2023.03.21 12:27 RedEagle_MGN For those seeking to make an Android game dev team, here are some things I've learned
I built a game dev team that's flourishing and I started on
INAT but the challenge was immense.
It's really common for people starting a game project to struggle to get the help they feel they need to make the game a reality. They are often stuck between a rock and a hard place -- not having the funds to pay people up front and not having all the skills needed to make a game solo.
I've been there, but more than ever I found my way out, and I thought I would reach back and see if I can help some others. I built a team starting on
INAT here that has grown to 35+ daily active developers with every talent needed to make a solid title. We meet every single day in three different time zones and the team dynamic is extremely positive. 75% of people on the team have a degree in their field.
This article was written for inat but I thought I would share here. 1. Don't take no for an answer
There's going to be a lot of people who push you down, and many of them are just trying to avoid this industry being taken over by “idea people.” However, if you have leadership talent and no coding skills, this industry actually needs you and it is possible.
2. It's going to take hard work
If you're not bringing any skills to the table, you probably shouldn't be doing this. However, if you're a natural-born leader and if you're ready to put in hard work every single day and be really humble about the advice you get from other people, you do have the opportunity to make it happen nonetheless.
3. Humility is important
Knowing that you need mentorship is critical to your success. You don't want to make all the mistakes the hard way. There have been people that have been down this road and who can make your life a lot easier, and you can find people like that on
gamedev.
This whole industry is surprisingly generous, but nobody likes somebody with a big ego who can't take any advice.
4. Be positive about your worst people
About 80% of the people who join these sorts of Reddits would like to have the feeling of making games without putting in the real tough, long, enduring work. They constantly join new projects because they love the feeling of joining new things, but they don't have what it takes to finish.
You're probably going to start by begging kids that are barely out of high school to help you out. Be grateful for what you get. If you're not bringing money to the table honestly, you shouldn't expect anything.
I was able to slowly raise the average age and capability of my team by cherishing those who I got at the low level. I knew they were going to quit in 3 weeks, and so I wrote standard operating procedure documents which made it so that once they dropped the ball, I could find somebody else to pick it up, and it wouldn't be a big deal.
5. Culture is everything
A few years ago, a comprehensive study was put together to correlate factors with a game's success and failure.
Here is what they found:
https://i.imgur.com/okKs9mo.png Vision and culture made the most difference out of any factor they studied. It matters more than production methodology, extra work hours, and all other factors.
If you're going to build a team, you need to set the standard. Think about the impact you want to have in the world and focus your team on that. Don't allow serious deviation from your culture, and double down on your culture.
I had great success by focusing very heavily on a people-first culture. It also has zero tolerance for anything less than professional behavior.
6. No sacred cows
People who violate your culture and who are complaining and putting other people down need to be removed before they cause issues. The best way to deal with this is to have such a culture that you don't attract the people in the first place.
However, if you have to deal with these kinds of people, have the procedures already set in place, so it doesn't seem like it's arbitrary or personal.
7. A big idea, a small footprint
Great games are not great because they are 3D or AAA or any of that. However, if you pitch some very small scale game which you know is realistic, you're also going to get a lot less people that are interested.
This forced me to scope up my ideas very significantly, but I regret that mistake. What you must do is think about a massive-impact idea that does not require much effort.
This is extremely difficult.
8. Live events are the lifeblood of your community
Getting together on a regular basis is essential to help people get out of the mentality that somebody else is going to make this game. Meeting on a regular basis and working together live is critical to your success. Do this regularly.
Every Monday, I have a live event where we all come together, and we delegate tasks to everybody on the team. If we didn't have that live event, nobody would actually step up to take those tough leadership roles that we need to elect people to every single week. However, people feel the burden of responsibility when they're together live that somebody's got to do it, and it's probably got to be them.
9. Let birds fly
When people leave your team to join other projects, rather than being sad about it, encourage them and celebrate it, and they'll remember you and they'll help you out in the future. Don't hold on to people, you're not doing them a service that way.
10. Age is everything
I have recruited more than a thousand people to the team in order to focus in on those who make a difference. The correlation with age and success is incredible, if you get people 30+ you are building a proper team.
11. Don’t promise money
You need to get in touch with a lawyer and set up an agreement right away because you don't want to sort this out afterward. That said, I personally lean away from making any promises of compensation because in my experience the game's business is incredibly hits-driven and you never know which one makes it and which one doesn't.
It's tough to motivate people to cross the entire Mount Everest of making a game purely on money. I've decided to avoid it but your best to set up a basic revenue split agreement if you need it.
Make a legal agreement but don’t make sky-high promises.
Conclusion
Get mentorship, work hard, build a positive-focused community and don’t speak about money.
Leaders needed
If, rather than recruiting a team, you would like to play a production role in an already established team, visit: Be aware, we don't have traditional managers, rather, we have servant leaders. Expect to lift people up from the bottom.

