2023.03.21 12:42 TomChesterson Dennis Brown in Season 6

OK I am watching season 6 and I don't know where else to post something about this but I am so intensely bothered by Dennis Brown that I need to post something somewhere so here I am. This guy is the Biggest piece of shit I've ever seen on this show. I'm not sure what other people think about him or if I'm just Too sensitive or something but I honestly just cannot believe how fucking disrespectful and arrogant this man is. He talks shit on Alex more than anyone else and it's just ridiculous that he feels the need to talk shit on the one other guy who's not a criminal and just constantly talk himself up as if hes something special.
He legitimately believes that his own shit don't stank. After reading a little bit about him I find out that he is an "actor" And it's just like the chief said hes honestly trying to make his way to Hollywood through 60 Days In. No interest in trying to help the facility and all he cares about is trying to get his 15 seconds of fame.
Sorry I'm just on episode 7 and as I have continued to watch I just have found myself more and more frustrated and disgusted by this man. Am I the only one or do other people feel the same way?

2023.03.21 12:39 Brat_spit Scheduling issue

I think my TL and ETL are trying to get me to quit. Ive only been here since November(seasonal turned regular). Since I’ve started ive had a 4:30am to 1:30pm availability. Before Feb i was a floater for Dec home, bedding, bath, and kitchen. With that being said i dont really know how to do anything except the basic things on the myDevice in order to push freight. At the beginning of February is when they told me id become a regular and soon after that i got my own area which is HIPA. Up until a couple weeks ago i had no problems with my availability until we got a new team lead. She had a sit down meeting with all of us discussing our availabilities and schedules. In which they(My new TL and ETL) decided they didnt like my availability or the fact that i got another job to cope with the fact that they cut hours severely after the holidays since then i have only been getting scheduled 9am-1:30pm and during these time i am NOT in my area. Other times my schedule is messed up so bad to the point i have to call up there to get what time im coming in. I dont know how to tie item locations, set endcaps, etc and i feel like i have learned NOTHING since ive started here. Yes,i have voiced my concerns bc my ETL keeps asking me how am i doing in my area and i tell him the same thing. I am MORE than comfortable pushing freight. I would like more training on the detailed stuff and everyone acts like they cant be bothered to teach me…sooo what im not understanding is why im being given my own area? I dont dislike my job its just the people that make it insufferable. I shouldnt be this stressed out after only being at target <6months.

2023.03.21 12:36 SpaceFlier100 Does anyone know how to get rid of these jagged edges from Gaea?

Does anyone know how to get rid of these jagged edges from Gaea?
I've created a map from Gaea and imported it into UE5. However, due to the size of the map, I get these jagged edges.

https://preview.redd.it/4n4hx8kvu2pa1.png?width=3834&format=png&auto=webp&s=d738e9345556ab5adf56e703b5154f967256067c
Is there an easy way to remove them? using the landscape smooth tool and setting the brush size to max (by manually typing in a bigger number you do reach a limit) it is still tiny compared to my map and my pc just dies. These were my import settings:
https://preview.redd.it/a1pvmrkjv2pa1.png?width=715&format=png&auto=webp&s=3a206b95b4376917156554955cff11fdf16f30bf
If I made sections per component 2x2 then my laptop would just freeze importing and crash (6800H, 16 GB RAM, 3060. If it would make a big difference I do have a PC: 5950x, 32 GB RAM, 3080. I just work on my game when I have time which is normally lunch at school so that's why it's on my laptop)
My theory for the solution (It's probably wrong) Is if there is some sort of antialiasing that UE can do to the height map and make the points curved instead of straight it could make it look smoother.
Any help would be appreciated!

