Green 'Stache. King of Second Bananas. The original pallet swap. Plain old player two. No matter what, Luigi never seems to be able to catch a break, always living in his brother's shadow. But in reality, he's got many advantages over Mario, such as his jump height and being taller. But while he may be a coward, when it comes down to saving those he cares about, Luigi will find the strength inside him to stand up against his foes, be they Bowser's forces or King Boo's spectral legions.
This thread takes the Super Mario Bros. 'canon' as every Super Mario platformer and all closely linked games (the Luigi's Mansion games, Yoshi titles except for Wooly World, and Super Princess Peach). The sole exception is Super Mario Bros. 2, which is confirmed in the credits to be a dream. Hover over each feat for the game they come from. Any feats featuring a different character comes from a game where they are capable of demonstrating the exact same feat.

Life Mushroom

Poltergust 3000

A vacuum cleaner adapted by Professor E. Gadd to be able to suck up ghosts, used in Luigi's Mansion.
Strength

• Sucks up a tablecloth over a long table without moving anything on top of it^LM
• Can suck up large spiked metal balls, hold them, and shoot them^LM
• Sucks up a falling item, shoots it away a distance, and causes it to destroy half of a large rock sphere^LM

Functions

• The vacuum head has a torch function that can quickly be switched out in order to suck up ghosts
• By sucking up different elemental ghosts, the Poltergust can spit out said element
  • Fire elemental ghosts make the Poltergust a flamethrower^LM
  • Water elemental ghosts allow large amounts of water to be sprayed, quickly putting out a burning door^LM
  • Ice elemental ghosts make the Poltergust spew a freezing gas^LM

Other

• Would be unharmed after being struck by lightning strong enough to kill Luigi^LM

Poltergust 5000

An later version of the Poltergust 3000 from Luigi's Mansion 2. It can be further upgraded to the Super Poltergust, which increases its capabilities to suck up ghosts^LM-2

• The Dark-Light creates a rainbow beam of light which reveals illusions. When used on object made to appear invisible, it forced the things causing said illusions out^LM-2
  • Can also be used to let objects and people trapped in paintings out^LM-2
  • If used too much in a short period of time, the Dark-Light overheats and needs to quickly recharge^LM-2
• Can fire objects held by a ghosts it sucks up^LM-2
• Can inflate balloon-like objects and let Luigi fly around^LM-2

Poletergust G-00

The Poltergust Luigi obtained from E. Gadd's car in Luigi's Mansion 3 which has a range of abilities on top of the basic functions presented with earlier models.
Strength

• Spins the handle of a vault door^LM-3
• Sucks up mannequin heads and wigs^LM-3
• Sucks up a duvet and pillows^LM-3
• Sends explosive barrels rolling forwards^LM-3
• Carries around a Toad and shoots them over a wall^LM-3
  • Shoots a Toad with enough force to make them rebound off of walls several times, and to break through brick walls^LM-3
• With the Super Suction upgrade, the Poltergust can be plugged into special outlets to greatly increase its power. Like this, it breaks apart the front half of a ship as well as the front of the wall behind it to suck it up^LM-3
  • Uses this mode to break apart a platform, a music desk, a number of large speakers, and a brick wall^LM-3

Functions

• By charging up its light, releases a bright burst which stuns ghosts^LM-3
• Can swap between a regular torch lens and a special one capable of revealing things trapped in portraits, be it people or items^LM-3
  • Used to reveal hidden objects^LM-3
  • Shows the tracks of a ghost, allowing Luigi to follow them^LM-3

Regarding when the film will be available on Netflix, the answer is less definitive. The first film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, began streaming six months after its theatrical release. Based on this, it is safe to assume Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will see a similar gap between its cinematic and streaming releases. Given the film’s theatrical release of June 2, 2023, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will likely begin streaming on Netflix in December 2023.

This tracks with some of Sony’s bigger releases of 2022. Films like Uncharted and Bullet Train were released on Netflix six and five months respectively after their release in theaters. It's definitely a long read, but it's worth your time, especially if you are new to the community, or dropping by as a result of a link you found elsewhere. We periodically revise our rules, this weekly notice will help keep you informed of any changes made.
NOTE: These rules are guidelines. Some moderation discretion is to be expected.

Community Rules

1. Kindness Matters

Advise, don't criticize.

• Post with empathy, thoughtfulness, and constructive commentary rather than judgment. Don't be an asshole.
• Name-calling, slurs (including gender or race based slurs), and insults towards other community members will not be tolerated. Do not attack others for their personally held values, custody situation, marital status, physical distance from stepkids, or economic status; or on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, or ethnicity.
• No name-calling toward children, including the above-mentioned insults or the term "skids", or terms such as "mini-wife" or "mini-husband."
• Comments advocating spanking or any mention of wanting to harm children are not allowed.
• This is a support sub, not a judgement sub, assholes are not tolerated. Comments with terms used in other subs to pass judgement on assholes will be removed.

2. No Drama

This is a support sub.

• Bickering, nitpicking, and thread derailment will not be tolerated and will be subject to removal at moderator discretion.
• Do not repeatedly badger a poster demanding answers, or refuse to acknowledge an answer that's already been given.
• Do not use sensitive issues from past posts (either from this sub or other subs) to attack another user, as we are all discussing vulnerable topics.
• Crossposting anything from /stepparents to any other subreddit might result in a ban and may result in the original thread being locked. Brigading our sub will result in an immediate ban.

3. Report, Don’t Rant

No backseat modding.

• If you see someone breaking the rules, report the post or comment to the mods rather than engaging them in an argument. Failure to do so may be subject to comment removal at moderator discretion.
• No meta posts complaining about rude comments, DMs, or general sub issues.
• If you think someone is a troll or previously banned user, either use the report function or message the mods to direct their attention to the issue.

4. No Naming & Shaming

No userpings or links.

• Tagging/pinging users or other subreddits in an attempt to bully, harass, or complain will not be tolerated. Do not tag other subs, ever.
• If you want to complain about another subreddit being hostile to stepparents, do not name the subreddit. "Other parenting/advice/judgement subs" will suffice.

5. No Platitudes

Nobody knew what they were getting into.

• Comments like "You knew what you were getting into", "Love them, love their kids!", "They're a package deal!" and "You have to love them like your own!" will be removed.
• Comments suggesting that OP is not cut out for stepparenting will be removed at moderator discretion.
• Comments like "This is just a part of parenting, deal with it!" will be removed at moderator discretion.

6. No Trolling

We have zero tolerance for trolls.

• This is a support sub. Our subscribers do not have the time, nor inclination, to provide support to internet trolls. Posts that are suspected to be trolling attempts will be immediately removed, and the poster banned.
• Concern trolling, devil's advocating, gish-galloping, sealioning, and general asshattery are subject to immediate removal and banning without warning or notice.
• Any attempt to circumvent the ban by creating a new username will be reported to reddit admins and possibly result in account suspension.

7. No Personally Identifiable Information

Use discretion when posting.

• We highly recommend using a separate account for support subs to help prevent being doxxed. Do not post any information that may allow others to figure out your identity.
• Do not post photos of children, or any other photo that could be used to identify you or another user on the sub.
• Any image that contains a name or other identifying information should have the name or identifying information blurred out. This includes drawings, notes, and screenshots.
• Do not link to social media or any articles/blogs where you or another user on the sub is mentioned by name.

