Evil spirits are tormenting me and wont leave ever NEED HELP ASAP

2023.03.30 20:47 ApartParamedic4575 Evil spirits are tormenting me and wont leave ever NEED HELP ASAP

WARNING LONG READ
TLDR: Spiritual warfare on steriods
I genuinely need advice here from real spiritual Christians. Not carnal Christians that just say "derp see a mental health professional".
I've been tormented by a demonic attachment for ages now and I'm really tired. I saw a mental health professional and I'm diagnosed "schizophrenic" and major depression disorder but i know its a demon tormenting me and its very strong and stubborn.
I frequently get nightmares and sex in my dreams, eating in my dreams, dreams of my family making fun of me, but they have black eyes. My bed shakes every night and i literally feel it touch me and enter my body which comes in a form of muscle spasms, it manifested in church and i literally started laughing at the pastor for absolutely no reason and i felt my eyebrows start to forcefully go downwards at him during a preaching. My heart started racing. I also literally started convulsing one night during bible verses being read to me as i find peace for it when i sleep. But my peace has been taken away. During prayer one night i started laughing demonically.
Im scared to sleep every day due to these attacks and it has progressed to even worse where im being touched all over my body. It touches me primarly near my genitals and butt but it also pokes my face and i can literally feel it poke me like a finger when someone pokes you its cold and itches and i know for a fact that its real cause it only happens in my room.
I started blessing my room as the attacks primarily happen in my room aka my place of solitude, silence and peace. But ive since lost my peace and im always in a state of sleep deprivation. I work security where i regularly have 12 hour shifts and its causing me great pain and caused me to become addicted to energy drinks to stay awake. I also get nasty intrusive blasphemous thoughts on the regular, random words coming into my mind like "satan" or it twists worship songs to sing about satan.
Ive gotten to the point im about to quit my job and give up even tho im 60k deep in debt and im forced to pay my bills or i may get sued and my wages garnished and my car and other stuff repo'd
My luck has also decreased, alot of bad things have been happening and my energy has been drained like something is sucking the life force out of me daily.
ive reached out to pastors primarly David Diga Hernandez on youtube who is very anointed and has a deep connection to God and his sermons prove it and his prayers, hes also a deliverance minister like pastor vlad. David prayed for me recently. I've stopped going to church afraid of another manifestation. Im completely alone and isolated from other believers.
I've rebuked this thing in the name of Jesus Christ many times and quoted luke 10:19. And it still refuses to leave. So clearly i have no authority over this thing. Like God is allowing it to happen, God has been silent ever since but i still feel the holy spirit when i talk to the lord but its nothing but silence and empty prayers.
I believe this to be a sex demon or spirit spouse which is biblical opened by my former addiction to masturbation, lust and pornography, fornication and soul ties which ive quit and renounced. But ever since then ive been attacked heavily and it all happened last year around june. Ive been dealing with this ever since. I also used to heavily talk to spirits with divination which this is very real. My mother is also a witch who i disowned sadly due to her demonic nature.
I do confess i struggle with drug addiction primarily nicotine which has complete hold over me and my life ive tried to quit but i end up digging through trashcans to find my vape which i threw away due to withdrawl torment.
Ive fasted, ive prayed very powerful deliverance prayers for Jesus to intervene but to no prevail. This thing attacks me even in the presence of the lord which i feel during bible verses.
So its obvious God is letting this happen and ultimately its destroying my faith in the lord as i feel completely abandoned. Ive never felt such awful spiritual warfare in my life, ive done all i can, prayed, and all that to no prevail.
Its leading me to want to off myself even though i dont want to at all and i still wont but my brain tells me its the only way to escape the pain of this torment but i fear hell and going to hell due to that but it feels like i am in hell completely thats how bad it is. So i feel trapped in this endless cycle of depression, demonic torment, intrusive thoughts, addiction, lack of peace, nightmares ever night and much more. These attacks started happening right when my ex left me for 6 months and i gave my heart to jesus christ our lord.
Maybe i blasphemied the holy spirit on accident and God completely cut his connection to me cause thats what it feels like.
No matter what deliverance ive seeked has no prevail it has not helped, neither has prayer or getting into Gods word, nor exercising my authority.
This has to be some sort of Job situation cause it certainly feels like it or evil spirits sent by God to test and discipline me for living in sin due to addiction and struggling with lust.
Or this could be a season of spiritual warfare and God is testing my faith to see how strong i am in him and this will soon pass but its been around seemingly over a year and it has not stopped and wont leave and im tired and weary and i cannot stand it anymore
1 Samuel 16:14
Ive reached the end of my rope honestly, and will leave the faith very soon.

I KNOW FOR A FACT THIS IS NOT MENTAL ILLNESS BUT EVIL SPIRITS AND DEMONS. SO DONT TELL ME SEEK HELP CAUSE IVE ALREADY BEEN IN TREATMENT FOR 15 YEARS. Doped up the HIGHEST dosage of medications and been through therapy multiple times, and locked in a institution for attempted suicide.

i need help asap. Cause they wont even go away in the name of Jesus.

2023.03.30 20:38 Veksutin Kensei Archer Multiclassing

I'm playing as a dhampir Kensei monk with the longsword and longbow as my Kensei weapons. Having a lot of fun running up walls and trees with my spider climb and high movement speed, while shooting enemies with arrows :)
I rolled really nice stats, so I currently have 15/20/14/10/16/8. Currently level 3, planning to take Sharpshooter at level 4. I also have access to all of the optional Tasha's features (or else I probably wouldn't be playing this build lol).
The campaign is set to go to level 10, and I wanna take Kensei to level 6 at least for guaranteed magical weapons and Deft Strike. I've thought about sticking with pure monk and taking Fighting Initiate Archery at level 8, but I'd also be interested in multiclassing for a few levels.
I've mainly thought about cleric, fighter and ranger. Don't really want to take Peace or Twilight domain, but War domain is appealing to me for those additional BA attacks, Guided Strike, and Divine Favor could be a nice spell as well. Turn Undead also fits the concept very well and could be useful since we're playing Curse of Strahd.
Even just one level of fighter would get me the Archery fighting style, allowing me to pick something else for a feat, which is nice. I've also thought about going 3 levels for Action Surge and Battle Master (Precision Attack + Focused Aim + Archery + Bless from allies means I basically never miss).
For ranger, I'd probably go 3 levels and grab Gloom Stalker. It fits thematically and would also get me the Archery FS, although a level later than fighter (but potentially the same level as pure monk). The Gloom Stalker subclass speaks for itself I think.
What do you think would be the best way to go? I'm also very much open to other MC suggestions, particularly ones that complement the archery playstyle and perhaps add some utility on the side.

2023.03.30 20:20 1984-2112 Is Messi a big tournament disappointment? [Serious]

In light of recent Ronaldo posts... I've been wondering is Messi just a big competition fraud, with good PR? A man born into world class squads, for an elite club and an elite country with huge pedigree and cabinets. A man which never had less than a 8/10 teammate throughout his entire life.
That's his record in the 2 most elite competitions that he could play (apart from the EPL, which he never touched). What are your thoughts? Is the "good boy of the media" image just too strong? What's behind this constant overlooking?

2023.03.30 20:18 djarogames Is a Discord server worth it? It takes a lot of time and effort to manage and for what, exactly?

