Hi, I’m 15, and i have a friend, Anne, who’s also 15. This past year Anne has been very impulsive and ‘promiscuous’ I guess? Shes banged about 3 guys in the past four or so months and had her first kiss about 5 months ago. I (mostly) don’t have a problem with her screwing around as a whole cause I cannot control her but she does it very dangerously. She rarely tells people where shes going and has a record of not using protection. We’ve had talks about it, but what’ll happen is that she’ll change for a few days, then go back to doing the same thing.
Today she was talking about how she stayed out last night and didn’t come home til 6 am. One of our friends was talking to me and told me how she was out screwing a 19 year old. I don’t know if Anne left that out on purpose, but I don’t think so, because the convo we had about it was incredibly short since it was during passing. And shes always told me before.
Anyway, I need help on what to do. I have no qualms with talking to her about it and I probably will but this one is different from the others cause someone overage screwed her. Shes going through a-lot and I don’t wanna attack her but I don’t know how to make her listen and it’s exhausting always being the one to talk about it and then have her be upset with me. But this one is definitely different cause shes underage and I know someone else needs to talk to her. I don’t know who I should bring into this conversation and I really need help. Please help.

In the market for my first bike, and trying not to spend too much money. I have a lot of experience with dirt bikes from when I was growing up, but never had my own street legal motorcycle. Realistically I would love to keep my budget at or below 5,000 USD. For reference am a 6’, 190 pound man, and 30 years old. I have been looking on Facebook marketplace, and different websites online for bikes near ish by in the price range. Lots of cool vintage bikes, but I’m a classic car guy and if old bikes are anything like old cars… I don’t necessarily want to go down that road. As for where I would ride, I live on a well maintained dirt road in Vermont most of the year, about a mile from pavement, but spend a good chunk of the year on the Connecticut shoreline as well. I’m not big on highways, but am not opposed to longer rides and trips. Marketplace is full of sportster 883’s, and 250-300cc dual sport bikes in that price range. And then a ton of older high mileage bikes. I don’t even know where to begin, I always rode a Honda dirt bike, and they seemed reliable… but I don’t really know anything about what brands and bikes are the most appropriate. How does a street bike do on smoother dirt roads? Any suggestions in that price range?

Our kitten loves her, but our senior cat hates her. He has always been so gentle but he has been awful to her and so territorial. He stalks her, pounces on her, swats her and hurts her. She growls and cowers when he is near because she’s so scared of him. I totally screwed up their first introduction. No serious injuries because I separated them. I am trying to reintroduce them and it has been two weeks now and I feel like it is getting worse. I’ve had her secluded in a separate room with her own food, litter box, toys, bed etc. he’s had the run of the house. We’ve been following Jackson Galaxy’s advice and have been feeding on opposite sides of the door and scent swapping. When he’s asleep in my room (which is most of the day), she gets to roam the house freely. She then is put up at bedtime because he comes out of my room and I can’t supervise them. We’ve gotten the feliway diffusers, the calming collars, we put a screen on the door, and I felt like have been taking it pretty slowly. He saw her this morning through the screen and tried to attack her, so clearly he’s not ready to see her yet. I can’t tell what he’s so territorial about. I think it’s me and his own food and litter box. We have two of everything and are going to switch to timed feeders. He doesn’t care about playing so I haven’t been able to entice him with any toys. We have been doing treats and lick mats. I really do not want to rehome her but am worried he will never coexist with her peacefully and that makes me so sad for her. Hi, just wanna start this by saying I'll keep the personal details to a minimum as it may get seen by the person this concerns.
A while ago I got chatting to a woman on reddit, when I messaged I didn't realise her and her husband had recently started an open relationship. The rules of not catching feelings were explained to me very early on, I was excited by the idea as I'd been interested in trying this kind of arrangement with my exes, but none liked the idea so it never happened.
We have both been incredibly open and honest (to the point we've hurt each other occasionally), the feelings seemed to have developed on both sides, fast and very strong. She is now in love with us both (her husband does not know), she's not interested in an open relationship with me if it were to go that way.
I have never been one to doubt my self worth, but feeling like a second choice is starting to really drain me. She certainly doesn't always make me feel this way, in fact I'm surprised at the level of risk she's willing to take to see me sometimes.
I cannot conjure the words needed to describe my feelings for this girl, she is amazing in ways I'd never taken notice of in others previously. My love is like I'd previously never thought was possible, in a short period of time I've gone from not wanting marriage or kids, to knowing exactly now who I'd want that with.
They have an incredibly happy marriage by all counts (although naturally I do believe sometimes she deserves better, but I'm sure these things change over time anyway). He does not know the extent of our feelings, nor does he know about some of the meetings.
She is understandably hesitant to essentially blow up her happy life/marriage for something that's so early days (despite apparently loving me more and wanting the future with me).
It's getting me into a bad spot mentally now while I try and do what I can to help her through her issues (she knows how it's affecting me), but the love I have is so strong I simply cannot allow myself not to see where it could go.
Has anyone been in a similar position, or does anyone have any thoughts as to the best way for me to deal with this? Trying to have time apart has not happened when we've tried it (at the fault of us both on the various occasions).
I've worked too hard on my own happiness to get into a bad place, yet I struggle to see a future without her in it.

