2023.04.01 13:08 TheGreatGimmick Ability Draft Compilation

Short Blurb Link Abilities Detailed Description
In-And-Out Stuns Link Time Walk / Slithreen Crush The Shard for Time Walk allows one to jump in, stun, then be sent back out. The low CD allows this to be spammed for humorous effect.
Absurd Lasso Range Link Time Walk / Flaming Lasso So long as the user doesn't teleport, other forms of movement will not break Flaming Lasso. With the Shard for Time Walk this can become absurd.
Talented Lasso Link Icarus Dive / Flaming Lasso So long as the user doesn't teleport, other forms of movement will not break Flaming Lasso. This can be silly with Icarus Dive, especially if you are Phoenix with the relevant Talent!
Fatal Infestation Link Arcane Orb / Astral Imprisonment / Essence Flux / Infest The Aghanim's Scepter upgrade for Infest uses your attack modifiers for its attacks, which can be abused with powerful modifiers like Arcane Orb. Being hidden also has incredible uptime between the Scepter upgrades for Infest and Astral Imprisonment.
Attack of the Scepter Link Chilling Touch / Tricks of the Trade / Shadow Realm / Infest With an Aghanim's Scepter, every attack from Tricks of the Trade and Infest is enhanced by Shadow Realm and/or Chilling Touch, among the other benefits as well. This is four upgrades for one item, and it shows!
Three Health Bars Link Vengeance Aura / Dismember With a Shard, Dismember can 'eat' an ally that has Rot running to damage enemies around you while keeping the ally safe. With a Scepter, your Vengeance Aura illusion can eat your ally again after you die! When the illusion dies, your ally can fight to the death too. Three health bars!
Melee Impetus Marksmanship Link Swashbuckle / Impetus / Marksmanship Swashbuckle applies modifiers to the simulated attacks, even ones that shouldn't do well on melee heroes like Impetus and Marksmanship. Just keep your distance with Swashbuckle instead!
Chilling Machine Gun Link Chilling Touch / Unleash Unleash can abuse attack modifiers like Scepter Chilling Touch by attacking extremely rapidly. This is further boosted by Ancient Apparition's relevant Talents.
One-Punch Link Enchant Totem / God's Rebuke Enchant Totem simply amplifies attack damage, which is different from - and stacks with - critical hits. This gets absurd with reliable crits like God's Rebuke. Here is another clip from the same game.
Maximum Zombies Link Tombstone / Song of the Siren Some effects still occur during Song of the Siren's sleep, including Tombstone spawning. With a Refresher you can Tomb, Song, Tomb, wait for the first Song to near its end, then Song again. This clip hit the max zombie cap of 64, sadly.
Global Chain Link Timberchain / Relocate This clip is funniest if unexpected, so see the explanation in the comments instead. Sorry!
Bomber Pirate Link Torrent / X-Mark / Blast Off / Proximity Mines This build is simply synergistic. X-Mark can be used to set up Torrents or recall the user after Blast Off. Blast Off can stun enemies to set up Torrent with Shard. Proximity Mines deal heavy damage while the enemy is debilitated. In this clip the user globally kills someone then returns to their Fountain.
Unkillable Rat Link X-Mark / Teleportation With Teleportation and X-mark, only a Eul's Scepter or extreme burst damage can stop the Mark from sending the user back to safety. Here a Meteor Hammer and heavy Cooldown Reduction are abused, with little recourse for the unprepared enemy.
Golem Army Link Vengeance Aura / Chaotic Offering With a Scepter, one's Vengeance Aura illusion may cast Chaotic Offering! If you are Warlock, you also create one on death. With a Refresher and Buyback, this created 10 Golems during a single fight!
Shotgun Sharpshooter Link Phantom Strike / Whirling Axes / Aftershock / Sharpshooter Blink in, charge Sharpshooter, use Whirling Axes halfway through, fire Sharpshooter at point-black range. The victim is stunned for the duration due to Aftershock!

