Records by the Brazilian Air Force detail giant objects
On May 19, 1986, on the so-called Official Night of UFOs in Brazil, more than 50 objects, some gigantic, were seen in 10 Brazilian states and neighboring Uruguay. One of the objects seen by people on the ground, from aircraft and captured by Brazilian Air Force (FAB) radar, was approximately 1,500 m long, being, at various times, accompanied by other smaller objects.
This was not the only episode recorded by the FAB, of colossal objects in Brazilian airspace. Ten days later, on May 29, 1986, another object, even larger, was sighted by people on the edge of the city of Santos (SP). This object was also captured by CINDACTA and APP-SP radars and its size was estimated at 11 km in length.
According to statements by flight controllers on duty that night, there were several other smaller objects, at different points in the Southeast region. At one point, such objects headed towards this larger object, on the high seas, which possibly collected them, disappearing at high speed, towards the sky.
Years later, on April 26, 2003, around 3:00 am, people in the southern region of Campinas observed a gigantic flying object, circular in shape and reddish in color, crossing over the region, heading towards the city of São Paulo. This object would have the approximate size of 1,500m in length and moved at high speed.
The Brazilian Air Force recorded the fact on a standard UFO sighting registration form. The official documentation is already publicly available on the National Archive website and on the Fenomenum Portal. Less than a year later, on March 1, 2004, another case involving colossal objects occurred. Around 06:15, an object, with an estimated size of 3,700m, was observed 46Km south of the city of Goiânia (GO).
The object, which remained in the region for approximately two hours, was observed with the naked eye and with the aid of binoculars. It was shaped like a raindrop and white in color. At the same time, radars at Anápolis Air Base (GO) captured another UFO, to the right of the first, which had an estimated size of 10Km, having a semicircular shape. A TAM pilot, passing through the region, visually confirmed the presence of the object and provided additional details. The UFO had three spikes on its bottom and two lights at its ends.
This fact was also registered in the registration form of ufological facts, adopted by the Brazilian Air Force. Official documentation on this incident is also available on the National Archives of Brazil website and on the Fenomenum Portal.
These cases are not unique. Several similar cases were recorded by the Armed Forces of different countries throughout history, confirming the unequivocal reality that part of the ufological phenomenon is of an intelligent nature, supported by very high technology not yet available in our humanity.

Hey good aviation folks!
So I’m 32, started my aviation journey at 28. Covid really messed me up, and I went from one country , to another, then back to continue, which also delayed my training.
Am I considered old ? Or is it all right? Sometimes i compare myself to others, which is not a good thing. I know everyone has a different path and timing, but sometimes it hits me.
I got my cpl already, doing twin ifr, and waiting to become a flight instructor.
Any thoughts comments opinions would be appreciated!!

So we made it past the appraisal stage, and sign closing docs on our current home tomorrow. New buyers will close later this week.
While we should be ecstatic and happy because we made it this far with selling (after a failed attempt last year), we don’t have a home for us lined up. We do have a $0 rent back through July 31st but after that we may have to go to apartments. It’s a very stressful time.
As buyers we have been offering asking price, paid closing costs, inspection for informational purposes only, repair gap, and now adding on an appraisal guarantee and offering a rent back if they need it. All of which can be risky for us. And yet… we still are not the most competitive buyer and have been passed up at least 4x.
Our realtor mentioned to us recently homes in our area (Richmond VA) are going for about 105% so In addition to the contingencies we are now going to shoot slightly over asking in addition to the aforementioned addendums. My husband and I just feel so overwhelmed rn and I know we are not alone. I really wish we were successful selling last year bc homes were going for at or slightly under asking price. It’s just a completely different experience this year.
We have a decent lineup of “coming soon” homes this week that we are going to try to see early morning. Though from our experience timing really isn’t that much of a factor. We’ve been first a few times but of course sellers are looking for the “best” offer - not necessarily the “first”! Which I can’t blame them. Anyway… just ranting! I just came back from 2 weeks in Europe. Countries visited: Italy, Portgual, and Scotland (with a layover in Germany)
Prior to my trip, I opted into the pilot US Mobile native roaming feature. I was given the pricing for the countries I was visiting and asked to pay a $500 deposit.
Since roaming data charges are very expensive, I also grabbed a 10GB data eSIM. While I was abroad, I used the data eSIM for all data and relied on native roaming for calls and texts. Everything worked out wonderfully for me. I didn't have to fiddle with APNs, every time I landed at a new location, my phone just needed a few seconds to find the right network. At one point, I even had to use my phone as a hotspot for two work video meetings, as the connection was better than the hotel wifi.
Native roaming also proved to be extremely convenient. Yes, Wi-Fi calling is free, but there was an instance where I was in a car park in a busy airport without wifi access. Both my Airbnb host and rideshare driver were able to call me and talk to me (my flight had been delayed). I also was able to call my spouse a couple of times when data was a little flimsy.
Overall, I am very happy with this option, and can't wait to see how it might be offered once it's out of its pilot phase.
I don't know what my roamin usage was yet, but US Mobile will let me know in the next 7 days.

I 21m have a girlfriend 23f. We have a good relationship, we can talk about absolutely anything. She is the best friend I have ever had. Now she decided to go on a solo vacation to turkey this summer, she travels a lot. Offered to take me with her on the trip, offered to pay for it too. But I have a summer course and it just doesn’t work. I am a full time college student and have a yearly salary around $6,000. Now she is at turkey right now, and sent me a message asking for me to pay for a business class flight home for her. That’s around $2,000. No way is that smart for me to do, so I just offered to help out some. I said I would give her $500 towards it. Well apparently since she was willing to spend thousands of dollars on me and I only offered 500 that makes it a one sided relationship. I don’t know but she makes 3k from disability per month + a full time job. While $500 may not seem like a lot to her it is a months salary for me. She is now resenting me when I’ve only ever showed love to her. I take her out to dozens of restaurants, I take her to aquariums, the beach, you name it. We have good times.
TLDR: AITA for not covering her flight home from vacation when I don’t have much income to begin with?

