Been wondering. What are some other games or franchises you'd think some Guilty Gear cast could cameo or star in? Whether it be another fighter, action/adventure, novel, etc.
Just to list a few examples:
Giovanna in SF6 - From her moveset to her appearance, I feel like Giovanna would be a wonderful addition as a guest star fighter. Not to mention SF6's art style would match her visual aesthetic. Only other fighter she'd probably fit in besides SF would probably be KoF.
Sol Badguy/Gear in Monster Hunter - Probably not Sol himself, but perhaps his weapon and gear in the game. Seeing Akuma, Sonic, Aurthur, and even Dante appear in the game, having Sol's Junkyard featured as a Gunlance would be kind of cool. Could even have a layered Holy Orders armor set as well as a Rei skin for Palamutes and a Jack-o Minion skin for Palicos.
Happy Chaos as a COD: Zombies Antagonist - Bit of a wild card that I'm a bit skeptical of. But the more I think about it, I could see Chaos being featured as the Mastermind behind zombies map where he unintentionally stumbles into the world but can't help but stick around for a bit of fun. He'd just actively dick around with the players, adding his own flavor of tricks and calamity to the setting, all until he's either bored or something shifts his smug attitude.

I automated yellow science a couple days ago but in order to expand my base I have to take care of lots and lots of nests surrounded my factory. I automated artillery canons and made a little factory just so I can make 40-60 artillery shells a minute. Maybe a bit overkill (or maybe not?) but nevertheless, the alarm is literally going off constantly while the canons fire off at all nearby nests, and I’ve begun firing at far-off nests too. Also, the big green bugs just showed up so I’m guessing the evolution is at the highest.
I really picked a wrong map to try to unlock the Steam All The Way achievement, and I’m also going for the no laser turret achievement. It’s been tough and next time I play it’s literally going to be all-out-war lol. Do y’all have any similar stories playing on desert maps? This isn’t even deathworld. Just default settings lol.
I’m sure I’ve made lots of mistakes and better players would’ve probably taken care of the biters by now, but I’m holding on. Also, my oil patches are running low and I gotta make a new outpost soon or I’ll have trouble getting artillery shells.

The Slepnir trotted down the destroyed snow-covered highway slowly.
"So a guy throws a ball at a guy holding a bat and the guy with the bat's job is to hit the ball out of the stadium?"

"Nevermind. Listen I say we rest here for the night pick up in the morning."
Frank nudged the horse slightly and soon began to slowly lead it off the highway to a broken-down home.
"Which room do you want?"
"I'll take a top-floor one. Hopefully, there's a bed, unlike the last one."
Wendy hopped off the horse as Frank lifted open a garage door.
"Got any potatoes left?"
"Yeah let me grab it."
Wendy took her backpack off and reached inside. As she did Frank took the horse inside and left it unhitched.
"Last one."
"Well...it's fine give it to Unica...I hate that name still."
"Well, it's what I picked."
Wendy took the potato from the pouch and fed the mutant horse. Frank looked at Wendy and smiled from the inside of his helmet. As the horse gobbled down the last of the potato Wendy turned to face Frank who was taking out the pot and stove to cook.
"So where are we?"
"Should be near Denver"
"Then why does that sign say Wyoming?"
Frank looked up and followed Wendy's hand out to a sign by the start of the street. A small makeshift sign said Wyoming followed by gibberish. Frank took out the map he had stored with him and looked around.
....it's winter we're good.
"Alright, fuck me.....I took us the wrong way."
"What now?"
"Nothing. We just rest and go back to where. I'll stay guard when you go to sleep."
"Why?"
"I can find out where exactly we are...."
"Alright."
"Okay get inside quickly."

Frank grumbled and groaned as he set up the cooking set and began cooking. Wendy held the 5.56 revolver as she stood guard, Frank seemed extra nervous he had locked the doors and even had his new colt revolver next to him hammer cocked.
"So what exactly is out here?"
"Nothing nice, we shouldn't have to worry but still."
"Okay..don't you think I ought to know-
"-Done."
Frank clattered the spoon on the pot as he called to her. She holstered the revolver and walked over.
"So what's on the menu today?"
"Chef Kingly proudly presents 200-year-old instant mash."
"Again?!"
She turned and sat down as he got her plate ready.
"Not my fault you wanted to take the shot on the radstag instead of letting me."
"I know but you couldn't have just made the mac and cheese?"
"I'm kidding it's Salisbury steak. Come on dig in."
Frank handed her a fork and the plate as she sighed.
"I believed you for a second."
"I know you did."
Frank cut a piece of meat off and shoved it into his mouth as he chuckled.
"Mmm (swallow) I remembered a joke..."
Frank cleared his throat as Wendy looked at him confused.
"Why was the mutant worried his friend was sick?"
"I......don't know why?"
"He was a little green."
Wendy groaned as she took a sip of water.
"That was awful."
"Oh please, you loved it."
Wendy smiled as she continued to eat.
"Get better material."
The two ate in silence before Wendy asked again.
"Do you know what FEV is?"
"Forced evolutionary virus, it's the thing that made all super mutants and gave you your abilities according to what I know about psykers...why do you ask?"

"Yeah, we learned about the stuff in training, found out about it after Navarro...my mom was a trooper then."

