Pirate Waters on the map add variety to players who choose to increase their risk in order to obtain better loot from higher tier zones earlier, and wish to gain an increased xp/hr.
For Example - The area with the most xp/hr from level 1 - 60 could be The Pirate Zone around the Wilderness. However, in exchange not only do you have to worry about players blowing your raft out of the water, the zone would contain much tougher enemies who patrol the region, as well as tougher waves, winds, more obstacles etc. All these things will likely end in your death, but is the increased reward worth the risk?
I tried to put the pirate zones within only 1 sea zone, then take off 5 - 10 required levels to roughly match the lower level adjacent sea zone so that players can enter them early. This will allow players to obtain content rewards earlier, which would increase their gp/hr as well as add some increased variety in location for their training. The NPCs will mainly be those from the sea zone that the Pirate Waters intersects.
For Example - The Level 85 - 95 Pirate Waters (North West part of the map) would be populated by NPCs from the Level 90 - 95 Sea Zone.
PvP could work based on Sailing level instead of combat level, this way players with a Galleon sized ship doesnt return to the Wilderness Pirate Waters and blow some poor noob on a raft out of the water. I would say a static 15 - 20 level difference between the two players be the max difference allowed for combat to occur. Or perhaps it could be based on ship type instead, where a player with level 99 Sailing could still board a raft and fight a level 1 Sailor in the Wilderness Pirate Waters.

I think it would be easier to hate him if he had just left me alone after he did it. But he never did. He would hold me. Crying, stroking my hair, wiping my tears. Always saying stuff like "I'm a horrible person. I don't know what's wrong with me. God forgive me. I love you. I should just kill myself." I was only 9 years old. I'm not sure what he wanted me to say to that. Especially when I was hurting so bad. I didn't have it in me to do anything else right after but lay there looking up at the cracks at the corner of my ceiling.
But here's the worst part: when I finally felt like I could breathe again, when I finally came back down to my body, I would always tell him it's okay and that it doesn't hurt so bad. I don't know why I always comforted him. I just felt bad he was so messed up inside and I didn't want him to hurt himself. Sometimes I felt like he couldn't help himself.
He would be nice to me for a while. But then he would do it again. It always went like that. He hurt me, he cried and apologized, I comforted him, he was nice to me, and then it happened again.
But I loved it when he was nice. He was the only one who was nice to me then. When my mom was gone most of the time and it was just him at home. He bought me a tinkerbell table set. And he took me for ice cream nearly every weekend. He listened to my stories. He cooked the best barbecue dinners. He taught me how to shoot a bb gun, he bought me silly band bracelets, and he set off fireworks with me on the 4th of July. I feel guilty because I think one of the reasons I never told on him was because it was worth it to me. So what if he hurt me sometimes? The way I saw it, the pain was a fair trade-off for kindness. I figured it was the best I would get. There are many reasons why i never told on him but I think that's the one I hate myself for the most.

2023.04.01 10:45 jgyg ATV4K with Samsung Q80B 2022

I have a Samsung Q80B 2022 connected to S800B sound bar via ARC. Recently I have an issue with my ATV4K 2022. When I play any content (doesn’t matter if it is from Netflix, Disney Plus or Apple TV +) that is in 5.1, I don’t get 5.1 and the volume is very low. I don’t have such issue if the content is ATMOS.
The only way i can get ATV4K is to change format to 5.1 manually but I will loose Atmos unless i keep changing back and forth which is quite inconvenient.
Anyone with similar setup pr better yet a solution?
Note: that my sound bar does not have any HDMI out. Just one HDMI IN. No other ports.
Also, I don’t have face such issue with Google Chromecast with Google TV or playing from the APP directly on the TV.

Hancock speculates that an advanced ice age civilization was destroyed in a cataclysm, but that its survivors passed on their knowledge to hunter-gatherers, giving rise to the earliest known civilizations of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Mesoamerica.[5][6]
Born in Edinburgh, Hancock studied sociology at Durham University before working as a journalist, writing for a number of British newspapers and magazines. His first three books dealt with international development, including Lords of Poverty (1989), a well-received critique of corruption in the aid system. Beginning with The Sign and the Seal in 1992, he shifted focus to speculative accounts of human prehistory and ancient civilisations, on which he has written a dozen books, most notably Fingerprints of the Gods and Magicians of the Gods. His ideas have been the subject of several films, including the Netflix series Ancient Apocalypse (2022), and Hancock makes regular appearances on the podcast The Joe Rogan Experience to discuss them. He has also written two fantasy novels and in 2013 delivered a controversial TEDx talk promoting the use of the psychoactive drink ayahuasca.

