Brake Pads, are these good?

2023.03.30 03:54 Particular_Equal_490 Brake Pads, are these good?

Hello everyone, I need some new pads and saw these. Does anyone know how these brakes are from Advanced Autoparts?
Front Pads: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/carquest-professional-platinum-ceramic-brake-pads-front-4-pad-set-pxd1836h/11410590-P
Rear Pads: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/carquest-professional-platinum-ceramic-brake-pads-rear-4-pad-set-pxd1878ch/12504755-P
They are for street daily driving not for the track. I just want to stop when I go fast without noise.
Total price for front and back is around $111 if there are better ones for a similar price please share those as well.
Much thanks everyone!
What about these ? https://m.tirerack.com/brakes/brakes.jsp?make=Centric&model=Posi+Quiet+Ceramic+Pads&group=Posi+Quiet+Ceramic+Pads&autoMake=Honda&autoModel=Civic+Type+R&autoYear=2021&autoModClar=&partNum=C105.18780

2020.12.15 17:33 DangleWoodJohnson Carquest AutoParts in Belgrade, no masks!

Just picked up a part from carquest in Belgrade. Not a single employee or customer were wearing masks.
I start reading this little print out next to the register (that is taped over the distancing guidelines) and it tells a story of woman who can't wear masks because she was raped, and it triggers her. That is all good and there are cases where people do have PTSD. But the irony in that is, they are using this as a case to not wear masks, when normally these people probably give two shits about womans rights and their body.
Anyway, just figured id share this absurdity I came across.

2019.11.30 23:44 tarakurrahman Changing My Rear Brake Pads and Rotors on a 2016 Hyundai Sonata SE with Manual Parking Brakes

Hi Hyundai fam, I have a 2016 Hyundai Sonata SE with manual parking brakes. I got the car a few months ago and got into two accidents that cost me a lot of money to fix. As a result, I am on a budget and not trying to spend a lot of money on expensive repairs. But my car needs new brake pads and rotors for the rear wheels. I called a few mechanics and they are all trying to charge me $400+ for the repair. So I went out and bought the Carquest Ceramic Pads and Premium Rotors from Advance Autoparts for $120. I got a nice 25% discount on the parts for Black Friday. Can anyone tell me what exact tools do I need to have the job done? I know a lot of Autoparts stores rent tools for free. To save money, I am going to rent most of the tools if not all. What are the different torque specs? I searched google and watched some youtube videos but none of them say the exact tools and specs that I need for the job. Any help is much appreciated :)

2017.09.29 18:10 a6mzero Aftermarket CV Axle brand?

Our 2006 MDX needs new front cv axles and I am really trying to avoid the dealership on this one since their prices are REALLY high. Btw rock auto, pepboys, and advanced autoparts, I have 3 choices. Cardone, Surtrack, and Carquest. I'd really like some help deciding since I've already tried one off ebay and it lasted about 20k miles.
I am following /mechanicadvice on OEM engine mounts but no1 had an opinion on cv axles.

2015.04.16 06:06 vanguard_alpha Automotive Retailers

Im interested in the investing consensus on auto retailers, Autozone $AZO, Advance Auto Parts $AAP, and O'Reilly $ORLY.
Autozone is the current top dog but they are playing semantics in stock buy backs when they could be buying anything and everything to build infrastructure. The company is backed by more institutions, carries a large house brand (Duralast), has big advertising presence. Big retail presence. Longest standing rewards program (physical card)
Advance auto parts is expanding in a HURRY. They bought Autopart International, General Parts and Carquest (and worldpac by association). They carry growing house brands (autocraft + wearever). They are big on the commercial side of the business but are wading into the retail side by acquisitions and expansion. They have taken on more corporate debt to build infrastructure. (and post dividends) The rewards program they run just started and is still getting its footing. (No card required just your phone number)
O'Reilly wants to grab market share, they are expanding fast by physically building rather than acquiring. Their advertising is ramping up to autozone levels. Rewards programs running smooth. Competitive with advance on pricing and promotion. The retail side is still building, orders dont have the sourcing Zone and Advance have.
Zone capitilizes in presence.
Advance capitilizes on sourcing.
O'Reilly is hungry and capitalizes on service.