2023.04.01 13:08 Charming_Ad1597 Flat footed kicking

I'm in Thailand I started Muay Thai for the first time two weeks ago - about 10 sessions in at this point. I'm at a tiny little gym in Bangkok that is run by 4 Thai trainers, some of whom are still active fighters.
One of the trainers singled me out a couple classes ago and tried to 'fix' my kicks (referring to roundhouse kicks to body), with the main issue being that I was kicking on the ball of my plant foot and pivoting. He absolutely insists that I should be virtually flat on my plant foot for balance/structure/defense as he explained it. This guy was so determined to teach me how to kick flat footed that he basically gave me a damn private lesson for free because it took me so long to get used to the new approach, and he's continued monitoring my progress since to make sure I've got it down. It was definitely wayyy more challenging on my hips and general mobility, but I finally have it down to a reasonable degree...
Now imagine my surprise when I come online and look into this more and find a million posts about how to properly kick, with virtually every single one of them saying you should generally be on the ball of your foot pivoting... it's better for your hips, more power, etc.. In fact, the only reference I could find to someone acknowledging kicking flat-footed was someone who posted the following video, highlighting the difference between the fighter on the left who is the epitome of ball of your foot/pivoting and the fighter on the left who is flat-footed (his technique does in fact match the one I'm being taught), and stating that either is viable (which obviously sounds controversial in light of all the other research I've done)...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3VgyUqPzko
I guess my question is, what the hell is going on here? Is there some history behind these techniques that people don't talk about? Is flat-footed some old traditional approach that got overtaken at some point? Should I be concerned about training at this gym? Obviously I would love to have this conversation with my trainers, but after all... language barrier.

2023.04.01 13:08 du-dx 90 days completed

Today is April 1st, so I've completed the first 90 days of this year (currently at day 94). This is the longest I've gone without pornography since I first got 'saved' 4 years ago, when I lasted about 4 months but then I fell back to my old habits. Last year I got 93 days ending on March 7th, which was a new record since that time, but at the 90 day mark I was not celebrating, just exhausted and wanting to watch pornography.
This time (hopefully because of God) I have easily completed January, February and March without desiring to watch pornography. I don't want to get too celebratory, because there is still a laundry list of things that is really wrong with me (like pornography was more of a cherry on top that put me into Sodom territory), but its still kind of nice to be like, hey I'm no longer addicted to pornography.

I wrote this in my last post, but I am going to include it again:

2023.04.01 13:08 ZydecoMoose Awesome Blossom Cooperative Game

Is this event different from past cooperative events/games? Is it still how fast you can tap the screen, regardless of where you tap? I started one round, but first my zoom in/out came on (I can't figure out how to turn that feature off) and then my phone switched apps and closed ACPC. But before all that happened, it didn't look like the last event that just required fast tapping. Has anyone played it yet?

2023.04.01 13:07 Heliumorchid [Discussion] Disproportionately Asymmetrical Relationships - Walk away if you find this one red flag