Alone.
Across the snow he trekked. Through the cold, he walked.
Yet, before him, he came across only bodies.
Torrhen, commander of Crowtown, was now the landless Ranger and he was not the last to leave the place he called home for decades. Brave men... his men... his brothers... his boys. Left to the hordes. He liked to think some made it to the water, to the Skagosi.
He doubted it.
The sword his smith had made him - the same smith who perished, who he watched waving a blazing torch to warn him away from coming back. That sword was gone, left lodged in the corpse of a bear brought back with half it's face missing. The grizzly beast was no less terrible in its reanimated state, and so he killed it. Yet now he was left walking through the cold, winter-dredge with only an axe he took from a pile of Thenns.
He had gone back to relieve the last of his men from the keep, but that was when they appeared. In their thousands. It would at least not be known by the world how he wept for this boys. Those tossed to the wind, left to die in the frozen corners of the world they forgot about, to defend things they knew nothing of against foes they could not dream up.
When he found his way to Castle Black, he would have things to say to Torrhen Snow. If he made it back at least. If he did not, he would curse them all for abandoning him. But maybe that would leave him to finally meet his friends, those who lay buried in the snow where none but he could remember them.
The creaking of limbs long since snapped, the clicking of bones long-since broken, of jaws no longer attached and lives no longer lived - they haunted his steps.
He was too tired to stop and fight every one he met. They were too many to waste such effort. However, in the snow he found himself angry.
One of the creatures they raised came at him - it was a fallen brother of the watch, his cloak still wrapped about him, worn by decades - centuries. It mattered not, it swung a wild and unknowing blade at him, chipped and beaten by its time buried in the snow. He slapped it aside with the flat of his axe, grabbed the creature by the neck and threw it back.
Show me your face, he demanded of the gods.
The wight looked up, blue eyes were all he recognized. It was not one of his.
When it charged, he repeated his defence, but this time, he clapped an enormous hand around its throat and crushed it. The head fell from its shoulders and the corpse spasmed as it tumbled apart.
He could hear it fumbling about as he walked on. He had no fire to finish it.

How many days had he been in the snow? The path was not marked well, this was beyond the wall, nothing was well-defined. Yet he thought he still remembered the way, but the constant snowfall made such things as keeping track of his direction hard. The only thing that kept him vaguely in the right direction were the corpses.
For the freefolk, he offered a prayer to the gods they worshipped, and continued. For the men in black, he stopped and checked them. Oly, Will, Benjen, Ed, Black Jon. Names. They formed in his mind and they planted themselves above the faces, bloodied and beaten. He remembered them as they were - smiling ruggedly, their joy a stark contrast to the cold, bitter indifference of their stations.
So far, none of them looked like they died with their back to a foe. They were always surrounded by the dead. He had failed them. But they died as men of the watch, and they died with pride. He would not so much as guess that fear filled their final moments, he allowed himself to only think of how he failed them. So, Torrhen - a man who was never taught to read or write, only learning through his time in the watch, counted as high as he ever had.
He did so with grim determination. He refused to lose count, even as he shattered the dead who clawed at him. He refused. He would remind himself of every single man he failed.

He held firm from the first day. The hundreds he encountered in his travels south... they were one thing. It was only as he found a small sign of a camp that this changed. At first, he spied the spaces for tents to be readied. He noted where sticks and trees had been carved out to use as spikes, where ditches were formed.
He had counted one-hundred-and-thirty-three dead brothers up to this point.
He followed the signs of the camp - he stood vigil over the bodies scattered. Thenns, Antlers, Milkwater. They were mixed in. Someone had found others. Someone had filled this place with those who fled and they tried to wait. They made sure to gather others, they made efforts for safety.
The flight from Crowtown was messy - he had given orders to leave, and some had gotten out fast - the old, the weak, the sick and the young. He had sent them first with many of his best.
How many lay here?
He checked them all. It took him a day. Alone, in the cold, dead winter.
He committed them to memory as he made his way through the camp. Perhaps 200 of them had found their way here, perhaps more had done so and moved on. The place was defensible. With a hill to mount their main defense in the center and tree coverage to protect from being spotted. They had done well to use the small ford that had frozen as a narrow choke where they had felled a great many of the dead.
Whoever had done this was a good planner. How many had lived because they had thought about defending this small redoubt in the abyss? He had suspected who it might have been. SO he continued to the last place they could have held, the hill.
Atop it he climbed, and over the bodies of two smaller freefolk, ones so small and frail he dare not look any longer. He found Farlen - his steward - a boy sent from the south for stealing bread to feed his sister. A lad educated by his parents, killed, fighting to rid some foreign land of a foreign god.
He had a sword in his hand where he found him.
Knelt before him, his friend. A kindly old fool who would call him up on pushing the lads too far. A man who served as long as he had in the watch. Impaled by a dozen blades. Clay One-eye had followed him to this place, followed him to find nothing when Hardhome was first lost. They were the oldest of the men there.
"One-hundred-and-ninety-nine."
He came upon castle black two days later.
How many had gone uncounted? How many forgotten? How many of his men, his boys, his sons. How many had he lost, because he was slow, because he was foolish, because he did not do better. He would maybe never know.
Of the freefolk he did not number, how many of them had fallen? Had Thistle and Igrin made it? What of the Corpse? Of Bennys? He would find out, he supposed.