2023.03.21 12:33 PutridBite Last of the Defenders - Ch 27

Welcome new readers. Please start with chapter one https://www.reddit.com/HFY/comments/11ai7iv/last_of_the_defenders_ch_01/
Previously https://www.reddit.com/HFY/comments/11x94mq/last_of_the_defenders_ch_26/
It took hours. Allah realized the sun was walking away when they finally stepped out of the great quorum hall. Ada’key’hamda and Allah’hem’nrah walked to either side of Li, a group of elders and tradesmen flocking behind. They carried charcoal and papers, hastily drawn maps and long scrolls of lists--names of the future displaced, materials to be salvaged, and more workers than she could count--as they jostled to be heard over each other.
Allah glanced over her shoulder as the wide double doors began to close, ears twitching frustratingly at Marn’charlie’weh who stood on the dais still, amber eyes glowing with barely contained fury. She had been the most vocal of the group surrounding her now, the Detractors Allah called them in her mind. Most of their arguments had been weighed and addressed--even bringing forth solutions to unforeseen problems as the idea of extending the roads had progressed from Li’s ultimatum into cooperative planning.
Both sides had compromised. The southern Smithhall and much more of the buildings between the outpost and the outer wall would be torn down. The proposed road to the north would be almost doubled in width too, to accommodate the increase in traffic. More importantly, to Allah’s way of thinking, were the inclusion of U’knock work crews into Li’s plan. Her people would oversee the construction of the roads and tearing down the city’s outer wall to make rapidly usable materials.
It had been that last point that nearly set Allah’hem’nrah and Marn’charlie’weh to blows. This had only been the second quorum she had been honored to sit in, neither of them as a member, but the vociferousness and vitriol that passed from mouth to ear had startled her.
“You claim a need to protect our people!” Allah could still remember Marn’charlie’weh shout. It had woken her from her dozing. “And with the other paw you rip down the very walls that shelter us! Holes in the inner ring? Dismantling the outer? Will you take all of our warrior caste with you to fight the bullies too? If they are bullies!”
Li had risen from the floor to confront the black elder, Marn’charlie’weh almost twice the height of the human even then, but a spotted paw thrust between them and Allah’hem’nrah walked to block her.
“I will not be shamed,” she roared, the only time the stalwart pride mother raised her voice, “by this council as to cower and hide while a cub fights for our lives!”
She had pointed to Allah who, at the time, was shamelessly curled up on a cushion. The cub, roused from her dozing, sat up, licked a forepaw and made a show of grooming her fur. It was not Allah’s fault she had fallen asleep; they would not stop talking! On and on they went, arguing over the most minute details only to circle back on a once settled matter and point out how doing one thing would somehow upset two others. Even when it did not. Especially when it did not!
“The warriors will fight in this war!” and the proclamation from Allah’hem’nrah had elicited a scattered cheer from half the quorum.
Li had spent much of the quorum kneeling on a Nameday cushion--anything larger than the small pad used to carry kits to the quorum when they opened their eyes would have swallowed her--sipping water from a clay cup and only put in suggestions when directly asked. Which became less and less frequent as the day dragged on toward night. Allah only realized how long they had been there when Jung reminded her to take her pill!
“I think,” Li had said, rising from her cushion and stretching, “we’ve settled what we can in one day.” Allah rose to follow, eager to be away from these screaming, argumentative adults. “If you have something of substance to add, I’ll be outside the south gate at sunrise,” and the last of her words had a hint of warning, “about an hour before the first tank is scheduled to roll out.”
With that, Li rose, bowed to the throne dais, and strode purposely from the great hall.
And now they walked, not as unwelcomed outlanders who should be chased off, but as people of importance whose presence was harkened by quorum members begging attention.
Or, at the least, Li did. Allah found herself carefully shuffled further and further away from her friend, carefully avoiding elders who jostled past her and ever more dangerously close to the taser belt’s kiss. They did not seem to care, even knowing what the belt could do after Li explained its workings and Guard Captain Fen’ja--belatedly arrived, washed and no longer twitching--had confirmed.
Perhaps, Allah considered, another demonstration was in order. Let one brush up against her? And through a wall? She set such petty thoughts aside. These people were preparing as if for a great storm coming to the land. Shoring up the city for a blizzard named Li.
And the bully horde that followed.
Allah contented herself with being persistently pushed back. If she could contribute, she would try. What she was asked, she would answer. And she would not fault Li. Her friend had been as good as her word and as they stepped outside the cub saw a scribe carrying a stack of posters in her paws, could hear a crier chant “Fey’arna of Hada’neha is requested and required to make his presence known to the nearest city guard. A reward is offered for his safe return.” Surely her father would be found soon, news of him at the least and Allah would go to him.
But for now, Allah had made a promise to Li. She would stand beside her friend…if these quorum members ever got out of the way…
Allah busied her eyes and ears in learning this new place. The smell was only U’knock, a packed down scent of many bodies forced together. It reminded her of the mob. Even as the sun was setting behind the tall buildings the street was alive. Tradeswomen and males carried their goods, families shopped at stalls and cubs ran in play or just from the joy of slipping a father’s leash for a time. The buildings were all taller than any hut, packed into squares and high roofed rectangles. Only the doors and the largest structures were domed. Even the glass in the new windows had straight, with sharp unnatural edges.
That was the word Umati’clam conjured to her: unnatural. Even with so many--because there were so many--of her people packed within, Allah felt more and more like a stranger in these confines. How long had she dreamed of walking the fabled city streets? Now she would give up her tail to curl up on her cushion in front of the fireplace, claw the rough burlap and kneed the straw inside to lay her head down and rest. To be home and safe again.
With her fa.
She was not expecting guards when they reached the wall. Four of the metal humans stepped outside the bubble as it popped, speaking in Demeter’s voice.
“Stand away from the entrance,” they said as one, raising black bowless Com’cha with those deadly tubes in their place. “This is your only warning.”
“I’ll do what I can,” Li said by way of apology as the throng of quorum members receded slowly from the opening wall, “but our timetable is going to be tight. Remember Allah’hem’nrah,” she continued, motioning Allah to step forward, “I want at least two level headed warriors per village. These people are not beggars or simply displaced. And they may be vital to rebuilding your home.”
“I do not see how,” the spotted warrior stepped back as Allah stepped closer, “but we will do as you command, Defender.”
“Uh uh,” Li admonished, wagging a finger at the massive U’knock.
“Li,” Allah’hem’nrah corrected, her lips tightening.
Li gestured to Allah again and the two stepped through.
“Could not your ambassador,” Ada’key’hamda called but did not step past the robot guards, gray fur bristling as the first night wind chilled her, “stay with us longer, Friend Li? We still have questions she might be uniquely capable of answering.”
Li and Allah both turned back, the human grinning with a light bow. “That holds true for me too,” the human said softly. “Unfortunately, Allah’s duties at the moment will be keeping her close to me. Any questions can be relayed through these droids,” she gestured to the armed machines. “They can relay any pertinent queries to Jung or myself through Demeter.”
The wall began to seal itself and Allah’hem’nrah raised one paw in the air, waving it back and forth. “Gud B’eye!” the spotted warrior called.
“Bài bài,” Li wiggled her fingers and the massive U’knock chuffed. As the hole in the wall sealed, the sounds of the city silenced. Allah looked up to see the bubble shimmer in place.
Li slumped her shoulders, stretched and yawned. “Now that’s over with,” she said tiredly, “you want something to eat?”
“I am honored to share your table again,” Allah nodded a bow of thanks as Li turned toward the spire, “but what ‘other’ duties do I have?”
“Mostly?” Li winked as she glanced over her shoulder, “Staying clear of Ada’key’hamda. And Marn’charlie’weh, for that matter.” The human frowned at the blank expression on Allah’s face. “Don’t get me wrong, I like that old gray ‘māo’,” Jung translated the word as a subspecies of Earth native animals with an image that explained much of Li’s previous jibes, “but I don’t trust her any further than I can throw her. Or Allah’hem’nrah if it comes to it. Not fully.”
“Why not?” Allah turned back to the closed wall gate. The pair had quickly become the most vocal supporters of Li’s side during the quorum. “They seemed to trust you.”
“Allah’hem’nrah does,” Li confessed, “or at least she believes me a ‘defender’ and understands the threat the swarmers pose. Sounds like she was breastfed war stories as a kit,” Li scratched her head, combing her hair with her fingers, “but she’s gonna do what she thinks is best for her people. And that might not be what's best for the U’knock. Or winning this war.”
Allah considered this. She wanted to say an honored elder would not be so dishonest but…Ana’nut’hana’s betrayal of her father…their exile reminded the cub that no matter how unified the U’knock love of Defenders and hate for bullies was supposed to be, a shallow cup could not hold deep water. If her own mayor could do such to her and Fey’arna then what were strangers capable of?
“And Ada’key’hamda?” she asked with interest. They had passed the landing pad and rapidly closed on the doors to the spire.
“That woman?” Li grinned lopsidedly as the double doors whooshed open, “is what my people call a ‘kingmaker’,” she waved away Allah’s questions, “it means she is a pure blood politician; shrewd and devious. She only sided with us because she knew where the winds were blowing.”
“I hope,” Allah confided, stepping into the noisy chaos of the garage, “that you are wrong.” Her voice rose to a shout above the hissing, clanging commotion.
“I hope I’m not!” Li answered as they hurried past the noisy room and into the hallway. Once the noise of work had died to a dull den she explained. “We’re going to need somebody that conniving on our side to keep Marn’charlie’weh in check. Um…at bay.”
“Jung explained chess,” Allah answered the unspoken question. “And go.”
“Gooood!” Li’s smile must have been more predatory than intended, Allah assumed, as the human showed her teeth. “I’ve got a board in my quarters aboard the Stardancer. Fancy a game when he gets back?”
“I would rather know,” Allah nodded at the offer, “why you need two warriors to travel to the villages.”
“Ah,” Li turned at a crossroads in the hallway, then looked up “Demeter, where’s the nearest mess hall?”
The pleasant voice had returned as a blue beam illuminated. “Please follow the indicated footpath!” Li quickly strode onward.
“Is there any food available for carbon based consumption?”
There was no response as Li and Allah followed the glowing blue line. “Demeter, is there any food available for carbon based consumption?”
“Stores are restocked from the garden every fifty years, cooked and freeze dried for long term access! We have a selection of prepackaged meals ready to eat! Just add hot water and--”
“Demeter,” Allah interrupted as they entered a large room filled with long beaches and tables, “Please be quiet.” Then, to Li she said “You are avoiding my question.”
“I wasn’t avoiding,” Li said in a scolding tone, “I was stalling. There’s a difference. Demeter? Where’s the food!?!”
“Li,” Allah’s tone was stern and pleading at the same time, “Why?”
The human stopped in the center of the room, shoulders slumping. “I kinda wished you’d’ve been awake for that part. It didn’t go over too well with the quorum either.”
“Stop stalling,” Allah admonished, “What is wrong?”
“Allah,” Li stood in the center of the room, raised and then lowered her hands. “Allah,“ she said, “I need you to prepare yourself. What happened last night was only the opening salvo. Things are going to get worse. A lot worse before we’re done here.”
“The U’knock are accustomed to hardship,” Allah straightened. “We will persevere.“
Li shook her head. “That’s not what I meant. I know your people are strong. I know they’re proud, and I believe they will fight for their home. But are they willing to leave their lives behind to do it?”
“Leave?” Allah pursed her lips and thought. “Why would we need to leave their lives?“
“We don’t have a full planetary shield around this rock,” Li answered. “The safest place for them is going to be in Umati’clam. They’ll have to relocate. All of the villages will have to relocate.
“And,” from the expression on the human’s face, the news she gave was worse than it sounded when she said “Some of them might not make it.”

