2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-PRIX – ABB FIA Formula E Experience: Green Light
2023.06.09 23:30 khoafraelich789 2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-PRIX – ABB FIA Formula E Experience: Green Light
| Our guy is hooked after his first Formula E race weekend in Hyderabad https://preview.redd.it/6k6hhqrg6d3b1.png?width=1620&format=png&auto=webp&s=172e084ab70e9fdca44dd1d93588f32d5beb7a25 My love for motorsports began when I first saw Michael Schumacher’s scarlet red Ferrari on TV. It was annihilating everybody that came in its way, and I still vividly remember how the V10 engine’s howling sound made me feel as the Ferrari flew by. Fast forward to the present, nearly a week before Formula E made its debut in India on the streets of Hyderabad, Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc refreshed every Ferrari fan’s memories as he took the wheel of Michael’s precious scarlet red Ferrari from the 2003 season. The V10’s visceral sound is still echoing in my head as Charles lit up the Abu Dhabi race circuit in the F2003-GA. I’ve had a spell cast on my mind as a result of watching that video an unhealthy number of times. Call it good or bad, but times have changed, and we’re moving towards a world where motorsports is evolving at an alarming rate. Formula E is in its ninth season. The Gen3 cars this season are a massive improvement over the Gen2 cars from last year, for instance. They’re lighter, smaller, efficient, and can achieve a top speed of 322 kph. Currently, these are the fastest electric cars in the world. If I am being honest, I’ve never wholeheartedly followed Formula E; it was always an odd race or two every season. I was never interested in the electric whine of these cars until I saw them race in Hyderabad. Yes, you had to be present to see it. The sheer excitement, the wheel-to-wheel racing drama, and the brilliant drivers all contributing to the sport’s allure. It was all thanks to the Mahindra Racing team, who graciously hosted us at the ePrix, and the days leading up to the race weekend were quite the spectacle. As a motorsports fan, I was ecstatic to attend our country’s official FIA race event. After all, it had been nearly a decade since such an event had occurred at this level. This was also my first time attending an official FIA Formula E race weekend, from the Free Practice sessions to the final Race. I had to keep my excitement in check as I prepared for the long weekend of racing as both a fan and a motoring journalist. No pressure, then. Welcome Home! Mahindra Racing hosted a grand party in Tech Mahindra’s sprawling campus in the run up to the home race. I was excited to see the sharp-looking Gen3 cars and find out what all the fuss was about. Mahindra Racing’s Gen2 race car sat like a relic in one corner of the floor, next to a racing simulator. While the majority of the guests were drinking at the bar or sampling various appetisers, I went straight into the sim seat to experience Mahindra Racing’s M9Electro on the Diriyah Street Circuit. These race cars are no joke, and even driving them on a racing simulator for 45 minutes can feel like you’ve run 10 kilometres. Imagine driving them in real life on tight street circuits. We saw Mahindra Racing’s M9Electro with its three drivers for the season — Jehan Daruvala, Oliver Rowland, and Lucas di Grassi — at the unveiling. Jehan joins Oliver and Lucas as a Reserve Driver. They’ve been doing an excellent job, and the pace has been promising this season. Mahindra Racing’s best result came in the first round of the Mexico City ePrix, when Lucas qualified first and finished in a hard-fought third place. Nonetheless, the first three rounds taught the team a lot as they prepared for their first Home Race weekend. It was time to put the best foot forward on home soil. Sweating It Out After nearly waiting for half an hour in the long queue to get my media accreditation pass, I went straight to the pitlane to get a sneak peek inside the team’s garages. Most race circuits have all of the garages in one line along the start/finish line. However, because the pitlane in the Hyderabad Street Circuit is curved, some garages start from turn 17 onwards, while the rest are on the start/finish straight — fascinating. In the Nissan pits, the mechanics practised changing the front wing on the e-4ORCE 04 race car. Oh, and they’re really quick, because they did everything in less than 5 seconds. As expected, the Mahindra Racing garage was busier than the Jaguar TCS Racing Team garage. Officially, it was also the Jaguar team’s home race weekend. I’d just been strolling up and down the pitlane for about one hour, and the heat was already getting to me, and I wondered how these drivers manage in such conditions. During the Jaguar press conference, Sam Bird mentioned wearing a trash bag over his hoodie while working out, which prevents your body’s cooling circuit from working, causing more sweat and preventing your body temperature from dropping. That’s the level at which these athletes are willing to work, and I haven’t even mentioned the psychological side. Hearing that gave me just enough motivation