My friend and I planned a spur-of-the-moment trip to Texas. Round trip from NY to Houston was under $200 but her son is an airline employee and got her a buddy pass. I arranged my flight on a different airline to arrive and depart within minutes of hers so we'd meet up at the airport around the same time. We spent 5 days in an airbnb. There was a little dust on the ceiling fan so after 2 days she complained to airbnb headquarters and got a refund plus a credit towards another apartment. We ate out daily and daily she either complained about the food after she ate it and got a refund or another meal to go, on the house. We went to the mall and she stopped in Tiffany's to get complimentary Perrier water instead of just purchasing a drink in the mall. It was finally time to go home. Her flight took off first, mine was scheduled 15 minutes later. When I landed at JFK, I called her to let her know I landed and where to meet me as my daughter was there to drive us home. She said she was still in Houston... she was not able to get a seat on stand-by! Long story short, she wasn't seated on the next two flights and ended up having to wait until the following afternoon to finally get a flight home. She had to pay for a hotel overnight, buy her dinner, and possibly breakfast, and had to spend on an Uber ride home from NYC to Long Island, and that ain't cheap! She spent way more in one day than she saved over our 5 day trip!😁🤭

A warning before we begin this little journey:
This is going to be a long one. So grab your cup of whatever you prefer, sit down and get comfortable. You are going to be here awhile. Second warning, if you make it all the way to the end of this dissertation of mine you are going to find yourself closing your browser and saying to yourself, "That guy is as full of shit as a Christmas Turkey!". And to be honest, I wouldn't blame you in the least. Hell, I still can't believe it and I actually lived through that nightmare. Anyways let's get started shall we?
IN an effort towards full transparency, I am going to say for the record here and now.... Every day that I was in the Navy I just wanted to fucking die. Every single day. Not to say I ever considered suicide but I did often wonder if something bad happened to me if it wouldn't be preferable. Nobody hated the Navy more than me. And much like so many others here, I just wanted it to end. So much in fact, I tried to sue my way out. No really. I threatened and actually tried to bring a lawsuit against the U.S Navy for breach of contract.
I joined in late 1988. Like December of 88. Yes, I was so retarded I agreed to go to basic training at Great Lakes Illinois, December 21st. Yeah, you are already saying to yourself, "Yep...this guy really is an idiot". Correct you are sir! Needless to say we practically froze to death. Not something I care to repeat. Now my job going in was what was known as "AW". Or more correctly, "Anti-Submarine Warfare". There were three platforms for this. A Jet known as an S-3. A Helo and the much sought after P-3 Orion. Everyone wanted that P-3 because it kept you from ever climbing aboard a ship. Considering at that time they could not be launched from a carrier. Thankfully, I never had any of the three thrown at me. Fortunately I never got that far.
After the initial 8 week nightmare in Great Mistakes (is it still called that???) I was sent to Pensacola Florida where I was to complete what was then called, "Aircrew school". You may know this as the place those Navy instructors murdered Lee Mirecki by drowning him. A lovely place to be I can assure you. Somewhere during that ordeal down there I injured myself climbing a 12 foot wall. Although to what extent I wasn't fully aware at that time. I to this day cannot comprehend what running an obstacle course, climbing over walls and crawling through sand could possibly have anything to do with flying around in an airplane while hunting down submarines...but hey!! Welcome to the Navy right? After that fiasco where I learned that I could swim literally a mile in a flight suit, tread water for 30 minutes at a time...and quite literally almost drown in the helo-dunker... I was off to the dreaded Millington. I'd like to digress somewhat and say that through all of this...slowly day by day my attitude was going right the fuck downhill. To use an analogy, my entire outlook was going down faster than a 2nd cousin at a Tennessee family reunion. (And that's pretty fast!!) So I began looking a way out. But as hard as I tried, I couldn't find one. I never felt so trapped in my entire life. At that time all aviation schools were sent to Millington where you sat in a classroom day in and day out. Mine was no different. But my injury was getting worse. After my second trip to medical I was told there was no way I was going to be able to do my job. As potentially I could find myself in that same P-3 for up to 10-12 hours at a time. They told me, "Don't worry...we'll find you another job". Oh Shit! did I just stumble onto my exit?!?!? Things start looking up:
I was sent to the navy detailer. I don't have a precise definition of what this woman's job entails but we will call her career councilor for the Navy. While looking for a respectable way out of this God forsaken disaster I put myself in, I had read through my contract forwards and backwards. I knew exactly what it said and how it said it. I had my way out. (Yes dear gracey....there is a light at the end of the tunnel) In that contract it states that if something happens due to circumstances beyond my control, that make me ineligible for my job, that I have the choice of either reassignment or separation from the Navy. THERE WAS MY EXIT. When I mentioned this to the career councilor lady she said, "Well..I'm not sure if they will let you go". I informed her that if they didn't I was going to spend the rest of my enlistment suing the Navy. (And I meant it) She said she would get back to me in a few days. I immediately went to the lawyer we had on base and explained what was happening. He read the relevant part of the contract and then said that I was right. In fact, he stated that he doubted very seriously if this would even make it to court and that I was definitely getting screwed. However he made it very clear that he could not represent me as he was the Navy lawyer and could not represent me against his own employer. Fortunately, it never got that far.