I have had a server for close to a year now, with over 1K members, but so far it has led to nothing but increased labour with absolutely zero payoff.
The people who are in my Discord server already are subscribed to me, so I won't be getting extra views by promoting my videos there.
It might increase viewer retention (people stay fans for a longer time), but even if over the course of a year I can persuade 1000 people to keep watching me by interacting with them (which is an insanely high number, 3 per day), it's going to lead to what? 1000 extra views per video? If I instead invested all that time into making more and better videos, it would lead to way more ROI.
And to have to deal with finding moderators, setting up the bots, dealing with trolls and spammers, and things like that is quite time consuming. Even at 2 hours/week that's still 100 hours a year, which for me is almost 7 extra videos. I can guarantee that uploading 7 extra high-quality videos over the course of a year would lead to way more growth than having a Discord server.
This doesn't even get into the issue of people posting edgy stuff. You can't ban someone for posting a history meme about WW2, because there is a big chance that they are normal people who simply found the meme funny, and then they're going to leave angry comments about how you falsely banned them. But if your memes channel is nothing but edgy memes about Nazis, you very quickly turn into a Nazi server. You can't ban someone for having a furry pfp, but if 10 people with furry pfps are talking in a channel you quickly become a furry server, which leads to other people leaving.
This is one of those unsolvable issues really besides having a very strict hardline zero-tolerance policy on those topics, which makes people unhappy.
So my question is, is a Discord server even worth it? It seems to me that it takes way more effort than it's worth. I have seen close to 0 ROI from it so far.
However, that doesn't mean I'm giving up and letting my server die. I am going to do an experiment. By now, my Discord server is basically a toxic wasteland of off-topic comments, spam, dead channels, etc.
I am going to completely revamp my Discord server, and actually "unify" it with my videos. I am going to add read-only channels where I post behind-the-scenes footage, sneakpeeks, bloopers, things like that. I am going to make channels for viewer submissions which I will use in my videos (the main game I play lets you share vehicles you design).
This will greatly decrease freedom, as it will no longer be a general "hub" for my watchers, rather it will actually have a purpose. There will be channels for specific topics I want to talk about with my viewers, and if they want to talk to each other about their pets or share random memes they can do that in their own private servers.
Also, regular events (even if it's just asking a simple question to the community or a simple challenge), and a zero-tolerance policy for anything mentioning Nazis, furries and hentai (the 3 main causes of trouble).
I will probably write an update in a couple of months.

2023.03.30 20:05 DTG_Bot This Week at Bungie - 03/30/2023

Source: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/destiny-2-twab-3-30-23
This week at Bungie, we’re still recovering from the emotional roller coaster that was last week’s story mission and this week’s remembrance centering around Amanda Holliday. While we’re still making our best attempt at pretending we aren't sobbing messes over our favorite mechanic, we did want to share our preview of the mid-Season weapons update, a fun behind-the-scenes look at development animation horrors, and an update on what our Player Support team is working hard on.
Here’s what we’re going to be digging into this week:
  • A preview of our mid-Season update from the team.
  • Answering a question about one particular weapon players are searching for.
  • A behind-the-scenes look at placeholder animations regarding that gun.
  • Update from our Player Support team on known issues and coming updates.
  • The community’s favorite #AOTW and #MOTW picks of the week.
In case you missed last week’s blog, here’s a helpful TLDR:
  • We said farewell to the man behind our beloved Commander, Lance Reddick.
  • Shared a quick wrap-up of a recent Crucible blog post.
  • Shared some changes to the Root of Nightmares raid.
    • A bonus heads up that Master and Challenge Mode begins this week.
You can check out last week’s update here to learn more!
Before we move on to the actual TWAB, we wanted to pay tribute to the incredible Amanda Holliday. Last week, we all said goodbye to a character that proudly walked the Guardian path in every way but her title. Holliday gave her life during Season of Defiance, and she did so in the most Amanda way possible: like a compassionate Badass with a capital ‘B.’ No matter her trials, her heart never shied away from caring about those around her, even when her mind begged her to be more reserved. We saw it with her friendship with Crow, and against all odds, we saw it in the small ways she showed our Vanguard that she was there to support them. We also saw it each time we spoke with her, even if we just needed a little ship tune-up.
Image Linkimgur
On a more personal note, I worked on aircraft when I was active duty military, so I always looked up to Amanda as a character and felt a special bond with her. I could see myself in her. I wanted to be her. She was a Light and had a strength I don’t even think she knew about. It has always been inspiring, and her journey will continue to inspire long after her sacrifice.
Amanda Holliday gave up her life to help those around her, for those who needed protection. Needed safety. She sacrificed herself for a cause she believed in, and it’s our job as Guardians to make her proud.

Time For a Difficult(y) Conversation

We've been keeping an eye on community feedback on overall difficulty since Lightfall's launch, and we have some changes in today's update and future updates that retune certain experiences. In today’s update, we’ve reduced Legend and Master enemy HP scalars for non-boss units, which we felt were a little higher than we liked:
  • Reduced the enemy HP scalar in all non-raid/dungeon Legend and Master activities by 10%.
  • Reduced the co-op enemy HP scalar in Legendary Avalon by 33% in a full fireteam.
We've also made some additional reductions to Commendations requirements so players can reach their milestones at a more enjoyable pace:
  • Reduced Hawthorne's weekly challenge Commendations target from 20 to 5.
  • Removed Guardian Rank objectives that require players to give Commendations from Ranks 7, 8, and 9.
  • Further reduced Commendation score requirements for Guardian Ranks 7-9:
    • Rank 7: 100 (was 460)
    • Rank 8: 250 (was 790)
    • Rank 9: 500 (was 1,290) ##Mid-Season Preview, Weapons Edition
Hello everyone, and welcome to another mid-Season weapons balance pass preview! Senior Design Lead Chris Proctor here. This is not going to be a huge one, but we feel that the changes we do have are impactful to the sandboxes in both PvP and PvE. Also, as a note in case you missed it, in last week's patch, we corrected an issue with Target Lock that was making it significantly more forgiving to use than intended, which originally would have been included in this patch, but we felt the change warranted being pulled forward.

PvE Primary Weapon Balance

We wanted to see how the PvE sandbox shook out after the release of Lightfall, not necessarily to see if primary weapons needed a buff, but more to see how much we should buff them. We've done quite a bit of testing on these numbers, in content ranging from Heroic Nightfalls to Legendary campaigns, all the way up to Grandmasters and we think that the changes are impactful without invalidating the difficulty of the appropriate levels.
Image Linkimgur
In Heroic and Legendary content, you should be more likely to one-shot red-bar enemies depending on your weapon type, and even in GMs, we have shaved how many shots it takes and time it takes to kill for the below weapons against red and orange bar enemies. We want to add that we do not believe we are done with tuning weapon damage in PvE, this is merely a starting point, and we will revisit it in the coming Seasons to make sure everything has a place in the sandbox.
  • Increased the damage of the following weapon types against red and orange bar enemies in PvE:
    • Auto Rifles face steep competition from Submachine Guns (SMGs) within parts of their range, and having a longer possible engagement distance wasn't doing enough to offset it. We don't want Auto Rifles to defeat combatants faster than SMGs, as that would flip the script and invalidate the lower range options instead, but we did feel like we could close the gap substantially.
      • Auto Rifles - 25%
    • Pulse Rifles and Hand Cannons have been considered weaker in harder PvE content for some time, so we wanted to make sure the buff we gave them was substantial, while at the same time keeping them below the lower ranged options in terms of pure lethality. Pulse Rifles have struggled, being less effective than Scout Rifles despite, for the most part, having a less effective range. We also put Sidearms into this group because they similarly lagged in damage output compared to the longer ranged SMGs. At these values, Pulse Rifles should be in a more reasonable spot, Hand Cannons should feel like they pack more of a punch, and Sidearms should fall much better into the "high risk, high reward" category.
      • Pulse Rifles, Hand Cannons, and Sidearms - 20%
    • Scout Rifles - We need to be careful tuning Scout Rifles up too much, because they offer the benefits of very safe engagement ranges paired with unlimited ammo, so making them too strong instantly turns most endgame PvE content into "sit as far away as possible and plink," which we want to avoid. That being said, after the changes to the other weapons, they felt like they were trailing just a little too far behind, so we have moved them up as well.
      • Scout Rifles - 10%
  • SMGs and Bows - We tuned the rest of the primary weapons using these two archetypes as benchmarks, but as mentioned above, we will continue to keep an eye on the primary weapon balance in PvE and may revisit their tuning as needed.