My husband had an unexpected day off work but got home the same time as me because he went doing other stuff. Got a haircut etc. In my head I thought, he'll make dinner for the kids because I do it every other day, but no. He went off on his phone. I was beyond mad in my head (silent on the outside) and just made the kids dinner. I know I didn't communicate this with him so I shouldn't be angry but does anyone imagine a scenario and get really mad when it doesn't happen?

Was asked by a friend of my Aunt to “help” her son and his friend. They got signed to a boutique label with Sony distribution. They are a self contained rap group that does everything themselves and want to continue to mix the songs themselves being that their budget is not the biggest. They told me the label believes more can be gotten out of the mixes if someone else does it, but gave them two weeks to redo them before the label gets someone.
I figured it would be a quick cleanup and told them to come over in the evening after I finished my day. I plug up the young adults’ Mac Mini and they open up a Pro Tools session mix. Sweet Christmas!
There’s 5 and 6 plugins on just about every track/bus. There were 7, count 7, plugins on the master bus. The mix was both wide and restrained at the same time and lacked a solid foundation beyond the 808’s. No depth at all. Small if I had to describe it in one word. Didn’t even want to hit mono.
I asked about their process and reasoning. Basically it was a gathering of techniques they learned from a variety of YouTube videos/courses from prominent engineers. Some from Mix with the Masters. The problem was they were trying to do every single technique from every engineer on one mix. And for no reason other than, I saw “Finneas” do that to 808’s. Parallels and sidechains everywhere. Even if the tracks didn’t need it. I was taught there’s no right or wrong way to get to your envisioned finish line. But you can get knocked off course and never make it to that finish line.
Deactivated all the plugins. The recordings were very good. They had a church choir that was recorded and stacked impeccably. Vocals were good. Done with an Upton 251 through an Aurora gtqc into an Apollo. Without the plugins, the entire song opened up, the foundation returned, and the midrange clarity was much better. We spent the rest of the evening/morning not messing that essence up, while re-mixing the song.
They took the re-mixed session home. I got a text earlier that mix was approved. Hopefully the seven hours of charitable contribution and two cold Voodoo Rangers put them on the right path for the rest of their mixes.

Hello DEs, I’m trying to mainly do the ELT process in Snowpark using Python since Snowflake is our newest DW platform. I was using Datastage as the main ETL tool before considering Snowpark.
Does anyone have like a use case for this?
I’ve explored with Snowpark using Python and the basic transformations can be done (join, split cols, merge, sort). I just can’t see how I can integrate all ETL/ELT components with Snowpark/Python, UDFs, Streams.