The Phone rings:
I was working in the barracks 2 days later when she called me again. She said, "Ok Johnny, if that is what you want they agreed to let you go". I wanted to be very clear on this. I made sure we weren't talking about a general discharge or some other crap. An honorable discharge, no strings attached, right?!?!? She agreed and asked me to come to her office later that day. I put the phone down and went screaming down the hallway of our barracks. No really. I went running down the hallway screaming! People were sticking their heads out their doors and shit wondering what was wrong with me. They must have thought I was a fucking lunatic. My God, it was finally over!!!!
I arrived at her office and I signed a few things. She looked at me at one point and said, "Ya know Johnny I'm supposed to try and keep you in the Navy. Try to find you another job, etc. But in your case I don't think I'm even going to bother". I said nothing. (Did I mention it was finally over?)
I was then sent to some E-6 that does discharges. Yeoman I guess?? He had me sign some more crap, turn in a few things the Navy had given me such as my flight suit, flight jacket, k-bar knife, etc. He looks up and says, "You know...most people want to keep the leather flight jacket. If you just write down stolen/missing they will simply take it out of your final pay". I asked how much? He said it would be about 85 dollars. OH HELL NO!!! I told him he could keep it as I really didn't want ANY reminders of this nightmare!! You can have it all! I had actually brought my sea-bag and tried to offer him that as well but he said he didn't want it. He then stuffs everything that I signed and some other crap into a large envelope. He tells me that this will now take about 8 or 9 weeks for this to go through. I SHIT! I had been in the Navy long enough by then to know that nothing gets done in a few days, So I was not sure what I was expecting. But the horrifying prospect of this hell on Earth lasting another 8 to 9 weeks was more than I could fathom. I couldn't take another 8 - 9 weeks for shit sakes! I wanted to know just why in the hell does it have to take 8 or 9 weeks?!?! Apparently it had to go around and a bunch of people sign off on it. Some kind of inter-base company mail thing or some shit. And that's when I had an epiphany!!!!! Wait a minute, why can't I just take it to them?? Needless to say that E-6 looked at me like I had 3 eyes in my head and says, "Do you realize how many people have to sign off on this??". I explained that I could do it. Still not believing what I was proposing I was asked if I had a car. I had to tell him no. That's when he became what appeared to be disgusted. "Oh come on! You can't possibly walk this around the base!". I asked him if I could please be allowed to try. That if I failed what is the worst that can happen? I bring it back to him and he drops it in the mail right? After a few seconds of thought he says, "Well it's no skin off my ass if you want to walk all over hell's half acre....be my guest". And I began. Now there's not too many things that inspire men these days. Perhaps it's the quest for the holy grail. Archeologists trying to track down the Ark of the Covenant. Or in this case... the end of this nightmare!! The base at Millington is not some tiny outpost by any means. I walked. And I walked. I didn't stop to eat....nothing. I walked. The next day I was up and out the door and waiting at my next destination before they had even opened the doors. Nobody wanted out of the Navy as bad as I did! And I walked throughout the entire next day. And the next day....same thing. By 3:30 I was finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. My God, it was over. I dragged myself back to that Yeoman's office with everything in hand. He was shocked all to hell to see me. Or at least surprised I was still standing upright and not on a stretcher. I was done. He went through everything one last time and then shook his head....."Ok....you're done. I guess you are out of the Navy!". I said nothing. (probably shock???) I got up to leave and about the time I reached for the door he says to me, "I can't believe I'm getting you out of the Navy this quick". I almost completely lost my shit right then and there. I was so close to saying, "You fucking idiot! You didn't do anything! I'm the sonofabitch that is going to need 4 days to recover from that hike you sent me on! All you did was sit behind your desk these last 3 days and gain 10 pounds!!". But I thought better of it. I figured he would try to get me for insubordination even though I wasn't in the Navy any longer and try to keep me there another 2 months or some shit. And believe me, we had sick fucks in the Navy that would GLADLY do something like that just to screw someone over. (And they would get off on doing it, providing them with weeks if not months of shower-head masturbation material in the process) You think I'm exaggerating? Believe me, I'm not.
I called my parents and asked that they be in the parking lot in a few hours. I went back, packed up my crap and dragged it all out to the curb where I waited for more than 2 and a half hours. I didn't even want to sit in the barracks and wait. I didn't want to see the inside of that shithole ever again. I sat on the curb and waited. Around 6pm my parents arrived and just as quickly as possible I threw everything I had in the van and closed the rear cargo doors with me inside. We drove through the gate and I never looked back. My God, it was finally over.
And THAT IS HOW I WENT FROM ACTIVE DUTY TO CIVILIAN IN THREE and a HALF DAYS.
As a side note: The Navy said I could never fly due to my injury. That I could never be in an airplane. 10 years later I received my pilot's license.