Weapon Archetypes

  • Submachine Guns
    • Aggressive Frame SMGs have been very strong in the PvP meta for the last couple of months, with a handful of outliers taking most of the credit. The IKELOS SMG was something of a mystery to us, as we continually felt, and got reports, that the gun seemed to have much better stability than its stats would indicate it should, compared to other SMGs. Originally, the IKELOS SMG was built back in the Warmind era when we had fewer guidelines on how to keep weapons balanced, and upon doing a deeper investigation we found that some custom tuning had been added to the weapon's scope to give it a recoil reduction effect. For comparison, the recoil reduction tuning was like having an effect nearly equivalent to Zen Moment at max strength, and always active. We have removed that custom tuning, and the recoil should now feel in-line with other SMGs.
      • IKELOS SMG:
        • Removed some tuning in the custom scope causing these weapons to have significantly less recoil than intended. The recoil is now in line with other Aggressive Frame SMGs.
      • We are aware that this change in isolation, while noticeable, is unlikely to put much of a dent in Aggressive Frame SMGs current dominance, so we have a larger change to reduce the damage of the Aggressives sub-family that will release alongside Season 21. The change will be targeted at shifting the resiliency threshold where the gun can achieve its optimal 0.67s Time to Kill (TTK) down to a lower value, to force a more reasonable 0.77s TTK against most players, while also decreasing their forgiveness of missed crits.
  • Fusion Rifle
    • When we last touched Fusion Rifles, Shotguns had seen a big drop in effectiveness, and we were concerned that Rapid-Fire Frame Fusions would rise up to take their place. As such, we preemptively nerfed Rapid-Fires pretty hard. In today's sandbox, this is less of a concern due to the renewed strength of Shotguns following the airborne effectiveness and pellet spread changes, so we have walked back some of the damage nerf we made to Rapid-Fires. This change will push them back to defeating all resilience levels in 7 bolts and give them a decent bump to ease of use.
      • Increased burst damage by 15 (damage per burst goes from 245 to 260, damage per bolt goes from 27.2 to 28.9).
      • Damage in PvE is unchanged.
  • Trace Rifle
    • Trace Rifles are in a bit of a precarious spot in the Crucible. In the right hands, they can kill very quickly from long ranges, even outside of their optimal time to kill (TTK). On the other hand, they can be difficult to use, and they often feel heavily ammo limited if you are not hitting the optimal TTK. We did a lot of experimenting with them for this change, including multiple combinations of damage and crit ratios, and settled on the values below as the highest we could push their damage output before they became frustrating to deal with in Crucible. Interestingly, with damage any higher than this the feeling was that they had a surplus of ammo, especially in 6v6 modes, and could often net 2 kills per Special brick picked up, which was concerning. Once we moved their damage values, they still felt like they needed a little bit more, and we wanted to lean harder into making them feel good to use, so we increased the effect that stability has on reducing flinch at the high end of the stat. We will monitor this change when it goes live and may revisit the ammo situation in a future update if their effectiveness remains low.
      • Increased base damage by 4% (base damage goes from 12 to 12.5).
      • Reduced precision hit multiplier from 1.4x to 1.35x (crit damage goes from 16.8 to 16.9).
      • Increased the effectiveness of stability at reducing flinch by 10% at 100 stat (scales down at lower values).
  • Sniper Rifle
    • Rapid-Fire Frame Sniper Rifles have long struggled to find a place in both the PvP and PvE meta. In PvP, their inability to kill with two body shots puts them on uneven footing with other Snipers, and in PvE their fast RPM but standard inventory sizes mean you constantly feel low on ammo. To address these concerns and differentiate them from other Sniper sub-families, we have reduced their recoil by 50%. This means hitting crits on a boss or Champion in PvE is much easier, and taking rapid follow-up shots in PvP is too. We have also increased their inventory stat by 30%, which should give them a lot more rounds to play with in PvE content.
      • Reduced recoil by 50%.
      • Increased total ammunition (magazine + reserves) by 30%.
Image Linkimgur

Exotic Weapons

  • Final Warning - Final Warning being able to track targets through barricades, while funny in some cases, felt pretty unfair to play against and was not an intended mechanic of the weapon.
    • Can no longer mark targets through Titan Barricades.
  • Tarrabah - This weapon is something we have been keeping an eye on for a while, and with the spotlight being shown on Aggressive Frame SMGs, it felt like Tarrabah has had its time in the sun. When the weapon was introduced, there was substantially less survivability in PvP, and the intention was that it would take nearly two full engagements to get Ravenous Beast active, which made it one of the costliest perk activators we had in game and justified the extreme power it offered. As the sandbox has progressed, however, survivability has increased, and it has become possible for Ravenous Beast to be very close to activating after a single engagement. This has meant that savvy players could purposefully bait or take a small amount of damage (like standing in a grenade's effect) to top off the perk, and then have it active for the second engagement. The increased ease of access has made Ravenous Beast an outlier in today's Crucible, and we were left with the options of reducing the potency of the perk itself or trying to make its activation more difficult, and we decided to work with the latter. This reduction in energy granted from taking damage puts the onus back on the user to deal damage and shifts the balance of the perk back towards a difficult activator that justifies its reward of a potent effect. In addition, we are continuing our mission to address zoom outliers, and this felt like a good time to reduce the zoom of Tarrabah back down to something more in line with the rest of the SMG archetype.
    • Reduced the amount of Ravenous Beast energy generated when taking damage from 3% to 1%.
    • Reduced zoom from 16 to 15.
  • Revision Zero - Fourth Times the Charm (FTTC) working when Revision Zero went into Hunter's Trace is a fun and intended interaction, but it caused some unfortunate issues. Activating it too early while the perk was up caused the weapon to overflow its limited mag size and return to the normal Pulse Rifle mode. We have made a fix so that FTTC can continue to work while Hunter's Trace is active, but it will not be able to grant ammo until all shots have been expended. This means you can still enjoy the 2 free shots provided by the perk as long as you hit all 4 Hunter's Trace rounds without worrying about being kicked out of the mode. In addition, we have buffed the damage of the Hunter's Trace rounds by 25% in PvE, and we have buffed the Häkke Heavy Burst rounds by 75% in PvE. This will now make it more of a tradeoff when choosing between the origin perks, either dealing more damage in the primary mode but charging Hunter's Trace more slowly or dealing less damage but charging the bonus shots more quickly.
    • Fourth Times the Charm will now be reset when entering Hunter's Trace.
      • This will prevent the issue of firing a single shot while in Hunter's Trace and being forcibly returned to Pulse Rifle mode when FTTC activates.
    • Increased PvE damage of the Hunter's Trace rounds by 25%.
    • Increased PvE damage of the Häkke Heavy Burst rounds by 75%.Video Link ####At Season 21 Launch
  • A sweeping rework of weapon hip fire reticles to better display useful information to players (accuracy, aim assist, charge state, Exotic perk state, etc.).
  • The Aggressive Frame SMG nerf.
  • A 10% PvE buff to Sniper Rifle damage.
  • Buffs/adjustments to more than a dozen Exotic weapons, including Graviton Lance and Salvation's Grip.

    In the Future

  • We are going to be taking a look at how zoom interacts with damage fall off, and the base damage fall off ranges of all weapons in general.
  • Zoom, and perks like Rangefinder that manipulate zoom, have become a requirement on several weapon types, either to compete at all in the sandbox, or to allow the weapon to exceed its intended engagement ranges. This has led us to begin to consolidate zoom values on certain weapon archetypes, which removes an important lever that we can use to modify weapon feel, given the effect zoom has on field of view, recoil reduction, and aim assist falloff.
  • We will be investigating decoupling damage falloff from zoom (this would be paired alongside a refresh of the base damage falloff values to compensate), which should allow us to better control the engagement ranges of individual archetypes, while at the same time letting us continue to use zoom as a tuning knob for weapon feel without dramatically changing their performance.

The Case of the Missing Khvostov, A Peek Behind the Developer Curtain

Cinematics Director James Myers has an answer that many of you have been asking: “Where the heck is the Khvostov weapon seen in cutscenes?!” Funny story about that, we’ll let Myers take this one.
Myers: During the production of Lightfall, a certain story beat was pitched related to reluctantly aiming a weapon, and we quickly realized that we would need to animate that moment much more specifically than we typically handle Guardians pointing weapons in previous scenes. Many players have noticed some of the sillier results in some real-time scenes, even when we avoid extreme poses (like our Guardian holding a Bow at the end of The Witch Queen.) So, I spun up a thread with the studio leads and suggested that we decide on a “default weapon” that we could feature if we ever needed something specific like this. I suggested the Khvostov because it’s the very first weapon every player receives in Destiny. Literally every Guardian has tinkered around with this weapon, so it felt like the right call.
At the same time, new systems were being developed that would feature Guardians (like Commendations), and similarly, there were a lot of visual bugs popping up with certain weapons like Glaives and Bows. The animation team was stretched thin closing on cinematics, and a new set of animations was, unfortunately, something that would cost us other content. Because of that, we made the decision to use the same default logic in the instances where a visual bug would detract from the quality bar we aim to achieve.
Regarding helmets seen in in-engine cinematics, I have seen some folks post screenshots of their Guardians from recent real-time cinematics, and many were helmetless! Something we started doing in Lightfall is respecting the player's choice of helmet or no helmet in real-time scenes, where appropriate (we'll keep your helmet on in the vacuum of space for example). But for the most part, if you choose "hide helmet," you'll see your Guardian's face. And if you don't, you won't unless there's a special exception (I don't want to make that promise too airtight, just in case!). There is one caveat to keep in mind: the Season 20 cinematics were in production before we finalized this plan, so from Season 21 onward this will be consistent!
As a little bonus “sneak peek,” some animators in the film industry were recently discussing how they push animation poses in ridiculous ways to get the framing just right on camera, making for better shot composition and framing. It stirred up some interesting conversation, so we figured we'd show you one of these reframings with an example from the Season 20 intro cinematic. Whatever it takes to get the shot, y’know?