2023.03.21 12:29 Devinclark851 5 Billing Issues That Affect Revenue For Your Optometry

Healthcare offices and practices are often overloaded with work and many common mistakes can easily happen here. To reduce these, medical billing comes in handy. The coding should be done by the Optometrist as he is the one who is well-educated about the ethical coding procedures. He is responsible for ensuring the usage of correct office visit codes and the claims to be correctly coded. In optometry, there are around 16 ways to code eye examinations except for consultation visits.
But billing is best handled by staff or outsourced people who are trained, billing specialists in optometry. However, there still can be billing issues that can hamper your revenue and can invite unfortunate results like a denied claim or an audit. Below are the most common billing issues which you need to know and avoid timely.
Medical Vs. Routine
Understand the difference between routine and medical exams well to ensure you get the full reimbursement for your services. The chief complaint and diagnosis can help you in that. It will most likely be billed as a medical exam if the primary diagnosis is medical but addresses the chief complaint. Also, remember to never assume that a blurry vision means a refractive issue, as it can be the reason for an underlying medical condition that may result in a medical exam.
Choose the necessary exam elements and perform only those specific tests on the patient, rather than performing routine tests on each patient. A mix-up in this can incorrectly raise the exam code for that visit.
Invalid/Incorrect Modifiers Usage
Modifiers help in describing a service accurately but can also lead to denied medical claims if used incorrectly. There are around 17 modifiers in optometry but below are some frequently used for eye exams:

Duplicate/Incorrect Billing
This happens when a particular patient is billed double or more for the same treatment or test. The operator should be careful enough about whether the patient had already paid or not. This issue will increase administrative work and will be a pain for the payer too. It may also look like the patient has availed multiple services on that day.
Wrong billing could take place in multiple events such as if the patient had scheduled but canceled his/her appointment later, missing details in claims, or for something as small as incorrect patient details. You need to be careful about billing for the correct services like you can’t charge for a service like changing of contact lenses despite no injury to the eye.
These errors can cost you financially or your reputation. Billing errors may show more or less revenue than what you’re making and that will cost you hours of diagnosis to find a small issue. It also may invite unnecessary penalties for fraud, irrespective of how trivial the mistake is.
Unbundling
A few medical billing codes are specifically designed to be used for a group of procedures that are frequently carried out together. Unbundling is an illegal practice when these services are billed under separate codes. This can cause harsh consequences as it can increase the profits for the center.
This issue can be avoided by staying up to date on the coding trends and billing code changes that happen frequently. Stay updated to avoid legal issues later.
Upcoding and Undercoding
Up coding can happen when a moderate (in terms of treatment and money) diagnosis is upgraded to a more serious and expensive treatment. It can also happen when a patient is charged for a service that was covered under Medicare, instead of an administered service. Both these situations can demand high payments than what you should receive.
Under coding is when a provider enters a billing code for a less expensive procedure to avoid an audit or to help a customer save his money.
Last but not the least, remember to follow up on your denied claims and not confuse them with rejected claims. Any optometrist must learn ethical billing and coding procedures and adhere to the optometry coding guidelines that change each year.
One best option to keep proper track is to outsource optometry billing tasks to someone.

2023.03.21 12:26 Cosimov Cyonara 2: Electric Boogaloo; Now that his *second* banner is over, how do you feel?

[5 months ago, I had posted a similar thread here]
Well, Cyno's second banner has come and is just about gone (on Asia server as of writing this, still have a few hours for EU/NA). Save for any last second Cyno pullers, it's probably safe to assume that everyone who's done their pulling has already done it.
So, how are we feeling? If you commented on the thread 5 months ago, has your perception about Cyno changed?
Did you pull Cyno for the first time this banner, or go for constellations (seemingly lots of C2s or C6s this time around)?
Did you pull for his weapon, or refinements, or still rocking a standard 5☆, Deathmatch, or White Tassel?
Did you skip this banner and maybe have placed all your hopes and dreams into Baizhu?
Since Cyno's first banner, we've also seen a...relatively narrow range of teams for him, but at least we've been able to confirm that he is flexible to play. Nahida showed us how nice Cyno can be when he has a reliable source of Dendro, and "Chaos Cyno" has convinced everyone that "Thoma good, actually." Yet there's also still the Aggravate!Cyno vs Quickbloom!Cyno vs Hyperbloom!Cyno debates every now and then that all seem depend on if you're running a Hydro, and if you are then if it's Xingqiu or Yelan...still, any teams you've found yourself particularly fond of? Any hopes and dreams for the future as the end of a rapid influx of new Dendro characters seems to be near and Fontaine is coming soon™️? (Hopium for Electro-charged Meta, anyone?)
Though, once again and most importantly, are you still maining Cyno or benching him?
[As for me, well. I, uh, c6'd him the first time around, and I opted to skip weapon refinements in favor of Mika Baizhu and maybe Baizhu cons...I don't really know how to feel about the state of Dendro in relation to Cyno right now. I've previously voiced my salt at Nahida holding a monopoly over the element, but at the same time I'm comfortable playing Cyno with various levels of Dendro application on his teams. I unironically do want an Electro-charged meta for Taser!Cyno, but Overload!Cyno is equally quite fun. His flexibility certainly keeps his teams fresh, so I'm hopeful that Cyno will continue to scale well into the future 😌 We've also been blessed with in-game content for him, so I'm savoring every moment of that before we inevitably see less of him once we step into Fontaine...]

2023.03.21 12:22 4_815162342 Contact's "story updates" show up in phone's work profile WhatsApp but not in regular profile-- any ideas?

Hi everyone,

Let me elaborate on the title a little bit-- I have an Android phone and have two "profiles" on my phone due to my employer's IT Policy; a work profile and my regular, private profile. I have WhatsApp downloaded for both profiles; the work profile WhatsApp is connected to my work mobile number, and the private profile WhatsApp is connected to my regulaprivate number.

I have a friend who I have saved as a contact under both my work profile contacts as well as my regular contacts, as they are a former co-worker. They are currently traveling and told me to check out their "WhatsApp Stories" to follow their travels. Now for some reason, I can see their WhatsApp story updates under my work profile WhatsApp, but not on my private profile (which is the one we are regularly communicating on)-- anybody know why that could be?

Thanks for any insights!

2023.03.21 12:14 Outside-Time5535 Finally finished Banshee

Was mostly interested due to being a fan of Anthony Starr after watching The Boys. Definitely a drop in quality for that last season, ranking them as follows (2, 1, 3, 4). I liked a lot of the characters, some way more than others. Carrie H. was annoying as fuck through your most of the show. Usually a character like Job would annoy me due to how overly flamboyant he is, but it’s actually a good level of sass while also being incredibly important to the plot. Also his actor, has soo much range because he’s character in Warrior is an entire 180 to the point where I’m 9 episodes in on that show and didn’t recognize him. I bet my top dollar Sugar was gonna die before the series finished up, and I’m surprised he didn’t. Kai Proctor and characters like him have been done a hundred times, however, in a story, his character could as your protagonist. Guy goes from Amish exile to running a criminal enterprise. Has Amish Breaking Bad written all over it. Also in an alternate universe, I’d cast Kai and Burton as Lex Luther and Superman because I definitely think they could pull it off. Show is a 6.5/10.