Me and my husband are going on our honeymoon (only four years late). It's a city break, three nights, quite a long flight there and back. I've sought assistance from the airline already and they've been massively helpful. I've also bought a collapsible crutch as my mobility (knee/hip/back, left side) can sometimes be affected by overexertion and possibly by the flight (I don't know, as I haven't flown in six years). We haven't planned activities or anything, we're mostly aiming to wander and just enjoy the childfree time together. Does anyone have any advice for traveling with a disability that could be helpful? I'm also have massive anxieties over using the crutch, most of the time I hobble through the pain, but I always think someone's going to look at me and just assume I'm fat (I am overweight by about 40lbs but that's a consequence of my illness, not the cause).

The kitchen was once again filled with the scent of boiling crab. Al and Kyra were manning the cooking station, occasionally poking down crab parts that would try to float to the surface. The rest of the division and I were separating meat from shell.
Al’s injured arm was coming along nicely. The gauze that lined his arm under the bandages stayed clean the last time he checked himself. He could even somewhat use it now. While he couldn’t do more physically intensive activities like splitting body shells with his knife, he could still do smaller things like cooking.
I looked up from my work when I heard an annoyed sigh coming from my human. Oddly enough, Kyra was shooting a glare of pure disgust in my direction. Not really sure what I did to warrant that kind of look.
As I sat there confused, a large hand reached over me and snatched the piece of crab meat I was working on. Alright, who’s the smart guy? I turned to chew out the thief, however I stopped when I was greeted by a wall of scales. The list of Arxur I knew that were this large was dangerously short.
Yeah, danger is a good word for this.
I bowed my head down in fealty. “Your cruelness. How may I serve you.”
An audible swallow could be heard above me. “I’m not here for you Welfare Officer. Human, follow me… Also, this food is awful.”
Chief Hunter Shaza pivoted away from me and began walking towards the door that was currently being manned by a pair of guards. There was nothing more I wanted to do at that moment than to tell her to fuck off. After the wound she inflicted on Al, she would have the self-entitlement to come in and start commanding him to do her biding. I stayed silent though, maybe I’m a coward.
As I started to sink into my own thoughts, I felt my arm getting tugged. Al was standing by me, motioning his head for me to follow him. But she doesn’t want me. I don’t want to get her mad… I forced myself up. My legs felt like lead as I fought every instinct in my head. I’m not going to run and hide. I’m not a prey.
I pulled myself along, following Al into the hallway. The door guards looked me over as they began tailing us. My heart skipped a beat as Al hopped forward a few paces, aligning himself to be beside the Chief Hunter.
Worse yet, he started to talk. “Chief Hunter Shaza. I’d like to have a quick conversation with you. There is a restroom down the hall.”
She lazily swung her head towards him and gave a grunt. “Fine.”
You stupid bastard.
I quietly followed them into the restroom, unsure of what was to come. The guards stopped at the door to ensure we had privacy. Shaza stood next to a sink while looking the two of us over.
Al postured himself respectfully and spoke. “Chief Hunter Shaza. I have raised the price of my cooperation.”
The Chief Hunter gave pause. “And what made you think you have a say in this?”
Al tapped his bandaged arm. “Besides the obvious one? I suspect you’re not in a good position to be saying no. So I might as well take advantage of the situation.”
She didn’t like that. “You think I’m vulnerable? Like a weak prey.”
Al kept a straight face. “Your Cruelness. You lost a quarter of your bargaining power and have an angry Prophet Descendant demanding results. You came to me to give you those results. I will give you what you need, but I want you to do something for me in return.”
Her eye twitched in anger. Al got a bullseye on this one. The fact she hadn’t gutted him yet was proof that she was desperate. The Prophet Descendant was the only person in the Dominion that could have her executed. And it looked like she was fearing for her neck.
Shaza approached my human, grabbing the top of his head and looking him in the eyes. “What do you want?”
“I want Varce here to be given top priority in the Dominion’s eugenics program. I want every one of his kids to be supplied with big swaths of fertile land for raising syasaras. I want his kids to never know hunger.”
The senior officer exhaled a chuckle while releasing Al’s head. “That’s it? You got me worked up over nothing… I’ll write a recommendation if you offer anything worthwhile to me.”
I was speechless. I’d told Al a couple of times about how I wanted to get into the eugenics program. This was a dream come true. To not only get to father the next generation, but for them to be guaranteed a good life as well. I’d owe Al a debt I’d never be able to fully pay. I… I just… Thank you.
A firm hip check to my outer thigh brought me back to reality. Shaza was already walking out the door as Al waved me a goodbye. With everyone gone, I mulled over what happened as I washed my claws. My life has gotten so much better since I met my human. I really do need to think of a way to show him my gratitude.
As I strolled my way back to the kitchen, it occurred to me that vice admiral hadn’t given me any notice of Shaza’s arrival. I pulled out my holopad while entering the kitchen. Kyra gave me a worried look that I alleviated with a joyful nod.
I relaxed in a chair while messaging the vice admiral. “Vice Admiral, are you aware that Chief Hunter Shaza is back?”
He replied. “I was unaware of this. Thank you for the update. I’ll make accommodations for my guest.”
She just zips around as she pleases with no regard for others, doesn’t she? No one ever standing up to her has certainly given Shaza a number of “personality traits”. It explains a lot really.
I peered up from my holopad and looked around the room. The first half of the meat had been de-shelled while the second half of the crab was still boiling. Al’s hard boiled egg plate was only half eaten. I made a mental note to take that home for my human.