Wendy looked at her plate and then at Frank

"Raptors...they're hybrid cat-bird things, according to our biologists back in California they're the same story as deathclaws. Some pre-war army bastards wanted expendable killing machines so turned to nature, mixed wild cats with old birds of prey, then they got a dose of FEV."
"Wait deathclaws were made with FEV?"
"Yeah...why do you think they're bullet resistant."
"I just thought they were tough-skinned....but you killed deathclaws with ease. Raptors can't be that big of an issue right?"
Frank ate a forkful before setting down the fork and plate.
"There were once a bunch of settlers and tribals up here in Wyoming. (Explains the wooden shacks we passed now.) Then someone had the bright idea of helping more of their kids survive."
"Why would they do that if they're so dangerous?"
"The eggs, raptor eggs usually don't all survive, those that do were the lucky ones. Arms dealers sell the young to the highest bidders. Raptors are vicious but can be tamed from birth if done right and used as living weapons, NCR polices them and makes sure no unauthorized folks get them."
Wendy looked at the window nervously.
"Our saving grace is its winter. It's too cold for most to leave their burrows so they hibernate, usually when the poachers go to find them. Most don't succeed."
"But they're animals...how are they so dangerous?"
"They're smart. Lead victims into ambushes. Their ears hear things better than ours. Even a low whisper can get you torn to shreds."
"What kind of ambushes?"
Frank chuckled as he took the pot off the stove and readied a new pot for coffee
"OK, try to imagine yourself as a person in power armor. You get your first look at this thing as you cross an abandoned street with say two other people. It looks like a small cat with wings and a bird face, feathers all up front then halfway looks like a small panther. It also moves like a cat, lightly moving back and forth its yellow soulless eyes on you. You stare at it, and it just stares right back as you level your weapon. And that's when the attack comes. Not from the front, but from the sides..."
Frank stirred the coffee powder into the water as he continued
"..from the other six you didn't even know were there. Because they're pack hunters. They use coordinated attack patterns and they are bloodthirsty. And they slash at you with this."
Frank drew his knife and spun it around
"...3 six-inch claws, like knives on each foot. They don't bother to slice your armor like other animals, they slash at you here, or here..."
Frank pointed to spots across his body with the knife, spots undefended by the armor, before continuing.
"They know exactly where to hit, they learned it. Then once you're immobilized they take their time. Peeling off the armor plating one piece at a time as you hear your friends blood gurgling screams. The point is, you are alive when they start to eat you. Nasty fuckers, always kill them on sight."
"Why are they only in Wyoming then?"
"They aren't, they're Colorado natives but they migrate, they prefer Idaho actually, and other mountain states. Last time I was through Albuquerque a whole flock tore the place up for a few days."
"Really? So that's why you asked me to be quieter near Saratoga?"
"Yep, another job for us rangers back west is pest control anything too big to deal with by locals is assigned to us. I killed 35 alone in California last year, they're just more aggressive the more east you go for some reason."
Wendy finished her food and then set the plate down, as she looked around her nervously
"Shouldn't we leave now instead of waiting then?"
"No, the big and dangerous are out at night. Those are the ones I've been looking out for."
"There's bigger?"
"Small ones are taken down easily. They vary between 2 feet tall and 6 feet tall. The rare ones are ten-foot beasts. We call them griffons. They're usually by the mountains or the ruins of big cities. They can't be bred or nurtured, we don't even know why they're huge. They usually hunt alone, use their strength to brute force any enemy they have, strong enough to take out super mutant behemoths if lucky."
"How?"
"They swoop down from above claw their skull in half in one swoop then fly away, and return for the corpse later. Saw it myself in a place in Dakota. They're different everywhere. Some in the Dakota rule as kinda chieftains perched up on those mountains with faces. The ones in Missouri kill everything that moves, even each other."
"They're slow at least right?"
"If you ever run into one alone you're gone, only a slepnier at full sprint can outrun it. They can take on everything directly except a deathclaw. If we ever wipe out the scaly bastards they're the next apex predator."
"How many have you killed."
Frank held up a single finger as he turned the pot. Wendy stared at the window, she heard a faint whooshing sound.
"Like I said we're fine. I've cut through here several times. They tend to stick to the same areas. Now get some rest I'll take watch."

Frank turned the pot of brew around as he looked at the map. He probably shared a little too much with Wendy but she needed the truth, it was his fault after all. How did he go the wrong way without knowing? He shouldn't have gotten them to the remnants of Laramie, it was a clear-cut road to Den-

Frank's ears twitched as he looked up from the map he turned the stove off and covered the pot. Something was out there, he slowly approached the window with his helmet light off careful not to attract attention. A large silhouette stood bathed in the moonlight street investigating the hoove prints made by Unica.

Frank watched as the beast slowly followed the prints to the garage door. He grabbed Wendy's rifle and slowly cocked the bolt back as he gently lifted it to fire at the creature in front of him. The beast scratched its claw along the garage door leaving a sharp metal sound in the air.
Just as the rifle was set to fire into the creature's eye Frank heard something else, a small whine coming from the garage. Almost instantaneous the beast tore through the flimsy garage door and rushed the defenseless horse inside with a loud screech only capable of an apex predator.

Frank held the rifle in his hand as he stared at the door to the garage. The blood-curdling scream of the horse went silent and all that remained was the ragged tearing of flesh and the snapping of bones. Frank kept his eye on the door as he slowly made his way up the staircase, he tried his best to stay quiet, taking a few steps every minute, and after 4 minutes he was finally at the top.

Frank held his hand out shushing the frightened girl. He moved over to the room she was in and slowly entered with her behind him as he closed the door.

Frank stopped in his tracks as the sounds of eating stopped. A low bird cry broke the silence and then tapping, it heard them and was now investigating further. Frank signaled Wendy to grab the revolver in her holster and ready it as the beast sniffed around. Frank pushed the door open slightly more and in seconds the beast tore through the wooden door that led to the garage.
Wendy let out a small gasp muffled by her hand as the beast paraded around the downstairs portion of the house. We dy mouthed towards Frank.