2023.03.30 20:01 yancyfry15 Experiencing stomach discomfort and odd bowel movements

This is in regards to 55M, height 5'10, weight 275, white, non smoker, occassional alcohol use, no drug use. Prescribed medications for BP management.
For the past 3 months I’ve been dealing crampy stomach pain, varying between the left, right and lower abdomen. Bowel movements at the beginning were very odd…dark dense stool very smelly and eventually it went back to somewhat normal. The overall bowel movement pattern has been minimal to somewhat normal bowel movements, multiple times per day (like over the course of an hour+ and fine the rest of the day) and then somewhere between day 4 or 5 I’ll end up with massive cramps and then a large bowel movement and then the daily pattern repeats.
I’ve had IBS for a long time, my main method of dealing with that is regularly taking psyllium products which has kept symptoms relatively under control. A few years ago I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and have dealt with flare-ups 2-3 times per year, usually treated with antibiotics. I’ve experienced no weight loss, no fevers (though sometimes flushing) and I’m regularly fatigued. Overall my stomach doesn’t feel great, and I feel like I’m getting physically worn down by whatever is going on.
My diet consists of a lot of fluids (coffee, tea, water), a good balance of greens and fruits along with proteins, I take probiotics daily along with kefir.
Over the past two weeks I’ve had CT scans (which came back normal), a battery of blood tests looking for evidence of Crohns, celiac disease, low iron levels, kidney function, high blood sugar, etc….all of which came back normal.
I have a meeting with my primary doctor coming up to discuss test results and I’m hoping to have a few suggestions on what we could check for next because otherwise I have the feeling I’m going to be told that this is just how my body is and I’ll have to learn to live with it.
If anyone has experienced similar issues or has suggestions on what tests we could try next that would be appreciated (the only thing I can think of is testing for carcinoid syndrome).
Thank you!

2023.03.30 19:57 BarbFunes FM Patient Education Material from UpToDate

I have access to some patient education resources about Fibromyalgia that are from a top medical resource (UpToDate). I wanted to share the content here because I think they answer a lot of basic questions I find people asking here. They also solidify that FM is not "in your head" but that there is a ton of evidence that it is a neurologically based condition.

What is fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes people to feel pain in the muscles and soft tissues all over their body. People with fibromyalgia also have many places on their body that hurt a lot when they are touched. No one knows what causes fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia is one of a group of chronic pain disorders that affect connective tissues, including the muscles, ligaments (the tough bands of tissue that bind together the ends of bones), and tendons (which attach muscles to bones). It is a chronic condition that causes widespread muscle pain (known as "myalgia") and extreme tenderness in many areas of the body. Many patients also experience fatigue, sleep disturbances, headaches, and mood disturbances such as depression and anxiety. Despite ongoing research, the cause, diagnosis, and optimal treatment of fibromyalgia are not clear.
In the United States, fibromyalgia affects about 2 percent of people by age 20, which increases to approximately 8 percent of people by age 70; it is the most common cause of generalized musculoskeletal pain in women between 20 and 55 years. It is more common in women than men.

What causes fibromyalgia?
The cause of fibromyalgia is unknown. Various physical or emotional factors (such as infection, injury, or stress) may play a role in triggering symptoms, although many patients report a lifelong history of chronic pain.
In people with fibromyalgia, the muscles and tendons are excessively irritated by various painful stimuli. This is thought to be due to a heightened perception of pain, a phenomenon called "central sensitization." Other conditions may also develop as a result of central sensitization, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS); chronic headaches; chronic pelvic and bladder pain; and chronic jaw and facial pain.
There is no generally agreed-upon explanation for how or why central sensitization develops in some people. The most plausible theory suggests that there is a genetic component, meaning that some people are predisposed to having a heightened sense of pain. People with a parent or sibling with fibromyalgia have a higher chance of developing it themselves. In some cases, various stressors, including infection (eg, Lyme disease or viral illness), diseases that involve joint inflammation (eg, rheumatoid arthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus), physical or emotional trauma, or sleep disturbances appear to trigger the development of fibromyalgia.
Brain imaging studies in people with fibromyalgia and related chronic pain disorders have shown changes in brain function and connections between different parts of the brain. As research continues, the factors that lead to chronic pain in fibromyalgia will be better understood, hopefully allowing for the development of better treatments.

Does fibromyalgia cause symptoms besides muscle pain?
The primary symptom of fibromyalgia is widespread (or "diffuse"), chronic, and persistent pain. Although the pain is felt in muscles and soft tissues, there are no visible abnormalities in these areas. The pain may be described as a deep muscular aching, soreness, stiffness, burning, or throbbing. Patients may also feel numbness, tingling, or unusual "crawling" sensations in the arms and legs. Although some degree of muscle pain is always present, it varies in intensity and is aggravated by certain conditions, such as anxiety or stress, poor sleep, exertion, or exposure to cold or damp conditions. People often describe their muscle symptoms as feeling like they always have the flu.
The pain may be confined to specific areas, often the neck or shoulders, early in the course of the disease. Multiple regions are eventually involved, with most patients experiencing pain in the neck, middle and lower back, arms and legs, and chest wall. Areas called "tender points" can feel painful with even mild to moderate pressure. Many patients with fibromyalgia feel that their joints are swollen, although there is no visible inflammation of the joints (as would be found in forms of arthritis).
Persistent fatigue occurs in more than 90 percent of people with fibromyalgia. Most people complain of unusually light, unrefreshing, or nonrestorative sleep. Difficulties falling asleep, awakening repeatedly during the night, and feeling exhausted upon awakening are also common problems.
People with fibromyalgia may also have sleep apnea (when the person stops breathing for a few moments while sleeping) or restless legs syndrome (when there is an uncontrollable urge to move the legs). Like some painful conditions, these sleep problems might also be triggers of fibromyalgia. If you have one or both of these problems, your doctor will likely recommend a formal sleep evaluation to confirm the diagnosis
Many people with fibromyalgia also have depression and/or anxiety at the time of diagnosis, or develop one or both later in life. However, this is true of most chronic pain conditions, and fibromyalgia is not simply a physical manifestation of depression.
They can also have:

Is there a test for fibromyalgia?
No, there is no test. To diagnose it, doctors and nurses review your symptoms. If you have symptoms of fibromyalgia, your doctor should obtain a medical history and do a physical exam to rule out arthritis, other connective tissue problems, neurologic conditions, and other disorders that may be causing your symptoms.
Routine laboratory tests may be recommended to help exclude certain conditions, such as inflammatory arthritis, thyroid disease, and disorders of the muscles. Results of these tests are normal in most people with fibromyalgia.
Doctors might diagnose fibromyalgia if you have pain in many parts of your body and they cannot find another cause. This is more likely if you also have other symptoms that can happen in fibromyalgia, such as trouble sleeping, feeling very tired, and trouble thinking clearly.