8. No More than 2 Posts per 24 hours

Use the daily threads.

• We are not a huge sub, but we are no longer a small sub. If you have multiple grievances to air, use the daily discussion threads instead of multiple posts.

9. Follow Reddiquette

Remember the human.

• Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life.
• Read it in full here.
• Downvoting is reserved for comments that don’t contribute, and shouldn't be used to indicate disagreement.
• If you believe someone is in violation of the subreddit rules, please either use the report function or message the mods to direct their attention to the issue.
• Suspected brigading will be reported to reddit admins.

10. No Porn, Spam, Blogs, or Research Studies/Surveys Without Mod Approval

Just don't.

• This is a SFW subreddit. Posting pornography will result in immediate post removal and permanent ban.
• Advertising on the subreddit (outside of Reddit's own advertising) is not allowed.
• No personal blog posts are allowed without express moderator permission.
• No advertising without prior mod approval.
• No asking for money/posting fundraisers/etc.
• For links to parenting research studies or surveys, please message the mods for permission before posting.

11. Disputes in Modmail Only

Don't argue with the mods on the sub.

• Any issues specifically related to how a mod is moderating should be addressed to the full moderating team via mod mail. This ensures that all mods are aware of any concerns and prevents disintegration of the topic thread at hand.
• This means to do not message or send chat requests to individual mods. All discussion and complaints about mod actions need to be done in mod mail ONLY. Failure to follow this rule can result in an immediate permanent ban.
• Comments in threads asking about mod decisions are subject to removal without notice.

12. Moderator Actions

We aren't kidding.

• Users are expected to know the rules before posting. If you are warned or banned for violating the rules, ignorance is not an excuse.
• Moderators will remove posts and comments and/or lock threads in accordance with the rules above. Typically this happens when threads have gone off-topic in a way that is not productive for the OP, or comments overall have become contentious or disrespectful.
• If a poster continues to argue or to willfully violate these rules, temporary and permanent ban procedures will be followed. Any attempts to avoid or bypass temporary bans will result in a permanent ban. User bans will not be discussed in the sub. Questions posted about user bans are subject to removal and the poster subject to warning/ban procedures. The mod team will not discuss a specific user ban with anyone other than the user involved.
• New accounts are subject to manual approval until they are no longer deemed "new" by the mod team. This helps to weed out trolls and ban evaders.
• We rely on Automoderator to scan for specific words and phrases that are not welcome here and notify the mod team to review the comment or post. This includes slurs of any type and platitudes such as "Love them as your own!"
• The mod team uses a combination of blacklisting and banning when dealing with trolls.
• We employ the use of a bot that automatically bans anyone who comments in subs that have historically harassed our users. If you are picked up by the bot for telling trolls to get fucked, reach out via mod mail and we'll get you sorted out.
• The rules above as well as ban procedures are considered guidelines only; some deviation may be necessary on a case by case basis and/or at the mod team's discretion.

13. Ban Procedure

These actions are at moderator discretion.

• Pornography will result in an automatic permanent ban.
• Extremely egregious content will result in an immediate permanent ban.
• You may receive a 7 or 30 day temporary ban for first and second rule violations, depending upon severity.
• Continued rule violations will result in a permanent ban.
• Willful attempts to avoid or bypass temporary bans will result in a permanent ban.
• We recognize the reddit site-wide rules of using alt names to get around bans and will ban those as well as report them to reddit admins.

FAQ - About the Rules

What does Kindness Matters mean?

• Shortest version? Don't be an asshole. People come here for support and advice, they do not come here to be yelled at or told they are the reason everything is going sideways. There are ways to point out that someone may want to do some reflection on their own actions and reactions without being an asshole about it.
• The purpose of this subreddit is to provide support and a sense of belonging for struggling stepparents. We aren't here to pass judgement, but rather to offer support, empathy, and constructive commentary. That does not include "hard truths" or "tough love." Stepparents get enough of that in every other subreddit, we're not passing it out here. Be respectful.
• Remember, most people aren't going to come to a sub like this when everything is going great and everyone is getting along. People are coming here when they are down, when they are feeling defeated and stretched to the limit. Kicking someone when they are down is shitty behavior and we don't tolerate it.

What about being kind to the kids?

• "Won't somebody think of the children?" Pearl clutching isn't needed here. If you read the Kindness Matters rule closely, you will see that there is a clause in there about name calling children. We don't allow it. We also don't allow people rolling in telling OP that they feel sorry for their stepkids because OP is feeling overwhelmed and overloaded.
• If anyone is advocating slapping, spanking, or any other form of violence, report the comment immediately. We do not advocate violence towards children of any sort. The mod team does not advocate any sort of physical punishment at any time.
• Venting about behaviors is not the same as insulting the kids. However, if you see a post or comment where kids are being name called or dragged to the point of no return, use the report button. We try to catch the posts and remove them before they hit the sub, but we cannot see every comment without your help. Use the report button to bring problematic comments to our attention. Don't engage in a war of words on our subreddit.

Why is this sub such an echo chamber?

• Not allowing contributors to pile on and tell OP that they are a terrible human being who should never be around children does not equate to being an echo chamber. Many contributors here will offer OP suggestions to help them work through their resentments and frustrations, and the most egregious situations are called out. We simply ask that it be called out with respect.
• If you feel that a post is simply too much for you to handle without following the rules, move on to another post.
• If you believe that a post itself is crossing the rules report it. If the mod team has approved the post, it is because the mod team believes that the OP needs help from the community or needs a moment to vent and move on from their vent. That does not give you license to pile on disrespectfully. Unless it is proven that OP is a bot, assume that OP is a human being with real thoughts and feelings and has posted from a place of vulnerability.

Why can't I tell OP that they are an asshole?

• Because this isn't a judgement sub. We aren't AITA, we don't want to be AITA.
• Comments with terms like YTA, NTA, ESH, NAH will be removed.
• Don't start your posts with INFO either. We generally recognize that as a fishing attempt for more information to pass judgement on OP, and again, we are not a judgment sub.

But OP asked if they were an asshole?!

• Their post somehow got past our automoderator. Just use the report button. We will address it with OP.
• If you've asked if you are an asshole, a-hole, a*hole, a**hole, whatever, don't be surprised if your post is removed without warning. This isn't a judgment sub. If you want judgment, you know where to go.

What is a gendered slur?

• While it seems that everyone understands what racist slurs are, people struggle understanding the concept of gendered slurs. Generally speaking, we are talking about derogatory nouns or verbs that are used to negatively describe people or situations based on gendered terms.
• We've gone back and forth on this a few times, and the truth is, we get it, it's your safe space and you want to be able to vent about BM/BD how you want to vent about them, without us telling you how to vent about them. Fair enough. Vent away. What we are going to stick to here how people are referring to other users and to stepchildren.
• Examples that are not allowed:
  • "My SD is such a little bitch."
  • "She dresses/acts like a slut."
  • "My SS acts like a pussy."
  • "My SS is such a beta male."
  • "You are all fucking whores."
  • "Any dude who is raising some sluts kids is a cuck!"
  • "Little Lord Fauntleroy over here thinking he runs the house!"
  • "You're just the bangnanny, get used to it."
• Don't call users here names, don't call stepchildren names.
• Masking the term with asterisks or other neat little tricks might get you around the bot, but if we see it, we're removing it and quite possibly giving you a time out. The intended word is still there and you deliberately tried to skate the rule.
• As there is not enough space to list every term that is offensive and does not belong, nor every situation in which term or phrase may be allowable in context, this rule is enforced based on moderator discretion.