White feathers covered the head and half of the torso of the beast, think black fur covered the rest. A sharp yellow beak prodded at the pots and pans. The 6 claws of the front legs tapped away at the floor. Frank took a small step out of the room and readied the rifle. He aimed for the eye as the beast examined the stove. The griffon opened the small pot full of hot coffee brew and stuck its beak in, it pulled back rapidly knocking the tin over and letting out a scream of pain. Frank took a deep breath and squeezed the trigger, the bullet soared out of the barrel and hit the creature...in the neck.
SCREECH!
The creature ran up the stairs towards the two as fast as possible. Frank cycled another round and fired it into the creature to little effect. Wendy and Frank fired again and again till it was right on him. He dodged to the left as it pounced towards him, its hind legs knocking him to the side and down the stairs as it turned to face Wendy.
Wendy screamed as the beast stood in front of her. She threw the now empty revolver and stuck her hand out as she fired a large burst of electricity at the beast who quickly ducked into a side room. The griffon then stuck its head back out as Wendy panted. She watched it slowly come out of the room and just stare at her almost frightened.

A bolt slammed into the wall as Frank extended his robotic arm toward the griffon. He fired another shot hitting the animal in the neck again, the griffon flew down the stairs and pinned Frank to the ground by the neck as it screeched into his face. Its talons digging in but merely holding him. It turned back around and screeched up towards Wendy who looked down at the creature.
"No!"
The creature loosened its grip on Frank and screeched back up at her. As she made her way down the stairs. Rifle in hand.
"Let go of him!"
The creature stepped off of Frank who took a deep breath of air.
"Stay right there!"
The griffon sat on its hind legs as Wendy helped Frank up.
"Are you talking to that thing?!"
"Kinda...."
The griffon snarled as Frank stood up.
"She's still pissed at you."
"I can tell."
Frank massaged his neck as he looked at the beast.
"How are you doing that?"
"I don't know we just....understand."
"Huh.....you're still full of surprises kid...Well, tell her to get lost..."
"I don't think she'd listen."
The griffon screeched at Frank, who in response took a step back.
"Well she can't stay here....and I don't want her to either, besides she killed Unica..."
"And you shot her like 8 times."
"Are you defending this thing?!"
"Look, I think if we help her out she'll help us out..."
"How do you suppose we help her out?!"
Wendy slung the rifle over her shoulder and slowly approached the creature.
"Wendy!"
"It's fine...I think the FEV is acting as a kinda bond thing...I think."
"That is the stupidest thing I've heard....it's going to kill you now back up now!"
Frank drew the revolver from his holster and aimed at the griffon, the beast stood and roared at him.
"Frank!"
"I'm not letting this stupid thing be the death of us...now get back next to me before this thing gets hungry again."
"Frank! Put the gun down!"
Wendy moved closer to the griffon that simply stared at her, she reached towards its neck and grabbed the bolt lodged in it.
"This will hurt...Frank stimpak..."
"What?"
"Stimpak...toss me one."
"I.."
"Do you trust me?"
"Fine.."
Frank holstered the revolver and reached into his satchel and pulled out a stim throwing it to Wendy. Wendy caught it and then turned to the beast.
"This will only hurt just a little."
She yanked the bolt out and the griffon screeched into the air, Wendy quickly injected the stim before backing up. The griffon flapped its wings knocking Frank over. It rose a few feet in the air before slamming back down onto the ground. It turned to Wendy and bowed toward her.
"You're welcome..."
Frank stood back up. And turned to Wendy taking his helmet off.
"So what did that do... besides waste a stim."
"She trusts us...well me more than you.."
"And how does that help us?"
Wendy turned to Frank and then back to the winged beast.
"Oooh no, oooh no I'm not getting on that thing! Are you crazy?!"
"Frank this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience...you said it yourself Griffons usually attack anything well this one is helping us."
"Only help this one is doing is helping itself to a free lunch when it drops us from 100 feet up."
"She wouldn't do that...right girl."
Wendy stroked the griffon's feathers.
"Okay don't do that, that thing just killed Unica....and probably has kill a lot of other people."
"You said it yourself she's an apex predator she hunts...Unica was prey...it's faster than walking...and safer."
"You're a cold child and I'll take my chances on the ground."
"Oh come on."

"No, end of the story."

The next morning
"How the hell did you talk me into this."
Frank muttered as he climbed aboard the feathery giant as it knelt.
"Relax she can tell you're scared."
"Of course I'm scared, I've seen what these things can do."
"Ya hear that girl, big bad ranger is scared of you."
Wendy rubbed the beak of the griffon as she talked cutesy to it.
"Stop doing that?!"
"Frank if she was gonna eat us she had all night."
"I was up all night keeping watch. And she spilled my coffee."
"Relax already. Diana won't kill you, she trusts us, now grab the reigns and try and ride her steady."
Frank grumbled as he grab the reigns and tapped Diana with the heel of his shoe. Instantly the beast turned its head around and stared at Frank.
"Sorry!"
Frank turned to the young girl at his side.
"Wendy how the hell am I supposed to do this?!"
"If you can't do it how can I?"
Frank sighed as he gently took the reigns once more.
"How did you even get this on her?"
"She let me."
"Oh she let you....that is such crap."
He looked down at the bird and sighed as he shook the reigns gently and leaned down to the beast's cat-like eye.
"Alright....we probably got off on the wrong foot let's just call it even and..."
Frank tapped the griffon gently on the side and it began to walk forward, he pulled the reigns slightly right and it turned accordingly.
"Holy shit!"
Frank smiled brightly as he looked at his accomplishment. He was on a fucking griffon and it wasn't trying to kill him.
"I'm doing it!"
"You look like a kid learning how to ride a bike."
"Shut it. Do you even know how to ride a bike?"
"Yeah, Sarah taught me."
Frank looked down at the beast and chuckled.
"Alright let's see about going a bit faster."
He whipped the reign gently.
SCREECH!
Diana threw Frank off and extended her wings as she took off into the air and then down into the tree line.
"What the hell did you do?!"
"I just whipped the reign gently."
Frank got up and wiped the dirt off his duster as shots rang out in the air.
"RUN GRIFFO-!"
More gunshots rang out from the tree lime, Frank drew his revolver and ran towards the trees followed by Wendy. The two ran through bushes as they came across a small clearing where Diana stood ripping apart a small squad of men, some already dead one man about to die as she flung him into the air. Frank watched as the griffon tore through the remainder of them with ease. The last person wore a suit of power armor and was now pinned to the ground as the beast squeezed
"Stop!"
Diana looked up to where the shout came from and saw Wendy. Walking towards her Frank followed close behind.
"She heard them."
"Yeah, no shit, who are they though?"
Wendy looked down at the last person and looked into their visor.

