If we can all help we will make it not so hard to Ukrainians
2023.03.21 13:01 Far-Childhood9338 If we can all help we will make it not so hard to Ukrainians
I m European already send clothes to Ukraine a full truck, but now its worst, its winter.
- will need one person that understands about webdesign and managing social media
- also need someone that understand about accounting ad more important, donations and things like that,
those 2 people will manage pictures and social media plus all the accounting and money donation.
The idea is
- we will get a few trucks full of clothes( free ) and get that till Ukraine
- we will stay there for about 5 to 6 months doing volunteer work, helping with evacuation of civilian, helping with distribution of food and other things.
spoke with a few people and its possible to take a few trucks and a few SUV, ambulance, mobile clinic,
(I am not sure if op needs or already has:)
- 2 truck drivers able to go back and front to get all the stuff from border to us plus
- 4 security veterans,
- 28 Ukrainian people able to speak English and translate for all the team and all the time, if they able to cross borders even better, training will be provided near the border,
- 12 drivers with experience in long vehicles,
- 11 drivers 4x4,
- 3 paramedic driver,
- 3 paramedics,
- 6 nurses
- 3 doctors, 1 general medicine doctor, one experienced with sharps wounded people,
- 2 uav drones drive god ones,
- 10 security veterans,
- 2 communication and filming,
Now the main objective is to go to towns that are recently liberated or on the front line, take civilians out, leave food in, take wounded out, take them to treatment in our safe back place, and do first aids, then take them to hospitals far away from front lines.
All that will be filmed and put in web social media, creating revenue with donations.
Clothes can get a truck loads per month for free, donations,
drones will give us safe places and safe roads in front of us and in towns before we go in,
communications, so no one stays back or not informed,
security so when we take the trucks full of stull food and clothes, there are no panic or disorder,
Now if there are people that can help to increase visibility of this post, I did some work like this in Africa and South America, but will need a strong team. Training can be provided after the wester border in an academy for 2 weeks for some of the people that have no training, if you can help please send me an email

2023.03.21 13:01 chinwan1 Belt Conveyor Systems
Throughout the world, industries large and small need a way to move products, parts, and other materials across rooms and buildings and in and out of buildings and trucks. While the solution to these problems used to be extra workers, today the answer lies in belt conveyor systems. These sometimes complicated networks of motorized conveyor belts help with an assortment of industries. Often made of rubber, plastic, or other materials, conveyor belts have a number of applications and are suited to many jobs. From handling rocks and cement to food and parts, conveyor belts have several desirable features.
Material Handling system malaysia Save Money Belt conveyor systems can save industries a lot of money on labor. The assembly line method of production began in the early 1900s, especially with the automotive industries moving into mass production. Workers being able to do their job and then send the part or product to the next stop on the line without leaving their post means more finished products by the end of the day. Conveyor belts can be customized as to speed and spacing for the ideal setup.
Flexible As already mentioned, belt conveyor systems find a host of applications in modern industry. Some are networks for production lines, others are used to catch scrap and haul it away nice and neatly. Belt conveyors can be used for heavy loads, such as in aggregate industries. Aggregate belt conveyor impact beds absorb the force of the loads to protect the belt and keep it running smoothly for years. Smaller, lighter items such as plastic parts can also be sent down conveyors. Specialized belts with side guards can help keep such products on the line. There are magnetized belts that keep scrap from flying off the belt, steel belts that can carry hot and oily parts, cleated food grade belts for sanitary food processing and distribution. Belts can run in a straight line or curve, as conditions demand. Even if the space is tight, low profile conveyor belts are a specialty that are specifically designed to fit in tight quarters. Belts can even be spliced and joined together, such as in vulcanizing coal conveyor belts.
Elevator conveyor system malaysia Maintaining Belt conveyor systems should be checked regularly for wear and tear. They can crack and split, interrupting production and costing a company lots of money in the process. Depending on how they're used, this could lead to damaged parts, equipment, or especially people. Properly maintaining belts will prevent accidents on the job. If a belt is cracked, it may not have to be replaced entirely. Clamps can be used to hold a belt together if it cracks. Having a complete set of belt tools, including a splicing kit, on hand is essential. That way repairs can be made as needed without an entire belt replacement.
