2023.06.01 21:04 JwhLLC "Ex" reached out after I dumped her but unsure on how to approach

A girl that I just dated for 5 months, and dumped because she didn't want a relationship, has started reaching out to me and I'm unsure of what to do. Long story but it's kinda complicated?
me(29m) and this girl (29f) started talking in December of last year and dated all the way up until beginning of this May. Both of us agreed to start off casual and just see what happens cuz she was fresh out of a LTR. At the start, I felt like we were beginning to fall for each other. We would talk all day every day as we discovered we had so much in common. She would tell me she was thinking of me throughout the day and when we would see eachother on dates the physical and emotional chemistry was really strong. Constant talk of "we" or "us" doing things together in the future and date plans being made regularly so to me it seems like we were heading to relationship territory at some point.
All of this came to a seemingly screeching halt after the first time we had sex like 2 months in. It didn't go super well as we were both drunk and it was a little awkward, we laughed it off and talked about the next time and I let it go but it felt like a switch had flipped over night.
This is what to me felt like the unraveling of everything. She started the process of moving to a new house and was really overwhelmed so we stopped seeing eachother as often. It seemed like she continued to become more and more distant as time went on but we continued to talk every day. Enthusiasm for date nights seemed to fade and we actually went an entire month without seeing eachother as she was always "too tired or busy" with the house when i asked but I gave her the benefit of the doubt being busy and rode out the storm. Although nothing ever got better. I eventually asked her if her feelings changed and she assured me no and that she wanted to continue dating like normal she was just over whelmed with life which I understood.
We eventually started going out again and I was helping her fix up the house and it seemed to be getting better and we even had sex again(still awkward). but then her dog became ill and had to be put down which added even more turbulence into things. I tried to be there for her as much as I could and tried to show her I was someone she could count on but despite my efforts the feeling of distance between us kept growing and eventually it got to the point where she started straight up flaking on plans we had giving the classic "I fell asleep" after not responding to me on nights we had plans or changing her mind saying she had a headache. I didn't appreciate this at all so I messaged her one day saying something along the lines of "Hey its been great getting to know you but I want a relationship and I know you don't so it's unfair for both of us to keep talking" she said she would miss me alot and she was sorry she wasnt in the mental space for a relationship but she loved being with me. and with that we ended things and haven't spoke in over a month. I was left with a lot of questions mainly of wtf happened why did this seemingly amazing connection just dissappear?
She randomly reached out to me a week ago but I ignored it and now last night over instagram by sending me a meme like the ones we used to send eachother and said "what really sucks is I see things like this and think of you" I reciprocated and we agreed to a friendly meeting up for a drink next week.
I still like this girl and think we could have something real if she decided she wanted to commit to a relationship. Is she breadcrumbing me? Am I just being a naive hopeless romantic?

2023.06.01 21:00 sjx112 Applying for VHIC from Germany

Hey guys,
I’ve been out of the military for years now, and I just got my claim approved. Am now 70% service-connected. Live in Germany.
I want to access the installations here, and I know that there is a long process for this. It all starts with getting a VHIC (somehow).
I tried to apply for this online using, but I keep getting a “Something went wrong, please contact your local VA facility”. I’m using my passport and my German mailing address.
Is there any way to get this card without spending a ton of money to fly back to the US? I have family in Texas, so maybe I could list that as the address and try to get them to mail it there?
I feel like I’m an edge case that no one thought about when they set this whole thing up. Help and advice would be appreciated.

Entrant understands and acknowledges that in the event a submission is selected as a winning entry, and entrant’s ownership, rights and the originality of the entry cannot be verified to the satisfaction of Sponsor or is in any other way ineligible, Sponsor may select an alternate winner based on the same judging criteria.
8) Except to the extent prohibited by law, entrants waive the benefit of any “moral rights” or “droit moral” or similar rights in any country to any content that they upload, submit or otherwise provide to Sponsor associated with the Sweepstakes (“Entrant Content”). In addition, when an entrant creates, appears in, uploads, or posts Entrant Content, that entrant grants Sponsor a non-exclusive, transferable, worldwide, royalty-free, unrestricted, perpetual, irrevocable, license, with the right to sublicense, to such entrant’s name, likeness, and voice, including in connection with commercial or sponsored content. This means, among other things, that such entrant will not be entitled to any compensation from Sponsor, its affiliates, or its business partners if such entrant’s name, likeness, or voice is conveyed through the game or any related services, or on one of Sponsor’s business partner’s platforms.

Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. ZAM will make final determination of identity of participants and timing of entries in its sole discretion.

No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. In event that production, technical, programming or any other reasons cause more than stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available and/or claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a choosing from all legitimate, unawarded, eligible prize claims. In the event Sponsor is prevented from continuing with the Sweepstakes as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, or any federal, state or local government law, order, or regulation, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each a "Force Majeure" event or occurrence), then subject to any governmental approval which may be required, Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes. 2023.06.01 20:59 Dev-N-Danger Sharing reports or dashboards internally but with people that do not have PBI

New data analyst, working for a big company, here. I am even more new to PBI but have been tasked to help. Right now, we have a dashboard that sends alerts to emails and allows our end users to see the one tile/visual that the alert is connected to.
What would be the easiest route to:
- Allow end user to see all tiles/visuals
- Allow end user to see data without having PBI
- Possible to publish to SharePoint so anyone internally can see data w/o having PBI?

From what I have read I can only share with others that have PBI. I would like to just send the data without them having it. Thanks

2023.06.01 20:58 AllTheWayUnstuck Sigh. This is getting annoying

Ok, I’m beginning to lose patience with the new app and token migration.
Have had some Meld token in 2 different Eternal wallets since the end of the ISPO, one of which I was using to provide liquidity in a pool.
When the token migration began, I was able to migrate the tokens from the LP without any issues.
So today I decide to link my second wallet to migrate the rest of my tokens…..and that’s a no go. It seems that I can only link one wallet to the app, even after creating a new, second 24 word seed phrase. Maybe I’ve done something wrong, but can’t see what that could be. Annoying but okay, whatever.
So I transfer a small amount of the old token to the wallet linked to the Meld App as a test. Okay great, the tokens showed up in the second wallet no problem. Now however, when I log in to the app the older non migrated tokens aren’t showing up in app, which of course means that I can’t migrate them. So now I have tokens in a second wallet that I can’t connect to the app or migrate to the new smart contract.
Would really like to use more of my tokens in some Defi protocols so WTF meld?
Not giving up on this project but my patience is wearing very thin

2023.06.01 20:57 hugoLOSTLuxx [REVIEW] Redmagic Mechanical Gaming Keyboard und Redmagic Gaming Maus

[REVIEW] Redmagic Mechanical Gaming Keyboard und Redmagic Gaming Maus
First, a few words about Redmagic itself. Redmagic was founded in 2018 as a gaming division of ZTE/Nubia. The main focus should be gaming.
It all started with the Nubia Redmagic with Snapdragon 835 6GB or 8GB Ram and 64 or 128GB memory.
In the meantime, Redmagic not only manufactures smartphones, but also other gaming equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, mouse pad and monitor.
In this test I would like to introduce you to the Redmagic Wireless Mechanical Keyboard and the Redmagic Wireless Gaming Mouse.