2023.03.21 12:14 coingabbarupdate Why go for a ChatGPT alternative?

ChatGPT is a cutting-edge model for machine learning used for natural language processing (NLP). Real-time discussion replies that are tailored and context-sensitive can be produced using it.
The key advantage of a ChatGPT substitute is that it has a hugely varied collection of capabilities to accommodate various use cases. Hence, despite being a fantastic tool and the talk of the town, ChatGPT has its drawbacks:
Here is the list of alternatives for ChatGPT.

ChatSonic

ChatSonic comes first in the list as it is among the most recent and comprehensive ChatGPT substitutes that have recently gained popularity. As it was constructed using ChatGPT as a foundation, it gains access to all of its enormous possibilities.
ChatSonic delivers the most latest information about events and issues that are now taking place by using Google's knowledge network to find up-to-date, accurate information.
What assistance does ChatSonic's AI provide, though? By using ChatSonic AI, which is also capable of handling daily tasks, any query may be appropriately addressed. To generate accurate summaries and insights on current events, trends, and conversations, ChatSonic, a free solution for ChatGPT, employs NLP and machine learning.
ChatSonic AI is a cutting-edge and potent GPT3 chatbot that can stay up to date with current events, providing it an advantage in terms of accuracy and dependability.

Jasper Chat by Jasper

Jasper Chat is AI tool that can assist online content creators and advertising agencies in scaling their operations.
In comparison to the other ChatGPT options on this list, it is essentially an AI content-generating robot with a lot more business-oriented functionality. It can also generate commercial copy, caption social media posts, write video scripts, and do a lot more.
Jasper also includes a relatively new chatbot in addition to its content-generating capabilities and other services. This ChatGPT substitute, aptly called Jasper Chat, is built on GPT 3.5 and additional language models and has OpenAI as a partner.
JasperChat, in contrast to ChatGPT, was created for businesses like marketing, advertising, and other similar fields.

Replika

Replika is an advanced AI friend with more than 10 million users. It is significantly more sophisticated than its forerunners and is capable of recognizing visual cues and using them to maintain the flow of the discussion.
It is one of the best ChatGPT alternatives to encourage your creative thinking while you're feeling lonely. It is an AI-powered chatbot that acts more like a buddy than anything else and will instantly reply to every text you send. Replika will listen to your conversations with friends and family about life, love, and other universal subjects.
Replika uses the autoregressive GPT-3 language model, which means it picks up new information from its prior inputs (in this case, your prompts). It can use past information about your life to effectively mold itself to you because its main goal is to have meaningful conversations with people.

Character AI

Character AI does exactly what it says on the tin: it is an artificial intelligence tool that enables users to communicate with synthetic replicas of well-known personalities from movies and TV shows.
One interesting aspect of character AI is creating characters because you can customize them as you go. In addition to choosing the characters' names, I could also give them a welcome, a voice, a description, and even an avatar.
An avatar-generation image generator is integrated into the AI. You can immediately start conversing after finishing and even share it with others.
Character AI has drawbacks. It is more of a novelty tool to have a little fun with because its responses are not as consistently accurate or as valuable as the ChatGPT. There aren't many AI programs that are better if all you want is something to keep you entertained than Character AI.

Perplexity AI

Perplexity AI is a ChatGPT alternative that has been trained on OpenAI's API as well, and as a result, it works well and provides accurate responses. The website has a clean, straightforward design and has been packed simply.
One feature that sets Perplexity apart is the way it cleanly organizes the sources utilized to produce the answers it provides to users, allowing you to assess their legitimacy and credibility.
Perplexity AI doesn't even require an account and is totally free to use. So, you can converse with this ChatGPT-like program and even look at some of its citations.

Conclusion

We sincerely hope that any of these ChatGPT substitutes can match the original AI chatbot in terms of quality. As you can see, the number of AI bots is quite large. Jasper Chat by Jasper and ChatSonic are two solid paid choices to take into consideration if you require more sophisticated features like data export or customizations.