Flexible conveyor system malaysia There seems to be no end to the uses of conveyor belts. An ingenious invention, they now keep many industries afloat and help companies produce en masse without all the labor costs. Belt conveyor systems help industries save money, they are flexible and adaptable to different environments and industries, and they are relatively easy to maintain.

2023.03.21 13:00 senseloffpage Heavy machinery solutions - Overview
Heavy machinery solutions infrastructure refers to the network of systems, facilities, and equipment necessary to support the operations of heavy machinery. These machines are used in various industries such as construction, mining, agriculture, and manufacturing, among others. The infrastructure necessary to support these machines can include everything from roads and bridges to maintenance and repair facilities.
One of the most critical aspects of heavy machinery infrastructure is the transportation network. Heavy equipment is typically oversized and overweight, and it requires specialized transportation equipment to move it from one location to another. This can include specialized trailers, cranes, and trucks that are designed to handle the weight and size of heavy machinery.
In addition to transportation infrastructure, heavy machinery also requires specialized facilities for maintenance and repair. These facilities must be equipped with the necessary tools, equipment, and skilled personnel to perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery. They must also be designed to handle the weight and size of the equipment and provide adequate ventilation and lighting for the safety of workers.
Another important aspect of heavy machinery infrastructure is the availability of raw materials and resources. Many heavy machines are used in industries that require large amounts of raw materials, such as mining and manufacturing. Adequate infrastructure must be in place to transport these materials to the factories and plants where they are processed.
The development of heavy machinery infrastructure has been critical to the growth and development of many industries. Without the transportation networks, maintenance facilities, and raw materials necessary to support heavy machinery, many industries would be unable to function. The construction of infrastructure also creates jobs and spurs economic growth, making it an essential component of economic development.
However, heavy machinery infrastructure also has its challenges. The construction of large transportation networks and maintenance facilities can be expensive and time-consuming. The maintenance and repair of heavy machinery can also be costly and require skilled labor. Additionally, the transport and processing of raw materials can have environmental impacts if not properly managed.
In conclusion, heavy machinery infrastructure is a critical component of many industries. It includes everything from transportation networks to maintenance facilities and raw materials. While it has its challenges, the development of heavy machinery infrastructure is essential to economic development and the growth of industries that rely on heavy machinery.

2023.03.21 12:47 Cowboy12034 I like working in trades but my degree is in computers. What should I be doing? Not great with math by the way.
I love building things but my degree in is computer sciences. I have built furniture before small things for wife and I. I can drive and pull trailers quite well. I can rebuild computers almost from the ground up. NOT THE BEST WITH MATH.
What should i be doing? I don’t like sitting at a desk but I don’t want to come home completely dirty every day, I can do that building our ranch over time. We are starting from the ground up it take a long time.
I’m not talking a beef ranch. I’m talking a small hobby farm as most would call it but it’s not a farm we aren’t growing hay or other crops but starting to raise some small animals.
I run a small business working on computers and other technology while also offering to tow trailers. My CDL is not for drying semi truck but for at most a tri axel or even a small combination truck and trailer.
My computer and tech skill are constantly growing at is tech it self. I love wood working but don’t have a good shop to work in at all. Not talking house carpentry but just wood working in general. Would try metal work but haven’t wanted to afford a welder and all the stuff to go with it.

2023.03.21 12:47 Cephalomagus 2023 Season 2 Patch 2 Release Notes
The Release Notes for today's Patch are copied below, and have been posted to the iRacing Forums here:
https://forums.iracing.com/discussion/39308/2023-season-2-patch-2-release-notes-2023-03-20-02#latest
2023 Season 2 Patch 2 Release Notes [2023.03.20.02]
This Patch includes a variety of updates and fixes for the 2023 Season 2 Release.