The keyboard has TTC Speed Silver V2 switches with a key travel of 3.4mm and a release weight of 45g. and is said to have a durability of 100 million keystrokes. The switches are not soldered, but only plugged in and can be exchanged for many other switches available on the market. The keycaps are made of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) and are black on the top and slightly gray transparent on the sides. According to the manufacturer, the keyboard has RGB lighting with 16.8 million colors (more on that later), a 1.47" display and a 4000mAh battery.
It can be connected either via a 2.4GHz USB dongle (included) or via a USB-C cable. The USB dongle can be stored on the underside of the keyboard when not in use. The keyboard can theoretically be used on 5 devices at the same time, once via USB, via wireless dongle and via Bluetooth. You can switch the Bluetooth channels using FN+1, 2, 3 and use FN+4 to switch to the USB dongle. In the driver, however, it is only recognized via a USB dongle or USB cable.
There is no dedicated media button. The FN functions are not printed on any key, but you can still control the media using the FN+F keys and also use other functions such as setting the lighting:
FN+F1 Brightness from screen up
FN+F2 Brightness off screen down
FN+F3 Mail application
FN+F4 Calculator
FN+F5 File Manager
FN+F6 Media Player
FN+F7 title back
FN+F8 Play/Pause
FN+F9 Next title
FN+F10 Mute
FN+F11 volume up
FN+F12 Volume down
FN+High Brightness RGB high
FN+Down Brightness RGB Down
FN+Left Light theme forward
FN+Right Light theme back
Let's get to the keys. I cannot check whether the technical specifications of the switches are correct. I only have the comparison to a Razer keyboard with rubber domes and a Coole-Master keyboard with MX Brown switches. I think the buttons on the Redmagic are much too easy to press, you don't feel any resistance at all. So it often happens that you make a typo but don't even notice that you have pressed a key. I used the keyboard for 3 weeks at work and couldn't get used to the easy typing feel during that time.
A metal plate is embedded in the base plate, which makes the whole keyboard feel heavy and valuable. The whole thing should also serve to dampen the noise of the keystrokes and create a better typing feel.
The keyboard is only available with a US layout so far, but is sold worldwide via its own online shop.

Redmagic advertises a battery life of 28 hours when the lights are on and 200 hours when the RGB lights are off.
In my case I have to disagree. With lighting on I had 8 hours after 2 working days. still a battery capacity of 14%, but you have to say that I had set in the driver that the lighting after 5min. not used turns off.
Also the 200 hrs. I couldn't do it without lighting. After a week of use (40 hours week), you still had a remaining capacity of 60%.
Charging with a USB-C cable takes about 4 hours on the PC.
On the 1.47" display, you can use the rotary knob next to it to set the preset RGB colors/change the brightness and adjust the volume. You can also display some system information.
Unfortunately, displaying the system information did not work for me (Lenovo Legion 5 Pro).
A frequency of 3.83 GHz was permanently displayed for the CPU and 0.00GHz was displayed for the GPU. The FPS display was constantly at 61FPS. Also, no CPU temperature was displayed. If you look at the various files in the driver folder, you can see that the display should read the data using Openhardwaremonitor. But that doesn't work (Openhardwaremonitor as a standalone application works perfectly). Furthermore, you cannot select in the driver itself which sensors should be used as a display.
As an accessory, Redmagic supplies a USB spiral cable with the keyboard, a USB 2.4GHz wireless dongle and "pliers" to remove the key caps and the switches themselves. Like all current Redmagic Gaming products, the packaging is shiny silver. On the back you will find some technical data.
The mouse weighs 75gr. and is made of smooth semi-transparent black plastic.

A PixArt PAW3395 sensor with up to 26000dpi and 1000Hz sampling rate is installed. Although I wonder who needs 26000DPI. With 26000DPI, the mouse pointer is so fast that even the slowest mouse pointer speed (set directly in Windows) is far too fast. The switches are Khali GM 8.0 Mamba Micro switches. Like the keyboard, it can be connected to the PC via USB-C cable, Bluetooth or 2.4GHz USB dongle (can be hidden on the underside when not in use, like the keyboard). The supplied USB-C to USB A cable is covered with fabric and very light and very flexible. On the top there are two buttons plus the mouse wheel, on the left side you can find the two thumb buttons. The DPI of the sensor can be changed in 5 steps using a button on the bottom of the mouse ( which can be set in the driver.
Due to the smooth surface and the low weight, the mouse feels cheap at first.
In my opinion, the rubber grip tapes included as accessories can help. You stick these on the top buttons and on the sides of the mouse, so the mouse feels much more valuable. Glide tapes are also supplied as accessories to replace the underside and a USB-C to USB-A adapter to place the dongle on the desk.

The mouse glides very easily over all surfaces, be it a wooden table, cloth mouse pad or plastic mouse pad. This is partly due to the very low weight.

The size of the mouse is sufficient for my "normal" sized hands. I don't think it's suitable for larger hands.

Like the keyboard, the mouse also has RGB lighting, but in contrast to the keyboard, there is an RGB "wheel" in the driver for the colors and you can choose any color you want.
In wireless mode (via dongle or Bluetooth), the lighting only switches on when you stop moving it. If you move the mouse, the lighting goes out again.

If the mouse is connected via cable, the LEDs light up continuously.

But you can set the time in the driver when the lighting should switch off when not in use.
The battery has a capacity of 450mAh and lasts me about 5 days a 8 hours. when the RGB lighting is completely off. It is specified with a running time of up to 100 hours.

The driver version V1.1.7 is the latest and is used equally for the mouse and keyboard, but as already written above only if both devices are connected via cable or USB dongle.

In the keyboard menu you can set when the RGB lighting should switch off and when it should go into sleep mode (you can wake it up by pressing any key). You can also program a macro for each key (really for each key). For example, you can place a left click on the space bar mouse.
All other functions such as setting the RGB lighting and RGB color can also be set with the keyboard itself. Here it would be desirable if you could configure the 1.47" display yourself, e.g. to display more system information via HW info or the track currently being played from Spotify. So I find the display beautiful but pointless. It would also be great if you could customize the colors of the keys to your liking.
Unfortunately, you can't select 16.8 million colors as promised. You only have 7 preset colors to choose from with 10 different lighting modes.

In the mouse area you will find some functions like the keyboard. You can set when the mouse goes into sleep mode. You can set macros for each of the 5 keys. You can also adjust the DPI and set the sampling rate of the sensor. In wireless mode via USB dongle, you can also see the charge status of the battery.

If both devices are connected via cable, a firmware update can also be carried out. When I started using it for the first time, I was offered an update for both devices.
The biggest criticism of the driver, however, is the poor translation into English (there are only Chinese or English language options). Some points are not fully translated or make no sense at all. Unfortunately, there is no help or instructions for which functions.
I hope that will be adjusted for the western market, as well as other functions for the display.
If you thought you could use one USB dongle for both devices (as is the case with Logitech, for example), far from it, each device needs its own 2.4GHz USB adapter.
For the price of the keyboard of €199 and the mouse of €99, I find the range of functions too little, because there are better devices on the market for a lower price. Even if there is currently a €20 discount if you buy a mouse and keyboard at the same time, it's still too much.
I would like to say many thanks to Redmagic for making the two devices available to me for the test.

2023.06.01 20:57 w3agle Looking for a cost and time efficient corner detail for simple wooden shelves, benches, etc.

I want to build a lot of benches, shelves, and other various small structures.
I am open to using metal brackets if that’s the most cost and time efficient, but I’m thinking there must be a good way to do it without a bracket.
I know that I need to avoid screwing into the end grain for these connections. None of my use cases impact life safety. Primarily holding potted plants and such. Still I want them to be reliable. And since they’ll be outside I know end grain is even more susceptible to failure.
I know joints would be ideal but that’s a new skill for me. I have a table saw and can make dado cuts. I can borrow a router setup for something more complicated but that’s new to me.

