I have excessive hair on my body and my cheek areas too. Although I've shaved my uppoer lips and neck areas, I have never shaved my cheeks. My neck areas remain poky and tiny hairs remain after shaving. I have been wanting to shave my cheeks but scared that it will also turn out with poky and tiny hair remains. Is waxing a good option?

Hello all, I am a step mother to 3 wonderful kids ages 8 (almost 9), 7, and 5. I cook very healthy, very seasoned meals, and have tried cooking these meals for the kids multiple times. They’ll take a bite and say they like it, but halfway through say they don’t like it and then will leave their plate after only taking 2-3 bites and then want a snack because, shockingly, they’re still hungry. This really drives me and my partner crazy, because we go through all the effort to cook these meals for them and they refuse to eat it. So, we stopped making it for them and just feeding them stuff they like (fish sticks, fries, pizza, etc) with a side of vegetables and called it a day. We make them their meal, and then make us a healthy meal. However, I really really want to expose them to good food, and teach them to enjoy good foods and not just garbage. But I just hate spending my money and effort on something they’re not going to eat.
Is there any way to combat this? To get them to eat the food I cook? It’s not spicy, it’s just well seasoned and it’s healthy stuff like vegetables and chicken, stir fry, pork chops, green beans, mashed potatoes, etc all from scratch. So it takes a lot of effort… Recently I made chicken stir fry over rice and we gave some to the oldest, and she said she really liked it and wanted us to make it for her. I’m just worried she won’t actually eat it when it comes time, lol. Should I just keep cooking healthy for everyone and leaving them no choice but to eat it? I just want them to enjoy the food, not dread it because it’s healthy. Thanks!

I’m closing in on finishing the first draft of my first book where I have three character arcs, a couple of twists and a climactic ending and it looks like the word count will be just short of 50K. I feel like I have everything I need to make the story work but can’t seem to get the word count any higher and think it might be how I’m writing. An average scene (not chapter) is coming in at about 2000 words with some much less and wanted some advice on how to make scenes longer or what I could do to up the word count (more internal dialogue for example).
Below is a scene that comes in at 788 where we meet one of the main characters for the first time (Nisha) as she overhears some of the antagonist's plans:

It seemed to be about a posh lady having to pretend to be an even posher lady to fit in at a boat race but it was hard to make out over the noise of the kitchen. Somebody yelled at Nisha and she turned away from the TV.
'I can give this to someone else if you want, clearly you don’t need the tips,’ Chef said as he loomed over her in his whites. Speckled with food from a thousand dinners his jacket looked like an edible Jackson Pollock. Nisha was never sure if she should report the jacket to the council or frame it.
She looked at the ceiling. ‘No.'
'Pardon?'
'No Chef.’ Louder this time but still looking up.
'Good, take these.'
She held her breath as she pushed against the swing door that separated Chef’s fiefdom from the rest of the restaurant. She had done it hundreds of times but always expected someone to come the other way. She fixed her smile in the mirror before entering the private dining room. The room was filled with paraphernalia designed to soothe customers with a history that didn’t exist. Smiling sepoys, moustachioed white saviours delivering civilisation from the back of elephants, photos of English ladies in crisp linen teaching the gospel to willing ears.
The only table in the room could seat twenty but tonight only two seats were filled. A woman, facing the kitchen and wearing a bright red suit, and a man sat opposite, his clothes expensive but faded. A few years ago Nisha would have described him as old but now she would say early middle age. She was becoming all too aware that twenty-nine is a lot closer to forty than twenty-one.
'And then what happened?'
'I went down as far as his knuckle and he passed out from the pain.’ The woman's voice was slate, the result of a thousand years of breeding, it was designed to strike fear and respect into the population. The man laughed the laugh of someone who knew the other was buying dinner.
Crisp poppadoms were placed between them and Nisha poured them each a glass of pinot noir. She chanced a smile at the man who didn’t so much as look through her as fail to comprehend her existence. So much for the tips.
'Even if the food isn’t great at least you don’t have to worry about being overheard in a place like this.'

A bag of potatoes was dropped in her arms and Chef turned without waiting for a reply.
'Yes Chef.’
She thought of Chef as she peeled. The posh lady pretending to be a posher lady seemed to be involved in the race now, but Nisha had missed why.

The woman in red ran her finger around the rim of her glass as the man spoke.
'It if does what you say it does…’
Nisha approached with two plates of chicken tikka. The woman flicked her wrist and the man continued. 'Then it will just be a case of finding what triggers it in the body, stomach enzymes for example, and distilling it.'
Nisha topped up their glasses with more wine.
‘I’m glad you’re confident. We have a lot of tissue but I would hate to waste any.’
Nisha spooned steaming rice onto their plates and turned to leave. A hand grabbed her wrist, the woman leaned in and stared. 'Leave the rice.’ Nisha feigned confusion, gave a deep nod and placed the rice on the table with a smile.

She had fallen off the boat. Someone, maybe a friend, was trying to help her get back on board by lowering an oar. Nisha lent against the door frame leading to the alley and felt the warm night air on her back.
'Nisha! I swear to God do some work,'
'Yes Chef.'
She lost her grip and fell back in. Nisha smiled.

