This will be a longwinded discourse, it's an ongoing random thought. It's going to be contentious perhaps, but I hope not, because that's not where I'm coming from at all. I'd like to think I've reached a point in which I'm not really all that concerned about any given person's qualifiers anymore.
They don't really tell me much about who that person is. And that's what kind of gets lost in a lot of this stuff.
We tend to fuck up group dynamics with individuals in ways that promote division. I'm not really about that. I don't care what your ideologies or identifiers are.
Be you. I'm okay with it because I don't particularly give a shit. Right?
I say that with a loving kindness that the words probably do not convey. But that's true too. I wish the best for each of you. A better world for you, is a better world for me. It's not altruism, it's just reality.
Where technology is taking us, where it already has? It's shown us that it doesn't really matter what your qualifiers are at all. Just your ideas. Look at Reddit. For all of its cesspool nature, it got that right.
Can I be honest. If I'm walking down the street in a bad neighborhood of a city, at 3 in the morning. And down the sidewalk comes a group that looks like trouble?
I'm probably going to walk to the other side of the street.
I think that's an appropriate behavior given the circumstances I'm presented with. Does the skin color of this group matter to me? Not a fucking bit. I'd be pissing my pants terrified regardless. It's a group of people that seem to be looking for trouble at 3am in a bad neighborhood.
We have to make assumptions in life. I don't get offended when I'm mistaken for a woman over the phone or drive-thru. I don't particularly enjoy the experience. But I get it. It happens enough that I must have an effeminate voice. Not the manly man my father would have been proud of, but you know what? Doesn't fucking matter. Awkard moments are the spice of life after all.
I get that people mistake me for a Wal-mart employee. Again, never a pleasant situation. But I'm just that guy that looks like he might know something or at least be helpful. And I dress like I belong there. It is what it is.
I'm not advocating racism. I'm not advocating hatred. That does truly exist in this world and it does none of us a service to ignore it or pretend as if it didn't. But it's not what I'm advocating at all. I hope the people that have hate in their hearts can find the opportunity to educate themselves to a point in which its gone. Its no service to them either. It's suboptimal for our species.
This isn't that.
This is merely pointing out that not everything is inherently and individually offensive. That we have stereotypes. That it's not always appropriate to apply them, but certainly there are times in which we do, to our benefit.
Most people, at least in my person estimate, don't take it as fact; Most people aren't hateful. We're all selectively tribal however. That leads every single one of us on this planet to have preference towards the people most like us. But it's not based on race, or sex, or gender, or anything else. It's based on proximity. Who you grew up with.
We confuse that a lot.

There is an idea floating around metaphysical schools that prior to our birth, we choose our parents and the general circumstances of our being here. Some say that this is related to karma or the evolution of the soul reaching back toward the creator. Either way, if you accept this, you also have to accept responsibility for your choices, even ones related to your upbringing.
In the big picture scheme of things, I struggle with letting go of feeling like I need to be in control. It's what's messed up every relationship that I wanted and the motivation for every relationship with someone that i didn't want. I didn't want to be alone. I had to be in control of my loneliness. I was scared of being so emotionally connected to someone, even though that's what I wanted, so I had to try to set limits on it, and I ended up killing it. True love has no limits though. You just have to let it be.
This feeling that I some how know better, that I know what I want, honestly hasn't gotten me anywhere. I can make an online dating profile, answer 500 questions, and then look at a bunch of pictures and blurbs, and still not get anywhere except my ego feeling inflated for a moment before I feel disgusted.
Then I see this guy I dated and feel disappointment. He was someone I wanted, that I love that I was scared to love. I couldn't just let it be what it was. And I want to let him go and be happy for him in his life.
So I deleted my dating profiles. I'm not going to look for what I think I want. I'm going to let what I need come to me. And just let things be what they are.

2023.06.04 16:23 DropStinking2022 Alcohol Losing its Luster

I hung out with a buddy last night and he let me know he had stopped drinking which was awesome. I felt really dumb having a beer in my hand. I've been trying for years to quit with some success. It was very inspiring to see him alcohol free, especially since he and I have had quite a few rowdy drunken nights together lol.
Anyways it helped me realize I don't need it to have fun. I've identified the reason I still imbibe (I've drastically cut down, at least) is that I feel like I need it to have fun. Which really sucks. But I feel like I'm getting over that fallacy.
I'm getting married later this year and that is an event surrounded with booze. I still need to plan my bachelor party. Part of me wants to just do a solo camping trip so I won't feel the need to organize a night out with the boys getting blackout drunk. And then there's the open bar at my wedding. Don't get me wrong I absolutely can't wait to get married, I just am worried about booze. I don't think I'm gonna get wasted and make an ass of myself, but I'd rather not have it dull my big day.