I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling waiting for Al’s return. The goober left his holopad at the cooking station as a timer so I haven’t been able to get status updates from him. I know that he was acting like everything was fine when he left, but I was still concerned he’d show up with another gored arm. He really is quite fragile. His skin is soft and weak. He has barely any physical strength in comparison to an Arxur. He needs someone like me there for him. Someone that will crush those that try to do him harm.
I lamented the fact that I didn’t follow him after the restroom. That was another failure on my part. It wouldn’t have been the end of the world if I stayed with him. He can barely handle a couple of pissy humans, yet he thought he could stand against a superior being like Shaza. I sunk into my darker thoughts.
What if I were to lose him? I’ve effectively been alone my entire life. The danger of Betterment labeling me defective for reaching out to others prevented me from ever forming anything meaningful with people. The only reason I risked it with Al was because I figured I could pass it off as a weird human thing. But now that I have him, I just don’t think I could let go. I can’t see myself going back to pretending to be an empty husk.
I almost felt sickly. My stomach felt weighted down by the intrusive thoughts of being alone again. Kyra would probably fade into the background again. Tarth would still be chatty, but I’d imagine his words would return to being meaningless noise meant to incite anger.
The sound of the common room door opening made me bound out of bed. I darted to my bedroom door and opened it to greet Al. The blond hairball happily waved as he walked over to greet me. I pulled him into my room so we could spend time together.
My human started talking with a big grin. “Hey Varce, guess what? Tomorrow morning, you’ll be receiving a flight itinerary to Wriss. Make sure to have lots of fun. I’ll hold down the fort for you here, okay? Oh! And drink lots of water.”
I couldn’t stop myself from letting a grin slip. “So Chief Hunter Shaza liked your offer?”
“Oh yeah. The Dominion is going to be in a much better position here in a couple of days. Probably not going to be great for our job security though.”
As long as I get to keep Al around, I don’t mind. “That’s good. Your probably hungry by now. Take a seat.”
I led him over to my bed and gave him his egg plate. I loaded it up with some crab from dinner as well. He really doesn’t eat enough in my opinion, so I’ll make sure he stays in tiptop condition.
Al gave me a smile when I sat next to him. “Thanks Varce. I’m gonna be honest though. I just ate a bunch so if you could help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.”
How? Did he stop by the main facility to cook something on one of the hotplates? “I’m not going to turn down free food. What did you eat anyway?”
“Vice Admiral sent a harchen over as a gift. Shaza offered me some. I think she was trying to do some kind of purity check on me.”
I missed my favorite little predator’s first foray into something besides tilfish? Dammit. She stole that moment from me.
“Oh. So how was it?”
Al grimaced. “It sort of tasted like somebody accidentally dropped it in the dirt. Maybe some of the ‘gamey’ flavor could be cooked out.”
I plucked a couple of eggs from Al’s plate. “Next time some harchen rations show up, I’ll give you a bit to cook up back at the kitchen. Deal?”
“Sure. I don’t know if it’ll beat these eggs though.”
I can’t argue with that. The cooked crab meat is kinda meh, but these hard boiled eggs with salt? I could live off of this stuff. Cleaning the cooked tilfish egg slime out of the pots in the restroom was even a fair trade off as far as I was concerned.
Speaking of… “What was the deal with you wanting to talk to Shaza in the restroom of all places? There are plenty of empty rooms you could have used.”
“I didn’t want any unwelcome eyes observing our conversation. The only places that don’t have cameras in this cattlefarm are staterooms, officer quarters, and restrooms. Shaza doesn’t want anything we talk about to be recorded.”
That got a little chuckle out of me. “Is she seriously THAT concerned about someone seeing her with a human?”
Al gave me a confused look. “What? No. Varce, the humans captured Chief Hunter Isif and then suddenly showed up right behind our fleet. There’s a very real chance that humans have infiltrated almost all of our digital systems since Isif had access to them. All of the higher ups in the Dominion are going radio silent right now until the situation gets resolved. Don’t tell anyone this. It’s supposed to be super secret. We’ve actually been giving out tons of misinformation on our communication systems while we patch things up.”
Shit… I wasn’t aware of that.
My human continued. “Yeah. It’s a whole thing right now. According to the tech guys, they’ve pinned down most of the potential leak points. They’re going to do a mass shut down and purge sooner or later… Oh. Funny thing. They all thought for sure that you were a smurf account that was giving out human propaganda for like the first week after you released the guide. They thought they were extracting sensitive data when they asked us questions. Fucking hilarious.”
What? “They thought I was a UN internet spy? Okay, there’s some irony in there somewhere.”
We (mostly me) finished off Al’s food plate and set it aside. It was fairly late, so we decided to call it a night. Al crouched down to fish out his foam pad from under my bed. The pad was really thin all things considered and not really appropriate to sleep on long term. Well that’s one thing I could do to improve his quality of life.
I snaked my arm around Al’s abdomen and pulled him onto my bed with me. I knew for a fact that he would be more comfortable on a soft officer mattress then some crap foam sheet.
I dragged him under my bed covers. “Here. Just sleep on the bed. Making you sleep on the floor for a month was honestly a really shit move on my part.”
Al awkwardly responded. “Uh… Okay. This is a lot better.”
“No worries. You’re a few degrees warmer than me, so this is an improvement for both of us.”
I was very much intending on stealing some of his body heat. I’d say the arrangement was mutually beneficial overall. Who knows, maybe one day humans and the Arxur people could have a something beneficial like what my friend and I have.

Last month, while we were apart, she met a very friendly guy at a social event whom she initially thought was gay. She's bi and loves connecting with LGBTQ community so naturally let her guard down and shared her lovely side. She's a great listener and has ability to have great conversations. Which probably drove this guy to fall for her even more.
On a lunch date, she realized he had romantic intentions. To spare his feelings, she sent him a text saying she's physically attracted to him but she's started to develop feelings for another guy. And that she had to think a lot to communicate the same.
(Basically she lied to avoid letting him down too strong.)
She did try to tell me a little of what happened over the phone. But started with, "I met a guy" and smiled/blushed. I was uncomfortable with that lingo so I didn't dive deep and changed the topic and didn't pay much attention to the details. English isn't her first lingo and dismissed it as a bad use of words. I see now, how I should've clarified further and learned more about it then to advise better. My fault here.
Later when we met again, we argued about why she had to create an elaborate lie vs just being upfront. She said she didn't want to be that meme girl that screams, "I have a bf" everytime a friendly guy hits on her. So, although I'm very hurt, I kinda get her here. Although I want her to just be upfront from now on and say things like, " me and my bf" in conversation like how I rô.
But in that moment, things didn't add up for me. I was very emotional and I saw her texts. Ik this is bad on my end. I don't do this and will work on the trust issue.
What I saw:
I saw they met a bit. And it was friendly so all good. But what really triggered me was when I saw this section:

After seeing this message, I flipped out. Firstly, I wouldn't say this to another women I admire especially after learning she's in a relationship. I think super sleazy and inappropriate. Not something I'd say it if l'd like to be just friends.
Especially because he remained her friend after that and invited her to other dance parties which involve drinking, sensual dancing and the parties go on till late. I'm fine with this as long as its a real friend that is respectful and not trying to manipulate my lady cause she's nice. And the last day left, he was all nice and said she was the best thing about his trip, etc..
What's more, Later on her sent her texts like, "I miss your face." To which she replied, " aww that's so sweet. You're only one hour flight away."
This is okay to say to a genuine friend but I feel like she should'nt not encouraged him so much knowing that obviously has intimate interests with her. Especially if he's to become a good friend that we both can hang out with (which I'd definitely like.
Now, although she didn't respond further or engage with him as much, it bothered me that she didn't draw the line when faced with such comments. And didn't consider how I'd feel hurt vs her. She told me she kept an open mind and was fine because he was at least being honest.
We argued about the above but we were in a limbic state which concluded with her having a me vs you mindset. She said, "I shouldn't worry as she's done nothing wrong."
Thinking now, that's the wrong conclusion. We're a team and it's us vs the problem. Not each other. So we can't agree to disagree on this situation. She needs to realize her man's discomforts should affect her. And maybe I can share perspectives and advice about men in ways she can't understand.
This guy might be genuinely trying to be a close friend. But Imo calling him out then and there would be perfect to test his true intentions. After all, he would 100% not say that when I'm around.
I would like her understand guys aren't saints. Especially single guys. They have nothing to lose and when sharing comments like that are most likely being sleazy.
I'm afraid she's trying so hard not to be that meme girl and becoming the other meme gf stringing along bffs that are clearly into her and not genuine friends. Like I have really good girl friends who I openly chat about my gf and have never crossed the line with me. I'd just like my partner to feel we're a team and not battling each other.