2023.06.01 20:57 _AstroSoul After many great experiences, think the LS finally ruined my relationship

Posted a few weeks ago about how my partner (m) and I (f) had a hookup, where my So crossed boundaries.
Took the high road advice and opened up with him how that made me feel, and how we need a break from the LS, to which he agreed.
Fast forward to this week, I agreed to our usual agreement of FFM, so he has been eagerly seeking, however I noticed he was talking to the couple with whom he crossed boundaries with and I asked what they were talking about and he ignored me, then lied to my face and said they aren't talking and that I'm crazy. Sure enough the messages have been deleted.
A bit of info on my previous post:
My so went to another room with the girl " which has always been off bounds *, and claims he just "had a cigarette". Meanwhile all week hes been talking about how good sex and cigarettes are (which we haven't done together). Just little comments he makes is making it appear like all the lying pieces are stemming together.
We didn't have this issue with previous experiences, but with this one, him and the girl had too strong of a connection, and I wasn't attracted to the guy sexually, which my so knew from the start.
My so keeps trying to get us to hang with them, but I'm so uncomfortable, and feel sick by how obsessed he has been about this other girl.
Everything has been weird and off since then. Has he been thinking about her that much? my gut is alarming me that something is off.
I really enjoyed the LS up until now, and now I'm kinda mad at myself for giving the wrong man this opportunity to explore with me. He had never had these experiences until I introduced him to the LS, which wasn't suppose to be a full swap which he also knew, but my drunk ass tried to be the kinder partner, and he has taken advantage.
Feel like we went from a happy and cute couple to becoming toxic in a matter of weeks. Just in shock, we've been together for 10 years now with many experiences. I love him dearly, and really wanted us to find that balance, but now I'm seriously considering leaving this relationship.
For the first time, LS has ruined my relationship because my so is taking advantage and he doesn't care how I feel.
Does this happen often to couples in the LS? How do I confront him without sounding like I'm nagging or complaining? How do I get my point across.... I don't want to let 10 years go so easily, but it feels shady.

2023.06.01 20:56 Optimal_Ad_1847 25 [M4F] Houston, TX/Anywhere - Seeking a Relationship

I am from Houston, Texas. Well, I live just outside of Houston, but people who live near Houston usually say they are from Houston.
Anyway, I am 25 years old, and I was studying medicine overseas. I have permanently returned to the USA to continue my education. I work part time as an uber eats driver. I spend most of my time studying. This might be a relatively long post.
Hobbies/Interests: My hobbies are similar to most people, and we don't have to share the same hobbies or interests. - Movies and TV (Sci-fi, horror, and crime) - Exercising, especially running - Food (Thai, Mediterranean, and Indian) - Reading - Boardgames and videogames - Nature-y stuff. Walking outside. - Music (Instrumental, orchestral, and rap). I listen to songs from each genre. - Investing
I want to pickup more hobbies and interests. I would like to learn how to play the piano and violin. I want to learn a new language. I want to do outdoor activities such as hiking and maybe even camping. I have always wanted to learn video effects. It's great if you do one or multiple of these things, so I can learn or participate too. We can pickup a joint hobby too. However, I am a homebody. I would describe myself as reserved, calm, but adventurous. I like to tease when I feel comfortable around someone.

2023.06.01 20:55 alfadhir-heitir [1/6/2023] Today's Cards -

Hello. This is part of an effort to deepen the connection and understanding of the Tarot, which I decided to openly share in this sub. Each day a card will be drawn, related to which Archetype to focus the study on and deepen. Then a few more will be pulled, pertaining how to expand the conscious awareness of it, how to deepen the subconscious understanding, what's the general message that must be understood and what's the missing link that'll allow further interpretation.
[Today's Card] Page of Wands
The presence of the Page of Wands is quite interesting, and resonated deeply with the general vibe of how my day is going. This guy is all about tackling challenges head on. He may not be the most skillful, nor the wisest, but his bravery is commendable, for it comes not from experience or expertise, but from pure courage and willingness to advance. It's a very heart-centered card, embodying the saying "this kid got heart".
Regarding the exploration, I feel it's deeply related to the directing of magickal power, both in ritual setting and in daily life. Truth is, everything we do can be taken as a ritual, and a ritual can be brought up from everything we do. From brushing our teeth, to taking a nightly walk, to research some topic or spend time in our hobbies, everything can become a ritual. I've done quite a bit of shadow work and emotional healing by watching TV shows. I've learned quite a lot regarding occultism from studying Maths and Physics. The inflow of cosmic energy and it's subsequent grounding is a constant. It's more about allowing it to happen and becoming aware of it than anything else.
The Page of Wands, like all pages, entails some immaturity, usually masked by a thick layer of Ego - a byproduct of said immaturity. This is the guy that'll bite more than he can chew, and plow through it even though his jaws is cramping up. Although this is somewhat commendable, and surely adds up to quite a few lessons regarding personal limits, ultimately his approach isn't exactly sustainable. Overexerting ourselves, no matter in which area, plane or form, is a sure fine way to end up feeling exhausted and burned out. Alternatively, a more balanced, sustainable approach will allow for further creative exploration, keeping the Work light and interesting, with plenty room for expansion and personal inputs.
[Expand the Light] Ten of Wands
It's curious how the Ten of Wands pops up regarding how to expand the conscious understanding of the Ten of Wands. Clearly there's something missing, considering the Page follows the Ten. It's as if the cards are advising to take a step back and really review the lessons of the Suit, with all that that entails. This particular Ten is really powerful and deep, and deeply connected to my patron deity, Odin, the Allfadhir, which isn't insignificant at all. My relationship with Odin, and with my guides in general, can be summed up as "we'll tell you how stuff works, than you figure it out how to make it work on your own". Lately there's been quite a bit of understanding how things work, which means it's time to roll up the sleeves and get them hands busy. This is also quite aligned with the general flow of today. Astrologically, this card is related to Saturn in Sagittarius, which presents the other side of the dichotomy present in the Two of Pentacles (Jupiter in Capricorn). Truth be said, the Saturn in Sagittarius association isn't as clear as the Jupiter in Capricorn one, so the pointer towards exploring the Ten a little deeper in order to get to the Page makes total sense. Regarding the Astrological setting, I'd say the main focus would be to align structures with purpose.
[Deepen the Shadow] Nine of Swords
This one has been very present lately - perhaps because of it's association with Sun in Gemini, which is the Astrological period we're living through. Either way, the message seems related to actually embracing the anxiety and worry that the Nine of Swords usually entails, and take it as an indicator of where to pour in focus next. Regarding the deck in particular, this Nine brings out the "no point fighting what is" energy contained in the Nine of Swords. I feel this is related to some inner resistance regarding some responsibilities, which usually gets tore down by the time the anxiety of not being able to come through overrides said resistance. Clearly it's time to work through this, and start working - a theme that's clearly constant in this reading. The Page of Wands in particular is very proactive, and tends to jump in before understanding the full picture. This is very far from my usual mode of function. Perhaps it's time to spend less resources figuring out what to do and embrace the process of figuring it out while doing it.
[Guiding Power] Page of Cups
The Page of Cups was a real constant yesterday, and came up in the majority of the readings I gave. I always associate this guy with creativity, but also a certain dreamlike state. Reminds me of the archetype of the daydreamer, which floats to life with their head in the clouds. There's also a certain childlike innocence to this page, specially in this deck - opposed to RWS's Page of Cup's general sly fox vibe. Curiously, it creates a clear polarity with the Page of Wands. The main focus is Fire, but the general lesson is Water. I'd say the major point here is about flow. About entering a state of acceptance regarding what's life bringing in to the table and asking in return. Only by engaging in this give-and-take, in this ebb, can we open up ourselves to what Life has to give us. Anything else will can be summed up as forms of resistance or dysfunction.
[Missing Link] Four of Swords
Ah, the quiet one. Clear indicator it's time to stop theorizing and talking the talk, and start walking the walk. I never go too long when this guy comes up. It's a card that's to be understood and contemplated, not explained and deconstructed.
In general, I'd say the reading entails a generally positive experience, with a big focus on practicality. Theory can only take us so far. Things must be practiced in order to be understood and integrated. Alternatively, practice without theory won't generate much movement. A proper balance of both is required - something I feel comes up from the dichotomy between the Pages that were drawn. Regarding the Ten, I'd say there's a really big expansion vibe, but a different kind of expansion. It feels more like re-purposing existing structures and figuring out how to adapt them to the current situation than it feels about gathering new tools and exploring new ideas. More of an horizontal movement. Regarding the Nine, the general idea is to be brutally honest regarding the excuses presented to oneself. The philosopher's trap is a real thing. We shouldn't pay mind to the justifications and explanations that our insecure ego comes up with to avoid the process of trial and error that's deeply associated with putting something to practice. Instead, it's important to understand failure as an integral part of the learning experience, and actively pursuing it - after all, it's said the greatest difference between the Master and the Apprentice is that the Master has failed more times than the Apprentice has even tried.
I hope this exploration adds some value or, at the very least, some interesting outlooks or insights. Thank you for your time. Stay True <3

2023.06.01 20:54 rlnjkm Is LISK a Bisexual Sadist Sexual Serial Killer?