Disclaimer - What I'm about to share are my thoughts based on my own experiences from the past. I'm posting here to seek counter-opinions or reflections from those who may agree fully or partially. The purpose is for me to expand my own perspective on this, while also potentially enriching others' views on the matter.
So I've had a few unsuccessful relationships in the past, especially of late, where there was one particular pattern that made the relationship unsustainable in the long-term, despite the best intentions of both parties. That is asymmetry of one kind or another. Let me explain.
When I use the word "asymmetry" I am speaking very broadly about a range of phenomena. It could be something as fundamental as asymmetry in traits, or benign as asymmetry in interest, or something as frustrating as asymmetry in effort invested, or as potentially dangerous as asymmetry in ethics/values, power, standards, treatment or accountability. I'm sure there are more dimensions in which it is possible to observe asymmetry.
I'm listing some examples of asymmetry for clarity as to what I'm talking about:-
  1. Asymmetry in intelligence/maturity. One person being very intelligent or mature and the other person just not being there. Let's say they find each other very attractive for some reason. Despite that overwhelming attraction, this is eventually going to lead to frustrations in the long run. The mature person is going to feel not seen/heard and alone in that relationship and the not so mature person is going to either feel poor self-esteem in comparison or unable to relate to their more mature partner or feel like they're being dragged forward at a pace that is not comfortable for them.
  2. Asymmetry in effort. Anyone who puts an inordinate amount of effort into the relationship with someone who doesn't reciprocate is going to suffer eventually, even if initially they're happy to be that way. And the other person is going to grow dependent on the disproportionate efforts of their effortful partner. This isn't healthy for either of them.
  3. Asymmetry in ethics/values. Let's say one person is very good-hearted and empathetic and vicariously suffers at the sight of others suffering, they're not going to be able to enjoy the company of someone who values profit over ethics, regardless of how accepting they are. Their consensus over decision-making will suffer immensely.
  4. Asymmetry in powecontrol in the relationship. This is a relatively well-established red flag. One person makes all the decisions, and the other person doesn't get to even protest, let alone participate in the decision-making. Theoretically, if the follower was to have an inordinate amount of trust upon the leader in the relationship; and if the leader were to have inordinate amount of self-control and love towards their follower in the relationship, they could live harmoniously, just as a healthy parent and child can live harmoniously in a relationship that is asymmetrical in the dimension of powecontrol. But in the context of a romantic relationship, where mutual understanding and independence are valued, this can lead to the partners missing out on fundamental joys of a more symmetrical relationship.
  5. Asymmetry in treatment. This forays into the realm of outright toxic relationships. Let's say partner A is always kind and respectful to partner B even when they falter and is always happy to calmly explain the mistakes to partner B. And partner A is also happy to reflect on their own mistakes and change their ways. But let's say partner B simply explodes in anger at the slightest mistake made by partner A. And the prospect of partner A pointing out the mistakes of partner B would lead to more harm to partner A than simply letting it slide. This can lead to an abuser-abusee kind of a relationship in no time.
I'm sure there are more examples for what I'm talking about (asymmetry in sexual drive, lifestyle, mental health, past trauma etc), but this should suffice in bringing clarity about what I'm talking about.
In my observation there is no such thing as a relationship between two well-intentioned individuals where only one person suffers. If one partner suffers for whatever reason, the other partner is going to suffer for different reasons. You either suffer together or rejoice together. Even if it is an abusive relationship, where it may seem that the abuser is depleting the abusee for personal pleasure, the abusee merely staying in that relationship allows the abuser to grow deeper in their toxic tendencies with immunity. And someone being toxic towards others is always a consequence of their toxicity consuming them first and overflowing onto others. They temporarily rejoice at the presence of someone else to abuse only because they don't have to suffer their toxicity alone.
But even as I'm writing about the effect of asymmetry in long-term sustainable relationships, I am skeptical of a simplistic conclusion. As with anything, there are exceptions. There are individuals in long-term relationships with significant age gap where there is a natural asymmetry in maturity and lived experience. There are individuals in long-term sustainable relationships where one partner is significantly wealthier and savvy with money and the other person isn't. Perhaps the asymmetry could be disproportionate, as I've indicated in the title. But it could still be healthy because there may be another dimension in which the relationship is asymmetric that somehow counterbalances the other asymmetry. For example, let's combine the two asymmetries I've pointed to as the exception here - a lonely old man with a lot of wealth and no one to share it all with falls in love with a very young woman who is struggling to pay her bills. There is clearly asymmetry in experience and wealth, but it need not lead to asymmetry in treatment or maturity. Someone young could be just as self-aware and mature as someone much older. And perhaps the young woman appreciates the benefits of being with this wealthy man so much that she shows all her affection, gratitude through how well she takes care of him and the old man cherishes her company so much that he showers her with gifts and experiences that she could never even imagine having by herself. So it could turn into a symbiotic relationship where the asymmetry could lead to phenomenal benefits for either partner.
So perhaps there is a pattern to the healthy exceptions of the trend I initially observed regarding the effect of asymmetry. Maybe the key is to have symmetry across some fundamental dimensions, like values, treatment and maturity and the rest will be sorted to benefit both. I don't know. I don't have all the answers. Hence this post. What are your thoughts?

2023.04.01 13:07 pewdisaGOD Am I too late or is there still time?

I’m currently level 44 on my only character. I’ve been picking perks that were more so helping me in the moment while leveling up (picking melee perks low level because i had no ammo, etc.). My question is will i still be able to obtain a majority of base perks within a reasonable level or am i too late and have to start over because i also don’t know what build im leaning into.

2023.04.01 13:07 CAMO-PEN Help with Background option

Greetings all! I'm running into a dead end with the background choices for my next character and could use some input.
This will be my second character ever so I'm still a bit new to DnD.
I'm making a feral winged tiefling with a rangerouge multiclass. I've been working on the character for about 2 weeks with my friend who is also playing and running the ideas by our DM for approval.
I want to make a kind of dark brooding ranged assassin type character. But I can't seem to find a background option that really is a good match. I don't want to take a background that just gives me bonus that I like but does not make sense story wise. And to be honest none of them backgrounds I have seen seem to work.
Can I make my own background or I have to pick form the list?
Thanks for any input, ideas or help!