Seriously? You are the language police now?

• We're here to talk about stepparenting. And we would like for that to happen in a respectful way. Attacking each other doesn't help. Belittling stepchildren draws in trolls who don't understand your frustration, all they see is an evil stepmonster talking shit on the internet about a poor, innocent baby. Yes, even if that "poor, innocent baby" just robbed you blind and set fire to the house on their way out the door. That's just how it goes.
• We are aware that this is a relatively new rule and a lot of older posts and comments contain a lot of problematic language, including some from mods themselves. We are growing and evolving, and rules change as the sub grows and evolves.

What does No Drama really mean?

• Pretty much what it says, do not bring drama from other subs into this sub. Do not engage in vote brigades. Do not try to incite other subscribers to riot in a different sub. Don't follow posters into this sub from other subs to continue to harass them. Do not badger someone or derail threads. Do not harass community members because you don't agree with them. There's enough drama in the daily lives of subscribers, more isn't needed.

What is thread derailment?

• When a comment chain has devolved to the point where all you are doing is arguing back and forth with someone about the same thing over and over again, you have derailed the thread. Also known as bickering. It's what children do. We assume if people are in a stepparent role they are adults. We expect you to act like it.
• If you aren't a stepparent, or in a stepparenting role, consider that perhaps this subreddit isn't for you. If you want to participate, do so with respect. Thread derailment, arguing, bickering, and nitpicking are not allowed.

But what if they didn't answer my question?

• No one has to answer your questions. This is a support sub, not an inquisition. Jumping on a bandwagon with "OP is evading the question" in a 20 comment long chain is the epitome of thread derailment. You'll find more information about trolling below and how this might be considered such.

Why am I being silenced? I'm just asking for a back and forth!

• Thread derailment, badgering, and nitpicking are considered harassment. Continued harassment of either community members or mods will get you banned.

Why can't I look at someone's post history and comment about it?

• No mod in the history of this sub has ever once said post histories are forbidden. What we do frown upon is using someone's post history to attack, belittle, or otherwise harass someone.
• Example Post: "My stepkid's mom really hates me. How can I make this better?"
  • Okay: "Based on the timeline and your post history, it looks like this may have started as an affair. Unfortunately there's going to be outstanding issues for a long time due to that. Try focusing on yourself and how you can move forward without worrying about how someone else feels about you."
  • Not Okay: "Holy shit! You were the OW! What the hell do you expect, homewrecker?!"
• Example Post: "I am completely overloaded and feeling very down about myself."
  • Okay: "In your post history you mentioned that your spouse wasn't really helping around the house. Has that changed at all?"
  • Not Okay: "LOL, you already got the answers you need in your post on relationships. You are stupid for sticking with your lazy spouse."

Why can't we crosspost stuff to other subs?

• We can't stop you from doing so. The problem isn't that something has been crossposted, it's when the community that it's been crossposted to feels the need to come over here and harass OP. When we see that happening, we lock the post and start passing out bans. If you did the crossposting, you'll be banned. If you participated in the brigading, you'll be banned.

What if it's my own post?

• Again, we can't stop you from doing so. We prefer that you don't technically crosspost, but rather just copy and paste your post. Why? Because inevitably the above will happen. Redditors from other subs will follow you back to /stepparents and start attacking users here. It just happens.

What is "brigading"?

• Reddit defines vote manipulation and brigading as follows:
• Using multiple accounts, voting services, or any other software to increase or decrease vote scores.
• Asking people to vote up or down certain posts, either on Reddit itself or through social networks, messaging, etc. for personal gain.
• Forming or joining a group that votes together, either on a specific post, a user's posts, posts from a domain, etc.
• We, along with pretty much every other subreddit that has ever had to deal with this nonsense, further define brigading as this: You saw a post on another sub that linked to our sub either via a link in a comment or a crosspost. It was basically saying something along the lines of "OMG, check out these assholes over on /stepparents! They literally hate all their stepkids!" And then you and your friends come over and start hammering on OP and telling OP how much they suck. Congrats, you have just participated in a brigade.

What is this whole Report, Don't Rant thing about?

• If you see a post or comment that breaks the rules, instead of engaging, report it. When you report it, it sends notification to the mod team. We will act on it where appropriate. Engaging with bad faith users may result in your comments being removed. If you repeatedly do so, you may end up being banned.

What if I see an obvious troll?

• Report it.

What if they are being really mean in comments?

• Report it.

What if they are harassing me in private messages?

• Step 1: Report them to admins. You can report harassment to reddit by using this link or send a DM to reddit admins. Include the link to the DM, admins can see your inbox and providing a direct link is helpful for them to weed out bad actors.
• Step 2: Block the person so they cannot directly contact you again.

• Just as we prefer to not be linked to or crossposted from, we do not allow linking to or calling out other subs by name. What does No Platitudes mean?

• Sanctimonious, overused clichés that grossly oversimplify the stepparenting experience are neither wanted nor allowed here. We have all heard it a thousand times before, we don't need to hear it again. It's not nearly as insightful and wise as some would like to think.

Why don't you people understand it's a package deal?

• Any comment that suggests that OP should have known what they were getting involved with, or that they needed to understand that the kids were part of some package they needed to accept before signing up for marriage is subject to immediate removal.
• This is one of the most insensitive things you can say to a stepparent. Most stepparents were aware of the children, but they were probably not aware of all of the family dynamics.

Why can't you just love them like they are your own?

• Demanding that a stranger you do not know love children that are not biologically theirs as if they were theirs can be incredibly damaging to someone who is already in a vulnerable situation. Any comment that falls along these lines will be removed.

What do you mean by No Trolling? I was just...

• No means no. No trolling. No pretending to be a stepparent and then whipping out the Greatest Hits Bingo Card of The Worst Stepparent in the History of Stepparents. We see you. We've seen you a thousand times.

What does "concern trolling", "gish-galloping", and "sealioning" have to do with stepparenting? This isn't a debate sub, why are you using debate terms?

• That's absolutely right, this isn't a debate sub. And yet, here we are, day after day, having to defend ourselves against this sort of thing. So, enough. No more. Usage of any of these things will get you banned.

What is "Concern Trolling?"

• A concern troll is someone who disingenuously visits sites of an opposing ideology to disrupt conversation by offering unwanted advice on how to solve problems which do not really exist.
  • Example Post: OP expresses concern that she will feel, and possibly act, differently towards her stepchildren after her husband decides that no, he doesn't want anymore children after all.
  • Example Concern Troll pulled from actual mod mail after their comment was removed: "Possible child abuse claims need to be sorted out well before whatever empathy you believe the OP was looking for."

What is a "Devil's Advocate"?

• "I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but have you considered that maybe BM is just really tired and needs a break, too?" BM has dozens of different mom based subs alone on reddit she can complain on, this sub is for stepparents. The stepparent doesn't need to consider that maybe BM is just really tired and needs a break.

"Gish-galloping?" What does that even mean?

• The Gish Gallop is the fallacious debate tactic of drowning your opponent in a flood of individually-weak arguments in order to prevent rebuttal of the whole argument collection without great effort. The Gish Gallop is a conveyor belt-fed version of the on the spot fallacy, as it's unreasonable for anyone to have a well-composed answer immediately available to every argument present in the Gallop.

