Let’s say two people get married in grad school, then graduate and still live in the same tiny low-rent apartment ($1200 / month) but want to buy a house and have kids asap. They have good careers, earning $140k CA combined, with expected increases annually. They also have a ton of combined debt - $100k in student loans and $11k on a line of credit. Currently they’re sitting on about $4k in cash as a safety net. What’s the next move? Pay down the line of credit asap or accept the ~12% interest and try to save up for a down payment on a home? Asking for a friend.

So a bit of a complicated one which I probably shouldn't have held off to last second, but I'll appreciate any help I can get.
I'm a grad student in PA who worked as an intern remotely for a smaller company in CA last summer. I was paid by check, without any taxes deducted. Recently, I received a 1099NEC from my employer.
My question is, do I need to file taxes in CA as well as PA? I worked remotely from PA for the duration of the work, so usually I wouldn't. However I see that there is a CA court decision which allows CA to tax out of state remote workers classed as contractors, which I guess I technically was despite being an intern. I had no other related income during this period.
All the info online is very contradictory, and I haven't been able to get a hold of a tax professional, so I'd appreciate any help!

Now obviously we didn't have sex with her at the same time, it was all separate occasions - but still, we all had our way with her.

She said she's past all that stuff & wants something serious and special in her life: that being Robert. She wanted to move on with Robert, have a family with him and get married. She was insanely in love with him. She wanted something "real" and I guess Robert gave that to her.
That's exactly what they are now, they're married and still crazy for each other. She's a teacher, he own a restaurant & they have twin daughters. I don't care if I sound bad, but I'm embarrassed for Robert. His wife used to be a slut, now she's acting like nothing happened. We all did things with her, it's annoying she's acting like we didn't. She has that "I'm a wife & mother now" type of attitude, she's supposedly "matured". They're always going on vacations/traveling with their kids and I just cringe at the photos.
So yes, I'm embarrassed for Robert. There's definitely people out there that are also embarrassed for him, because they know how slutty sally was. But whatever, if he's happy & she's happy, then I guess that's fine. He's enjoying sloppy seconds & a girl that's used up completely.
I already know there's gonna be comments saying, "but women can enjoy sex too!" And "it's none of your business who she has sex with". That's true, but you're all hilarious for wanting to say that. It's just reddit defending women like always.

Title. I (M21) am a college senior with one semester left in the fall, and I’d like to work this summer while I learn to drive. Everyone around me seems to pick up summer jobs easily except for me, and there are a few factors I can think of holding me back. Bad food allergies rule out any restaurant or food service work, and I’m limited to wherever I can bike or take the bus for now.
Still, I’ve applied to a few places on their websites last year and just didn’t hear back, and spent the summer doing nothing and feeling awful as a result. You should stop caring about player CA and PA and focus on their development for young players (regardless of PA) and their performances for senior players(regardless of their CA).

I have a gig coming up in two weeks and its been making anxious thinking about it and im worried about my ear health.
Basically I am a freelance artist and I am hired for one night every month to record music events. This is usually a very important gig as ive been doing this for a year now. However I am terrified of the speakers at the venue because they are HUGE I personally think theyre too loud and big for a closed space. My T recently went up and I assumed it was due to being at a loud restaurant where the people next to me screamed and it made my T worse the next day (dont know if thats the exact reason but im assuming).
I dont often go out of my way to be at venues but its only once a month. Typically I wear foam earplugs and I think they do a decent job but im at the job for about 6 hours so that is worrisome to me. I dont know how people do it like seriously I see people who play music for a living with no protection. I might get myself musician earplugs but I dont know how good those are compared to regular foam ones and I wouldnt be able to get my hands on some for maybe another month. I dont mind the muffled sound from foam at all whatever protects my ears more the better I just dont want my T to get worse.
Also wondering if just wearing foam earplugs should keep me safe the whole time? I feel stuck and unsure what to do, obviously the smart thing would be to not go altogether but this is my profession im really sad to be in this situation in the first place.