to explore the Street Circuit on that scorching day, since I needed to scout a few locations for Kaizad to shoot the race from. Walk and Talk I had decided to cover the race from the media centre, because I had walked for more than 10 kilometres the day before. Kaizad was as thrilled as ever about doing some cardio with his camera equipment. This was also his first FIA event, and he wanted to make the most of it — by the way, many thanks to Nissan for hosting Kaizad at the ePrix. Now, not everyone was given access to the Grid start; only a few photographers from the media centre were randomly chosen for it. As it turns out, this was Kaizad’s lucky day as he was one of them. As for me, I was patiently waiting in the media centre for the race to begin. When like-minded people who are passionate about racing come together to watch a race, there is never a dull moment. When one of the home team’s drivers overtook or gained a place, I could hear cheers from one area of the media centre. There was also a lot of swearing and nail-biting. It was a thrill to see everyone celebrate the drivers who stood on the podium at the end of the race. Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Penske) drove a terrific race to hold off Nick Cassidy (Envision Racing), who had a massive battery advantage but couldn’t capitalise on it owing to the safety cars. The fact that the electric whine from these race cars sounded like my vacuum cleaner was no longer bothering me. All that mattered was how these drivers maintained their composure on dusty tarmac with poor grip levels, while putting on a wonderful performance for motorsports enthusiasts. This is, at the end of the day, what we all want to see. Hardcore racing. I’m shocked that it only took one race weekend for me to become a Formula E follower. 2023.06.09 23:20 Commercial_Context_1 Frustrated....not sure what I got...gastro Dr. wanted invasive procedure as first line check. Help !
Frustrated... My stomach was hurting on left side right below my ribs, and about two inches left of my belly button for about a week (so above so they are about 4inches apart if you are 2 inches next to belly button and go Up..that be right below my ribs on left side.... it wasn't a crazy pain...just like a gnawing sensation maybe a burnin, poking pain it was constant... and when i ate i would get really bloated. was happening for about a week. I went to see my gastro...he was like, Endoscopy.. i'm like is there any other options.. he didn't mention anything he gave me a PPI since i turned down the endoscopy and went home.
at the time i never heard of H.Pylori or had any idea what was goin on... so because endoscopy is a bit invasive and i have crazy anxiety i declined... i then go online and read 80-90% of stomach ulcers is due to H Pylori and there have many tests. urea breath test. Stool antigen, even a blood test.... The doc, didn't mention NOT ONE OF THEM.
well because i'm the type to be proactive.. i self medicated with the standard quadruple therapy. bismuth. clarithromycin, amox, and metro... ( i know i shouldn't ) and a PPI. I'm on day 5 of 14. ( I Live in a country i can buy every single medicine i needed for about $30 usd for the entire 2 weeks. the pharmacy 100 feet from my home ) (endoscopy even here is $400)
I'm rather pissed as I still don't know if I have H. Pylori... and now the non-invasive tests are basically rendered useless....why the F. the doc didn't tell me as during that time i had literally fasted for 50 hours because maybe it would be good to kill germs i thought.
From day 1 to now, my pain has subsided, where it comes and goes... a week ago it was constant, all day all night...debilitating actually... not because it hurt so bad but because it was annoying.. pain was still maybe only a 3 but it sucked...but I'd say now its a 1....5 days in on anti-biotics and bismuth.... Bismuth actually helps alot...kind of knocks the pain out pretty much instantly ( within 30 min)
So i notice when i eat, sometimes it burns, again, same spot left side below the ribs....pain next to belly not so much anymore..but sometimes. and i still get bloating.
by the way i never had diarreah but my stool was green and what i would call fluffy 5-6 days ago.. now my stool is brown, tiny fluf... but it comes out great.. nice Long clean logs and i mean long like 2 foot brown snakes.. I mean I haven't had this great of Poo's in like 10 years. it all comes out. I'd say i poo about 2 times a day. day 1 it was like 5-6 times every time i ate...a few hours later it would come out didn't hurt...but looked odd in toilet.
My question for this board is what did an Ulcer feel like ? How hard is it to actually eradicate H. Pylori. ? What was the anti-biotic protocal you took and how many days was it, and did it work ? What foods should i be eating ?
My goal is to finish my self imposed Treatment since i already started and it seems to be working...and after 2 weeks i will go see my gastro and do all 3 tests, Endo, urea, and stool... just to be safe...make sure there's no stomach cancer or something crazy ominous looming around....and i'm a 43yr old male... any advice would be appreciated.