SIMULATION:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Physics
- Fixed an issue where cars would appear to fly above the track surface at Charlotte Motor Speedway - Rallycross when back-patching was not in effect.
Graphics
- A new graphics option, ZBuffer32Bits, has been added to the “rendererDX1.ini” file.
- - - This option is enabled (set to 1) by default, and forces the Simulation to use a 32 bit depth buffer. This helps NVidia users who are seeing excessive z-fighting. This option uses double the video memory for the depth-stencil buffer (it will grow from 32-bits to 64-bits per pixel).
AI Racing
- AI Drivers have improved their racing behavior with the Skip Barber Formula 2000 and should be less likely to slide and smoke. Both were bad for their health.
New Damage Model
- With the systemic New Damage Model changes released with 2023 Season 2, many vehicles were in a place of unrealistically higher durability. This patch includes a variety of vehicle body panel adjustments that should generally weaken their strengths, and make the cars much more realistic. We continue to assess realism and balance for New Damage Model cars with the 2023 Season 2 changes, and additional updates to these or additional cars may be in future Patches. The vehicles affected by these changes include the following:
- - - GT4 Cars
- - - NASCAR Classic 1987 Cars
- - - Touring Class Cars
- - - Dallara F3
- - - Dallara iR-01
- - - Dallara IR18
- - - Dirt Street Stock
- - - Formula Renault 2.0
- - - Global Mazda MX-5 Cup
- - - Indy Pro 2000 PM-18
- - - iRacing Formula iR-04
- - - Mercedes-AMG W13 E Performance
- - - SCCA Spec Racer Ford
- - - Street Stock
- - - USF 2000
Replay
- Fixed a Simulator crash issue that could occur while fast-forwarding or rewinding a Replay for a Session that included driver swaps.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the window title bar to show the wrong message when saving a replay.
CARS:
--------------------------------------------------------------
ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala / Gen 4 Cup

2023.03.21 12:13 Ambitious_Camera_974 The way the Amish use technology is the essence of good digital minimalism.
I've recently been learning about Amish communities in the US. As a staunch humanist I can't get behind the religious views, but I am very interested in the way they decide as a community what technology they will use and what they won't. For example, some builders (lots of Amish are contractors) own mobile phones which are permanently fixed into their trucks. It allows them to be contactable to do their job, but they don't get exposed to what they see are the dangers of constant connection.
Of course we don't have to do that ourselves, but isn't that an interesting way of thinking about technology?

2023.03.21 12:10 Monstertim1 The kraken has a song to sing, and the first verse is the sound of you drowning.
I always loved to swim in the ocean.
For some reason, I could hold my breath for long periods of time, which let me stay under the surface for an ungodly amount of time. I also had good arm and leg strength, which is how I can swim around quickly. My parents knew this ability, and they often took me to the beach for me to enjoy swimming around for hours, swimming around like my life depended on it.
The sea was a big part of my life, and it was like family to me, I loved it, and I never wanted it to go.
When I turned just about 23, I got a job as a diver. My task was to explore the seafloor, as only 5 percent of the sea was discovered, but due to my unique lungs, not something that my doctor can even explain, I can last just about half an hour underwater without air. Some have joked that I am just a waterproof robot, but it's hard to explain to people who don't listen.
“Are you ready for your next mission?”
Those were the words of my boss informing me of my task. I needed to explore the area around an area called the “Challenger Deep,” which is located at the southern end of the Mariana Trench. It's pretty deep, and water pressure can be difficult to deal with, but despite my boss insisting that I get a submarine to help with my safety, I promised him that I’d come back in one piece, and even if I die, my research could help a new generation of sea exploration, which he finally agreed and let me go. I was sitting on the boat taking me there, and I was slowly approaching the destination. The boat driver slowed down the boat as we were directly above the Challenger Deep. “Just note, I was ordered that once you leave the boat, you aren’t allowed back on until at least an hour. No turning back, are you sure you’re ready?”
I nodded my head. And after putting on my diver gear so I can see, and attaching a camera (which was waterproof, which should be obvious) to me so I can record my findings, I plunged into the water, and started swimming down.
