While we don't know where the Blazer's pick will land, odds are it will be top 5. Wemby and Scoot are consensus 1 and 2 so if we get either of those picks we obviously draft them. Either one of them makes us a title contender off top if we can retain Grant or grab Draymond, Love, or Kristaps. Kevin Love may be a steal, grab him if he's undervalued; as a trade asset if nothing else.
If we get Wemby we should probably try to grab Kristaps for the sake of veteran experience in Wembys role; when to roll, when to pop, defensive presence. If we get Scoot, we should probably try to get Dray for the handoffs; not to mention getting J Walk the vet he needs. I think Jabari could use some more minutes next year as he seems to be developing pretty well.
If we can't get either Scoot or Wemby, we should trade Dame since we can get so much draft value for him, not to mention decent win now peices in the process. He deserves a ring, so I think a trade to the Bucks is the best idea. We could get the Rockets pick, Jrue Holiday, and god knows what else. Dame and Giannis would win the chip, guaranteed. Pick and roll god mode out there with those two.
In any case, we should see if we can pick or trade for Gradey Dick. 3 and D wizard, we need that. If we can get Gradey and Amen oh boy are we contenders in two years; if we keep Dame and get both we are contenders immediately, trade Ant if necessary. Nobody will trade us Gradey if we draft Scoot or Wemby, but omg if that happened we'd be a dynasty.
Jarace Walker doesnt provide enough spacing, so his role would be better filled by Trayce Jackson-Davis late in the 1st, who's a better passer, picker, and post player today. Less upside with Trayce, but he can attack from the perimeter and draw a double with his post ability, while providing solid defense. He could probably develop a 3.
We should target a 3 and D wing in FA whether we get Gradey or not. Jae Crowder would be unhappy on the bench, so Otto Porter is a better option there. Yuta Watanabe is a steal, sign him for 3 years, period.
Brook Lopez will be expensive, pass on him. Bring back Eubanks. Retain Nurk for sure. Draft or trade for Tristan Vukčević in the second for a stretch 4/5. He could play good minutes with any PF or C worth getting.
I had high hopes for Ant but damn is defense is not working. Give him one more year to develop a defensive game, get rid of him at the deadline if he makes zero progress, his defense is a straight up liability in the post season. He can shoot under 30% from 3 next year for all I care at this point. He would remember how to shoot real quick in the finals.
Draft Ben Sheppard in the 2nd for the splash. Pat Bev is a good vet option, as are Shröder, Ish, and Westbrook if he's cheap. Westbrook is solid with 4 shooters around him, and his defense is underrated. Coach the turnovers out of him. Oladipo is probably worth getting. Trade away 2nds to secure Jackson Davis and Vukčević. We need those two.
Spare no expense on Bruce Brown. Sign him for 3 plus a player option.
We can trade Nurk for Nic Claxton or Jarret Allen, nobody else.
Dame or no Dame, we have a great chance to have a fucking incredible offseason. If Dame goes and the draft capital is blown, I'm rooting for Dame wherever. If Dame stays and we blow this shit AGAIN, Portland will go from my favorite team to least favorite and I'll be rooting for the Pistons and Magic. If this offseason goes right, Portland is my favorite team with or without Dame. My loyalty was always with the Sonics :'). If we trade him or not, retire 0.
Start Shade next year and have him really learn to rebound this offseason.
Edit: The Nets could really use Nurk with Ben Simmons since he provides spacing at 5 and rebounding. That trade is a win win since Claxton is much more likely to be available all year, and we are straight up good on spacing.