A pair of leaks have turned up on 4Chan that claim to outline details of Rockstar's forthcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans of the franchise would do well to take these rumors with a grain of salt as there's no way to know for sure if any of these details are accurate. The leaker on 4Chan goes by Rhanadeng and claims to have been a friend of a disgruntled employee working on the game during 2019.
The source claims that this employee allegedly asked him to anonymously leak information about GTA 6. However, things later improved, and he lost contact with the Rockstar team member. One key detail is that this person also claims the game has been in active development since 2016 or 2017, with pre-production starting shortly after GTA V was ported to current generation consoles in 2014. The new GTA VI game world map is also claimed to be the size of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 combined.
gta v mission One of the odder bits that this 4Chan user details is a minigame where players control a stream of urine from a protagonist using motion controls. On the protagonist front, there are said to be four in the game, including a driver called Walther Wallace and an unnamed former Israeli IDF person. Another, Thomas Branigan, is a smuggler who owns an aircraft called the Raven, and Marcus Burke is a drug dealer and father to a young boy.
The area is said to be based in Florida, with Vice City among the three major cities with one smaller city in the far northwest of the map. The game reportedly jumps around in time with part of the timeline set in the 1980s and other parts set in the present day. Missions aren't as linear as they are in GTA V or RDR2, notes the proclaimed leaker. Players will briefly visit a small central American island, but it's reportedly not Guarma. The game starts with gamers playing the role of smuggler, Branigan.
gta v car Supposedly there are multiple child characters in the game that mainly interact with Burke and his son. Switching between the protagonists isn't said to be instantaneous, but the camera reportedly zooms out and travels quickly to where the protagonist the player wants to play is located. Sleeping Dogs-inspired parkour is involved in the game as well, but to a lesser extent without wall running. The leaker claims that weapons function more realistically in the game than they have in past titles. An example noted is rocket launcher back blast that ends up taking out an NPC in one of the missions, where the goal is to destroy a helicopter.
Hand-to-hand combat is supported and is said to be similar to Red Dead 2, with the leaker noting it's harder to fight hand-to-hand GTA VI than in GTA V. Player characters can also gain weight in the game, and it affects character attributes as it did in RDR2. Mori Kibbutz is also reportedly in the game, but not much else is detailed about his character.
This leak isn't the first that has surfaced about GTA 6. Last December, a user on reddit claiming to be a beta tester, leaked a bunch of alleged details of the game. In January, another leak claimed that the game would launch in 2021.

i was just reminded of this awful experience i had a bit over a year ago.
i was on a 5 hours flight, and was in a window seat. there was a gap between me and the man in the aisle seat, which was really good luck. everything was going great until halfway through the flight he goes to his wife who’s in another part of the plane, and brings his little snotty 2/3 year old next to me and puts her in the empty seat.
the little turdball started touching me and freaking out, doing every obnoxious thing it could. i was just trying to listen to music but this jackass had to bring this goblin and set it practically on top of me.
the father did nothing. he brought the kid over, let him touch and poke me, touch my stuff and rub it’s snot all over everything and he didn’t do jack shit.
sadly, of course, i’m incredibly shy and awkward so all i could manage was a glare. i still wish to this day that i’d said something, told his kid to fuck off, called over a flight attendant, scolded the dad, literally anything.
i hate parents, i hate children and i hate children with parents who let them do shit like that.

I think we can all agree the Orc Heritage quest has raised the bar.
There are essentially 4-6 heritage armor quests left. (Depending on whether Dracthyr and Pandaren Get Any)
For now, let's focus on Draenei, Darkspear Trolls, Night Elves, and Forsaken.
What do you want to see in these? Lesser known characters elevated to prominence? New plot hooks seeded? Etc...
Here's MY Wishlist to serve as an example...
Draenei: They need to rescue the Broken/Krokul that have been left on Argus's pieces. A trip from Azuremyst to Swamp of Sorrows on Azeroth, to Shattrath and Draenei towns in Outland, to Argus, getting the items needed to create a portal to let them travel back and forth more easily/safely now that the legion is defeated, visiting important places like Auchinodon and such in MU Draenor along the way. Maybe touch on the Ata'mal crystals or the Army of the Light distantly but not enough to leave everyone else confused when that plot picks up again outside the Heritage quest. Velen, Nobundo, Akama (Maybe serving as the Lost One rep?), and the Triumvirate of the Hand could all feature.
Darkspear: There's a LOT of potential here. Rokhan, Zekhan (who needs a bit of flavor repair), Vanira, Bwemba, Zen'tabra and Master Gadrin give a good core cast. I'd focus on exploring the Darkspear's history and the role the various gods they worship gave them in surviving it, as well as them setting them up to remain relevant and not just end up the Zandalari's sidekicks. Adding some altars to the Echo Isles for particular gods would be a nice first step as would, playing politics with the Shatterspear, Revantusk or other troll tribes, and definitely visiting Bwom's temple in Nazmir, perhaps doing something with the Zul'gurub gods that didn't feature in recent expansions.
Night Elves: Whew this one is a minefield after the mess BFA and Sl left them in. The Night elves have already had a lot of sad things said about Teldrassil, WotA, and their past in General. The nelfs definitely don't need more Sad/Pitiable quests lamenting WotA or the loss of their immortality. I'd suggest framing it as a reunification of the Nelfs three pillars of society. Elune Worship getting more detail, along with an exploration of what makes nelf arcane magic from the Highborne unique in a world where everyone's been innovating on Highborne teachings for centuries, and of course what makes nelf Druidism unique now that other races are picking it up. Shandris, Mordant Evenshade, and some new or lesser known Druidic characters would be the best bet. Exploring how the night elves are recovering and Thriving in the face of adversity even while spread out all across the world would be a good angle as well. With Malf gone and Tyrande managing the new World Tree seed their race is less centralized command-wise so that lets other characters in all their scattered settlements across the world full of refugees from Teldrassil step up to do something new, adapting faster after 10k years of stagnation, and could also explore closer ties with natural allies reconnecting with them (Furbolgs especially if we're lucky).
Forsaken: Almost as big a minefield as the Night Elves, the Forsaken are in a weird place with the way Sylvanas leading the Forsaken and the rest of the Horde in a genocide of the nelves and working for the Jailor have made her a base-breaking character both in-game and out. The bad writing from SL and years of making her the ONLY prominent forsaken character and the literal face of the faction had left them with a gaping hole to fill. A lot of folks are not happy about Calia (Me, I am not happy about Calia) or Derek Proudmoore feeling they're too soft for the Forsaken or don't make sense for the faction... or enjoy a new angle on the Forsaken... and others are unhappy with Faranel and Belmont or Velonara and feel they've done things too Stupid-Evil for it to make sense with the Horde or to be enjoyable in general, while others love that they still have some 'evil characters' or at least characters with an edge.
It's also painful that the Forsaken have a light caster on the council but don't have a Cult of Forgotten Shadow member (and that Blizz made the Cult of Forgotten shadow rep a live human)
Simply put, the Forsaken quest is going have to be about finding a way to balance what the playerbase wants, compromising between folks who want cackling evil and folks who want DARK but not so evil it alienates the rest of the Horde... and folks who want whatever is going on with... Calia.