My husband's friend made me uncomfortable at our wedding
Originally posted to TrueOffMyChest
Original Post March 13, 2023
Last weekend, my husband (27M) and I (30F) got married. It was a great wedding, and I had a great time leading up to it. There's been only one thing that's left a sour taste in my mouth.
Growing up, I always wanted a big princess wedding. I know some people see those as tacky and immature, but it was always my dream. As part of this, the theme for our wedding was "ballroom," and I told everyone to wear the nicest things they owned and told the women in particular to try to "outshine" me. I even went as far as telling the married women to wear their wedding dresses. I didn't care about being outdressed. Instead, all I wanted was to fulfill the aesthetic in my head that I had for the wedding, which included everyone else looking nothing less than extravagant. (And no, before people ask, I don't regret my decision. It was really special to see my mom, aunts, and bridesmaids, all in their own dresses on my big day. It kind of felt like they were passing the torch onto me and I really enjoyed the experience.)
Now on to my husband's friend. My husband has this friend I'll call "Kate" (27F). Kate is my husband's childhood friend and first love. My husband comes from a small town, and the majority of his friends he's known since adolescence. In their senior year of high school, Kate and my husband got engaged (which is kinda normal where they're from) but called off the wedding and never went through with it. It was mutual. They felt they were growing up too fast and wanted to slow down. The calling off the wedding was the end of the relationship, but they stayed friends. I knew this information prior to getting with my husband and never had a problem or felt jealous because I'm friends with a few exes myself. In fact, two of them were invited to our wedding. One was my bridesmaid (I'm bisexual) and the other was invited as a guest along with his current girlfriend.
I've never had a problem with Kate being my husband's ex but I have had a problem with Kate as a person as she's kind of bitchy and gossips like she's still in highschool. A few examples of this are just a month into our relationship she confessed to my husband she still had some lingering feelings to which he responded they had already tried that and it didn't work, if she brought it up again he would to cut her off out of respect for me. I wasn't that mad at the time, because I understood they had a long history and my relationship with him was just starting out, and she owed it to herself to see if there was anything still there before it was too late. However after she was turned down her attitude towards me changed to fake nice and started calling me things like cougar, or asking me how I expected to make a relationship work as I want to be an anesthesiologist which would require long hours, or telling my husband's whole friend group how she doesn't like my "loud" personality, and when I confronted her about all of those things she would say "oh it was just a joke" or "you're so loud I felt like you would just go off". There's more shit but if I typed it all, I would never get to the point.
Kate has her own husband I'll call Jarold. Kate and Jarold both make average in terms of finances as they are both teachers. Kate kindergarten and Jarold seniors. They got married last year. On a teachers salary Kate wasn't able to afford the most luxurious wedding dress out there, but I always had the impression she was happy with it. Kate does have another wedding dress from when she was going to marry my husband that her dad payed for (who has unfortunately passed now) which in terms of fanciness is a bit nicer, but obviously she didn't wear that dress to her own wedding.
I was expecting Kate to wear the wedding dress she wore to her own wedding to our wedding. But when I looked and saw her she had the wedding dress she was supposed to wear when she was getting married to my husband. When I saw her I immediately went "wtf" but decided to just drop it because I didn't want a conflict on our wedding day. My husband, however, was also confused on why she wore that one and asked her about it without me even having to tell him I was uncomfortable. She responded "well your wife wanted such a big princess wedding I thought I'd wear this one because it follows the theme more, don't tell me she's upset about it, she's the one who said come in you're nicest clothes and this is my nicest dress"
I feel like I'm not allowed to be upset even though I am, and I know this is my fault, but the whole thing has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I would've never been okay with her wearing that one if I'd known she was going to, and I feel like she should've asked. I keep telling myself it's not that big of a deal, and during the daytime, when I'm distracted, I don't even think about it. But I've always been a night owl, and it makes me shitty every time I think about it before I fall asleep. So now I'm here complaining on reddit like a loser. I feel pathetic.
OOP ON WHY HER HUSBAND IS STILL FRIENDS WITH HER
Most of the stuff she did was at the beginning of our relationship (we've been together 5 years), which did leave to my husband having a talk with her about not being friends anymore. She said she was sorry she offended me and didn't realize I didn't have "their" (referring to his friend group) sense of humor. He said that maybe the things she says just aren't funny. And once she said that, it only reinforced his decision to cut her off because he said, "Even now you can't just say sorry." It's always I'm sorry, but..." which shows you aren't sincere. It was really awkward because she was friends with all his friends and we still saw her around but he would just hold my hand and ignore her. That lasted about a year until she got with "jarold" and she finally gave a sincere (or atleast what I thought was sincere) apology and said that she realized after getting with jarold who "is the love of her life" how upset she would've been if our roles were reversed and asked for another chance of us all being friends. Despite my better judgement, I agreed, and while the comments aren't so directly rude anymore, sometimes her tone towards me sounds like she thinks I'm dumb or I feel like there's a double meaning to her words. Ive noticed shes kind of a bitch to all their friends tho and they've just accepted it as a part of her personality. I've been feeling like I'm going crazy for a while because she hasn't said anything directly rude, but after reading these comments, I'm going to have a conversation with my husband about it tomorrow.
OOP ON HER HUSBAND'S EX KEEPING THE DRESS
I did ask her that when I saw it the first time. She said she kept it because it was the last really nice thing her dad bought her before he passed. She was 19 when he died.
OOP ON HOW SHE KNEW IT WAS THE OLD WEDDING DRESS
I've answered this twice in other comments. But basically I saw the highschool one in her closet once, we were invited to her wedding last year and I remember what her dress looked like not to mention we took a shit ton of photos, and three when my husband confronted her even if I hadn't realized it on my own I would realized it then.
Update March 14, 2023
Hello guys, here's the update. So I talked to my husband about it this morning, and when I brought it up, he immediately let out a sigh of relief. He said, "I didn't know how to bring it up because you didn't seem bothered, but when I saw her in that dress, I thought it was very weird she wore that one." He went on to say that he even considered asking her to leave because he thought it was rude but because I had no reaction to the dress he thought I either didn't care or didn't recognize it but either way if I wasn't bothered he didn't want to disturb my peace of mind by kicking her out. We discussed and he's going to have a talk with her, not just about the dress, but her treatment of me in general and explain that going forward she will not be a friend in our lives.
After this talk, I've decided to let it go and focus on my new marriage. This was a small thing, and now, after I've talked it out with my husband, I feel kind of silly I let it bother me this much. Im at peace she will no longer be in our lives and that's enough for me. Someone said you gave her the chance to wear the dress her dad got her and gave her a gift. That was kind of a "huh" moment for me because no matter what her intentions were, that is true, and I'm glad she got to have that moment.
End of update the rest of this is just answering questions and explaining what the wedding looked like.
A common asked question is how did we even know what the dress looked like. I said it a few times in comments, but I've seen it a couple of times before in her closet. Usually, when my husband's friend group hangs out, the guys all get ready at one of their places, and the girls get ready at one of our places. Then we all meet up to wherever we're going, whether that's a pub crawl, or a concert, or music festival, etc. Kate hosts pretty regularly, and It's during those times I've seen it in her closet while she looks for something to wear. And when she got married to Jarold she put her other wedding dress right next to the high school one. As for my husband, I asked him about that today, and he said when they broke up, Kate asked if he wanted to see the dress since there was no point in hiding it anymore and he said yes. And then when they told their friends the news the friends also wanted to see the dress so she put it on for them too.
On to pictures, I'm not going to post any, but I will explain how it looked for those of you who wanted to know.
So firstly lots of people showed up in wedding dresses and that was absolutely beautiful. One thing my friends from college did was do a fifties Marilyn Monroe type glam, and it was killer. One of the staff was able to find a red carpet and we took a bunch of black and white photos of them. I had about five girls wear their Quince dresses, which was GORGEOUS 😍 . Finally, some parents dressed their little girls up in actual princess costumes, which I thought was really cute. The guys also dressed really well too. One guy did a sequin tux. Quite a few went for a Rockstar type suit. My husband's best man went for this really gorgeous red velvet tux. And my dress was this really shimmery really poofy ballgown type dress with a flower design on the veil that I got custom made for me and then I had it designed where I could actually unattach the poofy part of the dress (for the reception) and then by doing that it turned into this long sleek white shimmery dress with a leg slit.
RELEVANT COMMENTS
ON WHAT THE DRESS LOOKED LIKE
The one she wore was a champagne colered lacy (not necessarily sexy or anything but it had it a lot of lace) V neck dress with a collar??? (I'm not really sure how to explain it) with a track that had roses stitched into the design that were champagne colored like her dress. I don't know if I did a good job explaining, but it's very pretty in person.

