Good day everyone. I bought the octopus pro from a local retailer to replace my v1.1 which seems to have stopped sending power to the fan headers. The pro will only connect to my Rpi if I flash the firmware-F429-USB.bin from the BTT GitHub but gives me an error:
MCU Protocol error This is frequently caused by running an older version of the firmware on the MCU(s). Fix by recompiling and flashing the firmware. Your Klipper version is: v0.11.0-148-g52f4e20c MCU(s) which should be updated: mcu: Current version v0. 10.0-66-g5c10001b

According to University of New South Wales sustainability expert Tommy Wiedmann, "It's the first-time greenhouse gas emissions reduction has been written into Australian law."
The new legislation, which affects coal, gas and oil industries, will come into effect in July and will likely put at least a temporary stop to what Australians have called the "Climate wars."
Called the "Safeguard Mechanism" reform, the legislation is key to the Labor government's pledge to cut emissions by 43% by 2030 compared to 2005 emissions levels.
The new laws form the basis of Australia's pledge to reach net zero emissions by 2050.
Aluminum smelters, coal mines, oil refineries and other large polluters will be forced to cut their emissions by 4.9% each year or pay for carbon credits to reach the target.
The new law requires all new gas projects in the Beetaloo Basin to have net zero carbon emissions and new gas fields supplying existing liquefied natural gas plants to have net zero reservoir emissions, imposing new costs.

One of the things that was fun and humorous in "The Fifth Element" , was Dallas' bitter NY-accent mother. It would make playthroughs unique if character creation included a process that generated NPCs related to a backstory unique to your character. Parents, brothers and sisters, grand parents, ex-wives, kids, a nemesis, mentor, friends, old flames, war buddies, etc. These NPCs could be worked into missions (obvious rescue but much more), might have issues that require the characters attention or money, might be useful resources or create moral dilemmas.
One of the things I've noticed about Skyrim, is that after ~level 20, financial and other material/equipment issues tend to disappear. Collecting followers puts all these new people, by choice, in the game, and they adore the character as much as the character adores them. The backstory NPCs could offer all sorts of interactions that adored and adoring NPCs can't. Anything from a rich uncle to a strung-out child, to a fawning but troubled ex.
I think it would be fairly easily implemented with a set of tables to roll the dice (in AD&D terms) on. The user ought to be able to influence the density and difficulty of the backstory NPCs, and then be able to veto specific auto-generated NPCs. Less experienced players might want fewer and more helpful backstory NPCs. Experienced players might want many problematic backstory NPCs. Eventually, the modding community will create many NPCs to add to the game, but they wouldn't be pre-existent to the start of play. I'd be happy with a standard family, but want so much more.

My mother comes from a Russian community in Eastern Washington / North Idaho in the US. I speak Russian fluently; top to bottom. I have a friend who wants me to go with him to Poland to “translate” for him; however, I tried to inform him that the people in Poland speak Russian. Now, I’m completely ignorant as to how things work in Eastern Europe, but what I do know is that Poland has its own language and history that is separate from Russia. Most educated individuals know that this is obvious. That being said, I would still like to go on this trip. I need a break from the constant drama and division in the United States.
Will the Russian language at least help me slightly navigate? How many people in Poland actually speak Russian? Will I be seen as weird for being biracial AND speaking a foreign language that’s not English?
Would I be better off just speaking English?

I'm from the Midwest, and moved away to the West Coast for a job 7 years ago. My fiance and I were in the position to buy a house last year, and we decided to make the move back to my home state ahead of having kids and establishing ourselves since we were both remote.
In short, it hasn't been great. We're far from the friends in the city, my family only calls me when they need help and have high expectations from me. I miss our community and nature from the West Coast. Our jobs are also
Finance details:
We bought our house for 800k, with a 4.25% interest rate. We currently pay 4300 per month including property tax + insurance.
Renting
We found a property management company that:
- is highly rated - has a very detailed and spelled out process, and gave us samples of what they look for with move out reports (they photograph all interiors including doors, windows, check that everything works, etc) - manages other homes in the area/other suburbs, including homes that are higher end/larger than ours
They charge a 6% fee, a $5 administrator fee, and a yearly $99 tax preparation fee. They will find and screen tenants to sign a lease up to 18 months, for which they charge one months rent for new tenants, or a renewal fee of 25%.
Our property taxes and insurance will go up slightly, so let's say 4400 for now. The PM estimated a rent range of 5300-5600. Calculating estimated monthly profits below for the low and high range...
New tenant case:5300-5300/12-5-99/12-4400 = 445 or5600-5600/12-5-99/12-4400 = 720
Resign case:5300-(5300*.25)/12-5-99/12-4400 = 776 or5600-(5600*.25)/12-5-99/12-4400 = 1070

We have a 4b/3.5b with a fenced yard. We are in a desirable suburb, walking distance to: a large downtown, K-12 schools (which are highly rated), and the train station which takes you straight downtown. There is no inventory in our immediate area, and our realtor looked at similar comps in the area and estimated we could list at 870k and it could go even higher, but it all depends of course. This would net us around 70k, but closing costs to sell are estimated to be 68k, and we paid 17k in closing costs to buy, so this would be a net negative unless the house went into a bidding war.

- Pros: Build equity, higher rent range would attract higher income families which are less likely to damage the place, can still make a profit with PM
- Cons:
- The house is very old (early 1900s) but almost completely rehabbed. Worried if tenants turn off heat and pipes freeze? Trash the place? Anxiety about something happening to our expensive asset.
- I'm not sure if our house is actually worth the +70k or if it's just that there is literally no inventory. It's got modern finishes and a modern look, but I worry that if we want to sell later and there are more homes on the market, the value would go down.
- If we wanted to sell later it would need to be staged and dealt with remotely, which could be a hassle, but I trust and like our RE agent for this.
- Sell
- We could stand to either lose 20k (which would be like the cost of renting for the year) or break even. I don't think I ever want to move back (but maybe having kids will change this? hard to tell), so we can put this chapter to rest and move on.