2023.06.09 23:16 Sea-Corgi2086 Is negotiation possible?
I (in Texas) recently applied to be a full time Pharmacy Tech at a CVS very close to me, among other places. I have a reasonable amount of experience, and have been getting interest from other companies as well. CVS offered me a position first, but at 16.25 per hour. I made 15 dollars in my first position ever as a part time tech at a Kroger, and I know from friends other companies would be starting me at 17 at least. I'm not particularly attached to this specific location. It is convenient, but not convenient enough to be underpaid.
My question, does anyone have experience negotiating their hourly rate before accepting employment? Will they leave me hanging and waiting for days just to tell me no? I don't want to miss out on somewhere else because i'm waiting for CVS to get back to me.

2023.06.09 22:37 Classic_Analysis8821 The importance of the right doctor
I'm seeing so many posts from folks who are struggling on their journey through initial diagnosis and treatment and many of these stories involve GPs or faceless telehealth clinics, experiences of being challenged, denied, and accused of drug seeking. I want to share my experience to give folks some hope and hopefully give a little push towards expending a bit more effort to find a permanent mental health medical professional because I feel like it will be so worth it for you to not settle
I was diagnosed as a teenager by a therapist who referred me to a neurologist (for the actual diagnosis) and then to a psychiatrist that I've been seeing for 15+ years now.
During my December session with him HE brought up the shortage. I am blessed to be able to pay out of pocket for whatever formulation is available and had been doing the legwork to find places that had it in stock. As a result I had not gone without meds but even sharing that experience he offered to switch me to a biosimilar through a mail order pharmacy that was more reliable in the experience of other patients. Things were going great but the reliability of that pharmacy began to worsen over time until last month when the mail order pharmacy literally waited a week to even ship my medication. I explained it to my doctor via email and within the hour--no further questions asked--he wrote a script for my old medication and phoned it in. No third degree, no 'sorry you'll have to wait till it's delivered.' taken care of immediately even knowing the other med might show up eventually
This is the experience you should be having, and if you aren't then you deserve it and should find the right doctor!

2023.06.09 21:25 glitteronice My 0.25 is waiting for me at the pharmacy!
Hi All!
I am picking up my first box of 0.25 wegovy today. My dr prescribed it to me a month ago and finally, after a tumultuous prior authorization period, it was approved this morning and filled at the pharmacy a few hours ago.
I had a quick question though. For your first dose, does it matter if you take it on a full or empty stomach?
I am planning on taking it tomorrow morning and was curious if having an empty stomach mitigates some of the side effects like nausea, diarrhea, etc.
Thanks for your input and very excited to start this journey. It’s been a long time coming. 💕

2023.06.09 21:09 booalijules Waiting 30 minutes past when my appointment was due.
I have it by monthly Suboxone doctor appointment and today I have a substitute because my doctors having a baby. I'm almost always in about 15 minutes early before my appointment and this time I should have a half hour early today to meet with the counselor before I meet with the doctor those of you who are in a suboxone clinic I understand this. Anyhow they've moved this new doctor to an entire different part of the building and it's now been 30 minutes past my appointment and I've only got an hour to get to the pharmacy downtown that closes early. I'm saying an hour after I spend 30 minutes talking to a doctor here. If I don't catch the buses just right I am going to be completely screwed cuz I will not be able to pick up my medications and they're closed on the weekend. This is a couple pictures of the clinic I go to in Durham. I guess it's worth it to get four suboxones a day. These days I'm only taking it too so I'm stashing the rest for later. I'm okay with keeping 60 around every month for a year. That adds up pretty good and if anything ever happened I'd be covered for quite a while plus you never know what might happen in other situations?

2023.06.09 20:30 the_anxiety_haver Out of stock, of course.
I've been on Wegovy for a month, and I'm down about 8 lbs. (yay!) Now, it's time for a refill at an increased dose and of course - no local pharmacies have any Wegovy in stock at all. Not CVS, not walgreens, not the little mom and pops. I'm due for my dose on Sunday and I'm just really worried about what's going to happen if it's a long delay.
Really just a vent, I'm sure lots of you are going through this as well.

2023.06.09 20:10 muffinmama I'm reinstating my state (SC) certification, and I need to take 20 hours of APCE or CME cat 1 CE. What is the best way to do this?
Previously, I worked for Rite Aid and was SC/PTCB certified but I left the field and let certs expire back in 2017. I'm applying for a new PT job and in order to reinstate my state cert for SC I need to complete 20 hours of APCE or CME cat 1 CE.
I found a ton of free CE's on
https://elearning.ashp.org/ but I'm not sure if they're what I need since they don't seem to be actually related to pharmacy (most of them anyways). Are these the correct CE's needed?

2023.06.09 20:00 NibblaNinjaNagger I love killing Mercys way too much, anyone else got this problem?
Something about her cute grunts when she gets hit, her screams of pain when she finally dies and the helpless panic bunnyhopping looking for a GA target to escape me while I'm slowly killing her is what makes my mouth water. I just love watching this character suffer, especially when I can see their player is struggling hard and having a bad game. Not knowing who to fly to, being ignored by her team and getting no peel at all, this is what keeps me going. I even teabag them sometimes, to pour extra salt into the wound, especially when they're the last one alive and desperately tring to rez someone or contest the point to win some time. Making fun of them in Match chat is also inevitable. I'm not toxic to any characters mains in this game at all, except to Mercy mains. I love pissing them off so, so much. I don't even know why, I main Mercy too, having the most hours on her by far, but whenever I play someone different I just have to hunt her across the whole map until I kill her, even if I die too, all the time, especially when they're bad, to make them feel even worse. Anyone else got this problem? Maybe I played too much Moira, is that it?