I live in an urban apartment multiple floors up with zero outdoor space. Just to be clear. And I have ADHD, I tend to run multiple projects at once, please bear with me.
The apartment runs hot, in winter 75-85F, in summer 85-100F. Windows face west. It gets so hot that I actually have to black them out in summer, and I don't have a grow light. I probably should get one this year. The issue is that they hurt my eyes and I like looking at my plants, not sure if anyone has recs?
Houseplants
I have a random assortment from big box stores. I don't even know the names of half of them. What I've id'd so far: African violet, aloe, dracena, pilea, spider plant, pothos, money tree that looks like ganga, aglomena, wandering jew (as a jew not sure how I feel about that), and something that's not a bamboo palm but looks similar.
Most are in a mix of promix and leca, in terra cotta pots. It's not the best, but it is what's working now after trial and error. A few are in water (salsa jars or those cute plastic buckets from dollar tree that are easy to hang off the end of a shelf). They didn't like the promix or the promix mix.
I keep two 3 L jugs of water sitting out. They sit for a day to offgas chlorine and come to room temp. Then I put a bit under a half a cap of miracle gro fertilizer in them. Everything gets watered as needed. Hopefully that's not too much fertilizer, the bottle says use that much for weekly watering. Started doing this a few months ago and it has made a huge difference, my plants were all struggling and after the routine fertilizer they started to perk up. I'm not sure if they're caught up on fertilizer or continuing this is ok. Maybe I should get a dropper for more preciseness. It's easier to set it up the same way every time than to remember do one thing one week, different the next...
A bunch of them are going to want repotting soon and I dread the soil thing. Every time I've purchased bagged soil, half my plants died. I'm wondering if I should go instead with coco coir or coco peat. It seems much more affordable, but I fear it might be plagued with the same issues as potting soil (sticks, garbage, mold, pests, etc). I've heard that some brands are better than others, but I'm still nervous. Especially as it seems to also vary by season it's harvested.
Question: Will houseplants do well in coco coir or peat (in terra cotta)? I heard that if it dries out, it's hard to rewet, how do I prevent that from happening? Are there guidelines for choosing good quality coco?
Aerogarden
The aerogarden is on a shelf with blinds in front of it since it's unholy bright and hurts my eyes.
My current project is to find non gmo seeds for herbs (not sure if they are gmo, but would rather avoid).
I'd like to grow:

• not sure if other herbs might be cool/easy to grow.
  

My goal is to get them started in the aerogarden, then move them to salsa jars (ala kratky style) and onto the window sill. That window sill is going to get hot in summer, as I will have the curtains closed behind it to keep the apartment from getting hot. Not sure how well that would work. Or if I should get a grow light and put blinds in front of a second shelf.
Then I'd start growing greens/tomatoes in the aero.
Questions: Good places to buy non gmo seeds? Your personal recs for herbs that do well in aerogarden/kratky and like it hot?

Microgreens I'd like to grow microgreens, but I hear they need to have like a tray with holes above another tray? Food safe plastic? Do I need to use soil also and disinfect it with peroxide? I would probably put them next to the aerogarden.
strawberries I'd like to grow them indoors from seed, not sure where to get seeds. Haven't decided on how, hydro or soil...
vegetable cuttings

• I made two attempts at potatoes from sprouted store bought potatoes. Both grew really well, then suddenly fell over and died. I noticed afterwards that the tuber was gone, just the skin was left. I couldn't tell if I watered too much or too little, both seemed bad.
  
• Some of our yellow onions sprouted, I'm rooting them in water now. Not sure if I should stick with water or go with dirt. Coco peat/coir?

The other is on a shelf further away, I think the branches have dried out, but the fuzzy things are on it and it looks nice still.
  