2023.03.21 12:27 autotldr Japanese leader arrives in Kyiv as China's Xi visits Russia
This is the best tl;dr I could make,
original reduced by 81%. (I'm a bot)
KYIV, Ukraine - Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida arrived in Kyiv for a surprise visit shortly after noon Tuesday, hours after Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in neighboring Russia for a three-day trip.
Footage shown on Japanese national broadcaster NHK showed Kishida walking on the platform of Kyiv Central Station, escorted by a few people who appeared to be Ukrainian officials.
ADVERTISEMENT. Kishida will "Show respect to the courage and patience of the Ukrainian people who are standing up to defend their homeland under President Zelenskyy's leadership, and show solidarity and unwavering support for Ukraine as head of Japan and chairman of G-7," during his visit to Ukraine, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said in announcing his trip to Kyiv.
Japanese public television channel NTV showed Kishida riding a train from Poland heading to Kyiv.
China looks to Russia as a source of oil and gas for its energy-hungry economy, and as a partner in standing up to what both see as U.S. aggression, domination of global affairs and unfair criticism of their human rights records.
Ukraine's military intelligence spokesman late on Monday said that Kyiv is not aware of any Chinese arms transfers to Russia so far.

2023.03.21 12:27 Snoo-54676 How is the game RN
hello. Ive been playing the game last year maybe even longer ago for a few weeks, It was behind in every aspect regarding the "competition" games I've played. So far I played mtg arena, legends of runterra and hearthstone online and yugioh irl for a few years competitve, so you could say I like card games.
Has the game come any closer with ui/ux with games? Any player who played one of the games above and can make a comparison? Is the game pay to win? Can you legit earn something decent (lets say 10€ per day) playing it or is it like most nft games where you need nft tokes with a price in the hundreds or even thousands before you get anything in return? Your opinion on the game in general?

2023.03.21 12:26 TriggerF1ingerItchin benzos for an as-needed basis
hey dudes,
Just currently overthinking some shit & have a question to get out there... I struggle with quite a few mental health disorders & have had some shit cards dealt in life & all the rest of it. I went to the hospital last week as I've been really struggling with chronic insomnia & panic attacks from the panic disorder & was given some steps to take & access to upcoming psychs & psychiatrists to see asap. The hospital sent me off a few days later with a prescription of 10 diazapams to take on an as needed basis (which has been working a dream) im not someone to abuse prescription meds so I'm being super sparing & only taking them when I really need them. I've been on many ssri & snri meds over the years & I'm currently on Seroquel atm. I'm wondering if the psychiatrist that I'm going to see will allow me to continue having a script of diazepam on me to take on an as needed basis alongside the anti-depressants/ anti-psych meds? realistically in 1 month id say 10 (just incase) diazapams would be more than enough & it's really working out quite well to have a main medication to cover daily stuff & the valium on hand just in case the panic gets really out of control. I feel like this could be something that would be really good to be able to continue as there wouldn't be any bad side affects from the long-term use of the diazapam (just when needed) & it'll help allot to keep stuff in check when the main med isn't slowing the panic? I honestly think it would be a lifesaver... is there someone who could give me some sort of advice or knowledge about this? & is this something that may be considered by the psychiatrist?
cheers guys.

2023.03.21 12:26 AnUnknownEarther "Haunted Voyage: The Curse of the SS Endurance"
The SS Endurance set sail on a two-week Caribbean cruise, promising passengers a luxurious and unforgettable experience. But what the passengers didn't know was that the ship had a dark and twisted history, and they were about to become a part of it.
As soon as they boarded the ship, strange things began to happen. Passengers reported hearing eerie whispers in the halls, feeling cold spots in their cabins, and seeing apparitions in the mirrors. But the crew dismissed these claims as nothing more than superstition.
As the ship sailed deeper into the Caribbean, the weather turned sour. Heavy fog and rain obscured the ship's path, making it impossible to see beyond a few feet. And then, the power went out, plunging the ship into darkness.
The passengers huddled in their cabins, hoping for the storm to pass. But it only got worse. The ship began to rock violently, and the passengers could hear loud banging noises coming from the lower decks.
They soon realized that they were not alone on the ship. Something was there with them, something sinister and malevolent. The passengers began to disappear one by one, leaving no trace behind.
The remaining passengers tried to contact the crew for help, but the ship's communication system was down. They were trapped on the ship with no way to escape.
As the days went by, the passengers' fear and paranoia grew. They could feel something watching them, lurking in the shadows. They could hear its breathing, its footsteps, its whispers.
And then, on the twelfth day of the cruise, the ship emerged from the fog. But what they saw was not the sunny beaches of the Caribbean, but a desolate and eerie island. The ship had been sailing in circles, going nowhere.
The passengers realized too late that the SS Endurance was cursed, and they were doomed to spend eternity trapped on the ship, with the malevolent presence that haunted it. The ship sailed on, its dark secrets and horrors hidden beneath the waves.