2023.03.21 12:09 Firegoat1 Superchef Grudge Match - ep 8 - Unfinished Business -- early discussion and spoilers

It's Tuesday morning and time for Discovery plus to do an early drop of Superchef Grudge Match. This episode is entitled "unfinished business." As usual what follows will be a discussion of the chefs, the grudge, the knives, the judging and the scores, but I won't list the winners of the two rounds, altho they will likely appear later in the comments, so read on at your own risk.
ROUND ONE: The chefs for round one are Aaron May challenging his rival from their earlier days (close to 20 years ago) on the line, Ilan Hall. Aaron says he harbors so much resentment for the way Ilan bullied him on the line. (Hmmmm, Ilan a bully in his early days? (Kind of brings back shades of Top Chef season two and how ilan treated Marcel). They both worked the line on a Spanish restaurant in New York, Casa Mono. Aaron says he made it out but he harbors a lot of resentment to how he was treated. Ilan says Aaron was always jealous of him but that he himself is the better chef. Knives: Aaron's knife was hand-made in L.A. It's a 9" hand made vacuum-hardened steel. Ilan puts up what he says is his favorite knife of all time, a 7" aircraft grade CPM S36 VN steel blade. He says he would be mortified to lose it.
The mystery ingredient: Aaron brought American cheese. Ilan brought rose petals. Darnell requires them to cook a cuisine they both used to cook together, so they are required to make meat and vegetarian Spanish tapas. The secret ingredients must both be used in both types of tapas. Aaron is cooking: Meat option is Iberico ham and American cheese croquette with rose petal harrisa jam. The vegetarian option is American cheese tortilla espanola with pickled rose petal aioli. Ilan's meat tapa is chopped cheese on pan con tomate. The vegetarian dish is grill mushrooms with American cheese and rose petal special mayo. Here come the judges: Maneet Chauhan and Crista Luedtke. Judging: There is 50 points available -- 20 for taste, 20 for use of ingredients and 10 for presentation. Aaron presents his dish first. Crista says Aaron outdid himself. Maneet loved his aioli he made with the rose petals. She didn't think the American cheese in the croquette melted enough. But loved the harissa. Chef Ilan presents second. Crista says he delivered a modern take on tapas. She liked the peppers in the meat dish, but was losing some rose. Maneet loved the mushroom tapa, as did Crista. Maneet says overall it is very impressive and modern. Obviously judging is not blind. The scores: 45 to 43.
Take aways from this round: While I think there was a real grudge here 20 years ago, I think both these chefs moved on from it a long time ago. There is a lot of smack talking but its of the funny light variety like "Ilan hates puppies!" and that sort. They seem genuinely friendly at the end and seem to really respect each other. So it ended on a good note with both being good sports. Interesting that Ilan is on the show after he hosted Knife Fight -- a show with a similar concept -- for four years. Also Aaron May has won GGG 10 times and been on the show far more than that and both the judges are also regular contestants and/or judges on GGG so they know his food far better than Ilan's who has been out of competition cooking for some time other than his round on TOC 4. (not sure which of these shows filmed first).
Round two: Darnell says this grudge is near and dear to him as he's known both chefs since his culinary school days. Chef Davonte Bolden is challenging Chef Randy Pasch. The two chefs were supposed to open a restaurant together and allegedly Chef Randy got cold feet and left Ddavonte high and dry. Darnell says Che Davonte has helped him open six different restaurants. and became Darnell's executive chef. Randy is a protege of Stephanie Izard and Grant Achatz and is an executive chef. Randy says he left Davonte because he is a stronger chef than Davonte and he had to dowhat he needed to do for his career.(he gets booed by the audience for that.) KNIVES: Davonte brings a knife given to him by his mentor as 12" high carbon chef-cleaver hybrid. Randy brings his knife he named Sheila, a 10" Shun Damascus clad Chef's knife. Mystery ingredient: Davonte brings cream soda. Randy brings finger limes. Darnell assigns them to make a sweet and savory dish using finger limes and cream soda in 30 minutes.
The food: Davonte is making a pineapple bowl with Asian-inspired Spanish rich with salmon, shrimp andpico de gallo with tortilla chips. Randy is making a pork rind encrusted codwith smoked lobster, corn and quinoa salad with a cream soda vanilla gastrique with bread pudding salad. Judging: Davonte presents first. Crista says it is a beautiful presentation. She is getting the sweet but not too much. She thinks a little too much is going on. She thought it could use more lime. Maneet thought the salmon was unnecessary. The shrimp was delicious. She likes the heat in the rice. Randy presents second: Crista again says a lot going on. Delicious but strugging with the cohesiveness of the dish. Maneet says they are all delicious on their own but not cohesive. She likes the smoke on the lobster. She wanted more cream soda. Maneet says both chefs need to do more self-editing. The score is: 37 to 33. Pretty low scores right here.
Final thoughts: Even tho the second round seemed like a legit grudge the way they were acting, at the end they all talk about how the three of them are brothers and tight and the loser says if he had to lose to anyone it would be his competitor --- so I get the feeling this wasn't the hate match it started out looking like. Also weird that the host's own executive chef would be competing on the show. But at least at the end it was obvious they were all friends (for those of you who find the really hateful matches uncomfortable.)
Here is what is coming up next week according to the Food Network site: Darnell "SuperChef" Ferguson welcomes four fired-up chefs to bring the heat into the kitchen. First up, it's a Tar Heel throwdown as Chopped winner Chris Coleman seeks to take the title of North Carolina's best chef from Executive Chef Travis Myers. Then, the temperature rises in a Food Network Star rematch as Beat Bobby Flay winner Chad Rosenthal faces Iron Chef veteran Viet Pham in a fried chicken fight.