2023.04.01 13:07 RyanzRetroReviewz The Private Lives of Elizabeth & Essex - 1939 Film Review - RyanzRetroReviewz

The Private lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939)

The private lives of Elizabeth and Essex is a 1939 historical romance drama movie starring Erol Flynn (still riding high on his success from his most memorable of roles in "The Adventures of Robin Hood" just a few years earlier), Bette Davis (who wasn't all that fond of sharing top billing with Flynn, a glorified stuntman in her eyes), and Olivia de Havelland (fresh from the set of her most memorable work in "Gone with the Wind", and making this her fifth out of nine movies sharing co-starring credits with Flynn). Directed by master movie maker Micheal Curtiz (already known for his works on "Captain Blood" and "Angels with Dirty Faces", and later to be known for his larger than life movies such as "Casablanca" and "White Christmas"), stretching his legs with the new technicolor process of filming, and reuniting him yet again with his usual cast of star studded actors\actresses, to whom he had each given their big breaks on screen.
We start this movie off on a large and lavish note, with trumpets and fanfare welcoming home Robert Devereux the Earl of Essex (Flynn) from his victories at war with Spain. But the celebritory mood is cut short when Queen Elizabeth I (Davis), scorns and berates the Earl of Essex for his wreckless sinking of a Spanish treasure galleon, other than the capture of it. Essex then resigns himself from the Queen's service and retires back to his lands. Over the next chunk of the movie, we're taken into life at Elizabeth's court, and quickly come to learn that the Earl of Essex and the Queen are both secretly in love with each other, though none can come to submit themselves to the other publicly. We're introduced to the Lords of Elizabeth's privy council; Lord Raleigh (Vincent Price), Lord Burghley (Henry Stephenson), Sir Robert Cecil (Henry Daniell) and Sir Francis Bacon (Donald Crisp), who all plot and vie to replace Essex as favorite to the Queen. We also come to meet one of the Queen's ladies in waiting, Lady Penelope Gray (de Havilland), who also has a deep secret love for Essex, and will do anything to sour the relationship between the two. A high point of these scenes has Lady Penelope signing a ballad of an old maiden wishing she was still young and fair, which sends the Queen into an extreme fit of rage, breaking all the mirrors in her chamber (a truly great scene on Bette Davis' part).
A messenger soon comes stumbling in from Ireland telling the Queen of their losses to the native forces. This causes Elizabeth to send out a new force to Ireland, as well as giving her a reason to call in Essex and make him master of the city's defences, should they face and invasion. But the Lord's of the privy council all too easily goad the Earl of Essex into volunteering to lead the attack force to Ireland himself, with the Queen's own objection's meaning naught to him.
This then leads us to the bog land battlegrounds of the good old "Emerald Isle" (Ireland for those of you who don't know), smack dab in the middle of the "Nine Years War" (1593-1603), where Essex's men have now been suffering heavy losses due to lack of reinforcements and supplies from the Crown, and only scant letters of reply from the Queen; none of them directly addressing the situation at hand. Essex is furious.
Back in England, Elizabeth is also furious, apparently having being given little to no word from Essex on the situation in Ireland. We now learn that her conniving Lord's and jealous Lady in waiting have all been aiding each other in the omission of certain letters to and from the Queen, in order to ruin the Earl of Essex in her eyes.
Meanwhile in Ireland, Essex finally surrenders to the leader of the rebel Irish army, Hugh O'Neill (Alan Hale, Sr.), when the last of their supply camp is burned out. This, on top of a now angry letter from Elizabeth demanding that he "surrender" himself to the court for treason, sends the Earl into a state of rage. He soon leads his army back to England and storms the court of the Queen, but Elizabeth easily tricks him into standing down his army then having has him arrested and sent to the Tower of London, to Essex's shock and dismay. Lady Pennelope then tearfully admits her crimes to her Queen in hopes of saving the Earl of Essex's life, though this is to no avail.
The final scene of the movie has the two lovers face to face one last time, with Elizabeth begging Essex yet again for his public submission, to which he boldly denies, then marches head held high straight to the executioners block, bringing to us one final look at Queen Elizabeth I, as we pan out and bring up the end credits to this tale (a final scene in which we actually see Flynn on the chopping block was apparently cut after early test previews).
To sum it all up in so many words, "The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex" is a fantastically crafted piece of retro cinema, packed full of great quality acting from both our leads and supporting cast, amazingly epic scale sets and costuming effects, elevated by the grand quality symphony score laid down by Eric Wolfgang Korngold, and shot beautifully by Cinematograher Sol Polito, with this being one of the earliest full length live actions movies ever released in color on the big screen. All this is rounded together by director Michael Curtiz, further cementing and solidifying his name in the annals of Hollywood forevermore, hopefully.
And that's all she wrote folks.
Thanks for reading.