How is fibromyalgia treated?
There are medicines and strategies to help with the symptoms of fibromyalgia. But there is no 1 treatment that works for everyone. You and your health care team will need to work together to find the right mix of treatments for you. In general, treatment can include:
Medicines to relieve pain, improve sleep, or improve mood Physical therapy to learn exercises and stretches Relaxation therapyWorking with a counselor
To get the best treatment, many people need a team that includes:

Should I take medicines?
In addition to exercise and coping techniques to help manage symptoms, many people with fibromyalgia benefit from medication. The medications that have been most effective in relieving symptoms of fibromyalgia in clinical trials are drugs that target chemicals in the brain and spinal cord that are important in processing pain. These include some of the medications usually used to treat depression (antidepressants) and epilepsy (anticonvulsants). By contrast, medications and techniques that work to decrease symptoms of pain locally, such as antiinflammatory drugs and analgesics, are less effective.
The best medication for you will depend on your symptoms, preferences, and cost concerns, as well as which drugs are available in your area. Your doctor can talk to you about options and how to begin medication therapy. In general, medication is usually started at a low dose and then increased slowly as needed.
Antidepressants — There are several different classes of drugs used to treat depression (see "Patient education: Depression treatment options for adults (Beyond the Basics)"). Some of these can be effective in treating fibromyalgia symptoms as well.
Anticonvulsants — Certain anticonvulsants (drugs used primarily for treating epilepsy) may help to relieve pain and improve sleep. They include pregabalin and gabapentin and are thought to relieve pain by blocking certain chemicals that increase pain transmission. The most common side effects of these drugs include feeling sedated or dizzy, gaining weight, or developing swelling in the lower legs; however, most people tolerate these medications well.
Often, more than one class of these drugs are used together. For example, a low dose of a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor would be taken in the morning and a low dose of a tricyclic antidepressant or another drug would be taken at bedtime.
Other drugs — You may wonder about other medications for treating your symptoms. However, evidence is limited, and it's important to talk with your doctor about your situation and what approach is most likely to help.
Fibromyalgia does not cause tissue inflammation; thus, neither nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (sample brand names: Advil, Motrin) or naproxen (sample brand name: Aleve) nor glucocorticoids (steroids) are effective in relieving fibromyalgia symptoms. (See "Patient education: Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (Beyond the Basics)".)
Analgesics (pain-relieving medications) are sometimes added to fibromyalgia medications for people who need additional short-term pain relief. They include acetaminophen (sample brand name: Tylenol) and the prescription medication tramadol (sample brand name: Ultram), which may be used alone or in combination. Tramadol is an opioid, although it is weaker than other opioid drugs and less likely to result in addiction. It may cause dizziness, diarrhea, or sleep disturbances in some people.
There is no evidence that long-term opioids are effective in treating fibromyalgia symptoms, and these drugs come with potentially serious side effects as well as a risk of addiction. Some people with fibromyalgia have reported that cannabis products, particularly cannabidiol (CBD), are helpful; however, this has not been studied sufficiently to confirm benefit and safety of these compounds. The Arthritis Foundation has urged the US Food and Drug Association (FDA) to expedite the study and regulation of cannabis for the treatment of fibromyalgia.

What are non-medication options?
Exercise — Regular exercise, such as walking, swimming, or biking, is helpful in reducing muscle pain and improving muscle strength and fitness in fibromyalgia. If you are beginning an exercise program for the first time, it's best to start slowly and gradually increase your level of activity. Over time, exercise typically improves fibromyalgia symptoms. Muscle strengthening programs also appear to improve pain, decrease the number of tender points, and improve muscle strength.
It can also help to work with a physical therapist to develop an appropriate, individualized exercise program that will be of most benefit to you. Eventually, a good goal is to exercise for at least 30 minutes three times weekly. A separate topic review discusses exercise and arthritis; some of these approaches may also help people with fibromyalgia. (See "Patient education: Arthritis and exercise (Beyond the Basics)".)
Relaxation therapies — In some cases, participating in stress-reduction programs, learning relaxation techniques, or participating in hypnotherapy (hypnosis), biofeedback, or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) may help to relieve certain symptoms. Of these approaches, the most is known about CBT.
CBT is based on the concept that people's perceptions of themselves and of their surroundings affect their emotions and behavior. The goal of CBT is to change the way you think about pain and to deal with illness more positively. CBT has been especially effective when combined with patient education and information, ie, learning about your disease and how to manage it.
Mind-body stress reduction (MBSR) programs have been effective in fibromyalgia. MBSR may be individual or as part of a group and may involve discussion, meditation, and other techniques, such as hypnosis and biofeedback. During biofeedback, patients use information about typically unconscious bodily functions, such as muscle tension or blood pressure, to help gain conscious control over such functions.
Tai chi and yoga — Some people with fibromyalgia benefit from a traditional Chinese exercise called tai chi (which combines mind-body practice with gentle, flowing movement exercises) or yoga.
Acupuncture — Acupuncture involves inserting hair-thin, metal needles into the skin at specific points on the body. It causes little to no pain. In some cases, a mild electric current is applied to the needle, termed electroacupuncture. Most studies have found acupuncture to be helpful but there has been little difference found between traditional and "sham" acupuncture.
Multidisciplinary therapy — Fibromyalgia typically responds best to an integrated management program, combining medications, exercise, and cognitive approaches. This works best if a team of health care professionals is involved.

Is there a link between fibromyalgia and COVID-19?
Although many chronic medical illnesses may have been exacerbated during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, patients with pre-existing fibromyalgia may be particularly vulnerable. Stress and social isolation adversely impact mood, including depression, and anxiety, as well as sleep disturbance, which are common symptoms in fibromyalgia.
There is also evidence that the COVID-19 pandemic has precipitated new cases of fibromyalgia. For example, chronic, unexplained widespread pain is common for months after the initial COVID-19 infection, a common symptom in what has been termed long COVID syndrome. Such patients often meet the clinical criteria for fibromyalgia.

The telencephalon is composed of the cerebral cortex and the basal nuclei which has several functions, the user enhances the nucleus responsible for controlling movement, and the brainstem that is connected to the spinal medulla. The spinal medulla is responsible for promoting responses, and reflexes. However, the user can conjure a Spinal Medulla inside him as a Nen beast that overlaps their natural organ and connects with the brainstem and enhance to its limit being capable to reduce its own Nen energy consumption from technique activation infinitesimally near to nothing, and that the user will almost never run out of energy in a fight as a result. The user's conjured organ always aims at the user's safety being able to completely control the movements of their body in case the user doesn't run out on their own from a situation where the user has a greater chance of dying.
However, it would take the user 10 minutes of constant movement to reach the speed of about 60 km (approx. 49.6mi.), whereas a car driver would take four as long.
The user also included the restriction that they will not enhance any other part of their body with the added stipulation that violating this condition will result in the user's death.

Chicago has a rich and influential musical life, similar to Memphis. Chicago Blues, Gospel, jazz, Chicago Soul, hip-hop, and the city's top orchestra can be heard there.
8. Natchez
Rich cotton plantation owners looking for a more pleasant summer vacation destination built Natchez's stately porticoed mansions in the 19th century.
In the midst of its large and beautiful gardens, Longwood, which was left unfinished by the civil war, remains very well preserved.
One of the architectural jewels of the southern United States, the cathedral-basilica of Santa Maria impresses with its interior view.
You should visit Natchez just to see the sunsets over the Mississippi River.
9. New York
The "navel of the world", the "capital of the world", the "city that never sleeps", and the "big apple", are some of the adjectives that describe New York.
With millions of residents in a metropolis where more than 170 languages are spoken, it is as rich in culture as it is in population.
There is no comparison to its culinary, museum, artistic, theatrical, musical, audiovisual, festive, sports, and shopping offerings.
The Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Empire State, Rockefeller Center, and Central Park are must-sees. A majestic man-made waterfall on the East River was recently added to this list.
10. Savannah
Despite being challenged for his brutal scorched earth policy during the Civil War, General William Sherman refused to destroy Savannah.
With its boats plying the river that gives it its name, its boulevards with trees that join their crowns making natural vaults, its traditional homes, and its parks and squares, Savannah embodies the old southern spirit like few cities.
Fans of paranormal phenomena will feel at home in this Georgian city, where "ghosts" are everywhere. At least 50 buildings in this "bewitched city" are said to have extrasensory manifestations, which is why it is called a "bewitched city."
Savannah's Gothic-style synagogue is a curiosity.
11. Grand Canyon
There are no words to describe how impressive the Grand Canyon is. The extent of its length exceeds 440 km and its chilling abysses exceed 1,600 meters.
Getting down to the Colorado River's bed is the best way to appreciate this work of nature. Water carved the gorge in a thousand-year-old erosive process.
Among the recreational activities offered by tour operators are hiking, mule rides, hiking, and rafting.
The Skywalk, a walkway with a glass floor more than 1,200 meters high, is an experience that cannot be missed. It's crazy!
12. Nashville
The Parthenon, a replica of the famous Greek building built at the end of the 19th century, is one of the reasons Nashville is called the "Athens of the South" for its educational system and architecture.
There is a 13-meter-high gold-plated statue of Athena in this Parthenon.
Tennessee's capital is also known as "Music City.". You can enjoy neoclassical architecture, a musical atmosphere, and home-style southern cuisine here.
The state capitol is housed in an elegant Greek Neo-Renaissance building built in the mid-19th century.