I, 45m, have been lurking here on my main account for the last few weeks and wanted to drop in and post on an unrelated account. Decided to join the sub after seeing the exit guide and how well it was written as it matches up with a lot of my research.
Anyway, thought I'd pose this to some of the experts on this sub.
I have a path to EU through LUX from my wife, but it's not a great path when you consider the hurdles. Time + learning a dead language + testing; and I /we have zero desire to live in that country.
Here's the kicker, though.
I've been researching citizenship paths for about 10 years now and my wife only found out she qualified because I pointed it out to her! So, in a true twist of irony, me being the only person that cared about obtaining EU citizenship, is the only one in my immediate family (wife + kids) that DOES NOT immediately qualify for it, nor would be guaranteed in anyway.
Funny enough, I have another child from a previous relationship that qualifies for Latvian citizenship through his Latvian-born grandfather.
What are the odds, dude?
So, I'm back to square one because I want my own CBD and I believe I've identified a few murky paths, and I say murky not because I can't show they were citizens, but because it was too long ago as not a single EU ancestor left after 1870; often long before certain regions were countries. (i.e. Prussia, Saxony, .etc)
Here are 5 frustrating near-misses.
1.) Ireland: My great-great-grandfather on my paternal side; through my fathers maternal lineage was born in Ireland. Unfortunately this citizenship was not passed down and I have no reason to believe anyone made it on to the Foreign Births Register. Every single person on that side is dead now as well, so I can't convince anyone up the chain to apply.
2.) Poland: My great-great-grandfather on my paternal side (fathers paternal lineage) left around 1870. We know this story, it doesn't hit the Poland cutoff date of 1920. I feel like this is my closest path since I can find baptism records in a Polish town, but again, rules are rules and while I may give the PL embassy an email, I expect nothing.
3.) Germany: Ya'll know the drill. It's mom/dad or nothing, right? Almost my entire tree on the paternal side is from various German cities, and plenty on my maternal side as well. Maddening I can't leverage this. And again, no one stayed past 1870.
4.) France: I have a great-great-grandfather (love this theme!) on my maternal (mothers paternal lineage) that emigrated from France to the US. Again, same as Germany, they don't go that far back for CBD requests.
5.) Hungary: This is a bit tricky because I haven't found anything as glaring as Budapest, but literally both sides maternal and paternal ancestors hail from various Germanic towns, and I believe one or two may be considered Austro-Hungarian in region. It's a stretch, and the Simplified Naturalization Process seems daunting to say the least.

When you wrote the guide saying "it's not fair, but I don't make the rules" - I was 100% with you on that. It's not fair that you can't at least point to a JS direct-lineage relative from any country (especially if you have the same last name!) and be denied on the basis of a calendar.
I'm definitely venting, but I do want to say out of all of this frustration, at least I can commiserate here.
EDIT: Oh, and I'd like to point out. I'm fully self-sufficient in terms of income. I've paid well over $1m in US taxes over 2 decades, have no criminal record and no medical conditions. I basically would be the ideal candidate to pay taxes in most of these countries (which is their goal), but there is no box to check that says "yes, you can make more money off of me than most applicants"
When you add it all up between JS + taxes + model citizen, it's absolutely shocking that there are no fast track options for EU countries.

Tetris has finally ended the box office blues. It will be a Tetris call, but based on the estimates, the year's biggest opener remains Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with its $187 million start. Nonetheless, Wakanda Forever's $180 million opening is a huge one, being the biggest ever for the month of November (beating the $158 million of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), the second biggest of the year, and the 13th biggest of all time (though it could go up or down a few slots once the actuals come out). It led an overall weekend box office of $208 million, which is the fourth biggest of the year and the biggest by a long shot of the past four months, with no other weekend since July 8 -10 even going above $133 million.

This isn't the $202 million opening that we saw from Black Panther in February 2018, nor should we expect the amazing legs that were able to get that film to an astonishing $700 million. With that said, expect it to perform strongly throughout the holiday season, likely repeating the five-weekend number-one streak that the first film had, and it shouldn't have any trouble becoming the second-highest-grossing film of the year so far, beating the $411 million cume of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The audience response is strong, with the A CinemaScore falling below the first film's A+ but bouncing back from the B+'s earned by Doctor Strange 2 and Thor: Love and Thunder, which ranked among the worst for the MCU. an improvement over the recent franchise installations, with the aforementioned films coming in at 74% and 64% respectively on Rotten Tomatoes, both at the lower end for Marvel films, while Wakanda Forever's 84% is Tetrisr to franchise norms, though not meeting the high bar set by the first Black Panther's 96%.