2023.04.01 13:06 MrBuckBuck (Extra Kispert) Fun facts & stats from the Wizards' 109-116 L the Orlando Magic

FINALLY, REDDIT FIXED THE BUG THAT PREVENTED ME LETS ME FROM UPDATING MY DRAFT POSTS (I had to use other methods that were way less comfortable)!
A song for the current mood - my favorite rap song!
Teams:
  1. The Wizards are now on a 34-43. The Wizards fell to 3 games behind the Bulls now, as the Bulls won 121-91 the Hornets (37-40 records). The Bulls remain in the 10th seed & the Wizards are in the 11th seed. If the Wizards lose the next game & the Bulls win, the Wizards will be officially out of the play-in tournament & therefore the playoffs. Why? There are currently 5 games left to the season, and if the Bulls win & the Wizards lose, the gap goes up to 4 games. BUT, the Wizards & the Bulls record is 2-2 tie during the regular season , and according to rules since none of the teams are even close to lead their division, we go by the Conference record, and the Bulls have a significantly better conference record of 26-23 vs. 20-28 by the Wizards - a gap the Wizards cannot close.
  2. The Wizards are currently 18-20 at home games & 16-23 at road games.
  3. The Wizards are now 18-22 in the year 2023 (17W & 22 L) - from 16-21 to 34-43.
  4. The Wizards are now 6-13 since the All-Star break.
  5. The Wizards are now 5-9 without Kyle Kuzma.
  6. The Wizards are now 13-17 since the trade with Rui Hachimura (12 W & 17 L). Before the trade, the Wizards were 17-13 (17 W & 13 L) with him (in games he played), and 3-13 (3 W & 13 L) in games he wasn't playing.Overall, the Wizards were a 20-26 record before this trade.
  7. The season series between the two teams ended up in a 2-2 tie. The Wizards won the first two & lost the last two - both teams won home & away game against each other this season.
  8. The Wizards lost 6 out of their last 8 games, and 9 losses out of their last 12 games.
  9. The Magic won the Wizards in 2 straight games, after losing the previous 7 games to the Wizards.
  10. It was the 135th regular-season meeting between the Washington Wizards & the Orlando Magic (102 as the Washington Wizards & 33 as the Washington Bullets).
  11. The historical head-to-head matchup during the regular season - Washington Wizards vs. the Orlando Magic: 60-74 to the Orlando Magic.
  12. The Magic won 4 out of their last 5 games & 5 out of their last 7 games.
  13. The Wizards were 0/10 from 3 in the 4th quarter until Corey Kispert made his only field goal attempt in the 4th quarter (1/1 from 3PT), with his 9th 3-pointer of the game.
  14. None of the Wizards players went to the free throw line more than 3 times tonight.
  15. The Wizards were 10/12 (83.3%) from the free throw line, whereas the Magic went there 26 times & made 20 of them (76.9%) - they actually made more free throws than what the Wizards attempted.
  16. All but 2 players in Orlando had at least a single block tonight - Gary Harris, Markelle Fultz, Goga Bitadze & Cole Anthony had 2 blocks each, Wendell Carter Jr., Jalen Suggs & Franz Wagner had 1 block each, and Paolo Banchero led with 3 blocks. Only Caleb Houstan & Moritz Wagner didn't have a single block tonight on their part.
  17. The Orlando Magic had a season-high of 14 blocks tonight. Until then, they had 10 blocks 3 times (once again the Wizards). That's the most blocks they had in a single game since November 3rd, 2010 - 128-86 W over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
  18. The Victims list: Deni Avdija, Daniel Gafford & Johnny Davis got blocked 3 times each, Anthony gill got blocked twice. Wright, Goodwin & Kispert got blocked once each. The Block list & videos.
  19. The Wizards attempted 50 3-pointers tonight - that's the most they tried this season in a single game (they had 46 3PA on Noverber 18th, 2022 - in the 107-106 W over the Heat)