And "sealioning?" What's that?

• Sealioning involves jumping into a conversation with endless polite, reasonable questions and demands for answers, usually of entry-level topics far below the actual conversation (e.g. "please prove sexism exists"). This tactic differs little from harassment; instead of discussion, the point is to derail discussion, receive criticism (for their ignorance) so as to look like a victim, or to make someone feel overwhelmed and quit talking.

Who gets to define what is considered asshattery?

• The mod team, of course! If we feel that comments are out of line, are trolling, are leading up to a fight or "just asking questions", we are going to remove them and most likely ban the offender.

Why was my comment removed?

• Comments are removed when they do not follow the rules of the sub. These rules are published in several places for your reading pleasure.
• Comments are removed at moderator discretion. In some cases your comment may be removed while another remains up. If you find this to be the case, and you believe the comment to be violating the rules, instead of arguing with mods or demanding they remove the additional comments, just report it.

This comment/post is really offensive! Why is it still up?

• All moderators are volunteers and have busy real lives. Sometimes things get past us. The best thing you can do is report anything you find offensive or inflammatory. It's the quickest and most reliable way of alerting us to an issue.

I've received a hurtful/unwanted PM from someone about my recent post. What should I do?

• If you receive an unwanted/hurtful PM from a name you don't recognize, please report it to Reddit Admins using our handy pre-populated form. Be sure to include the permalink to the message. We've been dealing with a few unhappy folks who like to attack stepparents, and reporting it to the admins is the only way to make it stop.

What are the general moderator guidelines?

• Users are expected to know the rules before posting. If you are warned or banned for violating the rules, ignorance is not an excuse.
• Moderators will remove posts and comments and/or lock threads in accordance with the rules above. Typically this happens when threads have gone off-topic in a way that is not productive for the OP, or comments overall have become contentious or disrespectful.
• If a poster continues to argue or to willfully violate these rules, temporary and permanent ban procedures will be followed. Any attempts to avoid or bypass temporary bans will result in a permanent ban. User bans will not be discussed in the sub. Why was I banned without warning?

Tonight my friends band played a show at the tap house in Winnipeg. This was also the first night I told him I was bi. He supported me.
We left after his set and I drove him home.
Something was just off with me and I was having trouble just remaining at his place. There's a gay bar below where he played called club happenings. I couldn't get it out of my mind.
Even though I only felt fear I told my friend I had to go

Bare in mind I was crying when I said so because I'm conditioned to believe I deserve to die.
I drove my social anxious ass all the way back to this gay bar and paid ten dollars to get in an hour before close. I then paid ten dollars for a beer and sat against a wall by myself talking to nobody, because I only have one friend and I've already dropped him off.
I mostly sat cross legged enjoying people being themselves around me.
Through out my sitting by myself like a Buddha the bartenders did stare at me a few times. On the way out one of them touched me on the shoulder and said thanks for coming.
I know they did it on purpose because I was alone and hurting.
I cant explain how much that meant to my suicidal ass.
Just that whole place. Even though I was alone, I felt no fear and it brought me peace .
I've been crying since.