The sea was slowly getting darker and darker. I haven’t seen any sea animals around yet, which was a little concerning, but I couldn’t go back, so I pushed forward and continued to swim down.
I turned on my flashlight once it got too dark where I couldn’t see anything. I couldn’t see any organisms this deep. Normally, this would be the part of the sea where you find animals like sharks or special fish, but nothing. Did I come at the wrong time, or am I this stupid as a human male to notice anything? Whatever it is, it truly beats me.
Once I swam deep enough, I saw something, a shipwreck. It was worn, and torn to bits. It's like a kraken assaulted it and dragged it to the sea, to a place no one (except me and maybe the chance of a fish or something to see) to ever find it.
“Of course, that can’t be the case. Krakens don’t exist, right?” My thoughts pondered, as I swam even closer to the ship.
I swam inside the boat through a hole that was on the outside. It looked like a place where people would live. There were cabinets, dining items, and I even found a chest, filled with nothing.
I truly thought something was here, which is why I am down here. My camera was recording all of this, which was a good idea, since I probably couldn’t prove this all on my own. But after a few minutes of looking around, I just realized it's been 25 minutes. I needed air. If I could swim back up quickly, I could get some oxygen and swim back down. So after I said my goodbyes to the ship, I swam out of the ship and started my swim to the surface.
But the sea had other plans.
There was a rush of water, and I was almost blown off course. I saw a bunch of slimy tentacle-like tendrils, as it was followed up by a metallic screech. And then I saw its horrifying face. The face of a massive squid, or in other words, a kraken.
I spent no time trying to swim away, but it swung its tentacle at me, barely missing me. I panicked so badly that I dropped my flashlight. I couldn’t swim back down to get it. Even if I managed to evade the kraken, going to grab the light would waste time for me to reach the surface, which could lead to drowning.
I was distracted, and it grabbed me, its slimy tentacle wrapping around me tightly. I felt a massive rush of air leave my lungs. It felt as if my rib cage was being damaged, and I would be squeezed to death. It held me in front of it, and it squeezed me even harder. Normally, if I was on the surface, I’d scream in pain, but I’m under water, I can’t do that. No one can hear me.
No one can see me.
It wasn’t doing anything, it was just tightening its grip as it gawked at me. And then, still holding me, showed its spiny teeth, and was pulling me closer and closer. I tried to squirm free, but its grip was too tight, I couldn’t break free.
I had a small pocket knife for emergency purposes, and it happened to be right where my camera was, on a rope-like necklace. I tore it off, and I proceeded to stab it deep into the kraken. It screeched in pain, as it lost grip of me because it was too focused on the wound. I took the knife out of it so it could bleed out, although from its massive size, it can’t die from blood loss from a wound so minor for its size.
I managed to escape the sights of the kraken. But I ran out of air, and after trying to push through, it wasn’t enough, and I drowned.
But I was revived later via CPR. The boat driver saw my body, and broke his orders to get my limp body to the boat where he soon drove me to shore. I was sent to the hospital, and a X-Ray scan showed that, except my skull, my entire body, especially my rib area, received significant damage, and while it wasn’t lethal and I could still live, I would need intensive recovery, and too much movement could slow down the process.
I was driven back to my job. They decided that due to the injury, I should take my stuff home as I was going to take a break from working, so I was forcibly suspended, or whatever the word is. When we arrived, I immediately went to the bathroom and took off my shirt. There was a massive black bruise on my stomach, it looked like a line with circles. Touching it hurt badly, obviously, but this was a new type of pain. It felt as if I was being hit with burning rocks in the bruised area each time I touched it. I put my shirt back on, grabbed my stuff and left the workplace, driving home.
We didn’t tell the doctors and nurses about the footage or my adventure down into the Challenger Deep. They didn’t think they would take us seriously. We decided not to publicly upload the footage to prevent anything rash happening.
But, the past is the past. There is nothing I can do.
I still love the ocean, though.

2023.03.21 11:56 LonnieJay1 Storytime: the first time I shot up, part 3
2 days later.