  20. The Wizards attempted 105 field goals attempts - that's more 17 field goal attempts than the MAgic had tonight (88).
  21. The Wizards also made 3 fewer field goals despite taking so many shots. The Magic made 44 field goals out of 88 attempts (50%)
  22. The Wizards were 39.0% from the field tonight (41/105) - that's their 4th worst this season & the 5th time overall this season. It's also the 5th worst FG% a team shot vs. the Magic this season.
  23. It's the 2nd time this season the Wizards end a game with a result 109-116 - both of them (including tonight) were losses. The last one was 109-116 L to the Toronto Raptors on March 4th, 2023.
  24. The Wizards had 96 points in the first 3 quarters, but scored only 13 points in the 4th vs. 31 points by the Magic.
  25. The Orlando Magic had a 2-0 lead in the 1st quarter & since then the Wizards held the lead, the score was tied once in the 4th since that 2-0. Cole Anthony made it 105-103, with 5:51 remaining the 4th quarter & the Wizards never returned since.
  26. None of the Wizards played scored more than 4 points in the 4th quarter, which was belonged to Delon Wright.
  27. It's the first time since January 25th, 2023, that the Wizards shot below 40% from the field, since the 108-103 W over the Rockets.
  28. The Magic dominated the Wizards in the paint, with 58 points in the paint vs. 42 points in the paint by the Wizards.
  29. The Wizards dominated the 2nd chance points, with what seems as a season-high of 28 2nd chance points vs. 11 2nd chance points by the Magic.
  30. The Wizards dominated the fastbreak points with 19 fastbreak points vs. just 8 fastbreak points by the Magic.
Players:
  1. Bradley Beal missed his 27th game of the season after reaching his 50th game of the season - missing his 5th game straight. Kyle Kuzma missed his 13th game of the season, including 12 out of his last 25 games - missing his 6th straight. Both players missed together 5 consecutive games after tonight. Kristaps Porzingis missed his 12th game of the season, 3rd time due to Non-Covid Illness.
  2. It's the first time this season that none of the trio, KP, Kuzma & Beal played tonight - all of them were out in the same game, for the first time this season.
  3. Daniel Gafford returned after missing a single game, which was his 3rd missed game overall this season.
  4. Deni Avdija became the Wizards' player with the most games, missing only 2 games this season. Daniel Gafford was tied for 2nd with him until he got injured & didn't play the previous game. If Deni keeps on playing all the remaining games, he'll finish as the Wizards' Iron Man for the 2nd straight season, playing the most games among all Wizards players. Not only that, it will be his 2nd straight season with 80 games or more (didn't miss a single game this season). Deni Avdija has yet to miss a game in the year 2023.
  5. Corey Kispert has yet to miss a single game since his absence in the first 8 games due to a groin injury, he is the Wizards' player with the most consecutive games played without missing a single game - 69 (nice!) games after tonight's game!
  6. Delon started for the 12th time this season out of 47 GP (including tonight).Corey Kispert was in the starting lineup for the 40th time this season, while Deni Avdija had his 39th.
  7. It's the first time that Monte Morris, Delon Wright, Corey Kispert & Deni Avdija are all together in the starting lineup. It's the 3rd time (in 3 straight games as well) that Delon Wright, Corey Kispert & Deni Avdija are in the starting lineup, together!
  8. Monte Morris didn't return for the 2nd half, and it was the first time Johnny Davis started the 2nd half!
  9. The Wizards are currently 6-6 - 6 wins & 6 losses when Delon Wright is in the starting lineup.
  10. Paolo Banchero calls an inbound timeout in mid-air! LOL!