13. Saint Francis
Another American microcosm featuring cultures and people from all over the world can be found in the beautiful Californian city.
Its high standard of living is supported by the technological development of Silicon Valley, where Apple was born.
Golden Gate, now 81 years old, remains the city's iconic structure. Symbolic cable tram rides that go up the streets continue to attract tourists.
A visit to the oldest Chinatown in the United States is a must if you want to taste ancient and fascinating oriental cuisine.
260 meters high, the Transamerica Pyramid is the tallest skyscraper in San Francisco.
Throughout the year, the city by the bay hosts museums, musical and cultural festivals, sporting events, and shows of all kinds.
14. Lake Tahoe
Despite global warming and droughts, Lake Tahoe, located in the Sierra Nevada at almost 1,900 meters above sea level, has managed to preserve its reputation as one of the purest and clear bodies of water in the United States.
There are quaint towns and cities such as Reno and Carson City along the lake's perimeter.
In winter, Lake Tahoe and its surroundings are popular ski resorts, while in summer, hiking and boating are popular.
Bonanza often featured the blue waters of the lake, which has also been the setting for movies such as X-Men (2 and 3) and The Godfather.
15. Miami
There's nothing like a beach party in Miami. Several industries (commerce, communications, entertainment, finance) make the city one of the world's wealthiest metropolises, wealth that translates into well-being and a lifestyle few cities can match.
The green areas are well-maintained, as are the streets and beaches, which are completely clean when tourists arrive. The city's fabulous, glamorous, and exclusive shops, shopping centers, and restaurants offer a wide variety of cuisines.
More cruise ships arrive in Miami than anywhere else in the world, bringing tourists from around the globe who know there will be entertainment and pleasure in the "Magic City."
Here are 20 things you must do in Miami with our guide
16. San Diego
For many Americans, it is the best city in the United States because of its sunny and warm climate year-round.
Nearly 4,000 specimens of more than 650 species can be found at the world-famous city zoo in Balboa Park, a vast natural and cultural space.
In order to fully explore it, visitors must be in good physical condition.
There are 20 blocks of Victorian houses, galleries, shops, and restaurants in the Gaslamp Quarter, a historic district developed at the end of the 19th century.
One contribution of the US Navy Pacific Fleet to tourism is its USS Midway Museum, which is housed on the aircraft carrier that decommissioned in 1992.
Seaport Village on the Point Loma waterfront, the Museum of Art, Horton Plaza and the San Diego Mission are also equally attractive attractions.
17. Wine Country (California)
Wine Country, the region where Californian wines are made, including the Napa and Sonoma valleys, is the best place to taste them.
Hundreds of hectares of vines cover the plains with green. Wineries, quaint boutique hotels, and restaurants dot the region, where the best regional cuisine is accompanied by exquisite wines, many of which are grown in adjacent orchards.
From the grape to the bottle, wineries offer tours that blend traditional and modern winemaking techniques.
18. Washington D.C.
It is the capital. The city has less than 700,000 people but is second only to New York in terms of ethnic and gastronomic diversity.
As a political city, it has top-notch services for residents and tourists.
All tourists visit the Washington Monument, the Civil War Memorial, and the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in addition to the White House and the National Capitol, two architectural symbols of the capital.
The Smithsonian Institute has beautiful museums, one of which is the Natural History Museum with over 125 million specimens.
The Georgetown University campus is serenely beautiful, preceded by Healy Hall, a majestic building blending Romanesque and Baroque styles harmoniously.
19. Cape Cod
A long Massachusetts peninsula with excellent hotels and delicious seafood is ideal for spending days at the beach with the family.
The peninsula is dotted with windmills and picturesque towns such as Bourne, Falmouth, Mashpee, Dennis, Brewster, Chatham, Eastham, Truro, and Provincetown.
In summer, vacationers from New England and other parts of the country flock to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard.
20. Boston
This is the city where the Red Sox play baseball. The Tea Party of 1773, a precursor event to American independence, occurred in the beautiful capital of Massachusetts.
A museum dedicated to this event tells the story of the event through actors dressed in the style of the time.
A number of stately buildings and museums can be found in Boston's Historic District, including the Otis House and the Gibson House.
While the Science Museum is the main attraction for visitors, other artistic and museum spaces such as the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Museum of Natural History are equally popular.
The North End is a small universe of peoples and cultures that make the city a living paradise for those who enjoy Italian cuisine and culture.
21.Las Vegas
This is a story about Sin City.
A multitude of sumptuous hotels and casinos line the Strip and Fremont Street in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is impossible without visiting the Flamingo, Caesars Palace, Mirage, Venetian, Excalibur, or MGM Grand. This has always been the scene of memorable boxing matches.
Mafia Museum recalls the city's origins as an Italian-American criminal organization initiative. Among the gangsters, you will meet the most infamous and ingenious scammers in the world.
Las Vegas' first hotel-casino, The Flamingo, was the brainchild of gangster Bugsy Siegel, a partner and subordinate of Lucky Luciano, who saw the advantages of having an isolated place for betting, roulette, and shows.
Take a day trip from the city of sin to the Grand Canyon, a few kilometers away.
Vegan desserts offer entertainment options for motorsport fans. Excursions on 2, 3, and 4-wheel machines are organized by the hotels themselves.
22. Portland
A charming city, Portland is crossed by the Willamette River and is guarded by Santa Elena, Hood, and Tabor, its most emblematic mountains.
While the green and welcoming city parks invite you to relax, the nearby mountains invite you to hike and breathe fresh air.
As well as being a musical city, Portland has beautiful parks and a high standard of living that have made it a popular setting for movies and television shows.
The Art Museum houses work by Van Gogh and Monet. The Museum of Science and Industry preserves the submarine used in the film, The Hunt for Red October.
With its multitude of food trucks and street stalls, Portland is one of the American cities with the best craft beers.
In the Cascades, Mount Hood is the fourth highest peak at 3,426 meters above sea level.
23.Seattle
This is the land of Nirvana, grunge, and guitarist Jimmy Hendrix. Musical influences abound in this city as well.
In addition to the Mariners, Seattle is also home to Amazon and Starbucks. In the United States, the city competes with Silicon Valley for technological supremacy.
The Museum of Pop Culture, the Asian Art Museum, and the Chihuly Glass Garden are all worth a visit.
The cemetery in which Bruce Lee and his son Brandon are buried also attracts hundreds of tourists, whether they are martial arts fans or not.
Enjoy the playful sea lions of Lake Washington.
24. Deadwood
Deadwood, located in South Dakota in the central-northern part of the country, has retained the spirit of the old western town it once was despite its location in the middle of the country.
Deadwood's large population of criminals and adventurers produced at least one death every day by the end of the 19th century. It had more saloons than residences, nine out of ten women were prostitutes, and nine out of ten men were prostitution dealers.
There are dueling gunmen, allusive museums, modern gambling dens, and rodeo shows in this picturesque town that harmlessly recreate its legendary and violent past.
The grave of the notorious adventurer and gunslinger, Wild Bill, shot to death at a card table in 1876, is a landmark associated with the city's past. He died with 2 aces and 2 eights, the now infamous and inauspicious "dead man's hand."
25. Kansas City
Kansas steak is America's most famous cut of meat and is prepared like no other by city dwellers at barbecue joints.
Live jazz is offered throughout the week in the city that straddles the Missouri and Kansas rivers.
Visit the Nelson-Atkins Museum's sculpture garden for a picnic and free admission.
Weapons, objects found in European trenches, vehicles, uniforms, and other items used during the bloody and brutal Great War are on display at the National Museum of the First World War.
You will also love Kansas City's "First Friday", a monthly cultural event in the Crossroads district combining art and gastronomy.
The Museum of the Negro Leagues is a must-see for baseball fans.
26. Key West
In the past, this island in the Florida Straits was a haven for pirates.
Key West is a place where you can forget about the noise. A tourist bus ride of about an hour and a half will take you past the main attractions, including the house where Ernest Hemingway lived and is now a museum.
Duval Street offers excellent restaurants and nightlife options if you forget your swimsuit or other clothing or accessory.
There is a rich and beautiful biodiversity in the mangrove forests of Key West. A paddle board or kayak tour will leave you feeling energized for the rest of the day.
In Dry Tortugas National Park, 110 km from Key West, you can dive in reefs with clear waters.
A sunset viewing in Mallory Square with music and street performers is another must-do activity in Key West.
27. Mount Rushmore
Between 1927 and 1941, Keystone Mountain in South Dakota was carved into granite.
Danish-American artist Gutzon Borglum and his son Lincoln sculpted the 60-foot-tall faces of celebrated presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln.
400 carvers participated, guided by plaster models preserved in this National Monument, built to honor the most representative characters of American history's first century and a half.
One of the most symbolic places in the country is Mount Rushmore. Each year, it receives more than 3 million visitors.
28. Yellowstone National Park
World's oldest national park. It is the enormous caldera of the largest volcano on the American continent, a monster that could wipe out all life on earth if it erupted.
Even though there have been no eruptions for 640,000 years, it still attracts hundreds of visitors with its spectacular geysers.
Among the more than 500 geysers formed in the park, Old Faithful is the most famous, erupting at 93°C and 40 meters high almost every hour.
Lamar Valley, with its mountains as sentinels, is a great place to camp for hikers and wildlife watchers.
There are trout in Yellowstone Lake and beautiful waterfalls in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