Is LISK a bisexual sadist serial killer; grooming, attacking and murdering both men and women and why do few people really want to consider this?
A reasonable case for this can be made with just allowing one’s perspective to see all of the overarching evidence and challenge law enforcement’s one dimensional, myopic and hastily put together narrative.
As stated many times before, SCPD believes “Asian Male” to be an outlier, a surprise to LISK, who being all heterosexual, beat this person to death in a fit of rage. On the surface, this is a plausible assessment; that is, if there weren't any other males found in proximity (location and time), to female victims, or found in some sort of female clothing. How does that align when SCPD also has a keen eye on Andre Jamal “Sugar Bear'' Issac, going so far as to incorporate a link to the Gilgo News website, and “owning” the case, despite their torso being found in Arverne, in a female bodysuit and skirt?
The link, or links?
As my research progressed, using my map, it became rather obvious to me that there was something more going on than the narrative suggests. The list of male victims I’ve compiled are not conclusive and there could very well be any number of reasons and tons of other POI’s, but if “Asian Male” and Sugar Bear and the Manorville Males are in LISK’s orbit, then so too are the men I will introduce below.
SCPD, subsequently and consistently has denied any link between the three murdered males found in Manorville, 2000, 2003 and 2012, despite being in relative proximity to Jessica Taylor and Valerie Mack (who were also found along Ocean Parkway in the Gilgo Beach area).
But, is this accurate?
Not by a long shot… is why…
What if LISK selected both women and men, to moderately groom and ultimately murder?
Before I get to that, I wanted to thoroughly look at Sexual Serial Killers in general. Many SK’s are compulsion killers- driven towards certain criteria and/or opportunities, but predominantly, sexually driven:
There are precedents of bisexual serial killers:
Serial killers have many overlapping traits, which seem like MO’s to the average person, but this is actually not the case. Each known serial killer is wholly unique and while there are some similarities, it is foolish to try to relegate any one of them into a box of characteristics and call it expertise, or “definitive”.
LISK clearly has a female “preference”. Petite, 5’-5’5”, 100 -110 lbs., hazel/green eyes. The “attributed” LISK Victims all share these characteristics. (Side note: less than 5% of the world’s population has hazel eyes, in the US, it’s closer to 18%). The narrative here is that it was easier to “control” smaller, lighter women, but not necessarily the case. Eye color preference is a derivative of paraphilia and may represent for LISK, a catalyst, rooted in his childhood or early developmental experiences or fantasies.
With the males we see a different trend, notably because males tend to be larger overall. But the methods of their deaths have some consistency.
For now, I will focus on just the time frame of 1990-2016. I will add background where relevant. To be fair, some of the criteria I used is lacking depth and is tenuous, however, for example, at that time, it was well known that a male wearing one earring is representing themselves as gay in many circles, whereas nowadays, it is not.
Also notable:
Here is a more detailed list that incorporates both attributed and possible victims:
Connectivity Avenues:
It appears that victims who worked the streets were dismembered, compared to escorts who advertised online, (assuming the same for FIJD, Peaches).

2023.06.01 20:52 ReviewMonkey The Benefits of Bulking Up: Building Strength, Size, and Confidence

The Benefits of Bulking Up: Building Strength, Size, and Confidence
Bulking up, the process of increasing muscle mass and overall body size, has become a popular goal among individuals pursuing fitness and physical transformation. While the concept of bulking up is often associated with bodybuilders and weightlifters, it offers a range of benefits that extend beyond just the aesthetic aspect. In this article, we will explore the various advantages of bulking up and how it can positively impact your physical health, mental well-being, and overall lifestyle.
Learn more about building muscles and bulking up!
  1. Increased Muscle Mass and Strength: One of the primary benefits of bulking up is the substantial increase in muscle mass and strength. Through resistance training and a calorie surplus, the body undergoes hypertrophy, leading to the growth and development of muscles. This enhanced muscle mass not only improves physical performance but also increases overall functional strength, making everyday activities easier and more efficient.
  2. Enhanced Metabolism: Bulking up can have a positive impact on your metabolism. The increased muscle mass gained during the bulking phase elevates the resting metabolic rate (RMR), which means your body burns more calories even at rest. This can contribute to improved body composition, increased fat burning, and better weight management in the long run.
  3. Improved Bone Health: Strength training, a fundamental component of bulking up, has a significant impact on bone health. Engaging in weight-bearing exercises stimulates bone remodeling, increasing bone density and reducing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures later in life. Bulking up not only strengthens muscles but also fortifies your skeletal system.
  4. Boosted Confidence and Body Image: Achieving your desired physique through bulking up can have a profound effect on your self-confidence and body image. As you develop and sculpt your body, you may experience increased self-esteem, improved body appreciation, and a positive outlook on your physical appearance. This newfound confidence can transcend into other areas of your life, promoting a healthier mindset and overall well-being.
  5. Enhanced Hormonal Balance: Intensive resistance training, characteristic of the bulking process, can positively influence hormonal balance. Exercise-induced hormonal responses, such as increased testosterone and growth hormone production, promote muscle growth, fat loss, and improved mood. These hormonal changes can lead to increased vitality, better recovery, and overall hormonal health.
  6. Functional Fitness and Performance: Bulking up not only improves muscular strength and size but also enhances functional fitness. Functional exercises mimic real-life movements and improve coordination, balance, and stability. This can have a direct impact on your performance in various physical activities, sports, and everyday tasks, making you more capable and efficient.
  7. Long-Term Health Benefits: Apart from the immediate advantages, bulking up can have long-term health benefits. Regular resistance training has been linked to a reduced risk of chronic diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Additionally, maintaining a healthy body composition and strong musculoskeletal system can support joint health, improve posture, and alleviate muscular imbalances.
  1. Increased Resistance to Injuries: Building strong muscles and improving overall body strength can help prevent injuries in various physical activities. The additional muscle mass provides better support and stability to the joints, reducing the risk of strains, sprains, and other common injuries. This increased resilience can enable you to engage in more challenging workouts and enjoy a higher level of physical activity without fear of getting injured.
  2. Enhanced Workout Performance: As you bulk up and increase your muscle mass, you may notice significant improvements in your workout performance. With stronger muscles, you can lift heavier weights, perform more repetitions, and push yourself further during your training sessions. This enhanced performance can lead to progressive overload, which is crucial for continual muscle growth and strength gains.
  3. Better Body Composition: Bulking up is not just about gaining muscle mass; it also involves managing your body fat levels effectively. By combining strength training with proper nutrition, you can achieve a more favorable body composition. While the focus is on muscle growth, the process of bulking up often results in simultaneous fat loss, leading to a leaner and more defined physique.
  4. Improved Mental Discipline: Bulking up requires dedication, discipline, and consistency in both training and nutrition. The process teaches you to set goals, create structured routines, and make conscious choices about your diet and lifestyle. This mental discipline can translate into other areas of your life, helping you develop a strong work ethic, better time management skills, and improved self-control.
  5. Social Support and Community: Engaging in the journey of bulking up can introduce you to a supportive community of like-minded individuals. Whether you join a gym, participate in fitness classes, or connect with fellow fitness enthusiasts online, you can find encouragement, inspiration, and valuable advice from others who share similar goals. This sense of community can provide motivation, accountability, and a sense of belonging throughout your bulking journey.📷
  6. Stress Relief and Mental Well-being: Physical exercise, including bulking up, is known to be an effective stress reliever. Engaging in regular workouts can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, and boost overall mental well-being. The release of endorphins during exercise can promote feelings of happiness and relaxation, providing a natural way to combat stress and improve your overall quality of life.
  7. Transferable Skills and Functional Strength: The strength and functional fitness gained through bulking up can have practical applications in various aspects of your life. Whether it's carrying groceries, lifting heavy objects, or engaging in recreational activities, the increased strength and improved movement patterns can make these tasks easier and more efficient. The functional strength developed during bulking up can enhance your daily life, making physical activities outside the gym more enjoyable and manageable.
Remember, bulking up is a personal journey, and the benefits may vary from individual to individual. It's essential to approach the process with realistic expectations, prioritize your health and well-being, and seek guidance from fitness professionals to ensure safe and effective progress towards your goals.