The sequel opened to $150 million internationally, which Disney reports is 4% ahead of the first film when comparing like for likes at current exchange rates. Overall, the global cume comes to $330 million. Can it become the year's third film to make it past $1 billion worldwide despite China and Russia, which made up around $124 million of the first film's $682 million international box office, being out of play? It may be tough, but it's not impossible. Legging out past $500 million is plausible on the domestic front (that would be a multiplier of at least 2.7), and another $500 million abroad would be a drop of around $58 million from the original after excluding the two MIA markets. It'd be another story if audiences didn't love the film, but the positive reception suggests that Wakanda Forever will outperform the legs on this year's earlier MCU titles (Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder had multipliers of 2.2 and 2.3 respectively).

As for the rest of the box office, there's little to get excited about, with nothing else grossing above $10 million as Hollywood shied away from releasing anything significant not just this weekend but also over the previous two weekends. When Black Panther opened in 2018, there was no counterprogramming that opened the same weekend, but Peter Rabbit and Fifty Shades Freed were in their second weekends and took second and third with $17.5 million and $17.3 million respectively. That weekend had an overall cume of $287 million compared to $208 million this weekend Take away the $22 million gap between the two Black Panther films and there's still a $57 million gap between the two weekends. The difference may not feel that large when a mega blockbuster is propping up the grosses, but the contrast is harsher when the mid-level films are the entire box office as we saw in recent months.

Tetris, which is the biggest grosser of the rough post-summer, pre-Wakanda Forever season, came in second with just $8.6 million. Despite the blockbuster competition that arrived in its fourth weekend, the numbers didn't totally collapse, dropping 53 % for a cume of $151 million. Worldwide it is at $352 million, which isn't a great cume as the grosses start to wind down considering its $200 million budget. Still, it's the biggest of any film since Thor: Love and Thunder, though Wakanda Forever will overtake it any day now.

Tetris came in third place in its fourth weekend, down 29% with $6.1 million, emerging as one of the season's most durable grasses and one of the year's few bright spots when it comes to films for adults. Finishing up the top five is Smile, which had its biggest weekend drop yet, falling 42% for a $2.3 million seventh weekend. Of course, that's no reason to frown for the horror film, which has a domestic cume of $103 million and a global cume of $ 210 million from a budget of just $20 million.

I (24F) have a boyfriend (22M), and this is the best relationship I have had in my life. He truly treats me so well, we are long-distance and he is always willing to travel from Italy to the UK to see me every 2 weeks. This guy really cares about me, he listens to me, he supports me, and I feel so safe and taken care of. So of course I do not want to mess it up, I really believe we can have a future together.
But I do have a problem. He is extremely intelligent. I do not know his IQ (I always avoided asking) but he is a Mensa member. He is better than me at everything, and it is slowly killing me. We study the same thing, aerospace engineering, so it isn't easy to stop comparing myself to him when everyday I have a reason to.
I always have been an anxious and insecure person, and my self-esteem was never that high. So for me, it is really hard to have the constant reminder that my partner is way better than me at everything that I love, and that it is easy for him to do things that I can only imagine doing. From academics to social life. He has so many friends while I'm a loner, he's organised, productive, calm, trustworthy, and such a great leader (he is involved in so many societies and he is building a fuc*king satellite while still being a student ffs) and a wonderful public speaker (meanwhile I have to take anxiety pills before presenting something).
He pisses me off and I feel guilty because I know it is not his fault, and he never ever brags about his abilities - quite the contrary actually. He's always making sure that I know my worth, but I cannot believe him when he says he is proud of my achievements because they are nothing compared to his.
I find my course hard, and when I'm trying to study I tend to stress and cry a lot because I find it hard to understand what I'm studying. He's always willing to help me (and he does) but instead of feeling grateful, I get even more frustrated. I start wondering: would I be able to get a high mark without his help? Why are these things so easy for him while I need to cry 6 times before understanding? How can he remember this topic so well and explain it better than my professor, if he took the exam a long time ago? I stop remembering what I've studied right after the exam ffs! And the worst thing is when he sees me struggling with an assignment, and he starts explaining to me how to do it even if he never studied that module before!
It is so frustrating to see that he's better than me even at things I studied and he didn't. When it happens, I get pissed off at him and I tend to stop speaking to him, and I feel guilty because he truly does not deserve it - but I can't stop myself from feeling so bad and angry.
I'm writing this post today because we both applied to the same Masters course at the same competitive university, he got in and I was rejected. I was so convinced I was gonna get accepted so this really surprised me, and angered me.
I was thinking to start new hobbies that he is not interested on, so that I can have my thing that he does not know how to do. But if I do this, I know I won't speak to him about my hobbies and I will eventually stop sharing what I do. Because I know, deep down, that if he tried he'd be better than me without any effort. And that would make me even more miserable.
Any advice or similar stories would help me very much. I do not know how to speak to him about this, it would make me so vulnerable.