George Russell has tipped Aston Martin to be an even stronger force at the Australian Grand Prix, pointing to the impressive cornering ability the AMR23 has displayed over the first two rounds of the season.
After an eye-catching test period, Aston Martin translated that form into back-to-back podium finishes behind the dominant Red Bulls in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia – both at the hands of new signing and two-time world champion Fernando Alonso.
Amid Aston Martin’s surge up the order, Mercedes have been battling issues with their 2023 challenger, so much so that a concept change is on the cards, while Ferrari are also struggling for performance and reliability.
Asked about his and Mercedes’s potential at this weekend’s event in Melbourne, Russell commented: “If we manage to get another P4, or fight for the podium, that will probably be exceeding the potential of the car.
“I think Aston are going to be really strong here. They seem to be the quickest car in the medium-speed corners, which obviously there’s plenty of them here in Melbourne, so if we can fight with Aston and Ferrari again, that’d be a good weekend.”
Later on in Thursday’s driver press conference, the topic turned to the intra-team dynamic at Mercedes, with Russell asked for his thoughts on comments Lewis Hamilton made after the last race at Jeddah.
“The strategy didn’t really work out for me,” Hamilton told Sky Sports F1 after following Russell home in Saudi Arabia. “The set-up was a bit off – I think if I had the set-up that George had, I would have been in a better position.

When asked about Hamilton’s comments in Melbourne, Russell was keen to note the work he put in ahead of and during the event, stressing that there was no luck in the outcome.

Alright so, I wanted to do this a long time ago (since I saw this post https://www.reddit.com/progrockmusic/comments/o0uh9a/lets_discuss_in_the_court_of_the_crimson_king_by/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button), so, with that in mind, lets get to work
Orchid... The debut for this amazing band we all know and love, this album you either love it or hate it, I'm in the first group of people, because this album is amazing, however, even when it is amazing... It still has some problems... The main one being obvious: The production, this album is extremely raw, I mean it's normal, after all is the first album, but still, the remaster is necessary, but leaving that common problem that will be applied to all songs, lets see those songs!
In Mist She Was Standing: My first exposition to Opeth, when I listened to this song I immediately fell in love with it, for being the second longest Opeth song, it is amazing (although the last 4 minutes feel a bit flawed, not entirely tho) and it is for me without a doubt the weakest of the long songs, so that sets the bar INCREDIBLY HIGH, this is a 9/10, and a 5th place.
Under The Weeping Moon: The second one is the shortest one (without taking into account the 2 short songs) and my God... It could go for longer and I wouldn't mind like... The acoustic sections are perfect (but are not the best of this album, well get to that soon), and the atmospheric section is fantastic... Also, De Farfalla's bass is so fucking delicious, I love Mendez with all of my soul, but De Farfalla's bass was also amazing, this is without a doubt for me 10/10, and a solid 3nd place.
Silhouette: A breather, is short and it's only a piano BUT MY GOD THIS SONG IS PERFECT!! You know how this song could be used perfectly? Using it as the opening song for the shows, because the vibe it has is fantastic, my problem is that is not long enough and doesn't go anywhere, still, a solid 8/10, and the 6th place.
Forest Of October: Probably the best song in the album, here is where everything that is in this album comes together, everything now makes sense, the perfect growls, the drumming, the amazing bass, the crispy guitars, the beautiful acoustic sections, the guitar solos, the riffs the atmosphere, everything is on top, a 10/10 and the 2nd place.
The Twilight Is My Robe: This isn't the best song of the album, but is MY favorite, the growls are my favorites in this album, the guitars are as crispy as they can get, the bass solo is perfect, but what makes this my favorite song in the album are the acoustic sections... Which in my opinions are not THE BEST SECTIONS of the album... This song is a masterpiece and I'm willing to fight with anyone who says otherwise, this is a 10/10, and a 1st place for me.
Requiem: Yes, this is the weakest song for me (not taking into account the bonus track, which is shit), I mean... If this was a section on a bigger song, then the song would be amazing, but as it is, it is the weakest point of the album, 7/10 and a 7th place.
The Apostle In Triumph: Remember what I said about Requiem? The beginning of this song with that section of Requiem that leaked into it makes it even better imho, so what more could you ask? This song just gets better and better as it goes on, making this the last song is an amazing way to close an album that is not perfect, it has issues, but is nevertheless, a perfect debut, this song is a 10/10, and a 4th place.
So, in the end, the songs, ranked according to quality go like:

Hey everyone, I was hoping to get some input/advice on my situation. I recently got a job offer for a company but they’re going to drug test me in May. I’ve been a moderate smoker (max 1-3 joints a day) for about 2-3 years now. I stopped smoking a week ago but I’m a bit worried about failing the drug test and losing my employment opportunity. Even though I have a med card, it’s against company’s policies for safety reasons. I want to ask my recruiter about my situation but I don’t want it to impact me negatively. If I don’t ask, I’m worried about failing the test and losing the employment opportunity anyways. From what I’ve heard, it’s a urine test and possibly a hair test but I’m not exactly sure. I’m extremely anxious and not being able to medicate isn’t helping. Any feedback would be helpful!
Side note: I know about certo, synthetic pee, etc., but I don’t want to risk anything because I’m pretty sure it’s a lab test and I figure by now they can tell the difference. (Also it’s a federal transportation company so I really just don’t want to take risks of any kind).
Edit: I know some people abide by QuickFix so has anyone had a fail story for it? Also how do you time it and set it up? If it’s a 30 minute drive, how would I keep track of the temp and make sure it’s where I need it?

I just got my rm2 today and I updated to the latest os version. I'm unable to use cloud sync so I was planning on copying files over usb using the web interface provided. It worked great the first time but for some reason it stopped working.
I plug the device into my laptop, no new ip address is created to connect to (10.11.99.1), I tried both over http and ssh and neither work. In settings the option to enable the web interface appears when I plug the device in but it does nothing when I try and enable it. Stranger yet, in the help page that's supposed to give you the usb ip, the line that says the ip (which should be 10.11.99.1) is missing and I only see the ip provided from wifi (xxx.xxx.xx.xx). The ip address for the usb interface is just... gone?

Does anyone have any ideas how to debug this? I'd prefer to avoid doing a factory reset but I'm not sure what else to do at this point.