2023.06.01 20:47 Rook4242 An Alternative Theory of Base Design: The Strongline Approach (ST:E)

An Alternative Theory of Base Design: The Strongline Approach (ST:E)
An Alternative Theory of Base Design:
The Strongline Approach
Link to Google Drive Version:
TL; DR Summary:
All warfare is Based – Sun Tzu, emphasizing the importance of good base construction.
Current base-design thinking, and practice, is dominated by a focus on expansive bases with multiple layers of redundancy. While not disregarding redundancy altogether, I advocate for a different approach. I contend that a more compact base with a focus on a strong front line (a Strongline if you will) which can be easily manned and repaired with only a minor level of redundancy or layering is superior. In my opinion this approach better optimizes bases for Navigability, Force Concentration, Funneling, and Cost-Effectiveness at the expense of some Redundancy. Current base design seems to revolve around controlling as large a volume of the build-area as possible, pushing the base right up to the bug entry points. But this is not a necessary or efficient use of resources. The objective is to defend the ARC, not the surrounding area. Better to build a smaller cheaper base which better defends the ARC rather than a larger, more expensive, more difficult to navigate, and more unwieldly base which (poorly) controls a large area. This is the central concept of Strongline Design Theory. If you want additional detail but not the underlying theory, skip to the section labelled “Strongline Base Design.”
The Five Principles of Base Design
Figuring things out for yourself is the only freedom anyone really has – Jean Rasczack
In order to understand and compare the current theory of base design with my alternative theory, we must first describe the 5 Principles of a good base.
I. Navigability
Battles are won by slaughter and maneuver. The greater the general, the more he contributes in maneuver, the less he demands in slaughter. -Churchill
Navigability is how easily and quickly troopers can traverse the base. Traversal includes: Combat Troopers moving from fighting position to fighting position to reinforce areas under heavy/special attack, Combat Troopers easily and securely exiting the base to hunt Grenadiers, and Repair Troopers easily and quickly checking and repairing base components.
Navigability is important because it allows Troopers to bring firepower and repairs where they are most needed and respond effectively to variations in distribution of threats across the line over time. Navigability is accomplished by having a more compact base with fewer interior fortifications blocking traversal. A low-navigability base will impede troopers from assisting each other or responding to changes in threats across the line and will function more as a series of smaller isolated bases than as a cohesive whole.
II. Redundancy
Redundancy is ambiguous because it seems like a waste if nothing unusual happens. Except that something unusual happens-usually. – Nassim Taleb
Redundancy is how well the base can tolerate a breach. It entails creating multiple layers of defense lines, compartmentalizing lines so that breaches do not grant the bugs access to a larger interior volume.
Redundancy is important because breaches are inevitable, and troopers must be able to contain and ideally patch a breach. Strong redundancy fighting positions enable this. Redundancy is accomplished by having more internal layers of fighting positions and by sealing/compartmentalizing areas of each line with further internal layers. A base with low redundancy will suffer catastrophically from small breaches as bugs are able to rapidly invade a large volume of the base.
III. Force Concentration
A major battle in a theater of operations is a collision between two centers of gravity; the more forces we can concentrate in our center of gravity, the more certain and massive the effect will be. – Von Clausewitz
Force Concentration is how well the troopers are to concentrate their firepower and repair capabilities along a narrow front. A narrow front with more troopers means firepower and repair capability can be used more efficiently and troopers can more easily support each other without having to travel a long distance. More troopers on a smaller area also minimizes the probability that a trooper will overlook/miss something (like a small bug slowly destroying the wall he is standing on) without his comrades noticing. This concept is somewhat more abstract than the previous concepts, so here illustrative example: an area of high force concentration would be a bunker which sticks out from a defense-line and enables a concentration of troopers within to engage bugs on 3 sides vs a long wall dotted with spread-out troopers.
Force concentration is important because concentrated troopers are able to support one another with equipment/deployable items and multiplies the value of these items. Force concentration can be accomplished by constructing fighting positions (ideally bunkers, but groups of walls/towers work as well) which enable troopers to cover a large area or chokepoint(s) while remaining near to one another. A base with poor opportunities for force concentration will make it difficult for troopers to assist each other and use equipment/deployables multiplicatively.
IV. Funneling
If you have an enemy, then learn and know your enemy -Denzel Washington
Funneling is how well the base directs bugs towards the intended defense/fighting positions. Funneling is closely related to and must be thought of in conjunction with Force Concentration. However, Funneling is more about understanding how the bugs will approach and react to the base.
Funneling is important because the bugs must be directed towards the fighting positions to…well…fight them. Additionally, a large, concentrated mass of bugs can be better engaged by AoE weapons. One can build the most navigable and concentrated fighting positions with superior redundancy, but that hardly matters If the bugs attack/concentrate elsewhere. Good Funneling can be achieved by understanding the Bug’s mind. The Bug strongly preferences the shortest and most direct routes to the ARC, by placing obstacles and fighting positions with this preference in mind one can direct defenders to these avenues, and good Funneling can be generated. A base with poor funneling will see the bugs spread over a large front or concentrate on an unexpected/less defensible section of front, typically leading to a breach.
V. Cost Effectiveness
Cost is more important than quality, but quality is the best way to reduce cost. -Genichi Taguchi
Finally, Cost Effectiveness is how well your base performs given the level of resources (“blue stuff”, “Baja blast”, “Smurf juice”, “blue raspberry flavoring”, “the good stuff”, etc.) has been gathered/invested. Cost effectiveness is more relevant in ARC mode than in the other mode but is still important in all cases.
Cost-Effectiveness is important because you can only gather so many resources/spend so much time before the bug attack begins or you must leave to do something else. Getting the most bang for your buck will help you to build your base quickly and finish out rounds to gain XP. Certainly, a bigger more expensive base is often ‘better’ than a smaller, cheaper one, but a smaller cheaper one may be good enough or even stronger in some areas and may be built much sooner so that the game can progress. A base with poor cost effectiveness may be unfinished by the time the bug attack begins or may simply take so long to finish that players become bored/stop having fun.
Trade Offs Between Principles
There are no solutions; there are only trade-offs. – Thomas Sowell
1. The Big One: Redundancy vs Everything Else
Redundancy is by far the most controversial and difficult principle to optimize for. This is because it is in opposition to every other principle. Additional interior walls and compartments make navigation more difficult, divide up defenders, make it harder to predict where bugs will engage, and increase costs dramatically. On the other hand, the occasional breach is inevitable, so some level of redundancy is required.
Be careful however, just because you have the resources does not mean you should add another interior or exterior wall, if adding that wall decreases navigability and concentration more than it improves your defensive redundancy. Layers can in fact be suboptimal, and my opinion on this has produced no small amount of onion-themed shrieking from mental midgets in VC. Weigh these factors carefully and keep this trade off in mind as you go, it is the easiest and most tempting balance to get wrong. As elaborated later, I advocate focusing more on building a solid line you can maintain/repair rather than a series of lines designed to fail.
2. Force Concentration vs Grenadiers
As it says in the Bible, God fights on the side of heaviest artillery – Robert Heinlein, author of science fiction classics you may have heard of.
Concentrating your force makes them more vulnerable to Grenadier artillery hits. Clustering your men or your defensive positions can make it easy for a single shell to severely weaken or even breach your defenses. However, for reasons elaborated under III. Force Concentration and IV. Funneling, the solution is not to spread your force along a broader front. Additionally, a broad front is no less vulnerable to grenadier fire as it is much harder to repair the damage or quickly respond to breaches in a large, broad front-style base. Instead, Grenadiers should be strongly prioritized and dealt with offensively. As soon as you or any other trooper are aware of Grenadier fire, repair the effected area and determine the direction of the Grenadier bug. An offensive team/squad should be dispatched immediately, and the remaining troopers rotated to cover whatever gaps may arise from sending a squad out of the base.