2023.03.30 19:44 Sorin61 Astaxanthin supplementation counters exercise-induced decreases in immune-related plasma proteins [03 - 2023]

Objectives: Astaxanthin is a dark red keto-carotenoid found in aquatic animals such as salmon and shrimp, and algae (Haematococcus pluvialis). Astaxanthin has a unique molecular structure that may facilitate anti-oxidative, immunomodulatory, and anti-inflammatory effects during physiological stress.
Methods: This study employed a randomized, double blind, placebo controlled, crossover design with two 4-week supplementation periods and a 2-week washout period. Study participants were randomized to astaxanthin and placebo trials, with supplements ingested daily for 4 weeks prior to running 2.25 h at close to 70%VO2max (including 30 min of 10% downhill running).
Results: The 2.25 h running bout induced significant muscle soreness, muscle damage, and inflammation. Astaxanthin supplementation had no effect on exercise-induced muscle soreness, muscle damage, and increases in six plasma cytokines and 42 oxylipins. Notably, astaxanthin supplementation countered exercise-induced decreases in 82 plasma proteins (during 24 h recovery). Plasma levels of IgM decreased significantly post-exercise but recovered after the 24 h post-exercise recovery period in the astaxanthin but not the placebo trial.
Discussion: These data support that 4-week astaxanthin versus placebo supplementation did not counter exercise-induced increases in plasma cytokines and oxylipins but was linked to normalization of post-exercise plasma levels of numerous immune-related proteins including immunoglobulins within 24 h. Short-term astaxanthin supplementation (8 mg/day during a 4-week period) provided immune support for runners engaging in a vigorous 2.25 h running bout and uniquely countered decreases in plasma immunoglobulin levels.

2023.03.30 19:36 HokageChef Changes and Nerfs

Alright, so as most of us know in the last few seasons there have been some questionable "nerfs" and an announcement of a really dumb rework(monty/blitz). I just wanna point out a few and get some feedback and give some ideas on a few nerfs/changes.
Aruni - Firstly a DMR should not be in the hands of a defender. 60 dmg, a fire rate of how fast you can click, and a capacity of 20. If they want to let her keep it at least change it. Do what they did for the MP5 and add a letter(MP5K). Call it like Mk 15 EBR or something to make it seem like the same gun but also that it is slightly different. Decrease the dmg to like 35-42, fire rate the same, and mag size to 10-20(closer to 12-15).
Alibi - Taking away a sight is NOT a nerf. It is at most an inconvenience. Her gun is still just as powerful and a bit broken as it was just not, oh no I can't see as far. Like decrease something, dmg, fire rate, mag size. Something to show that it is an actual nerf.
Oryx - Honestly for him taking away the sight is actually a nerf. Since most roam with oryx and being able to have long-distance fights is well really good for a roamer. I can agree with this one, hopefully his pick rate goes down at least 25%.
Monty/Blitz - Holy fuck, no no no no NO. The rework needed is their hitboxes, the stabbing through extended shield bug, stabbing and shooting through a shield bug/glitch, and the fact that for some reason a Kevlar Titanium alloy shield with bulletproof glass should be able to withstand an explosion better than it does. Right now if I get a C4 thrown and blown up in front of me say 5-10 feet away it can do anywhere from 60-20 dmg, 1-5 feet can do 100-60 dmg. Impacts are another problem, they do anywhere from 40-80 dmg depending upon the spot hit. See the problem here? I think a shield like Monty's should be able to withstand an explosion a lot better than it does. The only part of the rework I am okay with as a Monty 2ndary is the reload behind the shield. The other part is when running have the shield in front and arms tucked in. Keep those but don't get rid of Monty's main forms of killing someone, his shield bash, and his hipfire. The bash is my main way of killing someone who is aggressive on me or overconfident that they can kill me. The ads time of any shield is worse than anyone. Even in the promo video oryx was knocked down by blitz and had his gun up BEFORE Blitz was able to shoot. Their hitboxes, holy fuck someone has finally dethroned Ash as the broken hitbox king/queen. I get dicked due to a hitbox that isn't even right. You can get shot through your shield whether it be while ADS, Hipfiring, or even extended. Honestly, ubi needs to fix the problems that have been here since year 1 before deciding to "rework" them.
Capitao - I like it. His smoke lasts way too short right now, I'd go as far as to same make it the same time as a smoke grenade.
Tchanka - Okay really? He is a meme pick or a last-ditch effort to stop a rushing team or a Monty. He does not need 6 more canisters. "But they are reducing mag size to 5" Okay and? That just takes it from 2 full mags to 4.

The Company’s Q4 and 2022 YoY earnings against the equivalent periods of 2021 are nothing short of exceptional. And the Company said that Q1 2023 is also shaping up to be very robust.
Audited numbers don’t lie.
Take a moment and digest these stats. If you own the shares, you should be impressed. If not, consider a second look. Once viewed, take in the Company’s very recent Letter to Shareholders detailing the impressive growth potential of the Canadian Oil and Gas industry. Enterprise is a significant source of on-site infrastructure supply and management that facilitates growth.
Here are the numbers. The comprehensive earnings can be seen in Monday morning’s comprehensive Press Release (March 20/23). The most exciting stat compares the YoY 2021 per share loss of (0.05) cents to the equivalent 2022 gain of 0.05 cents: A 200% movement of an overall 10 cents.
Enterprise shares trade at approximately CDN$0.40. For Investors and Shareholders, the Company keeps its LinkedInpage up to date with articles, videos, and commentary. Consider a Follow.
As well, the Company’s YouTube page is very informative. There will be new videos later this week.

(2) The Canadian Emergency Wage Subsidy and Rent Subsidy Programs ended in October 2021.
To provide further comparability to pre-COVID operations, the Company has presented adjusted gross margin and EBITDA to reflect the results of operations without any subsidy programs.
Enterprise Group Growth Points: FY 2022
· Higher capital spending in the energy industry and increased customer activity levels have resulted in improved results. During the year, Enterprise secured additional supply and services agreements with three of its tier-one clients, contributing to improved operating results.
· The Company believes its stock remains undervalued as the Company’s book value is $0.68 per share. In addition, the Company has available tax losses of $0.17 per share and is developing a consolidated tax plan to utilize those losses. Management will continue to be aggressive in acquiring its shares.
· During the year, Enterprise secured additional supply and services agreements with three of its tier-one clients, contributing to improved operating results.
· During the year ended December 31, 2022, the Company purchased and cancelled 1,799,000 shares at $714,614, or $0.40 per share. Since initiating the share buyback program, the Company has purchased and cancelled 10,057,500 shares at $2,391,560 or $0.24 per share.
· For the year ended December 31, 2022, the company generated cash flow from operations of $5,910,830 compared to $3,500,869 in the prior year. This change is consistent with the higher activity during the year — equipment fleet to meet customer demands.
· After year end on January 23, 2023, the Company’s common shares began trading on the OTCQB Venture Market under the ticker ETOLF. This listing will help to increase Enterprise’s visibility and accessibility to a growing audience of U.S. investors.
Bottom Line
There is the argument that Enterprise’s numbers are nothing short of extraordinary (use your own adjective). And the coming year, courtesy of increased Oil and Gas Capex spending, stellar management, and new clients with business expansion among existing, including Tier One concerns. As noted in the recent LTS:
Over one year, the Company’s share price rose 40 plus percent, from 26 to 46 cents, a new high. For comparison, S&P lost 19.4%, the Nasdaq gained 8.7%, and the Dow was down almost 9%.