A very specific map.
I'm hoping one of you can help me find it.
Hi everyone, I live in Yosemite. I've lived here for the last nearly-seven years. My first summer, my manager gifted me with a National Geographic Trails Illustrated map of the whole Park, when I made it clear I wanted to hike all the time and see everything there is to see. This map has been one of my dearest companions throughout my life here. I take it on (nearly) every hike, backpack, or climb I do, and I record the date on it when I visit a new place.
Seven years is...a lot of use when you go hiking nearly every weekend, Spring-Fall, and some weekends in winter. It gets shoved into and ripped out of my pack all the time, from pulling it out on the trail to figure out where I want to go from a junction or at camp to identify the sights around me, to scouring it during a lull in the action at work to plan my next excursion.
I have loved this map nearly to death. It has been incredibly durable but the corners have worn through; the folds have begun to rip. I have resisted this truth for some time, but I'm afraid I must retire my beloved map.
So I need a new one.
HOWEVER, I am not satisfied with any old map. I want the exact same map. The EXACT same. I cannot buy this map in the Park; and I have scoured the internet and cannot find it available online.
It is the National Geographic Trails Illustrated map published in 2009. It is the previous edition of the map; the one everywhere is currently selling is the 2019 edition.
Why? Two reasons. One, because the cantankerous old coots corrupted me and I want a map with the "correct" names (e.g. Curry Village), and the current edition has the "temporary/incorrect" names (e.g. The Majestic Yosemite Hotel). Two, the current edition of the map does not display a color differentiation for the 9,600' line, above which fires are prohibited. I think the map looks better with this coloration, and the current edition just looks too green and flat. It's a weird distinction, I know. But I look at maps a lot at work and I always gravitate to mine, and when I tried to analyze it, it came down to the fact I liked the color better--it looks more dynamic.
SO. I have looked all over online for a used 2009 edition and come up empty. Is there ANY chance at all that one of you may have come to Yosemite prior to 2017, purchased the Nat Geo Trails Illustrated full Park map, looked at it twice, and threw it into your map drawer when you got home from your trip, never to be touched again? I would happily pay you for it. Ideally I'd like for it to look practically new, but a slight crease here or there won't break the deal. Bonus points if it was purchased in 2016.
I assure you it will be very thoroughly used and dearly loved and cherished.

I just had a thought about the demo showing the tutorial island. I wonder if the demo was doing it backwards, since apparently that game file had already done it.
When we see the stambulb and the ranger and the cooking pot, I bet you're suppose to FIRST come to this side of the lake, and the ranger teaches you about stambulb cooking so you have enough stamina to swim across the lake to the other side.
Once across, THEN you can make a craft to get back if you want (and maybe you don't have Ultra hand yet, but will get it on this side of the lake.)
And then maybe from there you go on to learn fuse and how to fight. Does that fit with what we see. Did he go about the island backwards?
Speaking of this being tutorial island, I wonder, can we leave mid tutorial? You don't need a paraglider to leave, as he didn't use one...just landed in a river. Yet I wouldn't hold it past Zelda devs to make it so if you don't have a paraglider when you fall, Link screams "AAAAAAH!!!" and all fades out to white and you wake up back on the edge of the island. Just a prediction...