For context my supposed family consist of me (21 M), my childhood friend (20 M) and his boyfriend (20 M) who i consider my best friend the first time we met. So the three of us are unexpectedly close with all the shite that happened. Childhood friend and i had a bit of history where i was a bit of an asshole but im trying to reconcile that day by day and i still do. I get along with his BF really unexpectedly too we had the same interests and made it easier for us to bond. All three of us used to confide with each other. If those two are having a lovers tift i usually console the both of em, reassuring their asses, comforting them, hell covering for them. They do the same thing for me too. Whenever i get anxious, cry when im drunk, make a whole lot of bad decisions since i hate myself. They were there for me. Even with our history everything was good.
There are times where i was being dumb too. I make them mad but we always go back. We try to listen to each other, understand our boundaries and learn. We had a rule when one is mad we just let them walk away and wait since they always said no matter how we fuck up they’ll come back. And i……i always believe that cause they do. I say to them face to face that they are my chosen family. They fucking appreciated that notion. I show to them the way i show love and they do the same. The three of us are tight even though im kinda in a awkward position but they nevermind that.
Which makes this decision so fucking hard. Okay so one time i had a bit of a petty moment. I invited those two to hang for a while they agreed but that time, oof. I never felt so fucking alone in my fucking life. I was always ahead when walking, i never got into the conversations, i felt like a dog walking with their owner. If they just said they wanted to be on a date i wouldve just left in the instant. I would always respect their time. But damn i really fucking hated that feeling. Worse walking back to the place we were hanging out, i just went into the bathroom and when i looked back theyre gone. Not so much a goodbye and shit that hurt so much. They were so into each other worlds that i felt such a stranger to them.
So i apllied our rule took me a few days but i sorted myself out and just admit i am being difficult, id just adjust for them. But the moment i saw them and tried to talk to them. One was clueless about what was happening while the other one was in a mood andwasnt even looking at me. I stayed and holy fork it was just like last time but worse. My existence wasnt being acknowledge.
Its been a month. I was drunk a lot times that month and tried to talk to them the whole time since i cant muster up the courage to talk to them in person. But all those chat all those apologies and all those of times just wanting an answer. I was met with a read and silence.
Im not a family to them the way i see them. It hurts and im just thinking of cutting them since i also have some dignity and self respect i dont wanna keep on grovelling waiting for an answer even though how badly i want to go back.
Mind this is how i see it i dont know how those two are coping but they have each other for that. Theyre not gonna lose anything if i leave but i am losing people i genuinely love.

It's starting to get worse, for the bast 4 nights I've had dreams, dreams ive never had before, it wad about her, my crush and now my best friend. Only we where together, and it looked and felt perfect, like my whole world became heaven. I've not told anyone but one of my firends said that it's un healthy for me to feel this way and not tell her
I have noticed some difference/progression in that we have started to say "I love you" but it hurts for me to say it, since I know she doesn't mean it the same way I do. She also corrected me when I said "Love you too" and apparently there was a difference between 'I love you' and 'I love you too'
Another thing to be mentioned is that she once said "I love you, more than you'll ever know" is this meaning something?
I know this is a mess to read but it's just my thought process

Hey there, I don't have much hope but if anyone can help that would be great
First, I'd like to apologize if I mess up the flair or anything, it's my very first post on this sub
A long time ago (june 2020 actually) I used to use the avatar that you will see down below, by a complete random chance I also met its author, a woman, on a random world...
Long story short, the avatar and the world it was in were, I guess, deleted as I don't find the world anymore in my favourites and the avatar became unavailable (and as such, it does not display the author anymore)
If any of you guys know, could you tell me who did it ? I would love to contact her and ask if/where I can recover this avatar, and also thank her, because it may sound dumb but this specific avatar means A LOT to me (I fell in love with it, it helped me tremendously to fight off dysphoria) and not having it anymore is a big loss for me :(
I know there is likely almost 0% of chances I find the author, but I need to try anyway, finding it again would help