Confirmed COVID Hospitalizations: 285 patients (was 291 yesterday, -2.06%) ICU Hospitalizations: 27 patients (was 30 yesterday, -10.0%) Currently on Ventilator Support: 11 patients (was 13 yesterday, -15.38%) Note: Current Vent numbers are no longer supposed to be reported if it is below 11 patients
Seven day patient moving average in Virginia: 269.43 (was 265.14 yesterday, +1.62%)
Hospitalized COVID-19 patients discharged: 41 patients (was 17 yesterday)
INTERPRETATION: Cases One day of good reports all around. New cases dropped a huge 22% from yesterday's figure (over 100 less new cases today). The 7-day case average stopped it's climb and dropped over three percent.
Normally tomorrow I would expect a larger case figure, but it's always a coin toss.
For the moment (meaning today), the upwards case trend has been dealt a huge hit. It has backed off from crossing 400 average cases per day, back down to 385 or so, giving us some breathing room.
The question is will this hold a trend for a while, or restart an uphill climb? In any event, the drop today was so massive it lowered our case average back to where it was on March 17th, almost two weeks ago.
Hospitals Finally a (small) decrease in all numbers (except the 7-day average). The 7-day average rose a percent and a half as it absorbs the recent patient increases.
We had a larger discharge (finally) of 41 patients, with 35 new patients admitted. So we managed to stay under 300 patients. I've uploaded a zoomed in graph to show what has happened in the past week or so, and the small drop today.
ICUs dropped three and vents fell by two. Vents are finally getting low at 11 in use.
ICU bed patient utilization fell from 10.30% to 9.47%. Vent utilization dropped from 4.46% to 3.85%.
At least a pause for a day in increases all around.
Side Notes Long COVID is now a recognized disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504.
NOAA has issued a statement calling for 30 mph wind gusts tomorrow and 50 mph gusts much of Saturday in much of the state. If I don't appear tomorrow at any time, my power could be out. I know I've mentioned this a lot, but lots of trees around here and main electrical on poles built in the 1940s-1950s can leave power unreliable during wind storms.
If I'm not in any power outage, the old UVA report (now the VDH OEP Weekly Situation Update) should be issued sometime by 5 p.m. Usually it hits by 2 p.m., but VDH seems to be getting later and later with things. Even VHHA was running late this morning.
EXPLANATION OF FIGURES ABOVE
Total new cases reported today: New COVID cases reported by VDH today.
7-day average of new cases: movement of case curve over the last 7-days
Cases per 100,000 population 7-day average (if known): within 100,000 people, how many were positive for COVID on a rolling 7-day cycle.
State 7-Day Positivity Rate (if included): The last state average percentage of PCR coronavirus tests performed that are positive. The lower the better.
Confirmed Covid Hospitalizations: The total number of confirmed COVID-19 people in hospital who have positive results.
ICU Hospitalizations: Patients in a COVID-19 ICU bed.
Currently on Ventilator Support: Confirmed COVID-19 patients currently on ventilator support. These would be the most severe COVID cases in hospital.
Seven day patient moving average in Virginia: movement of patients in hospital curve over last 7-days
Hospitalized COVID-19 patients discharged: number of patients released since last report
NOTE: All hospital figures are as of 9 am on the date listed. Posting time can vary.

2023.03.30 19:09 mhooker2 When did you notice your biggest supply drop when decreasing sessions?

Been exclusively pumping for my 31 weeker since day 1. He will be one in 3 weeks and I’m starting to slowly wean. The transition from 7-6 pumps months ago didn’t yield much of a decrease in supply. Dropping from 6-5 last month had a little decrease but nothing alarming and I was happy about it.
I also very typically have a supply drop (usually max of 3oz per day) for a few days before my period starts (I’m very, very regular) and then it rebounds a few days in.
But damn. This drop to 4 pumps per day in the last 2 weeks has been rough. The first week was fine and I only saw a small decrease like the other drops, but in the last 3-4 days my supply has steadily tanked, upwards of 10 oz per day. Also of note, my period is due any day and my husband and I haven’t been “preventing” anything, if you will.
I’m inclined to think this is just a big tank due to my impending period and dropping to 4 pumps. But like, maybe I should pee on a stick too just in case 😂
So when did you notice the biggest drop in supply when weaning??

2023.03.30 18:37 CAMT53 ListOfShame.io - put your Fuck You Money where your mouth is!

ListOfShame.io & FuckYouMoney (FYM) - don’t be shy. You know you wanna list something.
ListOfShame.io & FuckYouMoney(FYM)
What is FuckYouMoney(FYM)
FuckYouMoney(FYM) is a new tradeable ERC-20 token that allows you to participate on ListOfShame.io. Do you want to say "fuck you" to someone or something, or maybe you just want to have a little fun and play king of the hill with ListOfShame.io. If so, put your FuckYouMoney(FYM) where your mouth is and add something to ListOfShame.io.
Do you agree or disagree with inclusion of someone or something on ListOfShame.io? If so, you can also participiate by allocating your FYM to either Ally with the author or Oppose them to raise or lower an item on ListOfShame.io respectively. When you allocate, you get to keep your FYM in your wallet while you earn on it, so it's always encouraged to allocate! Everything is maintained on the blockchain itself, for all to see. ListOfShame.io is merely an interface to view the blockchain data and interact with it.
Anyone can view the information at ListOfShame.io, and if you have browser based wallet software such as Metamask, you can easily interact with ListOfShame.io. Use the Contract button below to find the FYM contract address on Polygonscan, and add FYM as a custom token to your wallet.
Disclaimer: This list is not to be taken seriously. It is the musings of random internet folk interacting with smart contracts, and is for entertainment purposes only.
How does it work?
1. First time only, you will be asked to allow the LOSD contract the permission to allocate portions of your FYM balance. The amounts never leave your wallet, but you will be unable to transfer or spend these amounts until you Withdraw your Allocation. 2. Second, the LOSD contract will allocate the desired amount, and add your Aloocation to the List Item.

2023.03.30 18:22 twili-midna [LA] Link’s Awakening DX Review! **Spoilers**

For the first time in a while, I played through LA DX thanks to the GameBoy NSO offering. This is a game I remembered liking, though not as much as other entries. How does it hold up? Let’s get into it!
The Good:
  1. The charm is off the charts. Due to being an early handheld title, the graphics took a hit overall, but the amount of expression and emotion packed into the sprites is shocking. The music is also simple, but very well executed.
  2. The dungeons are mostly well designed, with lots of fun fights and puzzle scenarios.
  3. The item variety is great, and I respect how many optional items there are (even if some of them are less optional than others, like the Magnifying Glass).
  4. Link moves very well, almost better than in ALttP in a lot of ways. Having access to jumping via the Roc’s Feather adds a whole new layer of movement that I really enjoy.
  5. The story, while simple, still hits major emotional notes. Knowing that everyone, especially Marin, is going to disappear if you wake the Wind Fish is devastating, though at least there’s the opportunity for Marin to live on as a seagull (which I got this time).
The Bad:
  1. Unskippable bullshit text boxes anytime I even so much as breathe near a jarock/ice block drags the game down hard for me. If it was once, I’d still be annoyed, but not so much, but because it’s every goddamn time it became far too grating.
  2. Turtle Rock was incredibly annoying to navigate, and I spent a solid fifteen minutes circling it trying to find the path to the boss door.
  3. Speaking of annoying, the Wind Fish Egg requiring you to read a book that you probably tried to read at the start of the game and then completely forgot about in order to advance is a crock of shit.
  4. I know it’s a system limitation, but only having two buttons makes for a ton of menuing with a very slow interface. It’s yet another thing that slows the game down and makes it less fun.
  5. Kaepora Gaebora’s introduction, along with the constant direction at the end of every dungeon, really makes it feel like the devs didn’t trust the player to do anything without guidance, and to me signals the start of the handholding that became so unpopular in the series.
Overall, it’s a really solid game, but it has too much I found annoying to rate it as highly as its immediate predecessor. Still an 8/10 game, and better than either NES game.
If you got this far, thanks for reading. I’m planning to play Ocarina of Time through the N64 app next, and let me tell you that’s not a game I remember enjoying. Maybe this time it’ll be different. See you all next time!