What You Get

Phase 0) Digital Economics 101

The Digital Economics 101 module will open 1 week prior to the cohort start date. This is an onboarding module that will get you up to speed so we can get straight into the material. This will be required to finish before the start date.
  • Gain a deep understanding of all of the pieces in the digital economy.
  • Learn about the future of media and code — the front-end and backend of the internet — so you can focus your efforts.
  • Understand digital leverage, distribution, no-code tools, and digital assets so you can take part in the mental & financial wealth transfer.

Phase 1) Creating A Meaningful Niche

Every day I hear people going on and on about trying to find their niche.I also hear people talking about how they don’t know how to combine what they love talking about with what will sell. You already have the answer. You just don’t have the clarity.
  • Develop a long-term strategy to create your own niche — meaning you don’t have to worry about your “competition” playing status games.
  • Discover your life’s work, curiosities, and obsessions. I see too many people that are uncertain about this for years.
  • Cultivate and turn your vision, goals, and values into a brand that attracts an audience you love interacting with (and that will buy from you, and only you).

Phase 2) Content Strategy

There is one thing that separates those who make it in the digital economy and those who don’t.It’s the quality, articulation, and perceived originality of their content. The content you post has to make sense to the people you attract.Everyone has a different voice and tone that they resonate with. That they are congruent with and trust. It has to change their thought patterns or behavior — that’s what makes you memorable. That’s what separates you from the sea of people posting surface-level copy-cat style posts.Example and putting my money where my mouth is:
  • Become an expert-level speaker or writer on the topics you care about.
  • Never run out of content ideas for your posts or promotions (without using content templates — that’s how you stay a commodity).
  • Create posts, blogs, tweets, images, and videos that resonate with other’s on a deep level. People will actually ask you how you got so good at what you do.
  • Separate yourself from the ocean of B-tier creators that struggle to sell their products, services, andhave their ideas stick in the head of their audience.
  • Implement our Epistemic Research Method — which is just a fancy way of saying scientific research method… but it’s for researching your mind to craft brilliant content and product ideas.

Phase 3) Crafting Your Offer

Most people are sitting on a goldmine of skills, experience, and knowledge (that they can use to help people 1-2 steps behind them). That is what people pay for.Considering 95% of the market are beginners… if you are good at something, you can help them get to your level (no matter how “basic” you think the information is).Do you not watch basic content all day anyway? People don’t want new information, they want to be reminded of what works.
  • Use our Minimum Viable Offer strategy to start monetizing immediately (and have something to improve over time, rather than procrastinating until it’s perfect).
  • Have a strategy for reducing the time you spend working over time (as you build leverage and improve your offer).
  • Know how to create your own customers from the audience you are building, instead of “finding” the right customer for your offer.
  • Take the guesswork out of building coaching, consulting, or digital product offers.

Phase 4) Marketing Strategy

You aren’t making money because you aren’t promoting yourself or your offer. That is literally the only way to make money. Have something desirable and consistently put it in front of peoples’ faces. In Phase 4, I will show you how to systemize, automate, and be consistent with simple promotions. You will be able to make money without having the chance of forgetting to do it (or letting fear of failure get in the way).
  • Learn to sell on social media, in your writing, and across different platforms.
  • Have consistent sales coming in while focusing on your meaningful message (no need to sound salesy all the time).
  • Learn advanced automation strategies that you can implement at your own pace, especially once you validate your offer.

Bonus) The Creator Command Center

The Creator Command Center is a Notion template that houses all of the systems. This is how you will manage your brand, content, offer creation, marketing strategy, and systemized promotions for consistent sales.

Bonus) Live Product Build & Launch

In the first Digital Economics Cohort, I built out my course The 2 Hour Writer.I have videos showing how I build it with the strategies in phase 3 and 4.There is a bonus module that shows how I had an $85,000 launch that resulted in my first $100K month.I did this to prove the strategies inside Digital Economics work if you stick to the plan. And, this past Black Friday, I blew my that monthly high out of the water in 4 days. That’s the power of these strategies if you stay consistent with your life’s work.