2023.03.21 12:26 mbouhda The curious case of Monke and the bogdanoff coin bubble.
Once upon a time, there was a mischievous monkey named Monke who thought he was the crypto king spending all his time scrolling through reddit, hoping to find the next hot tip that would make him rich.
Monke was convinced that he had finally found the perfect coin when he saw a post about a new project called BogdanoffCoin, he did some quick research and saw that the price had already started to rise, so he bought in at the peak of the pump, the price of BogdanoffCoin immediately began to drop, leaving Monke feeling more helpless than a monkey without a banana. He held onto his investment, hoping that it would turn around, but it only continued to plummet like a monkey falling out of a tree. He finally caved and decided to sell his coins at the bottom of the dump, but as soon as he sold, the price shot up, leaving him red-faced than a baboon's behind.
Months went by, and Monke continued to make terrible investment decisions, always buying at the top and selling at the bottom. But then, he stumbled upon a post about the infamous Bogdanoff brothers and their alleged impact on the crypto market. Monke was fascinated and started to dig deeper, learning about the brothers' reputation for market manipulation and pump-and-dump schemes, suddenly everything started to make sense. He realized that he had been caught in the middle of one of their schemes, buying in at the peak and selling at the bottom like a clueless chimp.
One day, he received an email that appeared to be from his exchange, warning him that there was suspicious activity on his account and asking him to click on a link to verify his identity. Not suspecting anything fishy, he clicked on the link and entered his login details. Before he knew it, his account had been drained of all his crypto bags. Monke was devastated, realizing that he had fallen for a classic scam that could have easily been avoided.
The constant stress of monitoring the market and making trades had taken a toll on him. He decided it was time to take a break from the market and focus on other areas of his life, like finding a girlfriend. He had never been successful in his love life, but he was hopeful that he could find someone on a dating app. He created a profile and started swiping. After a few weeks of chatting with different women, he finally found someone he clicked with. Her name was Chimpette, and they hit it off right away. For months, Monke and Chimpette texted back and forth, sharing their interests, life stories and sending each other selfies, showing off their best monkey faces and posing with bananas like they were top models. Monke felt like he had finally found the connection he had been searching for, he was even considering meeting her in person. But then one day, Chimpette asked Monke for a favor, she needed some money urgently, and Monke was the only one she could turn to. Monke was hesitant, but he didn't want to let her down, so he asked how much she needed. To his surprise, Chimpette asked for some Bitcoin. She said she was having some trouble with her bank account and needed the Bitcoin to pay her bills. Monke was suspicious but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and sent her the Bitcoin.
Days turned into weeks, and Monke never heard from Chimpette again. He tried to reach out to her, but her phone number and profile were no longer active, he realized that he had been romance scammed and lost a significant amount of money.
Monke had learned his lesson from all the bad investment decisions and lost money he had experienced, he realized that trying to time the market and being euphoric was a recipe for disaster, So he decided to buy Bitcoin and Ethereum and become a diamond hands gorilla. He knew they were well-established and had a solid track record, and he believed in their long-term potential. Despite the occasional dips and volatility, Monke held on tight, convinced that one day they will reach new heights. He was determined to hold onto his investments for eternity and beyond!
He also learned that by contributing to cryptocurrency subreddit with high-quality posts and comments, he could earn moons. Excited by the prospect of getting rich from moons, Monke got to work, neglecting the fact that this will cost him socializing with his friends, eating bananas, and even swinging from trees. He started commenting on every post he could find, posted hilarious comments, insightful comments, and even wrote a few articles, and it worked! His karma points soared, and soon he started receiving moons in his wallet.
As the years went by, Monke's strategy paid off, he was overjoyed, knowing that he had made the right decision. Looking back on his early mistakes, Monke couldn't help but laugh at his own stupidity. He realized that investing in crypto was not a get-rich-quick scheme, and that the key to success was patience, discipline, and a long-term approach...