2023.03.25 02:09 NGSwim 27 [M4F] NJ/NYC - Could you be the one? Or are you just a new friend?
Hey everyone! Hope your Friday is going well! I never know how to start one of these, but I'm here hoping for some good conversation that might lead to a long term relationship.
I'm currently living in NJ, but a short bus ride to NYC. I would love to do more in the city like go to museums, conventions, concerts, and exploring.
I am definitely an introvert. I'm usually a quiet guy who tends to stay to himself, but if you're able to pull me out of my shell, I definitely can become an extrovert (until my social battery runs out).
Heads up, I'm totally dating impaired lol. Sons people think it's cute, and some not. If you think you're sending a signal, I'll brush it off and just awkwardly smile, give you a hug, and wish you a good night at you at the end of a date. I'm a normal guy who has his quirks, but when it comes to dating, definitely the most awkward person ever. I might have been flirty in texts, but in person, I'm just clueless. Having only been in one relationship probably doesn't help 😂.
For interests, I'm a huge nerd. Currently obsessed with the new patch in World of Warcraft, but I also play any other competitive multiplayer game, like League, Valorant, TFT, Apex, etc. I do love other games too - like Elden Ring. I honestly just love being able to turn off my work brain and sink into a game.
I also love watching Netflix, reading books, and cooking. Currently am swamped with things I have to watch (Spy X Family, House of Dragons, etc.), but always send me recommendations.
Cooking wise, I love to cook whenever I find myself having the time and motivation, and love cooking for other people too! I would love to steal some family recipes 😂
Physically, I'm Asian, 5'8" - 170lb with a dad bod. I like to rock climb, swim, and more recently, run.
I've been rambling a bit, but if you've gotten this far and you're interested, don't be shy and send a message / chat.
I'm definitely looking for someone close to me in NJ / NYC so we can go on fun dates or stay in. But, feel free to message me if you're further too - it's always fun to chat. Who knows, maybe we'll hit it off, stranger things have happened. I promise I won't bite, unless you ask me to 😏.

2023.03.25 02:08 dowagiacmichigan How did Clark get to become the most racist town in New Jersey?
Recently learned about Clark, NJ- a small, middle class suburb in Union County that's known for its' racism, from a college friend who lives in Clark and hated it. The way in which my friend described Clark made it sound like some backwoods coal holler town in Alabama. Clark, even in 2023 and in a very diverse county in a very diverse state, is still almost 100% white, mostly old-school Italian folks. It effectively operates as a "sundown town", and Black and Hispanic folks are subject to be harassed by police past dark for no reason if they dare step foot in Clark. My friend said that growing up in Clark, Black people were often the butt of jokes and the N word (with hard R) would be regularly said, and there were almost zero POC in the school system. My friends neighbors moved to Clark because they wanted "a safe white town where they wouldn't have to see the minorities everywhere", and apparently a lot of other families had this type of attitude. Those who lived in Clark were well aware of the town's reputation, and were proud of it. Both residents and non-residents would pejoratively refer to Clark as "Clarkkk" or "no dark Clark". The sole Black family in the neighborhood had their house egged more than once. Kids in Clark were taught never to step foot in or talk to anyone from neighboring Rahway or Linden because "that's where the black people live". POC from neighboring towns, like Rahway and Linden, will often do anything they can to avoid being in Clark, even if it means taking a much more inconvenient route. There were people in Clark apparently known to be affiliated with the KKK. Even the longtime mayor is known to be openly racist, once claiming that he is "pro good Black people".
My question is, how did Clark become such a hotbed of racism? Given its location, it just doesn't add up. An inner-ring suburb that is 90% white, 70% Republican, and average income, surrounded by much more diverse towns. Most other suburbs in NJ that once had white-only housing covenants decades have integrated now, and it is almost unheard of to see a town in north central NJ that is 90% white, regardless of income. Is there any hope for Clark in the future?

2023.03.24 23:52 a3lovejoy Understanding a lots value in NYC
Hey all so I mainly have a question as to how I can go about looking into the idea that my lot is worth more then its value of the house on it. So I'm in Williamsburg Brooklyn and this property is not just the average house on a lot, It's a full through lot that goes to the other side of the block. I don't really know how to look up its value, since I know any appraisal is going to be for the house, when yet if someone builds on the opposite side that the house is not built on it has no build limit due to zoning (found this out through a local architect in the area).
Zillow obviously is not much help since all other lots sold seem to be single lots that have been abandoned, so is my only option to figure this out to go through a realtor and hope they have a good grasp of it?
the house is somewhere in the ballpark of 1.6M maybe but obviously with the market could be different by a bit but I think that lot value could easily be 3M but I have nothing to support that idea besides the fact of a full though massive building could probably be bult on this or 2 buildings if they split the lot.
Any info or thoughts are appreciate and thank for your time!