3. Force Concentration and Funneling vs Surface Area
Small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life -God, in his hit work The Bible (Mathew 7:14)
Critics of my approach have argued that maintaining a small front (a consequence of good Force Concentration and Funneling) weakens the base as the large mass of bugs are attacking a small surface area of wall/bunker and thus doing a lot of damage to a small number of props rather than a little damage to a large variety of props. They contend, not incorrectly, that this can increase the likelihood of a breach. I would argue, that while that is true, a smaller front is also far easiefaster to repair and has significant advantages in navigability, item-sharing, AoE weapon usage, and cost. For these reasons I argue that the trade off between Force Concentration/Funneling and the Surface Area (effectively HP pool) of the base, is strongly weighted towards minimizing Surface Area.
Important Addenda
I know it’s getting a bit long, I apologize, bear with me.
A. Bunker Usage
They say I get into too many bunkers. But it is no problem. I am the best bunker player. -Seve Ballestros
Bunkers are by far the best defensive structure. They have extremely high health pools, defend multiple angles, and bugs cannot enter them. Bunkers should be the anchors of any defensive line and represent the best options for Force Concentrations and targets for Funneling. I recommend placing them directly along but routes to the ARC sticking out from the walls if possible and covering as many angles as possible. It is desirable to pull bugs onto bunkers rather than walls as their superior health and defensibility make them easier to defend and repair. A good base will maximize the surface area of bunker available for bugs to attack and will place bunkers so that they attack the bunker before the trying to hit the far weaker walls.
For example, here is a very simplified scenario of suboptimal bunker usage:
In this layout, the bunker effectively defends one chokepoint, and has line of sight on the other if the wall should fall, but it does not physically block the bugs on the right if they should breach the small wall.
Consider instead, the following usage:
In this layout, the bunker does not directly block the chokepoint, but does lie along the most direct paths between the bugs and the ARC from both entrances. This will naturally funnel the bulk of the bugs onto the bunker, where they can be easily destroyed. The bunker does not need to actually block the chokepoint, most of the bugs will still hit it rather than the surrounding walls if it is along the most direct path to the ARC. Rather than pulling some of the bugs onto a weak wall, this layout concentrates the bugs onto the far tougher bunker. In both examples, there would likely be additional defenses and terrain complications, but I have simplified this scenario to illustrate bunker usage.
B. Scale
Above all, keep it simple – Auguste Escoffier, providing some advice I perhaps should have heeded before I set out to write this damn thing.
As the previous example implied, a smaller more compact base can be superior to a large base. I will not belabor the point as I have previously mentioned it several times, but a smaller base is more navigable, cheaper, and concentrates both defenders and bugs in favorable ways. Even if you have extra resources, do not neuter a good compact base with strong external sight lines and internal navigability by adding unnecessary outer or inner walls. Keep it as small as possible and no smaller.
C. Ammunition Box Placement
Don’t be a damned ammunition wagon. Be a Rifle! – Carl R. Rogers
Ammunition is stored in the bunkers. Period. Every second the troopers run around the base retrieving ammunition is time they are not fighting or repairing. Put the ammo where they do the shooting, which if you’ve done your job well, will be the bunkers. Standardize this, make it law, ensure that never again will anyone be unsure of where to look to find ammo.
D. Electric Wall placement
Controversy is only dreaded by the advocates of error – Benjamin Rush, foreshadowing that I am about to piss everybody off.
Stop putting electric walls around the ARC. It is far better to use your limited supply of extremely powerful stunwalls to strengthen your frontline than to stick them far in the rear as a last-ditch backup for failure. The Strongline approach is all about committing to a strong front line which can be relied on not to fold. Electric walls are simply too powerful and too expensive to be used only as backup. Electric walls can be easily shot through and thus it makes the most sense to place them in front of bunkers as your first line of defense. They function best delaying/holding bugs off bunkers to increase bunker survivability. Place them in front of bunkers, in chokepoints if possible. When a front gets quiet, send a repairman out to repair them. Bunkers with forward E-walls is an incredibly strong and effective combo and should not be overlooked.
Strongline Base Design
If everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn’t thinking - Patton.
To illustrate the practice of Strongline Base Design Theory, there is an attached example diagram. This example illustrates a simple but ideal base design. It is in a simplified environment without complex elevation changes, and with a centrally located ARC for clarity. Real implementation will necessarily deviate from this ideal configuration, but this provides a clear view into the fundamentals of Strongline design.
The ideal here is to hold a strong single frontline. Note that the interior of the base has open routes for troopers to navigate between positions, has only 1 very minor level of redundancy (the interior wall around the ARC), is compact to concentrate defenders in a few critical locations, funnels the bugs effectively onto those locations, and is extremely cost effective. This base would likely withstand attacks far stronger than its cost would suggest and could be built and manned quickly and easily. If you have extra resources, a second layer of exterior walls in some places to carefully reinforce vulnerable segments could be added, but I have kept the diagram simple to illustrate key principles.
Prevailing Base Design Theory: Aggressive Layering
I will also provide an example of the typical Aggressive Layering Type base design. This design is extremely expensive, usually pushes directly up to the entry points to try and control the entire area, then fills in layers of redundancy behind that. These layers are effective at containing breaches, but their difficult navigability, lack of force concentration, and ineffective funneling make it difficult to prevent, predict, or contain breaches. They are redeemed only by their immense redundancy, which unfortunately comes at a high resource cost. This arrangement is still superior to many of the bases where players randomly place walls, bunkers, and turrets, but it is far from optimal.
This layout, while suboptimal, would likely still survive, but would consume far more time and resources to construct.
1. Gates
Gates are generally bad. They break up your walls by not having a connecting raised walking area. They are often accidentally left open. They don’t speed up navigation as the time to open and close them is significant. And finally, they are redundant with walls and bunkers as both can be easily climbed. Gates are not needed, just build walls and bunkers unless you find yourself in the very specific situation of needing access up a ramp, in which case it is impossible to climb a wall/bunker. Gates have a small number of situational usages such as in tunnels where bunkers/walls are not easily climbable.
2. Build Order
Bunkers first, then ramp walls and walls, then auxiliary defenses. Fully plan out and lock in your 4 bunkers as soon as possible. Then build ramp walls and walls to seal off approaches completely. Finally, place turrets, towers, and electric walls as needed to complete your defense. Only then should you spend time or resources on costly redundant internal defenses.
3. Turret Placement
Turrets are best placed in the center of bunker roofs. If you’ve done your job, the bunkers will see the most action and thus benefit the most from turrets. There is some argument for putting turrets on the bug-facing edge of bunkers, as this enables them to shoot down into bugs directly abutting the bunker. However, they can be more easily damaged by the bugs in this edge-placement, and having one more thing to worry about repairing is not optimal. If the bunkers and base have been designed with good Funneling, there should be plenty of bugs approaching but not yet abutting the bunker for a center mounted turret to engage at any time. Troopers inside can and should handle any that reach the bunker itself.
4. Tower Placement
Generally, depends on the terrain and situation. If no obviously preferable locations occur to you, placing them on the leading edge of the bunker is usually excellent. While they will take damage from bugs, it is less severe if a tower becomes damaged/destroyed than if a turret were at risk, and the bunker edge-mounted towers provide excellent forward firing positions/sniper nests.
5. Kill Mazes
I have not tested this yet, but I have seen it proposed so it bears mentioning. Instead of blocking bugs’ access to the ARC, build a winding but open path. Basically, force them to play a tower defense game with you. I have not tested to see if the bug AI will follow a long but open path or if they will attempt to smash through to create a shorter path but kill mazes could be a very interesting solution.
6. Complex Structures
More complex structures like bastions, starforts, or U-shaped kill boxes are possible, but I have not thoroughly experimented with them. Maybe in a future even more insane document.