"Alright, Theo. Thanks for your help moving stuff, and thanks for driving the U-haul," I say.
"No problem, Lonnie. You're a real stand-up guy for letting me stay here," Theo says, running his hand through his quickly-growing brown hair. Theo is just another young, white, decent looking, blue-eyed Jersey boy that came to (state name redacted) to get clean and wound up worse off on drugs.
I’ve been loosely keeping track, and it seems that 9 out of 10 of us that came down here to get clean are getting high again. This isn’t a return to the status quo, though: now we are using drugs in (region name redacted), which has become an absolute oasis for drug addicts that are getting high.
Some people call the dance of going in and out of rehab the ‘Shuffle’. Some say they are stuck in the ‘revolving door’. Jail definitely, definitely makes us worse, but these rehab-vacations don’t seem to be helping much, either.
"Alright, Theo. Konichiwa and all that, but I’m going to bed," Lynn says, while walking from the living room to the bedroom. She’s drunk, so she’ll be asleep in no time. She loves to sleep; it’s her escape.
Next thing I know, Theo and I are alone. Lynn probably knows that he and I are both still getting high on opiates and just doesn’t care – as long as she is fucked up, too.
"Wanna finish the blunt?" I ask, after Lynn has been gone for a few moments. He nods and leads me in the direction of the front door of our newly leased one-bedroom apartment. We step outside, into the muggy night. Despite the fact that it's November, t doesn’t feel like winter is on its’ way. We walk into the grass behind our apartment building.
"I got a favor to ask, Sir Lonnie," Theo says. I re-light the blunt and hit it.
“Shoot,” I say.
"I got a girl who's been on backpage, and business has been going well with me serving as her protection. The problem is, the dude whose car I've been borrowing can’t let me borrow it anymore. If you let me borrow your car overnight, I can bring you back a couple oxys or something in the morning," he says, taking the blunt when I pass it.
"Backpage? She's a hooker, or your girlfriend, or both?” I ask.
"She's a good hooker that makes a ton of money and needs protection. I don’t know if I’d call myself her boyfriend," Theo says, before hitting the blunt.
"Ahh, I don't know, Theo. I can't let anything happen to that car. That’s the only thing I own in this world," I say. This seems like a bad idea. Theo looks into my eyes and takes a huge hit. Everything is quiet for a second, save the omnipresent bugs. He exhales.
"You don’t even have to do anything, and nothing is going to happen," Theo says, passing me the blunt back.
"How do you know? How’d you even meet this girl?" I ask.
"She was in treatment with me,” he says.
“How long has she been a hooker?” I ask.
“She just started when she got down here. All her clients are clean, rich types. Some of them even let me come in there and drink and get high with them after they’re done. One of them gave me this watch,” he says, holding up his wrist, showing off a decent-looking silver watch.
“I don’t know anything about watches, but that looks like a nice one. That’s cool, I guess. At least she’s not a dirty street hooker,” I say.
“Yeah, bro, it’s a good set up. We been doing it for two weeks now. Listen, I know how much you love your car. Nothing is going to happen, except you’ll go to sleep, and I'll be back at 6 AM with a few oxys for you," Theo says. I hit the blunt. I can tell he really wants to borrow my ear. I don’t want to say no to him.
“Or I can get you dilaudids. Dilaudid is even better than heroin. That rush is crazy,” he says, and he’s right: dilaudid has somehow slipped through the cracks. Right after the crackdown on oxy and the formula change of oxycontin, everybody who didn’t switch to heroin seemed to switch to opana and dilaudid, which both offer even better IV rushes than oxy, although oxy was certainly the gateway for all of us.
"Fuck it, you can borrow it. You have to promise to be careful, though," I say.
“I pinkie promise,” he says, holding his pinkie out to me.
One week later.
I turn off (street name redacted) and onto 2nd Street. I check the time. 5:57 AM. I didn’t sleep all night, in a futile attempt to quit.