2023.04.01 09:34 Fickle_Buy524 I’ve been on a path of failure I feel like I just can’t win and it’s all my fault

24(m) recently just had my birthday—celebrated it in jury duty. (Life is silly) These past few years have been horrible. In 2019 I started a reselling side-hustle to keep up with tuition payments, purchasing Nikes and Yeezys with credit cards and reselling them for profit. It was hard for me to work a physical labor job because I injured my back in 2018 and herniated a disc that still affects me today. Reselling was good money that covered tuition until it didn’t which was in 2021 during Covid when sales slowly declined because everyone was getting into reselling and it became harder and more expensive to maintain the business. I switched over to NFTs and enjoyed doing that because it was art and new tech that interested me. I told myself that if I wasn’t accepted into an internship in my degree field that summer then I would go heavy into NFTs and if that didn’t go well I would do unspeakable things because I recorded an unspeakable voice memo that same year. Of course I failed all my internship interviews and full risked-on NFTs, I had debt from tuition and nothing to lose so I threw myself into it. Fast forward to peak bull market my portfolio of NFTs is worth 400k, did I sell? No. Big mistake, after May 2022 everything started declining and I held thinking everything would go back up again but I didn’t understand the severity of the economy and after paying off debts and tuition (60k) my portfolio is now worth 50k. I graduated with a bachelors degree almost 2 years ago and am currently paying for a masters but that’s only because I’m still unemployed and can’t find a job and hang on to this invisible hope that I’ll actually find a job in my field which I probably won’t because I don’t have any internship experience and that’s my fault because I focused too much on maintaining a business to do anything. Recently my gf of 7 years also left me and I don’t blame her because I’ve been an utter failure for the longest. To put matters even worst I recently tried to file my taxes and talked with an accountant who literally laughed in my face because a transaction on NFTs is a taxable event even though it’s not converted into US dollars so now I have to pay 40k in taxes that I don’t even have. I’m still in NFTs because that’s the only field that’s accepted my work and given me a chance. But I realized I’ve lost all my confidence and it’ll feels like it’ll take years to bring it back. Life just hasn’t been going my way and I don’t think it ever will but I know that mindset will keep me at the bottom. I understand it’s my fault you don’t have to remind me that I’ve lived the wrong way, my accountant already did that for me, my friends who laugh at crypto did that for me, I’ve been the butt of the joke for years. And now it’s just affected me mentally where I’d have hours of doom and gloom and hours of believing I’ll be okay and that everything is okay, I just have strange outbursts like I have now right now and I just wanted to get this off my chest because its almost 4am and I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I kept this inside.

My 2017... I mean 2022 Bingo Card
For this years' bingo card, I decided to challenge myself and complete a card that simultaneously satisfies the 2022 card and the 2017 card. I chose 2017 because 2018 was the first year I attempted bingo, so I had never interacted with that card before. This challenge ended up being exhausting and probably not worth the effort, but I'm proud of myself for seeing it through and it definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone. It took a mix of scouring bingo threads, googling, writing code to search through a goodreads database, and getting aid from the daily recommendation thread to complete this card (thanks to u/SmallFruitbat x2, u/KcirderfSdrawkcab, u/GarrickWinter for recommending some of these books!!). Anyway here's the result of my bingo :)

I don't have it in me to post reviews for all of these books right now, so instead I'll give some awards/highlights:
Favorite Read: She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan
Biggest Pleasant Surprise: Tess of the Road by Rachel Hartman
Best Title: That Book Your Mad Ancestor Wrote by K. J. Bishop
Hardest Squares to Complete: Self-Published/New Weird, 2+Authors/Time Travel, Under-read List/Revolutions, Nonfiction/Standalone (I ended up submitting a different book on the form for piece of mind since there was no way of doing this square with 100% confidence. However, the nonfiction book above incorporates a lot of science fiction elements and was a great read).
Favorite Square: Mental Health/Dragons--I can't explain why but I love this combo
Most Unique: The Vagrant by Peter Newman--the main character never speaks and the author never narrates his thoughts. I ended up getting a little sick of the style after a while so I only rated it 3/5 stars, but it was still a cool experience to read this book and I'd recommend it to others without hesitation.

Hi all! I (24 F) have been taking klonopin for just over two months. I take between 1mg to 1.5 mg daily. I was on 1-3 mg of Ativan previous. In total I have been take benzos since mid December 2022. I have PD and GAD and started suffering from post acute withdrawal from being off of Effexor. My psychiatrist wants me to stay on for a few more month then start to taper… is it worth it? I’m finally stable enough where I am going to start working again next month ideally. I see a therapist and am on buspar as well. Any advice?