Plates hot from the heat lamp burned her hands as she passed into the dining room for the final time. She placed their creme brûlées in front of them and rubbed the heat from her hand onto her skirt while she poured the last of the wine.
'What will you do once you have all that power?' Nisha waited until they had ignored her the correct amount of time to show there was nothing else they needed before backing away.
'I think the issue with it at the moment is it’s spreading everything equally, like most things it needs some discipline, some direction. If we could focus it to benefit a few people, or a person it would be much better.'
'Then everyone would benefit by extension. Rising tides and all that,’ the man said as Nisha stood by the kitchen doors and listened.

I’m pretty lightweight I’m wondering if any bigger people get bad body load? Also kinda off topic but what’s better for gaining healthy weight red meat or like fish and chicken lol.

• Body weight: 49lbs - underweight, recently lost 6lbs
• History: Brought to emergency vet on March 7th due to concerning behavior, followed up with normal vet on the 9th, given medication which he has completed. On March 7th around 2AM, he began excessively licking his lips and seemed uncomfortable. I thought he was going to vomit so I moved to take him outside, but he suddenly shot up out of his bed, became very stiff and vocalized loudly (screaming). I brought him outside and he stood just outside the door, body stiff with back legs extended so that he was leaning forward a bit. He did not want to move so I allowed him to stand there for a moment before ushering him back inside. Once he stepped inside he seemed to lose control of his bladder and urinated on the floor. He was brought back outside, and once in the yard assumed this position, in which he remained for roughly five minutes before slowly laying down. He was still reacting to me, aware and alert, but would not stand or move when called. I had to pick him up and carry him to the car as he would not stand. He yelped when picked up, which he has not done before when carried. The drive to the e-vet was ~20 minutes and by the time we arrived he was willing to stand and walk again. They x-rayed his abdomen, told us everything looked normal, and suggested it may be gas. They prescribed carprofen which he only took for one day before normal vet said to discontinue use. Brought home, seemed normal for a few hours, and then the same symptoms reoccurred at 6AM. Began acting more normal after the episode, but was unable to hold his bladder and urinated in the house multiple times spontaneously (no squatting, though he normally squats when he urinates). When brought to normal vet, they suggested it may be an infection or something neurological. They prescribed clindamycin, sucralfate, omeprazole, and prednisolone. All meds were taken to completion except sucralfate, which we were told we could stop using once his other meds were used up. Bloodwork was run and results sent to us, but no discussion as to what it indicated, if anything. We were told a return visit was not necessary as he was back to normal behavior at the time. Tonight he refused dinner and seemed a little "off", so I am worried whatever episode he had may be about to reoccur. I am mostly curious about what his bloodwork indicates. A few names are bolded on it to show that levels were high or low, but we were not told what these high and low levels indicate. Bloodwork is attached below, if you could give insight on what the high/low levels may indicate it would be much appreciated. I know nothing about what the levels mean, but his lymphocytes seem very low from what I can tell. He ran out of clindamycin first, then prednisolone, and then omeprazole a few days later. He began rejecting food two days after running out of omeprazole. Not sure if that's relevant to his symptoms returning.
• Clinical signs: Lack of appetite, sudden pain, lethargy, increased water intake, increased urination, inability to control bladder, unwilling to move when called, suspected abdominal pain, drooling, stiffness when standing, panting, nausea (but no vomiting).
• Duration: Showed symptoms for 2 days when first began - disappeared once on medication given by regular vet. Has been out of meds for 2 days and has begun rejecting food again. Would not eat his kibble, cat food, hot dogs, or cheese. I did get him to eat two boiled chicken breasts - but he ate very reluctantly and slowly. Seems to be drinking more water again as well, more panting. Other symptoms have not yet returned but I am worried they will return as well.

So I’m worried. I was prescribed topamax 25mg 2x a day & phentermine 37.5mg once a day.
Started march 9th. Only took the topamax March 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 15, 16th & quit on the 17th. & I was only taking 1 25mg pill instead of the 2. I quit because it was giving me just weird tingling in my hands / legs / lips & I wasn’t a fan.
Recently the last week & a half I’ve had these off and on again “fuzzy” weird sensations in the top of my head throughout the day.
I’m still on the phentermine, & I recently started semaglutide as well.
I didn’t know the dangers of stopping topamax “cold Turkey” but now I’m freaking out that I’m having withdrawal symptoms or that it permanently effed me up. Could that be possible with only taking it 6 fucking days!?

This might be an odd post, but I want other's thoughts.
I can't make my sims do anything bad and I can't kill them for fun. It feels so awful even though it's just a video game and half the fun is creating chaos. I kind of wish I could get over it because the wild stories do seem fun but I chicken out at the last second of doing anything outside of the norm. No cheating for my married sims, I try to get all skills for toddlers, I aim for my teens to get good grades, and I've never let my sims die. It does get boring but I can't bring myself to destroy their lives 😂 I feel so dumb admitting this lol but am I the only one who plays like this? Or did, and got over it?

Bub just turned 5 weeks. I can clearly see no bottom lip and tongue tie and she Latches and feeds like a champ. Hospital said she was checked for ties and all is fine,
Today I figured I’d look at her top lip and was alarmed that her tie goes right to the tip of her gum and lip. Like her top lip has no way of puckering because the tie runs the whole way.
Is this something they grow into? It doesn’t seem to affect her at all but may later with solids?
Anyone got an experience to share about a top lip tie? Should I see a doc?
