Hey all!
I had a notification overnight that my debit card had been used to purchase groceries for a merchant I dont use. Its a grocery delivery service.
Now that ive disputed the transaction, will the bank investigate into the delivery details further? I dont understand these scams where they purchase something to be delivered - doesnt that "out" the scammer? Or is it more a test to see if i notice the transaction?

So I accepted a batch earlier. $27.92 22/32 going 3.1 miles. I get to the start, click on start shopping and the screen immediately goes to the twirling carrots.

I shop the order, super nice elderly man in an assisted living community. Get to delivery, got lost tryna find his room. I guess they make those places like mazes, with a lot of locked doors, so they residents canât get out and wander off.
Finally find him, give him his groceries and as Iâm walking away, I complete delivery and I got paid the full amount. He increased his already good tip, up a few bucks, to an even $25 shortly after I left.

Hi. I found a distributor selling a certain brand of coffee at a good price and ordered a large number of units. The brand itself is not gated, but the coffee is considered "food" so I needed to provide an invoice from my distributor in order to get approved to sell in "grocery and gourmet foods" category.
So I provided the invoice which complies with all the invoice requirements listed, but I got an email from Amazon saying they have not approved me.
The denial reason listed was: "We were not able to verify the supplier information listed on the invoice provided. Make sure all supplier information is accurate and up to date, and that you only source from reliable suppliers."
And they are requesting the following: "Copies of invoices, receipts, contracts, delivery orders or authorization letters from your supplier's supplier issued in the last 365 days. -- If you are not the brand owner, provide an authorization letter and a complete set of documentation to prove a valid supply chain."
The problem is, I asked my distributor if he can get me copies of these documents from HIS distributor, but he said that he cannot. Which I can't really blame him for many reasons.
And about the authorization letter they are requesting, this coffee brand is a very large corporation and I doubt they will agree to give me an "authorization letter". 2016 - 2019 We combined out income and I took over finances completely with no help. I agreed to join the family business after finishing my degree in May 2016 and also got my real estate license ( boss MIL was also a broker). We paid $800 per month for private insurance and had a traumatic delivery that came to another $18,000 after insurance coverage. We spent a lot of money on stuff to entertain her at home; she never liked anything, not even a swing. We hired a nanny to be at our office with us full time from age 1 month to 3. I was guilt tripped and manipulated to stay; she stated we would make the changes necessary and I would start taking over her job. Of course nothing at all changed. This hurt us financially because I wasnât taking care of our finances and was too upset. I did take over our business contract work so we didnât have to work on that during our free time. Reflection
I feel like our lives have been a wreck the last 3-6 years and I refuse to fall back into it. I feel like not having benefits has hurt us more than we ever imagined it would. Just this year so far weâve paid $2400 for his emergency root canal and crown. $400 for a consultation and CT scan for my nose for sinus issues. $3500 for a new fence for our dogs. It seems to never end.
I was upset with myself for awhile; I am trying hard to focus on the future. We need to learn to plan and save for large expenses. I am highly considering separating our finances and splitting everything proportionally. He has yet to actually help me with managing our finances although I have mentioned and asked numerous times. He is also supposed to be evaluated for ADHD. He does try and heâs a great partner besides his mom problems and not helping with finances. He thinks just not spending money is enough for our finances. Our therapist thinks us getting away ( even if it is only part of the year ) will change my husband and his dynamic with his mother. I hope he will fall in love with where we are moving, and agree to stay there permanently and sell our home/property in Texas.

We both had our real estate licenses but never made anything until 2019-2022. It took up 8+ hours or so of my weekly hours then a lot of our weekends. In 2016, our contract work increased to $30,000 and payments changed to larger payments during our busy time of the year. I feel like that was when we started relying on that income to bail us out of debt.
Nov 2019-April 2020. Refinanced our land and did a construction loan to rebuild our house. Our daughter was out of school and at home with me working which was very hard. Our house was finished April 2020 two weeks before everything started shutting down further it seems. Debt was maybe around 10k because we forgot to plan for the carport that still doesnât have a slab. Itâs just dirt.
2020-2021 We told our boss MIL we were leaving the business. We were tired of the stress and chaos with her and low wages with no benefits. We were given raises ( $33 and $40 per hour ) to keep us there. I told her several months later in a formal notice I was quitting. I was guilt tripped and manipulated to stay; she stated we would make the changes necessary and I would start taking over her job. Of course nothing at all changed. I was a wreck and quit without notice 6 months later after trying again 2 months before because I was a serious mess. This hurt us financially because I wasnât taking care of our finances and was too upset. I did take over our business contract work so we didnât have to work on that during our free time. My husband was also a mess on and off, so we kept an emergency fund to support him quitting and finding a job. He told her twice he was quitting but could never follow through. We used up our emergency fund because we werenât paying attention. Somehow spending 2k a month on groceries for several months. I hate that I have no clue how it happened and how much food waste we had.
2021-2023 I didnât work for MIL from May 2021-October 2021 when I went back but only 10 hours per week. I went back because we needed the income. I typically worked 12 hours a week until leaving recently. We decided to move to Michigan; I feel like i sacrificed a lot staying in Texas ( I never wanted to ) and putting up with everything working for his mother and all the chaos and control that came with that. We will be moving end of May beginning on June. He still works for her and doesnât have a set plan.
Reflection
I feel like our lives have been a wreck the last 3-6 years and I refuse to fall back into it. I feel like not having benefits has hurt us more than we ever imagined it would. Just this year so far weâve paid $2400 for his emergency root canal and crown. $400 for a consultation and CT scan for my nose for sinus issues. $3500 for a new fence for our dogs. It seems to never end.
I was upset with myself for awhile; I am trying hard to focus on the future. We need to learn to plan and save for large expenses. I am highly considering separating our finances and splitting everything proportionally. He has yet to actually help me with managing our finances although I have mentioned and asked numerous times. He is also supposed to be evaluated for ADHD. He does try and heâs a great partner besides his mom problems and not helping with finances. He thinks just not spending money is enough for our finances. Our therapist thinks us getting away ( even if it is only part of the year ) will change my husband and his dynamic with his mother. I hope he will fall in love with where we are moving, and agree to stay there permanently and sell our home/property in Texas.