2023.06.09 19:29 blackbeardactual22 I just got an awesome chest piece done by Rob Thomas of Sink or Swim Studios in Marietta, GA. I’d like some advice on the next (upper arm) tattoo.
| Hello everyone, This beautiful tattoo is themed using inspiration from the Great Smoky Mountains/North GA mountains. I plan to work my way down the arm and finish a sleeve. Could you give advice on tattoos to continue this theme? I’m an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman in general. I love nature and wildlife especially. I’d like wildlife like deer, bear, trout, and ducks in the sleeve. I’d love to hear what directions you’d take or examples of something along those lines. submitted by blackbeardactual22 to TattooDesigns [link] [comments] |

2023.06.09 19:26 Green-Yard-2799 Update about ER question!!!
UPDATE! Firstly, everyone who commented on my past over the course of the past few days was amazing! Thank you so much for your concern!!! I did go to see my doctor on Wednesday, she wanted me in pretty immediately to see me. She did blood work and also got me a cardiology referral and I'm going to be put on a heart monitor. Next day blood results came in and she called and said I'm anemic so I need to take daily iron. I thought it was simple enough then.... But yesterday when I was driving myself home from my pharmacy, my face started ticking uncontrollably. I got home and it wouldn't stop and started happening through my body, just random and uncontrollable jerks. My head also started to hurt really bad. I thought I was having a seizure or stroke or something so my husband took me to the ER right away. Unfortunately I was scared, so I was crying when I got there, so they pretty much immediately labeled me as having a panic attack. The nurses were really nice. They did a CT scan on my brain which didn't show anything. They gave me Adivan along with a 3 day prescription for it, and sent me home. The doctor literally said he doesn't know what's happening. The Adivan calmed the tics so I went home and slept about half the night until the meds wore off and the tics came back. It's the next morning and I'm still having them, though not as bad as yesterday. Mostly just rapid blinking at the moment.
Also I do have 2 small children and I'm a stay at home mom. My 4 yo daughter has some special needs and we are working on an ADHD/autism diagnosis for her. Taking care of her, a 2 year old, and myself is nearly impossible. They take more spoons than I have to give and I have none leftover for myself. I slept 11 hours Wednesday night, and 12 hours last night. My kids are with their grandparents all day so I can try to rest. But this is hard and I honestly don't know how to do it.... I know that my resting will be over in a few hours and it will be back to parenting again. This may have been the cause of my tics and the Adivan did help without any huge side effects. Maybe it was just stress.... I honestly dont know and I'm tired of searching for answers.

2023.06.09 18:22 Raindrop_hopscotch Looking to pay someone to write a shortcut for me
Hi All,
Like a lot of people, I have ADHD and I take Adderall. Unfortunately at this moment, I need to call every pharmacy in my area every thirty days as the supply is so short that I'm not sure when or where they will have it next. I'm looking to PAY someone to write a shortcut for me that will take an excel full of phone numbers and call them one by one, and then just record some answers for that specific pharmacy.
I'm at my wits end and spending 2 hours a month to call all the pharmacies and manually type in every number and input data is just not worth it anymore. My budget is anywhere from $30-50 depending on the complexity!

2023.06.09 18:18 curiousabt1t Question for anyone who works in the pharmacy
We’re a small office (4 clinicians) with a physical location that also offers telemedicine availability to our patients (who must be FL state residents). A patient lives two hours away - and the Publix there refuses to fill our rx - despite us having a local office - because the pharmacist says if he wants the medicine bad enough he can find (and wait) for a local psych to have availability and they will be refusing all controlled rx through telemedicine.
He’s going off the fact that our office is 2 hours away.
Can you give me the details of the Publix pharmacy regarding telehealth rx - the actual rule - so that if I need to escalate on behalf of patients I can?

2023.06.09 18:14 Previous_Shower5942 First concert at LCA
Hi, I’m gonna be going to the Drake show in July, and I have a few questions because I am a little anxious, I’ve never been to a concert before and I am familiar with Woodward a little because I go to WSU but I don’t pay a bunch of attention as I’m kinda in and out during school.
- The show starts at 7, what time should I arrive? I dont have GA, I have Seated tickets, so when would be a good time to leave home to avoid the traffic, I don’t necessarily care If im a little late to the show but i definitely don’t want trouble with parking (i live about 25 mins away without traffic)
- When is a good time to leave to avoid traffic as well. I do not want to be stuck in traffic for hours, what strategies do you guys use to swiftly get in and out of the area?