Hello everyone, I pulled the trigger on a new build out in Fort Worth, should be finished by end of April. It was a quick move in and they already begin putting up dry wall, anticipated closing is 4/26.
My maintenance guy at my existing rental suggested to get a Hydrostatic test done for the new build, as he's observed some other new properties in Frisco/Plano have plumbing issues that could have been caught with a hydrostatic test
It doesn't seem like the norm for new builds, but I'd like to find out if anyone also thinks it's worth it? I am erring on getting one done in addition to a 3rd party inspector 10-15 days prior to closing for some peace of mind.
Thoughts?

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those do offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of how to use them safely. For these safety reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

These are my notes on the farm system for the casual fan.
AAA - bats
Loftin, Gentry, Garcia are the three batters to watch out for. KC has a nice stable of Short Stops that have flexibility to play a few other positions. Big year for all three to find a way to get up to the majors for anything longer than to replace a player on the 10 day IR. Pratto and Fermin have already seen significant time in the majors. Pratto has to get his K% down and it feels like it's his last year to prove it before we figure out a way to move on for him. And I might be generous at that.Samad Taylor is another piece and would probably see the Majors faster if he wasn't behind Loftin / Garcia. Logan Porter, CJ Alexander, and Tucker Bradley both have talent but not a real pathway to the majors like the others.
AAA - pitchingThere's names that you'll recognize Max Castillo, Josh Staumont, Jackson Kowar, Andres Nunez, Jonathan Heasley. All not making the 26 man lineup for a variety of reasons.Josh Taylor is coming back from Tommy John and might be slowly put back into the Royals 26 man lineup around June/July. Ryan Weiss had a ton of momentum in his final few Spring Training games. Finally there's Evan Sisk who we got from the MAT trade who is older but only 30 innings into playing in AAA.