2023.03.21 12:26 Yellowlegoman_00 “I assume I’m dead,” Harry replied. The figure seemed to grin, if grinning was possible without features. “Yes, you are. Does that not scare you?”
In a cupboard under the stairs, a boy of seven or eight lay stiff. The heating had gone off at Number Four Privet Drive, and while Vernon, Petunia and Dudley Dursley all had space heaters, no such care had been taken to accommodate little Harry Potter. Little Harry had shivered in the cold and the dark until he could shiver no more, and so it was that little Harry died, alone, afraid and frozen.
Reality though, is far more complicated and complex than you, dear reader, could possibly comprehend, and so in spite of his demise little Harry found himself on a dark bridge in a grey sky surrounded by grey people. Grey but translucent. The grey people hurried over the bridge. And in the centre of the mass of grey bodies stood a figure. A dark figure. Not evil, no, simply a large mass of black in a human shape, and the black figure gazed down at Harry with a featureless face of black.
“Hello Harry Potter.” It spoke with a grating voice, a voice both far away and everywhere.
“Hello,” Harry replied, looking around at the many grey people that hurried past.
“Do you know why you are here, Harry Potter?”
“I assume I’m dead,” Harry replied.
The figure seemed to grin, if grinning was possible without features. “Yes, you are. Does that not scare you?”
Harry shrugged. “The other children are scared to die, grownups too. But the other children all have mummies and daddies and brothers and sisters and friends who they’re scared of not seeing again. I don’t know anybody I like enough to want to see again.”
“But what about the experiences you can’t have when you're dead?”
Harry shrugged for a second time. “I don’t think I’d have had any of those until I grew up and left the Dursleys’ even if I were still alive, and that’s too far away to imagine.”
The figure laughed. “You, child, are interesting.”
“Thanks,” Harry grinned. “Nobody’s ever called me interesting before.”
“So, child, what would you do now if I told you that you were not in fact dead?”
Harry thought about it for a moment. “Well, I suppose I’ll wake up and life will carry on. Uncle Petunia will give me chores, Uncle Vernon will go to work and Dudley will play in the snow. At least I’ll have an interesting memory to think about while mopping.”
“Memory? Will you not wake up and think this but a dream?”
It doesn’t really matter to me,” Harry replied. “All my good memories happen in my dreams.”

2023.03.21 12:26 CharmingCatalyst 24M - bored and looking to [chat] [friendship]
Hey there folks. Just your average Midwestern guy who’s looking for friends. You can call me Terry. Hopefully my post is a bit of an eye-catcher. Now that the basics are out the way, here’s where I try to sell myself to you all as a fantastic person lol
Here’s some things about me:
I’m a bit on the tan side but I’m African American Long float dreadlocks that past my waist. I’ve had them for 10 years at this point. I’m told that my laugh is pretty goofy but contagious. I’m the friend that tells funny jokes but also can barely get the joke out because I can’t stop laughing. I’m also the friend with the laugh that’s funnier than the joke lol
I’m a CanceINFJ-T if you're into that sort of thing. If I’m being honest,I’m introverted and can sometimes be a bit shy, but it’s hard to get me to shut up when I warm up to someone. I’ll nerd out and all lol I do suffer from anxiety but it’s a lot better than it used to be. If I were to describe some of my biggest traits,I’d say that I’m pretty caring and compassionate. I’m also really goofy and dorky. My Hogwarts House is Gryffindor.
I’m pretty versatile and my taste/hobbies vary. I enjoy gaming and play pretty much everything. My main platform is PS5 but I recently built my first gaming pc, and I slowly but surely want to move towards that being my main platform. I also have a Xbox Series S. All I need is a Switch and I’d literally be able game without anyone no matter the platform lol
I also stream on twitch sometimes and I’ve been told that my streams are pretty funny
I’m an artsy fart, I enjoy writing and poetry, and just playing with words in general
I also like drawing and am self taught. I took a VERY long hiatus but I’ve been pretty motivated to get back into the grind lol I even would like to try my hand at digital artwork
I’ve been into anime and manga since I was a little kid. I’m always looking for new ones to watch/read. I also love collecting manga and other merch like figurines and replicas.
I recently got into working out last year and slowly started to love it as a hobby. Life happened and I took a hiatus because I’d be so exhausted from my previous job, but I’ve recently started making it a consistent habit again
I’m into all genres of music. My playlist can go from J Cole to Disturbed,to Prince, to Rihanna, to anime openings/video game osts lol
I’m super into science fiction. Some of my favorite genres are fantasy, medieval fantasy, cyberpunk, and steampunk
Games that I’m into in no particular order:
Jak and Daxter,Sly Cooper,Ratchet & Clank, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Yakuza/Judgement, Tekken,King Of Fighters,Resident Evil, Bloodstained, Guilty Gear, Devil May Cry,Bayonetta, God Of War, Nier Automata, Gravity Rush, Cyberpunk (Post Launch lol), Deus Ex, Dishonored, Bioshock, Tomb Raider,Elden Ring, Dark Souls,Rainbow Six Siege,Dragon Age,Mass Effect,Chivalry 2,Divinity Original Sin 2, all to name a few.
Anime that I’m into:
Attack On Titan, Onepiece, Naruto, Haikyuu, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Jujutsu Kaisen, Black Clover, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Code Geass, Bleach, Afro Samurai, Ranma ½, Kill La Kill, One Punch Man, Overly Cautious Hero, HighSchool Of The Dead, Soul Eater
Shows that I’m into:
The Boondocks,Game Of Thrones, House Of The Dragon, Stranger Things, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Family Matters,Martin, Fresh Prince, Avatar TLAB, The Big Bang Theory, Arcane, The Boys, Invincible
So thanks for reading my post and I hope to hear from you soon. You can send me a chat request if you like. I also have discord. So we could also move our conversations there if you’d prefer.