Great job, Lonnie. You almost made it through a whole night. Such a bitch, you can’t-
I sink a little lower in my seat, to hide from my anti-self as well as to hopefully prevent being seen by the dealers I ripped off on 6th or 10th street. I take a left on the Avenue, the road that runs parallel to the main road that I have to avoid now, driving as fast as I dare through this little ghetto just a few minutes away from downtown, one of the most popular urban centers in this whole region.
I speed past 6th street specifically, more scared not to glance down the street then I am to glance down it. I don’t see the man with the dreadlocks that I robbed. I feel a little bit safer. I pass 7th street, and then turn onto 8th street.
Lynn kicked Theo out when she found out that he was using my car to chauffer his hooker girlfriend around, so I need a new connection. I wish I didn’t rip off the big man with the glasses on 10th Street. I should’ve known that robbing him wasn’t going to force me to quit.
As soon as I turn on 8th street, my attention is pulled in the direction of a large group of people standing in front of one of the houses, though there are people on both sides of the road. There is a short, older black man walking into the middle of the road, waving me down. I drive up and stop in the middle of the road, where the man is standing by the time I pull up, with my driver's side window already buzzing its way down.
"I need heroin. I got 40 bucks," I say, holding my 40 dollars by the shifter, where he can see that I have it but can't reach out and grab it. I know my hand is shaking fiercely.
"I got you right here," he says, pulling a small bag out of his pocket and putting it on my window frame, while at the same time holding his other palm out for the money. All I can see is the yellow design on the small, 1”x1” bag. My eyes are locked on the bag as I put the money in his hand. The second he has the money, he tosses the bag in my lap, even as I reach for it, and speed-walks away from my car.
I begin to drive again and check all my mirrors while rolling my window up. No police. That was really fast.
I take a closer look at the bag in my lap. The near-perpetual agony of withdrawal will start to recede once my brain knows that I have heroin. One side of the bag is made opaque by a geometric yellow design. I turn the bag over. This heroin is surprisingly white. I smell it.
My stomach does a backflip. The smell is unmistakable: it’s powerful cocaine. I drive up to the next stop sign and hit a U-turn. People on both sides of the street watch as I pull my bright red car up to the same spot. My heart is racing.
The short older man who sold me the cocaine walks around my car, to the driver’s side window, which is open once again.
"Yo, man, you gave me some coke on accident. I really need some heroin," I say, holding the bag in my lap.
"You don't want the coke? Give it back to me, then," he says, his face contorted with anger, reaching into my lap for the coke. I hear other people yelling in the background as I pull the coke away from him.
"Come here, you little motherfucker," he murmurs angrily, grabbing me by the hair. I feel myself moving my head towards his hand to relieve the pressure, while at the same time pressing on the gas to pull away. My scalp lights up with pain as I feel my head yanked towards the window, then I am free.
I glance in the rear-view mirror and see the short man yelling something after me and other people standing in front of the house, watching and laughing. I roll my window up and try to rub the pain in my scalp away.
Fuck, I still need heroin! I writhe in my seat. My heart feels like it is going to explode. I am shaking. My stomach churns with anxiety. My legs kick incessantly; even my toes are moving restlessly.
I turn right on the Avenue again. I need to get out of (ghetto name redacted) and regroup.
A young, thuggish-looking man in purple shoes waves me down. He looks like a middleman or a jackboy – a thief. I drive past him. There is an oldhead wearing a neon work vest sitting on a milk carton at the next 4-way intersection. He nods at me.
I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach about this man, too, but I am possessed. I watch as my window rolls down again, seemingly of its’ own accord.
"You have any heroin?" I ask, inwardly cringing at the desperation I hear in my own voice. I know I look like an absolute fiend right now.
"How much?" he asks, standing up from his box and looking up and down the street casually.
"I got $40 to spend,” I say, trying to calm myself down.
"I got two caps I can give you for that," he says. I open my mouth to ask if the dope is any good, and then I close it. People get angry when I ask, and they NEVER say it’s bad dope, anyway.
I nod at him and pull my emergency $40 out of my right sock. He walks up to my car and gives me two capsules of a tan powder. I hand him my money.