1975: William Afton creates Fredbear’s Family Diner. 1983: Michael Afton, William’s son, puts his brother, Joseph Afton, into the character Fredbear’s mouth, since Joseph is crying, he activates the springlocks into the Fredbear suit and dies by a bite, aka the Bite of '83. 1983: Following the death of Joseph, the Fredbear brand is changed to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, with a new cast of characters, rejecting the springlock characters Fredbear and Spring Bonnie. {Company PSA} 1984 and 1985: William, disdainful of his son Michael’s actions, wants to kill him. He channeled his hate towards Michael towards kids who went to his restaurant. {Memories} His first victim (1984), Charlie Emily, was killed in the back of the building, Charlie's body is likely possessed by the Puppet, meaning the Puppet was around before FNAF 2. The other 4 children (1985) were lured into a back room using the Spring Bonnie character suit to kill them. He killed 5 total children. He stuffs the children’s bodies inside the animatronics to hide them, in the process their spirits control the animatronics. Following these incidents Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is closed down. 1987: A new restaurant, Freddy Jr’s, [FNAF 2 Location] is made, with William no longer being involved with the company, and being banned from it. The new creatoowner(s) designed the animatronics to detect criminals, with main intent to keep William out, by full-out attacking him. {Facial Recognition Testing} 1987: We can assume Michael Afton worked undercover there as Jeremy Fitzgerald (as to not reveal he's an Afton) when he was 18. This explains why all the animatronics are hunting you down in FNAF 2, since Michael must resemble his father. 1987: The dayguard's frontal lobe is bit off by presumably mangle, causing the infamous "Bite of '87." The position has now became available, which allows Michael to work at the dayshift. 1987: The animatronics are now not functioning properly after seeing their #1 threat, William, using the yellow Spring Bonnie suit still there in the backroom to presumably murder Michael or another child. The restaurant now closes. March 23rd, 1993: William goes inside the building to dismantle the animatronics (possibly from PTSD) but is met with the spirits of the children he murdered. Out of paranoia he goes into the Spring Bonnie suit to protect himself. However, due to the leaking ceiling of the old building, the springlocks go off and William is trapped into the suit, but somehow lives. 1993: Michael sees a tape his father made {Memories}, where William confesses his murders and his hatred for Michael. 1993: Another Fazbear restaurant [FNAF 1 Location] is released. The Puppet, Charlie, takes the spirits of the older animatronics and puts them into the newest models. November 7th - 12th, 1993: At the establishment, we can assume Michael also worked there undercover as Mike Schmidt. This explains why Lucas and Angie in one of the tapes believe the night guard will be William Afton. (for similar reasons previously mentioned.) November 11th, 1993: As heard by the former employee Phone Guy in Night 4, he tells Michael to check in the Parts and Service to see the 5 tapes {FNAF VHS Season 1} in the empty animatronic heads. Charlie, the Puppet, spiritually communicates with Michael, saying that his brother Joseph will forgive him for accidentally killing him as children, and that setting the building on fire will finally release all the children’s spirits. {Non-existant Video} 2008: A horror attraction, Fazbear’s Fright, [FNAF 3 location, also the same as FNAF 1's Location] is created based on the incidents of the franchise’s past. Michael Afton works as the night guard for the attraction, because of the tapes he saw. William, (Now, aka Springtrap) is moved into the new building, preparing to finally kill his son. The spirits now roam the building (aka the Phantom Animatronics). October 14th, 2008: Michael, prepared in the hallway with gasoline poured onto the floor and a lighter in his hand, awaits his father to go in the room with Charlie by his side. As soon as William enters the room, Michael ends his life in order to kill his father and set free the spirits of the murdered children.
Note: Take this with a grain of salt because I'm not just basing this off of the tapes but some of the phone calls from Phone Guy in the first three games too. And it's just my headcanon that FNAF 2's Location is called Freddy Jr's.

This was the first time I built a pc from scratch and my goal was to create a new personal workstation for myself. After several years of using a msi gaming laptop with an intel i7-9750h, 16gb or ram and a mobile rtx 2060 with a few m2 ssd for storage (it has performed wonderfully over the years), I wanted to go for high end system that will hopefully serve me well for years to come (my initial impressions seem promising). I call it HAL 9000

Overall, it was a pretty great experience with only a handful of hiccups. And as a brief background, I am relatively aware of the fundamental concepts behind creating a modern pc so it wasn't too bad but I was still nervous and encountered some things I needed to work around .

*The following paragraph is just about specifics with the minor trouble I had getting these parts in the case*

With that said, I do want to mention an important caveat with how I lucked out selecting the components. This was after doing a fair amount of research trying to make sure the stuff I picked were all compatible. The issue would be relatively minor for people more experienced but for me it was all new territory. The 420 mm radiator in the AIO cpu cooler and the case caused some incredibly tight fitment between the various components. The cooler is a 420mm Artic liquid freezer II and the case is a Fractal meshify 2, if I got the XL version of the case I probably would've had a much easier experience. It took me a while to figure out how to topmount the radiator in the case and there was a small problem with the io shield on the motherboard because of all the extra thickness for the unnecessary integrated rgb. It caused a bit of a fitment issue in the rear part of the radiator with the top bracket but luckily there are many other mounting points. There is very little clearance with the ram on the motherboard (I was lucky that the ram I picked was low profile) and I had to rearrange some of the case fans. Luckily there was a video on youtube with this case and aio combo where they talked about encountering these same issues.

Okay, with problems out of the way onto the good stuff. It was genuinely enjoyable to build this thing. I spent a while picking out the main components and putting them all together was good fun. After dealing with the aio radiator in the case, everything around the motherboard fit together pretty well. With it all assembled everything posted just fine the first time :) , well after I forgot to switch on the psu in the back lol. The cpu and version of the motherboard bios it shipped with detected all 128 gb of ddr5 ram without issue. It was easy to update the bios to the latest version but it was missing some drivers on the OS level.

