2023.05.18 00:23 tbird920 Anyone know what's being built off Alton near the Irvine/Lake Forest border?
Just southwest of Baker Ranch. The closest intersection is Alton/Irvine Blvd. It's a uniquely designed structure, like a community center or private school, surrounded by a tall brick wall.

2023.05.11 21:49 ToiletFullOfBroccoli Wireless CarPlay crashes at one specific location [Culver City, CA]
Has anyone experienced their wireless CarPlay completely crash when driving by a specific location, disconnecting audio/display and then reconnecting a minute later?
There is one block where this consistently happens for me in Culver City, CA. Ironically, it is right next to an Apple corporate office where Apple Music and Beats are located (The approx coordinates are 34.021047, -118.379329, on Jefferson Blvd near the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook). I almost think there is a strong radio frequency being broadcast nearby that is interfering with wifi or bluetooth or both.
I'm usually running Google Maps and Overcast or YouTube Music at the time. The same crash doesn't happen in my other car that has wired CarPlay, so I don't suspect this is an issue with Maps/GPS causing the system to crash at those coordinates.

2023.05.11 05:22 OwenE700-2 Last day tomorrow—Pasadena to Santa Monica Pier
| Picked up car in Milwaukee nine days ago. (Cheaper car rental than Chicago.) Got the classic Route 66 begins here photo and hit the road. Tomorrow is day 10. Nothing left to do but get to the Pier and declare victory. I have to admit to a little bit of Route 66 fatigue. Driving through the desert was melancholy in some places; being bypassed can be fatal to a town. Anyone else glad to get to the end of the road and park the car for awhile? submitted by OwenE700-2 to route66 [link] [comments] |