"Take my number," he says. I do.

Last night, Colton Landry's truck hit a pole just around the corner from his family farm.
The Port Haven Police Service released a press statement that a truck had collided with a pole on a country road in the evening, resulting in fatal head wounds to the driver. It was later confirmed that the driver was Colton Landry, a beloved part of our community.
A neighboring farmer was the first to report the crash. When emergency responders arrived, the witness claimed to have seen two women running through the woods. Authorities are asking the public for any information.
Colton was pronounced dead at the scene.
This comes only months after his son Jacob Landry, eight years old, disappeared without a trace from the annual fall carnival.
"We are all just absolutely devastated," say Rita Richards, town council secretary and a friend of the family. "It was such an unexpected death, and so frightening. And after losing little Jacob... that poor family has been through so much."
The Landry Family has lived in this area of New Brunswick from before Port Haven was even incorporated as a village. They worked a large piece of land that was eventually split up into four different farms, one of which was finally inherited by Colton and is still a working cattle farm.
Colton's family were salt of the earth people, working the land for centuries. While they were never the most wealthy family, their influence has touched every part of Port Haven's history.
In October last year, when Colton's eight year old son Jacob disappeared without a trace from the fall carnival, it sparked a fear of stranger danger that has never before been seen in Port Haven.
"I can't remember a crime like this in my career," said Officer Heins, the press liaison on the case. "It really made an impact on this town. Nothing has been the same since."
While news and leads have slowed down in the search for Jacob Landry, Colton never gave up hope.
Colton and his daughter Katherine have become a fixture at farmer's markets, community events, and even just standing around outside the Point after school hours, handing out flyers and asking if anyone has seen anything. Mr. Landry has made it his mission to keep his son alive in everyone's minds.

2023.03.21 11:14 ouroboricDiscordia Dropped a sandbag onto a car from a trestle as a kid
It was the first night out of school during whatever summer vacation this happened during. I was probably 14 or 15. My best friend and I were smoking cigarettes on the train trestle we always hung out on. We walked out to the middle and laid down on the tracks and dropped spit balls on cars that passed underneath, no big deal.
Nearby was a small sandbag smaller than my head. It couldn’t have been more than 2 lbs. No idea why it was randomly there, but it was. Our young brains decided to toss it down on someone. This particular street had lots of construction vehicles that passed under the bridge, and we were waiting for an empty dump truck to toss it into. We figured the echo would be epic and it would scare the shit out of the driver.
No dump truck came in the time it took us to get impatient, so we decided to drop it on a car. We heard glass shatter and brakes screech. Thank god the guy was okay, but he was pissed and threw his car in reverse to try and catch the two of us. He didn’t.
No idea why our young brains thought that was a good idea. It was incredibly reckless and we’re lucky the guy didn’t crash and die. What if he had kids with him? I’m sure his insurance company paid for his damages and he just had a bad night, but who knows what events transpired in his life as a direct result of me and my friend being totally irresponsible assholes.
I wouldn’t tell this story for years in my hometown in case I somehow came across the guy who we did that to. I was worried I’d catch a well-deserved ass beating.

2023.03.21 10:41 quickrubbish Factors to Consider When Choosing a Rubbish Removal Company
Rubbish collection is an important activity that needs to be performed by a reliable company. There are many junk collection companies available in the market, and thus can prove challenging to find the right service provider. It is not uncommon to hire one such company only to realize that it was a total waste of time, failing to live up to your expectation. Therefore, finding a company that can do an excellent job takes time. The factors to consider when choosing a rubbish removal company include:
Capacity It is important to hire a junk removal company that has the capacity to undertake the job. Check the range of work performed by a company before choosing it. A company that offers a wider range of services is better placed to handle unforeseen or complex activities. Furthermore, you may need to hire a company that has all the necessary equipment to carry out the job, including trucks. Find out the size of truck to determine whether the company will be able to handle the amount of garbage in your site, without having to resort to many trips to complete the job.