For the past 3 years I've been dealing with Emotional Numbness and Sexual Dysfunction that all began after an intense and chronic episode of stress, depression, and anxiety. My body and brain was constantly in fight or flight mode and then one day all of a sudden everything just seemed to shut down and things haven't been the same since.
Regarding the Sexual Dysfunction, I have Erectile Dysfunction. My erection quality has significantly diminished. I no longer wake up in the morning with an erection, I can't get an erection or maintain one, and I don't get random erections anymore.
My sex drive is also gone. I used to have a very high sex drive. I no longer feel sexual attraction, desire, thoughts, etc. I no longer have an urge to have sex or even masturbate.
I've also noticed that I have reduced sensation to my penis. When I try to stimulate it, it just feels dead.
With the Emotional Numbness, my emotions are severely blunted. I can't feel arousal, I can't feel adrenaline, I can't laugh like I used to, I can't feel euphoria, etc. I also can no longer feel stress hormones. I can no longer feel the sensation of my heart beating out of my chest when I am in adrenaline inducing sensations.
The Emotional Blunting and the Sexual Dysfunction have been the most bothersome symptoms, but other symptoms I have noticed in addition to this are: I don't have an appetite, I have muscle tension, and I also have brain fog/head pressure.
I believe that episode of intense stress, anxiety, and depression caused inflammation to my brain and body that has been difficult to reverse.
I've had my Hormones checked via blood. My Cortisol in the morning was pretty elevated. I had an ACTH Stimulation Test done, but it actually revealed my Cortisol was a bit lower than it should be. My Endocrinologist had me take Hydrocortisone for 8 weeks, but I felt no difference.
I also had an MRI of my Brain and Pituitary Gland and both were normal.
I am currently seeing a Functional Medicine Doctor and he ordered further testing including a Cortisol Saliva Test and a 24 Hour Dried Urine Test.
These were the abnormalities noted from my blood tests:
1) My Vitamin D was insufficient. The value was 28.3: Reference Range: 31.0 -80.0 ng/mL.
2) My White Blood Cell Count was low. The value was 3.52. Reference Range: 4.00 - 11.00 K/uL
3) My Vitamin A was high. The value was 62.5. Reference Range: 18.9 - 57.3 ug/dL
4) My Estradiol was high. The value was 49 pg/mL. Reference Range: < OR = 39 pg/mL
4) I had an Essential Fatty Acid Deficiency.
5) I had an Increased Insulin Level.
6) My Vitamin B6 was on the lower side.
7) My Testosterone levels were normal. They were listed at 872 ng/dL. Reference Range: 250-1100 ng/dL.
8) My Free Testosterone was a little high. It was listed at 160.2 pg/mL. Reference Range: 35.0 - 155.0 pg/mL.
9) My Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) was high. It was listed at 98 ng/dL. Reference Range: 12-65 ng/dL.
10 Cortisol, A.M. was slightly elevated via blood. It was listed at 22.3 mcg/dL. Reference Range 8 A.M. (7-9 A.M.) Specimen: 4.0-22.0.
I also had a 24 Hour Dried Urine Test and Saliva Test that revealed the following:
1) b-Pregnanediol was below range. The value was 32.0 ng/mg. Normal Range: 75-400.
2) a- Pregnanediol was on the low end of range. The value was 31.4 ng/mg. Normal Range: 20-130.
3) Estradiol (E2) was above the range. The value was 2.2 ng/mg. Normal Range: 0.50-2.2.
4) Estriol (E3) was above the range. The value was 10.6 ng/mg. Normal Range: 2-8.
5) 4-OH-E1 was above the range. The value was 0.8 ng/mg. Normal Range: 0-0.8.
6) Total Estrogen was above the range. The value was 34.8 ng/mg. Normal Range: 10-34.
7) 2-Methoxy-E1 was on the high end of range. The value was 2.34 ng/mg. Normal Range: 0-2.8.
8) Androsterone was above the range. The value was 3157.0 ng/mg. Normal Range: 500-3000.
9) 5b-Androstanediol was on the high end of range. The value was 244.6 ng/mg. Normal Range: 40-250.
10) Saliva Cortisol - Waking (W) Was above the range. The value was 6.3 ng/mL. Normal Range: 1.6 - 4.6.
11) Saliva Cortisol - W+30 min was on the low end of range. The value was 3.96 ng/mL. Normal Range: 3.7 - 8.2.

The Nurse Practitioner gave me three supplement recommendations:

2) Vitamin D3 2500iu (100 Softgels) (Jarrow Formulas): Please take 1 gel, once / day.
3) B6/B1 Plus Zinc (90 capsules) (Biotics Research): Please take 1 capsule, once / day.
I am also currently seeing a Psychiatrist. I've tried Wellbutrin starting at 150MG, then 300MG, and then 400MG to no avail. I then tried Rexulti along with the Wellbutrin and it didn't help. I then tried Trintellix and that didn't help. He put me on Auvelity for 8 weeks and I felt no difference. He is currently having me take a low dose of Geodon along with the Auvelity for the last 4 weeks. So far not much of a difference.
This is where I stand right now. I am still investigating and working with my Psychiatrist as well as my Functional Medicine Practitioner.

