overall season: i liked this season. i thought the theme was really interesting, i thought adam was a great winner, and i thought there were some really fun characters. i wasn’t a fan of the legacy advantage because of how secretive it was and no one was aware of it, i wasn’t a huge fan of the advantage itself, but overall it didn’t have a big effect on the game.
specific players:
adam: so i knew going into this that adam would win and it also seemed pretty transparent towards the end of the game. i think he definitely had some messiness in his game, for example i couldn’t believe that he told taylor about his advantage, that was a huge crack for him. but he pulled through and obviously his story was touching. i literally gasped out loud when he said that his mom passed away an hour after he got home. stories like that are crazy, it’s so interesting how we subconsciously control our deaths. she waited for him to get home and that’s amazing.
david: david had the most fascinating story other than adam. i definitely expected him to rise above his insecurities and fears, but i really didn’t expect him to be the huge final 4 threat that everyone respected and wanted out. i was really happy for him. we’ve always had weak players and insecure/shy characters but i related to david’s fear of basically everything. he was a great addition to the season
zeke: he was so entertaining this season, his rise and fall was hilarious and fun, and i’ve already started game changers and i was excited to see him return (although i know something bad will happen soon lol)
figgy/taylor: they were sooooo clueless and annoying sometimes, but this showmance was atleast entertaining. however jeff addressing them at the reunion was so incredibly awkward….
michaela: i know she returns next season and she was definitely an entertaining character for tv but she got on my nerves with her constant negative attitude and moodiness and rudeness to everyone she talks to, she just took everything way too seriously imo.
other notes:

• i’m not a part of either generation, but it was interesting how they picked very stereotypical castaways for each generation. i got frustrated with how cocky the gen x people could be in a superior sort of way, and i also got frustrated with how oblivious and naive the millennials could be.
  
• very interesting that we had an entire evacuation. never seen that before. did they go to ponderosa during the storm? how did production hold off gameplay occurring?
  
• why was jeff asking figgy and taylor about marriage at tribal 🤦🏽‍♀️ he takes it so far
  
• damn, jessica’s rock draw was brutal.
  
• i couldn’t help but feel bad for ken and hannah at FTC, adam clearly had the best performance and pulled on the jury’s heart strings but i could see the sadness and frustration from that in ken and hannah, who both didn’t play horrible games.
  

overall, this was a solid season. i’ll rate it 8/10

i’ll be back after i finish season 34: game changers!

There are so many stories I could share but I’ll stick with the most recent issue that’s coming up this weekend.
My husband and I have been together 24 years, married for 20 of those years. I’ve struggled a lot with his family from the very beginning of our relationship. I’ve bent over backwards for them all these years and they’ve literally used me and abused me. My MIL has never cared about my feeling or needs. Everything revolves around her needs. Never mattered to her how I felt about anything as long as she gets what she wants. My FIL sexually assaulted me for years until my husband finally saw it for himself and put an end to it. I put all these things aside and still wanted them to accept me. I kept my feelings to myself because I didn’t know better. I didn’t want to upset my husband and put him in a bad position. But it just made things worse for myself.
My husband has a hard time standing up to his parents so they inevitably get everything they want from us. I believe 95 percent of the problems in our marriage have to do with his family.
Our oldest is graduating this weekend. We live 2-3 hours from our parents so they a lot of times stay overnight when they visit. It is close enough we’ve made single day trips to visit and our parents have (kinda) done the same. I say kinda because my in-laws don’t really do it because they guilt my husband so he’ll offer them to stay with us. With our sons graduation this weekend I asked my husband what we will do if our parents want to stay overnight because we don’t have the space for all of them. He told me nobody would be staying with us. Well, last night I found out my in-laws thought they’d be staying with us. Only they were trying to manipulate my husband by asking if they’d be staying with us or would they need to get a hotel? I was livid! I told my parents nobody would be staying with us and they were perfectly fine with that. They hadn’t even considered it. I don’t understand why my husband can’t be clear with his parents and just tell them nobody will be staying. And why do the in-laws think it’s necessary to get a hotel?
I know a lot of people will likely think there’s nothing wrong with them staying in a hotel. I should be happy they aren’t staying at my house but for me it means I have to continue hosting until they go back home.
I just needed to vent but any advice is helpful.

I have an overall healthy 3 year old female Australian shepherd. She weighs 45 lbs and is spayed. She is overall healthy, although she has some allergies she gets shots for (and needs again soon).
On Tuesday, she got into my roommates trash and may have eaten some of her wet wipes. She’s still energetic, eating, drinking water, and going to the bathroom, but her bowel movements are not typical. On Wednesday, she had her normal amount of bowel movements on her usual schedule, but with softer stool.
This morning, she did not have a bowel movement at her typical time, but she did about 3 hours later. However, my friend, who is the one that took her out, said my dog was straining to get out a small and hard bowel movement. It’s hot outside, so she then made my friend take her inside immediately.