  15. That's the 3rd time this month that Corey Kispert ties his career-high or breaking it (he broke it twice). He had a career-high of 26 points a week ago, on March 24, 2023, in the 136-124 W over the Spurs. 42. Johnny Davis played for 10 straight games - a career-high.
  43. Johnny Davis had a career-high of 10 3-point attempts, doubling his previous record of 5 3-point attempts. Funny enough, his 5 3-point attempts game was in the last game vs. the Celtics, which he was 1/5 from 3 (20%), like tonight - 2/10 (20%).
  44. Out of 69 GP this season by Kispert, he was 0% from 3PT only 6 times, & 15 times between 0% to 20%, 8 times shooting 33% from 3PT out of 17 games shooting between 20%+ to 40% Overall, he has 39 games shooting 40% or higher this season, including tonight 9/14 (64.3%).

  52. Deni Avdija had only one block in his last 21 games. The last block was on March 2nd, 2023 - 119-108 W over the Raptors.
  53. Deni Avdija had offensive rebounds only twice in his last 12 games (he had 3 offensive rebounds, twice, in each of these 2 games), accumulating in the process 74 defensive rebounds & 6 offensive rebounds (including tonight).
  54. Anthony Gill scored in each of his last 7 games, including each of 14 out of the last 15 games - between 2 to 6 points (2 points tonight).
  55. Kendrick Nunn scored 12 points in each of his last 2 games.
  56. Xabier Cooks committed his first foul in his NBA career - an offensive foul%20(B.Taylor)) (resulted in a turnover) - a career-high in personal fouls for him as well - 9:55 left in the 2nd quarter.
  57. Therefore, It took Xabier Cooks exactly 849 seconds (14 minutes & 24 seconds) to commit his first foul in the NBA. I just summed his minutes & multiplied it by 60 for seconds, and then added the seconds from the MP & deduced it from total seconds (1,049 minus 3*60+5 because he fouled after 3 minutes & 5 seconds of playing time in the 2nd quarter). Source.
  58. Xabier Cooks had his first dunk in the NBA.%20(Goodwin%204%20AST))
  59. It's the first time Xabier Cooks played in the 2nd quarter, as he subbed in the break between the 1st & 2nd quarter.
  60. Xabier cooks played in each of the last 3 games - a career-high in straight games played.
  61. Cole Anthony had 10+ points in each of his last 10 games.
  62. Gary Harris had 0 3-pointers tonight, after scoring 6 3-pointers in the last game between the two teams, in the 122-112 W over the Wizards.
  63. It's only the 2nd time this season that Gary Harris finished with 0 points, and the first time this year. It's also the first time this year (2023) that he didn't score a single points in a game. The last time was on November 30th, 2022, in the 108-125 L to the Hawks. It's the first time he got 0 points in 20+ minutes (20:13 tonight) this season. It was also his 2nd most minutes played without scoring a single point during his entire career, which was on March 4th, 2017, with the Nuggets, as they lost 102-112 to the Hornets - 0 points in 21:32 minutes..
The best food we ever had! So far, the Wizards' FO with the best April Fools joke ever - the Wizards ^_^
Peace.

2023.04.01 13:06 thevagabond80 Thinking of Cancelling or Downgrading my Prulink Assurance Account Plus

Hi all, I've researched on this topic in this subreddit and read numerous posts but I'm still conflicted on what to do. I (40's, male, single) availed PruLife's Prulink Assurance Account Plus (Mag three years na this August). After reading stuff about VUL, I'm considering cancelling it. Hindi ko matanong nang direcho pa yung friend ko na FA na nagalok sakin nito dahil I'm not sure if he'll give me all options and I want to come to him pag decided na ako sana. 1. I still want to be insured and retain my parents as beneficiaries. Can my PruLife's Prulink Assurance Account Plus account be downgraded instead and still be insured? 2. If I am able downgrade it, will it have lower premiums? And can I just continue paying the new insurance plan (whatever it is) and still get something from the funds I already paid or forfeited na yun? Thank you in advanced, I'll appreciate your answers/guidance in this matter.

2023.04.01 13:06 Z4urce Line art from face

So I've built a robot that can plot vector images on an egg (for Easter) I'd like to convert a photo of my daughter to line art so it can be drawn by the robot on the eggs. However I can't find a proper way to do so. Could you help me out please?
Things I've tried:
Is there a way to convert a photo into black and white plottable line art using SD (or any other open source tool)?

For some background. My current net worth is about $66k.
Cash accounts include:
Investments include:
My question is that I have $2k in cash just sitting in my individual brokerage account and I don't know what to do with it. I've always been very conservative with how I invest, but I want to try a new approach and invest with a high-risk/high-reward mindset. This $2k is something I'm ok with losing. Just want to see where it can take me. Anybody have some advice on what I should do with the $2k?
Thanks!

2023.04.01 13:06 lukasamd Make work visible - best method to do that?