So my story is fucked and I'm tired I'm so fucking tired ND I don't know know what to do anymore. I moved to ny in Jun 2021 i am a traveling cna so essential staying in one place isnt ideal, I ended up meeting a guy on tinder. I met up with him a couple times met his family even went to his dad's wedding on a 2nd date, met the whole family and found out he had 2 baby mammas and 2 kids. Me being the hard headed person I am. I said oh I can handle this. Everything was going grate his mom said she would help us get out own place I was staying w family he was living w his mom didn't really ask why.... shoulda asked why. Anywho, we get the place me him and his son all move into the apartment which everything is in my name so I have to pay for it. His mom helped us get in but she wanted me to pay her back I was originally like ya that's no problem with my traveling job that is fine. Half way threw the month his mom starts asking if I can go work for her part time. Her job needs help and she knew I was a cna. With her being my bfs mom I wanted to do what I could to help. So I started working there part time and traveling part time. Well she started needing more help and convinced me that I would he making the same cuz ot time was the same blah blah blah. Everything is fine its going good I'm working for her I Start making friends. A co worker needed a ride home one night her name well say is lady bug. She becomes my friend that night, I start taking her home every night from work even the nights I didn't work I would go and get her and me and my bf would fight about it and he would say she irresponsible and can't be an adult. Time goes on we find out I'm pregnant. I and been trying for so long to get pregnant this was planned I told him I wanted and kid he said he didn't want one I said that's fine if u end up not wanting him by the end of it we can go our ways and ill go home to my family and he'll go w me. He thought I was kidding. My family lived 3000 miles away when I was pregnant all I wanted to do was see them and I couldn't. But that was okay cuz I had lady bug she was there threw everything the whole pregnancy went to my appointments made my emergency bag for the babe was even there the day after the babe was born to hold him. I thought I had found my ride or die I would do anything for her she said can u come get me I said drop the Addy. She say can I get 20$ id give her what I got..... I shoulda known. She convinces me to leave my baby daddy, she says he's abusive I can do better, that I didn't deserve how he treated me, it gets to the point where I listen to her. I leave him, I'm expecting my bestie to be there to help me I just had my baby at this point, the post partum was kicking in hard. On top of that I was being evicted out of my apartment because he refused to work while I was pregnant so when I went on leave nothing got paid. 3 weeks after having the baby I get cleared to go back to work, this is after having an emergency c section and being put under the gas because my body went into shock. I wasn't supposed to return for 12 and I did it in 3. Scared to lose a roof over my head and scared to lose my kid I had to leave my babe daddy. He didn't care we were getting evicted he didn't care I just had a babe he just didn't care and my son deserved better than that. I leave him October 2022 3 months after the baby is born. Still doesn't have a job still isn't help and has decided he's just going to move into his moms instead of working. She didn't have room for all of us just him what was I suppose to do. It was at this time I realized he didn't care about us and it was up to me. I work my ass off get a place and move he bounces around .mind u I haven't heard nothing from lady bug Come Thanksgiving my bfs mom is like u know he's been talking to lady bug right. I confront them they swear it's nit like that. She swears she's my best friend she could never hurt me or do that. I met this incredible woman about 8 weeks ago off of Bumble. We have been on 3 dates. I live in a Midwest state notoriously known for its low-quality, flaky, non-reciprocal women. The type of "old school" girls that insist on being "pursued" when you know damn well they are attracted most to men who pay them zero attention - and do nothing to even try to get those men!
"Oneitis" is a thing here, purely because there absolutely are no other options. For we men who live in suburbs, we often have to deal with friends and women who live in the city crying and bitching about how "far" away we are - for all those living in the city, anything more than a 10 minute drive is too much. Yet we in the suburbs often commute an hour+ just for work, one way ... daily ...
Yet, I don't have "oneitis" in this sense ... previously, I have never cared much about women, which has actually served me pretty well. I am a heartbreaker, and women tend to leave me around 3 months for the same reason: I hide all women I encounter from all I know. Born to Boomer parents who selfishly started a family in their 40s, living long enough to see grandkids one day has always been their obsession. Both parents played matchmaker notoriously my entire life, which is traumatizing for any man to face: it's not normal to actively wish your son has a sex life, at any age. I am deathly terrified of my parents ever getting the slightest hint I might even be interested in a woman, hence the fanfare of the "inevitable" wedding being planned by my mother. At 33 years old and having never previously been open and honest with women of my past to anybody, literally everybody I know believes me to be "gay". I'm just too damn terrified to progress things further. Women will either leave because they feel ashamed I haven't even mentioned them to my friends when their mother knew all about me the first week. Or I get the "No Spark" CRAP if I move at "too slow" of a pace physically, matching their own pace ...
Not giving much of a shit about women has largely been what has gotten me women my entire life. I am a serial texter however: I am on apps not looking for anything in particular, but merely to just pass my time communicating with anyone. I'm not even lonely, I'm just an incredibly bored guy. I swipe right on everybody for this reason, with absolutely no intention of ever meeting anyone.
But I met her, and something is different. You see, this state is also known for its people being relatively stuck-up and not friendly. Very passive aggressive. I admit this as a native, and am this way myself. For newcomers, this is a very lonely place to be.
This woman happens to be from an hour away from where I went to high school. She was shocked and I think the nostalgia of home (two states away) is what initially drew her to me. I am the type to be big on communication and common values/interests, and I have never connected with anyone like this before. Our similarities, our passions, our experiences are so rare ... and yet we have both had these experiences ... that it almost seems divinely inspired that we've connected. I have even overlooked various things that I have always said I would never get over:
- Age. Age gaps are awful, especially when she is younger. This woman is 5 years older than me.
- Single mother.
- Has a tattoo.
Her middle name is even the same as my sister's first ... which does make my skin crawl a bit.
And yet, suddenly, none of these things have mattered to me for her.
She heavily pursued me early, and I reciprocated as well. We'd talk for hours and hours on the phone, with both of us initiating. We talked about all sorts of things: relationships, philosophy, football, religion, sex ... we had exchanged nudes, which she initiated. The most beautiful woman I have ever been with, by far. An absolute smoke show.
It took us 3 weeks to have a first date, mainly because of me: I started a new job the very day we matched, I wanted to get settled in, my previously noted fears ... and the fact I put on an excessive amount of weight in the years since my father was killed. I am presently down 90 lbs doing the carnivore diet the past 4 months, down from 362 to 272, with another 110 to go for my goal. I was embarrassed and ashamed of this as a former star athlete, warned her that I am heavier than my photos indicate due to baggy clothing. I even lied to her claiming I was 230, when I was 290 for our first date ... I'm already down 18 lbs since our first date! Progress! Yet I was very comfortable with her. I felt I could be honest with the other things: having moved in to support my elderly and disabled mother the past 6 years since Dad's been gone, my big fear of sharing with friends and family about any new girl in my life. None of that seemed to be an issue for her. She was hesitant about me living with Mom, but she understood that valid reason and is willing to grant me the opportunity to eventually move out ... which I'm pleased to say may happen at the end of the month. She did say during this time before we met that right now she's just looking to have fun, and worries that I may "affect her lifestyle" because she can't tell whether I'm looking for sex or a relationship ... but did say she could see us headed towards relationship. But did say our frequent communication would be unsustainable, due to her work.
But we talked a ton those first 3 weeks. One day she invited me to come see her and I made an excuse about being busy ... yet ended up on the phone with her for 10 hours that day. We texted Good morning/Good night every single day in that period. The flirting was tremendous, and at times quite sexual. The morning of the first date, she called an audible and invited me over to her place. I accepted. We had plans for the following day: dinner, bowling, and a movie. Later that afternoon, she asked if I would like to pack an overnight bag, as I do live an hour away. I packed one just in case, even though she requested I get tested before we have sex. She apparently doesn't believe that it's been 4 years since my last partner ... while a fatass, I am that good looking.
Once there, I annoyingly had to wait a half hour as her father was lecturing her over the phone about buying a house. She's looking to purchase. She's also in the military ... both of these are important later. After that delay, she kissed me on the cheek over the candy I got her, we ordered pizza, she put on a couple movies, and we fell asleep for a bit in each other's arms. Her attraction for me was very high early. Finally at the end, we made out ... memory is foggy on who initiated, but I think it was her. She said "I was wondering when you were going to do that, but I thought maybe you were just being shy". Then said "Thought we'd kiss earlier and do other things". Weakly, I joked "what other things" and groped her breast, which she didn't object too. But she offered me to stay the night, as she needed to get to bed ... but was indicating that I would be sleeping alone on the couch. She knew I had not tested yet (still haven't). Not wanting to sleep on the couch, I elected to go home. IS THIS WHERE I FUCKED UP?!?!
We made out again before I left, and we were on for our planned date.

A fucking disaster. The following night, Saturday, I show up to her place. I'm on the phone with a friend of mine so don't notice that she texts a delay. Her ex husband is being a jackass and fucked up regarding her daughter, resulting in a stolen bike. She left basically because he was an alcoholic. I have to wait for an hour and a half for her to come down. The ex sends a group text message between her and his newest ex girlfriend trying to instigate shit, so my girl starts texting this woman and venting and she breaks down crying in my car and we wait for another 40 minutes. I put my arm around her to comfort while she's crying. But she texts this girl the entirety of when we eat and bowl. I am largely ignored, but she vents to me about her ex and such. I don't know how to read this: the date is not about us at all, yet Coach indicates that opening up in such a way as this shows comfort and security. I try to get close as we walk to the movie theatre; she bumps into me as we walk side-by-side, but I'm not in a position to hold hands/put arm around her. At the movie, she didn't snuggle up with me, and at one point, asked how long the three hour epic that was Guardians. Again, being in the military, she tries to be in bed by 8 or 9pm. I drop her off at her apartment, thinking I blew this whole thing and not knowing why. Was it really the weight afterall?!
She didn't invite me in. She told me I did an excellent job and did everything right. She kissed me. I asked her if she'd like to get together that upcoming Tuesday, when she didn't have the kids. She said she'd love to, but we didn't make a definite date. And where I am confused again ... she re-entered my car and we made out again, and she asked me to text her when I got home to know I had made it safely. I did just that.
If her interest is low, why would she make out with me?!?!
The following morning just before noon, she texted me about how off her sleep was: "I'll chat again when I'm back up from this cat nap - so I can catch up on sleep for work tomorrow :) talk soon! I'm not ignoring just need rest"
Strange that she'd offer that? Did she realize she fucked up on our date? For the next 12 days, we still communicated in some form every day. She has initiated text convos 3 or 4 times, I did all the rest during that time. Had one 45 minute phone call at one point. In this convo, I told her I missed talking to her. Mistake? She seems to have gone cold in between dates: she had 15 days straight of military drill and has had problems with realtors on this house hunt. Her parents came up for a half a week (she never mentioned it prior) to assist, and an offer didn't go through. She is under a lot of stress, and I do believe her that she is very busy. But I am very busy too, and I make the time for those important to me. And yet, if I am not important ... why does she volunteer to text me photos of her kids and parents on Mother's Day? Comfort and security, right?
Perhaps I am overreacting, as she always responds to my texts. I miss her effort and our frequency.
I started reading Coach's book 3 weeks ago, and am only about 80 pages in so far. On the 18th, I was deliberately silent due to it being Dad's death anniversary, but she reached out that evening to cancel our 3rd date yet again for military drill. This time, I followed Coach.
Me: That's unfortunate, but I understand. When are you free to get together again? Her: It will be Monday or Tues Me: Great. Let's plan on Monday, your place at 1700. I'll cook.
She agreed. On Monday's and Tuesday's without the kids, she prefers to just relax at home, and reserve weekends for going out. Can't fault her for that. I did not contact her for the next 3 days until our date that Monday, the 22nd.