2023.06.01 20:46 Gamemasterone Realtek Demos WiFi 7 at Computex 2023

Considering all the buzz around WiFi 7, there weren't many live demos at Computex, but Realtek had a demo running in its suite at the show. Realtek will offer both client and routeAP solutions, with their client product which goes under the RTL8922AE model name, coming in M.2 2230 and 1620 formats, where the latter is a solder down module. To simulate a real world scenario, Realtek was running a second radio to cause some additional interference, but the RTL8922AE test setup was still capable of delivering between 1,750 and 1,950 Mbps, which is almost twice as fast as WiFi 6, using a similar 2x2 antenna setup. This was obviously over a fairly short distance, so the question is how well WiFi 7 will work over longer distances.
The RTL8922AE has a claimed maximum sync speed of 2800 Mbps when connected to the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands simultaneously and combining the bandwidth of both bands. However, it is limited to a 160 MHz channel bandwidth, whereas WiFi 7 can go up to a 320 MHz wide channel, but it's unclear if competing first gen clients will support this. The RTL8922AE also incorporates support for Bluetooth 5.4 and is as far as we're aware one of the first WiFi chips to support the upcoming standard that mostly focuses on improving BLE Audio and Auracast support. The RTL8922AE should launch sometime in the fourth quarter this year to Realtek's customers, so it might not appear on the market until early 2024.

2023.06.01 20:46 thebeastTREVY I feel stuck.

Right now I'm sitting at my computer trying to apply for jobs. I apply for one and I'm feeling a little confident. Then I go to apply for the next one and it prompts me to submit a resume or a cover letter. An instant defeated feeling. I have made cover letters and resumes in the past but now it just feels hopeless.
I'm 30 years old and I don't have a lot of prestigious accomplishments about myself. I dropped out of community college when I was 23 and I haven't had any jobs that I have been proud of to talk about my achievements of. I personally think I have what it takes to do an array of jobs but most of them want experience in the field to even hope for a chance at employment. I could write a cover letter expressing my interest and benefits to working for these companies but without any good connections or previous experience, how am supposed to find the right career for me?
I grew up in foster care to later be adopted into a home with parents that didnt take any time in their life to guide me even in the slightest. I left at 18 to live a better life and threw myself to the wolves. My motivation has been twiddled down to absolutely nothing. I just wish I had that motivation that I had leaving home. That undying sense that I could accomplish anything. Now it just seems hopeless and I dont know what to do about getting a stable well paying job to keep me moving forward.

Well it involves more than just other accounts on unaffiliated rooted devices.... It involves the deep down personal level that touches ones heart, so close you can taste it just by breathing the fumes of it in.... Until you finally take a massive forcefully fed bite. Disorienting all the organized cancellation and lies and indoctrination (oh my!)
You like cancel culture? You like to silence what destroys lives and people don't care about? Maybe all they have are these outlets and the crowd locally who was wise enough to take my hand and learn hypnosis and so much more...? Yet they still don't care......... Everybody just uses it for themselves.....
I've given people the gift of magic to walk upon society freely without identifying them in the way I identify myself in order to expose pure evil.... & The repayment I get is testing of my abilities in order to allow KAMDYN in here?!? Thanks again MOM but no thanks. But thanks for teaching me I can't fuckin trust mother fuckin (literally) anybody. Nobody new is to be trusted on these devices or any work environment connected to them, & this rule started so long ago among agreed upon creation of the Facebook that it's far from new anymore.... This rule started to protect the innocent and I know it seems as if I have endangered innocents merely by making them aware to such things... Yet think of how we KNOW your endangering children through indoctrination in the schools especially..... You believe you are helping children by indoctrinating them and feeding them bullshit right? Even though it's well damn known and established and pushed that it's harmful information........
This is my struggle woke people.... This is what I deal with.... Because I'm ready to just give up on everything and live in a facility I am set to expose and upload countless documents and footage of technically unethical hypnosis although it doesn't involve rape or incest like the hypnosis that was forced upon me.... I debate daily and struggle releasing this footage..... But I don't want the methods used on children the way they were used on the children who were made to abuse me alongside the adults who perpetrated it....
I only wanted good people with good motives to know the magic and be able to use it and walk freely among society without a label the way I wear this label that I now wish.... I no longer even existed to hold..........
I'm sorry nobody believes me......
I'm sorry everybody wants to cancel me.....

2023.06.01 20:42 thedrolick The Definitive, Redditor-Friendly Guide to Creating Your Google Knowledge Panel