AAA Overall - I don't expect a ton of players to be promoted to AAA like last year and I don't expect that many players to be sent up (barring injury). Not that it's vital to anyone reading but the team itself will win games based on the fact that you have pitching that is veterans to AAA by now.
Similar to last year Dayton & JJ simply didn't put the Royals in position to have a young arm that is going to crack the rotation from AAA this year.
KC needs to figure out what the long term plan for Jackson Kowar and Jonathan Heasley is. To be frank, there's not one player on this roster that I feel like will be a starting 5 rotation guy. Even with Castillo, I think he's best if he comes back as a Long Relief guy. But could see him starting a couple of games if we need it next year.
AA Pitching - I rank what happens in AA pitching at the top of priorities for the Royals this year. MLB + Minor League. This is almost like a film that the studio decides to be split in two movies, because the truth is that 2023 will likely end with a Cliffhanger for all of these characters at best.
The aftermath of JJ/Dayton blowing up the core of Royals from last offseason involved a swift change to focus on Minor League Bullpen prospects that would mix in with prospects that we already had.
Andrew Hoffman, Steven Cruz (a closer we got from the MAT trade), Beck Way (technically still in A+ getting more SP chances but will likely be a RP once he gets to AA) , TJ Sikkema, Jacob Wallace, Christian Chamberlain, Will Klein, Chandler Champlain are names that you'll hear in AA this year. All of them have the same mission. Increase K% and lower BB%.
KC has Brian Sweeney who did amazing stuff with bullpen pitchers but this should definitely be seen as the first hour of cooking a brisket as many of these players haven't seen much time in AA AND with Q coming from Tampa , they really like to keep pitchers in the Minors until everything is there to come up. There's no speed rushing anyone up to the majors.
From a starting perspective we have Jonathan Bowlan coming back from injury for the first few months. And Alec Marsh, a fan favorite, but had inconsistent stats at times. Bowlan and Marsh are really the two guys I could see called up to AAA at the very least.
The bullpen arms I don't expect any movement up until mid 2024.
AA Bats - Luca Tresh is AAA ready but the Royals probably want him taking reps in AA + work with the pitchers. I could also see Hayden Dunhurst coming up quickly to be here as well. Robbie Glendinning performed really well last year and had a great show of RBIs.
I think there's going to be a ton of call ups to AA.
AA Overall - Andy LaRoche and Larry Carter are in AAA this year. LaRoche was the Quad Cities Hitting Coach and was pretty effective. Larry Carter was actually the bullpen coach in Kansas City last year under Cal Eldred. He's been with the organization for decades and the organization retaining to ship him down to AA shows how much he'll be working on converting prospects into Bullpen pitchers. My guess is that unless a player is somehow magical , everyone will start in Mid-Relief and slowly become a start in this system.
It might not be what he'd want to hear but Robbie Glendinning is a coach's son and a future coach - either in the US or in Australia. He'll be great when some of our 2022 draft picks rise up.
A+ Pitching - Beck Way starts in Quad Cities but I think he'll be moving to AA fairly soon.
Noah Cameron was by far the best stat performer in the Royals Minor League system last year. But we only saw him in A+. Big year incoming for him.Like Noah Cameron, William Fleming (who was the key part of the Carlos Santana trade) was also a player that we traded for that looks surprisingly nice. Low BB rate but could increase his K%. Anthony Simonelli had a solid K/BB rate and could be a sleeper as well.
A+ Batting - Peyton Wilson is a 2nd rounder from Alabama that performed well last year and is in that scrum. There's also River Town who had a great summer last year. Tyler Tolbert is a basestealing machine who can also play defense. I'm mostly curious if we try him out at center field a bit more despite being on the fringe of 6'0.
A+ Overall - I think the biggest part of A+ will some of the college arms we drafted being MOVED UP after 30 or so innings in A ball. Brooks Conrad is returning this season after an impressive season last year.
LOW A Pitching -I think Ben Kudrna, Frank Mozzicato, Shane Panzini stay in A for the year unless we see something wild happen. Jonatan Bernal is a name that should sort of be used in any LOW A conversation with those names. The 20 year old came in the Whit trade and had a very respectable K/BB rate. Should definitely be in that Top 30 MLB prospect conversation. Lucinder Avila is another International Prospect that most people have ahead of Bernal because of arm talent but will also need another year in A.
With the 2022 Draft picks...
Mason Barnett should have a short time in A before going to A+ and maybe even AA. Ben Sears, David Sandlin (strike machine), Chazz Martinez, Brandon Johnson, and Mack Anglin (also looked great) shouldn't spend that much time in A ball. No more than 30 innings each if not fewer.
A Batting - I expect Gavin Cross, Cayden Wallace, and Javier Vaz to be in AA within a very small amount of innings.
That being said it'll be interesting what happens with Top 30 prospects Lizandro Rodriguez and Daniel Vazquez. They'll stay in A for the year, but they are both getting.My guess is that Carter Jensen will stay in A, for no other reason than to improve his catching and worth with the pitchers.
Hayden Dunhurst will likely fly up to AA to stay with the developing bullpen there.
A Overall - I probably haven't done enough homework to tell you who we can bring up from Rookie Ball to fill in the voids for our 2022 draft college arms moving up. The main thing to watch is seeing how well the pitching does and if
OTHER NOTES :
Diego Hernandez , a top 20 Organizational Prospect, is likely to miss the entire season.
Asa Lacy isn't really mentioned in this because I have no idea where Asa Lacy is at. He played in AA last year but also seemed to be dealing with multiple injuries on top of the pitching issues. If anyone has an update on Brennon McNair , I'd love to see how close he is to Columbia. My guess is that he's next up as he just turned 20.
OVERALL MILB:
The big headscratcher is that we have some depth at infield that is sort of "figure out what to do with it ASAP" . Loftin/Garcia/TayloCJ Alexander are all fighting for 1 spot. 3 of them are Top 30 players. 2 are Top 5 players in the Organization. And that spot might disappear in early 2024 if Cayden Wallace has numbers in AA (like I expect him to). My guess is KC might do the opposite of their usual trading strategy and try to package some of those players with our pitchers/veterans to try to get a high ranked prospect. But who knows. It'll suck if Loftin is Brewer Hicklen 2.0.
You never know, but I don't see bats that will breakout that aren't aren't fringe MLB players (Loftin , Garcia , Gentry). What you really want is to say "in 2024 we'll have two starting pitchers to fill in for Grienke / Lyles / Keller / Yarborough." But the truth is that there's no real flight path to getting anything above their current talent level. Even if Bowlan and Marsh look good, they'll be year 1 next year.
This overview is sort of healthy issue to fans wondering what happens if we aren't close to 500 at the deadline.
Obviously it'd be great if KC could somehow get young starting pitching from players that we trade away.
You should always take BPA, but if this is somewhat strategized.
AAA/AA/A+/A - Starting Pitching - This is every franchise in the MLB, but especially us. Our realistic clock on getting a starting rotation arm of high caliber is 2025+.
AAA - Bullpen. We have time before any of the prospects in AA develop into MLB caliber bullpen arms and the odds of all of them developing are still pretty small. We can get by for a year with what we have, but we'll probably need to figure out a way to fill in spots.
AAA/AA Outfield - We'll have Gavin Cross there. I think we probably need to find ourselves a defensive centerfielder in the vein of Kyle Isbel.
AA Catcher - Fermin will probably see some time in the Majors. You'd love to find a Logan Porter type of Catcher that can also play 1st base just so the pitchers have practice.
A/A+ - First Base / DH / Catcher. I think Catchers are valuable in the minors because they help the development of pitchers and can cover up for a ton of their mistakes in terms of winning games.