Recycling policy When junk is carried away from your property, it does not evaporate in thin air. Therefore, it is advisable to check the company's recycling policy before hiring it. Some junk companies use the easy way out to transport all junk, including electronic waste to landfill sites. This is obviously not good for the environment because toxic waste materials find its way into the soil and sources of water. It is advisable to consider a junk disposal company that coordinates with recycling facilities, scrappers and donation centers to dispose waste materials.
Customer service The quality of customer service will give you an idea of the quality of service you can expect from the service provider. Find out the number of options available for contacting the company. Visit the company's website and determine whether it is informative and up-to-date. Furthermore, call and find out how quickly you get a response. Better still, consider getting in touch with the company after normal working hours and see how soon the company gets back to you. This will help you know whether the company cares about customers and will be ready to handle your project professionally.
Price Although price is an important factor when it comes to choosing a rubbish removal company, it should not be considered in isolation of other factors, like quality service, experience, recycling policy and customer service. Generally, people get what they pay for, while no one should accept being overcharged, you should be very suspicious of prices that are way below reasonable price estimates. A company that does not offer price estimates based on the junk's cubic yardage is suspect. Furthermore, be weary of a company that charges based on variables that are beyond your control, such as manpower or time.
At
Quick Rubbish Removals, we take care of all your rubbish and waste removals needs quickly and easily. We have many years of rubbish removal experience and are reliable, professional, and trustworthy.

2023.03.21 10:39 Emerald-Gate [REQUEST] [STEAM] Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic (29,99€)
I'd like to say
Hi to all who considered to read this. This is the first time I'm writing here something (other than just commenting), so I hope I won't break any rule.
About me My steam account and my
Wishlist I'm 22, I'll turn 23 on 24th of March. I recently left school for various reasons, I work partime job from which I pay rent, food, etc. So I'm not left with a lot, but I always try to save some money to buy a bigger game once in a year. However, that means I have to say No to all the smaller things for pleasure. And recently I bought RE4 remake, because I was saving for it since I heard the rumors about Capcom doing its remake. Which is why now I don't have money to spend on other stuff. I know this already means that I'm not that poor and there is plenty of other people who deserve your attention more than I do. Yet recent events made me decide to try my luck here.
(more about what recently happened in why I want the game / why now.)
The game I'm asking for Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic It's city builder simulator set in soviet era. It has all the typical stuff city builder simulators tend to have (eg. Building houses, planning infrastructure, making sure your citizens are happy). But unlike most, this one is set in soviet era, meaning its estetics are typical for that time. Big concrete buildings, sculptures, mosaics, škodovky and trabant in the streets.
Why I want it I live in a country which was part of the Eastern Bloc. We were ruled by the communist. In 1989 there was a Velvet Revolution, you might have heard about it. I didn't live back then. But I grew up in small town where there was a heavy presence of communist architecrute and infrastructure. Typical lamps in its old yellow/red paint, playgrounds for kids in same colors; town square with big heavy concrete flower pots, town hall with mosaic on its fasade. Old cars that were typical for that era. And much more. So there's a lot of nostagia for me for its estetics. Especially now, when a lot of the old stuff I grew up surrounded by is being replaced with modern stuff or just demolished, because it reminds of an old era that people now want to forget. And a lot of the cars, busses, trucks were produced here in this country. The stuff that is present in the game.
Why now Recently the game was pulled off Steam for about a month, because one dude claimed to have ownership rights. So Steam activly hid the game; meaning nobody was able to buy it. The game is now back on Steam, because the dude had no rights to the game. Why he did it? Well, he was bored and has a lot of money. And since the dude is not normal guy, but an nasty word, I suppose he'll try to do it again to hurt the developers. I wanted this game for a long time, but I never forced myself to buy it, as it is a lot of money for me; but the combination of the game being in my wishlist since 2021
(would be longer, but in that year I cleaned my whole wishlist), together with me being afraid the game will once again disappear from Steam and also wanting to support the developers made me want to buy it now. But as I said, I don't really have the money for it. So I tought I could try my luck here.
If you managed to read it whole, thank you for your time and sorry for any grammar mistakes.
