Have any of you guys bought fenders/tourpaks/fairings from either company? I’m looking to buy a paint matched tourpak for my Street Glide, and after pricing out from both Advan and HW, they are only ~$50 different. Looking to see if the quality of one or the other is much better in any of y’all’s experience.

Hi all,
I’m looking to turn my ‘22 Softail Standard into a bagger but what I’m noticing is the lack of hard saddlebags that can get mounted to it. I came across this saddlebag conversion kit from Advanblack but they don’t have an option for the FXST model (noticing this with a lot of manufactures - any reason why?).

They have an option for the Street Bob, which I believe is identical to the Standard with some few exceptions like engine and passenger pillion. The product description mentions that the exhaust should be below the rear axle and it says that it fits the Street Bob. Is there any concern I should have with buying this for my Softail Standard?

Winter parts haul installed, and first ride of the season in the books.
Installed a new heated seat, saddleman road sofa with custome stitching . Tried to match the grey of graphics on the paint. Color matched hand guards, fairing winglets, and hard lowers all from Advanblack. And a new set of grips. Took it out for a scoot after in Iow 40 degree temps and was very happy with the extra wind protection! Morning commutes on these cold NH spring mornings will be much more enjoyable.

2023.01.31 10:01 Chip-Personal Aftermarket backrest pads and king tour packs compatibility

I am thinking of purchasing a saddlemen road sofa ls backrest pad for my 2022 road glide fltrx. I want to be able to install it to an advanblavk king tour pack.
Saddlemen says their backrests are compatible with Harley oem king tour packs.
Advanblack says their king tour packs are only guaranteed to fit the pad it comes installed with. If I want to order just the king tour pack from them I can do it without pre drilled holes.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can make this work?

Anyone have one? They seem to have great reviews and a few solid YouTube videos.
I know advanblack ships from overseas som I’m guessing the Amazon distributor gets them from the same place, so maybe the same product cheaper?

I have an 18 Road Glide and wondering if anyone has any input on the eBay trunks for the harley baggers. This will be used at most once or twice a year on camping trips it will not stay on the bike or be used when the lady is with me. Currently I have a homemade truck out of a pelican case and luggage rack from amazon but it's about 1/2 the size of these. if anyone has any experience with these or can point me in the direction of a cheap one. The advanblack on looks the best but at just shy of $800 for something used so little just can't take that hit on it.

2019.02.25 17:05 cokronk Baggers - especially you guys with specials with the stretched bags - ever scrape you bags?

I’m going to be getting a Road Glide special within hopefully a month or two depending on the weather and the thought of having scraped bags came up. Is this an issue? Will the bike lean enough to scrape the bags? If so, do you guys run skid plates? I’ve seen those advanblack skid plates that stick on the bottom, but it doesn’t look like they would protect the edge of the bags against scrapes.