My last build unfortunately died last night, the motherboard gave out and while I can find a replacement for a i5-4690k its definitely time to enter 2023 and start mostly from scratch again. Main uses for the build will be gaming with Football Manager my most played game but also quite a fair bit of Microsoft Flight Simulator & the upcoming boxing game Undisputed which is in early access. Ideally I'd like a top end machine that'll last quite a while and can be upgraded consistently.

I think I might be able to salvage some parts from my previous build but would like some advice. I currently have a 2070 card which I'm looking to keep for now and not include a new GFX as part of the build. Hopefully I'll also be able to use my AX760 Corsair PSU with this build, although if things have moved on that much I'm willing to buy a new PSU.

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

Down the line I would be interested in Overclocking, I did some basic on my last machine, mainly CPU. I did some mild overclocking with my last i5 processor but its not a massive need to do, ideally I'd like a machine that's newer and supports upgrading in the future so the latest MOBO socket/DDR5 is what I'm looking at but I've not kept track of how PC building has moved on since I built my last machine.

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)

I'm also not yet looking to upgrade monitors and will be using 2x 1080p monitors, in the future this is something I'll upgrade but for now looking at MOBO, RAM, Processor, SSD, Cooling & Case & anything else I've completely forgotten. WiFi and Bluetooth would be nice on the MOBO but I'll ethernet in most likely anyway to the machine. The last machine was watercooled with Corsair H100 but I'm not bothered about watercooling again unless it makes too much sense these days.

What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.

WiFI included but I'll wire it via ethernet as well, WiFI incase I decide to move house/room and need to connect.

Would be nice to have a glass sided case as those seem to be popular these days. Not overly bothered about RGB. Would like the build to look neat inside with not many visible wires so a case to hide is nice.

We're in a long term monogamous relationship for 3.5 years and both love kizomba, and bachata (sensual dances). She's beautiful and very good dancer so most men are smithen by her. Now, while I trust her and know it's just a dance, I sometimes feel uneasy watching her dance intimately with strangers. I'm working on it, but I own it as ofcourse I'll get triggered when other men dance intimately with my love
So the incident:
Last month, while we were apart, she met a very friendly guy at a social event whom she initially thought was gay. She's bi and loves connecting with LGBTQ community so naturally let her guard down and shared her lovely side. She's a great listener and has ability to have great conversations. Which probably drove this guy to fall for her even more.
On a lunch date, she realized he had romantic intentions. To spare his feelings, she sent him a text saying she's physically attracted to him but she's started to develop feelings for another guy. And that she had to think a lot to communicate the same.
(Basically she lied to avoid letting him down too strong.)
She did try to tell me a little of what happened over the phone. But started with, "I met a guy" and smiled/blushed. I was uncomfortable with that lingo so I didn't dive deep and changed the topic and didn't pay much attention to the details. English isn't her first lingo and dismissed it as a bad use of words. I see now, how I should've clarified further and learned more about it then to advise better. My fault here.
Later when we met again, we argued about why she had to create an elaborate lie vs just being upfront. She said she didn't want to be that meme girl that screams, "I have a bf" everytime a friendly guy hits on her. So, although I'm very hurt, I kinda get her here. Although I want her to just be upfront from now on and say things like, " me and my bf" in conversation like how I rô.
But in that moment, things didn't add up for me. I was very emotional and I saw her texts. Ik this is bad on my end. I don't do this and will work on the trust issue.
What I saw:
I saw they met a bit. And it was friendly so all good. But what really triggered me was when I saw this section:

Her: Oh, tell me.
Him: Well, it started with us dancing bachata and then moving to us doing intimate things.

After seeing this message, I flipped out. Firstly, I wouldn't say this to another women I admire especially after learning she's in a relationship. I think super sleazy and inappropriate. Not something I'd say it if l'd like to be just friends.
Especially because he remained her friend after that and invited her to other dance parties which involve drinking, sensual dancing and the parties go on till late. I'm fine with this as long as its a real friend that is respectful and not trying to manipulate my lady cause she's nice. And the last day left, he was all nice and said she was the best thing about his trip, etc..
What's more, Later on her sent her texts like, "I miss your face." To which she replied, " aww that's so sweet. You're only one hour flight away."
This is okay to say to a genuine friend but I feel like she should'nt not encouraged him so much knowing that obviously has intimate interests with her. Especially if he's to become a good friend that we both can hang out with (which I'd definitely like.
Now, although she didn't respond further or engage with him as much, it bothered me that she didn't draw the line when faced with such comments. And didn't consider how I'd feel hurt vs her. She told me she kept an open mind and was fine because he was at least being honest.
We argued about the above but we were in a limbic state which concluded with her having a me vs you mindset. She said, "I shouldn't worry as she's done nothing wrong."
Thinking now, that's the wrong conclusion. We're a team and it's us vs the problem. Not each other. So we can't agree to disagree on this situation. She needs to realize her man's discomforts should affect her. And maybe I can share perspectives and advice about men in ways she can't understand.
This guy might be genuinely trying to be a close friend. But Imo calling him out then and there would be perfect to test his true intentions. After all, he would 100% not say that when I'm around.
I would like her understand guys aren't saints. Especially single guys. They have nothing to lose and when sharing comments like that are most likely being sleazy.
I'm afraid she's trying so hard not to be that meme girl and becoming the other meme gf stringing along bffs that are clearly into her and not genuine friends. Like I have really good girl friends who I openly chat about my gf and have never crossed the line with me. I'd just like my partner to feel we're a team and not battling each other.

TL;DR: I (24M) met M (23) on Bumble and was captivated by her from the start. We had an incredible time together during her visit, and I fell deeply in love. However, she was uncertain about us, and our communication faded. Now I'm heartbroken and finding it difficult to let go.