Hello, just for my own education, about how much would Instacart pay you for a 3 mile delivery of 56 grocery items (but multiples of several) and heavy items (beverages but not like cases of water or anything) and it was about a $335 order before tip and fees. I tipped 20%/ $1 per item at $67. Just wondered approximately (in your experience) how much Insta would add to that for compensation?

Dear friends,
Iâve been following Andre Bouchardâs rocky career since the day he took office as the new Chancellor in Delawareâs Court of Chancery, and I wrote about the way he handled the Sussex County Register of Wills Office in his first year, which I thought was abhorrent. Iâve been extra critical of him through the TransPerfect trial, which ended years ago, and somehow, court-payments linger and his old buddies at Skadden Arps are still collecting nearly six-figure monthly paychecks, thanks to Bouchardâs atrocious handling of the case.
I wonder which one of his friends could possibly get paid off this time because, in my opinion, the TransPerfect case has been milked for huge amounts of money for the benefit of Delawareâs Good-Ole-Boys Legal Club, aka friends of the Chancellor???
Iâm seeing similar suspicious patterns in a new case covered by The Law360 story below, where heâs again being shortsighted, in my view, during a court-supervised sale, which sounds similar to me to the TransPerfect case. where he was, in my opinion, continually attempting to bully the sides into a settlement, rather than just doing his job as a judge.
The Law360 story, says it best, âChancellor Bouchard, a veteran of epic â and unfinished â battles arising from the liquidation of TransPerfect Global Inc. after a falling-out between its founders.â
I would love to hear your thoughts on this one. In my opinion, this guy, who was never a judge before, somehow through his Democrat politics, getting the chief role at the Chancery Court, is not even learning on the job. Time for him to go!

Chancellor Rips Critics Of Pharma Sale As âIncredibly Naiveâ

Law360 (April 20, 2020, 11:40 PM EDT) â Delawareâs chancellor branded some challenges to the court-supervised sale of drug developer Inspirion Delivery Sciences LLC as âastoundingâ and âincredibly naiveâ on Monday, noting that a court order had given a liquidating trustee broad latitude to complete the job.
The comments by Chancellor Andre G. Bouchard during a sale hearing teleconference followed arguments by Michael Yoder of Reid Collins & Tsai LLP that a new auction effort could have produced a better result than the offer of $4 million in cash and up to $10 million in future payments from OHEMO Life Sciences Inc. from royalties on anti-abuse opioid drug compounds.
Yoder, who represents former Inspirion members Raymond DiFalco and Manish Shah, argued that it made little sense for a trustee to âsimply accept the first offer from a company insider,â referring to OHEMO, which has ties to IDS member Stefan Aigner.
Chancellor Bouchard, a veteran of epic â and unfinished â battles arising from the liquidation of TransPerfect Global Inc. after a falling-out between its founders, asked if Yoder had fully examined Delaware law and trustee discretion on the issue.
âI really find that astounding. You didnât even address the standard of review in your papers,â the chancellor said. âI find equally astounding the notion that you didnât think insiders would be able to bid. Do you know how most of these contests end? Typically somebody involved with the company buys the other side out.â
Yoder said he was not arguing that insiders could not participate, but said that his clients did not participate because they hoped for a successful sale to a third party and were unaware there were no third parties in the running until recently.
âThat just demonstrates extraordinary naivety,â Chancellor Bouchard said. âIt all seems so last-minute for your client to walk in here not prepared to do something, and I find it very hard to believe that if they wanted to make a bid, they couldnât do it all along.â
Differences between Shah and DiFalco and member Aigner over approval and marketing of key anti-abuse drugs MorphaBond and RoxyBond hobbled the business, with Aigner attempting to remove DiFalco as president of IDS.
The court ordered a liquidation after a three-day trial in November 2018, although further disputes and market issues extended the process. The proposed winning bidder was OHEMO, based in Puerto Rico, a company championed by Aigner before the liquidation order as a replacement for the Shah and DiFalco-aligned production operation.
Cerovene Inc., controlled by Shah and DiFalco, made an offer valued at up to $15 million but missed a key deadline for the submission earlier this month, according to Donna L. Culver of Morris Nichols Arsht & Tunnell LLP, counsel to liquidating trustee Derek C. Abbott.
Culver said Cerovene argued that the COVID-19 crisis and a lack of wire transfer specifics kept the business from making a required bid deposit, but not until âliterally minutes before deadlineâ did the prospective competing bidder âgive any indication he could not comply with the deadline.â
Nothing prevented DiFalco and Shah from getting involved through Cerovene earlier, Culver said, adding that the sale opponents also had not shown how the trustee or process represented an abuse of discretion.
Peter B. Ladig of Bayard PA, counsel to Aigner, Acela Investments LLC and two other companies that hold Aignerâs interests in IDS, said the business already had worked through a several-month marketing process, with 81 potential buyers approached, before choosing to move ahead with OHEMO for lack of a better offer.
âThis is not, as I think the objectors would have the court believe, a question of having an auction just between the two insiders,â Ladig said. âThis was an auction process that ran for months, and itâs really the end of the second process.â
Ladig said nothing in the case record supported claims that Aigner maneuvered the trustee into setting the final, 48-hour window for receipt of a competing offer for the business.
Chancellor Bouchard said he would take the arguments under advisement.