Because I'm a novice in much of this I am not too familiar with many of these specs but this msi z790 carbon motherboard has some default auto overclock type settings for the cpu and automatically had a preloaded xmp memory profile. I have a lot to learn about all theses bios settings. All the settings for me to take advantage of these parts are in the bios but I need to learn what they all mean.

The cpu, with the default profile for being watercooled in the bios, has an auto boost and unlocked power limit which lets the intel i9 13900k go all out under an all core load and reach a 300+ watt usage and bounce off 100C while blasting at a constant 5.5+ Ghz on all those P cores the entire time. I ran cinebench, blender and 3dmark a few times and under full load this cpu can get real power hungry and real hot real fast. It's really cool, just like having access to a high performance vehicle. Realistically, I'll probably turn off the auto boost and set a hard upper power limit in the bios to limit heat. I tested a 200 watt upper limit earlier and it ran much cooler under full load, around 70-80C tops with only a minimal loss in performance. I'll figure out some settings that work for me. Even under default auto oc style settings the system is actually very manageable when doing light work and even moderate gaming. Just browsing the web, running basic programs and light gaming will hardly tax the system (cpu power usage of around 20-140 watts with temps 35-65 C). Even under heavy gaming the temps only go up to around 70-80C.

This msi 4090 gpu is comically large and also incredibly powerful. Testing out some light rendering workloads in blender and unreal engine with some synthetic benchmarks from 3dmark thrown in for good measure have been super fun. The card chews through even 100% utilization workloads and I've only seen temps around 70C top. Most modern games, even on all max settings at 1440 x 3440, hardly stress this card. The card is so large it smushes some sata and usb 3.0 header cables underneath but it's not too bad.

This modular 1200 watt atx 3.0 corsair psu made cable management and installation pretty easy and this mobo is wild with the amount of options, I love it, now I need to go open some bay doors

I (29m) work for a small start up style company. It is a family owned business, with multiple siblings from the family working both as owners and executives in the company, including one sibling, who is the company President. All of the family members are relatively young (late 20s - mid 30s), have little to no previous management experience, and try to preach a "we are not like other companies" mantra.
Normally, I work full remotely, and am not related to any of these individuals, but am required to come in every couple of months for team meetings. I am very much not a hug type of person, and very consciously want to separate my work life from my personal life. While in office for meetings, I notice that the senior managers and owners are very touchy, with each other, and with other in office staff. I have suffered through this repeatedly, accepting hugs from both these company owners, and strangely their father, who also is often in their office, overseeing his kids and their business.
After much reflection, I decided when the company President (35m) approached me and grabbed me, that I did not want to engage physically in this way anymore. I promptly put up my hand in the stop position, and said "I am not feeling very huggy today" and stuck out my hand for a handshake. The response was immediately negative - with a loud huff and a public display of displeasure on his behalf. The only response I got back verbally was "Wow". Later, when talking to one of the other siblings in a "review" setting, it was mentioned that there were concerns that I did not understand the "culture" of said company. During company lunches, I very much got the impression that I was on the "outs", and that other members of the family had discussed the instance amongst each other.
I have reflected a lot on this, and am worried that my refusal to hug everyone is impeding my career. Other people have been let go from this company for what was described to others as "cultural fit" reasons. Maybe my tone was a bit strong, and previously I had uncomfortably accepted these hugs, but I in a way I am happy and relieved that I had stated my boundaries.
So Reddit.... AITA?

So last week, I went to see my grandma (mom's mom) who lives 4 hours away because I was going to a concert there and stayed overnight. I decided to see her because her husband died recently and we've been trying to build a relationship. My grandma wasn't a great person, parent to her kids, or grandma to me, my siblings and my cousins. However, in her old age she seems to have done a lot of self reflection, actually grown out of most of her toxic ways and respected my boundaries which is why we are trying to have a relationship. Honestly the trip was a shit show at first, but was a fun experience. My grandma took me and my fiance to this Mexican place in her city and we hung out for a bit, overall wasn't a bad experience and went way better than I expected.
Well after I left her place, she called my mom to talk about how I went to visit her. Shes a lonely old woman who no one in the family cares about due to her toxic past behavior, so I don't blame her for being excited someone came to visit. My mom wasn't aware I was doing this because I've been NC\ very LC with my mom since last June. In fact I didn't even tell my brother whom I'm close to because I didn't think it was anyone's business what I choose to do. My little brother texted me when I got home saying "mom's mad that you went to visit grandma but you refuse to talk to mom" which I proceeded to say "grandma has apologized and acknowledged the harm she's caused in my childhood and we're working on having a relationship, mom should be happy for me not jealous"
Well today my mom decided to post on Facebook "So according to the WebMD definition of parentification I have never done nor did I do that to to my kids. Glad I didn't" and her parentified me is one of the things she refuses to acknowledge she did which is part of the reason I went NC\LC with her to begin with. So I decided to go look up the WebMD "definition" of parentification and I find it baffling she genuinely doesn't understand how she did that to me if she actually read the damn article.
I had to care emotionally, physically and occasionally financially for my siblings. I had to break up my mom and dad fighting and protected my mom from being beat at times. She made me her personal therapist to the point where I know things about her and her life no child should ever know about anyone, let alone a parent. I had to raise myself, and I'm still learning how to raise myself at almost 23. It makes me so mad that she says "I rasied my kids by myself with no help and I'm still rasing them by myself" and then I say "hey remember these things I did, I helped raise them too" and then suddenly she has lost giant list of people who helped her raise the kids, but I'm never on it. I genuinely don't understand and it's frustrating. And then on top of that, how can you be so set in your ways to the point I'm labeled the toxic one, and then get mad I'm talking and went to visit grandma?!
Like what is it?! Am I the narcissistic liar who "got cut out of your life" because I want you to "apologize for the wrong other did"? Or am I your child who won't have a relationship with you for some reason but am willing to have a relationship with "the trash"?! Wtf! No matter what I do I can't win?! Everything I do makes her "feel bad" and I'm the bad guy?!