Hey and welcome to the GoogleKnowledgePanels subreddit! This is a subreddit dedicated to discovering and exploring various methods and strategies of securing a Google Knowledge Panel for a brand or person. My name is Nikolas Lemmel and I’m the team-lead at a boutique digital agency by the name of Maximatic Media. As we’ve recently begun offering Google Knowledge Panel creation services, I’ve decided to open this sub in hopes of sparking a discussion on various working and non-working knowledge graph generation methods for Google. I’m hoping to start the birth of this sub off strong so I’m gonna try to provide an in-depth overview of what we’ve learned about creating and stabilizing Google knowledge panels thus far as a company. If you have any experience with either of these components or would like to share one that we’ve yet to cover, please feel free to comment down below.
The Notability Factor
So diving right into the nitty-gritty of GKP creation, we must first cover the concept of notability; arguably, the most important aspect out of all of the points I’ll be covering in this guide. Notability in the context of GKPs simply means how often reputable, secondary sources are referencing you in their media output. Said references come in many forms, whether it be a full feature article, a short bio in a listicle or just a basic citation. However, not all references are made equal. Some references carry significantly more weight than others, either due to its “comprehensiveness” (i.e. a full feature article with the sole focus being on you) or the “reputability” of the source doing the referencing (i.e. mentioned in Forbes vs mentioned in “Biznes-News-Blog”).
Let’s first delve into the topic of comprehensiveness. The comprehensiveness of your reference can be calculated by just a couple factors: the word count of the article, the keyword density of your entity’s name within said article and whether the entity is being referenced in the title/headline of the article. These three components determine the significance laid upon the entity by the reporting outlet. The more extensive the coverage, the higher the significance in the eyes of Google (i.e. a full-feature, 750-word article on Forbes vs a 150 word entry in “Top 30 E-Commerce Businesses of 2023” listicle on Forbes).
The Influence of Topical Relevance
Topical relevance also plays a role in the equation as the contents of the reference should be somewhat aligned with what other sources are discussing when mentioning your entity’s name. If every article that your entity appears in has a completely different context or is overly-generalized, it decreases Google’s certitude of what it truly knows about said entity. That’s largely why it’s not recommended to always opt for brand mentions or stuff keywords into random guest posts as it can drastically impact what Google thinks it knows about you.
Now that we’ve covered what I mean by “comprehensiveness”, let’s talk about the other component influencing the power of your media coverage: reputability. The concept of reputability is basically as straightforward as it gets. Just about any semi-famous news or media outlet that you can think of is viewed as a “reputable” source by Google. The likes of Forbes, Mashable, USA Today, etc are all stellar examples of significant coverage that corroborates you or your brand as a notable entity in the eyes of Google. However, a full feature article on each of those aforementioned sites costs $15,000, $2,400 and $6,500 respectively. If you as an entity see no utility in being featured on these media outlets beyond simply meeting the eligibility criteria for a Google Knowledge Panel, it makes little sense to purchase those placements.
The Role of Domain Authority
This is where a more esoteric metric comes into play: Domain Authority. A DA score is effectively a ranking assigned to a domain which we can use to assess any given site’s authority in comparison to the rest of the web. It is calculated using the domain’s age, the amount of other sites referring to it and the reputability of said referrals. Basically the same criteria influencing your probability of getting a GKP but quantified by a score from 1 to 100. Now let’s return back to three examples of reputable media outlets I’ve given above: Forbes, Mashable and USA Today. Forbes has a DA score of 95, Mashable has a DA score of 92 and USA Today has a DA score of 94. So all in all, all three publications are highly renowned, outpacing the vast majority of other sites on the web with scores of 90 and above. However, if referring back to the pricing of each placement, we see a pretty drastic incongruence with the value derived from each media outlet in the context of GKP creation. Forbes, despite being one measly basis point off of USA Today’s DA score, carries more than a 200% higher price tag. Now sure, Forbes has a significantly higher readership and holds far more clout than USA Today but if focusing solely on its impact in the SEO space, it really doesn’t warrant the price you pay for it when compared to other viable alternatives.
And these are just the three sites we’ve mentioned so far. Take a look at the following spreadsheet containing 400+ available media placements and keep an eye on the DA column:
As you scroll through, you’ll find that there are a plethora of Google-News-Approved sites that have a relatively high DA despite costing a fraction of what the internationally distinguished media outlets cost. Sites like Village Voice, HackerNoon, Times of Malta, Chiang Rai Times, etc. Now granted, they don’t exactly pack the same sort of punch that Forbes does but in the context of a Google Knowledge Panel, you are considerably better off securing five B-tier placements in comparison to a singular A tier placement. So long as you are not cheaping out by opting for “Biznes-News-Blog” as your referring source and stick to Google-News-Approved publications, a varied list of reputable placements within your set-up (which we’ll be covering later in the guide) will take you much further than just one extremely reputable reference.
The Question of Quantity
A pretty common question we get asked in our GKP consultations with clients is what amount of references guarantees a panel. What is the absolute minimum that I can get away with? And truth be told, we honestly have a hard time answering this question as we don’t truly know. Without an inside look at the inner-workings of Google’s GKP algorithm, it’s impossible to say what the actual amount is. The variables it utilizes are dynamic and there isn’t a constant sum that can be calculated across all cases. We’ve witnessed a client get a GKP with just three mid-tier references in their Schema and we’ve also witnessed a client fail to get a GKP with upwards of 20 strong references.
Having said that though, if taking into account the median number of references across all of our successful cases, a good benchmark to aim for would be roughly 8 semi-strong, corroborating references with a DA of 70 and above. Again, this number is not set-in-stone and may vary contingent on the amount of “keyword-pollution” (i.e. other entities vying for the same moniker) occurring for your entity’s name along with other factors only Google is cognizant of.
Debunking the Myth: The Wikipedia-GKP Connection
Now, let's clear up a common misconception that I've seen floating around: having a Wikipedia page is not a prerequisite for getting a Knowledge Panel. Our anecdotal experience proves no solid line connecting the two. There is absolutely no need to worry about going through the hoops and hurdles of Wikipedia to earn your spot in the Knowledge Graph.
A Wikipedia page is only useful in the context of adding a short bio within your Knowledge Panel which can only be derived from a Wikipedia entry. Beyond that, nothing else about the panel changes. You can still have your website, your logo/image, your social media links and everything else that makes a panel a useful tool within one’s online reputation management’s arsenal.
Believe it or not, securing a stickied Wikipedia page is far, far more difficult than obtaining a GKP. A source like Daily Mail, a highly reputable reference in the eyes of Google, is seen as an “untrustworthy”, “tabloid-like” source of information in the eyes of Wikipedia. As I’ve explained above regarding the Forbes placement, unless you have a separate need for a Wikipedia page beyond its utility in the GKP context, it makes little sense to go through the effort of establishing it. However, if you’re dead-set on getting a Wikipedia page for your personal or corporate brand, you can check out our separate guide about successfully acquiring a Wikipedia page on WikipediaPublishing. Set-Up
Now that we’ve extensively covered the topic of notability, this brings us to the following component which is the nice and robo-friendly organization of your notability indicators. This is where your Schema comes in. is a collaborative initiative started by major search engines, including Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Yandex, to create a shared vocabulary that webmasters can use to structure metadata on their websites. It's basically a form of microdata, a type of HTML specification used to nest metadata within existing content on web pages. When implemented correctly, a Schema markup can significantly improve your presence in the SERPs by helping search engines understand your content more efficiently as soon as it surfaces on the web.
In the context of a Google Knowledge Panel, using a Schema markup eliminates the degree of guess-work involved on Google’s end to determine which piece of content belongs to your entity and which doesn’t. This is what enables Google's algorithm to use this structured data to generate rich, informative search results – the kind that Knowledge Panels are known for. This part is especially crucial to those of you who are competing for the same name in the SERPs.
Here's how you'd go about setting up a markup:
Step 1: Identify Your Schema Type
Choose the right type of markup that suits your content. There are hundreds of Schema types available, from creative works (like books, movies, and music) to organizations, persons, places, and more.
Step 2: Generate Your Markup
Once you've identified your Schema type, use a tool like Google's Structured Data Markup Helper or JSON-LD Schema Generator to create your markup. These tools are user-friendly and guide you through the process step-by-step.
Step 3: Implement Your Markup
Once generated, this markup needs to be added to the HTML of your website. The placement of the markup will depend on the type of Schema you're using and the CMS of your site.
Step 4: Test Your Markup
After implementation, use Google's Rich Results Test to verify if your markup is correctly implemented and can be read by Google.
Remember, adding markup to your site does not guarantee a Knowledge Panel, but it does indeed increase your chances by helping Google better understand and represent your content. It's just one piece of the puzzle in creating an informative, robust online presence that can contribute to your GKP creation.
In bringing this all together, let me say this: carving out your space on the web with a Google Knowledge Panel is a fine-tuned mixture of art, science, and a bit of ol’ fashioned luck. We've talked at length about the importance of building notability, making sure we're being talked about in all the right places and in the right way. We've also stressed the need to take stock of the value each media placement brings to the table, balancing their domain authority and cost to get the most bang for our buck (refer back to the spreadsheet).
We've also established that there's no magic number of references that'll open the GKP gates for us. Like a lot of things in life, it’s not just about quantity but quality and relevance that counts. And although having a Wikipedia page may seem like the golden ticket, it's not the be-all and end-all; you can absolutely secure a GKP without one.
As for structuring our online presence for Google’s scrapers, using a markup is a crucial piece of the puzzle. It’s like leaving breadcrumbs for Google's algorithm, making sure it can effortlessly find and understand our content. The detailed steps we've covered should help guide you through this process, but remember, it’s not a guarantee for a panel - just a tool in your arsenal.
At the end of the day, there isn't a foolproof recipe for securing a GKP. The path to success can vary wildly, each one unique and filled with its own set of disadvantages. But with some patience, a touch of strategy, and a deep understanding of how Google's algorithm works, we can certainly increase our odds.
Hopefully, y’all found this sub’s first post to be useful and a good introduction into the world of GKP creation. Myself and my team member, Marcus will be sticking around for an AMA on this post in case people have questions regarding any of the factors we’ve covered in this guide. Don’t forget guys, we started this subreddit out of the desire to make the process of securing a GKP less daunting and more of a community endeavor. It's a place where we can share our triumphs and challenges, learn from each other, and navigate the GKP landscape together. So whether you’re a newbie trying to secure your own panel or an SEO professional with years of experience in the field, please do not hesitate to share your journeys along with any factors you’ve found to have an impact that we failed to cover in the guide.
Thanks for reading!

2023.06.01 20:42 K_AllieNotes [Misc] why I'm not a fan of vitamin c serums

Heyo! I've noticed this ingredient is praised quite a lot, and quite excessively. I figured I'd share some information many people don't seem to take into consideration when it comes to vitamin c serums.
Firstly, the way I see skincare is biological. I have a nursing degree with a focus on chemistry more than patient care (lab work).
So, this is going to be all about aleviating actual skin issues, not any possible anti aging benefits vitamin c may have.
  1. Vitamin c serums can and do cause oxidative stress, therefore skin damage
Vitamin c also becomes oxidative by interacting with metal. Where do we find metal? Due to polution, in the air. So as you apply it topically, you already have two factors causing oxidation.
  1. Vitamin c doesn't play with compounds found in cosmetic products
-copper, as it becomes more popular in skincare and other products, you might be interacting with it without knowing
-phosphates are in everything, from haircare to foundation
There are more reasons besides these 2, such as colagen breakdown over time with continuous use of vitamin c serums.
Alternative? Wash off masks, since they rely on glycerin/oil bases and don't remain on the skin for that long.