2023.03.21 12:26 KittyGirlNYC Resources for navigating healthy Triad, Quad, etc relationships?
My partners and I recently formalized our close friendship in to a closed triad after realizing we very naturally (and healthily - based on our research) had evolved our relationship into a very close three-person partnership where over time we all have developed romantic/sexual feelings for each other. We don’t particularly identify as traditionally poly because we aren’t interested in expanding our polycule and ENM relationships are new to us (but something we are all open too with each other- just not anyone else). We keep seeing/hearing about other “organic” polycules but haven’t found any resources to be helpful for navigating this new-to-us type of relationship and lifestyle.
Are there any communities or resources specific to “organic” triads, quads, etc. that we could look to for advice?
Or any folks who have been in longterm multi-person committed relationships who would like to share advice on keeping things healthy, building communication, navigating group/individual sex, cohabitation experiences, navigating non traditional family challenges etc.?

2023.03.21 12:26 slushpuppyyyzzz losing touch of reality and being fed up with close people in your life
so lately I’ve been in an identity crisis and my tolerance for dealing with people has been so low. for example, i work in the restaurant industry as a host and it gets pretty busy at the location. anywho i get a lot of rude customers and self seaters but the mean people over time took a toll on me. i try to not let them affect me but over time it’s such a sickening cycle. people just be waking up mad af in the mornings and for what? this has led to me coming from work mentally and physically exhausted. then I come home to my parents yelling at me for the most little things which is absurd. i can’t even eat a small meal in peace. also been getting sick of my friends situation. there’s always in the need for a boys attention. they want to post things so their flings could see. they go back to a dead situation. the boys put no effort and yet my friends still miss or want them. hanging with them and just hearing this all over again makes me tired. because I’m sick of telling them that they need to do better and learn how to move on. why stay with a shitty man who doesn’t give 2 fucks about you? enough of that though. my identity crisis is rooting from my everyday life. I don’t know how to explain it but I just feel blank atm.
Would like some advice on how to improve or get rooted back into myself? or what to do on my days off so I can bring back some tranquility into my life.

2023.03.21 12:26 zaphodbeeblemox Just posted my first story hook to my players for hunter 5E and thought you would all enjoy it!
Dated: roughly 3 weeks ago.
PRIORITY ALERT:
Hey lovelys Nervosa here, just received a weird post through the forums from one of our regular contributors, remember Ricky? Well he just posted on the message board last night.. some crazy theory about a little league coach being the coach for the last 60 years.
Normally I’d dismiss it but it’s Ricky.. I know I know he’s been a bit off the deep end since Marcus left him.. but look, it’s about his son.. apparently his sons footie coach has been the same guy the last few seasons.. not only that the team is exactly the same.. so Ricky went digging.
And he says that the team looks damn near identical to the team from 1920 to now.
Maybe it’s just small town inbreeding, who knows? But I’ve asked ricky for all the info he’s got and the evidence I’ll pass it on..
Anyway if any of you still have Ricky’s number might be worth reaching out.
Oh and just a PSA, whoever keeps leaving grenades in the warehouse please mark the box as “ORDNANCE” Jim was using the box to climb the racking yesterday not knowing the box was full of grenades. Thanks lovely’s.
-Nervosa out.