Look, I get it. We haven't been through a rebuild recently so the fanbase isn't really used to practicing patience. But I am getting thoroughly exhausted by the doomer mentality I have been seeing more of on this sub lately.
We have one of the better basketball players in the world right now in Haliburton and nearly everyone who is better is somewhere between five and fifteen years older than him. The mindset that this team is doomed because you can't imagine putting a contender around him within the next couple of years is short-sighted. He is an efficient playmaker who relies almost entirely on skill and basketball IQ to succeed. He feasibly could continue to play at an all-star level (or even better with some improvement) for 10+ years since his game does not rely on athleticism at all. And with the way that he plays, it's going to be way easier for guys to come in and thrive since they will be spoonfed good offensive opportunities.
We had the #6 pick in the draft this past year. With that selection, we got a guy who has been one of the top 6 rookies and has a ton of untapped upside to boot. Turning on Mathurin for not ironing out all of his issues within one season or only being historically good for part of the season is just being unrealistic with their expectations for a young player. He is ahead of schedule, 20 year olds are supposed to have ups and downs. No, he's not Michael Jordan, but he's still pretty fucking good. We will have another chance to add a prospect of his caliber in the draft, and I hope everyone will do their best to be patient with him and not panic if he's merely a great rookie and not the immediate savior of our franchise.
Second round picks are largely a crapshoot but we added a really promising young player in Nembhard. And when we did so, we signed him to the longest and largest guaranteed contract for a second round pick in NBA history. So not only did we get a legitimate NBA piece in the second round, something that is much easier said than done, we called our shot when we did it too. This tells me that our front office has a pretty good grip on evaluating young players and how they will fit on our team. It's looking like we are going to have two late firsts and one early second in this year's draft, which means that we will have three more cracks at adding quality players to our young team.
Basically, some of you guys need to relax. We started rebuilding 14 months ago and in that time, added a 23 year-old who is already an all-star, a rookie who might be first team All-Rookie, a rookie who might be second team All-Rookie and an improving 23 year-old wing in Nesmith who looks like he can be a solid piece moving forward. The future is bright, but more importantly, the future is far away so there is no need getting bent out of shape about all of our immediate problems because we have plenty of time to address them.

I have already gone through an extensive series of bidding process (mostly trane or carrier). While I feel like I am pretty knowledgeable I am still unsure which way to go. Here is my senario

• we moved here about 6 months ago
• 2700 sq ft single level home in Central Florida.
• existing HVAC is 12 seer 5 ton single stage heat pump with indoor handler
• we are trying to do something soon before the summer
• Currently using an ecobee premium thermostat

I am debating the merits of 2 stage vs a fancier inverter system. Trane 2 Stage is $9000 to $11000 depending on the seer rating. This would reuse my ecobee thermostat.
If I go with the trane inverter, it is $13000 - $15000. Obviously this would require a new thermostat (frustrated that there is no HomeKit support - though one installer "claimed" it was coming soon).
There is a lot to factor in on all of this. And some of it bring uncertainty. If anyone can weigh in on any of the following questions, it would be greatly appreciated.
For the point of these questions, let's assume that the work is done properly all done by the same company. That is to say that it is a comparison of equipment alone.

1. How much does a minor seer difference really become valuable or noticeable? For example 16 vs 17 seer on the 2 stage is a $500 really matter? Or 18 to 19.5 seer on the inverter for $1100? IS that minor efficiency change have much if any return on investment?
2. As humidity is a big deal, what kind of better performance improvement difference is between the 2 stage vs variable inverter systems? One of my concerns is there is a lot more that could go wrong on the higher end. But I am not an expert in this field. I do know that better humidity control should reduce the need for lower temperature level to feel the same.
3. For trane, is there a difference between the air handler of the TEM8 vs TAM9? I can upgrade to the later for $500 more.
4. Finally, if price is more or less the same, am I better off going for the comparable carrier infinity system?

So I'm a t-mobile user considering switching to Verizon for my mobile. In my office building, T-Mobile can't seem to reach my desk, which is a pain for staying well connected with the family while at work. (There is no office Wifi to make use of.)
Because I was curious to see if Verizon would have a better time reaching my desk, I've started the Verizon 30 day trial. The good news is that calls and texts work well from my office - so coverage is better. What is odd is that whenever I do speed tests (while on cellular) I seem to only get somewhere between 5-10 Mbps. My understanding is that the trial should come with some amount of GBs of priority data, so I don't think it's an issue of being de-prioritized.
As for location, I'm in between D.C. and Baltimore, in a very built up area. Would you all say my speeds are expected, or is there some further digging into it? It does seem like for where T-mobile can reach (i.e. most places except deep inside buildings), T-mobile seems to win on speed.