This was perhaps the best date of the 3. The nerves are gone, though I'm still not sure if I am all in my head or not. She keeps me waiting at the lobby door for a full half hour, to my annoyance. I had a cooler of food there to cook for her, which she enjoyed. But like all of our dates thus far, we haven't had a chance to talk much at all, other than telling me how her week has been and such. Haven't been able to delve into deeper convos in person regarding anything. The opportunity has not been there, as she wants to snuggle up to me on the couch and watch movies. Which I am down with, but what does that mean? After a few minutes, I tell her to come here ... she excitedly hugs me, and again we make out. I announce I am already down 12 pounds since our previous date, and she's supportive. We eat, she puts on a movie, we snuggle on the couch. I have to be at work at 11, but she kicks me out at 8 because she's still in the middle of drill and needs to be up at 4 am. She gathers my belongings and we make out in her entry way more passionately than ever. She volunteers to walk me down to the lobby. Before I leave, she tells me to kiss her, she grabs me by the coat, and we make out again.
This was 2 weeks ago. I have not see her since. I texted her next two days later with good convo, and the day after that - the first of a 4 day weekend for her for Memorial Day.
I then didn't reach out for two more days. I go to a movie with a friend last Saturday, and vent to him about all of this. For me to tell a friend I am having girl issues is a huge thing for me ... he was shocked, as I was always the one to make it perfectly clear that I would never date. I've been adamant my whole life that it's not something I want, as resistance against my parents ... and this woman just enters my life out of nowhere. So my friend and I get to joking and doing impressions of Jesse Ventura when lo and behold, she reaches out: I am a gifted impressionist and she asks me for requests of voices to do for her friends, who she has neglected in recent weeks. Good sign that she still has interest if she's discussing me with her friends? She texts me a pic of her hanging with these friends, and in the moment, I feel like a king and calm again. I tell her I want to take her out the following Saturday (tonight) which she ignores by asking me why I didn't send her a pic as well. Which I do. I tell her I'm heading to bed and will call her the next day.
This past Sunday, I call. No answer.
On Monday evening, I send her a GIF for Memorial Day and thank her for her service, which she appreciates. I took the opportunity:
" I miss you and stuff. Kinda, sorta. ;) I can hardly wait to see your face and that cute little ass again, Are you free on Saturday? Pick you up at 1700?
CRINGE. Too much?
She declines:
"I dunno if that works. I'm offering on a home I saw today. Gotta write a letter whole deal. I'm just focused on that and seeing it through so I don't want to commit to things while I'm going through this process."
WTF.
Me: CONGRATS!!! Fingers crossed, hope you get it. I understand. Get back to me when you get everything straightened out and we'll plan something special then. Or just whenever you miss me, ;)
MORE CRINGE. Weak. Too much? She did not respond to that.
Two days pass. This past Thursday morning, i got weak:
"Morning Hun! Hope all is going well with the offer on the house. Trust in God; He will ALWAYS get you where you need to be. I'm proud of you."
3 hours later, she heart reacted that, and thanked me.
I have not reached out in three days. She has not either.
I don't know where I stand, largely because of those make-out sessions. I don't know if I've even really fucked up at any point, though I'm obviously not following Coach as I'm just now reading.
Do I wait a full 7 days before reaching out again if she doesn't? I do have incredible news that I would be moving about 15 to 20 minutes away from her if I do get approved for that apartment that should pique her interest. Or do I not reach out at all and put it all on her?
Have I already lost her? Beyond hope? Does the book address anything like what I am experiencing in later chapters?

Like, one of the appeals about Star Wars, outside of just its existence as a space opera war series that cribbed elements from Joseph Campbell's Hero With a Thousand Faces, was its frequent juxtaposition between its science-fiction and fantasy elements. You know? Like if Buck Rogers or Flash Gordon married The Lord of the Rings trilogy or Chronicles of Narnia series, and Star Wars was their resulting baby.
Like, you have an entire space opera universe full of so much advanced technology, from ships like the Millennium Falcon and Star Destroyer, to medical and engineering equipment, to droids like C3-PO and R2-D2, all the way up to blasters like pistols and rifles. But then comes the midi-chlorians force, combined with a melee weapon like a lightsaber. And you'd think that with blasters and technology, they both would have rendered lightsabers and the force obsolete, respectively. Until you see Darth Vader force choke one of his own officers for doubting the force and unfairly comparing it side-by-side with the Death Star, a piece of hardware that, to Darth Vader, was never going to replace the force. As well as watch Luke Skywalker take up Obi-Wan Kenobi's posthumous advice, and shut off his targeting computer just to use his force powers to drop proton torpedoes into the Death Star's air duct, blowing the thing sky high in order to save Dantooine from it.
And now, you can see the perfect juxtaposition between the Jedi and Sith and their frequent uses of lightsabers and the force, and nearly the rest of Star Wars' universe whenever it uses guns and technology as an alternative to lightsabers and the force, respectively. And that's among the numerous reasons why I enjoy science-fiction and fantasy, and comparing fantasy's frequent use of swords and magic with sci-fi's frequent use of guns and technology, like with Star Wars, as one example.
Thoughts?

So last night I had the luck of getting the cape from a HC reclear and was very excited, however when I went to test it in some LFR kills, the uptime and timings of the buff were very underwhelming.
From what I've seen, it only activates once or twice tops in a 4-minute fight, and until now I haven't had it proc during a cd window (I play havoc DH, btw), so it wasn't really that big of a dps increase when that happened. I have no troubles with survivability, so the stamina loss isn't an issue - I just feel it to be a bit too weak for a Very Rare drop of the final boss this season.
Our class discord recommends it as BIS for ST builds, however I'd like to know the opinion of people who've had this for longer than me: is it worth the stamina trade-off for the random 1 or 2 oddly-timed procs during a fight? Are my expectations of its passive a bit too high? Are there any plans of buffing/changing it that I might not have heard about yet?