2023.03.21 12:26 that_quiet_girl256 The Purge- Part II
Part I-
https://www.reddit.com/Ruleshorrocomments/11xbt2l/the_purge_part_i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 You struggle to keep the violent thoughts away and turn on your TV. You look at the time. It's 6:57 pm. You take a deep breath and push the thoughts out of your head, concentrating on watching TV. Switching through channels, you find one you wanna watch. But not long after you start watching, the screen goes blank. You sigh out loud and put your head in your hands. You stay there, before being surprised by an anonymous voice on the TV.
"This is not a test. This is your emergency broadcast system, announcing the commencement of The Purge. Any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 continuous hours." You check the time. It's 6:59 pm. The announcement continues.
"Government officials ranked 10 have been granted immunity from the purge, and shall not be harmed. Police, fire, and emergency medical services will be unavailable until tomorrow at 7 am when the purge concludes. Commencing at the siren, may god be with you all." A siren starts playing on the TV, and you let that sink in. This is your chance. A chance to carry out your fantasies without consequences. You have an immediate urge to leave your house as the violent thoughts slowly start pouring into your brain. You check your phone and are immediately surprised. You see three options on the screen. Violent, playing safe, and doomed. You click on violent. The screen displays a set of rules.
So you chose violent, huh? Is it because you want to survive, or is this something you've been waiting to do? You chuckle to yourself before continuing to read.
Either way, here are some rules to ensure you do what you need to get done. 1. If you're outside, good. If you're inside your home or a building, what're you doing? Go out. 2. Don't hesitate. Don't trust. Don't take pity on anyone. 3. You don't have a lot of time. Don't spend way too much time on one victim. If it's taking way too long to catch/fight someone, move on. There are 8 billion people in the world. 4. It's best to gain someone's trust before attacking. One of the ways to do this is by telling them you'll take them to a "safe place". Your brain instantly starts thinking of targets. You look out of your window, and looking to the left, you see your neighbor locking their window and shutting the blinds. You smile to yourself, knowing what you're about to do.
You make your way into your kitchen and start to search for your knife. 2 minutes go by. 3 minutes. 5 minutes. You can't find it. In a fit of rage, you break one of the cabinet doors, and then you see it, behind a box of noodles. You pick it up and walk back to your front door.
You don't even bother reading the rest of your rules, knowing you won't need them. You leave the house before walking to your neighbor's house up to their door. Turning the doorknob, you chuckle at your foolishness to think it wouldn't be locked. You try to open it anyway, and when it doesn't budge, you call out to them.
"Hey! Open the door!" You hear muffled sobbing from inside the house.
"I've found a safe place for us to hide. Don't worry, I'll help you." submitted by

2023.03.21 12:26 lauroro_ A few questione about emacs
I was a long time neovim user, who switched to helix cause I was sick of things breaking, LSP always giving issues and stuff. Back in times I didn't used Emacs cause people were saying it had much more than the text editor, like a window manager, a web browser and so on, things that I really don't need. So, is it possible to install Emacs without these things? Also, is it true that Emacs is slow? I have read an article by someone who switched from neovim to Emacs saying that the biggest con is Emacs being slow. How slow?

2023.03.21 12:25 Gvanck19 what's my plan ?
Congratulations to everyone who was accepted 🙏❤ and wish you luck who still are waiting on your results .
This time I have decided to apply again as an international student.
I have my bachelors in BA in 2012 GPA 2.65. Having 8 years of experience in accounting and 2 teaching. Never got promotion due to company's business model. I have been dealing with operation tasks as well.
Plan to do GRE/Toelf.
Which universities should I consider ? Do I have a chance moving in finance ? How difficult it will be to get working visa in accounting field ?

2023.03.21 12:25 goneswimming21 Ovarian fossa
Finally had my follow up post-diagnostic surgery. Looks like most of the endo is in my right ovarian fossa, adjacent to the uterosacral ligament. Likely to have more undetected die but wont know until i have my excision surgery as its the lovely UK NHS so only seen by a general gyne so far. Its been a real fight & quite traumatic experience in all. Still processing but hopefully feel up to speaking about it in more detail in the near future. Just interested to hear about anyone else with endo located here? I hadnt heard about the fossa before.