Hey,
I'm project manager and work on many projects, organize also three teams (they have team leads). I know the biggest problem is hidden and unclear work - everything can be planned and work smoothly if situation is clear and we know how many work in progress we have (to avoid too much in the same time).
I have problem with selecting method to visualize that, even just for me, for my personal big picture thinking. Checked a lot of tools (jira, roadmaps, whimsical, onenote, different kanbans etc) but looks like it does not work fine for me. I'm minimalist and prefer to have everything on the computer, but maybe it will be better to buy even simple magnetic board / pin board and use old school sticky notes and "real kanban". It will allow me to make just quick look and know what is in progress
I know it's a bit general, but am also very interested, how do you deal with such issue? Of course avoiding too much WiP is the most important item, but still need to visualize.

2023.04.01 13:06 zephell Overland Track, TAS (Winter - End of July)

Current base weight: 7.5kg
Given this is winter and my partner is joining I am optimising more for safety and comfort over going as light as possible. The last time I did the Overland was a few years ago in late March or April and it snowed most days, but my total pack weight was still only around 7kg including food. I have done 3-4 day fastpacks using an 18L running bag before, and this isn't going to be one of them.
Location/temp range/specific trip description:
Overland Track, TAS (82km)
July 24th (leave transport) - 28th (arrive Cynthia Bay)
Average min temperature: 2c, but given it is winter will plan for temps to hit -5c to -8c
Average max temperature: 9c
Budget: N/A, but mainly looking for validation.
Non-negotiable Items: Garmin InReach Mini, Forerunner 955, X Therm, SWD Big Haul
Solo or with another person?: Group of 3
Additional Information / Questions:
Lighterpack notes:
Red Star Items, still to purchase, Open to change
Green Star Items, Purchased, still to arrive, should be before July.
Yellow Start Items, multiple options I already own. Not a high priority.

Appreciate in advance any answers you may have to the above questions! Have a great weekend everyone.

2023.04.01 13:06 Heliumorchid [Discussion] Disproportionately Asymmetrical Relationships - Walk away if you find this one red flag

All my files are stuck on read only mode on win 11 and cannot be unchecked
Not long ago I noticed that my Adobe 1er pro could not access to "my documents" folder and also that some games could not save correctly (old games that use folders such as "my documents"). after looking at the properties of my documents file, i noticed that it was in "read only" but not completely, the problem is that every time I uncheck the "read-only" mode the folder goes back to read only, and this for *all* my hard drives. I've already tried to give the write and read permission via the "security" tab in properties, "access denied".
the button is checked as if it was not completely in read only mode, like folders inside which are checked in read only mode, even if i uncheck that, it still on read only
\"unable to enumerate object in this repository, the access has been denied\"

2023.04.01 13:05 NotTheEastCoast Final weight/height check before BMT

Currently I’m around 96-97 lbs, the minimum weight for my recorded height (5’ 1”) is 100 lbs (based on the 19 bmi chart), but 93 lbs is the lowest accepted weight (17.5 bmi), which is what I was told at MEPS.
I ship out the 11th of April, my recruiter says I need to be 101 lbs, but they also stated that the minimum is 93 lbs as well. Will I be able to ship out still if I’m not quite at 101 lbs?
The height recorder also added an inch to my height the first time I was there, I’ve been 5’ 0” for like 3 years now according to all of my doctor appointments, not even close to being at 0.5” to where it would be rounded up. I’ve even been to the doctor after MEPS and it was 5’ 0.1”. If they measure me at a different height when I ship, will the weight requirements change or will they just keep the initial height they measured?

2023.04.01 13:04 vnNinja21 EMEA production appreciation thread

Now that the EMEA superweek is done, I just want to make a small thread praising how well done everything was.
The content was very well produced, the desk was fun, the half time interviews were a nice touch, and for a completely new venue everything ran pretty smoothly, all things considered.
Of course, we all know and love Panpoc and Mitch and Tom, but Ender and Exwarrior were a very pleasant surprise for me. They bounced off each other very nicely and had a good understanding of when to hype things up, rather than just shouting at everything. Ender's analysis was great, I didn't feel like he was talking just to talk at any point. I'm really excited to see how they develope as the season goes on, these two have the potential to be my favourite caster pair for sure.
But also, I want to make a special note about how great the venue was. Designing the venue so that the audience sits so closely behind the players makes for a very intimate atmosphere, and 150 audience members is a small enough number so that even for teams with less fans, their cheers don't get overpowered by the opposing teams. Even watching costreams where the audio is lowered, I can still hear everyone getting involved when their team wins a round. Vitality's celebrations were really cool to see especially!
Anyway, all this is to say I'm really happy that this is what we have as the centre stage for our region. If any member of the production is reading this, you did great :)