Hi all, first post here.
TLDR is at the bottom. This is gonna be a long one, folks
I'm currently a college student whose around a year and a half away from getting my bachelor's. I've been working part-time at a hospitality place in a nearby town. I live in a very rural area, so it's a half hour drive there and back. With gas prices here being high, the pay there only being a few dollars above minimum wage, and that I need clerical/office experience for my future career, I decided to apply for a different job.
Lucky for me, I ended up getting it. There are a few drawbacks compared to my current, but the benefits outweigh it. I can work remotely, so I don't need to travel, the pay is double that of minimum wage here, and I get paid time off after a certain amount of time there. I let my boss know, so he can change my schedule, who then lets my manager know. The next week, I also let him know the schedule I have, what times I can work, and what times I'd want to work.
Of course, come to find out the times I gave him were not the ones I actually ended up with. I updated him as soon as I found out, and apologized profusely for what had happened.
My manager is... well, not unhappy, but not exactly happy. When I told him about it, he seemed disappointed. Said he wanted to work with me. That was pleasant enough, but since, it seems like he, and another coworker who works there full-time, have become a bit more passive-aggressive. Not outright rude or hostile, mind you, but... different.
I ended up attending my training for my new job in the morning, and working at my old one at night for my usual shifts the first week I had it. The second week, I asked to be off during the week- for context, I only work one weekday, with the majority of my shifts being doubles on the weekend. Lucky me, a flu starts going through my house around the same time as I start my first shift, so I decide to call out of my shift that Friday. I know I'm contagious, and figured I could use an extra day to recover before my shift that Saturday.
Skip forward to Saturday night, and I'm still feeling pretty miserable, but not sneezing or coughing, so I feel okay to work. I head in, and my manager and coworker, who are the only other two there, and keeping their distance. I'm not a talkative person, or particularly sociable when I don't need to be, so it was okay for me.
Five hours later, and it's the end of the shift. My manager has finished balancing the books, and we're basically ready to leave. My coworker and I are together. We go over what we had left to close, and when we see everything is done, my manager starts talking to me about why I took that new job.
I plainly reply, "I needed it for my resume."
"Yeah, but why did you take that job when you had a commitment here?"
Me, feeling like I was running a fever and with my head pounding, didn't respond. He just stared at me for a few moments, before adding a "just wondering."
His tone was pretty passive-aggressive, in the sense that I could tell he was annoyed with me, when he tried not to show it. I didn't know how to explain to him at the time that I thought my hours would be different- again, still sick.
Keep in mind, all this is happening with my coworker right beside us. My manager mentions something about how messed up the schedule got because of what happened with me, and my coworker adds "Yeah, we always get fucked over."
Now, I don't know if he meant it like that, but I took it as him implying I was fucking them over. I didn't want to escalate it any further, so I decided to step back and drop the conversation. After that, we said our goodbyes and left for the night.
So, I ask, am I in the wrong in this situation? Is there even a wrong party here? I understand where they're coming from- I can understand the stress our job puts on them, even when we have a reliable schedule. But, at the same time, it feels out of line to say that I'm fucking them over by trying to better myself. What do you think? I'm open to any opinion on my situation. If I'm in the wrong, I want to know how to correct my ways. If I'm in the right, I'd want to know how to proceed. If there's no party in the wrong, what should the next course of action be? Thanks.
TLDR: Got a new job for my resume, was given an incorrect schedule which I thought would allow me to work at my old one like normal. My corrected schedule conflicted with my old job, manager and coworker were not happy. Am I in the wrong?

We also host regular giveaways where members can earn rare stickers, allowing them to complete albums and earn rewards in-game. During our community events, we host several giveaways and give a way a massive number of 'links' - last time, we gave away more than 30 of them!
Other than game-related activities, we also boast a huge community (currently 4,500). We are proud to have a community that come together to support each other. There are also regular discussions that do not relate to the game; we are planning to create more channels, where people can discuss topics such as other games, as well as other off-topic subjects. This is something currently in high-demand.
Recently, we also created a mental health support channel for all of our members, which came shortly after partnering with a mental health support Discord server. This allows members to seek support, or simply rant if they are struggling. It has been a success and we are proud to have a dedicated and active mental health support team.

A group of writers and poets appealed to President Ilham Aliyev regarding Alizamin Salayev, a member of the opposition party who has been on a hunger strike for more than 114 days protesting against his illegal arrest. Azadlig newspaper shared the letter: “As a result of the hunger strike, he fell into a coma several times. Yesterday, doctors warned him that he would die if he did not stop his hunger. Salayev was arrested on charges of hooliganism, and the Garadagh court sentenced him to four years in prison. He considers his arrest and the decision unfair, saying that all the evidence proves his innocence. Therefore, he declares that he will not stop his hunger, even if it may end his life. We believe that you would not give consent to the death of an activist of the opposition party of the country as a result of a hunger strike. We, the undersigned writers, ask that you order his house arrest and reconsideration of his case.”
Alzamin Salayev stopped his hunger on the 115th day. Salayev was promised that his case would be considered objectively in the Court of Appeal. Salayev told his lawyer that if justice was not served this time, then he would choose death by dry hunger.
Chairperson of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Jamil Hasanli said that he had attended the trial of political prisoner Abbas Huseyn, one of the leaders of the Muslim Union Movement. Hasanli: Judge Ilgar Murguzov did not conduct such an investigation when he said there was a judicial investigation. He simply upheld the unlawful verdict of the district court. Abbas was chained to an iron pole in the courtyard of the penitentiary institution when the degree was above 42 Celcius. In January 2023, the European Court of Human Rights confirmed that Abbas Huseyn was tortured in prison and ordered the government to pay compensation. However, the government has not paid anything yet. Abbas is a very honest, patriotic, and faithful young man. His main “sin” is protesting against injustice. Hundreds of patriotic young people like him are subjected to cruel torture in Aliyev‘s prisons on false charges.”

Azadlig newspaper reports that US President Biden sent a letter to president Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition in Baku. According to the letter, The United States will stand with Azerbaijan as it undertakes reforms that will promote the rule of law and advance opportunities for the Azerbaijani people. In addition, Biden also mentions that his administration will continue to support a sustainable and just peace in the region –which will help promote security and prosperity across the South Caucasus for generations to come.
Radio Liberty reports that there are concerns and dissatisfaction among the leaders of the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) called “Lachin Yolu Eco Activists.” Tahira Mammadova, one of the activists, expressed disappointment that a promised 15,000 manats were not allocated for her project. Instead, only 6,000 manats were given for a documentary film about the Shusha martyr, which Mammadova considered to be an insult. Rade Abbas, the head of the “Social Assistance to Women Veterans” organization, also shared her dissatisfaction. She mentioned that her organization had meticulously calculated and proposed a project worth 15,000 manats. However, they were only provided with 7,000 manats for their annual activities, along with demanding a high level of work. Rade Abbas believes that this amount is inadequate and insufficient, as it wouldn’t even cover her taxi expenses.
The Lachin Corridor, which is an important land route connecting the Nagorno-Karabakh region to Armenia, has been inaccessible to civilian and commercial traffic for over four months as reportedly Azerbaijani protesters, purportedly supported by the government, have blockaded the corridor. According to the local Armenians, the blockading of the Lachin Corridor had severe consequences for the people living in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, as it cut off their connection to Armenia and the outside world and it disrupted the flow of essential goods, humanitarian aid, and other supplies. The alleged involvement of Azerbaijani protesters, who were the NGO representatives claiming that the Armenian side damaged the environment, suggested that it was a deliberate action to exert pressure on the region.

The Minister of Digital Development and Transport delivered an interview addressing the challenges within the taxi service industry. The interview focused on the concerns about the financial well-being of taxi drivers and gave signals of future reform. However, the minister’s interview brings forth concerns regarding possible increases in the prices of taxi services. Experts believe that given past experiences of consolidating sectors of the economy under the ruling family’s monopoly in the guise of reforms, the cost of taxi services will be increased.

Despite having ratified several international conventions to safeguard children’s rights, approximately 2.5 million Azerbaijani infants are denied child benefits. Chairperson of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Jamil Hasanli commented on the occasion, saying that, unlike neighboring countries like Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, and other Central Asian republics Azerbaijani government refuse to pay child benefit. Hasanli: In 2006, Ilham Aliyev decided to cut off the social benefits for children who received child support even during the country’s most challenging times. They cited a decline in poverty levels to 5 percent as a justification for the cancellation of child benefits. Child benefit is provided in Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, and other Central Asian republics bordering Azerbaijan. In this region, Azerbaijan is like an island that does not pay child benefits. Tragically, the consequences of this decision manifest in approximately 100,000 children missing out on education due to inadequate nutrition and the inability to afford proper clothing. Moreover, in numerous regions of the country, girls are being excluded from schools. Ironically, while the government neglects the needs of Azerbaijani children, Ilham Aliyev and his government members amass wealth for their own children, investing in properties worth millions of dollars across European capitals and Dubai.”
The Ministry of Finance made a statement regarding the changes to the 2023 state budget. According to the statement, the revenues of the 2023 state budget will be increased by 3 billion 5 million manats to 33 billion 779 million manats. Budget expenses are predicted to be 36 billion 568 million manats, which is 3 billion 215 million manats more than the approved indicator. A large part of the increase of 3 billion 215 million manats, namely 2 billion 260 million manats or more than 70 percent, will be directed to the construction, restoration, and reconstruction works carried out opaquely in the liberated territories. The rest of the increase will be divided between the costs of strengthening the country’s defense and economy.
Chairperson of the Azerbaijan Democracy and Welfare Party (ADWP) Gubad Ibadoghlu said that the new amendments to the state budget once again prove that the government has no intention to increase wages. Ibadoghlu: The wages, pensions, social benefits, and support for war veterans and martyr families have yet to see an allocation increase. Unfortunately, this lack of attention to vital areas coincides with rising prices, burdening the population, particularly those in the low-income bracket, with the costs of inflation. The recent proposal sent to parliament by the government regarding changes to the 2023 state budget further reaffirms that enhancing the people’s welfare is not the primary focus of the Aliyev regime. Since having my first baby (I'm 34F) and maybe her last grandchild (she now has 11) my mom has been visiting every week. She will text me out of the blue and give me minimal notice that she's dropping in. One time I was surprised to see her in our driveway as I was charging my phone.
This past Monday I told her the times she wanted to stop by didn't work for me (she will offer a couple times based around when she is in town such as for a massage appointment). She asked if she could still drop off a care package and I said yes. I felt guilty when I heard her drop off a care package of food. It turned out it could have worked (it was really hard to predict) but I was feeling run down that day anyway so I'm glad I said no.
When I said it didn't work I offered two different times later that week for her to stop by (it's a start for me to decline her coming over). She never responded to those offers until last minute on the day of. I get a text and realize almost too late that she wants to come by right then. I said sure but I felt upset that I didn't get any notice. She stopped by for about 10 minutes to see the baby then left.
I feel worried about getting texts from her. I feel upset or anxious whenever I see her name on my phone. In the past she makes me feel bad for saying it's not going to work and I don't know why/how. I feel so mean to want a week to myself when some families don't have a mom or have a loving mom. I'm obviously lacking in boundary setting and assertiveness. Can anyone help me?

Juri Is basically Haruko
Ok so this is going to be a fun story to tell. So it all pretty much started with me playing on the open beta for Street fighter 6 that happened recently and I've been playing around with juri and I've been enjoying her so much and I just been liking her as a whole from here gameplay,her badass design, and especially juri's Personality a freaking like how so chill she is and the vibe shes giving off, plus it maybe kinda stretching it but I like how her aesthetic reminds so much of the Early 2000s with (Goth,Grunge,punk rock,Adult swim,Hot topic) since she did at one point did had a Punk Rock student outfit from Sf5 and I'm a huge fan of that aesthetic or maybe that's a sign I'm just getting old ha ha😅. But then at on point when I was enjoying the many things about her I had a thought, "this Chick is basically Haruko from flcl isn't she?". I know that sounds wired but hear me out both juri and do have pretty similar traits with on another. From Personality from having this chill behavior, aesthetic, heck just like juri haruko kinda had moments where she was kinda unhinged from the show, plus they both seem like there anti heroes or been a Antagonist at some points,heck both juri and haruko ride motorcycle like vehicles for crying out loud and this all a crazy thought for me since I love flcl it's one of my favorite anime and if your curious(Bleach #1,Panty and Stocking #2,Flcl #3) plus I love harukoto death as she is one my favorite anime female characters who I may or may not had a crush back from my childhood(and yes she was). So naturally I was a bit scared when putting the similarities of juri and haruko together happy yet scared of know this type of stuff for one this character is just seeing to be fit for me and two I will scared or who I would either main juri and Cammy abs shes been my Girl since the alpha days and already made the decision of making Ken my secondary. So then I came to a conclusion "if juri English va is the same one who voice haruko from flcl then imma just main juri" since Juris va sound very similar to harukos English va plus juris voice dose sound like something from flcl. So then I search to see if would ture or not and I was kinda praying to be honest since I'm just so wanting to Main her at this and it then it was seem to give up but then I was found out it that the English va for juri Jessica Straus is also the same person who voices Junko Miyaji from flcl who is the teacher from the show no seriously looked it up. And that point my jaw just dropped, bro I was so flabbergasted and stunned from knowing this info but yet I was fan Girl screaming and laughing saying "of course no wonder why Juris va sound something from flcl" but was like so perplexed of my saying "what the heck even is this wizardry like bs is this". And with know that info made my instant main juri for the full game. But what you guys think are your just surprised as me or what.

Inside this house is a gaming heaven, a fully upgraded computer and universal gaming console that is updated every day with the latest and best gaming hardware/software. Every game made is on these machines in a virtual library that caters to your subconscious, always showing you games you would definitely enjoy. Once every three months the computer will create a game you are sure to love, the catch being that you can't make any money off of it.

[Life Like a Game]: You gain a video game HUD (head's up display). This HUD shows you three things, your status, your skills, and your current quests. Stats are Level, Health, Mana, Stamina, Strength, Vitality, Endurance, Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, and Luck. The skills menu shows any skills you have acquired, their function, and your level in them. The quests menu shows you your current quests which the HUD gives out depending on the context of your environment and level with multiple possible rewards. You start at Level 1 in each stat and gain 5 stat points upon leveling up, otherwise the only way to get stat points is to train that specific stat (i.e., working out would level up Strength and Vitality). Functions akin to a typical RPG system.

[Glitch Finder]: You can find glitches. Real world physics is perfect and objectively sound for everyone except you. If you look hard enough and experiment you can find numerous video game-esque glitches in the real world. Putting money in and out of a safe really fast might duplicate it, walking sideways into the corner of a door might let you noclip through it, etc. It's up to your creativity and ingenuity to really take advantage of this perk. If it can be done in a video game, it might be able to be done in real life. Be careful not to noclip to the center of the Earth.

[Nostalgic Nights]: When playing a game you played as a child with fond memories of, you can go back in time to that point of your child self playing the video game. The age must be between 5-12yrs old. You can only go back in time once every year starting on the day you first go back in time. You do not get the opportunity to pick out of 6 perks again, the other perk you pick along with this one is permanent irregardless of time or space manipulation. After you go back in time four different times playing video games, you no longer need to play a video game to go back in time and the age restriction is released but the 1 year cooldown remains.

Group all has Wednesday early arrival. One of the people cannot arrive until after her shift on Thursday, will be able to arrive ~2pm.
Current plan is for boyfriend to set up on Wednesday, leave the campgrounds to pick her up and then come back to the spot so we can all camp together.
I am doubtful this will work. I have left and came back on saturdays before, but Thursday around that time I feel like people are still going to be coming in at a constant rate and with the new updated “no re-entry” policy that they may or may not be enforcing, I have low hopes.
We are from Grand Rapids so leaving and coming back has never been a big deal. I feel like I should tell her to get someone to drop her off. wondering what ppl think??
